Hello Everyone! This is my first month TTC with a pink sway. I feel like there is only a small chance of getting a BFP this month because our situation was sooooo awkward when we DTD (the story might be tmi, lol). I am 6dpo and my period tracker app says I have 7 days to go before expecting af. I am thinking of testing at 10dpo but I have really never tested until after af was late, I think.

I have been lurking on this thread to pass the time. Super excited for Rosie, and everyone who has gotten their bfp and bummed for everyone else but I feel like I will likely be in the same boat. My fingers and toes are crossed!

well...he was under a ton of pressure this time because of the way things went down and we went at it for a looong time. Finally he just, um, did it himself until he was about there and stuck it in at the very last minute....I really don't think there is much chance after that and the several times we had to hit the KY why bottle up for lube.....yikes!

I kept thinking that this was an awful way to try to get our next baby, although it makes for a funny story I guess.

Awww, future I feel your pain! We attempted this cycle (1st June ovulation). We tried two days without success :( the last time we almost had the same ended as you. Sadly it wasn't to be :( wishing you luck. If you're successful I think you would probably be on for a good chance at your pink bundle :)

Aww, Boysway! Sorry to hear that. Guys sometimes have a hard time with the pressure of everything, even when they are usually raring to go otherwise! I forgot all about that this time. My first two LOs conceptions were much easier...just dtd a bunch of times around O but I was really trying to stick to the one attempt at +opk. I'm sure I got something from it but he had also been doing FR up until that day and I am just not sure if there were enough swimmers in there or not, lol.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I have no reason to believe that I would have any problems with it (barring that experience). I've gotten BFps after one month of trying with my first too (Which I know is a blessing bc so many struggle). I just know girl swaying can lower overall fertility too. AHHH!

Thanks future. I am blessed too. I got pregnant first try all 5 times now. Only the one loss so far so I'm praying it doesn't happen with this one though it already feels different. So even with girl swaying it's totally possible to get preggo right away! Granted maybe I have a boy inside me but yeah. I hope it's not a sign I wasn't swaying good enough! Haha

Well, I survived the 5 day fishing trip with the family...just barely. By day 4, I couldn't stand to be in the same room with sis-in-law any longer. I swear if I heard her complain about one more pregnancy related discomfort, I was gonna kill her. my first month TTC, I tested every day from 5dpo. Talk about torture. I learned my lesson and waited until 7 dpo the next month, lol. So deflating seeing all those bfn..... I took at least 27 tests those first 2 months (mostly dollar store).

After Rosie got positive OPKs AFTER O, I took a couple of IC opk tests yesterday and today thinking that maybe I would be able to tell. I also used a dollar store PG test which of course was negative at 6 dpo. GRRR. Fx crossed for you too!!

Future go ahead and use the opk...watch for a gradual darkening. My opk was positve at 11dpo! The same day I took a frer. My.frer was not as dark as my opk.

AF should arrive today. I'm on nightshift #4 (currently just past 4am here) and my temps have been doing funny things including quite a low temp two days ago despite recording the temp 2:40pm. If AF doesn't arrive today then my LP has become longer. I'm currently 14 DPO, my longest LP. I think the Brewers yeast tablets have a lot to do with it.

I got my last + OPK early last Thursday evening so I might have o'd on Friday, right? That would put me at 7dpo right now. I was originally thinking that meant I o'd Thurday...

Futureminime, sorry I didn't reply to you before. I've been replying from my phone and it's usually a pain in the bum to reply. Yes, hubby had performance anxiety. He just felt too pressured. I try not to tell him when ovulation is coming up but, it's not often we bd anyway. In fact, out of curiosity I just looked back and since late January we have bd five times, that it! Dh has very little libido or energy :( I'm hoping the tablets I purchased online help.

Afm, Af should arrive tomorrow. I am currently on CD 34, 13 DPO. I think the Brewers yeast was what delayed ovulation and I suspect it is also what has lengthened my LP. I only hope it is beneficial in the end.

Very excited. The tablets I ordered for dh arrived yesterday and he started them today. Let's hope they kick in before ovulation :) I've just ordered more as well. Dh needs to take two tablets twice a day for the first two weeks then 1 tablet twice a day after that. There is only 60 in a bottle.

I couldn't sleep last night, stressing that this attempt has probably failed. I've had inconsistent waking times thanks to DS4 so my chart isn't conclusive. In fact it says I am D3PO yet my positive opks came after this. So I have no idea what's going on. I guess time will tell. And like everyone else I am so inpatient and just want this next week to whizz by so I can test! I had no ecmw this month. I've never had pregnancy signs during the 2WW, just a feeling of starting my period round the time it's due.... so I don't get any reassuring signs apart from a positive pregnancy test. Btw, I'm not sure I can trust this but I got a BFP this morning. It was Smu instead of fmu but all the tests I've taken since then are negative. Does anyone know if these ever give false positives? I think false positives are very rare! Omg, congratulations :) Antibiotics should have nothing to do with hcg. What other tests have you taken that came up negative!!!??

I've never heard of a false positive with a digital ever!!! In fact, the CB digital with the weeks counter is supposed to be pretty sensitive. I've definitely heard of people getting BFPs at 9dpo with those. Unless your other tests you took were FRERs I'd trust the digital and say congrats are in order!!!!

Girlie-- I definitely know how you feel. I have 4 best friends who have kids now and THREE of them have 2 daughters each!!!! Luckily, my other best friend has 2 boys as well and knows exactly how I feel. In fact, she swayed with me for a girl and is 8 weeks pregnant now!

You don't O till up to 48 hours AFTER your +opk so you definitely need to dtd again tonight since the sperm from 4 days ago will be long dead by the time you do ovulate.

Highest chance of pregnancy is when you dtd 1-2 days BEFORE O. You want the sperm waiting in the fallopian tubes when the egg drops and it can take up to 12 hours for them to get there after dtd. The egg only lives 24 max (probably more like 12 hours) so you definitely want the sperm there beforehand.

I got a positive on the indicator last Friday June 6, AF is due today. But I'm pretty sure I o'd days earlier than I should have. I'm guessing I was 9-10 days. I also had pos frer from they day too.

I'm kinda frustrated the hpt I got in bulk can't be used any sooner than the day before your missed period. The opk's are slowly getting darker, but bfn on the pregnancy tests. I feel like I have too many symptoms, and AF is just on her way. This nausea is non stop.

Aww that dosnt mean anything. Every pregnancy is different and u probably implanted earlier with ur son. The darkening of the opk is an awesome sign! I have a good feeling for u. Ive been using opks also. 2 days ago there was a barely there line and today there is a faint line again but more visible. But im still not feeling great cuz its still extremely faint and only a little darker then the previous one. I was never this crazy with my 2 other boys I never even tested until after my period wad due with them!

Girl dreaming ive heard spotting and cramping r a very good indication of implantation. I wish I had spotting because then I would b more confident that its not af! I pray u get ur bfp soon. 10dpo bfn is common alot of ppl dont get a bfp that early . With my last son I only tested at 14dpo because I was extremely tired and thats always a sign for me. Anyway the line was very very faint that I doubt had I even tested at 13dpo that I would have gotten a line

Seebee-- can you post a link to your chart? How many dpo are you? A temp dip mid-luteal phase can be a sign of implantation, most common is 7-8dpo. And then your temp drops again usually the day AF arrives or sometimes the day before. Hope it's an implantation dip for you!

So I totally forgot that DH would expect to dtd on Father's Day yesterday!!!! He doesn't know I'm swaying so couldn't explain and had to dtd again after my attempt 3 days ago!

We ended up dtd doggie style and I had an orgasm, then I freaked and immediately did a jump and dump, went pee, walked around the house, and took a Zyrtec!!!!

My first +opk was on CD12 and we had our first attempt then. But now we're on CD15 and still no temp rise and opk was still positive as of midnight last night. So, like the past several months, I think I'm going to ovulate today on CD15 like always. So if I get a temp rise tomorrow then I'd count last night as our attempt and hopefully all the sperm from the first attempt on CD12 will be dead! I really think I should skip the opks as I get several days of positives long before I O (last month the positives started on CD9 and I still didn't O till CD15!) and it just makes things more stressful thinking I'm O'ing early.

So wish me luck! Hoping tomorrow is 1dpo!

My story (nutschell version). TTC PINK

Rec faint positive day 11-12 of cycle with cheapo tests. Ran out day 12 and tested with digital one.. negative result? We DTD day 8 and day 13. After reviewing my chart it appears I did ovulate day 12. I am baffled and confused and frustrated bc I wanted to DTD right on the day of +.

I am now 6 DPO according to my chart.. lets hope for good news this month.

I have had cramping.. but I did last month as well. Also on my chart I noticed today a slight drop?

Robin You could very well have dtd on day of +opk I used digitals the cycle that I got my bfp and they were negative all cycle, even with testing twice a day so it can happen that you can ovulate and get a negative result Fingers crossed it worked for you

Robin-- I think you have a good chance if you dtd on CD10. Two days before O is a great chance for pregnancy! And your dip today is just a normal variation it seems. An implantation has to be a drop of at least .3 degrees or more. Fingers crossed.

I also got away with making brekkie haha! but we were staying with friends so there was no way I was getting jiggy there, and by the time we got home and put DS to bed we were sharing a bottle of wine and a camembert hehe then I fell asleep on the sofa so got away with it lol. In fact we havent BD since our actual attempt last month, guess we need to get back to it now lol

daisymoo - i had lifted the restrictions for the past few weeks, I still wasnt eating like before except for maybe at weekends but I had gone over. So this week I will make an effort mon-thurs again and do my best at the weekend but I find weekends are impossible. To be honest I have gone way past caring about TTC pink and just want to get PG. Clearly I am not fertile anyway so probably rather pink friendly!

Robin - sounds like great timing to me. Using OPKs can be very frustrating, I very rarely get a positive. Last month I got one only because i happened to test twice that day. If I hadnt done that, I would have missed it. Good luck!

No I won't ask her as I don't know her well enough she did describe her and her husband as very easy going and they just decided to try and see what happened. Overall chance being slim = better chance at pink :) and you just dont know, I have timed things so perfectly the past 2 months just like I did when TTC my DS and it was only on the 3rd time then that we were successful (granted there were MANY attempts in the fertile window each time!) and others have managed to get PG from one attempt and a whole load of other stuff, it really comes down to luck and you may well have gotten lucky!!

Im just on CD8 now, will start OPKs soon. Need to actually start BD soon too...

Kitkat- I always get a jealousy pang when I hear someone just has had a dd but I also get that envy if its a boy. I just love babies regardless of gender ! Having said that, my S'IL has a DD and she is lovely but I have no envy for all the fuss she has to give her. I'm quite independent and my children can amuse themselves whilst I get on with my things. The beauty of having same gender is that they do play similar games and need little entertainment. I guess it's all down to personalities too...

I think I'm DPO 1- had - TMI alert!!!- a blob of half stretchy opaque CM this am. Very strange.
Stephk, I'm glad you said 3 or 4 days between BD isn't really a big difference as that was my dilemma on Sunday as we were on day 3.
So now that we have had our attempt, do we still need to DTD at least once more or that should do it? Lol.

My DH is totally aware and informed of the sway and bless him, he is very into it. Friday we celebrated our 10th anniversary and we had really drunk sex (can't call it bd lol) but as it wasn't supposed to be one of the bd day, he 'stopped' himself. I didnt even know! He told me the next day that the sway is too important to mess up on a drunken spur of the moment. I couldn't care less at that time but I am very grateful he was 'guarding' the plan ;-)

lol daisy neither of us have the energy for daily BD!! If I suggested it to DH he would love the idea at first but would soon quickly get bored of it! Last time TTC we BD every day in the fertile window, that was exhausting enough! Anyway we will be starting either tonight or tomorrow, if I O on the same timetable as last time it will be monday or tuesday next week. So I am thinking tonight or tomorrow and then again on sunday will hopefully do the trick.

1/2 dpo for me.... I had O "pinching" last night about 1hr before DTD. First on the left and 10-15mins later on the right. I am nervous now thinking about it because the last time with DS3 I had pains on both sides and did get twins. I did take clomid this cycle for the first time so twins were a risk but not sure if I really want twins.

I already feel bloated which is normal for me to feel like this for 7-10 dpo. Last time I got prego I started to see faint bfp about 9-11 dpo so I will try to wait until 9dpo. I only use the walmart 88cent ones until it gives me a bfp and then I use a frer.

With all my previous pregnancies I have felt like I was starting my period and it never came...just checked my knickers a hundred times a day! From about 8dpo I start using my opks as pregnancy tests and when I see a line on there I then use a pregnancy test. Hurry up Sunday!

Hi everyone, I am not new, but new to posting. I have 3 sons and have been here reading and swaying silently after the first boy. Like many I always wanted at least one of each sex. Strangely I always knew I would be a good mom to boys and adored baby boys. I would absolutely have been sad to never have a baby boy. But I also longed to have a girl to share my favorite books and movies with. And I am so obsessed with girl clothes. I could care less about dressing myself fashionably but love love love baby girl clothes. I was a Daddy's girl growing up, but now that I am older I see how important a mom/daughter relationship is. We always get together to gab about everything and I never see my dad. Crazy how things change over time. My dad adored me and was hard on my brothers, but now he gets along better with them Even if I had a tomboy I feel like I could totally have fun with her as I had 2 brothers and no sisters. It is just different with girls.
So, my situation is that I had gotten to the point where I was ready to commit to going high tech next year around July and my husband was pretty much on board. I have a 5 year old, a 2 year old, and a 1 year old. It would have been good timing as far as the boys being able to talk and walk and be more independent. We were so torn because of the cost and the chance of spending the money and not getting pregnant at all. I was going through the old archives from 2009 on InGender and following GreenZelda and Pippi through their high tech journeys. I was so pumped! and ready to meet Dr. Potter! But worried too that I would spend that kind of money and end up with nothing!

So on the 9th of June me and my DH drank too much, the first time in a long time, and while DTD I requested that we not use a condom and he went along with it. The next morning I was horrified. It was so unlike me. I obsess about having a new baby and plan it to the nth degree. I can only guess that having babies on the brain and the fear of IVF cost made me want to just go for a natural.
So here I am in the 2ww and don't know how I feel. Part of me wants to be pregnant and thinks maybe this accident will be my girl, so I am a bit excited. girliedreamz - I think DH wanted to BD last night, well he mentioned it but he was also watching the football and I wasnt waiting up. So tonight will be the night unless he is watching football again. I dont see why I should lose sleep just to BD (unless I was ovulating of course!!)

Its only CD9 but I am going to start testing today because I have no idea what is going on with my body at the mo!! Going by last month I could O around monday but I dont want to miss it and 20 tests are £4 so its not expensive.

littlegirlblues - welcome, and hope you get the outcome you want this month, lots of oopsies are girls :) I personally am not going HT because we dont have the money to spend on it plus I will take what god gives me, if I am not meant to have a girl I will be sad but if thats what god has in store for me then so be it.

Littlegirlblues.... I know exactly how you feel. We were on the verge of going high tec. I'd been in touch with the clinics and convinced my dh that this was the way forward. But time was passing so fast and I need to be pregnant before going back to work in August. We discussed swaying and he was 110% infavour of doing this. He didn't like the fact high tec was "unnatural" and the cost was obviously a major factor. I read something online about mothers of boys and for the first ever I felt like if I end up with all boys I'll be ok. My theory is... we have both been strict with the LE diet and hope this is enough to sway, if we end up with all boys then this will be the last one and at least I will have lost weight in the meantime! if it is another boy then I will join a forum for boy mothers to gain some support from the only people who understand.

Swaying and desire is a hard thing to deal with.

When I was prego with DS1 I wanted him to be a boy, but the pee gender test said girl and I almost lost it. When the gender scan said boy I went shopping.

DH and I talked about only having 2 kids so we both wanted the pigeon pair. With DS2 I wanted a girl to complete our family but we had gotten preg before I could do any planning. My IUD fell out a month before he was conceived, my mothers day weekend baby. The weekend he was conceived we ate a lot of food buffets and cheesecake factory.

I planned and swayed for 4mths on diet before trying for 11 cycles for #3 to be a girl. I gave up everything after Christmas and got preg fast so I did sort of expect a boy. I do love him a lot and I did know the risk of having another boy and was open to it. Growing up I always wanted a lot of boys and only 1 girl.

Now that I am getting older and do not want to continue having kids for the rest of my fertility years I am down to my last time. DH really wants a girl for himself and his mom (explained to my older post). I really just want to give him a girl so we can have the chance to raise a daughter. I am still open to another boy and I already have a boys name picked and waiting. I am not going to decided on a girls name, unless they hand me a girl in the delivery room. So far I have picked 3 girls names one from when ds1 was a few month old, for (ds2) and (ds3) my DH's grandma passed a month before ds3 was born and I liked her middle name.

When I told DH that we could try one more time it was decided only one more time. I am young compared to some ladies here (33) but I do not want to get preg passed 35. I am going to continue trying every other month until I am 35 if nothing happens then I am getting my tubes tied, cut, burned, and removed!

With all this in mind I have to open to the chance of another boy. But like the rest of you we are not here to get preg if we are not open to the chance we will get "another" of the same. Even if it means broken hearts.

I just hope swaying works so everyone can have their dream come true!

My first was multiple...The second was 2 attempts the third was multiple with a cut off and my loss was one attempt and this pregnancy was 1.5 attempts. Lol I am just extremely extremely fertile so I worry I can't have a girl because of it.

I'm really fertile as well! Both kids were oopsies after not using a condom two times! This will be my 3rd cycle attempting so I think my fertility has been decreased, but there are plenty of girl moms that get pregnant first try so don't give up hope.

Just a quick stop in as I'm on nightshift. I think I'm pretty fertile. I just think dh's little swimmers aren't such great quality. First dd was conceived first month trying. Second dd we weren't trying long, third dd was first month trying, dd#4 (mine and dh's first child together) took a little longer but I believe it was primarily poor timing. Yet, I haven't conceived a boy. Point being, you can get girls when you fall pregnant easily.

I certainly don't consider myself fertile - my boy took 3 cycles of perfect timing and multiple attempts. God knows how long this time will take. It's been 6 months and on my 4th cycle now.

Oh, I've been so fertile that this bfn thing is totally foreign to me. I've had two oopsie babies while using bc (and using it to the tee!). So actively trying it something totally new and actively trying and not getting preg... weird. Really makes me appreciate what people who try for years just to have a healthy baby go through.

Littlegirlblues, I'm really hoping this is your "relaxed sway" girl! I would personally LOVE to do HT. We even have the cash to do it (I'm the breadwinner in the family, so I say where it goes. Ha!), but dh is super against it. He sounds a lot like Steph's dh... even swaying is totally against his grain. I mentioned HT to him, and he was totally against it to the point where I felt a bad argument over even having a baby brewing. I pointed out that *I* have to do all the hard parts, not him, but he just thought it was "unnatural." Sigh. Men. Anyway, if you can go HT, I say go for it!

3dpo for me and I am trying to chill so I don't think about testing. I have so much to do to get ready to move. But painting seems to calm me so I will stick to that for now.

For you ladies who are just starting or been going a few months. Stay strong and continue with a good sway. I did a LE diet from Feb-Christmas I did change a few supps and gels. We dtd from July-Dec. I gave up everything and got a boy in Jan. Taking a long time may help because you are not getting preg on the first time and concerned about a boy. But the stress and worry of swaying for a long time can affect you too. Relax and stick to your sway!

I honestly think it's because of the cut off. When we're just BDing everyday I have no problems getting pregnant. But I'm almost positive timing has a lot to do with it for me at least. Both boys were conceived with lots and lots of BDing. So I guess it's just going to take more time for me to hopefully get my girl.
