Do you ladies think its ok for me to add a little bit of brown sugar to my oats? They are so bland but I dont think were supposed to take in much sugar? Its about the only sugar I get in a day.

Ruby I think it's ok since-as you say-it's the only sugar, but I would also try honey (as much organic as possible) or stevia, as far as I know atomic doesn't think they sway pink in any way.

Mamato3,
Do you know anything about organica agave? It is a vegan product and comes from naturally from the agave plant. I wonder if this is also safe. I am not a big fan of maple syrup and i can barely do the stevia.

No, this is my first month tracking o. So far opks are negative. My cycles are pretty regular so I assume id o around cd 15

Midwest_Complex
August 17th, 2014, 10:38 AM
Rubygem- I would probably stay with the plan and start using preseed for the next BD attempts. Increase your calories and do everything you planned to do this month. Since you are close to O day, the sperm could stay alive so I would go ahead and do the sway this cycle.

I think the plan B pill can throw off women's cycles and that might make things harder for you in the end.

Well today we went to a dirt biking race and all I ate was a pulled pork sandwich and mcdonalds all day... lol so now im even more worried. I am just going to hope everything works out and af comes in a couple weeks. If my cycle is normal I wont ovulate for another six days, and he didnt completely finish inside elme, it was only a little bit of sperm. But then again that is enough. So frustrating!

I really don't know about agave, I live in Greece we don't have these products, but I think anything nutricious without chemical process would not harm your sway. But please ask atomic, maybe she knows...

I found info about agave nectar on this essay from atomic. It has usefull information about sweeteners in general.

http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gender-swaying-general-discussion/2038-sweetening-up-your-sway-pink-blue.html

AGAVE NECTAR

This is a new sweetener that we don't know a lot about yet, but it is quite low on the glycemic index meaning it doesn't cause the huge jump and crash in blood sugar that other sweeteners do. It's actually the best natural sweetener for blood sugar.

Agave nectar is slightly acidic so keep an eye on your pH if you choose to use it. Also, since it is on the new side, I would be wary about eating it during pregnancy or even in the 2WW.

Conclusion - agave nectar is better for blue.

Auzair,
I agree with Boysway, Stevia is very sweet. You only need one or less packet to sweeten your beverage. I personally think it sortof tastes like sweet and low. It takes time getting used to but definitely adaptable to. It took me a a bit to get my taste buds used to it. 😊

Ladies,
I went overboard with my diet. Probably gained (omg I am so ashamed right now, hiding in my closet) a wopping 50 pounds. I know I should have watched what I ate but I figured if I was going to do it I was going in 110% with the diet. The sodium killed me and I know atomic is very big on eating clean and healthy but after a while I stopped counting calories and just ate pretty much anything in the HE diet. This is why I am somewhat worried with my recent booboo of bd'ing unprotected without the intention of getting pregnant this month because I had started to loose what I gained. I am still on my dietary pills and I plan on taking them until my missed period. I can't afford to gain weight any more pre pregnancy weight because I know I would be gaining some during my pregnancy and i am high risk for high blood pressure and pre-clampsya 😢

Hi all - I'm actually loving the HE diet! I don't feel full all the time - I think it's because I mainly use my juices as my carbs. Have you tried that? If you have a lovely big steak and a glass of fresh orange juice and some avocado salad, you really don't feel stuffed. Or maybe I have a bigger appetite than you!

Hello..I was out for the weekend..I am taking following supplements: Folic Acid, Potassium-99mg, Vitamin D3, Prenatal, Evening Primrose oil , Fish Oil.
But i think lately my potassium intake increased to reach the 4000 mg as recommended...I think my body is not used to that much of potassium..just wondering whether i should still continue for few weeks...in the diet..
Also I am TTC october..but it seems based on this cycle I might ovulate last few days of September. That makes my nervous.
I think since I am taking all these pills, my cycle reduced from 32 days to 29 days.. Is that ok?

Hi BeckMom89
In my first practice cycles I also experienced the same thing. The supps definitely throw everything off. There is a thread out there about this and Atomic also suggests that some supps be dropped during the 2ww for this reason. She also recommends that some be dropped completely. Oh no! Midwest:eek:,
Don't be stressed, I just read on the pregnant mommies thread that there was a momma swaying boy who kinda had stopped swaying after taking a break and all she said that she did was use preseed and not that many attempts & she's having a Boy. Hang in there. I will share her sway once I find it. Hang in there :o

Well I have a question out of the subject of swaying but I am not too familiar with how it works but have any of you ladies considered doing the tarot reading (not sure what its called ) but you pay for a prediction reading pertaining to how many children and their genders you will have in the future. Im tempted but its a bit pricey. What do you gals think and have you done this or possibly considered doing it?;)

I have to admit, I have had multiple readings like this. They were kick started when a palm reader told me I was going to have twins.

Okay, you ready? It's a rather long list.

Danielle, she is from The Spiritual Shack but, for some reason I can't find her page. She said boy. Birth or conception (likely birth) in 18 months. Which would make it June from when I had the reading done.

Cheri22, boy and Feb birth/conception or find out.

Readings by Tracey (Facebook), Girl birth/conception/find out June

Readings by Rayne (Facebook), conception/birth/find out she said number 14 so it could be the date, weeks or months. If it was 14 months from the date of the reading, that means May.

Sandra Gibbs, I think I came across her through here or another forum when Google searching. Boy with Sept/Oct conception and birth month in July.

Vera Joy, Girl with birth/conception/find out in May/June.

DH & I are planning our sway attempt for this month. I'm nervous as well.

We have to start TTC this month for a few reasons. So I'm nervous, as we really only had a couple weeks to incorporate all we possibly could in the sway. I've changed my diet drastically, cut out diet soda, cut out low fat dairy products, added fruits, veggies, more protein, and am eating every two hours. Bananas, coconut water, lemon water, V8 (working on getting that down). I'm taking vitamin d, folic acid, prenatals. Coq10 and fish oil react with my thyroid meds....so I stayed away.

Next weekend is O weekend so I am starting my Robitussin Sunday night and have the pressed ready.

Crossing my fingers. I'm nervous but excited. DH and I really would be happy with either gender but we're making our best attempt.(in a short amount of time)

If anyone has any good stories of good sway outcomes in short amounts of time, I would love to hear them!

Blue dust to all! And congrats Midwest, hopefully that is your blue sticky.

hopefulblue well, you have started out well with the diet :) Your diet sounds a lot like mine. I found if I add ice ****s to the V8 juice it helps to water it down. I found the Robitussin made a big difference to my cm however, what I realised is you must take the exact dosage. So, my bottle states to take 20 mls every 4 hours when necessary so that's what I did. The first time I added it to my plan it wasn't as effective because I wasn't taking it enough. Good luck :D

Atomic recommends at least 6 weeks on diet and supps but I just recently saw a sway where she only took folic acid and made small changes to her diet for a few weeks and she is having a boy. I haven't seen many others with only a week or 2 of swaying. People have boys all the time without swaying and supps so you can still have a boy. If possible you could wait until next month, it might give you better odds! Good luck!

Thanks Jana! Oh wow - 5%. That doesn't sound like a lot...but it still worries me. I've asked Atomic what she thinks, too - but I was getting really worried waiting to hear back. Thank you so much for telling me that. It's not great to need to do something that actively sways pink - even if it is only by 5%. I'm working so hard on my sway. You really think the other things counteract it enough? It seems so risky. I don't have PCOS, I just have low estrogen from sttress and losing weight too fast after my first pregnancy. Ugh. I've been searching the site and I found atomic says this:

"Blue swayers – Feel good about your sway on Clomid! You still get to do most everything you want to do for a blue sway anyway. You do need to give up on timing and BSF, but honestly those things just get in the way of conception anyway. You’re better off without them!

Some blue swayers panic when they are told that they need Clomid because they hear that it sways pink. But just by using Preseed and Robi/Muci and eating an estrogen-friendly diet, you do so much to overcome that. Plenty of people conceive boys on Clomid!!"

But I still feel scared... I'll let you know! I wishI had your hormonal balance!

Jana - that's so sweet of you, I'm touched. I haven't heard from Atomic yet - I cannot blame her for needing a weekend break! Hopefully I'll hear from her today. It sounds like hostile CM is the main reason for clomid swaying pink. Because of my low estrogen I'm using a 1% estrogen cream internally (it's x10 stronger than estrace) so I'm hoping she'll say this will counteract the effect. But even then I'll be worried because it would obviously have been WAY better just to have benefits, not to be counteracting negative things.

How come you're thinking of postponing? All that eating and weight lifting you've been doing?! But I only have one baby so I have no idea how busy you must be with two. Sorry to hear your little girl has to have treatment for her eyes - that's no fun.

Absolutely. I don't have time to write out too many details but as I have gotten to know my mom better she was clearly living HE when she conceived my brothers & painfully obvious LE when she conceived my sister & I. She also had 2 oops babies....both girls!

I am currently trying clomid. I really want a boy but after almost 2 years of trying, 2 miscarriages, and turning 40 next year, I have to get this to work ASAP!

I tried clomid last year 100mg day 5-9 but it made me completely insane, no joke. I was seeing a doctor for infertility & she monitored me. However, my insurance only will cover TESTING, not TREATMENT. So this time I am trying 25mg day 5-9 on my own and just being careful. When my mom had babies in the 1970's and 1980's she monitored herself.

While using clomid I am still doing the HE & Atomic had some great suggestions for me while using clomid and HE together.

If I don't get a BFP this cycle, (and its really hard to tell early on because clomid s/e are miserable in the 2ww), then I will try one more round and then try Femara...if I can figure out where to get it. I think I found a pharmacy in New Zealand.

Anywho, don't think you are doomed if you use clomid. Nothing in baby making is completely one way or the other.

Good luck!

Wow Adia - we're in similar boats! I'm about to turn 39 so I feel like I can't hang around either. I've been prescribed progesterone for 10 days, followed by clomid 100 for days 2-6. I'm sorry to hear it made you insane?! What happened? You mean hormonal mood fluctuation? I'm interested to hear it can be taken in different doses. You're trying 25? I wonder if I could do that too - rather than 100. Hmmm.

I really wish you a huge amount of luck. Despite feeling and looking young, we're geriatric mama's and we need a little extra luck. Rooting for you.

Re not testing, I think the really important test is the scan right after you stop the clomid - so they can check egg quality/quantity and uterus thickness. If you could just have that one alone I bet it would be worthwhile.

About to blow anther small fortune on a scan over here, so I know how it feels.

Yes, you can definitely offset the pink effects of clomid from what atomic says - I also learnt this. Preseed+robi/muci seems to be the key. I'm also using ovestin cream because I've had low estrogen.

Thanks tm29. I need all the luck I can get.

You may already know this but the hardest part of taking clomid is the 2ww when the effects of the clomid kick in. When I tried 100mg for 5 days my rational thinking, mood, gi tract, etc were a mess. I am normally very easy going and sweet, but I was a b*tch! I am feeling the effects of 25mg now and its no picnic, but I am not having insane and bizarre thoughts and drastic mood swings like I was on 100mg. Reality is every medication affects everyone differently.
Keep us posted on your journey!

 Praying you don't need it, but if you do, consider a smaller dose than 100mg, maybe even 75.
I think 100mg is just brutal, but I am extremely sensitive to all meds.

I'm glad you were able to get your daughter in. When is her surgery scheduled for?

No updates from me as yet. Definitely possible symptoms though. Moody, cramps, sore bbs, getting hot followed closely by feeling light headed then queasy. I can feel my bp drop when these things happen. All symptoms for me. The moodiness is the worst though. I'm unpredictable. I honestly feel like I should be on meds.

It's just past 3 am, Thursday morning here. I'm planning on testing this Saturday. That's when I will be 12 dpo. The same as when I got the bfp with miss 4.

Hi Friends,
I want to join the group if possible! I swayed in winter 2013 and got pregnant the first try using HE- lots of ewcm, weight gain, and poof, pregnancy! Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage. We have been preventing until now, so this will be our first month when my current cycle ends!

I am doing HE- averaging 100g protein, 2200+ cal, and high nutrient with a rainbow of fruit/veg each day. I take multi, fish oil, and fa. I want to do green tea, but it always delays O for me, so I try to drink it after O.

DH eats in general like me. I am trying to weight lift 3x week, but I injured myself recently! GRR!

I will use pre-seed and try to get 3x right around fertile time. Any other recommendations? I drink OJ and V8 everyday and get about 3500+ potassium a day.

I felt really strongly in my sway when I was pg last time and really felt like it was a boy. I do think it improved my fertility since we got pregnant the first month. It's been a long wait to get to this point.

What is the current recommendation on sodium? That is the main one I struggle to get.

Hi SpicyTunaSushi - welcome! I think Atomic just says eat salt to taste and don't worry about sodium. She thinks excessive sodium sways pink. Tell me anyone if I've got that wrong.

Jana and Adia - I had my very expensive scan with the fertility specialist. I am so relieved I could dance. I have no fertility issues - 'nice, young ovaries' in fact. The best compliment ever. Ever! I have been so scared! He thinks my AF will probably come back in the next couple of months of its own accord, but he recommended I take clomid to kick-start it so I don't suffer symptoms of low oestrogen any longer. He said I should not ttc after the clomid because of the likelihood of multiples. Instead I should let clomid provoke bleeding and then ttc the next month, with a natural ovulation. I said 'but I'm really longing to be pregnant' and he laughed and agreed to scan me after the clomid to make sure I haven't produced too many eggs, which he thinks I will. But if I haven't, I can ttc then.

So, if Atomic agrees with this idea, then it looks like I am on for October!!!!! So, so happy. And if not October, then November!

Boysway - the suspense is killing me too....

Great to hear Princess of Pink and huge congrats on your news.

EWCM is the major issue. Do you know which supps/food helped you in particular?
I'm struggling to decide whether to take clomid ONLY to kick-start my cycle and then catch my natural ovulation the next month, or to take clomid to ttc right away. Part of me feels nervous that if I don't ttc right away I could end up needing to take clomid again anyway if my cycle doesn't ping back to life. But then the other part of me is concerned I haven't been on the diet/supps for long enough. I've done 5 weeks, so in any event I'd wait until I have 6 weeks under my belt (and spilling over my belt just a little) before I start the clomid.

Hmmm. Any thoughts? Hoping Atomic will have a strong view but it would be interesting to hear what you would all do in my situation. I'm 39 at the end of this month btw - so time not on my side...

Hello Everyone!
Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question :) Does anyone know of a opk brand similar to the ones at dollar store because from my previous cycle experience I found that they are wayyyyyy more sensitive than the Wondo opks. It bothers me that they do not get as dark which means my surge is probably happening sooner than I think

Tm I think maybe it was a combo of the high dose fosh oil, mucinex for 5 days before o, green tea, coconut water smoothies. And you have the option of adding preseed as well. Heaps of people have concieved boys on clomid. Atomic was aware i was using it and the only change to my plan was smep. I am 37 which was why my Dr wanted me to use the Clomid to start with.

Jana - this is my 4th sway but first time doing that GD way.

Thank you Princess of Pink. I'm feeling a lot more hopeful again. I will def add preseed AND do the robitussin. I don't yet understand how clomid works. Do you ovulate a few days after taking it? If so, do I take robitussin WHILE I'm on clomid or after I stop? Do I use preseed only on the actual attempts?
As for timing, I'm completely lost. I'm assuming you use opk's from the day you stop taking clomid? Ugh - so many questions! If you feel like answering any of them I'd be so grateful.

SpicyTunaSushi

I do get a lot of ewcm with green tea usually- but this time I dried up. It usually delays my O which drives me nuts. For me, I have been getting ewcm every month even while I wasn't on the HE diet- but I was taking fish oil and vitamins. I think the fish oil helps a lot as well as drinking loads of water. I have taken robitussin in the past during the actual sway. Eating well and getting good nutrients will help but for me, the key is fish oil.

HTH

I had almost no ewcm while conceiving DD1. But, ever since her, I have it regularly, but the most while doing the HE diet.

TM - My normal cycle was exactly 4 weeks in length. I would get AF on Sunday, 2 weeks later get a positive opk on saturday arvo or night.....then AF again 2 weeks later on Sunday. When taking Clomid I think I O'ed slightly earlier as I woke up saturday morning with a +. My Dr said to start testing at 10dpo....but that depends on how short your cycles are. If it makes you more comfortable just start after the last tablet. Use the SMEP....attempting every second day from cycle day 8 until positive opk...then 3 attempts...miss a day and attempt again...then in 2WW. Hope that makes sense.

Clomid works by blocking estrogen receptors at the hypothalamus, which is an important "hormonal control center" for the body. When this happens, the hypothalamus is stimulated to release follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH). These are the naturally occurring ovarian stimulants, which prompt ovulation in a normal cycle.

I felt fine when taking it...got hot flushes and felt a bit weird in the head but I took mine before bed which reduces the symptoms.

I need to get my head round all this. Thank you so much P of P - I wish I could just download your knowledge! CD8 means 8 days after stopping clomid? No, it can't. Oh I'm confused! Must now read up on timing. I'm familiar with all the diet/supps stuff - I just wasn't expecting to do this so soon!

After I stop clomid I use opk's every day and as of 8 days after clomid I start ttc every other day until I get a + when I ttc x3 that day then every other day again? Is that right?!

Sorry to ask such basic questions Princess of Pink!

The lower doses seems to be less dramatic but still effective. I read about several people on other forums who got prego using 25mg after 12+ months of trying as well.

Good to hear it worked for you PoP, I had no idea you were trying for so long. Isn't is bizarre after having several kids to not be able to get pregnant independently??

Its interesting that your clomid side effects weren't too bad. Mine were horrific on 100mg and I still felt the aftermath of 25mg this past week. But again, I am very sensitive to all meds.

Fingers crossed it worked for me. I am 8 dpo so we'll see what happens next week!

:hugs: yogi. I hope you're wrong for your sake.

I guess with me attempting next month it would make the readings I have had closer to accurate

Danielle, she is from The Spiritual Shack but, for some reason I can't find her page. She said boy. Birth or conception (likely birth) in 18 months. Which would make it June from when I had the reading done.

Cheri22, boy and Feb birth/conception or find out

Readings by Tracey (Facebook), Girl birth/conception/find out June

Readings by Rayne (Facebook), conception/birth/find out she said number 14 so it could be the date, weeks or months. If it was 14 months from the date of the reading, that means May.

Sandra Gibbs, I think I came across her through here or another forum when Google searching. Boy with Sept/Oct conception and birth month in July.

Vera Joy, Girl with birth/conception/find out in May/June.

I sure hope Sandra is right with hers. October will see me ovulating somewhere from the 1st to the 4th of October making me due anywhere from the 24th of June (Miss 9's due date) and 27th of June (Miss 9's actual birth date). If I am successful I wouldn't be surprised. October seems to be my 'lucky' month as I've had two babies born in June already (although my SIDS angel was actually due July 16th). If I do my usual and go late (as I have with my last two), bub could be born in July.

Btw, Danielle from The Spiritual shack is back on Facebook. She deactivated while she moved house.

September 13th, 2014, 04:53 PM
Business woman, do you have any idea of when you usually ovulate? You may have begun using your OPK's too late. For example, my O date often changes (from CD15-21) so I start using my OPK's from CD 14. I try to take them twice a day. Once around 10 am if possible and the other around 3pm. You are best to hold off from drinking fluids or going to the toilet for three hours before using an OPK.

Bugger yogi :( That's half of my dh's problem, the pressure. The only reason I'm thinking of telling dh is because he uses the Viagra now so the pressure to perform is off. He also needs 30 mins notice so he can take a tablet. Unfortunately, dh's problems are a little deeper then just the performance anxiety. If your dh doesn't have any bp issues, is that something he might consider just while you're TTC? Have you massage beforehand? I unfortunately know all too well how frustrating it is :(

Jana, we'll be trying again next month. Dh actually said we'll get more tries in next time which shocked me. Poor dh saw how upset I was. I tried not to be but the tears kept coming. Temp is still below the coverline this morning.

Boysway my dh has high bp, high cholesterol and diabetes so that has alot to do with it. The dh's m.d. already prescribed him Viagra but his insurance does not cover it so that is not an option. However he is taking these natural ones which help a lot. He does not have any issues of performance when we are not ttc but since two days ago its been terrible. He wants to soo bad and poor thing looses his concentration. I feel bad for him more than anything.

Jana, I did not know about nausea meds inside my last pregnancy. I was given the nausea meds they give cancer patients. The dh is who wanted to have another baby and because if his decision we started to ttc again. He really wants it desperately :(

Business woman- I usually get my first positive opk around 3pm. Try testing 3x per day next month. I went from a neg to a positive on cd 15 within 6 hours.

My period is due today..hasn't started yet. But I tested BFN.

Jana- are you going to keep any sway tactics in your daily life? I was thinking i will keep up with lemon slices in my water (because i seriously love it lol) & I like coconut water a lot too. I want to stay weight lifting, but I definitely can not eat all of this protein like I have been. I was 104lbs before I started the HE diet and I am now up to 116lbs. I feel bloated and huge, so I would like to loose this extra weight and just re-gain it later again
I'm going to stick with eating cereal or oatmeal for breakfast and eating more protein than normal. Other than that, I will continue my normal diet. I will also drink lemon water. I have gained 7 pounds and I don't like it one bit. I hope to go back down to my normal weight before I start back up. Also, continue with your multivitamin.
