Passed some tests of fetal well-being today. I am relieved (I don't want to induce yet). I hope the baby is ready by Wednesday at latest because my doula goes on vacation on Thursday and I'd have a backup I've not met. They'll induce Friday if not before.
The nursery is almost finished, and I'm recovering well from a turned ankle.
I can't believe I'll have a baby in my arms this time next week!

Lunasa, how exciting, hope to see an update from you soon!!
AM, congratulations hon!!
We need more baby pics everyone lol Emah is doing well, we are hoping she gets to come home by the end of next week depending on her weight and if she can maintain her temperature. Other than that, nothing much going on here, 1 more week until my hubby gets back from Africa! Haven't seen each other since we got back from London.

Hi all been a very stressful week. Not feeling well & labor has started than stopped several times. Had an ultrasound on Fri & baby looks great & is estimated at 8lb 9oz. Dr was not as concerned with his weight as I was & sent me back home. Have the Dr again tomorrow & I will be officially past my due date really hoping he will send me right to the hospital. Evidently this little one isn't as ready as I am to be born!

Sorry it took so long for me to post, just home from the hospital today. Thank you everyone for the good wishes, it was a long labour but surprisingly easy at the end! (and worth it of course!)

Hi girls, came back from the Hospital yesterday to read such lovely messages and good wishes and to see Lunasa's beautiful baby Ellie. She is gorgeous, congrats!
Our little Anya was born on 22.7 at 8:02am via C-section, it was all very quick and uncomplicated. Even though I pushed the CS past 39 weeks she was born tiny! She measured 45cm, weighed 2.558kg at birth and is the sweetest little thing. They checked my placenta and said all was normal, and Anya is perfect, just a tiny baby, she was the smallest full term one in the ward. This is our tiny little Princess :)

Nicolas Damon was born August 3 at 4:33pm... he was 9 lbs 6 oz and 22 in, very attentive, healthy and sweet. We ended up with a cesarean delivery.... baby is very healthy and I'm recovering well. It is so challenging to learn to breastfeed and take care of him while recovering from the surgery! He is beautiful, and I'm glad he's finally arrived.

Little Anya is feeding really well. I had breast surgery in the past and was told I can't produce enough milk for her but she is having almost all of her feeds of expressed breastmilk and only 1-2 formula bottles. Very happy about that! She put on 500g in 6 days and is getting chubby. DH had to buy premmie clothes for her as the NB ones were too big! I am having the best time of my life and enjoying every minute (maybe not the sleep deprivation, but even that is a blessing, as long as she's thriving).

Anya is finally filling her newborn clothes at 3 weeks! She is feeding well and even with my breast lift in the past I'm still producing all of her feeds with 4 more to spare!!! Very happy about that! Problem is, she got used to the bottle and is very lazy on the breast. I'm seeing a lactation consultant and trying to get Anya back on the breast. She will latch, suck on for 5 minutes, then sleep, wake up, another 5, sleep, it's a time consuming job breastfeeding her, I am trying as I would love for her to be breastfed only, but if she doesn't get more into the boob I might have to put her on formula because expressing is taking so much of my time! :( Really hope she cooperates!

Congrats 2to3, with your lovely son Jaxton! Looks like he's alert indeed! I didn't see the eyes of my little girl before one day after giving birth! She felt asleep immediately (or continued sleeping LOL) right after she was born and she is still sleeping most of the time (luckily, like most baby's do, i was already afraid to have a second restless, crying baby like my second...).
Hope you're all enjoying this special time with your LO's, like i am. They grow up soooo fast.

Hi girls! Just touching base to see how everyone's going? We're well here, Anya is sleeping pretty well at night, last night from 9:30pm-3am, then from 3:40-6:30, so not too bad for a 6 week old I guess. She is very spoiled during the day though and resists like naps like crazy! I finally threw in the towel with breastfeeding and decided to put her on formula as it was getting way too stressful, after 3 days of engorgement and leaking like a tap, milk is finally drying, it made me very sad to stop but she wouldn't take the breast too well and was always hungry and I was pumping around the clock to feed her, too much work! Things are settling though and dare I say we are getting into some sort of routine. DS is finally adapting and stopping being so naughty. He's been driving me nuts the last few weeks! But he is a little helper and does help me with her, which is sweet. Hope you ladies and bubbas are all well x.

Love her!!!!! So glad things are settling down for you guys! I had to put Emah on formula too because it was getting too stressful and with having to travel to and from the NICU every other day was too much. I EPed for 6 weeks and then I finally dried up!!
Things are going well here too. We have been running into trouble as far as trying to go back to Africa so there is a good possibility that the kids and I might have to go back alone without hubby and that is going to be stressful. With 20 days to go I don't see how we are going to accomplish everything and get tickets to go back on the 27th :(

Emah is such a cutie, I see her pictures and I feel like giving her a cuddle :), I'm glad she's doing so well. I also expressed for 6 weeks, but the heartbreaking thing is having more than enough milk and letting it dry! I cried for 2 days trying to accept that decision, but I was tired and DS wasn't having the best of me because of all the expressing, no time for him at all! So I believe it was the best decision. It was pretty painful for 2-3 days, but now it's practically all gone even though I still give her the breast for soothing and she still gets something out of it, she uses it as a dummy as sleeps straight away :)
It sounds like it's about to get very hectic for you, you've waited so long for DH to come home and now you have to leave without him? That sucks! :( hope all goes well x

Hello friends,
I'm glad that some of you are still posting, and I hope we can continue to keep in touch.
It is hard to believe that 6 weeks ago I was just about to go to the hospital to be induced. Nicolas will be 6 weeks old on Sunday!
The days are going fast, and he keeps getting bigger and his baby hair is falling out. He is smiling now : )

Hi girls sorry I haven't been on much, life is quite busy now as I know you all understand. It's great to hear that all the babies here are doing well.
Aidansmum I am in the same boat as you with the daytime naps! Anya is gorgeous :)
Eliana is doing great, but likes to be held ALL the time so it's difficult to get her to sleep for very long in the day. I'm breastfeeding so she uses me as a soother most of the time.
GreaseMonkey Emah has got so big :) I hope the stress levels go down for you soon

I really hope we keep in touch, we shared some very special times here together, even from afar.
Isn't it priceless when they give us that cute little smile? It's pure bliss! Anya is also all smiley and cooing a lot, DH always hears it through the monitor and rushes to catch her 'speaking' but usually arrives too late :) Ge got a coo tonight though before going to work on night shift and that made him pretty happy! Did Nicolas get his immunisations yet? I took Anya 2 weeks ago and she had a hard time with the Rotavirus one! She's finally coming good now. Post more pictures girls, I love to see our bubbies progress! x

OMG Lunasa, she is gorgeous! I LOVE her hair! How cute is that :)
I hear you my friend, my back screams at the end of the day, even though Anya isn't that heavy, we weighed her today, she's weighing 4.350kg for 8 weeks, but she looks quite chubby! Her tummy doesn't like formula :( She's been miserable the last two weeks since I stopped BF, we tried 3 different ones and thank goodness the last one, Aptamil Gold HA seems to be more gentle on her tummy, but it got me back expressing to see if I can build supply again and give her EBM for a bit longer, it will be hard but one can only try.

Just had a look, you are still attached to the pump though arent you...that's my biggest problem, I am managing to pump about 5-6 times a day and once overnight, it's the third day since I started from dry again, I got a measly 20ml this morning :( I am having motilium, they say it takes 2 weeks to work.....let's see.

Hi girls! It was nice to hear everyone is doing so well. I LOVE all the baby pictures, they are so cute and just want to hug them all. We are doing well here. Baby M is about 3.5 months old and I'm enjoying every second. She still gets up 1-2 times a night, and starting to wear on me, but I know these moment don't last forever. She is starting to prop up on her elbows sometimes and loves to smile, laugh. The boys still adore her. Here she is. I hope everyone keeps in touch.

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA! Jamie is 14 weeks today, 14lb and growing like a weed! He has loads of space in his 3-6 month sleepsuits, but the feet are already snug. He has his daddy's big feet.
We're working through colic and reflux, although the colic seems to be sorting itself out. Have tried him on all kinds of meds for reflux, none of which work. Sticking with the gripe water which is the least worst option. He still pukes acid, but at least he's a happy puker rather than screaming in pain with it. Thinking I'm going to wean him early and hope it works. He hates tummy time with a passion. Thinking it may be because of the reflux, but will lie there and scream, even when using a rolled up towel to prop him up. We're working on it, but feel sorry for him, poor little guy. That aside, he's a smiley, chatty, cheeky little guy. He'll eat around 22:00-23:00 and will go down until around 06:00, change and feed, back down around 07:00 and up again around 09:30 so not bad at all, I guess. Could still sleep for England but that's nothing new for me!

Snips, she is absolutely gorgeous! Not wonder the big brothers are crazy about her!
Bunny, I feel your pain, Aidan had very bad reflux and projectile vomited 4 out of his 6 daily feeds! It only got better when I put him on the APtamil AR formula! It's really thick and it stays in, but he would still vomit 1 -2 feeds, just not projectile! Not easy! At least he is a 'happy' puker, Aidan was too, Anya brings up a little bit of milk, she's not a very pukey baby, and complains like the world is gonna end lol He's a good little sleeper too, that's good. Anya is doing the same, one feed at about 3ish and then waking up at 7, feeding and sleeping again until 9:30, can't complain! LAst night she slept from 9:30pm to 7am straight though! I woke up with a startle and checked on her because I was worried lol she was just sound asleep and I ended up waking her up, silly momma :)

Nicolas slept about 7 hours last night and has slept nearly that long a couple times. I'm still waking up at least once a night leaking or needing to pump.
He hasn't had shots yet, and I'm kind of dreading that appointment. I might just stay up all night after his shots watching him to make sure he's ok.

She's such an angel, and yes, those lashes, any grown up girl would envy her :) As to what to do to get her not to sleep on the boob I've heard you get them off right before they are sound asleep, I guess it was in a book called 'the no crying sleep solution, but I never tried. DS1 was the same and I ended up co-sleeping because it was the only way I could get some sleep.

Lunasa, i envy her lashes!! Wow!
My second son needed my boob to fall asleep untill he was 17 months. Unless you have problems with it, it isn't bad AT all and really good to keep your supply up. It's non-nutritive feeding and very normal for baby's. But i know from my own experience it can be exhausting. Once i just accepted it, i became more relaxed.
My daughter doesn't need my boobs for falling asleep and doesn't even want to suck when she couldn't fall asleep (which is seldom the case fortunately). I carry her in a wrap then. Have you tried it? A woven one for summer works really well inside the house (h.oppediz 'das l.eichte' for example)

Lunasa, those eyelashes! So adorable. My little girl won't take a paci either. She does like to nurse to sleep which I let her at night. During the day she is on a eat wake sleep schedule, so shes awake after feedings. We then play and when ready for nap we rock, pat back all the soothing stuff.
I used that schedule with my boys and I think it helps nighttime sleep. She is now sleeping thru the night.
One thing I've learned with 4 kids, sleep makes them sleep. If they don't nap much they will be up at night...hope that helps! Enjoy her.

Nicolas doesn't like the Maya sling wrap I've been trying to put him in. He wails and wants to get out. Once he settled and fell asleep but I don't know what was different that time. I'll keep trying. Today I took him to the grocery store for the first time and just propped his car seat in the cart. I was a little jealous of the moms whose little ones were content to be worn in slings.
He's been a handful the past couple of days but also absolutely adorable.
Tomorrow is my first day back at work, and I'm only going to go in one day a week the first two weeks and then two days for awhile. I'm fortunate to be able to set my own schedule, and my husband works from home those days so he'll be with Nicolas. Still it will be hard to leave him for eight hours.
Today we did "Mommy and Me Yoga" which was fun.

Hope all of you are doing good. I will try to catch up on past posts but little man is not a fan of sleeping during the day. He sleeps great at night though so I can't really complain he just doesn't leave me much time to get anything else done esp w/how busy I am with the older kids.

He's beautiful. My Nicolas was 22 inches, too. But nearly a pound less than Myles (9lbs 6 oz). He's sleeping pretty well through most nights.I guess that's a benefit of a bigger baby. Sometimes i wish Nicolas was smaller, my back and arm muscles are really sore some days : ) And it makes him seem so much older.
Tomorrow we take Nicolas for his first set of shots and we'll find out how much he weighs. He was 12lbs and 24 inches five weeks ago so I bet he's nearly 15 now!

Afm Eliana is 12 weeks tomorrow and have to say she is far more demanding and needy than my two boys ever were! She's very hard to put down for naps on her own but will sleep like a log if I am lying beside her, so at the moment I'm just going along with it. I've read that babies can't self soothe before four months so she has another month of getting her own way lol.
AF returned last week which was a big surprise as am exclusively bf and it didn't return until I'd weaned my two boys.
I hope you all are doing great and enjoying your little people :)

Nicolas is 11 weeks today and quite needy and adorable.
He just keeps eating... wonder if he's having a growth spurt.
Being back at work part time is a challenge. I wanted to do some exercise or go outside and see the sunshine but instead I cooked for like half an hour and had dinner guests. It was good to see our friends.

Lunasa, my little girl was the same not a great Napper or sleeping until 4 months started. I could do a nice routine with her then. She eats plays and takes a nap about every 2 hours or so. I remember with my other ones the schedule didn't start until around 4 months.
She is doing great rolling over both ways sometimes log rolling, laughing and so sweet. Love her to pieces! Plus the feeling that this is now my family is such a great feeling. No more wondering ,maybe one more baby. Although I would love another one I am very blessed with 4 healthy kids and looking forward to all the next stages with them.❤️

Hi ladies! Oh my gosh, I have some catching up to do! I am sad that I missed some of you that left! It is crazy, the journey, stories, support, excitement, and tears we went through and shared. :) It is great seeing everyone's babies!
I couldn't get on with my phone for the longest time, finally got that sorted out, then just couldn't find a few minutes to get on. Things are good here, Jaxten is 11 weeks already! He is doing good...he spits up a lot!
As for me, what started off as the quickest easiest recovery, has really gotten drawn out. I'm still spotting, and ended up finding out that my hCG was still up and there was a little bit of retained placenta. So long story short I cannot wait to be normal again! I'll try to post a picture soon!!

Here's my baby boy <3 Wish his eyes were open more in this picture,! Pretty good baby, though he has times when he is high maintenance! He does not like floor time much, he's spoiled and only wants the swing or to be held, which can pose a challenge sometimes.

She still prefers to be held most of the time...I will try and post a more recent picture. Just bought her Christmas dress

My little Anya is 3 and half months old now. She is a poor napper but a good night sleeper, she smiles a lot, chats a lot to us and her toys and already rolls from tummy to back and is very close to rolling the other way too, I can see her practicing even in the middle of the night on my video monitor. I weaned her off BM for the second time, long story, formula gave her cramps so started pumping again at 6 weeks after milk had dried, got full supply again but she won't have the breast, so I've been feeding her BM all this time but I decided it's enough as it's hard work keeping supply up with pump only and she can tolerate formula a bit better now. She is a delight, little brother is crazy about her and daddy melts everytime she smiles :) Hope everybody is well. I love seeing the bubs, they are gorgeous! Crazy to think they are growing so fast, I can't believe snips' baby girl is already 5 months old! Bittersweet as I am enjoying Anya's babyish ways so much! Specially because she is small and even though she is almost 4 months she still wears 000! Tight fit, but still wearing them :)

Such a cutie! Can't believe she's turning over already- Jamie wants nothing to do with being on his tummy, although he's waving his legs around in such a way out won't be long until he turns over much to his surprise. I don't think he'll be too happy about it though.

Aidan was the same! Wanted nothing to do with tummy time and didn't roll until he was 6 months! But when he started he didn't stop, at 11 months he was walking! They go at their own pace.

Jamie is 6 months old now and growing like a weed. Weighs a tonne, too (was 18.5lb when we had him weighed 3 weeks ago)! Loves his food and now has breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as bottles. Due another weigh in today, will see how he tips the scales!

Goodness me Bunny! Bless him, you're gonna have to work overtime to feed that one :)
Aidan was on the 90th percentile at that age, then dropped to 75th, and he's still there at 4 years of age. He eats like a horse! Anya was on the 5th percentile when born, now she's on the 50th, so much smaller, and so fussy to eat, even to finish her bottles it's a nightmare! She takes ages and snacks all day, definitely not a big eater. I started her on solids when she turned 4 months (basically baby cereal and some fruit) and she likes it, but she has like a quarter of one of those baby food pouches and is happy with that. I remember first time I gave Aidan some baby cereal and mashed banana at 4 months, he scoffed the whole thing down then had a tummy ache all afternoon, he always ate like a champ! Anya will be trouble in the department I can tell. Here's a recent picture (she LOVES her bath!).

Jamie likes his food, but he's apparently quite tall which is likely why he weighs more. He was on 5x 8oz bottles a day but has dropped to 5.5-6oz now he's eating.
Aww, I'm glad she loves her bath, so cute! Little man seems to be scared of the bath. Any bath, no clue why. I'm hoping when he has better balance when he sits up (he can sit up but still has a 'round bum' so still have to hold him tight) he'll be more distracted if I give him bits to play with and will enjoy it more. Yes, this is the same child who doesn't bat an eyelid about repeatedly trying to throw himself off my lap. Figures...

Hello! I know most of us don't check this much anymore, but I thought I'd leave a message anyway. Nicolas just turned 8 months old. I cannot believe how fast the last 35 weeks feel. Whoever said I would love my little boy to bits was right. I do. He's very sweet. Sometimes I still wish for a girl (but not that Nicolas would be different). It was wonderful to have everyone's support throughout last year, and I hope you are all well.

Aww he's so cute, Gafan! In all honesty IF I were to have another one and were told it was another boy, I'm not sure it'd bother me... I know how little boys 'work' now, to now be told I'm having a girl would be lovely and exciting, but would be a little nervous in that I'm not sure if it would be a while new learning curve iykwim. Not sure if that makes sense or if that sounds ridiculous :hide:. It's maybe not like that at all but have no point of reference as to if both experiences are very different or not.

Bunny, it happened to me when I found out I was having a girl, after being a mum to 3 boys I was a bit scared I wouldn't know what to do with a baby girl, but I guess the good old motherly instinct kicks in a you just know what to do, I feel the difference in subtle ways, but a baby is a baby and as long as you keep them fed, entertained and happy, they thrive :)

And they all look gorgeous and healthy! maybebaby I had Anya at 41, no biggie ;) No more babies here, had tubes tied, after 3 boys and 1 girl, I feel my mission is complete :) This is a little snapshot of my little Anya who is now 13 months old, walking, climbing, babbling and into everything :) Let's keep this thread going, even if it's just to log in once every 6 months with an update :) 2694426945

We're crawling like a pro here and will stand on his hands and feet but not walking yet. My DM was saying sometimes if the baby's taller, standing can seem like a long way down to them so they may need longer to get used to it. Not sure if that's true or not, but soon... We're definitely into everything, though. Our favourite for now is 'posting' toys - all his books and toys are all shoved in gaps under furniture! And throwing. Lots of throwing.

Bunnywabbit, I am also of two minds about whether or not to try for another baby. Some days I think it would be wonderful and other days I think I have my hands full with Nicolas and could devote more to him as an only child. Here he is at almost 15 months old. He loves to cruise, throw things, and "post" things like books and toys you said Jamie did at that age.
