So, I am 7dpo today, and I feel MASSIVELY emotional and a little depressive. I cried in the shower for a bit this morning thinking it wasn't going to be my month, again. Is that weird? I know I usually get emotional, but I can't tell what is going on with me. Maybe I'm actually getting depressive because of this ttc marathon.
And I was thinking about your DD, TTC5.....hope she is ok and her boo-boo is no big deal.

I know, Lola ... I'm worried about 5's LO too. I hope she updates soon.
Lots of cause for concern on our lil' thread, huh? :fingers: for Daisy and Alexis with the scares. And Daisy, congrats on getting the BFP ... hope all is a-ok, please KUP!
Alexis check in after your appt today!
Tink way to just hop on the TTC train! If you do get pg September odds are you won't even be showing or need Spanx in October ... you'd just lose the ability to booze it up
Flava how're you feelin' this am love? Hope it is better.
And Miss Lola ... :hugs: I am going to keep all my fingers crossed (well, when I'm not typing or driving or things that require fingers) that your depressy, super emotional state is due to surging pregnancy hormones. Because I'm an optimist like that. Even still I'm sorry you're feeling that way, no matter the reason it still sucks to be in that mood. Here's hoping something fab and unexpectedly wonderful happens to you today to lift your spirits :bighug:

Jen I seriously just wait for you to post so I can check your scan ticker  It is going to be so fun when it gets to the single digits! At least we can say now that the big scan is THIS MONTH!
September. Crazy that it's here already. I love fall but it is still so frickin' hot that it might as well be July

Thank you, B! You ladies always make me feel better. I would love for something awesome to happen today too! Actually, it would be great if something amazing happens this weekend when I poas. I may do it tomorrow morning at 8dpo, just for shits and giggles. What state do you live in that is so hot still? It is starting to cool off a tiny bit, will be only 90 here today, LOL (I'm in South Carolina).

Oh, Flava....forgot to add that I think it's ok to ttc if it's just allergies. I really think it's ok overall, unless you are barfing and not eating and the like. Ya know, just take the robitussin/mucinex and go as planned. I hope you do feel better soon, though!

Lola I'm deep in the heart (heat?!?) of Texas where it'll be a brisk, fall-like 107 today. The 5 months of summer here drive me nuts! I love the people, would hate to leave my friends here, but I'd move in a heartbeat. DH and I thought about it seriously this spring but it would be so difficult to move/re-establish his business that we'll be here for the long haul.
OOOH! That's what I should get when I win the baby bet and we have a boy! A summer home in Colorado
Yes the 8DPO bfp is rare, but not impossible! Might as well get the POAS party started for the weekend :bluecheer: C'mon BFP!

B, I didn't know you were in TX! I was B&R in Houston, and my family is still there and in Austin. It is hotter than a mother there today, I saw that on the weather this morning. I'm telling ya, going north is MONEY. It seems to be getting hotter and hotter earlier in the year and much longer. I don't know about you guys, but I think global warming is kicking into high gear, and I am a cold lover and heat hater.

Wow, so much going on!!!
Alexis: I had 1 day of red bleeding and a couple days of spotting with DD#2....it ended up that I was m/c her twin.
Daisy: I am soooo excited for you!!! I hope all is well at you appt.
Lola: I'm pulling for you. I'll be looking for your + test this weekend.
I had an old friend come over yesterday and she had big news. They had been TTCing for 5 years with no results and she had screwy cycles. They tried everything, but IVF. Well, she changed her diet by eating "green smoothies"....they are spinach, kale (all kinds of greens...all raw) and then berries and bananas....it ends up being lots of veggies and fruit servings and super good for you. Anyway....3 months of having them for breakfast and and with meals.....she skipped her period, but she thought it was "the change" because she is 42....nope BFP!!! I am so happy for them, but she is a little freaked out because they kind of got over the idea of another baby years ago and changed the swing of their life. She is a nurse for heart surgeries, and is having issues with blood. So, don't give up ladies....your dream baby is out there.

And the thing is Sept. or not it's dam hot here! But it will be in Oct. too so I guess it don't matter . And it's not fall yet first day of fall is Sept. 23.
Oh and my temp today is 92.40 and stupid FF don't let me put it in! WTH? it says

Wow, WP, that is a great and very encouraging story! Makes me particularly excited because I have been having a green blend drink daily for months now and also been taking spirulina. The greens and nutrients from F/V are supposed to really do wonders for people's FSH levels. I don't have the FSH issues, but clearly there is something else.
Speaking of that, if I don't get pg this cycle, and if I don't give up, DH is getting his sperm tested, period. He is not against it or anything, I just haven't felt like it was necessary, but with 2 months of Clomid AND perfectly-timed BD (and after months of crazy healthy supps), there is no reason why I shouldn't be getting pg if all of my tests are coming back spotless. Maybe I just want to find something to blame. I know I shouldn't jump to conclusions, though!

Why is she not happy she got presents , help ect? I just don't get it they should be thankful .I would be so happy!

Lola my love- you and dh are suped to your eyeballs and you're full of clomid it'll definitely happen. I would say don't test tomorrow, it's an almost guaranteed bfn and you don't need any more of those. Give your emotions a break and wait till 10dpo
B- we almost moved to Texas earlier this year but dh's company decided they needed him here more. I was kinda bummed, we would love to move away from dh's family but he loves his job so they would have to move us.
Alexis- Big hug hun, I'll be waiting for your update.
Besides the cabin fever dd3 is back to her sweet crazy self, it's amazing what 24 hrs on antibiotics can do. I'm considering letting her run with the neighborhood kids a bit today, she's been so sad sitting here with me while her sisters are out playing. So rough being sick when your 4 lol

Oh Alexis, I am so sorry. :( Big hugs for you.
Lola, I am very excited for you! I think your symptoms sound very promising!
WP--cool story about your friend!
For me, I feel a lot better today. My initial beta yesterday was 571 so we will see how it looks on Friday. For any symptoms watchers, my boobs were super sore (that never happens to me) and I was pissed off for two weeks, lol! Seriously I was uber bitch America, every little thing made me mad and my mom and my friend both said, hormones! It's funny because with dd my first symptoms were crazy dreams and I would cry over happy things in movies, that never used to happen to me. I did cry last weekend over a kid's essay about his great grandma but that kind of thing has happened to me more often since dd so I didn't think too much of it. Oh, and this time we went out to eat this twice weekend and the food just didn't taste right. It was places I like, orders I'd had before, and it happened twice so I was pretty sure something was going on but I didn't want to say it for sure.
I had this superstition that I wouldn't test until today (9/1) because I know three people with birthdays today and they're all boys. And DH was like, just test now (when I was having cramps) and I was like but I only know girls with birthdays today! lol So I looked up famous birthdays for 8/31 and it was like all boys so I felt better. But I think I would really be happy with either gender, I really wanted one dd and I got her so it's all good. DH says we are having two kids no matter what because he doesn't want more so I'm like, well I better try to enjoy this pregnancy then. I just hope I continue to get good news. I wanted to kind of keep it secret but I had to leave work yesterday unexpectedly for a blood draw and then I came back with this huge things on my arm. Seriously, if my family ever loses our home in a flood we could use that bandage for a temporary shelter. Frigging ridiculous. So EVERYBODY was asking and I suck at lying. I might as well have had a t-shirt that said "knocked up." Oh well, yes it's more people who know if things go wrong but it's also more people who can think happy thoughts and pray for us now.

Daisy I'm glad to hear things seem to be going a-ok for you though! Keep us posted. How many weeks does this make you?
Lola I'd love to move North, I am MUCH more into cold (even the muck of snow) than I am heat. But oh well, there are worse things in life than sweating! Fun that you're a TX girl though! If it wasn't so hot (and in fairness this is the hottest summer we've had in 30 years) I'd like it a whole lot better.
Jen LOL about wanting to move to get away from the fam! But having read what you've written about them all it makes total sense, they are pretty horrid people to have to be around.

Cemas, I would love to see you get on some meds. Sorry I keep preaching that to you. I just know how long you've been doing this along with me. xxoo
Flava, that is weird about FF....I'm sure there is a way to adjust the calendar, although I've never had to do that. I am so glad you are giving it a go this month!
Begonia, I am with you on the snow. People from up north laugh at me when I tell them I'm moving to Chicago someday, but having grown up in Houston and New Orleans for the most part, I would welcome a change, even if it means ridiculous frigid weather and driving snow and wind. It would be like a new adventure! Part of me wants to move back to New Orleans, though, which is worse than TX because of the hellish humidity.
Zan, you are welcome to gate crash any time!!!! xxoo

Look at the bottom of tickers you like on here....many are from either pregnology.com (that is my fave), or lilypie.com or tickerfactory.com. You make it, then you copy and paste the code for the ticker (there are usually pretty easy instructions) onto your siggie here.

iluv: I meant tell you....I agree with you about the foodstamps. We have never partcipated in any govt programs and don't plan on starting. The less I get from them the better. I am not sure why my parents have the money= children additude. My parents have lots of "toys" to make them happy and our children make us happy. Don't get me wrong, they love the kids and family, but Dad came from a "put everything in savings" family....and we have no or little savings. We have no regrets....dad wishes he was around more when we were kids. But my brothers are all renting, own nothing, and have no money.....go harass them :) They just want the best I guess.

Well doc confirmed the miscarriage. DH took off work to go with me. I don't think I would have been able to keep my composure if he wasn't there. I did really good and didn't cry.
Did an u/s and saw absolutely nothing ( I didn't know that Mr. Wandy looks like a penis lol!). I was worried about it being ectopic as I was having severe pains on my left side. Nothing in there either. That's good. My cervix has already closed so he said it looks like the miscarriage is completed.
Soooo....he recommended waiting 2 cycles. I said inwas hoping to jump right back in and he said try to wait at least one cycle. Have any opinions on this ladies? He also recommended taking a baby aspirin everyday.
So no more boy diet for me, except maybe lemon water. I still may take my supps since I have enough for another month or so. Maybe I will be extra fertile now. One of my friends had a chemical in Feb and got pregnant with a boy in

Lola- I hope this is your month!
Tink- I hope AF stays away.
Gals can you all take a look at my chart? We're supposed to be avoiding for my testing at the end of the month and what in the world it looks like I o'd on CD9?!?!?! I used to O cd 15 or so before my second DD was born and since my cycles have returned, cd17-19. I'm floored and this would mean we have perfect timing this month. Can fish oil make you o early? It's the only thing I've changed. I temp vaginally so it's really accurate.

Alexis: I am soooo sorry. Glad you went to the doc and have some peace of mind. I would TTC when I felt up to it, but 6 wks really isn't too long.
b3: I would temp for a another week or so before deciding FF is right. They have me wrong O dates 2 months in a row. This month they thought I Oed 2 days earlier until I kept putting in more temps. You may have Oed on CD9 though.....I just think it is too soon to tell. Is it important for you guys not to get PG this month because you going to the doc? GL can't wait to see your temps for the next couple days.
LOLA!!!! Where are you hiding? I am assuming you did not cave and test today. I have been tempted to rip open my box of tests I hid away.....I have to practice self control....at least for a few more days. I had cramping today, kind of weird for me....I don't think I ahve had that before in the 2WW.....it only lasted a couple hours. Thank goodness this weekend is going to keep me busy. WP: Yep, my test results won't be accurate if I'm pg. My temps just never go to 98 if I haven't o'd. It's so strange!
Ok calming down a bit. I did have a few temps higher than 98 in my Jun cycle. However they weren't after such a bit dip so idk. We shall see. I can't say I'll be sad to be pg in the slightest bit but I do really want to get these results right once and for all.

Hey guys, I'm FREAKIN' SICK NOW, feel myself going downhill as the day goes on. I have a huge spike this morning, partly because I think I have a fever. But this is good, I usually get sick.....those of you who have been with me for a while now know that's my symptom. I didn't test this morning. Will on Sunday, I think. I'm still all emotional too. Anyway, I want to write one of my usual long replies to everyone, but my brain is not working so well. So, if I skip commenting on you, don't think I don't luv ya!
First of all, Alexis, I am sorry, sister. I know it sucks big time. I would say the skipping a month is up to you. I can tell you this: I conceived DD1 two weeks after a chemical. I remember feeling pg, and when I went in a month after my m/c, right before I was supposed to start AF for a checkup to see how my lining looked, I told her I felt pg again. She laughed at me. Then she came back and told me I was indeed pg. LOL But it was a girl, obviously. Lots of women have boys after chems, though.....it's not a for sure girl ticket. However, I do believe that it is best to give yourself a month for that lining to just get back into gear. On my off months, I take supps AF-AF for lining and track my O to see what happens and just chill, it's a nice break to gear up well for another good sway. And definitely take the baby aspirin....if you don't know, it helps your lining have thinner walls to veins and such so the bean can make a better "connection" during implantation. I take it every 2ww. All that being said, I think if you want to go for it again, you should. No harm in that if it was so early. Your lining likely shed just like AF, so no big deal. The girl sway thing is because they hypothesize that increased progesterone sways girl, and if you had more b/c you were pg for a stint, then it would. But, that early, you likely had no more than you would with a regular LP, kwim? But if it were me, I'd just take one month. I did after my January chemical and got pg right away in March....but of course that one was my 10wk loss, so who knows. HUGS AND LOVE your way, I hope you are doing ok.
Blue, looks like you did O super early. Must have been the fish oil, that is interesting. What are you doing with the protein s deficiency? Doing ok? You and your family are beautiful, by the way, saw your FF chart there. Did you dtd right on O then? You must have been superovulating to bust that egg out soon like that, hopefully if it's a pregnancy, then it was your superman egg!!!
WP, cramping a week after may be implantation! You don't normally have that? UH OH!!! When are you testing now? I have my tests hidden away also, LOL. I wish I could have a bunch of chickens to lay me some eggs. If I didn't live in the middle of the city, I'd get some! Although you can have 6 in the city limits. My dogs would go batshitcrazy if we had any and probably eat them. (I have 2 black labra-somethings and a 12 year old golden who is my 1st baby/furbaby. Both of the labs are morons...I caught the boy STANDING on the couch with one of my Crate&Barrell pillows in his mouth while the stuffing was spread all over the room the other day. Think of what he'd do with a chicken, lol.) Ok, huge tangent there.
OK, I have gotta stop rambling. I do have a fever, that is for sure. I have interviewed 2 people at work today and feel like I acted like an idiot but didn't want to mention I'm coming down with something!

Alexis I'm so sorry hun. Thank goodness DH came with you. I do think anecdotally the cycle post-mc "sways girl" but don't know if there is any evidence to back that up. I say go for it when you feel like it. Are you dropping the diet due to the mc? Or just tired of it?
Heather I'm not a charter so have nothing to offer there, I'm sorry! I haven't heard of fish oil bumping up an O, but sometimes the body does just kick the egg out early. In the 9 months I tracked mine I was almost always on CD13 or 14, but did have 2 cycles where it came on 10. No reason that I could figure! Hope all works out how you would like it to!
Flava I do think there will always be something that could make you think it isn't the "perfect" month to TTC, it's such a tough call! If you feel well I say go for it, but I understand why you want everything to line up right this time. Such a tough decision for you, I wish there was an obvious answer.
I'm going to pretend Lola tested this am and got a BFP and is celebrating with cake and ice cream so her hands are too busy to type and tell us
WP, FX for you!!! When will you break out those tests? 9? 10?
Hobber I guess you got the diet workin' now :suprise: You're trying Oct right? FX you get pg quickly so your weight gain stays low! And just bc getting pg quickly is obviously the goal
So today I am DYING to find out what is in my belly, LOL! I still feel great about the outcome either way, I can totally get excited about another little girl, but I just want to know!!! I am going to be watching the screen on my next u/s like a crazy woman. That said, I really do love the idea of the birthday surprise so I hope I can make it there! Even if I see something during the u/s as long as the tech doesn't say it I won't know if I really saw anything, KWIM? Those things are always baffling!

Exactly, Flava! The only times I've been sick this whole year are the two 2ww when I was indeed pg.
I only drop EPO in the 2ww, I keep taking the fish and flax oils and such. I think Atomic said you don't want to shock your body and immediately deplete it of nutrients it is used to. What else are you taking and we can hoperfully tell you if there are any other no-nos....

3blue- looks like you did O so early I have no clue why fish oil don't do nothing for me. (not even more ewcm)
or maybe you O twice this month? I could happen you will O again? Or FF just wrong...sorry Im not a big help on this.
I'm wondering if it's a gear up to O type of thing and then I don't. I would have never thought to start taking opks now and I have only 1 left! I'm debating ordering more when if I did in fact O that would be a waste. We're avoiding the rest of the month regardless so I guess I'll just wait and see.

Aww thanks. I have no side effects of the deficiency so I'm good. I just really wanted the results to be accurate finally as it's what the 3rd time I've had this test. We dtd o-2 and o-1 figuring I had at least a week until O. We've charted to avoid with no bd after cd 10 and been fine so gah! CD9 what in the world. Of course I would be so thrilled to be pg and I guess God has a different plan. At least I've kept up the supps and while I didn't do so great with the diet around AF (we were out of town) I have just made sure to eat all the time no matter what it is. Dh is finally back on his supps too since I started putting them on his plate again lol.
I'm sorry you're sick!

Phew - I'm totally caught up! :)
Lola - I think those are all great signs of a bfp and I might just pee my pants if you are. If you test before 10 dpo just be prepared for a BFN. If not, wait till 10 dpo. I'm a hormonal crazy person throughout pregnancy but certainly those 1st set of weeks and I'm really thinking this might be it for you.
Flava - That is just not right that you've never had a baby shower. I'd throw you one if I could! I do have to say that I'm guilty of complaining about those who don't follow the registry. Not uber complain just get bummed. The problem is that you spend all of this time studying what you want and generally put a lot of time and effort into your registry. When you have a shower (especially the 1st baby) you sort of hope to get those things you registered for. People of coarse love to buy clothes and normally 0-3 months clothes. So you really end up w/ a lot of things you might not need and very little of what you do. I do hate to complain about that but people should help you get what you really need and maybe a cute little outfit too. I'm not being selfish though I hope. I try to stick to people's registry's.
Daisy - Congrats on the BFP. According to Kaiser these are the HCG levels. You are right where you s/b and I think they double every week or so.
Pregnant women, about 4 weeks after the LMP:
50–500 IU/L
Pregnant women, about 5 weeks after the LMP:
100–10,000 IU/L
WP - Re: money. I know especially in the Bay Area where we live, it's very money focused and family is a different this as a lot of folk here are 2 income families. My DH and I have also decided that we just aren't going to have savings right now, a house we own, nice cars.....we have more kids. It's hard sometimes trying to keep up w/ the Jones's. We normally joke and put our best friends last name when we use that phrase. They stopped at DD2 and meant to stop at DD1 just cuz they want to travel and retire as early as possible. DH and I just have to try and be happy where we are. It's hard here cuz things are sooooo expensive and he really needs to make another 30k for us to be comfortable but it will work. I think it's just a matter of priorities and choices and we've made ours. Now all you other little &*%%*'s can back the F*&* off and respect our choices. :) Hey maybe we'll hit the lottery some day. :)
Sorry if I missed anyone.

Iluv I LOL about peeing your pants for a BFP for Lola! I would pee mine too!!!

Lola enjoy relaxing your sick self this weekend! FX it ends with a BFP! Maybe we'll get a double dose of good news and WP and you can be due date buddies!
So Heather do you think you'll find out with #3? Have you ever had a surprise? We haven't yet and DH has always wanted one so I'm TRYING to honor that!
I think my curiosity is just increasing because we're finally telling everyone and after "congratulations" most people immediately say "will you find out?" So far I have to say I'm really happy because I haven't had a single friend say anything like "aren't you scared of 3 girls" or anything insensitive like that. I'm sure once I start showing I will likely get the comments from strangers but at least all of my friends are genuinely excited for us

I tested, but a bfn as I expected @9dpo. I kinda just wanted to try one of these new wondfo tests. But I'm not discouraged. I slept literally from 6pm-this morning around 9am and feel much better. Maybe I kicked it? I am taking all the super vitamins still. I do have those burny kind of cramps today. I'm gonna test again in the morning.
Flava, don't take the FertileCM after O, and now Atomic is saying flaxseed oil is not good for ttc in general.
Daisy, also glad all is looking good!
Begonia, wish Frogs would send us the video, I'd love to see it! Maybe I'll ask her, it would be good motivation for you, yea?
WP, you would be smart to wait till AF is due if you hate the bfns.
On that note, Alexis, you are like me with my 1st chemical....I had it like 2 days after I would have had AF, so if I wouldn't have tested, I would have never known. That's the bane of these early tests, but we can't help it sometimes! I know what you mean about the diet. Personally, I think if you just be sure to eat well each day and eat a lot of different nutrients and make sure you are eating protein, that's not bad. I would not go back to MY old diet, which is hardly eating until 1pm and drinking 3 Starbucks daily! I hope you are doing ok.
Well, will check in later, hope everyone is doing well and has something fun to do today!!!

Lola- SS about the BFN, fx for tomorrow!
WP- Good for you staying strong. I just ordered some more ICs so I know I'll be testing from 8dpo on...testing addict I am! I keep telling myself it's for science. Just to see how early you could catch it lol.
AFM: My temp is up and down so I'm thinking I'm safe. TCOYF just moved my cover up on my chart there and that makes more sense. I'll know with a couple more temps for sure and I went ahead and ordered some opks just in case. Oh and OT but we got renters with a 1 year lease for our house! I think they'll probably stay longer than that and that is just a huge weight off of our (especially Dh's) shoulders.

Aw Lola, I'm sorry for the bfn, maybe that will change in a day or two. Fwiw, in July I started testing early every day/two days and was so disappointed. And in August I swore I would not test til af was due and I got a bfp. With dd, I did not test until the night before af was due. I think early tests can be great but sometimes not--just because it is bfn at 9dpo doesn't mean it will stay that way! Fx!
We are getting tons of rain from the tropical storm here and I am laying around being so lazy and eating so much girl stuff! Oh my gosh, ice cream and shells and cheese and cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies.....I mean, the gender is set now, right? I am back to my old habits!

Daisy-I think I'm gonna do partial diet. Lemon water (acquired a taste for it believe it or not) and will eat healthy and keep up my blood sugar. Not gonna do the bs drink anymore. I still have a few cans of V8 left so I'll drink that leading up to O. Still have my supps too.
Lola-it's unbelievable how many women have chemicals and just don't know. It's scary for me though because I'm Rh negative and need the Rhogam shot after a mc. Though my doc said usually before 10 weeks you don't need it but he likes to give it anyway. I had found out I'm Rh- after my first mc at 6 weeks.
This TTC journey is such a roller coaster!

September 3rd, 2011, 04:34 PM
Alexis, do you need the rhogam shot to prevent a m/c? If so, why don't they just give it to you after a BFP? Why do you need it after the m/c?
Lola, test again in a few days (if you can wait!). Cramps are a good sign, right? FX for a BFP soon!!
Daisy, eat all the ice cream you want, you can't change the gender now! Dairy won't make a baby's willy fall off or anything!
Alexis2007
September 3rd, 2011, 04:41 PM
Hobber-the Rhogam shot is for my negative blood type. My husband is positive blood type. So if the baby has a + blood, my body will react and try to attack the baby with the different blood types. The Rhogam shot is given to the mother at 28weeks gestation, after delivery, after a mc, and after any time the mother bleeds during pregnancy. If not given, miscarriage is a definite possibility. The shot prevents my body from becoming sensitized and attacking the baby. I hope I'm giving a clear description of this lol.

Alexis, my DD2 is negative, so that is good to know. Of course, I'm sure her doctor will tell her all this stuff when she is ttc someday, but my pediatrician did tell me about it also. She told me it's not a big deal, hope that is true for you! And you are so right about the chems. My doc told me like half end that way and a lot don't even know it.
So, another bfn today at 10dpo. I'm just not feeling it. I know it's still early, but I just don't feel like this is our month. Already looking ahead to next....I am going to have DH do the semen analysis...a wise friend who has been struggling longer than I told me I should go ahead and do it even though we know he's knocked me up a few times before (all to no avail though). I may take a month off the Clomid, whatever my doctor recommends. I'm just bummed and SO TIRED of this. Sorry to be such a bummer today.

And also wanted to add that I am dropping everything. I will still eat healthy and well and take prenatals, but no more supps. Maybe for DH if he needs them, but I just can't spend $100 a month on it anymore. I'm even thinking of not doing FF or tracking or anything anymore. I just want to try dtd every other day....maybe not even opks. I just need a break, but at my age I don't have that luxury. I know this is terribly unmotivational for you swayers to read, but you just can't do it forever. I really hope you all get a bfp way sooner than later!!!!

Of course I also feel like cussing bc I'm just so upset that this *might* not be your month ... I remember your 1st attempt back on IG and it just breaks my heart what this past year (and then some) has held for you on the TTC front.
I know your past BFPs came at 10dpo so this feels like a definite BFN, but we all know ... 10 dpo is still to early to call yourself out. So I'm going to hold a sliver of hope but I totally get why you're thinking of next month already.
I like the plan to drop the supps and go with a good ol' healthy diet, see what your doc says about clomid, and to go ahead with the SA. Y'all have talked about it for a while and if you're not going to pay for supps this month then the money can be used for that. I remember it isn't very expensive.
Ah Lola. Go ahead and vent away ... YOU aren't a bummer. This situation is a bummer. You are lovely.

SO many women get pregnant when they stop stressing about it... several people I know, who had tried for a long time and finally turned to adoption, then got pregnant when they WEREN'T trying!
You are such a great person; you deserve for this to work. Sending you huge (((HUGS))). I wish I could do more for you!

Oh, Lola. Your not a downer....TTC is a roller coaster and we are all here for you. I agree that FF can stress us out (I haven't temped in the past couple days) and all the supp can get so overwhelming. I agree go for it!!! If my friend can get PG at 42 (she only has 2 children and has a hard time conceiving at all) and she wasn't even taking any vitamins or supplements.....you can do it girl.....just go healthy and stress-free. On the TTC boy board on FF more than half of the girls told me they had been TTCing for too long and just cut everything out (maybe kept up with supp), but got pg right away AND got their boy. Our goal here is to have a healthy baby first and gender is just an experiment. This month I have tried my hardest to stay away from the charts on FF and my old pg charts....just try to stay involved with the things I enjoy and love in my life. What are your interests? Maybe you could learn a new skill that you could use once you are pg or have a new baby....like sewing or knitting. You will have another baby. Big hugs from us.....please stay around even if you are not swaying (unless you just need a break from us).
Take care.....go get a starbucks (decaf just incase :) )

Flava, don't take the FertileCM after O, and now Atomic is saying flaxseed oil is not good for ttc in general.
I will do so with the fertile cm .And I never take falxseed so that's good for me.
Sorry about the bfn but it still early and I see your temp looking good. MAy have been a ID on 9 dpo?:fx:

Daisy- Great news, congratulations!
That is great new about the house! And I forget to say last time you guys look so nice together and the girls are just super cute!!!!

Same here Im RH- and hate that damn shot ! It burns like hell!

I think this is excellent advice that piggy backs on what you said Lola ... that this past year has taken you away in some ways from who you really are since you've been all wrapped up in TTC. It's hard to take your mind off of it though, I know.
Keep at it girl. Like WP said ... you will have another baby. As long as you keep trying you WILL get there. It's just a matter of time and unfortunately it has taken much longer than you and DH thought it would  Hope that you've found something enjoyable to do with the rest of your weekend.
Heather, congrats on finding renters!
Daisy I LOL about all you've been eating now! Here's hoping you have no nausea this time around (did you have it before?) and can keep enjoying food!

Lola.....bigs hugs dear and i think u still got a few days. u never know :)
i hear u abt this never ending TTC.....and yet we don't want to give up. i think maybe a month off clomid might do the trick as u got quick pregnant the natural months. i heard a friend of mine have 2 m/c's and then a normal baby boy and she is 33. so the m/c does not means ur eggs are bad or anything. it was just not ur time then. its just that the union of sperm egg was not ideal and its a complex process so things go wrong with good eggs too. i tried to read some and talked to few people after mine and so thats what i think. i would say do the opks atleast so u don't miss the best times . the temps etc really don't matter. i have almost stopped temping after O as i get weird temps, as i sleep with an open mouth or my clothes or with the room door left closed/open. So i figured i can live without that tension and be more relaxed in the 2ww.
where did u read that atomic says no to flaxeed oil??? link? i was thinking of doing it in 2ww just for longer LP

:hug2: Lola.
You just word everything so well! I'm going to a do a serious "yeah that" :) Lola you are in my thoughts and WP's advice is great too about perhaps learning something new to take your mind off of things.
I'm so psyched to TTC I can't stand it. I've wanted this for months now and with DH finally on board (at least this week lol) and our financial stress eased we can really just go for it. Even if my test results come back unfavorable, I've already been through one pregnancy with lovenox shots and it's not that big a deal. DD1 has asked for a baby brother a few times lately and it just makes my heart melt. Hopefully though she won't mind another sister lol.

Hey, thanks everyone, you ladies are so sweet and encouraging! I got another negative this morning at 11dpo, but I am pretty zen about it today. You all are probably right, I need to chill out about it all maybe and just see if I get some luck that way...but won't be leaving GD for sure! The thing is, I have a SUPER full life....I run the largest performing arts organization in my state, and love every busy minute of it....and I've got the kids and a great husband now....and am involved in so much going on in the arts in my city....so my passion is really my family first, and then my work....BUT this ttc thing has taken my mind away from work a lot. I would say I am at about 80% of what I normally put into it, which is not great sometimes, but a good portion of my life has been taken over by all the ttc. I think you all know what I mean. So, I think it is time to put some more into work and find a nice lasting zen place with this ttc. I have 36 dancers coming back to the studio tomorrow for our official first day and a busy and exciting season for the next 7 months, so hopefully I can keep it all balanced. But again, thank you all for your love!!!!!
What's hard is that I just can't for the life of me figure out what on earth I could do BETTER, ya know? I know there is still some possibility that I could still be pregnant, but I am going to just move forward and assume I'm not. It's time for a semen analysis, like I said. Then, if there is a problem, we can deal with that head on. DH and I talked about the what ifs yesterday.....there is no way we can afford like 15-20K for IVF, but we decided it's important enough to us to have a baby together, so if we have to, we can harvest my eggs and freeze them in case I don't make any good ones anymore by the time we can save up for IVF- which may be 2-3 years. I am going to call my doc and talk to her about possibly seeing an RE and also what she thinks we should do now. I don't want to waste my full run of Clomid for nothing.
Hobbermittens
September 5th, 2011, 11:05 AM
Lola, I heard a whole thing on the radio about egg harvesting and saving them for the future. Apparently, a lot of women do it with great results! I think that is a good solution if you end up needing to go the IVF route. I am glad you and your DH are able to talk about all this stuff and to be on the same page. You are really lucky to have a DH like that. I can tell you my DH would not be on board for IVF or anything. I once mentioned adoption, and he was completely against it, and wouldn't even hear my side of things.
Putting more energy into your job is also a good idea. It will definitely take your mind of TTC for a while. Let us know what happens with the SA.

September 5th, 2011, 11:36 AM
Thanks, Hobber! I am glad you said that about the egg saving working out for a lot of people! That may be way unnecessary, but you never know. Thing is, I just gotta see what the deal is with the sperm here. If there is an issue, there is no point in us continuing to ttc unless we have a solution. If there is no issue, well, then we just keep trying indefinitely or just decide to give up. I worry about the ttc indefinitely, though. Anyway, this is the story that makes me worried about sperm, and also be perplexed: my bff's sister ttc for like 2-3 years, and finally, they started the infertility process. The DH's SA came back as "non-capacitating" sperm, meaning his sperm wouldn't shed their helmet and penetrate the egg. So, the only option they had was IVF. First round works, and they have B/G twins. When the twins are 6 months old, she discovers that she is pg naturally, and they have a girl. They are all so adorable, by the way, almost like triplets. Anyway, my bff told me recently that they got pg the month they got this new sex toy which, well, let's just say it vibrated everything, even the balls. (I ordered it yesterday, LOL!) So, I don't know, I get nervous hoping my DH doesn't have some issue that can only produce a baby via IVF, but then I get hopeful thinking that we still have some time and gotta just wait and see what happens. Thanks for saying that I am lucky to have my DH.....that is nice to hear. I do agree, I am lucky to have him, and I think it's a nice way for me to end up since my 1st DH was a complete nightmare. (:

September 5th, 2011, 12:13 PM
That sex toy might have magical TTC properties, huh? Even if it doesn't, you'll have fun!! Anyway, try not to worry too much about what could be wrong. WHo knows what the SA will show. It may be something really easy to fix. I hope so!

Lola: You are sooo lucky to have such an awesome DH. I don't think mine would be quite so understanding unless we had been trying for 2-3 years. Glad to hear your dancers will we back and in full swing again. Can't wait to hear about the SA. My SIL's DH (hubby's brother) had a SA don't when they had been TTCing for 3 years and it came back not so good....they pretty much told him he needed to quit smoking because his sperm seemed to be taking a smoke break too!!! He tried to quit but never fully did and they got pg 3 months later when on a TTC break (from FF, opk, and htp tests) they were 8 wks pg before they tested and they have went on to have 2 more children since then all very close together in age....and her DH still smokes (not that I think that is good), but anyway.....maybe a break from all the stressful part of TTCing is good.
Glad to hear you are doing a little better....I am not the type to stay under a rock too long either :)

Thanks, ladies! My temps usually don't dip until the day before I get AF, which would be tomorrow, technically. I usually get AF on 14dpo (am 12dpo today). I'm having a few little cramps, so I bet it'll be here soon. I'm kinda over being bummed about it, but I do want to see if there is a sperm problem. WP, thanks for sharing that story! My DH smoked for a LONG time until I made him quite a few months ago (believe it or not, almost all dancers smoke!), and I've been stuffing him with sperm-boosting supps for many many months now, so hopefully they are ok. I think I'll have him do it on Friday, thinking I'll take another test in the morning, and if it's negative, I'll be pretty sure I'm out. Anyway, thanks again everyone. You all make me feel so much better!

Oh Lola, honey, I am sorry. I was really thinking this would be your month. I think you have a great attitude and a great plan going forward though.
My nurse called me this morning (after saying Friday that my numbers were fine) and my doctor wants to do an u/s on the 14th when I go for my first appt. I will only be about 6 weeks. Can they even see anything then? I didn't have an u/s with DD until 10 weeks. I've never had a vaginal u/s and I'm really nervous about it. I asked if the doctor thought something was wrong and the nurse was like, no we just want to do the u/s to see what's up. So now I'm going to be a nervous wreck until then. I swear, I kind of think that God/fate/the universe/whatever you believe in makes getting pregnant while swaying and swaying pregnancies more difficult sometimes so that we will appreciate what we have. I know now I'm just hoping this baby is healthy, regardless of gender. Though I'm already thinking it must be a boy because it is being so much trouble! My girl was no trouble whatsoever until the very end when I had pre-eclampsia. And this one is worrying me to death from the start!

September 6th, 2011, 12:40 PM
Tiffany- That's really odd they didn't say why. I would totally be calling back! Vaginal u/s's are no big deal and if they pushed it back a few days you'd see a heartbeat. Perhaps it's their policy to do a dating u/s at the first appointment or something.
Hobbermittens
September 6th, 2011, 01:19 PM
Tiffany, I agree, the vaginal u/s isn't any big deal--just weird because it looks like big dildo. They even put a condom on it! I bet if they were worried something was wrong, they would call you in sooner. But like Heather said, you could call back just to be sure.
LolaInLove
September 6th, 2011, 01:44 PM
Daisy, I agree with the others, the vag u/s is no biggie. I would call them back to ask why, tell them you are worried now. They certainly don't want worried pregnant women, so I'm sure they'll tell you something. It may be no big deal. I can only imagine with u/s numbers that it's something like wanting to see how MANY babies are in there or see if there is a developing yolk sac and fetal pole....I hope it's ok, and it probably is. Thanks for the hugs about me. (:
Hobbers, you can do 4 kids for sure! ELP is the big brood master, though....hopefully she can calm you down about it. Hey, she's still making em' too!

September 6th, 2011, 03:22 PM
Daisy ITA ... the 6 week u/s is really nothing to fret about; it has in my experience been routine with each of my pg's to have a "dating" scan at the 1st appt. At 6 weeks Lola is right, they will be looking for yolk sac/fetal pole, but probably no heartbeat yet. With DD1 I had the vag and it is not my fave thing in the world but doesn't hurt or anything ... my last 2 pg's my early scan has been abdominal and I definitely preferred that!
So Lola has DH booked the SA yet? I'm curious to know what that reveals. It's one of those weird situations where you almost hope they find something, but it is easily fixable, and BOOM then you get pg :-) Prob won't work out that way of course. I do have a friend who it was that situation though. Can't recall what it was with the DH, but after the SA they "fixed" something and literally the next month he knocked her up. So who knows. Best to do the test and see!
Tink what's your update?
WP are you just waiting to see if AF shows?
Getting excited for Flava and Hobber to have attempts :-)
I'm having a hard time finding time to pop on much lately so if I'm absent know I'm thinking of all of you! And I frequently read our thread on my phone but hate posting from there so I'll be in touch. I am on CD11 now, and I usually start today with my opks. I usually have a day or two of fade-ins before I get a positive, but today I got a positive! I guess that means I am going to O earlier this month? Normally I O on day 14 or 15, after 2 days of +opk. I am hoping today was my first day of +opk, but who knows, because I didn't test yesterday! I am guessing I will O a day early on day 13? Ugh, I hate that it changed this month--I was hoping for some consistency for my attempt next month!

Begonia: I remember building our house and all the work we put into picking everything out. It was a lot of fun, but most of the work for me started when I was 8-9 months preggo with DS2. DH, his brother (he has a company and this was their first house), and my oldest brother built our house....that was it....they subbed out the plumbing and hv/ac. I may have to dig up a photo of our house.

Begonia- We had our first day of preschool today too! She went there in the summer though as a practice run so while she did not want to get out of bed this morning (that starts at 3?! lol) she went in there happily. This is the first time I didn't walk her into the building, the teachers meet us at the car since there's little parking. She was totally confused poor thing but it was ok.
Lola- Gah, ss mama :( Here's hoping there's a slew of bfps in October (yours and mine included!).
Jane- SS about the tooth! I just made an appointment for a cleaning and after that will be the big wisdom teeth extraction. Soooo not looking forward to that. I have no idea how I'm going to manage the kidlets with DH working 24-7. But I have to do it before I get pg.
WP- Hoping for good news with your test!
ETA: Ah we posted at the same time, BFP mama!! Clearblue Easy digis are the best imo. The FRER ones are less sensitive.

Okay I have a minute before round 2 of school.....
Lola: :tissue:....I can not believe your BFN. Like Begonia said (she has such a way with words) at least it will be prime boy time. I wish I had some advice, I think destressing will do the most good. I knwo soooo many people that got pg while on a break or after giving up, keep you chin up. So, are you going to travel abroad to visit Kris and get and IVF?!?! Oh, you guys are in SC, right?
3pnb:Thanks for posting....not too long until you u/s!!! I love the baby flutters and then full on boat rockers.
Hobber: I have been drinking lemon water for months and months, it seemed to do a lot of good for me, but like Lola said.....it might not be too important. Tons of people have low phs and lots of boys.
Begonia: GL on the first day of preschool. Trust me, at the time I wish we had a builder.....way too much stress!!!
I know I missed someone.....
I am trying not to get too excited, it is so faint. I guess I normally test after I miss AF. I am not going to add the + test to FF until I have missed my period, another way I am trying to protect myself I guess. I have had a little bit of gagging while changing DD4 diaper the past couple days and my cottage cheese didn't taste normal yesterday (I even got the kids to test it). I really thought AF was coming early after the cramps this morning....but nothing.

WP!!!! I can see that BFP!!!!! :bluecheer: :running: :bluecheer:
YAY!!!!
I needed something to make me grin bc DD2 sobbed her little heart out at drop off. Aaaaaaaaaaargh. I held it together and smiled and told her I loved her and I'd be back soon, but as soon as I pulled away in the car I lost it. I promised DH I'd give it til Thanksgiving. My DD1 hated preschool at age 2 as well but loved it within 3 months so I am keeping my FX that DD1 loves it soon. If not I'll keep her home with me; she does great with babysitters so it's not like I can't get "time off" when I need it.
Heather I'm so glad your LO did well! We do a carpool lane too! There is parking and you have to walk in the under 2's, but 2 and over does carpool. I think it helps particularly with ones like my DD, b/c if I walked her in they would have literally had to peel her off of me and hold her back while I walked away ... this was MUCH easier for them to just unbuckle her out of her seat and cuddle her themselves. It's the sweetest school and I love it, I just hope she does too soon.
Hobber I forgot to comment, but I didn't bother with pH either. I just wasn't convinced it matters. But you have to do what YOU believe and if you want a high pH I think what seemed to work for more ladies was the BSD routine. I remember WLM drank hers not just AF-O but the whole month. She had a rockin' sway and did get a boy.
Had dinner last night with 3 of my friends, all of us have 2 of a kind, 2 of us have 2 girls, and 2 of us have 2 boys. Well one of my friends was talking about how she's SURE I'll have another girl because she "tried" with DS2 to get a girl (shettles book) and it didn't work, so she's convinced some people are just wired to get boys or get girls. I did not mention my sway nor do I plan to tell people even if it does "work" for us. Her comments didn't bother me but I can't wait to prove her wrong, LOL! And that is the ONE reason I wish I knew NOW what I'm having, so I could already be like, NOPE! Not true! Instead I have to wait til March. Boo for DH and his surprise!
But YAY YAY YAY for the BFP! Have you told DH yet??!? CONGRATS!!!!
OK off to volunteer at DD1's elementary school ... I am SO excited. This is my 1st time to be able to do that since DD2 hasn't had any school so I can't wait to get to meet some of her new little friends.

Hobbermittens- it's subtle it's definitely a tiny kick! I did everything to raise my pH, drinks, eat certain foods avoid certain foods, everything. Highest I ever got it was 5.5/6, I said screw it and stopped checking, I truly think diet is way more important!
B3blue- there's always drama on dh's side, our house is peaceful and drama free that's all I care about lol
Jane- sorry about the tooth, ouch! Glad your next attempt is right around the corner and I'm lovin the positive attitude
Lola- you are always welcome. I say stay on the clomid and make another attempt, can't hurt right?
Wp- I SEE IT, I DEFINITELY SEE IT! Woohoo!
B- sorry your little one is having so much trouble, but yay for helping in class! I love going in and meeting all their friends. Uh oh 14 weeks and the surprise is already killing you? You are in for a very looong pregnancy lol
Not much to report here, nesting has kicked in full swing so I'm going with it in hopes my house is spotless by the time the 3rd trimester sloth kicks in, yeah right lol I figure if it can get things into good shape now I can cruise through winter with little effort and a lot of big girl help.

Begonia, I still cry when I drop my girls off at elementary school. That's why I make DH do it. I have a vivid imagination and am supremely attached to them....probably a product of the divorce and my hating when they are at their dad's. I hope your DD2 ends up acclimating soon! It's nice for them to start that socialization and separating from Mommy, plus, will give you some good time to rest! I hope your friend is wrong too!!!!!!

Awww, Lola, it's sweet that your DH drops them off though. He really sounds like a great guy so no wonder you two feel the need to have a baby together. ITA that it is good for them learning some separation and socialization ... DH is probably the one who pushes it more than me (weird, since it is me who is home with them) but I do think it has some great benefits for the kids.
3PNB I know, right?!?! I have a long way to go before I get to know! I am REALLY hoping I will see something on the u/s that will tell me  Yay for nesting!!! It's a fun phase.
Seeing DD1 at school today was the BEST. She's loving it. I never thought she'd be so confident and comfortable in a new environment so quickly, so it is really fantastic for me to see her developing and maturing that way. In preschool if I came to a class party she would want to leave with me and not finish her day, but today, she just smiled and waved and intro'd her new buddies, then ran off to do her thing. Awesome!
AND you know what else is awesome?!?! WP's BFP! I want to hear what DH said!
Off to get DD2, hoping she had a great day in spite of the rough start....

hobber- I always had trouble with pH back on IG . Now I have no clue what happened (must be the different diet ans such) but I tested today and pH is 7.3 ! I never had this before so Im happy for it. I also started drinking ural and acw this cycle. Oh and just test the ewcm pH because creamy is always low.
Oh and forgot to say I brush teeth with BS after toothpaste at night.

Begonia: We go to a homechool co-op that gets together once a week for social skills and has some awesome classes that the kids love (like art and music, which I attempt, but don't have any natural skill). Anyway....we start Monday and DD4 is going to have some major seperation issues.....not looking forward to that, but it is only for 3 hours. Glad your DD1 is doing well, I am sure dd2 will follow.
Lola: If you go over seas for an IVF, would you please, plese sneak me in your suitcase ? :) I am only slightly over weight....I'll pay for the extra baggage fee :)
3pnb: Only 16 days!!!! Does that count today? Congrats on the nesting. I agree, get as much done as possible in the 1and2 tri. I always wait until the end to freeze meals, wash clothes, organize, etc.......big mistake. I think I have finally learned my lesson. I just can not help it, I always clean ligh fixtures when I am about 39 wks.
Thanks for all the congratulations!!!I am so glad you guys can see that line. I am still very nervous. I just hate that the line is so light. I won't be able to breathe a sign of relief until it gets darker.
I would love to tell Hubby with a digi test, we have never done one of those before. He called on his lunch break and I could barely keep it to myself. I figure that it will take a few days to get a + on one of those, right? At least he will be working, so I won't be too tempted to tell him.

Ok but when is my O day??
Im using CBEFM but the damn monitor don't give me peak days just high  same with the smiley test to late for O-2.
And yeah I can look at the test strips when I take them out but really it's not much help .The lines are not showing up on it like on a opk strip.

Begonia and b3blue--hope the first day of preschool went well!
Begonia, I think you are doing the building thing right, having someone else do it! It was such a huge stress on my relationship with DH (everything is fine now)... we fought so much during that time! Plus, some of the stuff still isn't finished, 4 years later (the kid's closets have no doors, etc). You know the saying about how the cobbler's children have no shoes...
I have been trying to get my pH up! Drinking more BSD today, and I even tried the COT drink. But it gave me the sh!ts.:suprise:

My Dr. had me go in every week for a couple of weeks to check on everything. They might just be able to see a black circle which would be the sac and they'll test your HCG levels again. The vaginal u/s is just like a penis really that they put into you vagina. It's no big deal. Your Dr. is just being cautious like mine was since my past history. I think it's a real blessing. They won't really measure till about the 9 week appt where you can hear the heartbeat.
I had them every week and now just want to go in again and see the baby. Its like a let down not seeing and hearing the heartbeat. I'm not that hungry lately and just want some re-assurance.

3PNB, that is so exciting! I am sorry you had some family crap, too. Always fun. Thanks for the encouragement, you are so sweet! I just hate this because I can't figure out how to fix it. I think we'll do the SA on Friday morning, so results take a few days. I can't decide if I want to stay on the Clomid or not in the meantime.
Hobbs, I don't do ph anymore either, but I do remember a lot of IG gals having trouble raising theirs also....I bet you remember that too. I'd say don't worry about it if it stresses you out. Ph isn't a big deal anymore, right? And about the day you O....it's all a crapshoot when you're swaying. That's my opinion, at least. Just start testing earlier next month and you'll be fine!
Jane, sorry about your tooth! I hope you feel better soon! I think my AF will come tomorrow also so we'll be on the same track next month.
My temp dropped and I got another bfn, it's 13dpo, so I'm out. I had cramps last night also. On to next month.....

When I took her in the summer I walked her in and the first day they literally had to peel her off of me. I found out she cried off and on for the entire time. The teacher was awesome and took her into the gym for one on one time to calm down. Then when everyone went outside she did fine so they didn't call me. I picked her up and she was crying again! Two days later she only cried a little. They made her the class helper which I think really did the trick. Two weeks later she was screaming in the car "I love school!! I miss Ms Angela!" and her teachers are telling me how great she does. It was definitely killer leaving her there but I just knew it was for her own good so we both had to push through it and the results have been amazing. Of course if she didn't change so fast I would have pulled her out asap.
Hugs about the opks, are you saying the strips don't work for you? Wondfos have been wonderful for me and so cheap.

We are eating mixed nuts every day but no walnuts in it. I go buy some today for sure hope it's still helps some from now till O!
Also I just talked to DH and we are going with the pre=seed not the EW.

Flava, do it girl!!!! ITA with WP, do it every other day. YAY!!!
Interesting thread from babydoc, we do take all of that, except for the Korean panax stuff....I did drop the DHEA though because of the Clomid.
Begonia, I bet you look cute! I like looking pg, then I get seats sooner and free cupcakes and stuff. LOL
So, check out my temp today! AND NO AF yet? I didn't test this morning (14dpo) but I don't have any spotting or anything yet, and I would have started today, even with the progesterone. I skipped my midday dose yesterday and today, although I took it last night, and still.....nothing yet. Idk. I don't want to get my hopes up, because I may open up like the red sea at any moment, but this is a bit unusual.

Begonia: I am so jealous of you....I want to start looking pregnant at 18-20 wks. Have you started eating 10 candy bars a day again?
I thought about trying to add some more exercise back into my daily activity in a couples months, have you ladies ever heard of "The Firm: Express" ? You only exercise 30 minutes a day and my friend has been doing it for about 5 wks and has seen major results. She also said it would be safe while preggo or postpartum (which she is). So Tink will you be thrilled or disappointed that you didn't get your sway on like you wanted? I hope you get the result you'll be most at peace with! I remember you saying it took forever to get a + with DD1 ... maybe call your doc next week though and get checked out?!?
WP, don't fret, the digi's are just not very sensitive. If you have a + you have a +. I'm sorry it is causing concern though!
Lola I'm all about slivers of hope so I'm still keeping FX ...
ELP I posted in your scan pic thread but CONGRATS!!!! That is a VERY good nub shot! And another great example of how 1 pic (the 2nd one in the very 1st set you posted) can lead to wrong guesses. Because now you have several that show very clearly a boyish nub!!! So exciting! So will you wait til delivery to confirm now?!?!
I'm wishing I had a good nub shot now  My wiggle worm was upside down thru the whole scan anyhow so it definitely did not want me to know.

I am so sorry to be a downer, but yesterday I took a FRER and it was neg....then right before DH comes home (I was going to tell him the good news) Af came full force and then some. I was at a loss to begin with, it was in the evening....all the children were in bed and it was so quiet.....just me crying on the tile bathroom floor. But like I said, I don't stay down long.....I am counting my enormous blessings.....an awesome DH, 6 children that I can love and hold anytime I want, and soooo many other things. The little bean just didn't hang on quite tight enough. The only thing DH said was "Well, it must have been a boy....they have a higher m/c rate, right?" I guess he has been listening as I pour out all this info to him. I just hope the nausea goes away completely by tomorrow....just a bad reminder....time to move on.
I had this happen once before, the month before conceiving DS1. I started to spot at 5wks and went to the ob...they assumed I was never preg and had imagined a line on my test....yeah come on, anyway long time ago.
Is there anything different I can do to help with implantation?

Oh WP!!! :( I'm so sorry for your loss!! It is devastating to get all excited and then have it crushed. I do know exactly what you're going through :( It seems to be going around a lot lately.
My doc told me to take a low dose baby aspirin once a day everyday. Supposed to help the uterine lining. Also I've increased my calcium/dairy intake significantly. I read somewhere (I'll have to look it up again) that you need adequate calcium intake to get pregnant and prevent m/c. I am officially off the boy diet this cycle and while I'm not really a dairy person typically, but that is why I've increased my dairy now. I'm at the point of wanting to get pregnant and not worrying about gender.

:hugs: WP. Dh does make an intriguing point there... regardless, I am so sorry for your loss  FX this is like the month before you got pg with your DS1 and you have a nice, sticky blue bean soon.
Alexis, FX for you! Keep us posted. FWIW I believe full fat dairy should be very much a part of the blue sway. The Oxford study showed more boys born to the women with a high intake of calcium. And full fat dairy is excellent for fertility. I think overall it is great that you added it in.
Flava it's funny isn't it, because like you I'd LOVE the surprise! But getting there is HARD! And I agree ... if I knew it was a boy, I'd have such fun getting a room ready for him. But ... if it is a girl, it will be so sweet holding her in my arms on her birthday. I just wish I coulda gotten a great nub shot so I at least had a hint to hope on, ELP's has made me all kinds of envious  Envy about the nub shot, not the boy, I'm super happy for you ELP!
Honestly I can see why Babydes backed off the forum because it can make you think MORE about gender than you otherwise would. I am sure if I wasn't hanging out here I'd be less obsessed.... but I'm too invested in all the gals here to leave!

Alexis, I think your plan sounds good. Lots of people are doing the full-fat dairy.
Has anyone had any issues with hair loss after starting all the supps? My hair is falling out like CRAZY!! I can't think of what else could be causing it. It fell out after the baby was born, but then seemed to get better. Now it is bad again.
Also, a question about DHEA. Who is taking it? Is it good for the boy sway, or just good for fertility? I got some, but haven't taken it yet because of the scary warning on the back about causing facial hair and hair loss (which I am already having without taking the DHEA!!!)

No I don't think it is. The kind I have is Bayer Low Dose "Baby" aspirin. It is 81mg and I take one per day. My OB said lots of women take this to help the uterine lining get ready for implantation. I found it at Walmart on the aisle with Tylenol and Advil.

Glad it worked out OK! And that is fab about the full moon for you tomorrow! I didn't take fertile CM so have no real clue on it ... I would expect though that yes it can delay O since it does contain L'arg, and I know that for sure can delay it. Is this the 1st month you have tried it?
Tink KUP. Did you call your doc?

begonia- last month O was on CD 14 but I only took 2 fertile cm not 3 like now. Also looks like my O is on a different day every month so Im not sure. Oh well I just hope if it's not tomorrow the is after that and not later.
And I thought I will O early haha

Tink, I always get clots with AF, and I never realized it wasn't "normal". But if you are worried, ask your Dr, maybe?
Lola, Sorry for AF!! :(
Begonia, glad you aren't going anywhere. We like having you around! :)
Flava, did you see the post on the Harvest moon?? I think you will O that day--Woo hoo!! Fertile CM didn't make my cycle too long. I took it 3x a day this month after AF, and I O'ed on Day 12, when I normally do 14-16! Weird?

Well at least it's full moon tonight and from now on so that's good! And we have another try tonight:p

But the bio chart is all girl !

Funny about this bio chart if you look at charts that show the whole month it's all red.But there are charts that shows day by day and the you got all the colors every day.
So I guess I don't care about biorhythm.

Flava-I may be Oing today/tomorrow as well! Hope this full moon/solar flares are good for both of us to get our BLUE BFP!!!
So, I got my +opk this morning at 10am and a temp drop. Hoping today is my O day! We dtd yesterday morning, will tonight, and (depending on temp tomorrow morning) will tomorrow night too! Yay!
Question: anyone ever get only one +opk and have that be on O day? I'm just curious with my opk today AND my temp drop (at my usual O temp). Usually my opk is + for one or two days before O? I guess I'll know for sure tomorrow with whatever my temp is!

Hey gals, had a really busy weekend and could barely pop on.
WP, I am so sorry about the chemical, honey. It sucks and I hate how it gets your hopes up for a few days. I hope you are doing ok, girl. xxxxxxxoooooooo
Flava, hope your bding has gone well and you are feeling confident about your try!
Tink, did you get any answers about your crazy AF? I would also recommend taking the baby aspirin in the 2ww if that is the case. My doc has had me on that in the 2ww for a while. I have a very un-clotty AF now myself. So, trying soon eh?
How's everyone else doing?
So yea, I had AF come on Saturday, it was not cool. I am fine, just each month that goes on makes me slip deeper into a WTF/hopeless mentality. But, DH did the SA this morning, so we'll have the results on Friday I think. And poor guy, right when he was about to get it done after I left for work, I got a call from DD2's teacher saying she barfed all over the place and he had to go get her (he's off on Mondays), so he had to do his "business" while she was there watching tv and go with him to drop it at the lab. I am sure he just loved toting a little carton of jizz around while with her. LOL
And I'm on Clomid round 3 now, starting today. Let the hot flashes begin again. Know what is weird though, some mom at the studio asked me if I was pg yesterday, and I told her no, but I was on a "fertility" diet that is making me gain weight. She goes on to tell me that she has two teenage kids, and then had 5 m/c and ttc for like 4 years in between, and then she got pg when they weren't trying and had dropped the Clomid and were really giving up, and then got pg AGAIN the month after she was born!!! There girls are 10 months apart, crazy huh? Anyway, she didn't give me the whole "just stop trying and relax" bullcrap, but just said that you never know when it will happen, but if you give up, you have no chance. She made me feel better.
Anyway, I am busier than a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest at work now, so I will try to stay up with everyone when I check in in the morning!!!

I checked out your chart....I think you gotta wait and see what your temp is like tomorrow. Sometimes the O day temp is a slight bit higher than the drop. Mine usually drops the day before I O, and then is like midrange on O day. But, you are dtd plenty, so you'll cover it! I wouldn't worry about it too much. GL!!!!

WOW Alexis this is so cool!!! I did not get a +opk yet but have a very small temp drop today. I will test tonight again so we see if I get one. I feel like Im testing forever here! Look at my chart lol and because it's the monitor and the smiley test it's a lot's of $ !:sigh: but I just can't read the cheap test strips.
I looked back my charts and I get a + before O day and a peak on the monitor .

Im also having small O pains for 3 days now.:sigh: Dont know what kind of O is this but I sure hope it's comes tomorrow or latest after that.
I guess the BD on CD 11 don't even matter because it's at least 6 days before O or more. Right?
We do every other day so if cd11 is out the this will be second bd tonight.
IF I O tomorrow I would love to try again but I scared of low sperm count if we do only 24 hours apart. We need 24 right??
Ummm sorry if I post too much about my problems here! Im just so nervous and scared and would love to have some help.

You know, I like her ... even if she did ask if you were pg, I forgive that bc she does make an excellent point. KUP on DH, poor fella ... and poor DD! Hope you all stay well and she feels better soon!
Flava you keep posting, whatever gets you through! It is super stressful to finally have an attempt after planning it for months, I know. FX you get your BFP this month with all you have going for you! I would say 24 hours apart is a minimum for waiting it out, yes ... my 2x were 24 hours apart... though ELP, didn't you do an am and pm bd? I think so. And I agree that the BD on CD11 is unlikely to be the swimmer that gets you pg! Just keep checking those OPK and keep us posted!
Yay for that OPK Alexis! I normally get 2 days but oddly enough the cycle I got pg was when I got only one ... +opk at 2pm and 6pm, -opk the next am. I'm pretty sure I o'd overnight.

Flava, how awesome that you will O during the full moon AND an Aries moon! Good luck tonight!
Lola, it is nice when people say things that are reassuring... especially when they have been through what you are going through. So don't give up hope! Oh and I hope your DD feels better soon, and keep us posted on the SA! Poor DH having to do his business with DD in the next room... that would be less than relaxing!
Alexis, good luck with your attempt!
Can someone tell me more about the moon? Is it boy territory from full moon on, or leading up to the full moon?

Thanks, Hobber. I know, poor DH. He was not that excited about the SA in the first place. You know you can't use any lube to help out there....I can imagine it's not nearly as easy or fun to do it "dry," kwim!
About the moon, I think it is the whole phase, which started last night and lasts till the 26th. You know you are a huge nerd swayer when you have a moon phase app on your phone.

Well, It appears I will O next month in the Waxing moon (from new moon until full moon) which I think is a girl phase, right?:sigh: So annoying. The only thing that makes me feel better is, I looked up when I conceived my son, and it was the same phase. Plus I *think* he was conceived in a pisces (female) moon as well (not totally sure, because I can't find my charts from that time).
There are too many factors!!!!!! Why can't we just take a magic pill and get the gender we want?!?!?!?
p.s. if I had a phone that had apps, I would totally get the moon one!!
