Uschi- I've got everything crossed!

Magical: 9 or 10 DPO is still so early, I hope your test tomorrow comes back as a BFP!

Sorry for the BFN, Magical. Maybe just early?

Well, woke up to our dear friend AF. I was totally thrown by the 16 day LP - very long for me. I guess everything is rearranging after MC. I don't think I should waste a month just because I'm leaving, but swaying on vacation is totally bumming me out. It won't ruin it, but I don't want to have to diet :worry:

XX, and others, how long would you give the every 4 day method before switching up? And would you go to every 3 days or every 4 plus attempt at +opk?

I personally switched to BDing every 4 days at month 5 of TTCing. Then I switched to BDing every 3 days at month 6-7. I was going to do BDing every 4 days plus an attempt at positive opk, but I didn't ever get a positive opk that month! We just BDed a mix of every 3 and 4 days instead, but I got my BFP!

I think having an attempt the day before O is key. My BFP month was the first time that had happened. No other combination allowed me to get a BFP. I think since my DH was doing all of the LE stuff with me, we needed that well timed attempt!

FX and GL to you Uschi!!!

I really agree that O-1 timing is important when swaying pink, what with the reduced CM and overall fertility. I think it's best to try every 4 days for 2-3 cycles depending on how long you've been trying/on the diet, and then go to every 3 days and stick with that for at least 3 cycles. It's imperative that you BD every 3-4 days ALL CYCLE LONG, as much as possible, to optimize sperm health. Not just a few attempts around O.

I'd never recommend any BD schedule that could possibly allow for 2 attempts close together (1-2 days apart), as I feel that sways strongly blue. Thus why I think every 3/4days plus 1 attempt at positive OPK is a bad method unless the timing is perfect, I.e. O-4 & O-1 or less optimally, O-3 & O or O-2 & O+ 1. No other combos are safe for pink IMO.

Uschi, so sorry AF came and your cycle was odd...could you have Oed late? Seems more likely than a 16day LP, IMO.

Thanks XX and Maiden,
I think you're both right, and it confirms basically what Atomic said a while ago: O-1 = better odds at conceiving at all, while no attempts together = sway pink. I guess I just need to decide how long I'm willing to give pink better odds. Maiden, in order for me to try for exact timing, I'd have to start temping and charting. So I guess I'll stick with 4 days, then switch to every 3 in 1 or 2 months. To answer your question, it's entirely possible I O'd later than I thought since I only go by tests and the calendar. I'm so consistently regular that I've just relied on that, but of course that has a built-in margin of error.
Thanks so much for your help ladies, and your caring!~

Fx still magical. With my first I did 3 tests over 3 days when I was due for af and all came back negative. Second time had early bfp so every pregnancy different. Don't loose hope just yet, the waiting is torture for sure! Are you using a frer?

Yes using FRER with my sons I had a positive by 10dpo.
Maybe this is an over share but I just had sex with DH and usually when I'm about to get my period and my cervix is low I can feel him hit it, but I felt nothing just before so it's still high. But AF could just be a few days off.
