Hey aoii and lavie sorry you have been so sick that Sucks just as ms is supposed to be lifting!!
Mmmm!! I am totally useless with nubs if I was you and you want to take a peak I would look at confirmed boy/girl nubs there is a whole thread on gender dreaming.
Good luck tomorrow!! Will you ask your tech for a guess? Xxx

Not sure if there is any truth to the skull theory but here are all 3 scans around the same time and baby 3 does look different to me... I'm jealous of Robin. I'm only 4 days behind and I can't go in until the 17th.. I'm thinking of calling this other scan place in town and tell them a different due date so they will get me in.. 😉 I just don't know if it's too early?? http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/09/05/850c1c2b2b1de9c00f0643e313d9a067.jpg

I'm so excited for my appt in 2 days! It's my first official prenatal appt & it's not an officially "scheduled" us appt but at 14w4d by O and even further by "lmp" they would most likely do a scan right? I'm hoping so and getting really nervous/excited/ahh!, and really hope we catch as good of shots as Crazycat did!!

Well, I went to an expresscare for a scan.. no gender clues bc we could not get a single good shot. Since we didn't see any boy parts due to bad shots, the tech said the only guess she could make would be girl, and tht her first initial guess was girl anyway but of course the generic "can't tell with any certainty yet, it's still early" response followed. Baby measured 15w1d..So, I'm just trying to accept that this is another girl. And it's not going well so far with everything else going wrong between DH and I. I know I'll be happy once she's born though.

Not any Parts what so ever btw. A few days later we went for a private scan and it showed very clear a boy!

No my insurance only covers two scans unless they are medically necessary for another reason. I had the first which is normally done at 12, a dating scan, at 6 weeks because they wanted to be sure there was a heart beat before starting me on progesterone..so no 12 weeks scan for me :( They are doing my anatomy scan which usually is done at 20 weeks here at 17 though, so I'm happy there. 17 is late enough to tell. It's Oct 10th.

I will be 17 weeks on Wed and still having some slight MS, but nothing horrible as the pills I'm taking seem to hide it well. On Saturday I tried to back off the pills a bit and ended up feeling pretty awful, so I'm pretty sure it's still around, but I'm going to stick with the pills for another week or two and then try backing off again. With DD it let up around week 16, so hoping soon!

Hoping it ends much sooner for you ladies!!!

I am 14 weeks today and still struggling with morning sickness (or, more accurately, just sickness!). I think this is the longest it has hung around, although my last pregnancy it was longer than either of my first two. My midwife told me that even though many women experience relief at 12-13 weeks, many others have sickness until 15-16 weeks and she generally doesn't do anything about it (meds) unless mama is having a hard time keeping down all food, is losing a good deal of weight, or it lasts longer than 16 weeks and mama needs a break. And I can see what she means (I have had NO issue putting on weight, I am quite good at that in pregnancy. Lol). But I am anxiously waiting for a break. I feel pretty darn done with sickness now. I am sure my other kids would appreciate it too, it's been hard to do what we usually do (lot of outings, fun activities) when I have felt so punk.

Ok 15+1 today..
The last couple weeks have been a lot of the same but hmm what's new... My hair finally isn't as greasy! Acne isn't AS bad but still there. Bbs still not sore or tender but I'm a nice full 34D from a full 34B/low C!! They're looking great so I'm pretty excited about that lol Not really having cravings, it's still more like if someone else mentions something I have to have it, Carrots and cucumber with ranch was most recent. Actually every now and then I crave pickle juice! I've never been a straight pickle juice drinker but I literally poured myself a cup the other day lol. Loving orange&pineapple juice (not plain OJ!). & I think I'm feeling the start of movement!

Ah, I wish my boobs grew with pregnancy, but I basically go from almost filling out a B cup to filling it up, but nothing over the top, lol. I am just destined for a small chest for life :-)

At night I think I feel movement, but it's still not really kicks, but just the flutters. Hoping to feel a bit more soon, as I know that's when hubby really starts getting into it all, plus I think dd will have an easier time with the whole "there's a baby in mommy's tummy" idea :-)

I'm getting ready to fly out today for another work conference. These are usually a lot of fun, but there is always a lot of alcohol involved too, lol, which I will obviously not be partaking in this time. It's a mommy blogger conference, so it's 4 days of women who actually got away from their families (a lot of times for the first time in quite a while!)!! Needless to say it's more social than work :-) Should be fun, but will be exhausting, as there are classes and seminars all day and then parties every night, some of them themed and dress-up. I'm going to be beat! But at least the MS is mostly gone these days, so I feel pretty good and can't complain too much.

Had another ob appt today, 15+4 or possibly 16+1 by last US and hb was 136bpm.. I know hb really doesn't tell gender but dd was always in the 160s, the lowest I believe was 153bpm & much later on.. So this low hb isn't helping me accept that this is probably babygirl and not babyboy! Counting down until oct 9ths anatomy scan..still hoping they find a penis lol :/

yes, i posted them here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/ultrasound-gender-prediction/45181-13w3d.html

unfortunately there is no nub (to my knowledge!) in the pictures. The scan took about 10-15 mins - the baby wasn't in a good position to get a good view of the legs apparently so I had to keep moving around and coughing to get the baby to move. But I saw the brain, the bladder, stomach, spine, everything looked good, heart beating normally. I didn't actually know what I was looking at, the sonographer had to tell me. I didn't see anything that looked like boy parts but to be honest I really don't know what I am looking for despite reading all the guidance!!

And Steph, I see no clues on your pics. But I understand how frustrating it is when bubba doesn't want to cooperate. Mine was very uncooperative throughout the scan, flipping and flopping and turned away most of the time. Stubborn little babies ;)

Congrats princess! How gorgeous your family must be - would love to see a pic of your girls I bet they are all beautiful.

In a way I'm a bit relieved that there's uncertainty in the pics. If everyone guessed girl/all indications were girl I think I would have greater GD at the next scan. But because it's uncertain I cant get my hopes in 1 direction :)

Hi all!

Its been ages since I've been on here! I have very limited access to internet at the moment but thought id pop on and say hi and say congrats odd!! How exciting!! I am having a private non-medical gender scan next Thursday so really hope I can share your joy too.

Im actually feeling really worried about things though. Ive gone from being so sick to NOTHING! No sore boobs anymore, no heartburn, no nausea or vomiting, NOTHING! No movements, I don't even feel pregnant at all. Im so worried that this poor lady doing the non-diagnostic gender scan next week will find that theres no heartbeats. :(

I have had no dr apps or anything as the Dr i originally saw, referred me to the specialist fatal medicine unit at the hospital, but I haven't had a phone call from them. I tried to call them but they won't talk to me, only my Dr, so I have tried to call her and left messages explaining it all with the receptionists only to be told they will get her to call me, but still no call from anyone!!??!! And now my phone has been cut off cause were struggling with money big time atm so I can't even make anymore calls!! I can't afford to go to the Drs again, just to spend $90 to ask her to contact the hospital again?!!? Grrrrrrrr!!! Our health system is ridiculous!

Anyway, thats my rant over. ;)

I hope everyone is well. I haven't had a chance to read back through everything yet.

my anatomy scan is on 4th November but I booked a gender scan on 7th October which is a secret between us :)

Had worrying news from the midwife yesterday who said I came up as high risk for downs but the risk was 1/110 so to me that doesnt seem high risk (its 0.9%). I havent been able to have a conversation with her to find out what exactly made it high risk. Im not having the invasive procedures as its a higher (1%) risk that the baby would miscarry. The other option is the harmony tests but they are £500 and too expensive.

mum- good to hear from you and maybe you have no symptoms now because you are over the bad stage? I think we are due at the same time and I am 14 weeks now. Hope your scan goes well, look forward to positive news coming from that.

Congrats odd fantastic news honey I was wondering where you got too!!! Enjoy pink shopping!!

Mum I think you just turned the corner and are feeling good big congrats!!! Im sure its nothing to worry about, scan coming up soon woooohooo really really hoping its your girl/girl or boy/girl!

I think I would be pretty hopeful if my radiologist said girl blessed mama!! Good luck for your anatomy scan, it will speed by!

Steph hoping you get some more answers it is worrying but its still pretty low chance, hope your midwife gives you some other suggestions that are non invasive.

Felt normal the last two days hoping that's my ms out the door!!! 12 weeks Sunday and have my scan booked for 12.5! Can't wait to see little bubba and hoping all will be well (and no giant boy nubs!!) hehe. Xx

Congrats odd!!! So exciting! Enjoy pink shopping! I was told girl at a elective scan at 15 weeks and at another scan at 16 weeks!! Both said they had no doubt it was a girl! But it is still hard for me to believe!! The place I went at 15 weeks will do a second scan for half price within 2 weeks and today is the last day and I've been thinking of going just to make sure 1 more time... But that is probably crazy of me! 😆

crazycatcouple
September 24th, 2014, 11:02 AM
Yeah, we did the elective scan at 14 weeks to find out. It was $100 but she also did a full anatomy scan too, so it was nice to put any health related worries to bed at the same time. I think you have to decide for yourself how much money it's worth to find out early :-)

Mum, try not to worry. The past week or two I was feeling the same way - worried as I wasn't even feeling pregnant, but now I've finally started feeling him move around, so that's a nice relief. It's still not a lot, but I'm trying to just go with it and not worry because stress from worry is also not good for babies. I'm sure everything will work out and you will come back to us with fabulous news next Thursday!

Steph, when you talk to your OB, find out why the higher risk - was it due to measurements, blood tests, or age, etc. And no, I don't think 0.9% is very high... stay positive!

Blessed Mama, I would definitely have a hard time not celebrating, at least a little on the inside, lol. Fingers crossed your next scan confirms it!

And Aoii, I would think 2 different scans telling you the same thing should give you confidence, but if it's not and you have the funds, do what makes you feel best!

For me, I'm feeling pretty good. Weaning myself off the MS meds now, and I still seem to be feeling good, so that's nice. My bump is finally growing and now that I can feel him moving and can even sometimes find body parts, it's hard to believe he's still as tiny as he is! He seems to be huge and all over my belly, lol. I have a feeling he may be a large baby. My daughter was 7lbs 7oz at 3 weeks early, so hoping this one comes early too and doesn't have too much time to become enormous, lol.

Anyone decide for sure on names? We're still up in the air, but Declan (Dex) seems to continue to be the front runner.

Georgia_Peach
September 24th, 2014, 12:47 PM
I actually have been feeling the same. I don't feel her move as much as I'd like to and sometimes I start to worry. The second trimester has brought massive amounts of headaches for me. Tylenol doesn't work for me.
We are going to florida-disney- next Monday so I hope all the walking and heat doesn't trigger the headaches even worse!

Mumofsix..the period between 13 weeks to 19 weeks sooo hard. I hwas just discussing it with my husband thing morning.

As soon as I hit 13 weeks, my nausea and vomiting went away like magic and the panic slowly set in. I've started to feel the flutters here an there this week so it's kind of a relief but for the most part, I'm constantly afraid of somehow hurting the baby.

I'm sure you and the babies will be fine. best wishes to u

Glad everyone is starting to feel better. My bouts of feeling normal are lasting a bit longer too.

Aoii - I would be a scan addict lol I would just go to see the baby again hehe

Lovely names crazycat and Robin. I cant really think of names yet. Last time I hadnt even thought of Joseph until the week before and then when he was born I knew he had to be Joseph :)

My midwife said that my age was a small factor (36) she also commented on me being slim (asked if I was 63kg, not sure what relevance this has) and said that it was my blood tests. The baby's NT measurement was perfectly normal but my hormone levels were not - my HCG was high. So I am glad that all appeared to be well with the baby anyway. I am not surprised my hormone levels were out of whack considering what I went through after coming off BCP. I did wonder to myself if my low prog levels and short LP had anything to do with it but then thats just me overthinking!! Anyway, she said that I should have a medical scan in the next couple of weeks because I didnt want any invasive procedures and I agreed to this (partly to see the baby again) then if I want a blood test, its £350 so I will decide after the scan.

thanks everyone, I hope you're all right and I'm just being a worry wart! lol!!

If it was one baby, i probably wouldn't be as worried, or if i hadn't had a twin pg before, but last time with the twins I had no "honeymoon period" at all so thats what makes me worry more. It will be good though if this is just an easier pregnancy! :)

I have had massive headaches too Robin. And nothing helps them. They're horrible. I don't know if they're pregnancy related or stress though. Hopefully they will ease while you're away - how exciting!

Odd I feel very out of breath too especially if I stand up suddenly which the GP said is quite normal although I'm only eight weeks along though unlike your 19!

I've got no ms with this one so far whereas with the boys had nausea first twelve weeks on and off. Almost don't feel pregnant (took a test yesterday just to make sure and still am lol) Weird!

Hope you're all well ladies xx

My official scan is tomorrow morning! I'm definitely preparing myself, but I don't think there's enough prep in the world that could get me ready for the disappointment I know I'm on my way to feeling.. I have a great support system in place and just keep trying to remind myself how it was with dd. Holding that healthy baby fixes everything..

Aw thanks hon. I mentioned that id had a gender scan and been advised girl and the consultant agreed it looks like a girl (phew). He did lots of detailed checks and said that from what he could see, everything looks fine, but 40% of cases are not picked up by U/S and that's why they recommend amino/blood tests. I'm not having invasive tests. Spoke to DH and we won't go for the blood test either. It's only the HCG level (5 times higher than average) that's put me at high risk, nothing else. As this isn't something that affects the baby and every pregnancy is different, we are inclined to leave it as everything is probably fine. The consultant will do my next scan on 11th November too for extra checks. The midwives also said in their experience they thought the baby would be fine. They only brought this hcg test in 3 years ago and it's caused a lot of unnecessary worry for people.

So I am hoping to stop worrying soon, I think we have made the right decision :)

I had my 19 week scan today as well where they do the detailed scan. Everything they could 'see' looks great and she's all GIRL but there were a couple of minor red flags.

The baby is breech, which I guess so early doesn't mean much.
I still have left posterior Placenta Previa although marginal but that means I'm still to take it easy; more resting and less of anything else..'just in case'.
The baby is measuring a day or so behind, which also doesn't mean anything right now but as a mother, the worrying already starts.

Doctor said it's unlikely that the placenta will move much since it's posterior so to be ready for a c-section and also the baby might be measuring on the small side for the most part due to placenta location.

hope everyone is doing well!!!

Aw Steph that's great news The fact that the looked at the scan in detail and said everything looks perfect is great news Sounds like your little daughter is absolutely perfect! I think you can relax now and don't worry about anything
Odd your little one could still move around to the right position You have lots of time yet and if I was you I'd enjoy the time you have to rest before your little one arrives! My baby is measuring four days ahead and I'm already worried about delivering a big baby!!! We do always worry as moms don't we!!

Odd my DS was breech at 20 weeks - he turned later. Not sure about the placenta position. It hasn't been mentioned either time so I guess the position is ok. As for being a day or few ahead or behind I am sure that even in the womb babies have growth spurts and things :)

Good that we have each other to remind ourselves not to worry (which we will always do!!)

Great news regarding scan and seeing your DD again Steph! I too would not worry sometimes I wish there were not so many tests I know they are there for our protection but sometimes it feels like a lot of unnecessary worry.

What type of 7 passenger vehicle did you get? So exciting!!!!

Hi girls, the nausea has come on like a smack in the face! I was up all night feeling bleh! Isn't being pregnant great? :) Hopefully it doesn't last long.

My midwife comes over on Thursday to discuss where I'd like to give birth etc. But I would really like a homebirth so hope she will be on board!

Kitkat I've got a Mazda 5 Sport (7 seater) which DH got for me in May and I am absolutely in love with it and the amount of stuff I can shove into it (including kids lol).

Would love to hear how everyone else is feeling too xx

I think I must be about nine weeks!? I think I ov'ed layer than I thought I did so probably less than that. Waiting on my appointment day for my 12 week scan to get the accurate timing. I'm already 100% convinced it's boy #3 because my pregnancy has started off the same.

Hope you're all feeling well xx

Thanks for the thoughts ladies. I know I'll love this baby so much and once I meet her it will be like life didn't exist without her, but DH isn't feeling that way. Were having major problems, on top of him seriously struggling with the idea of his 4th girl and the fact that the timing is completely horrible and unplanned... It's a big mess and it's making it hard to feel a real attachment to my baby.. I just keep thinking I need to hold her to love her but that makes me feel guilty. I feel robbed of being able to enjoy my pregnancy. I'm just very sad very often, I feel hurt and betrayed by DH.
On another, much lighter note, I saw today how amazing dd will be with her little sister! My best friend has a 1 yr old dd that isn't quite walking and who we haven't seen since she was a newborn, so anywho she would cry and dd shouts "oh the baby's cryin for me!" And runs over to her to play in front of her with her toys on her walker and try to make her happy. And "oh, baby Aliya needs me!" And same thing with trying to make the baby happy. It was SO adorable! She's going to be a little mommy and she is so excited for a baby(:

Kitkat, congratulations on your new vehicle! I don't know if it's just me, but buying a car just makes me feel awesome lol

Sweet mummy, I'm having dd2 and was convinced it was a boy on symptoms.. Total opposite of dd1 and classic boy symptoms.. Even some OWTs/predictors like the baking soda gender test said boy (did it 3 different times 5 weeks apart!) Don't trust symptoms & whatnot, you still have a chance for a babygirl(:

Sweet mummy
October 15th, 2014, 01:06 PM
Luckyduck I'm so sorry things didn't go the way you wanted them to! I felt the exact same way with DS2 and my DH and I went through a small rough patch because he couldn't understand my feelings. That was two years ago and that little boy has filled a void I didn't even realised existed - he literally lights up a room and the best part is he has become DS1's best friend. Not many siblings end up being quite close but of all the ones I do know of are the same gender! The next couple weeks will be rough, don't get me wrong, but they will get better I promise and when you see DD1 with DD2 it will literally melt yours and DH's hearts. Maybe go out and buy DD2 a little outfit to cheer yourself up? Shopping always helps me :)

Thanks for the reassurance about ms symptoms! I really hope it is my DG I'm baking in my tum xx

I just traded my Acura TL in for a 2015 Honda Odyssey, against everything inside me but that car has everrrrything including a built in vacuum in the back. Honestly with 3 kids I just wanted something to make my life easier. The DVD player and automatic doors are amazing. I'm gonna rock it for 10 years and then buy a Porsche 😜 lol!

Hi ladies! I just scanned through a gazillion pages of fantastic news and wanted to pop in to say a HUGE congrats to all of you who are getting your precious swayed-for babies, and a big squishy HUGS for those who are struggling with gender disappointment.

I know I was originally in this group...then out due to mc...then back in for a half a second before a chemical. But I got another bfp yesterday, so my fingers are crossed this one is sticky! (Third time's a charm?) I'm honestly 50/50 about where gender might lie on this little one as I really did not sway at all. After 1 1/2 years on LE and months spent swaying, I was just over it. Lol! Finally having a girl would be amazing, but I love my little boys so much that I couldn't be mad at having another one.
