Apologies for not being here to start September thread!!! We have been away on holiday for the school spring holidays =D

How is everyone going?

ASF - Same old... not really losing much weight LOL and still on the pill to prevent any oops LOL Not sure when we will try again....... maybe soon!

So, I am 7dpo today, and I feel MASSIVELY emotional and a little depressive. I cried in the shower for a bit this morning thinking it wasn't going to be my month, again. Is that weird? I know I usually get emotional, but I can't tell what is going on with me. Maybe I'm actually getting depressive because of this ttc marathon.

And I was thinking about your DD, TTC5.....hope she is ok and her boo-boo is no big deal.

Lola my love- you and dh are suped to your eyeballs and you're full of clomid it'll definitely happen. I would say don't test tomorrow, it's an almost guaranteed bfn and you don't need any more of those. Give your emotions a break and wait till 10dpo :kiss:

B- we almost moved to Texas earlier this year but dh's company decided they needed him here more. I was kinda bummed, we would love to move away from dh's family but he loves his job so they would have to move us.

Besides the cabin fever dd3 is back to her sweet crazy self, it's amazing what 24 hrs on antibiotics can do. I'm considering letting her run with the neighborhood kids a bit today, she's been so sad sitting here with me while her sisters are out playing. So rough being sick when your 4 lol

WP--cool story about your friend!

For me, I feel a lot better today. My initial beta yesterday was 571 so we will see how it looks on Friday. For any symptoms watchers, my boobs were super sore (that never happens to me) and I was pissed off for two weeks, lol! Seriously I was uber bitch America, every little thing made me mad and my mom and my friend both said, hormones! It's funny because with dd my first symptoms were crazy dreams and I would cry over happy things in movies, that never used to happen to me. I did cry last weekend over a kid's essay about his great grandma but that kind of thing has happened to me more often since dd so I didn't think too much of it. Oh, and this time we went out to eat this twice weekend and the food just didn't taste right. It was places I like, orders I'd had before, and it happened twice so I was pretty sure something was going on but I didn't want to say it for sure.

I had this superstition that I wouldn't test until today (9/1) because I know three people with birthdays today and they're all boys. And DH was like, just test now (when I was having cramps) and I was like but I only know girls with birthdays today! lol So I looked up famous birthdays for 8/31 and it was like all boys so I felt better. But I think I would really be happy with either gender, I really wanted one dd and I got her so it's all good. DH says we are having two kids no matter what because he doesn't want more so I'm like, well I better try to enjoy this pregnancy then. I just hope I continue to get good news. I wanted to kind of keep it secret but I had to leave work yesterday unexpectedly for a blood draw and then I came back with this huge things on my arm. Seriously, if my family ever loses our home in a flood we could use that bandage for a temporary shelter. Frigging ridiculous. So EVERYBODY was asking and I suck at lying. I might as well have had a t-shirt that said "knocked up." Oh well, yes it's more people who know if things go wrong but it's also more people who can think happy thoughts and pray for us now.

Well doc confirmed the miscarriage. DH took off work to go with me. I don't think I would have been able to keep my composure if he wasn't there. I did really good and didn't cry.

Did an u/s and saw absolutely nothing ( I didn't know that Mr. Wandy looks like a penis lol!). I was worried about it being ectopic as I was having severe pains on my left side. Nothing in there either. That's good. My cervix has already closed so he said it looks like the miscarriage is completed.

Soooo....he recommended waiting 2 cycles. I said inwas hoping to jump right back in and he said try to wait at least one cycle. Have any opinions on this ladies? He also recommended taking a baby aspirin everyday.

So no more boy diet for me, except maybe lemon water. I still may take my supps since I have enough for another month or so. Maybe I will be extra fertile now. One of my friends had a chemical in Feb and got pregnant with a boy in
march.

And also wanted to add that I am dropping everything. I will still eat healthy and well and take prenatals, but no more supps. Maybe for DH if he needs them, but I just can't spend $100 a month on it anymore. I'm even thinking of not doing FF or tracking or anything anymore. I just want to try dtd every other day....maybe not even opks. I just need a break, but at my age I don't have that luxury. I know this is terribly unmotivational for you swayers to read, but you just can't do it forever. I really hope you all get a bfp way sooner than later!!!!

I am considering the same, maybe just some fish oil if anything xx

This month is different ...or this egg lol .Still no +opk but I got a high on my monitor. ( need peak) Im testing for 3 months not and did not got a high it's always jumped from low to peak.
Anyway I test again tonight and well see if finally I get a smiley or not.

I have a Q I screwed up temping this morning! Was thinking is done and I put it down and got up started walking then the damn thing beeped ! So I lay down again and took another temp but now it's to high. If I put this in FF Im sure it will give me a wrong O date.
What should I do? I leave todays temp out?
Im so angry this must happen now of course.:mad:
But I did it before too Im just to sleepy when I take my temp.

Thanks, Hobber. I know, poor DH. He was not that excited about the SA in the first place. You know you can't use any lube to help out there....I can imagine it's not nearly as easy or fun to do it "dry," kwim!

About the moon, I think it is the whole phase, which started last night and lasts till the 26th. You know you are a huge nerd swayer when you have a moon phase app on your phone.

Off to find that app hehe. What a nice thing for that mama to say. I hope your Dh's results come back fine.

I haven't read the next 2 pages of posts, so sorry if I am repeating....but Tink, technically you will be in the full moon phase. But to be honest, I don't put a single ounce of thought into what moon phase you ttc in. In my opinion, it's kinda an old IG thing. I looked it up also and my girls were conceived during the full moon. It just doesn't matter, so don't worry about it if you are in the new moon phase.

Blue, the app is for iphone, called Live Moon. It has this trippy music that plays also, very mesmerizing!

I hope the SA gets a good result also....on a good note, my doctor prescribed me Estradiol, which is an estrogen supplement that you take after Clomid and it increases ewcm and uterine lining. Kinda the antidote to those two bad things that happen with Clomid. So, here's to hoping that this cocktail of meds and such works this month!

Got another +opk today. Temp went up some today. Not sure still when O was/will be. This is the part I hate-predicting O. Even with opks and temping I still can't figure it out! Ugh. So, guess we are dtd AGAIN tonight!

Nope no ewcm for me. I only got it once in May (before we were TTC) my first month on fish oil. None since though. Best I've got is a minuscule amount of watery cm that's not even clear. Doc told me Robitussin was the best thing but it only thinned my cm. I've went off EPO this cycle just in hopes (if no BFP this cycle) that I can bring it back next cycle and it will work lol. I really hope the estradiol works for you!

I've had a few people call me Lex when I was younger. Like my Dad and sister. My DH likes to tease me and call me Al. His name is Joey so I just call him Joe Blow. Lol!

I hope yesterday or today is O day. Guess I'll know by my temp tomorrow!

Yes I do the monitor and a smiley test every morning. It was high window ( go from low to high the peak) and no smiley.
The monitor you can only use 1/day on the morning . And all this month before I jumped from low to peak but now I have high today. This month is just different somehow.
I will take another test tonight hope for that damn smiley face lol. But if not the I want to see it tomorrow or I will think something is wrong with me!
Oh well because O is late we have 1 more try tomorrow!! Im thinking afternoon so it will be just 1.5 days and not 2 but hope that's ok !:shrug:

Yeah I've heard phytoestrogens can give you ewcm. That's why I tried the soy for 2 cycles. Didn't help me at all. I'll look into the other that you mentioned. If no BFP this month I'll definitely talk to my doc about my cm.

TTC5- for best sperm count I'd say every 2nd day. But we have been dtd every other day after AF and everyday after +opk. We want to get pregnant lol. Gender is becoming less important to me. Last cycle on my chemical we dtd 3 days in a row. HTH

TTC5, I have heard a lot of people taking Vit. D. We haven't started it, but DH spends all day outside in the sun, so I am not really worried about him. Maybe I should take it, though. I haven't been doing dairy....

TTC5, glad your daughter is ok. I agree, it would be removed asap if bad. We also dtd every other day. My doctor said that is the best for sperm- 48 hours apart. We both take Vit D also, like Flava said, it increases testosterone and is good for sperm.

Jane, I am hoping and praying you get a sticker this month. So glad your month off was good for you! FX

Cemas, I continue taking RJ/BP in the 2ww. You really should continue all vitamins and superfoods like that. The hormonal stuff you want to ease up on. I read somewhere a post by Atomic about not shocking your body by stopping anything. I only quit taking EPO.

Hobber, thanks for asking about DH! We should get the results on Friday. I am so nervous about it. I hope to GOD they aren't crazy deformed sperms that can't penetrate my egg or anything. But, thinking all is ok since he's knocked me up before (although unsuccessfully).

Begonia, thanks honey, I hope you are right and we can get it done with some estradiol. I flip flop so much with these hormones.....somedays I am thinking I'll give up, somedays I want to ease up on the swaying and just do absolutely nothing but just dtd a good bit in the middle of the month. SIGH. Anyway, I am CD5 today, so have a week or so. I usually O on CD13 on the Clomid. And I'll have the extra estrogen boost this month, so we are starting our DTD Fest on CD7. I take the estradiol from days 8-12, so I am assuming I will have a huge O this month with a river of ewcm, LOL. And I bet you are FINE, don't worry about your dreams....like I said, they are just manifestations of the crap we think about in the back of our minds during the day. Since you scheduled your GD test, you have been probably throwing that around in your subconscious. If you didn't have it before, odds are you won't now. XXOO

Oh B- yeah dd1 would rather go to choir then the u/s :( so I think we've decided to leave all girls out so we can tell them together. Keeps it fair and it's the only way we can be sure no one just blurts it out.

I can't believe I'm almost halfway there and the u/s is only 9 days away!! Guess it's time to relax and stop checking every time I wipe.
I hope I'm still providing joy, hope and support by checking in here. I'll stick to the grad thead if that's easier I just love the attempts and testing. Not to be a brat but ttc is much more fun to cheer on then to do :)

Hey ladies, I just wanted to check in and say that we had an u/s today. Baby has a heartbeat (114) and everything looks good! Edd looks to be May 5th. So I am feeling pretty relieved about that and I just hope things keep going well.

Fwiw, I am pretty sure I O'd sometime in the morning/early afternoon of Aug. 16th and we dtd the 12th, 13th, and 15th. Would have dtd again on the 16th but my cm had changed and DH was "too tired." Yeah. Sooo....I guess we will know eventually how that turned out but for now, we know it got us pregnant.

Also, for those working on their cm, I know epo worked pretty well for me and flaxseed oil seemed to do a lot. I think the tea and the Robitussin helped a lot too because I had TONS of watery cm 2-3 days before O. It was stretchy if I tried to put it between my fingers but not like in May when it was literally falling and stretching out of me. That is when I wanted to try but got a YI. That is also after just 6 weeks of diet/supp. So I wonder if the effects wear off after a while? Not really sure about that one.

Hey ladies....the loss hit DH and I a little harder than I thought it would. We were only going to TTC threw August and then take a break until December, but it looks like we are going to just keep going until we get a sticky bean. This TTC journey is what it is....

Oh, and we are going to be camping when on CD 14-17....Uhhhh.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to check in and say that we had an u/s today. Baby has a heartbeat (114) and everything looks good! Edd looks to be May 5th. So I am feeling pretty relieved about that and I just hope things keep going well.

Fwiw, I am pretty sure I O'd sometime in the morning/early afternoon of Aug. 16th and we dtd the 12th, 13th, and 15th. Would have dtd again on the 16th but my cm had changed and DH was "too tired." Yeah. Sooo....I guess we will know eventually how that turned out but for now, we know it got us pregnant.

Also, for those working on their cm, I know epo worked pretty well for me and flaxseed oil seemed to do a lot. I think the tea and the Robitussin helped a lot too because I had TONS of watery cm 2-3 days before O. It was stretchy if I tried to put it between my fingers but not like in May when it was literally falling and stretching out of me. That is when I wanted to try but got a YI. That is also after just 6 weeks of diet/supp. So I wonder if the effects wear off after a while? Not really sure about that one.

WP, :agree::agree::agree: I am sorry you guys are taking it hard. I know exactly how you feel. You know it won't be long before you have one in there. And I take the baby aspirin (it's a Walgreen's generic) in the 2ww only. Last time, when I was pg, I took it up to the 8wk appt and my doctor told me to stop it. But I had an empty sac anyway. I did a bunch of checking up on that, and it appears that some docs tell you to take it till 12+ weeks, some don't advise at all, but lots of REs recommend it if you have a chem or a m/c at any stage. Personally, I will take it in the 2ww and then ease off of it at about 8 weeks if all looks good.

Anyways, i tried thinking hard abt what made me go from high fertility to low. Earlier when not ttc we had to take extra care and still flipped once and now,nothing right on O.
So i am thinking the cutting out calcium as much as i know may be stopping me from getting pregnant. The time i had a m/c in jan i was taking prenatals that had a lil bit, but then i heard on IG that people were taking only folic tabs and so went searching for them and got some.
My next plan is to add a lil calcium thru the prenatal and stop worring about veggies and stuff having calcium. I will avoid milk though as it makes me acidic.Cheese once a week. Also the b-complex that i added this time after O seemes to have helped as i am 14dpo with no full AF. I have some pink since today so i will check tomorrow and then stop the promet. Usually even with the prometrium AF is here on 13dpo. So the additions are some calcium(not too much) and B-complex 50 mg with rest of the supps.
am planning amedicated cycle this month if possible.....

Cemas, I have completely abandoned the old IG diet. I do not think it is good for you AT ALL and actually think you should have lots of calcium to conceive a boy. I eat whatever I want, but definitely try to make it all nutritious. High everything, baby. If I were you, I would try to eat lots of calcium! Lots of everything, especially protein. I know what you mean about fertility, though. I can't figure out why mine went from good to crap in just a couple years. I guess my age. I think you should continue all supps when in 2ww except the EPO or DHEA, hun. I am afraid of stopping them now and depleting my body when it needs stuff the most! Did you ever take Estradiol?

cemas- you need some calcium for sure. Forget the IG crap it's not really boy friendly at all! I eat cereal on the morning with raisins and whole milk. You don't need much milk just a little. Sometimes cheese , sour cream. Also a lot's of nuts I eat it every day.

Oh I got another smiley face for tonight! I have no more test left so can't test tomorrow ...I may or may not have gotten another smiley on the morning. But I went to store and the test was 30$ and I only need 1 more so I was like no way and did not buyed it.:mad:
But I can test with the monitor and Im sure it will be peak again because I always get 2 peak day.
I also looked at the test strips ( we no suppose to) but anyway the 2 strips today was darker then the 1 from last night. So I *think * tomorrow would have been lighter too??

Hey ladies....the loss hit DH and I a little harder than I thought it would. We were only going to TTC threw August and then take a break until December, but it looks like we are going to just keep going until we get a sticky bean. This TTC journey is what it is....

Goodness, superwoman ... that is a lot. I was super swamped with work though when we got pg with DD1 (who was unplanned) ... I worked about 80 hours a week, including Saturdays, and traveled at least 2 nights a week. It was typically for me to be up at 4:30 am and work til midnight. Not fun, but like many things you weirdly adjust.

All that to say it is certainly possible to get pg and sustain it while going nonstop. Remember all that you're doing to keep your body healthy with the diet and the supps, try as much as possible to get your 8 hours, and find something that you can do to relax a few minutes a day ... even if it is just taking the time listen to ONE song and visualize getting pg, you know??

This WILL happen. For you and Cemas (and our girl ZB) ... if only we knew WHEN that would make it easier, right?!?

Cemas ITA with Lola. Get on a healthy diet. I don't think avoiding ca/mg is going to help anyone get pg, with a boy or a girl. I'm glad you're going to give it a shot with increasing your ca, I really think it will be great. Are you going to take a prenatal again? I took one preTTC and feel confident that they are good for blue.

Oh, I'm so sorry, Flava! I would just try to do it again, no matter how close together. Get some more sperm in there! But ya know what, if it doesn't happen this month, there is always next month, so try not to worry about it too much!

TTC5, you are definitely a busy mama also. DH and I both take 200mg of CoQ10.....it is a good antioxidant and great for sperm.

Begonia, thanks also for the encouragement on being busy also. You guys are all right, and Flava, probably just a good idea to get as much sleep as I can and keep up the healthy diet and not worry about it.

I also love the ring idea! I am totally going to do that someday, because I just have one ring, so if that sucker comes off, I won't even have a band. And my ring is vintage so I don't want it cut at all. 3PNB, you should go to Claire's too! I always get way swollen after about 32wks and can only wear flip flops and such, I hate it. Hmmm, that is interesting that you never had this before though.....

And 3PNB, you are very sweet to worry about causing others pain, but you don't.....trust me lady, I want nothing more than for my sweet cyberfriends to have bouncing baby boys (or girls!). And ya know what's funny, for some reason, I get really happy and hopeful when someone gets pg and all is well. So don't worry about that here! Begonia, yes i started the prenatal today. and ttc5 both me and DH take 100mg Coq10 2x a day.
Lola ,no i did not take estradiol,sorry cannot help there. but i do have enough ewcm. i make sure to drink 6-8 glasses of water the week before O and that always helps. so try it consiously. i also do mucinex but only a day or so before O when i get a smiley.

Ok I went to research about O and find that I had a long Lh surge this month.
And find this about O :

When we refer to a long Lh surge we are referring to one that lasts more than one day. Im not worried about the timing! Im worried about the sperm count! Thinking it will be low because there is only half day abstinence for DH. So do i want to send up all that pink swimmers there? ( im thinking there would be more girls in the group)
But on the other hand O is like right now so this may not matter at all because they would be late to get to the egg anyway. Here's the funny thing about the ring, I lost my original wedding band ( luckily not my engagement ring) so dh bought me a new one, it's white gold with diamonds. Over the years my engagement ring wore thin on the bottom and split, it was cheaper to buy a new setting then try to repair my ring. We found a new gorgeous setting we were both completely in love with so we put my original diamond in the center. A few years ago he replaced my old diamond with a bigger one. So I'm currently wearing my replacement wedding band but I still squish on my other one at times. My sil and bil gf have ring envy so I always wear it to family stuff. Yes I'm kinda a bad person lol Anyway I'm hoping once it gets cold my fingers will shrink enough I can comfortable wear it without the muffin top.

DTD less than 24 hours apart doesn't mean there are more girl sperm, it just means there are less sperm overall - but you will have less sperm in you (which is what sways pink) if you don't DTD again than you will if you do!! If you still have O pains and EWCM then even better - I say do it as soon as you and DH can :D

I don't think we are gonna make it. His count is severely low. I just did a bunch of online research and it looks like in our situation, they would send us straight to IVF with ICSI (where they inject the single sperm into an egg). With his count numbers, they don't even see much success with regular IVF where they send a bunch into the petrie dish for a while with the egg. I can't understand how he got me pg 2 times though, even though not good pregnancies, obviously. The whole report is not in, though, but they just wanted to call about the count right away. Seems stupid for me to continue to take the Clomid, etc. And the worst part is, he's been on ALL of the sperm count booster supps for 6mon-1 year already! Maybe he'd be shooting all blanks without that even!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's sad, he apologized to me profusely and cried, but it's not his fault. I'm not mad at him or anything, just heartbroken. You guys know I can't afford that IVF stuff at all, so it seems we can try like idiots for years on end and my only hope is that maybe, just maybe, a miracle will happen. Thanks again everyone, I appreciate your sweetness. I feel hopeless and like our dream is over, to be honest. I really really hate how badly DH feels, though. I've tried to be extra sweet and let him know it's not his fault. Like he can control his sperm count. Hell, the guy's been eating whatever I tell him too, quit smoking a while ago, taking a buttload of supps twice a day. He can't do anything more.

I just hate the thought of having to ttc for years on end, and it may not even happen. My sister says, well, you gotta have hope and just keep trying....but how long can you do that? I guess we may need to find a happy place with it, where we have a nice level lifestyle and I'll need to drop swaying, at least the HE diet, but just gear up for years of trying if necessary.

Ya know, TTC5, I keep thinking the same thing....a million is a lot, right? Well, apparently a normal count is 40-60 million and tens of millions die en route. It's apparently a treacherous journey. So, that's where my odds go way, way down. But, you guys are right, I do need to keep hope. One sperm, albeit probably an f'ed up one, has made it before.

I just don't know WHYYYYYYY this has to happen to me. I have the meanest ass ex-dh ever, then finally make my way free and manage to find the love of my life, and all we want is a baby.....not money, not fame, not anything but a freaking baby. I have only been back on diet and supps for a few days now so surely it is not that... the bath would have helped some but earlier in the year I had a bs bath and it didn't raise it at all!! Oh, I hope my pH stays like this!!!

no the complete opposite - any sperm still in the vagina (but near the cervix) will get sucked up through the cervix into the uterus. When you have an orgasm the uterus contracts and sort of creates ripples which "surf" the semen up through the uterus towards the fallopian tubes so sort-of gives them a boost on the way! Nature's way of giving your chances of conceiving a boost ;)

Hopeful, I would bd anytime from 12-24 hours after. I don't think it matters much. As close to O as you can, and even a bit after (like a few hours) is fine too. You could also do it two days in a row. The timing thing is kinda debunked now, so don't worry so much about that!

I try to have a big O before and after, but if I had to pick only one, I'd do after also. I believe that "up suck" theory is pretty legit.

Lola I really feel for you. Looking on the internet is just about the worst thing for people....it almost always gives you a worst case senario. When my period was 2 days late a couple months ago the "ask the docs" website I went to said I had an egg implant in my tubes and I should go to the doc right away. I know the two are completely different, but the fact is, it is hard to have hope/faith when every site or everyone says not too. Honey, our bodies can do some extraordinary things!!! His sperm did get you pregnant twice before...I know they didn't stick, but the fact is...they made it there. All it takes is 1 healthy swimmer. I think you have a great plan.....live your life happy with all the blessing you have and have faith that God is gong to bless you again. It is His timing not ours. I know it is so hard to you to see all of these ladies getting pregnant on the first shot, but everyone is different.

My cousin (who is a little...ummm....Jezebel) was messing around with her husband's best friend and he just got semen on her underwear. Well, she fell pregnant and her DH found out about her messing around and made them do the biological testing....it was the best friend's baby. Everyone was soooo shocked, the best friend kept denying that the baby was his because they did have "sex".

Remember my DH's brother had an aweful sperm count and almost 0 mobility and missing tails....they got pregnant the next month....and have 3 children now. There are soooo many stories of women getting pregnant after a bad report on a SA.

So....it only takes one. You guys will have a baby and then you will be the story that everyones tells to give other people hope!!!


Oh, and get mad....and sad. You should be, but don't stay that way for too long. There are so many people in this world that have it so much worse than we do.

lola i think there is hope as well. a friend of mine who was told she would never have kids got pregnant b accident and gave birth to her son 2 years ago. it was a total shock and pleasant surprise as she had made peace with never being a mom. her 1st husband even divorced her after 5 years of dealing with that and really wanting babies. so i believe anythings possible. hugs!

Oh, I almost forgot. I have a homeschool friend that just had a miracle baby. Her husband had a vasectomy after 2 girls and then 3 years later they decided they had made a huge mistake and went to the best reversal surgen in the country (they have the money). After 1 year of trying they had a SA done to see what was going on and he had 0 sperm....NONE!!! They were soooo upset, but kept their faith and started praying everyday for 30 minutes just for a child. Fast forward 4 years, they had stopped praying as much and were looking into adoption. Then one day they both decided they should get fired up and starting having faith again and start praying again for their child....that month she got pregnant!!! I got to hold their miracle baby BOY just a couple days ago. It is just such an awesome story and they are the best kind of people. Their girls are 12 and 10...and then the new baby :)

Thanks for the advice. I ended up staying home from work 1/2 day today so we could BD at 10am this morning. I really wanted to get the timing right and I think we did ok. I am a little confused because I tested this am and got a digital negative, but it was a digital positive I got yesterday, so maybe something was screwy with it being first morning urine? At any rate, if you were me, would you BD again tonight? I guess it can't hurt???

Vitamin D is very very important during pregnancy too but you can overdose on it I think, so be careful. I had my Vit D levels tested w/ this pregnancy and Dr. Mercola recommmends every pregnant woman does to prevent premature labor and others. Mine was w/in range but low. i'm taking the FLCO which should help and trying to get sun.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up staying home from work 1/2 day today so we could BD at 10am this morning. I really wanted to get the timing right and I think we did ok. I am a little confused because I tested this am and got a digital negative, but it was a digital positive I got yesterday, so maybe something was screwy with it being first morning urine? At any rate, if you were me, would you BD again tonight? I guess it can't hurt???

Aw, thanks hun.....no, unfortunately insurnace covers no IF at all, so we would be on our own with that. The local IVF joint here gave me a price on the phone for ICSI/IVF and it's $15K.....but our plan is to get DH on some super vits immediately (I just ordered the Naturally Smart for Men that Dr. Potter and the ivf docs recommend for dhs with issues....it was $70 for a month!!!) and continue to try each month. After a year or so, we will re-evaluate and look at IVF, see if we can afford to finance it or borrow from parents or grandparents. I actually feel a bit better today.....DH and I seem closer than ever now, oddly. It's like we now have a more defined goal and he is determined to get me pregnant.

WP, thanks for that sweet post....you are so right.....all I can do is hold on to some hope. I honestly googled success stories and saw a lot. One of my old IG pals wrote me on Facebook today about it, that she thinks there is something working right, that even with that ridiculously low count, he's gotten me preggo before is a good sign. Lola I'm surprised 15k is it, but I guess the tough part is that is just one cycle right? Hopefully it doesn't come to IVF though. Realistically you've gotten pg 2x in the last 6 months with his count being what it is; that gives you good odds for falling pg within 6 months again. And it is really fab to hear you and DH are drawing closer together through it; that's the best reaction a married couple can have in tough times, KWIM? I think we all know plenty of people who have not made it through tough situations together so I'm glad y'all are coming through a trial as a stronger couple.

Had a blow out w/ the teenager and she was talking to my MIL about running away. We spoke w/ our pastor yesterday and have a new plan of attack. He told us that rules w/o relationship build rebellion which seems very true in this case and w/ the little ones taking all the time and attention she has been left out in some ways but we have a plan and will re-evaluate which battles we will fight for. S/B good and DH is on board. Other than that, Just stress that seems to follow me. :)

Flava, I would just keep doing it if I were you! But you may be ready to stop, LOL. Do you feel like you had O pains and already Oed?

Hopeful, I would bd anytime from 12-24 hours after. I don't think it matters much. As close to O as you can, and even a bit after (like a few hours) is fine too. You could also do it two days in a row. The timing thing is kinda debunked now, so don't worry so much about that!

I try to have a big O before and after, but if I had to pick only one, I'd do after also. I believe that "up suck" theory is pretty legit.

Kris, did you have a NT scan yet?

Maybe this is the secret key to getting my boy lol coz with my girls I NEVER had an O before, or after!!! If only it were that easy to get a boy, lol ..

Just the 12 week U/S but yes, we will def. find out the sex! We didn't find out w/ DD1 cuz the u/s was too early to tell but I don't have the patience and like to plan. I hate when my friends don't find out. Although it is fun to wait for that annoucnement at the hospital but it's not for me.

Have you heard of those sex predictor tests you can take? I saw them at Walgreens during my last pregnancy but didn't know if they were a crock.

Lola I really feel for you. Looking on the internet is just about the worst thing for people....it almost always gives you a worst case senario. When my period was 2 days late a couple months ago the "ask the docs" website I went to said I had an egg implant in my tubes and I should go to the doc right away. I know the two are completely different, but the fact is, it is hard to have hope/faith when every site or everyone says not too. Honey, our bodies can do some extraordinary things!!! His sperm did get you pregnant twice before...I know they didn't stick, but the fact is...they made it there. All it takes is 1 healthy swimmer. I think you have a great plan.....live your life happy with all the blessing you have and have faith that God is gong to bless you again. It is His timing not ours. I know it is so hard to you to see all of these ladies getting pregnant on the first shot, but everyone is different.

My cousin (who is a little...ummm....Jezebel) was messing around with her husband's best friend and he just got semen on her underwear. Well, she fell pregnant and her DH found out about her messing around and made them do the biological testing....it was the best friend's baby. Everyone was soooo shocked, the best friend kept denying that the baby was his because they did have "sex".

Remember my DH's brother had an aweful sperm count and almost 0 mobility and missing tails....they got pregnant the next month....and have 3 children now. There are soooo many stories of women getting pregnant after a bad report on a SA.

So....it only takes one. You guys will have a baby and then you will be the story that everyones tells to give other people hope!!!


Oh, and get mad....and sad. You should be, but don't stay that way for too long. There are so many people in this world that have it so much worse than we do.

I think it's $250 but there is a medicare rebate with it so I'll find out on Monday how much I actually get back! My sister got 4D and they're so detailed and that made me want them too! Ladies I'm on vacation but thought I'd drop in and say hi!

I'm 5dpo today. Having lots of creamy cm with some pale yellowish mixed in. Same as my chemical cycle. Trying not to get my hopes up and being here with my sister and her family is helping keep my mind occupied. May even be here to test lol. Leaving for home on Thursday.

Lola-I'm so sorry to hear the SA news. Don't give up!

3pink what a cute belly! Ah, your U/S is so soon, yay!

AFM, AF has arrived so we're just 17 days out from our attempt squee! I've been awful at the diet lately though so I'm going to really ramp up and try to stuff my face lol. I tend to skip meals when I'm under a lot of stress. It's a bad habit I have to break sigh.

Thanks ladies but that belly belongs to a good friend of mine. We were all sure she would be having a boy but no, a gorgeous little red haired lady emerged.

I can't believe how many are about to attempt or just have!! So exciting! And all you ladies asking for advice, I'll start chiming in after the u/s. At this point is seems to make more sense to advise once I know if my sway worked or not.
