Sorry she showed up Junie :( I hope the next cycle will be your BFP cycle :fx:
Purple lovely BFP's and getting darker today :) congratulations again.
I'm finding the mere 3 days I have to wait to see have I ovulated or not torture!! I'm not convinced my temps are high enough so think I should continue every other day until I know for sure.

Your temps were about the same the first few days after O last month. I think you have O'd but it doesn't hurt to keep BDing just in case (if you and your DH are up to it... its much more work trying for a boy!)

At what point are your odds no longer favorable for a girl because you've been on LE too long? Going on 4 mos. on the LE diet.

Well I was on the LE diet for 1 year and TTCing for 8 months. I think the odds of getting a girl are just as high, if not higher, the longer you are on the diet. The only way your odds will decrease is if you drop the diet and add additional attempts.
I know it is tempting to blame changes in your cycle on the LE diet or TTCing. I've been there. But for me, the LE diet did not cause my FSH to go through the roof, or my AMH to be non- existent. For you, I doubt the diet is causing your LP to keep getting shorter. I think when we are TTCing we notice things that maybe we wouldn't have before, because we are looking at our cycle and everything with a magnifying glass.
Big hugs to you honey! I hate seeing people struggle, because I know how much it hurts! I'm sending you lots of peace and strength [emoji8][emoji92][emoji94]

Just a thought, maybe switch over to Atomics fertility diet and increase fat to 60g, which is the upper limit for LE.
Here is the link: http://www.genderdreaming.com/forum/showpost.php?p=158282
You'll have to scroll down past the PCOS info and the PCOS diet to get to the fertility diet info and diet

I actually tend to be up that high for the past 4 months now because she said 25-60 was ok. I occasionally reach 1700-1800 cals per day due to extreme hunger so with those levels, 60 fats are inevitable for me.

SO…I need some help ladies! I am doing the every 3 day attempt…I BD on CD7 CD10 and now at CD12 my OPK is VERY close to positive (like tonight it will be positive)…should I BD tonight or should I wait until tomorrow? I will not be able to BD until tomorrow night around 10pm (I could wake up at 4:30 am and BD but I don't think my DH will be happy. What would you guys do????
Scared about attempting tonight because both sons were conceived with every other day attempts.

Ok. Djmommy, we're pretty close as I'm 39 in 5 short months. I was thinking to head to the fertility clinic now rather than later. It would just make me feel better with an early start. Keep in mind that I've never conceived in life which concerns me now that we're actually trying. There have been many times where we weren't preventing it, just not actively trying and nothing ever happened.

Fefe, honestly I would go now. I have two boys which literally took no time to conceive. My youngest being 2.5 and it seems like my fertility decreased pretty rapidly. I was just seeing my ob for over 6 months and she kept saying oh everything is fine. I finally decided after almost a year to see an RE. I feel like I wasted time. I wish I would have went sooner. If your instinct tells you to go and get checked for peace of mind even, go. But I also try to remember that it is normal for TTC to take a while ( at least 6 month) for relatively younger couples with no issues! Good Luck!!

Well, my RE went ahead and did a blood pregnancy test anyway today. When he was poking and prodding me, I had a sensitive spot on my left side. He thinks it is either a cyst, a tubal pregnancy, or a regular pregnancy. I won't have the results from the blood test until tomorrow morning. If it is positive, then I have to back for an ultrasound. Ugh. Nothing is ever easy and straightforward for me. It's always a meandering muddy road. :drama:

I made the mistake of mentioning to my sister that we're in the 2ww. She's such a Debbie Downer!!! :hair: She's convinced that I'm not pregnant and that it's just a cyst. I understand that she's a pessimist but she can keep her crappy comments to herself. Shame on me I guess... She had infertility problems in the past (she now has 5 kids so I can't say she still has infertility problems). It took her 7 years to get pregnant with her first DC and I couldn't stop getting pregnant (hence the tubal ligation). I think even though she doesn't have those problems anymore, she still gets irritated that I can get pregnant so easily. That being said, I never ever rubbed it in her face nor would I. It would just be nice if she could be supportive for once in her life.

My sister is pretty much the same so I feel for you! My sister keeps saying how a 3rd child will hurt her boys because they won't have as much money, etc. Because she knows I am trying for a third and she has two boys and would be jealous if I had a girl. She made it clear during each pregnancy how much she wanted a girl and had boys. So, she pretty much tries to talk me out of another baby every time I see her.

True, your BDing was perfect so I hope this is your month!
Healthy, I really think you Oed on CD16 (FF frequently assigns O too early) and BD 2 days before is ideal timing, with highest odds of conception with one attempt. Fx!
purple, huge congrats on your beautiful BFP!
Maudster, I would stick with BD every 3 days and not do it any more often, not even 2.5 days. You can have both positive and negative OPKs the same day depending on time of day and urine concentration as well as length of surge, all of which can vary greatly. If you get any positive it's positive for the day. I often only get one positive per cycle, usually in the afternoon the day before O. Good luck!

It can be hard to gauge openness after vaginal birth. Low/easy to reach would suggest O has ocurred, but the cervix moves up and down over the course of the day. Have you been checking your cervix daily for the past week minimum? Always checking at the same time of day?

Hi, I'm back and in the 2ww yet again. After my BFP in February, I miscarried at 6 weeks. I just had to check out for a while. We moved out into the country from Silicon Valley and now my husband commutes to downtown SF on his motorcycle which is incredibly stressful (for both of us) and last month didn't want to have a due date so close to new year's or my birthday, Jan. 8. So finally was ready to TTC this month. I'm not waiting for AF this time, will test next week at 10DPO. This time, if positive, I plan to start my progesterone rx. I know many of you are anti, and for that reason I didn't take it in February. But naturally, now I'm stuck wondering what if?
Nice to see so many familiar faces (although I know it would be better to be out of the 2ww group!) Best to all.....

Uschi- I'm so sorry for your loss [emoji22]! I am hoping and praying that A) your DH stays safe commuting to SF for work and B) you get a sticky, pink BFP! I would definitely try the progesterone next time. Personally, I don't feel like it ever delays a MC like some do. I believe most MC are chromosome related and no amount of progesterone will stop that from happening, if it is going to. But let's put positive thoughts out there! Healthy, pink, sticky bean! I had a massive temp drop at 8DPO and though AF was going to come early- I had cramps and everything. Then my temp went back up and stayed up. Although I could never get a BFP on a HPT until 21DPO with him, I think I just produced lower HCG levels with him from the start.

In the complicated world of TTC it seems I really do learn something new everyday!
I think what happened to me/my chart is just a very normal secondary estrogen surge. It happens around this time can cause temperature dip & can also coincide with CM so it makes sense that this is what caused the dip :)
It doesn't mean anything so I can quit obsessing ;)

Absolutely, go! Run not walk! It is so much better to go early than waste precious time, especially at 38. I'm glad I went when I did for the Diagnostics alone.
Don't mention swaying, but do tell them all you are taking for supplements. Do lie about how long you've been TTCing, just in case they insist you have to have been trying for 6 months before meds are given (6 months TTCing is usually standard if you're over 35). Otherwise, be honest.
I'm hoping and praying that everything is all ok and normal, and your little girl just needs a little more time before she comes to you [emoji4]!!

XX, oh my goodness, I just noticed your signature, so a VERY belated yet HUGE congrats!! What a blessing after a long, yet admirably patient, TTC. And it shows your big heart that you're still in this group rooting everyone else on...
Thank you!! You ladies TTCing have a special place in my heart, because I tried for so long to get pregnant. It just breaks my heart to see some of you ladies struggle too- it sucks and hurts to keep going yet you do anyway because the thought of not having a baby, or another baby, hurts worse!
I will keep checking in until all of my ladies get their much deserved BFPs!!!

True Blue, I hear ya! I'm dying to test as well because I want to start progesterone as soon as I get a BFP, but I'm waiting at least till 10dpo; I'm with XX on that one. You don't want a false negative to bring you down!
Fefe, yes, probably a great place to start. I'm thinking I should give in as well and just go. I'm 39 and my doc says even though I've had two healthy babies, three early miscarriages is something to be checked out. I guess at our ages fertility can plummet seemingly overnight, so best to rule problems out.
Hi Maiden! What's new with you?
XX, I love you! I wish you lived in CA so we could be friends in "real life" - LOL! I love your advice for the RE visit. Will keep in mind if I go!

I'm not happy with my temps - I'm waking a good hour to hour & half too early, trying to stay asleep until my usual time and being disturbed by DD. I bet this is my issue too. I'm taking mine later than I was, and after broken sleep, so now they're all higher and ff gave me cross hairs. I shouldn't have o until today at the very earliest (5 days since my Clomid). But lh tests were negative yesterday.

I found for me what worked best was temping vaginally. I did an experiment where I took my temps after only a three hour stretch of sleep for one whole cycle, and then I took my temps at the same set time every morning (7:45am) regardless of when I woke up, and my chart always looked fine. Oddly enough, the actual temps didn't vary much! Take a look at my Feb. 6th chart and my BFP chart! Those are when I did my experiments.
I believe when you temp vaginally, it takes your body awhile to increase its temp when you wake up at different times, as long as you are not actually running around. Light walking to get the kids breakfast never seemed to cause much fluctuations for me. I'm probably the exception though!!!

I am now at 11 DPO and normal my luteal phase is 10-11 days so AF could be on her way today or tomorrow. She hasn't showed her ugly face yet. I'm planning to take a test tomorrow.
If I had to go with my gut, I'm pretty sure I'm pregnant. I've hardly had any AF symptoms since I quit breastfeeding a few months ago. This month I've had lots of low dull cramping like I did with DS, more post-O CM than usual, a heightened sense of smell, and a few bouts of mild nausea. And I've been really thirsty, which was the case with DS as well. DH insists I'm not pregnant, since this was our first month TTC, but I keep telling him it only takes one time! I'm nervous though because I haven't been on the LE diet for very long and I wasn't very strict about it. I didn't take any supplements or drink crystal light until a week before O and we had wanted to include cut-off in our sway but I O'd 2 days earlier than expected so our one attempt was at O-1. DH didn't follow the diet (but did avoid red meat for a few weeks) and wouldn't take any supplements. So I feel like our sway was really weak. So I wouldn't be completely bummed if its not our month, it will give me a chance to strengthen the sway... Anyways, here is my chart:

Yaybaby, you're right, it only takes once! I know how you feel about the swaying. I get nervous also every month, not just about testing but about my sway if I should see BFP. I don't even have the excuse you do; I've been going at this for about 10 months now. I have horrible willpower when it comes to food. My bloodsugar crashes and then all bets are off. And I hate eating vegetarian (veg food is okay, I just crave meat and poultry like crazy). I'm also dying to exercise. Again, don't have the energy/willpower to work out every day so I've opted for no exercise. I just want to pick up a set of weights again - my arms and belly are flab central.:p

Well I'm out. I was soooo sure and I was soooo wrong! AF came full force this morning. What's weird is I was so dizzy and nauseous when I got up this morning. I was laying on the bathroom floor thinking I was going to be sick. So just in case, I took a test and it was negative. Maybe I have a bug and that's what's been causing the weird symptoms I've been having the last few days. Or could I have had a chemical? I don't know much about them...
I'm bummed but it is only our first month trying and this will now give me a chance to improve my sway.
Uschi - I can't believe you lasted 10 months! I HATE the LE diet, HATE it! I need red meat once in a while and I hate not eating right when I wake up (I have been cheating a LOT since O though, I had beef nachos and had breakfast quite a few times). And I miss exercise too. Like you, I can't do the extreme amount of exercise so I'm opting not to do any. I just don't have time for a ton of cardio everyday. And I'm already way too thin so if I did all that cardio I would probably just waste away. Anyways, hopefully this is your month!!!!!!

Haven't known anyone around me to have stomach flu. My husband asked if it was morning sickness. Way too early?? Wishful thinking?? It sure was strange. I will test in morning, 10DPO. Hitme, sorry if you've explained in earlier posts already, but what is the history? Was there an event prior to lack of O, or is that normal for you?
Well it's a long story but in a nutshell I've had one cycle since AF returned after ds4. I took Vitex but think I took it too long and screwed up my ovulation - assuming that im ovulating that is (no previous issues). I wanted Clomid purely for swaying (no judging please [emoji120]) and held on to my Rx for a few weeks hoping my cycles would sort out but they did not. So my doc told me to take the C, it would make me O and all world be well lol (perfect world right?)

Still early Blue xox
AF came tonight so wtf?
There is no awesome explanation for this - if FF is right with my raised temps and my cross hairs and I O'd when it thinks I did then I had barely a 6 day luteal.
Otherwise I od earlier in th month - and despite taking Clomid at that random point in my cycle, everything was set in motion.
Idk.
But now do I take the Clomid as RX'd, despite only finishing my round like a week ago??? It's so hard to get into this doctor, but I'll try to get some answers asap. I am ready to do this thing!!!

Tested with store brand (Walmart) BFN at 10DPO.
I did not even want to look at the stick, made DH check it for me.
With this cycle I will complete three cycles on femara/Ovidrel. Will meet specialist to discuss next steps/options.
Blood test is on this Friday and let's see!

So now I'm 6 days past my first round of C and just waiting. Either I'm 6dpo On my way! airing for AF or im going to o in the next week or so.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh no judgment here, Hitme! I totally want Clomid for swaying purposes and also due to the fact that I secretly want twins because that's the only way I'd get my four kiddos. I so desperately want a DD that I would be open to IVF but DH would never go for it for belief and financial reasons. I'm fascinated by a few of you that are swaying pink and have only DS's that are now fine with either. I know I will be SO disappointed if I don't get "her." I have two close friends and a cousin that went for the third hoping for the DD, got another DS and of course all say they are totally happy with that. I just can't see that reaction with me. Of course I would love my third DS but to have no disappointment or be actually glad it was a boy? I don't understand their seeming change of heart. Even though I have the belief that God causes and/or allows all things to happen, I struggle with the flippant "it was meant to be" response. It just seems to brush under the rug true feelings and struggles. Just philosophizing here.....

Uschi for me GD comes and goes a bit. I have come to a place where I do actually want another baby regardless of gender. Of course though I would choose a girl if I could. It feels like someone is missing from our family. When I was pregnant with DS3 and for the first year of his life we thought he was our last and yes I had terrible GD but I was also head over heal in love with him so I was happy and he was just meant to be. I'm not sure if that makes any sense. GD is so complicated lol.
I do hope we all just tested too early. That would be nice :). I wish I could actually wait too! My BMI is 16 now so I need to sort out a diet for the next month so will get on to that.

Ds3 was my big run in with GD too. I think bc it was my first with my new husband I assumed it would be a girl. BOTH of us felt this family was due for one and felt in some way the WE would bring pink into a family of ALL boys (we're talking 9... 9 boy cousins zero girls). But with ds 4 somehow I knew.

I knew, and I had an emerg US at 14.5 I went on my own to and the tech told me. She said of course she could be wrong but she didn't think so... I was prepared to hear boy and yet wasn't... But I didn't suffer like I did with ds3.
So this time im putting my all into this and still believing pink with all my Heart and expecting it to sting like hell if I fail...

I know :( I have an Instagram friend from the U.K. - she has 3 boys and swayed for her grill but not on here I don't think bc she believed in Shettles and ph. She got her girl (not that i Believe those things work, but sSHE does, and she has a pink bundle in her arms). I hope we all get our desires genders. I know I'll be over the moon if I do, but I know how I would feel if everyone else succeeds and I didn't... I'd get over it but if I disappear after awhile it's bc I did get GD.
To think in 20 someodd weeks we could all be finding out.

This whole swaying thing is a big mission isn't it! I feel like we've worked so hard and waited so long for these babies and we're not even pregnant yet!
I think we all have those people that drive our GD crazy. I have this one friend who started trying for her first just after I found out about DS3. Ordered herself a girl - and got her! Got pregnant when her DD was 9 months old and has a DS due in a few weeks! She's managed to get a PP in less than 2 years with seeming no effort and she drives me nuts with jealousy (but I still love her lol). I just think I've been dealing with GD for 7 years now! It's so unfair! She will never understand. Sometimes I feel so alone but so glad I have u ladies xx

I totally understand about the DG and it is super hard. I love my boys and wouldn't trade having them for anything. They are total sweet mamas boys!! But I have such a strong desire to have a baby girl and since I am having fertility issues I go back and forth with being OK with another boy. I am at the point where I am totally OK with having another boy. I just really want another baby. I am still waiting to ovulate. I am CD 13 today and had a 15 mm dominant follicle. No positive opk yet but I will keep testing and hopefully be able to trigger. I am trying to remain hopeful but it seems like every month it's something else.

The harmony test is around $430 now in Australia. There are some other options too depending on where you live which are roughly the same price and some are even done here so they don't have to go overseas.

Two BFNs, now I'm waiting for AF before testing again; due tomorrow or Monday.
AFM, I am waiting the whole darn nine months this time. Besides loving the idea of a surprise and experiencing that "Congratulations, it's a _____!" moment, I am taking my cousin's advice and waiting. With her third, being desperate for DD, she opted to not find out and believes it helped with GD a ton. Instead of dwelling on disappointment, she had DS3 in her arms and couldn't help but fall in love. To me, that makes sense. With DS2, after the scan, I was disappointed and couldn't "connect" to him, or the idea of him, for months, until right before the birth. That affected my whole pregnancy. Had he been in my arms, it would've been much easier to accept.

Advice please ladies!! I've been thinking about jumping the gun and going for my one attempt this month (due to o sometime over next 3 days) instead of waiting till June. My dilemma is I told dh to remove obstetrics from our private health after ds2 as at that time we were stopping at 2 kids. He agreed back in January to try for one more and sway but dragged his feet adding it back to private health so I did it myself in February. My problem is it will be a c section (I love and trust my obstetrician and she said no way to a vbac2) and if bub had to be delivered early I may not be covered. There's about a week leeway. Ds2 was delivered 10 days early as was big size so if bub had to be delivered earlier than 39 weeks I run the risk of not being covered. The insurance company is pretty good and would be ok with a few days early but more than a week not so much. What would you do? Think knowing I'm going to o is driving me a bit baby crazy!! Update *** just spoke to insurance and my ob and c section would be covered but not any additional theatre costs or private accommodation IF bub was delivered earlier than 39 weeks.... what to do?
purple
May 25th, 2015, 03:43 AM
It might be better to hold off if you are really set on using the same Ob and going private, unless you are happy to pay the cost (but then it would have been a waste paying extra for obstetric cover).
Waiting an extra month gives you 5 weeks buffer. You probably don't want the extra pressure at the end of your pregnancy. It also gives you more time on the diet if you need it.
Pbn3
May 25th, 2015, 04:02 AM
Thanks purple! Thats the dilemma I am still covered for ob regardless and there may even be an option for her to do c section in public hospital if need be (they are connected) I would still be covered for shared private accommodation at public hospital to hence my dilemma. Have been on atomics le diet for 10 weeks Wednesday and was on a le diet on and off for 6 months prior to that. Dont think I've had meat for about 12 weeks. I feel like I'm talking myself into it lol. Plus conceiving first month is unlikely I'm about to turn 37 and dh is just shy of 45.... just feel so excited about ttc after so much planning I suppose

I think you will be happier knowing that you have all of your i's dotted and your t's crossed when the time comes for delivery options etc :)

Pbn3- Yes, wait! Pressure is no good. I was in that dilemma too regarding trying to push for baby in 2015, but ultimately decided the stress and pressure would ruin the end of my pregnancy.
True - I'm guessing she'll visit me today too. She's late (oh, the unwelcome visitor and then she's rude too) so I was so excited to test this morning and bam! BFN! Argh.
Magical - still a chance? Anyone else for this month still?
I'm leaving for Scotland to visit DHs family for three weeks so now I need to consider how well I can sway on vacation. It's hard enough when I'm home! We've been BD every four days; not sure how many months I should give that method......

Sorry for all the bfns ladies. I know how awful it is to see!! Hopefully it will be a short journey for you all.
I finally got a positive opk today and did my trigger shot. Hopefully I will O soon!! I don't plan on testing early but I will definitely take a test to see a positive while I have the trigger in my system. It has been so long since I have seen two lines!! Lol. Is that crazy!!

I only did because I had thermometer covers. When I didn't have any, I would start temping when my flow was light to spotting.
FX and GL!!
P.S. Here is any remaining blue dust I may have [emoji6]!! [emoji597][emoji92][emoji170][emoji843][emoji170][emoji94]

Just checking in... I'm in the 2ww again, but I have no idea how many dpo. At first ff was like "We can't narrow it down to a 24 hour period" (I'd never seen one of those notices before!) but now it's giving me dotted crosshairs.
*HUGS* for all the ladies who got af recently! And special hugs for Uschi -- I'm happy/sad to see you here again.
hitmebaby, I"m team green. We were with dd, and it was amazing finding out for ourselves at the birth. I hope to do that again. I think it would lessen any disappointment while on the birth high. I remember it sinking in that dd was a girl later after I'd slept some and woke up, and having all those warm fuzzy feelings. I think I secretly favored a girl although I was telling everyone I didn't care.
It's been a week now of following the new diet that accounts for my food sensitivities. If you remember my last update, I had the ALCAT blood test done and learned that I'm sensitive to a lot of the boy foods I'd been eating so much: white potatoes, tomatoes, beef. I don't care about sway at this point, I just want a bfp! But I am trying to make sure I get plenty of fat and calories, putting extra cheese on my chicken and turkey. I'm thin and need the extra calories anyway. And bananas are still good for me and something I wasn't eating with dd.

Big hugs to you too Sage! FWIW, I have a food intolerance to red meat and NEVER ate that while TTCing both boys! Just get plenty of protein and snack between meals to keep BS stable. Oh, and I always ate bananas too! If you get tired of adding cheese to meals, you can always add nuts as a snack. I can't remember if you can have them or not. I always loved walnuts and raisins!
I'm Xing everything and praying so hard that you, Uschi and the rest of you lovely ladies get your BFP's soon!!!

Hi Sage! Truly, I was JUST thinking of you (isn't that funny, when we've never even met?) and wondering about how you were! Thanks so much for the hugs.
Ok, AF is really late now. Could Babi ICs be that insensitive?? I'm trapped here at my mom's house too, watching nephews and my boys and can't leave to get my tests - not enough carseats - LOL! Good, I need the forced patience. Stay tuned, I'll know by Thursday what the heck is going on.....
Essnce - were your water births so amazing?? I'm very in awe. I would love to do that. I wish I didn't have so much fear of pain - hate that trait of mine. At the very least, I'm hoping to hire a doula this time and try to go without meds....

I LOVED my water birth!! I had a VBAC and it was so powerful and it didn't even feel like pain...honestly!! I had a doula and it was worth it. I became one after my experience and I love being a doula as well!!
Hoping you see your BFP soon!!!!

I LOVED LOVED LOVED my home water births and couldn't imagine birthing on dry land LOL! The water makes it sooooo much easier! It took a lot more focus and effort to labor out of the water. It has to be a tub of water too, a shower just wouldn't cut it when it comes to labor.
