2boys I know what you mean! I just want to eat a banana without feeling guilty!!
Junie- sorry you missed o! We can only plan so much, but life has a pace of its own. I keep telling myself that it's for the best. Good things come to those who wait <3

Junie- I just want to give you a big hug! I am so sorry this happened! I am praying for a miracle that there will be some sperm hanging out for you to get a BFP. Then your DH can boast about having super sperm!
2boys- sounds promising! I am hoping that AF stays away!
Everyone else waiting to test, I hope you get your much deserved BFPs! That would just make my day [emoji4]!

Taytum, after o the cm will be dry or sticky. Since having dd, a sore chest is my #1 symptom for knowing when I'm in the 2ww. How is your sway going? I'm also swaying blue. I've been on the diet for so long now, I'm actually starting to enjoy some foods I once thought were yucky, lol.
I'm hoping that the sticky CM is a sign of O, or just my cycle restarting itself. But, the past few cycles I've at least had psuedo period symptoms (cramps, sore bb, cravings, etc.) but with no period. Aside from sore bb and some right ovary pain yesterday, nothing else. It's a mystery. And I actually already had a pretty boy friendly diet! I love tomatoes, meat, salt, avocado, bananas, potatoes etc. So I figured I was pretty boy friendly to begin with. My biggest probably was eating MORE! haha. Excited to see crosshairs for you though!! FX for you in the 2WW!
2boys - good luck! I really hope it's BFN and not AF!! All fingers and toes crossed!

2boys- I'm so excited for you to test soon! :) We BD on Th and Fr night before he left so it is technically possible at this point but if I don't O for a full day not at all possible.
Grace- So true about not being able to plan this. I'm trying to just accept it all and be gracious and patient but today it wasn't really happening.

I MIGHT tomorrow. I did an IC this morning- BFN. I am scared to use a pricey one and the urge to poas was satisfied with the cheapie!
I am not feeling anything today. I had some strong menstrual like cramps yesterday and was sure I was bleeding but nope. 4-5 days til AF.

I am sorry 2boys! I am glad you are able to find peace with the process. I find it truly helps and makes me less anxious/depressed. I have been there now for the last two cycles. I hope it doesn't take you long to conceive again. I wouldn't wish my lot on anybody [emoji6]! FX next cycle is it for you, or this one. I'm assuming you haven't gotten any spotting/bleeding yet, right? You may not be out yet!

I wonder if I should wait to test? I have had so much cramping today that I spent half the day in the bathroom looking for AF! No show. I just feel like if it is implantation, there is no way Hcg will be measurable in my urine by tomorrow. I am only 8-9dpo. Should I or shouldn't I?? I know only I can decide that, but insight helps!

Mars - We're nearly cycle buddies! My af is due on the 18th. And if you remember, statistics show you're more likely to get a bfp if you're my cycle buddy! :-)
2boys - That sounds promising! I think it was on countdowntopregnancy.com where they explain it takes 48 hours after implantation to be detected by a normal test (measuring at 20 I think). So the countdown is on! Try 48 hours after your cramping.

I'm so excited to see everyone getting closer to testing!
2boys - I really hope the cramps are good news for you! With AF still a few days away that would be fantastic!!
I've been having this super creamy CM the past few days. Yesterday I even wondered if I was actually O-Ing, but remembered that it's creamy and not EWCM so it couldn't be that. Then today my temp went above 98.0, which it's never done unless I drank night before. So u thought maybe yesterday was O, but FF put crosshairs back on when I thought I O'ed earlier in the cycle. What the heck!? So now it says I'm 10dpo.

Taytum - Implantation dip?!
TaytumJ
February 12th, 2015, 09:53 AM
Sage: That's what I was thinking too?? Maybe the first dip was estrogen and second was implementation?
I'm actually...scared/anxious/nervous? I'll probably test out of curiosity sake on Saturday (which I think would be 12DPO). So I'm trying to be excited and happy, but I had JUST started swaying like right after O. I have been taking a prenatal since October, always eat breakfast in the morning (usually Honey Nut Cherrios) and was eating more veggies (green beans mostly ha), and had pork almost every night with DH, along with a banana or some sort of fruit for snacks/lunch and almonds for snacks, but DH was sick the week before leading up to it so we only DTD twice before that and I had lost weight after ending BC in October after my hormones leveled out.
I know that either way we'll be happy with the first, I was just hoping to sway a little bit more the next month or so! Positive thoughts! Although since I haven't had a period since October so I'm not even sure when AF would arrive if she is going to! :)

@2Boys - have you had any other symptoms? I should be about 10DPO (apparently I just found this out today, ha), but aside from the really creamy CM, I don't have really any other symptoms. I feel a little bloated, but my bb aren't really sore, and not nauseous or anything like that either. I have been kind of forgetful lately, but that could just be because this was a very crazy week at work.

Congrats, 2boys, always very exciting for the mom-to-be and encouraging for everyone TTC!
AF is due the 20th, but I'm punishing myself and waiting an extra two days because I've wasted so much $$ on P tests
This is sixth attempt. I'm following maidentomother's advice and dropping exercise because I just can't find the strength/willpower to do it every day. Even though a BFP this month would put (hopefully pink!) baby in same birthday month as brother, I'm really hoping for it. The LE diet is killing me! And I'm not great at sticking to it religiously. Not to mention, at 39, every month counts. First half of cycle flies in and then 2ww takes forever!

Junie, you should definitely read all 6 books bc the last book is one of the best and it really ties up all the loose ends and explains everything. Without the 6th book, the series isn't a masterpiece. I personally can only read one book at once (but I have OCD), it's amazing to me that you read multiple! But I do the same thing in terms of reading several books in a row in the same genre/going through phases. Eventually though I will always crave a vampire book. Lately I've been on a dystopian post apocalyptic YA kick, but I'm getting over it now I think.
I haven't heard of Howl's Moving Castle. I have heard of DWJ but have never read her stuff. But based on your rec and the wiki entry I think I'd like her work, so thank you for the suggestion!
The reviews on Divergent are somewhat mediocre and mention many of the same issues you did. So I am not super psyched to read it, but I will bc there's a movie coming. That's the only reason I read Beautiful Creatures.
Taytum, based on the reviews of Fallen (I thought you maybe meant Lauren Kate) I don't think it's for me. Too Twilighty. I had an awesome english teacher in middle school, she is literally my only teacher from before high school that I remember clearly and fondly. I'm sure you're positively impacting many young lives. I wonder if you just Oed on CD34? Oh and I am like you, if I drink even half a glass of wine it raises my temp the next day dramatically.
sage, capicitate means the sperm lose/weaken their protective head sheaths: Capacitation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitation)
I also think you Oed on CD14. How reliable is CD13's temp? Either way we are only a day apart. :) Thank you for the Wind Boy rec, that looks right up my alley!
I kinda wonder if I Oed a day later. When I first input my temp on CD23, I misread my thermometer. Then when I washed it later I realized it was .2 higher. I did sleep restlessly the night before though, and I still had so much EWCM on CD23 and even CD24. I just don't know what to think! My O pain was worst on CD22 in the am, but I had some on CD23 too.

Mars, I won't be testing until I'm very late either (15-16DPO). And I'm also really struggling with the diet at this point and craving both meat and snacks. I gained 1-2kg right after O so now I'm trying to be strict again and it's so hard. I've been dieting for a year!
blueeyedguys, I hope your intuition is right and you're pregnant. You definitely still have time.
EJ, thank you so much for your kind words! I really appreciate them. And yes I was trying to be funny. My plumber IS super hot. ;) Your obgyn sounds awesome, and big props for having a VBAC. I assume you will try for a second one? Why did you need one with your first?
2boys, I've also been craving oats. I drink banana flavoured coconut water that is delish. You can totally have a banana on the LE...but I see you're pregnant now, YAY! Huge congrats! This thread really needed a BFP and you so deserved one. :) :) :)
Taytum, you can O with just creamy CM. I see it all the time. If you were having a lot of CM, regardless of type, you may well have been Oing. I really hope your temp stays up! Have you been BDing lately?
Uschi, sounds like you are cycle buddies with sage and me. :)

Thank you! I hope you don't O until DH returns. It's possible I think, as no temp rise into post O range yet plus you've not Oed right away after positive OPKs in the past.

February 12th, 2015, 09:40 PM
Maiden - absolutely, Fallen definitely was YA. I read the first one only to see what the students were reading, but I'm definitely not finishing the series haha. I didn't really like the Divergent series either (although Theo James in the movie is smoking! [emoji7]). The only real dystopian YA books I enjoyed were Hunger Games and The Giver. I read Maze Runner too, which wasn't too bad. Have you tried the Uglies series? I'm more of a realistic fiction reader. Although I have really enjoyed Game of Thrones series! I'm just confused on the O-ing. Back when I originally thought I O'ed I had intense ovary cramps and watery cm. A few days ago just a twinge or so, nothing too terrible? And lots of creamy/lotiony cm. We BD'ed twice this weekend and then I thought about it last night but we didn't get home until late. Tonight we did though and it was kind of painful which made me think cervix was low? I'd almost like to just get a period and start over, ha.
I've never had to test before, but kudos to all of you waiting to test! I'm sure that takes serious will power!!

So much to catch up on here! How wonderful for you 2Boys :) :) I love a good bfp pic. So I'm in the dreaded 2ww. We had our attempt Monday, and waiting is so hard. I forget how when you're at this naturally it really is 2 weeks as opposed to IVF I got my BFP at 4 days post. It feels like it's going to be a long week. I'm hopeful though, and it's only our first month so my expectations are pretty level-headed (so I say....:)) can't wait to see lots more BFPs!

I had a high temp today but was drinking last night so don't necessarily trust it. I'll see what it looks like tomorrow. The CH FF give me would suck for timing but I'm not convinced yet.
Vegmom- Wouldn't it be great if we only had to wait 4 days?!!

Next week will be a fun week for testing!! Fingers crossed for everyone!
FF updated my crosshairs to CD34. But my other app is giving me crosshairs at at CD26. It's just the weird CM that is throwing me off? So lotion-y on CD34 and leading up to it, with only a little bit of right ovary pain (which could have even been implementation if it was CD26?). Where on CD26 it was definitely ovulation cramps and watery CM. Wish I would have stuck to OPKs. But, was just so frustrated.
Today I have the weirdest pain from my right side, like shooting downward. And I had a really weird dream last night about a male co-worker being pregnant and we were all at a petting zoo. Creepy. I do have an OBGYN appt next week though, so regardless, hopefully some answers soon!

Getting excited for you ladies!
Junie- I don't think you have Oed yet. FX that your eggie is waiting for DH!!!
AFM- WTH with my temps? They are never this high at this point in my cycle! Plus I got a positive opk on a wondfo and a smiley in a CBD! I'm at CD8! I did have BAD O pains yesterday, which means I usually O 2-3 days later. My opks are in line with that but at CD8?! I have gotten strict on the diet again and have been doing a detox so maybe that with acupuncture is affecting things. Who knows though, when swaying and ttcing it seems everything goes out the window! We will definitely BD tonight and hope for the best.

Sage- I added The Wind Boy to my goodreads list- it sounds like one I would enjoy! I'll also be testing on the 18th just in case I got lucky and did O then.
Taytum- If you are 12DPO there are good chances that cheapie will pick it up with first morning urine- although every woman is different. So far I've gotten my first (very faint) BFPs on cheapies at 10DPO for the different pregnancies.
XX- That is great- that means that your body is working- I'm excited for you!
I know my chances are now about 1% to get pregnant with our timing but I'll start testing on the 18th which would be 10DPO if I was lucky and O'd earlier than FF says just to keep myself from getting my hopes up too high since my LP is normally quite long. I just hate the fact that if my DH had been in town our timing would have been great. What a lost opportunity.

Wow 2boys congrats! I'm glad it happened again so quickly for you, that's amazing!
I started a chart this month on fertility friend. How do I get it connected to this site like so many of you have(I'm tech challenged)? I'd like you gals to give me your opinion on how it looks and when you think I O'd. . .
Sure hope there are more BFPs this month. I test at the very end of the month. I'll actually be on vacation so I'm thinking/hoping that takes my mind off of it. Don't think I'll take any tests just tampons just in case.
I was feeling good around O but now that hormones have shifted and it's all a waiting game I'm not so confident. I am so happy for everyone here and around me falling pregnant but I get sad it's not me. I really don't know how I'll feel if it doesn't happen this month.
Besides all that I'll update you. I had a follicle scan on Wednesday at 8am. It showed that my left ovary will release an egg this month. I had 2 follicles measuring 19+mm and 21+mm. My Ob was happy with that but told me he hopes I don't release both since twin VBAC makes it complicated. I told him I just want ONE and all I'm hoping is that one works out. I felt a little like he led me to think I'll get pregnant this month.
Later Wednesday evening I had very intense and painful O pains in my left side. Even stepping on my left foot and sex was painful since the whole left side of my abdomen was involved. The next morning I had a significant temp spike, and again this morning.
My girl sway is pretty weak at the time. The only thing I have going for me is weight/calorie intake, Femara, bfing. I had acupuncture tues morning and we BD tues evening as well as wed.
I can't help but analyze it all. Both times I laid flat for 10 min after sex. When I went to bathroom after I had some semen come out and that is stressing me for some reason.
I feel like I did A LOT to ensure pregnancy and that's why I'm nervous about it not working again this time:(
Sorry to vent gals. Fx it works out.

Emilee- Those follicles sound so good! I can only imagine how sad and frustrated you must be. I forgot how awful this whole process can be. On Fertility Friend there is a heading called "share" and then create/preview homepage. If you do that then you'll get a direct link to your page and we can all see whatever you want us to see (on the homepage you can choose to exclude certain information which is on your chart).
I hope you have a fabulous vacation and get a BFP at the end of it!!

February 13th, 2015, 03:30 PM
Taytum, I'm glad to hear you agree about Fallen. I LOVE Game of Thrones, they are amongst my all time faves. I haven't heard of Uglies. What genre/author?
Looking at your chart I can definitely see both possibilities; either you've just Oed, or you Oed back on your earlier assigned O date and you're pregnant with a triphasic chart. Either is good since you BDed enough to cover recent O. I'm very curious to know which scenario is the case! I look forward to you testing, fx for a BFP.
Btw, it is totally normal for fertility signs and symptoms to be confusing, especially coming off BC. Even with as long as I've been charting, my body frequently throws me off.
VegMom, how many DPO are you?
Junie, how is your sick boy? I hope he is feeling better.
sage, you've laid out next week's testing nicely! AF is actually due for me around the 19th, so if I'm not pregnant I will very likely know then. I think that capacitation might occur partly via inter-sperm communication, so how many sperm/BD attempts probably has an effect. Also, CM and seminal volume definitely affect capacitation, so there may be a swaying connection. It hadn't even occurred to me that there might be! I don't think capacitation directly affects gender though.
XX, go catch that egg!
EJ, your follicle scan, symptoms and temps all sound great. And I think your sway is actually quite solid - I would definitely not call it weak. Enjoy your vacation! Where are you going?
As for me - starting an hour ago I've been having what feels like SEVERE O pain on my right ovary. It's so painful I can't move! I think I'm having some uterine cramping, too. And quite a lot of CM the past couple days. I think I must have a cyst again, especially considering the recent EWCM after O. Last night and tonight I've been feeling extra hot, feverish. I'm trying so hard not to read too much into these things. It's difficult!

Hey Ladies, So 10dpo and I'm getting the aches on my left which seems to be a AF sign but I'm also feeling quite calm which is odd as I've noticed the week leading up to AF I am very cranky and have a bad temper! Last night I also noticed my boobs were so sore and have continued to be sore today. Could be something or nothing...will know in a weeks time :) AF is due in 4 days.

Thank you all for your encouraging words and good thoughts. Sorry I'm such a downer. I'm so sick of it not happening. Makes me feel broken. Time will tell.
Maiden we are visiting my in-laws in Arizona State. We have some fun plans and I hope it keeps me distracted and makes the time pass quickly. If nothing else at least it will be warm and sunny!
Mars it does sound good for you. Sore boobs/nipples were my biggest indicator with my 2nd and what I look out for end of each cycle.
I'm going to take a break from the site for a bit. I'll be back in a couple weeks. Best of luck to you all. I hope you get BFPs soon!!! Thank you all!

2boys - Congrats!!! That's amazing that you just knew. Have you had that happen before? H&H 9 months! Oh and what cheapie did you use that showed something at 10dpo? I'm guessing you thought you saw something so that's when you got out the frer?
mommymachine - Your chart looks like af is coming? :-(
Hooray, lots of cycle buddies this month! Remember, I'm a lucky one to cycle with. ;-)
I'm planning to test on the 18th if my temps look good. So then we've got Mars on the 19th, uschi on the 20th, and then Maiden on the 21st. It's going to be a fun week!
I used a Wondfo cheapie. And FMU, I think that made all the difference.

Maiden - I believe Scott Westfield is something along the lines of the author? It's another YA dystopian sci-fi. I love Game of Thrones because I never know what will happen! They kill EVERYONE! Haha. I'm hoping to get caught up enough to start the new series on TV this spring.
I'm going to test once I get out of bed today. If it's a BFN then I'll just wait either for AF or my doc appt next Friday for some answers. I need to stop reading into things, especially as this is my first time Oing. These could all be normal signs! At least I clearly ovulated on my own this time around! Small victory! [emoji4]
Hopefully this is your cycle, Maiden! Sounds promising! I had severe cramps earlier in my cycle and a cyst was detected on my last u/s so I can definitely relate to your pain!
Mars - I can't wait for you to test! Like 2boys said, sometimes you just know - maybe the calm is because your body just knows you are! FX!
EmileeJane: I can imagine your frustration. I hope that maybe the warm weather, relaxation and sunshine will be just the ticket for your next cycle. Maybe the vacation will do wonders for you and you will be able to catch an egg next time! Hope you come back soon and update everyone! Have a great vacation!
Edit: BFN this morning. I feel like if it was O earlier in the cycle with rising temps it would be BFP at 12dpo. So, I'm going to go with second temp rise and chart from there. Still just happy I O'ed, even if AF comes!

Blue- I'm very sorry :( I don't know the back story with your husband flip/flopping but I'm firmly of the mind that if you say it is OK then you should be able to keep trying until *both* people feel otherwise. Setting time limits is stressful and unfair, a baby will always be a blessing. I hope you get another chance!

TaytumJ- you're not out until AF shows! I would test again when you expect AF to show. FX and [emoji120]for you!
EmilieeJane- I know how hard it is to keep trying. I am on cycle 8 and have been on some version of the LE diet for almost one year (beginning of next month to be exact)! Be kind to yourself a break from here and a vacation sounds lovely! I believe you WILL get your much deserved BFP!
Blueeyedguys- I am so sorry AF came [emoji22]. Have a cheat day (That's what I do) and be kind to yourself. It is so hard getting BFN after BFN. Plus your DH is causing stress by flip flopping. They can't have it both ways! I hope your DH comes around and sees how much this means for you. I just want to give you a hug [emoji8]!
Junie- when should AF come? I hope you either get to attempt again with delayed O this cycle or get a surprise BFP!
Vegmom- you should be getting ready to test soon, if I remember correctly! I can't wait!!

EJ, never feel bad for venting here. That's the purpose of this thread. We understand. I think it's impossible to NOT feel down after TTCing for a while. I would love to be in Phoenix right now, just to be out of the cold grey.
Taytum, considering the BFN today I do think you Oed more recently. Which means you've had more time to sway. :) I looked up Uglies on GR and it is on my to-read list. I'll bump it up, thanks!
blueeyedguys, I am sorry AF came and REALLY sorry DH is being difficult. Men do not get our biological urgency at all.

Hi ladies! I'm new and jumping in :)
I am a regular cycle person but this week my period is a week late with BFNs. I tested to make sure...nothing. I travelled and had a cold so I didn't temp or do OPKs this month. So now I have to pay for it and sit around wondering what is up. Awesome :(

I'm so excited for you to test! When do you think you will?

I started to feel round ligament pain and breast tenderness at this point so I new I was pregnant. I finally got a BFP at 21DPO at CD32!

That's so strange XXforHubby! Crazy how stuff works out. I will start temping and doing OPKs and occasional HPTs until AF comes, because now I'm just flat out curious about what's going on. I've had a teeny bit of spotting and only when I check CM, and that's it. A definite mystery!
No big deal if there isn't a BFP this month, we weren't really planning on starting to try until next month anyway. And we're real casual about it through April because we go on vacation then. Might be easier not to be pregnant and flying cross country with a 1 year old. But we're both starting to get the baby fever so we're happy either way.

So no AF and she could be here between today and Wednesday. I'm 11dpo and so far I'm still feeling very calm, I've also had aching on my left side down low but I've had this every month. Earlier today I felt like AF had arrived but nothing. I've got a couple IC tests.... Are they any good to use from 12 dpo?

Mars- Yes my IC work fine starting on 10DPO they are just normally very very faint in the beginning and take a few days to really darken up. Although of course it also depends how fast the HCG rises in your body.

Five babies and XX, I can only imagine how stressful and upsetting this is for both of you. I haven't even begun to actively try, but it is stressful. Sometimes I think about stopping temping and trying like the 99% of my friends who seem to get pregnant super quickly without any OPKs, bbt charts, understanding CM, etc. I hope you guys do some positive things for yourselves (a massage maybe?) and I wish you both all the luck in the world!
That's crazy XX that you got a BFN at 12dpo but went on to be pregnant! Aside from the sharp pain on/off in my uterus I don't seem to have any other symptoms (but I don't know if I'm 12dpo or 4 haha). I have an obgyn appt on the 20th so I'll probably just ask them to do a blood test either way. And thanks for the blue dust! [emoji170]

Thanks ladies. Love you all. It's not fun or exciting anymore. I'm not even swaying. Could not care less what gender baby would be....just want a baby! Actually we want 2 more but that looks like a pipe dream now.
So this is way too much TMI but I am on CD 4, AF has lightened up tremendously, I had a migraine yesterday, some EWCM the day before and I woke up just a bit ago with what I assumed was cramps but I realized that it is very similar to O pain. This same thing happened the last 2 months but I ignored it and assumed it was just really intense and pin pointed cramping. Is this even possible?? I have always O'd on cd18-20....like all of my life.
So I know that this is so gross but we dtd this AM just in case! Poor DH really took one for the team....we do NOT dtd during AF, never in 16 years of marriage. We are pretty adventurous but that was never an option for me. Lol.
Anyways, anyone ever hear of O day changing on someone? I know my sister O's around CD 5-7 but it just seems so soon. Maybe I'm grabbing at straws here.....

5babies - if when people conceive twins in a cycle where they ovulate twice a few days apart, I wonder if you possibly just had a cycle with a second O during AF that carried over and was really late?
AF is here for me, just turned out to be a random long cycle. Now I can kick it into gear and give swaying a shot in 2 weeks!

1DD, I think you might be gearing up to O now, based on those couple low recent temps and EWCM. I would BD if you want to try this cycle! Welcome to the thread btw. Nice to see more FFers here. :)
Taytum, thank you, I am a little excited myself. My temp went up today, too. My plan is to hold off testing until 15DPO, though if I'm not pregnant AF could arrive any day, as I've had several 9 day LPs recently. Although usually my temps aren't going up still when that happens. Your chart looks great, I see you had a nice temp rise too.
fivebabies, I am SO sorry. I also conceived very quickly ptior to swaying so I know a bit of what you're feeling. But 14 cycles is a REALLY long time. Maybe you just need a break? Is HT an option for you?
I have always had an erratic O timing and LP, even though my cycle length is regular. I most often O around CD17-18, but I have Oed as early as CD5 (and conceived from it). So it's definitely possible and I'm so glad you attempted. I actually like BD during AF outside the first day of cramping, but my AF is light and short. None of the men I've dated/my late DH have minded, either. Or so they say! Anyway fx this cycle does the trick for you.
Mars, I think it's totally worth testing with ICs at 10DPO+. When is AF due for you?
Queen, thank you! I was very happy to see a temp rise. Though I'm trying not to be overly optimistic.
XX, what a beautiful temp rise!
eleena, welcome to the TWW. I hope you and XX both caught the egg.
I am reading a very compelling series (Frost Chronicles, available on Kindle Unlimited), it's like a YA cross between Stargate and Game of Thrones, both of which I love. I identify very strongly with the heroine, too. It's helping pass the time very nicely!

Maiden~ The thing is that in not even swaying. I've only swayed once (last baby) . I'm just not getting pregnant. But like I said, if it doesn't happen on its own then it's not meant to be. No HT for me of any kind. Just don't believe in it. I'll stop trying (and avoid) after this cycle. If I still feel the need for a baby in November then I'll think about it. But can't imagine anything with be any different then.
Hope some of get your bfp's soon!

I am happy that my cycles have returned to my "old" normal and take it as a sign that we will get a BFP soon.

Hi Blueeyed, I feel your pain about DH. I'm in the same boat. Not only is there stress involved in TTC (esp. at my age), but there's the added pressure of getting BFP before, like you said, DH throws in the towel for good. He would really love a DD as much as me, but he goes back and forth because he is 46 and just doesn't know if he can manage three little ones. We don't have the energy we used to. I just can't let it go only due to age. YOLO and I would always regret not trying. I think deep-down he feels the same way but when the boys act up, he can only see short-term. Hang in there and you're not alone!

Hi fivebabies,
Yes! It seems to add to the discouragement when the first babes were conceived so easily! DH just had to look at me funny and I conceived four times in a row. Now we're on sixth attempt ( I know, not as long as you! I'm so sorry), and instead of realizing this is normal, I wonder what might be wrong.

Mars, I see it, and I never see squinters!!! Praying you get a good line tomorrow with fmu! :-)
fivebabies, you've been trying so long, it's worth a chance! FX things go differently this cycle! Just curious, how old are you? You can give a range if you prefer, I'm just wondering how close you might be to menopause.
Maiden, your chat looks so great!!! Even if this isn't it, I think you can be excited your hormones are so together!
uschi, we also conceived super easily the first two times and are shocked it's taking so long this time. We have no idea why. I'm so much healthier now, I was battling Lyme before but this time I was preparing 6 months ahead of ttc. (And I ignore the 50 Shades stuff -- no interest to me and repulsive.)
Please pray for me that my temp goes up tomorrow and today was an implantation dip! It's unusual for me (dip was much later in the cycle with dd) and I just don't know what to make of it.

fivebabies, I didn't realize you weren't swaying. That would absolutely make me feel more concerned about how long it's taking to conceive. I am so sorry! I also understand about HT. I have seriously considered it but ICSI goes against my personal beliefs (among other things about IVF which unsettle me) and apparently no reputable clinics that do GS allow natural fertilization. If you were younger, would you want even more kids? Or is 6 your limit? I hope you don't mind me asking, but I wanted a lot of kids most of my life, but now I don't feel I have time for as many as I would like ideally.
Junie, thank you and I'm so excited that you and XX will be reading Frost along with me! I started the series yesterday and am nearing the end of the 3rd book. I don't read summaries bc I'm a spoilerphobe, so I don't even know what secret you're referring to. But I'll go check. Btw, I know FF gave you CHs but looking at past temps, you are not yet into your post O range, so I wonder if maybe O is still coming? Have you had any fertile CM recently? I also think it's possible you just Oed late on CD31 or early on CD32 depending on what your next few temps do...and since you got an attempt in, that would mean much better timing. I really hope that's the case.
XX, thanks and please let me know how you like Frost. I know you're okay with being done, but I feel SUPER strongly that there is another baby awaiting you. I just know it will happen for you. If only I knew when!
uschi, you are so right about the community here. It is just amazing and unlike any other forum, and I've been on many. GD has by far the least drama and most supportive atmosphere. It's also cool that it's all adult women at least mid 20s or older, and small but not too small number of active regulars which make for such a tight knit feeling.
How old are you, btw?
Re: the horrible dreck that is 50 shades...I hope that your complaints are about the bad writing/weak heroine/abusive hero and not about true, consensual, honest BDSM (which the book claims to be about but is in fact an utter mockery of)? Bc as you may be able to tell by my avatar, I am into BDSM and it can be wonderful. Violence and power play during sex done in the right way are not mysogynistic or abusive, in fact they csn be empowering and freeing. I hope that makes sense...I can assure you that pretty much everyone in the BDSM community/lifestyle finds 50 Shades abhorrent snd is angry about how wrongly/badly/abusively BDSM is portrayed in it. Especially as it has been so widely read and for many women is their first foray into that world.
Mars, I totally see a what seems to be a very faint line, with a hint of pink! Yay, how exciting! Can I ask how you determined O? Just by OPMs? Also what brand ICs are those tests and how sensitive do they claim to be? I can't wait to see your FRER tomorrow! Eeee!
blueeyed, were you full on swaying before and got fed up swaying and TTC so long or have you always had a relaxed approach?
sage, thank you and for sure there is no doubt about my hormones! My back is enough of a problem, so I am thankful that I am very healthy in most other regards. I was just thinking that your temp drop could be implantation, though I prefer to call it a secondary estrogen surge. Regardless it's a good sign! Will you test early this month? Fx for a big temp rise tomorrow for you.

I definitely just hated the writing in 50 Shades. It was so...lame? I felt like none of the characters were well created and she just drove me nuts.
I've had a lot of watery CM tonight. I laughed and thought I either A) pee'd my pants or B) AF was coming. Rushed to check and just very watery/clear CM. DH and I DTD today and I had some spotting after? Back is starting to ache now, but that does happen around AF. So I guess time will tell in the next few days! I'm not sure when AF Is suppose to come though, so that's a guessing game as well.

We are going to have another attempt tonight. I noticed a ton of EWCM tonight that was brownish-pinkish. I normally avoid BDing when this happens thinking it's coming from my cervix. Maybe it's the egg being released. Anyway, giving it another go. Eventually either I'll get a BFP or give up. We will see which comes first [emoji6]. A year on the LE diet is about enough already! Although we are entering Lent (I'm catholic) and fasting is a great pink sway tactic. I'll keep trying and evaluate come Easter. That will be 2 more cycles- 10 cycles in total. Yeash!

Taytum, omg yes! The writing is just terrible in every way. While I haven't read the book, everything I've heard, the many reviews snd several excerpts all indicated to me that there is absolutely NOTHING worthwhile about the book, with every aspect severely lacking. Plus terrible editing which is a huge pet peeve of mine since I did it professionally for years. It would probably get 1 star from me. It is truly shocking to me that the book was ever published let alone so freaking popular. Just incomprehensible, and it further destroys my low opinion of mankind in general.
I had 2 days of just barely EWCM but more WCM around the same DPO this month. I usually never get EWCM after O, and the first time it happened a couple months ago I had 2 cysts. But I had way less this cycle for fewer days and closer to W, so I'm hoping it's not just a cyst this time.
fivebabies, do you have long cycles? I know you tend to O late, right?

I just have to say I read the books and saw the movie :D I think the writing is poor but I've read worse. I feel it is supposed to be fantasy like many other books I read. I didn't look at it as an introduction into the real life BDSM scene and it bothers me a bit when people try to make it seem like an awful thing. I feel the argument is similar to violent video games (which I also enjoy) you can enjoy these things and understand that they are pure fantasy and not actually think stuff like that is OK. Like of course in real life Christian would probably be in jail and I would consider him a complete creep but the books are fiction and I enjoyed them as such. I have to say the fact that they both enjoy the sex so much is something which I consider very positive and is probably one of the aspects that many of it's fans enjoy (I'm actually not a fan of the books as I just don't think they are very good, but I still found them entertaining).I think deciding what type of fiction is "OK" for people to enjoy and still consider themselves a feminist is a very slippery slope. I'm definitely a feminist and have absolutely no problem with the fact that I enjoy a quite tame kinky book every once in awhile. Plus I have read "worse" in some of my historical romances ;)
Taytum- I also thought the writing was very cheesy. "Laters baby"- I mean really no one says that. Although that might just be my inner goddess talking ;)
Sage- I'm hoping your temp goes back up today!!
XX- I think it is smart to get another attempt in- you just never know!
Maiden- I'm so excited to see your temps today, I really think this could be your cycle! I haven't had any fertile CM but I've barely had any CM this whole cycle. So far I've normally "felt" pregnant ahead of the test so I am just going to keep temping and see how things progress. I do think I probably O'd but I'm not 100% sure. I have a different thermometer then I used to have and that could be leading to the temp difference.

Maiden, I decided I wasn't going to change my diet because with dh flip flopping so much, it would have been too hard to stick with it never knowing if all that work was even worth bothering with. Plus, with the way we eat & shop, it would have been really hard to manage.
I'm also still nursing my youngest, so hopefully that helps a bit. Didn't seem to make much difference with the last two, but that's all I had going for me.
I did plan on exercising & we actually bought a treadmill (not for that reason, but why not use it), but we only got it about a week before O & I fell & hurt myself too badly to use it the first few days we had it. I need to get going on that, but my knee has been hurting again.
I really hope everyone else gets a BFP this cycle!
AF is tapering off, so dh & I are in negotiations.

Thanks for all the blue dust and good vibes -- temp went up a little! I was too nervous to test. If implantation was yesterday and I wait until tomorrow, that'll give me the 48 hours and another high temp. I keep telling myself it doesn't matter how soon I know, it'll be there if it's going to be there. How did I make it 9 months last time not finding out gender? I can wait a couple of days. BTW, XX, the way you were talking about Goldie, well my "hope you're in there" to talk to is "Oro" (= gold in Spanish), lol.
fivebabies - I think 35 is when they say fertility really starts to drop and you should seek help after 6 months of ttc. Wow, you have pcos and you managed to have 5?! That's really good isn't it? My cousin has that and had lots of trouble although she made it to 3 with help (says they're done now), and they were all small and needed close monitoring in pregnancy. She might have some other problems, too, but I know she said it was hard ttc because she didn't have regular cycles, and she had to have a cyst or something removed in order to have the first baby.
maiden - *hugs* Your lp this time does look much more even, things are improving and you'll catch that egg soon! I've been getting ewcm 2 days before af since ttc this time. I don't remember having it happen before I had dd.
Mars - What time zone are you in? I really want to see your test, but I'm guessing your asleep right now. Hope you wake up to a great day!

Maiden - I'm so sorry about AF. :( I was so bummed to wake up and see your new chart. BUT, a new chart is always a fresh start, and I love that you're already looking forward to next cycle! I've got my FX for you! And I agree with Junie - do something for yourself today! And yes...I don't consider myself someone who has read all of the classics, but 50 will definitely NOT be a classic. I did enjoy the fact that so many more women became more comfortable talking about their sexuality and making more time for their significant others in the bedroom! I enjoyed that aspect of it, but the overall book itself just wasn't for me. :)
XX - your chart looks good! Timing also looks great - FX crossed for you that this is your cycle!
Sage - I'm so excited to see your temp keep rising! I hope there's a blue baby getting started (and then share some blue dust with me! ;) ). I'll be looking forward to your testing!
I had a dream last night my temp dropped and AF was coming today (mostly because of the backache last night and the watery cm and pinkish/brownish CM after DTD yesterday). I woke up today and it was still higher (98.29). Took another IC test out of curiosity sake and BFN. I'm going to try to hold off until Friday when I go to my OBGYN appt and ask that they do a blood test there. I'll either be 18DPO by Friday or 9DPO, depending on which time I actually O'ed haha.

So sorry to interrupt...Would it be possible to ask you all some advice? I got a +opk at 11am this morning and I'm now getting negatives. I'm using wondfo. The only possible explanation I can come up with is that I drank too much water. Because we were opssibly going to ttc today, I drank a LOT more water than usual thinking it might help with ewcm.
Do you think water/dilution could explain it? Or do any of you ladies know any other reason? I cannot bear to pester Atomic with this I have asked her SO many questions!

My OPKs with FMU are always darkest. Then in the afternoon around 2pm with concentrated urine they are pretty dark, any other time and they are normally much lighter. I think your urine being too diluted could definitely play a role in the negative after a positive.

Junie thank you - that's great to know. I guess I should assume the + was the real thing and that the negatives (which are only a bit fainter than the control line) are neg because of dilution.
Mars - I interrupted your party. Congratulations on your bfp. :)

tm29 you have not interrupted anything, I was where you are just 2 weeks ago asking the same question :) I used Opks this month for the first time and I was testing at 2pm as I was told that was when the LH surge was the highest. My opks were only showing slight lines so for a few days I also tested at 10am and the lines were much stronger so I would say it could be due to dilated urine.

Thanks Mars and Maidentomother - We went for it. I was completely terrified that it was some kind of false + but we went for it anyway. Assuming that was +opk then we've had one attempt on + and we'll try and one today. Hopefully another today and 2 tmw if DH is up to it.
My sway was SO imperfect. I'm really stressed about it. We had a loss at 12 weeks after a really good sway but then I waited so long (since early dec) for my cycle to return that atomic advised me to go for it on the first ov even though we're ttc blue. I had been eating kind of HE but possibly not quite enough cals and definitely not enough fruit and too much coffee and I even had alcohol. But I REALLY do not have time on my side, so we went for it.
Even so, it was a completely different diet from the one that got me my gorgeous daughter. That was textbook LE. I feel completely in awe of you strong, healthy boy-moms with your high nutrient diets. I think I may have done my best to be a member of the club - I really hope it was good enough. :)
Here I am with all of you ladies. Few more attempts to go, but I'm a Feb 2ww girl. Huge luck to all of you - it's all so agonising this stuff. Matters so much.

Junie, can I ask you a question? Atomic has told me not to compare myself with other people when it comes to diet, but I am just so curious to know what you ate to get your two boys. You think you ate more than 2000 cals per day? I can't ask anyone I know this question because no one knows I'm swaying... Please tell me to disappear if this is too personal. :)

tm29 - first off, I LOVE your picture. It completely made my day. I absolutely love squirrels; they're so cute and funny. :) I've got my fingers crossed for you and blue dust. Maybe even just the small adjustment in your diet since having DD will even sway blue. And it sounds like if you're getting a lot of attempts in around O that would be great too! I actually really like fruit juices instead of trying to buy actual fruits. I know it's a little late, but maybe even for next cycle (although, I hope there isn't a next cycle and this is a blue bean!). Good luck!
I woke up this morning with a steady temp (actually, exact same temp as yesterday. Weird.) Went to the bathroom and noticed a little spot of blood in my underwear. I also noticed some in toilet, so kind of bummed. However, I don't have any AF symptoms at all: no sore bb, my back isn't really sore, no cramps (just small "twinges" on my right side really. Kind of what I've felt for a few days now). I feel actually really good. Could be implementation? I put a pad in (haven't done that since middle school!) to get a more accurate idea as the day goes along. If it continues throughout day I'll call it AF. If it stops I'll call it....??

tm29- I'll gladly share! I am naturally pretty thin and before my twenties could really eat whatever I wanted (now not so much LOL). While TTC for the boys I was eating whatever I was hungry for (lots of pasta, chips, salads, meats, cake, etc) and working out a few times a week doing mainly weight/strength training. I would say that with alcohol I probably often ate well over 2,000 calories easy. I also have some light PCOS tendencies which I think also sways boy.

Oh Junie - if I ate that much I would be very overweight. Sounds like a PERFECT A+ blue sway! Also sounds really fun. AND IT GOT YOU TWO BOYS!!! I raise my alcohol-free glass to you.
Oh gosh. I hope I won't regret ttc this month. My sway would certainly have been better if I'd tried next cycle.
I'm trying to focus on what Atomic said about swaying being individual.
XXforhubby, thank you! Is it pretty much the same story?

When I got my boys I ate in this pattern: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack before bed. Breakfast one of the following: oatmeal with blueberries, Kashi cereals, Multigrain Cheerios or bagel with cream cheese. Snacks one of the following: grapes, apples, granola bars, or Luna protein bar (chocolate chip cookie dough mmmm). Lunch one of the following: Greek salad with chicken (LOVE feta cheese!) with cherry tomatoes, black olives. Turkey sandwich with Colby cheese. Leftovers from the night before. I always had an apple and baby carrots too with lunch. Dinner one of the following: pasta with tomato sauce broccoli and chicken. Lasagna, chicken tacos with rice, Grilled meats, pot roast, etc. always included a vegetable and a starch (broccoli and green beans usually and potato of some sort or side of rice/pasta/noodles.) fav snack before bedtime was a small bowl of oatmeal with dark chocolate chips and a 1/2tsp of vanilla extract. I also had a square of 90% Dark chocolate once a day and had either 2 cups of coffee or green tea with honey in the mornings. Ate between 1800-2000 calories a day, but I needed to due to my exercise routine. If I didn't exercise or took a day off, I ate between 1400-1600 calories a day. I was 125 at 5ft 4in and was very muscular/well toned.
Supplements: prenatal vitamin with DHA, calcium plus vitamin d, and acidophilus everyday.
Exercise: weight training for 30min followed by 30-45min of cardio 4-5 times a week. Took daily walks with DH after dinner. Also did Yoga 2-4 a week.
BD pattern: every other day before fertile CM, then every day until fertile CM dried up.
All this= 2 lovely boys!!

XX- I also just reread the part about your son. I hope he starts getting better very soon!
TM- our first son was a honeymoon baby conceived while on vacation for 2 weeks in Mexico so I was definitely eating and drinking more than normal :) 2nd was conceived in the month of Dec when there are Christmas markets here with delicious food and mulled wine, and lots of get togethers with friends at restaurants so again more than normal amount of food and drink. But there are quite a few different types of boy moms so I wouldn't worry at all!!!

XX and Junie - thank you! Glad to hear your son is doing a bit better, xx.
XX - your diet is not a million miles off what I've been doing. It's pretty similar, really. Same snacking pattern as both you and Junie. I've also recently gained quite a few lbs from comfort eating after my loss. Haven't lost it yet.
I just wish I knew for sure we were BDing at the right time!!! +opk yesterday morning and all negatives since.
This is such a stressful business!

TM29- I'm sure you're doing great! There are a ton of us boy moms here that can help out! I never used opks with my boys. I always checked my CM every morning with a little toilet paper in my vagina. I just went by CM. I do now too to make sure I only BD once or twice in my fertile window.
Stressing over a sway sways blue [emoji6][emoji170]! I would keep doing what you're doing! If you're not sure, just ask!

Junie, I think you maybe Oed on CD31, if you've definitely Oed which I am nokt 100% sure about, as your temps are still low.
Taytum, is the blood red/pink (vs brownish)? If so, at 7DPO I think implantation bleeding is more likely than AF spotting.
XX, I hope DS2 feels better soon.

February 17th, 2015, 02:20 PM
XX - I'd love to know! I'm naturally thin too, but since going off BC I lost 8lbs, which is a lot for my body type. But, I just felt so much better after stopping BC and I wasn't hungry all the time or craving crazy things. I started to eat more veggies and had a pork chop for dinner almost every night with veggies and a spinach salad. Eating at least two fruits during the day as well and adding some fruit juices as well. I workout about 3x a week, but I HATE cardio. I used to just walk, ride the bike, or jog for about 10 minutes. I've picked up more weights now since getting on this site. I also think I have some PCOS symptoms. I'd like to think I'm naturally boy friendly, but we'll see. I'd be just as happy with a girl as well, but I know that whatever I'm destined to have, God will give me. :)
I've been checking my pad throughout the day and basically there's not much there. Right now it looks like there were just a few spots (TMI: might even be left over from the pad being somewhat scrunched "in" when I sit down). And some pinkish (the blood on the pad looks more brownish? Maybe left over from this morning) when I wipe or go to the bathroom one little spot in the toilet. Hmmmm? Ideas? No cramps though. No sore bbs. Nothing really.

February 17th, 2015, 02:52 PM
Could be irritation from your cervix or implantation bleeding. I had that with DS2 and thought AF was coming early, but I had sore BBs though.
Your diet sounds good. I would follow: breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack to keep your blood sugar nice and steady. Fruit juice is great. Sometimes I had fruit juice mixed with water or carbonated water with dinner. Usually cranberry/grape juice.
If you hate cardio, Yoga is great! It can get your heart rate up and build muscle at the same time. Black Swan Yoga has a variety of instructors you can choose from for only $8 a month. I ****** it on my iPad, iPhone, or my smart tv. I augment my cardio with Yoga to keep me sane from ttcing so long. I love either Melanie or Candice!

Hahaha I just caught up on other posts! Thanks for the info about your boy sway! I'm pretty good about breakfast snack lunch snack dinner (I feel like I eat a big dinner and don't save room for snacks at the end of the day!). I feel like I need to try to eat more, but then I feel more sluggish during the day, and that's hard to do when you have to keep up with 14-year-olds all day!
I will give Yoga a try! In my small, rural community there are few choices, and yoga isn't one of them, although I've always loved it. I'll have to check online to see if I can get some of them! Thanks for the tip!
When DH and I DTD on Sunday there was light blood after - that could have been because my cervix was soft? Not really sure on that. But, didn't really have anything yesterday, and now just the spotting today. All just so weird. Nipples seem KIND of sensitive, but only when I push on them, so that might be why they're sensitive too haha.

XX - Thank you so much! Yes, Atomic has commented on the blue-ness of the OBSESSING I'm doing. I really am, it's crazy - and tiring! Must be very difficult ttc pink and NOT obsessing - a little like trying not to think of a pink elephant.
If ANYONE needs pink sway advice I can certainly help. I don't think I'll ever go back to eating/exercising that way. Not now I know how it feels to eat 2000 cals and never ever ever have low blood sugar. AMAZING!.You boy moms are so right!
Taytum, I had very heavy implantation bleeding - so heavy I used a tampon and assumed I was out that month. I found out I was pregnant when I was testing for ovulation in what I thought was my next cycle?! Hopeful story? :)

TM29- out of curiosity, how did you get your DD? I enjoy learning about other people's approaches.
It's funny how you can't imagine going back to the girl diet ways! I can't imagine going back to how I used to eat! I feel so much better not snacking and eating right before bed! I do miss my weights though and look forward to getting a BFP to resume my old regimen. I have found I have mellowed out a TON on the girl diet and don't obsess/control things anymore. It is SO freeing for me!
Sounds like you're doing well on the diet and wish you a blue bundle! Boys are SO much fun! I love their energy and how tender they are with their moms- there's nothing like it [emoji4]!

tm, I thought I recognized your name! So very sorry for your loss. *hugs* I'm also sure my diet isn't as good as it could be given my food allergies and not liking to snack, but it is very different than with dd. Try something different and you might get different results, right? And honestly at this point I don't care about swaying so much as just getting preg, and the boy diet is good for that and I'm used to it now, so why not? FX this is a lucky cycle for you! And if not, don't dispair: I had two afs after my m/c and then a bfp which turned into my dd!
Taytum - My ppaf started out with a couple days of spotting. It could just be your body remembering how to af... or implantation? Your temps look good!
xx - Glad he's feeling better! Thanks for sharing your boy diet. I don't know how you could find so much time to spend in the kitchen and exercising, at least after you had the first to care for. Any child care tips? How did you find time to exercise? My dd attacks me when I lay down to do yoga or Pilates. And your chart looks awesome!
Junie - Thanks for sharing your diet, too! So maybe I need a vacation or to pretend it's the holiday season again? lol, that could be fun! We got snow last night, so a vacation is appealing.
So I need some snack help: What should I grab when I feel tired? I'm GF, so no granola bars. And no chocolate (gives me a headache). Nuts? I've been using them mainly and some fruit, trying to cut back on the potato chips. Any other suggestions?
I tried nightly grapefruit (eating a whole one right after I put dd to bed) during sparkle week this cycle, and I really liked it. I'm thinking I'll do more next cycle, more during the whole folicular phase and not just right before o. Anyone know if it's good or bad to eat during the lp?
Yeah, temp dive today. I'm expecting af tomorrow or later tonight unless there's a miracle.

Aw, hugs Sage! I hope AF stays away! One of my fav snacks was a handful of walnuts and raisins. Also about three stalks of celery cut into thirds, 1 TBSP of peanut or almond butter and a handful of raisins. I mixed the raisins into the peanut butter and scooped them up with the celery. Think of the childhood snack ants on a log. I also liked the pecan chips by blue diamond and a laughing cow spreadable cheese. I LOVE those lightly salted pecan chips...yum!
I worked third shift when DS1 was about 10mo until he was 2 and 1/2 so I worked out while he was at daycare before I went to work. When I was pregnant with DS2, DS1 did Yoga with me and still does. Actually, both of my boys love Yoga! I now workout at home with DVDs that the boys either enjoy doing with me or watching.
Do you workout at home? If you do and have an iPad, you could sit her up with it while you workout. PBS kids has an app with their programs on it for kids to watch.
You could see if there are any Gyms or Yoga places that offer a kids corner where they watch your kids while you workout in peace.
I'm just lucky that my boys like to workout with me. It's cute to watch them do the poses and lift weights. My 20mo old curls 3lbs weights at only 21.8lbs!

Tm29 - that is exactly why I feel like is happening now! It's a dark brown now (which, maybe there's more of it now for me because it's a lot of left over from no period since October?). But no cramps and no other symptoms. It was pretty much nothing all day, just a small streak in pad and when I wiped, but tonight there seems to be more. But, still, no other symptoms of AF? So weird! I'll have to see what temp does tomorrow too. I woke up last night completely sweaty as well. I'll be interested to see what happens tomorrow!
XX - I don't normally workout at home, but I have an iPad I could ****** videos from and start! One of the places we go to workout has a yoga room, I've just never done it. And I can just imagine your cute little guy lifting weights! So cute!

Still waiting [emoji6]. AF is due on the 28th. I won't test though until either the 1st or 2nd of March. I'm excited to get to fast for Lent (we're catholic)- it will only help my sway and allow me to lose 3-8 more pounds. I should have 1.5 more cycles before Easter. We will see.
We may stop actively ttcing at the end of April but continue to not use protection. I'm getting tired of temping and using opks. I'm actually getting over trying all together. I'm getting closer to being done with the whole thing and find I am enjoying my boys more and more. I have finally reached the place where I am fine closing the door, and I'll know when to shut it for good. I am getting closer. DS2 was sick with a bad stomach virus and it was nice to devote all my time to him. If I were pregnant, I would have been in the throes of morning sickness and wouldn't have been able to give him all of myself. There is something to be said for that. At the same time I still have a feeling/awareness that there is someone I still haven't met yet. That feeling keeps me keep on keeping on. Maybe I'll flip a coin in a few months and leave the decision up to chance [emoji6]( this is something I NEVER would have considered before being on the girl diet for so long [emoji1]!)
Thanks for listening!

I hear ya Junie! I have stopped obsessing 4 cycles ago. This is cycle 8, and I am getting close to being done. In 4 more cycles maybe? It's starting to get old- the temping, opks, AF coming as expected, everyone around me getting pregnant where I live, I could go on and on.

I haven't been TTC long, but from October until now has been exhausting (and with only one long, frustrating cycle!). I just think it's so crazy that we can understand the logistics of it, temp, use OPK's, check CM, etc., and there are people out there who don't do anything, go off the pill, and get pregnant the next week (my friend just recently did this. Very frustrating as she got married in October, went off the pill the same time I did, and is now 14 weeks pregnant.) Hopefully all the obsessing pays off for you Junie! I think I'm out. :( I'm going to confirm tomorrow with BBT, but just a little bit ago I had a "gush" and had a little more dark brown on pad. Definitely more than spotting. Still no real cramps, and the little I do feel are just mostly on my right side. From what I know, seems like implementation bleeding is more spotting. It has been pretty light though, and my normal period is pretty light first day, then really heavy the next day. This isn't like that, but there just seems to be too much of it?
Mentally preparing myself for next cycle though, even though we're on vacation right in the middle of March. Hopefully we'll be able to sneak away a bit! haha!

I've been stuck on a roller coaster!
Yesterday: big temp dip, cramps, tired.
Last night: Up with dd at 2:30am and eventually fell asleep again (has happened many times without affecting my temp).
This morning: Temp back up very high. Tested and bfn. Used the bathroom later and started spotting, definitely sure af was starting. Used the bathroom again a couple of hours later, nothing, maybe some tinged cm, but not much.
After lunch: Feeling like af was coming, but nothing when I used the bathroom. Chest is still slightly sore. On previous spotting mornings, af usually shows up around lunch.
To add to the confusion: Remember I thought I o'ed 2 days after ff says, but ff predicts af today with the crosshairs it has. I would predict af on Friday and that was the original forecast. And adding fertile cm after the crosshairs did not make them jump, I tried adjusting out of curiosity.
This ride is going to end soon and I still don't know where I'm getting off.

Junie - I'm hoping I'm not out too! For the fact that it's a bummer AND then that means I have a really short LP (7/8days??). If so, that's something I'll be discussing with my doctor on Friday. It's the cramps and the fact that overall I feel fine that is throwing me off. And the short LP. BB have become slightly sore though today.
Sage - I hope that dip back upwards was good and AF stays away! Do you think you'll test Friday if no AF? I really hope this is your cycle!

Taytum - I'm also active in a chat group on BBC for ladies ttc while breastfeeding and a short lp is very common, so I've seen lots of discussion about it and different treatments. I've asked atomicsage about it on here, too, if you do a search. I think the best solution is B6 since it also sways blue! Vitamin C is also easy to do (I saw more improvement when I added that with the B6), and there's the pineapple core method, but I chose to take WobenzymN since was on it for Lyme with dd. Anyway, I wouldn't worry about it too much from one cycle, especially your first one in a long time.
My update: I'm having cramps as I type this. So unusual. I did have my usual ewcm this evening which typically shows up 2 days before af (why can't I have this much at o?!). No more spotting since this morning. I know it sounds like preg, right? But I keep having signs that say af like the cm and cramps. I hope dd sleeps well tonight and I get a trustworthy temp tomorrow! I will poas again if no af.
Add to the excitement that Friday is my birthday. Af was due then, so I lined up an acupuncture appt to celebrate. I figure it'll help me deal with things either way!

Not Junie, but I can tell you how I got my boys! Both of mine were "oopsies" from 2 attempts in the fertile window. With DS2, the attempts were in the morning, which is really odd for us, but I have my chart from when I conceived him and that's what it says! I've always been thin-- 5'7 and 120lbs when I conceived both times, but back then I was able to eat whatever I wanted and not worry about it. I was young, 21 and 27, when I conceived the boys and so was DH (20 and 26). I've never been a big breakfast eater and I don't like eggs, so breakfast would be Kashi high protein cereal and full fat greek yogurt with almonds. All dairy was full fat. I ate meat at least once a day. I never drank alcohol or coffee ever, but drank green or white tea daily. I had never let a diet soda or fake sugar touch my lips. I took a multivitamin, fish oil, probiotics, b complex, and vitamin D daily! I never exercised ever. I have a researcher personality and can't make a decision without hours of research LOL! Classic boy mom I'd say.

This Friday (the 20th) is your birthday?!? Me too!!!

Sage - thanks for the encouragement and tips! I was hoping to at least add B6 next cycle as well so I'll get on that! I guess I shouldn't be surprised if this ends up being true AF and temp stays down tomorrow. I thought after going off BC I would bounce right back and that obviously didn't happen! So I should have guessed a shorter LP would be in the cards. [emoji6] it just can't be easy, can it?! Haha. And what a great idea to make an acupuncture appointment! I need to keep that in mind as I'm TTC - have something planned when AF is due to keep my mind busy! Does acupuncture hurt? I've always wanted to try it. And happy early birthday! [emoji322]
Essnce629 - thanks for sharing your boy sway! That sounds a lot like my regular diet, aside from full fat dairy, all the vitamins, and I am guilty of a little occasional alcohol. Ive never heard of white tea though - is that pretty good? I don't think I could drink green tea so I've only been doing warm water and lemon in the morning and lemon water throughout day, but would like to try something new.
My nipples have been a little tender today and no more spotting/blood since this afternoon. Still going to see what happens in the morning. I'm going to spend the weekend with my grandparents and best friend so either way I have something to look forward to coming up. Always keeps us on our toes though! [emoji4]

Taytum-- white tea is from the same leaves as green tea but are harvested earlier so they have a more delicate taste, not bitter like some green teas (although that is usually from over steeping). They are less processed than green tea leaves and therefore have more antioxidants. I prefer white tea over green.
My favorite that I used to drink daily is this silver needle white tea:

This is my second cycle after mc in 18 weeks (after Amniozentese). With first baby girl we ttc and I got pregnant by the first attemp and it was a girl. I wanted a girl but didn't do any swaying.
Now I try to ttc pink, this is my second attemp, cycle so far. I am not really on diet,
only sway factors were : one attemp in cycle and DH abstaing for 7 days.
I am at 7 DPO, still no symptoms  .

Essnce: thanks for the info! I will have to pick some up and give it a try. Sounds like I would like white tea more than green! :)
Temp did go back up, but not really as high as I would have hoped/liked. It's been frigid here the past few days though, and our bedroom is always cold too depending on temp outside (bedroom is upstairs of older house. Heat doesn't exactly stay here!) We'll see what today brings!

Happy birthday, mommymachine!!! Birthday buddies <3
Taytum, only one of the acupuncture needles ever hurt (one on my belly last summer). Mostly it's very relaxing and satisfying. It's like scratching an itch, it feels good. I had a series of treatments last summer to clear up a Lyme relapse and be ready to ttc. This will be my first treatment in over 6 months. Looking forward to it!
My update: Still in limbo!
* I was having significant abdominal cramps last night, very unusual.
* Dd woke me up at 1am, but it was quick and I had no problems falling back asleep. My temp was in the midrange again.
* I do remember I was a bit sweaty when I got up for her. I had a morning drenched in sweat shortly before my last bfp with her, caused by hormones.
* My back was really sore this morning, but not so bad until after I got up. With dd, I knew I was pregnant as soon as I woke up because I recognized the little backache from my first pregnancy.
* And the test was a bfn. Here it is if anyone wants to tweak, but these tests are the whitest white - I've never had any smudges or uncertainties on them.
* Tomorrow is the original date predicted for af and my guess by when I think I ovulated. That spotting yesterday was weird though. I never had implantation bleeding with dd. And (TMI warning) it was after a bowel movement, so I thought maybe hemmorids, but I really checked and am 100% sure it was spotting, though it was so much I thought af was starting.
It's going to be another looong day...

Sage- I'm sorry about the BFN this morning :( However the fact that AF hasn't come yet is a good sign. I hope your body isn't playing tricks on you and that you just have a slow starter.
Taytum- I really like your chart and think you could definitely be pregnant!
My chart is weird. I don't think I'm pregnant because the last pregnancies I have always had TONS of creamy CM and I have basically no CM whatsoever. I do have a lot of other signs like backache and cramps but I think in this case it is just because AF is coming. Oh well on to the next cycle :)

I may have to give acupuncture a try then. It has always been something I've been interested in, and it just seems so relaxing (I'm all about things that help me relax!). I'll have to see if I can find someone in the area, I'm sure there are people, but I've never looked into it. I do have a massage gift certificate from Christmas I need to use too. But I would really like to give acupuncture a try!
And all of my weird spots/bloods have all only been when using the bathroom (like you said, mostly number 2!). There's hardly anything in my underwear/on a pad during the day, but when I use the bathroom it comes more. I don't know if that's just because of the pushing or what? Usually, my AF just COMES constantly and I can easily fill up a pad on the first/second day. But the past few days have only been using the bathroom like you. Maybe it is something! I have very light cramps too, on and off. Mostly just bloating, and now my nipples are kind of tender, but not really painful.
Junie - thanks for the encouragement! I have an OBGYN appt scheduled for tomorrow (that was already previously scheduled, great timing!) so I may just ask them to do a blood test. Do you guys think that a blood test will show more accurately at 9dpo? And you're not out until AF shows! Sorry if you've posted this already, but when are you due for AF? This seems to be a good month for several people, and I hope you're added to the list! :)

Sage and TaytumJ- I am Xing everything and [emoji120] that you get a BFP! I am hopeful for you two!
TaytumJ- I second what Essnce said about white tea! I drank that and organic Darjeeling green tea from the Stash tea company. I found this green tea to be far superior and very delicate in taste. I can't remember the white tea I drank, but it was one by Stash.
Junie- I hope AF stays away!
I too have been in a roller coaster but think I may be fighting off DS2's illness. Every time I am sick, my temps seesaw between high and low. I also had blood tinged EWCM three days ago that turned brown for two days. Nothing yesterday or this morning, but I have had strange cramps. Not AF cramps but uterine cramps. Just super tired from broken sleep and nauseous too. I get that way when I don't sleep well...or I'm getting sick.
FX that we see some more BFPs before I start the March 2ww thread [emoji6]!

TaytumJ - I've had acupuncture for fertility this time round. I can't judge what it did for my fertility for another 2 weeks (;)) but it definitely cured a whole lot of other stuff, liked blocked sinuses and overheating at night. And my goodness it makes you feel calm.
Sage - I'm sorry to hear about the bfn. I'm going to trundle out my message of hope: I got bfn 13dpo and had what seemed like aF (not spotting, way more) and I then had a bfp. Don't give up yet!
Junie, I'm crossing my fingers for you.

Also add me to the sick kids club. Last week I was home alone and both kids had the flu and threw up buckets (but of course not on the same days) now DS2 who also get febrile seizures is sick again!! Cough, fever, etc. I just want a normal nights sleep again but instead without fail the past 2 nights I've been called up to wipe his nose, bring a new drink, etc before finally letting him come sleep with us around 3 but then he keeps both of us awake so we really prefer to not let him sleep with us but when he has fevers we have to keep a close watch to make sure he doesn't have a seizure. Thankfully he woke up from his nap fever free so I'm hoping he just has a cold now and our nights relax a bit!

Junie, do you think it's the same bug affecting DS2 or a different one? Poor kid and poor you. I hate this time of year SO much.
XX, your boys sound so cute, doing yoga! Your temps look great. I hope you're able to ward off whatever DS2 had, or if not that it helps you conceive (sometimes this happens).
Junie/XX, how did you like Frost?
mommymachine & sage, happy almost birthday! So many Pisces on this board, it's crazy.
sage & Taytum, I really hope AF stays away for you both. I think your temps could go either way.
sage/essnce, I love Rishi tea, especially the one recommended. White tea is definitely more palatable/gentler than green. I like both but green tea I can only have with meals. It upsets my stomach otherwise.
Not much going on with me, other than weird EWCM mixed with AF. I am hoping to start BDing every 3 days tonight or tomorrow. DF just started taking OLE. I need to find a FS/RE to get him a SA and me some femara/clomid. Junie, do you know what such a dr is called in German?

uschi, you are so right about the community here.
Hi Maiden! So sorry for the delayed response - wasn't ignoring! I've been out of town and didn't log on. I am 39.
I loved your usage of "dreck." Bist du deutsch, oder amerikanerin das in Deutschland wohnt?
I was speaking generally about any story or scenario that degrades and abuses women. I can't speak very well to BDSM as I have zero experience / exposure to it. It's not for me. But more importantly, I am truly bothered when people are entertained by the suffering or degradation of another.
I am sorry about your visit by AF! She is due tomorrow for me (stay away!!!) But I am holding off testing until Sunday.

Me too! And hopefully two blue bundles! :) I'll keep everyone updated tomorrow with the doctor's appt. Today was still some light bleeding, but mostly dark brown still. Cramps are basically nonexistent, just bloating. And gas. But...now I think I'm just symptom analyzing and I need to stop doing that. Hopefully a BFP comes your way soon!

Maiden- It will be a Dr. with Schwerpunkt Gynäkologische Endokrinologie und Reproduktionsmedizin. Normally here in my city they work at practices called ("Kinderwunsch, Kinderwunschzentrum, etc"). Although you might have better luck just asking your Frauenarzt especially if you have one who likes to prescribe medicine. I think the kids have been passing different illnesses back and forth to each other. Our older son is super resilient he just goes and goes and so you don't notice the illness much but our younger isn't as lucky.I like your timing plan!

Junie - My sympathies. Hope everyone gets well soon and stays well!
uschi - Good to hear from you, cycle buddy! Any promising signs?
I've been extra thirsty yesterday and today. And over analyzing, I looked and saw I was extra thirsty just before my bfp with dd. It also happens to me with af sometimes tho. Agh, why do the symptoms have to be so similar? lol
Wishing and praying for the best birthday present ever tomorrow morning...
I've never felt so close in these 7 cycles ttc. I feel I'm preg and it's a chemical if that line doesn't darken soon. I've had the hymn "All the Way My Savior Leads Me" stuck in my head, trying to find some comfort in the line, "For I know whatever befall me, Jesus doeth all things well." Even if this doesn't work out, it's a sign my body is more ready to be preg, right?

Sage, not sure! I've never checked my temps in my life and I don't chart. I just thought I would become way too obsessive about TTC and it was better for me to just "wait and see." Sometimes I wish I knew my body as well as some of you ladies, but I haven't gone there yet. I have had a few first trimester-level temper outbursts (which hilariously made me immediate gleeful and hopeful afterwards), but my PMS has been SO much worse since having children, so it could just be that. I love your attitude and that you've had that hymn stuck in your head. I look for comfort in the same place.

Hey ladies,
Joining the anxious wait to test. We're swaying for a girl. kinda iffy about this month. Last Wednesday I got an almost positive OPK. Then, Thursday DS2 was admitted to the hospital for stomach bug/dehydration. When we got home on Friday, the line was lighter then it was on Wednesday..long story short(guess it's too late for that) thinking I would have gotten my + on Thursday. First time using OPK. So, we did our attempt on Saturday. Which I believe I ovulated. I believe AF is due next Friday so I will probably never test on Wednesday. I'm upset that we didn't DTD at positive OPK but we still only had one attempt with a 7 day abstain. If we get a BFN, I will eat a steak and a bowl of cereal.hehe, have DH start LR and I will start clomid and vitex
