I am so excited for everyone's scans.....big FX all the bubs are healthy and perfect, and can't wait to see pics!!!

As for me, I'm starting with the ups and downs now. I think my initial reaction was to not let myself fall into despair, but now reality and lots of other thoughts are creeping in. There are times that I think I should prepare to not ever have another kid so I don't live in this weird purgatory of hope/despair/crazy. My folks said the same thing a lot of you did, which was wondering how I got pg twice with a count in no man's land like that, so that does give me some hope. I don't see many natural success stories with it that low. I just HATE the thought of having to get baby-poor at this point in our lives....it just doesn't seem to make sense. If we pay all this money and have one, then what are we supposed to do when we are strapped as all get out after that for years? Oh, and I must mention that I'm taking the estradiol now, the estrogen supplement which is supposed to work well with CLomid, which seems kinda pointless, but I figured I'd try it. Def makes me hormonal, duh!

Gonna be an exciting week, though! I am so grateful I have this site and forum and all of you to keep me happy and distracted and hopeful!!!!!!

Lol-a I saw a baby story on TV there was this man and they find out he got zero sperm! Then he had to do some treatments I don't know what and after that he got 6 sperm! Only 6!
They did iui or ivf sorry i don't remember and got pregnant first try and got a baby!
So 2 million is a way lot better! I really hope you get a bfp again just like that!!

Lola, I have been wondering if maybe you should do a second SA. I mean, he has gotten you pregnant several times and if their numbers are right then that really shouldn't have happened, right? Who knows if they even got it right.

I know a woman who ttc'd for a while and then got her DH's sperm tested and the morphology was horrible. They pretty much told them, it's IVF or nothing. Well, she cried and was miserable and depressed and everything else because they couldn't afford it. They just kept on dtd like normal and were trying to get a plan together....yeah, she got pregnant. The doctors basically told them there was no way. Well, that baby was born in 2003 and is now the oldest of FIVE kids they've had. So sometimes doctors don't know crap! Your DH OBVIOUSLY CAN get you pregnant so I don't think you should be giving up hope. Not at all.

Nah not this month this is first AF since coming off pill may try next month but may also wait till Nov or Dec.

Lola- I have no doubt I'll be enormous by the time this is over lol I'm excited and kinda numb about the u/s, I really want to know and really don't all at the same time if that makes any sense.

Daisy- love that story! I'm always amazed at how wrong dr's can be. I was told I would have trouble conceiving due to my tilted uterus and tiny cervix, well jokes on them 5 of my 6 pregnancies have been ohw.

Had my NT scan done today, all went well except for my blood test last week. They messed that up and only tested me for diseases and left out the 1st trimester screening. I had another blood test today but all looks good so i'm expecting good results. Anyway here are a few pics :) got to see the baby in 4D which was amazing. They just rotate the image so you can see every angle of the baby. I did ask about gender but she said it was a bit too soon so i will have to wait a bit longer!

We decided yesterday not to ttc anymore. Maybe 1 more in Oct. but may not even that.
DH is worried about work, money, and renting with 5 kids if we have to move out ect ect.
I just wish he told me this before I put on this 20lbs ! It will be hard to loose it again for sure.
But I know somewhere he is right...
Anyway that am I doing here ? I already had 2 sway and it did not worked. So who am I kidding?
I wish everyone get a blue bfp ! I hang out till AF due and then say goodbye.

Just to add it's 5dpo and Im trying to stop the HE diet(wanted to go till AF just to see if bfn but no point now)
but it's hard because I still damn hungry all the time now!

Aww, Flava, I'm sorry! You never know - you could get a bfp in a few days here and then it would be very obvious this baby is a little miracle. Keep your chin up! =)

Flava! I am so sad to read this! I understand if that is the best decision for your family, but we will miss you!!!! Anyway, if you are not pg this time, and you decide to TTC one more time in Oct., we can be TTC buddies! I was really hoping to have you around for that.

AWWWW, we will miss you, but I totally understand! I don't think you should give up on the hope that a sway will work, but I know what you mean if you don't want 5 kids. I could definitely not afford 5 kids at all, probably not even 4. Well, as long as you are hanging out until AF, that gives us some time to still chat with you.

Sorry I have been so out of the loop ladies - I just read through the entire Sept. thread but know I can't do everyone justice.

(((hugs))) to the ladies with loses and chemicals this month.

A couple of personals:

Flava - if you are using a monitor and OPK's I would use the monitor in the morning and use the OPK's in the evening. That way if you get a High on the monitor in the morning, you will have a chance to catch a LH surge that happens later in the day. If you hold your urine throughout the afternoon it will make it nice and concentrated for the evening and you might get a smiley then :)

This may be irrelevent since you are taking a TTC pause, but just so you know another option if you try another cycle :)

To me it looks like you O'd on the 14th - maybe later in the day or that night. Your temp looks like a classic ovulation dip, and the +OPK's are good sighns for a later-in-the-day ovulation. The fertility monitor gives you two peak days and an automatic high after the second peak when it detects the LH surge starting. So I think that lines up on your chart, too.


Lola - girl I am so sorry to hear about your DH's numbers. I would be encouraged, though, that you have gotten pg even if you haven't carried to term, in the past year. I think there is hope for you! Is your DH getting in plenty of fat. I'm going to sound like my normal broken record self, but I really do think that low fat = low fertility for both men and women! It makes it almost impossible for his body to use the good nutrients in his supps if he's not getting enough! My DH was able up fat and cut carbs and still lose weight, and his testosterone levels have increased (don't know about swimmer counts though)

and 3PNB - don't you go anywhere, you're so encouraging in the TTC threads!

AFM: I've been MIA lol, I haven't even been keeping up with my blog well. Working on stripping and repaint our house is a HUGE project, plus starting up school again (we homeschool) and keeping up with my website work has kept me super-busy.

Honor is almost 4 months old - I can't believe it!! She is gradually getting less fussy but still wants me to hold her all the time. She takes a good morning nap and that is about it right now! She sleeps well at night once I get her to sleep but lately has been really clingy in the evenings. By the end of the day I feel little "touched out" but I know that it's only for a little while. It helps me re: TTC though because I'm certainly content to wait awhile for another baby!

On that note I am finally losing weight. AMEN! Got a ways to go toward my goal but it's coming off and I can really feel the difference :)

I also decided to pull the fertility monitor out and use the Marquette Breastfeeding Protocol (http://nfp.marquette.edu/sc_breastfeed_monitor.php) for NFP while nursing. I haven't had any signs of cycling since that heavy bleed I had when Honor was 11 weeks, so I'm not sure if my body is cycling or if that was just from moving furniture and overdoing things. Anyways, I'm kind of enjoying charting and monitoring even if I'm not having regular cycles yet b/c I feel more in tune with my body and will be ready when my cycles return to normal.

Again ladies I am so excited to see the attempts and scans coming up. So many people are finally getting to their TTC months and that's so exciting!

Thanks, Skrimpy! My DH has been eating a general fertility diet along with me, with lots of avocados, full fat dairy, protein and the like, so I think he's probably good on diet. But a question for you, since you are a bit of a guru here :wink::

What kind of bd pattern should we do? Every day, every other day, do it tonight (CD10) and then on Ov day (should be CD13)? We got the other bfps with daily- actually a O-3, O-1, O pattern both times. But now I'm worried that it will make his low count even worse? I mean, both times they were not viable.

Yes it is very hard to do everything alone, never go out and have no time alone with DH , and not much money ect. Sometimes I wish we have friend and family around but we have no one.

You just have to have hope that everything will work out. I agree with the whole debt thing, but if that is what would really make you guys at peace, then maybe IVF/debt is the answer. I think you will get pregnant and not have to think about it, though. If you got pregnant twice before....I am sure that his spermies got up there more times than that, but it just didn't fertilize. Anyway....glad to still see you here. Was your O delayed after you chemical?

Kris: I would love a 4D u/s....those are sooo neat. That pic is amazing.

I am so excited to see the other u/s this week!!! I wasn't going to come on Thur, but I just have to know 3pnb sex before we go camping!!!!


Not much going on with me.....CDwhatever....waiting to O. I only have 2 opks. I am not sure if I am going to buy anymore, but then I think I need to temp.....and camping in 50 degree weather is probably going to change my temps....blah, blah, blah. So, that's the run down of how I feel about this cycle.

Has anyone hear of or tried the Soy iso...whatever? I have heard lots of good things about it.

I think you should bd every other day - that's what's usually recommended for lower sperm counts. What kind of monitoring are you doing? You could decide to bd every other day leading up to your O day, then BD on your two highest fertility days - so days 12 and 13, or just make sure you start your BD'ing so you know you will BD on CD 13. That's probably what I would choose to do.

Maybe BD on day 11 & 13. I would say 9, 11, and 13 but we BD'd on CD9 and then I O'd on CD 13 and got Honor! Love her to pieces but she's not exactly blue, lol!

I'm not sure though, if regular BD'ing every other day will increase his counts. If that were the case it may be worth it to go ahead and BD at a more traditional "girl timing" of CD 9. And that may be OK too, since you're not doing a cutoff like you would for a girl (and like we did b/c we were TTA and I didn't think I'd get pg lol). I will look into it some more b/c it's a good thing to know :)

I hope the good diet and the supps you're starting DH on will help. Has anything changed with his work/hobbies that may be influencing his counts?

Thank you, Skrimpy! He hasn't changed much....and has been on a bunch of good sperm supps for months now- like 6-12 months for most of them. That low level is labeled online as SEVERE, yet he has knocked me up before.....I will get the full report in the mail any day now, but the nurse did feel the need to call and tell me the count since it was so bad.

I am liking the idea of dtd tonight (CD10) and then waiting until O day (CD13) for the next one. That is a good 3 day supply and kinda along the old lines of thinking for upping sperm counts.

Also, we may do another SA at some point soon just to get a baseline.....could have been a fluke, could be he has an infection, who knows. The full report will tell more about that.

For reals. I was thinking this weekend that a second SA seems like a reasonable investment of your $ and resources. How long did he abstain before he gave that sample? Because it really is crazy that if his count is TRULY that low that he's been pretty good with getting you pg before. It just doesn't make sense.

Flava, thank heavens you'll still pop on if you don't get your BFP this month... I can't imagine you just leaving now, you're part of the GD crew! Not even just blue team, there are so many pink swayers on this site that I know would miss you too. It'd be so sad if you just left! I still miss MFC and was happy to see her pop on some with ELP's scan. Anyhow, I hope that whatever happens this month, BFP or BFN, you feel peace about it. The whole should-we-shouldn't-we TTC decision is such a hard one!

Tink, I'm a BIG believer in DTD more than 1x for TTC boy. I think 48 hours apart is ideal and if you will O 13/14, then yes, I'd BD tonight (CD11) and again on CD13. Didn't you and DH DTD only 1x for DD? I seem to remember that but could be thinking of someone else.

Jen I completely, 100% get how you both DO and DON'T want to know. Obviously ... if it's a boy ... you DO want to know! But if it's a girl ... well, maybe better off waiting til delivery. At least that is where I sit with it myself. FX this is the boy you've been hoping for!

WP I think you asked about Soy? I tried it once long ago, on a cycle we weren't TTC, just to see what it did to/for me. Nothing. Didn't change my O day (it can REALLY mess with your cycle) and didn't increase my CM. I know a girl on IG who had great success (delayed O, but LOADS of CM, and a boy conception) with it. I also know Alexis tried it here one cycle and gave mixed reviews; I think she had no noticeable change. And I'm pretty sure Atomic is not a fan of it for TTC boy.

I know I'm leaving people out and I'm sorry! I've been all over town the past 3 days trying to get house decisions made and it is taking every minute of my day, and just about all of my brain capacity, LOL ... I don't like decision making and I've had to make like, 347. Super fun stuff but still, it takes a lot of a pregnant woman's energy!

OH and I am finally getting an almost-pregnant looking belly! Still look just fat to strangers though, LOL! I'll try to post a pic in the next day or two.

Lola, have you thought about doing clomid with IUI. it cost mucchh less then ivf and the sperms are placed right in the uterus.

I'll catch up later I just wanted to post this pic. If any body shatters the carrying theory this is it. This lower then low belly produced a gorgeous baby girl.

It looks like she had a perfect watermelon belly which I find throw the carrying rules. The watermelon bellies can go either way but more girl from my experience. I can't tell nub shots but I think I got the carrying thing down pretty good.

Kris, do you know if they are changing your due date? How is your partner and all the kids getting along w/ the pregnancy. I'm sure everyone is excited! So great seeing that baby move, huh!

Yes they did change my due date to March 30th. My very first appt they said it was April 1st but I knew it was 2 days earlier than that as I ovulated 2 days early. My partner is over the moon, she can't stop talking about how cute the baby is! It was cute though, was holding onto the umbilical cord then was snuggling into my placenta with it's little butt in the air. The kids are doing well with it, they're getting excited as seeing the photos made it more real for them.
I actually got 50 photos and 8 videos so we have a lot to look at!!
I hope your NT scan goes well and you get some great shots of your little bubba too! Can't wait to see them!

No not yet but I will post them in there. I got like 50 photos but I can't see any good ones of the genital area. I will be getting another 4D scan in a few weeks to find out for sure if it's a boy or girl :)

We decided yesterday not to ttc anymore. Maybe 1 more in Oct. but may not even that.
DH is worried about work, money, and renting with 5 kids if we have to move out ect ect.
I just wish he told me this before I put on this 20lbs ! It will be hard to loose it again for sure.

Thank you, Skrimpy! He hasn't changed much....and has been on a bunch of good sperm supps for months now- like 6-12 months for most of them. That low level is labeled online as SEVERE, yet he has knocked me up before.....I will get the full report in the mail any day now, but the nurse did feel the need to call and tell me the count since it was so bad.

I am liking the idea of dtd tonight (CD10) and then waiting until O day (CD13) for the next one. That is a good 3 day supply and kinda along the old lines of thinking for upping sperm counts.

Also, we may do another SA at some point soon just to get a baseline.....could have been a fluke, could be he has an infection, who knows. The full report will tell more about that.

I think another analysis is a good idea at some point too :). I also like your BD plan - I know that regular BD but not every day is supposed to help boost counts and keep fresh, healthy swimmers ready to go!

Lola, have you thought about doing clomid with IUI. it cost mucchh less then ivf and the sperms are placed right in the uterus.
just a suggestion, i am sure you must have looked into it.

I agree too, we are not even near swaying but our supps right now are costly - several for DH to help with weight loss / muscle gain, and several for me with nursing Honor and extra B vitamins to keep the baby blues away. DH must have soy- free supps, too which I found surprisingly hard to find in a multi! In the end I think the cost is worth it if the supplements are high quality.

Yes, they would only tell me the count part over the phone, but the whole thing is coming in the mail. Apparently it is entered into some database, and the clinicians enter the findings one by one or something. I asked what the motility was, and she said that info "wasn't entered yet." I will certainly let you all know once I get it. Hopefully will be today.

It could very well have been a fluke. I had his release 48 hours earlier so they were fresh, which is actually what they recommended- 2 to 3 days abstinence. I am also wondering if the "excitement" level adds to the sample, ya know? He had to do it without any lube or anything, totally dry, and make sure it all went into the tiny little cup.....and our DD2 had just barfed at school and he had to get her and then put her in front of the tv while he did his business, then take her with him to deliver it to the lab right away. Probably not the best of circumstances, but I figured a sample is a sample. Now I'm wondering if he could, um, shoot a better one under different circumstances, like if we are having a rollicking good time in the sack, kwim?

I need to find it, but it does say there is a SIGNIFICANT difference in sperm count from actual intercourse and ... um, imaginary ;). I will look for that later today when I might have more time. Anyhow I'm sure it's hard to have the hope this cycle, but we've said it a million times lately ...He HAS gotten you pregnant before ... there is NO reason that this cycle couldn't be another time. So personally I'm going to keep hoping for THIS month to be your month :)

Holy crap 3 more days! I'm trying to keep myself busy and distracted but it's so hard. I keep thinking in a few days I'll either be elated or disappointed, not terribly disappointed but still. DD is holding strong that it's a boy, this makes keeping my hopes under control extra hard. I almost want to find out just to be put out of my misery lol

As far as the belly theory, I think it all has to do with your muscle tone. I carried low with #1 (girl) and then progressively lower each pregnancy. My 3rd was ridiculously. My belly was HANGING. EVERYONE told me I was having a boy. And she was a girl.

Okay, so AF arrived today. That means I will probably O around Oct. 4-5. I am afraid to TTC this cycle, though, because we had gone to the hot springs back in July, and those sperm will still be forming until Oct 2. So if I want to avoid the hot springs sperm, I need to wait until Oct 3, I think? But that doesn't leave me many days if I wanted to do it for several times leading up to O. UGH! I am so frustrated with my cycle! If I hadn't O'ed early last month, I would have been in the clear!:hair:

Would you guys TTC anyway? I guess I have to see when I get my first +opk. I hope that I O late this cycle!!!!

If his sperm will be hot-springs-free 2-3 days before O then I think you're good to go though. Saw the thread you posted for Atomic so we'll see what our resident expert has to say. I think you BD every day thru O for your DS right? So are you going to do that this time around too?

Yes, I DTD every day for 6 days in a row when we got pg with my DS. We are going to DTD this time every other day or so leading up to O, but I don't want to do that with the hot springs sperm. I am just so mad that I O'ed early last cycle--it screwed everything up! I don't want to miss conceiving in Oct. because it is the "Magic Boy Month". If I can delay my O somehow, and O a few days later, things would be so much better! But if my cycle stays short, there is a chance that I will O twice this month, but I can't totally rely on that. My cycle is so screwey!

Hey Begoina! I'm still swaying and taking clomid to regulate/help my cycle , I didn't drop any supp's but reduced the nasty drinks, lol.

Can't wait to see your belly pic. And did you choose not to find out baby's gender until delivery day? That would be so cool. I will do the same when I get pregnant :)

Hey Hobber! Try some boy supp's to make your cycle longer? Like EPO, FertileCM, etc. these supp's made my cycle longer, but if you feel worried or anxious then I would recommend that you wait. GL on whatever you decide.

The clomid is giving me bad headaches :( what about you?

Yea, it gives me headaches, hot flashes, and makes me SUPER emotional! And I took Estradiol this cycle as well, it's an estrogen supplement that a very cool new member who is an RE recommended I try, and that made me even more emotional. I'm like a huge estrogen monster right now! But watch your cycle closely with opks, because the Clomid makes me O like clockwork on CD13, both months before. This month may be different with the Estradiol....I got a near + opk late yesterday (CD11) which is a day early, but I am thinking they will be way positive today, CD12, like clockwork, and we will have a nice 3 day abstinence which will hopefully help. I don't think I'm going to continue the Clomid, though....no point, really, especially since we may take years to conceive at this point.

Hobber, I wouldn't worry at all about the hot springs thing. If you guys dtd for 6 days in a row and got a boy, he's got a good sperm count (LUCKY!) so don't worry about it! Was quite a while ago also...I wouldn't get in the hot springs while you were doing it, but otherwise, its no big deal. I truly believe you will be just fine!

I dont know why I had so many ewcm days this month. I even had it for like 2 days after O. And I had this never ending O.This cycle was just different. O was late too...I think from the fertile cm.
Yes we did try but no bd on O day (by accident) only 4 and 2 days before. so well see...DH says to stop ttc...or if yes just 1 more try and that's it.

I agree with Flava Hobber, I can't believe the springs 72 days ago could have done that much damage! But the BD plan sounds good. I don't know that October is really "magic" LOL ... I mean I do think seasons sway somewhat, but not a ton. I have loads of friends with summer girls. Heck, I'm a summer girl :) Either way I just hope everything lines up so you can feel confident in your sway!

MFC I don't know about the not finding out! DH is adamant about it, because he's always wanted a surprise, from before we ever even had our 1st child. And I've always wanted to know, and I've always won that ;) But I want to give him his surprise this time. And for awhile I thought a surprise would be better for me bc I was so concerned about having GD if I heard "girl" before delivery ... but now I actually think I'll be fine, not as thrilled as hearing boy, but really not at all upset if I hear girl. So part of me just wants to know now. In my ideal world the sono or my doc will mess up and spill the beans, and then I get to find out without it being my fault ;)

I don't understand the life cycle of the sperm is all. I am just not sure I want to take a chance on using sperm that may have been damaged by so much heat. I know they aren't all dead, but I worry that they won't be quite right. We don't usually go hot tubbing or to the hot sprongs--this was a one time deal--so I sort of feel inclined to wait it out. But I know, it is always goin to be SOMETHING, and I am getting old, and it is "boy season" so I need to get on this TTC thing! I will see what the opks say as the cycle goes on. Maybe it will work out. I have been taking supps, but I think the Fertile CM and EPO together were what made my cycle so short! I will pick one and just stick with it for next cycle.

Thank you! I'm feeling OK. I'm really ready to get my energy & appetite back. Other than that, things are going well.

Yes they did change my due date to March 30th. My very first appt they said it was April 1st but I knew it was 2 days earlier than that as I ovulated 2 days early. My partner is over the moon, she can't stop talking about how cute the baby is! It was cute though, was holding onto the umbilical cord then was snuggling into my placenta with it's little butt in the air. The kids are doing well with it, they're getting excited as seeing the photos made it more real for them.
I actually got 50 photos and 8 videos so we have a lot to look at!!
I hope your NT scan goes well and you get some great shots of your little bubba too! Can't wait to see them!

Holding the umbilical cord made me smile. that is so cute! All the pics and videos are amazing! Is your partner currently attempting. This is so fun for your family and I'm so glad things are going so well. Just a couple weeks to go to find out what it is. Yay!

Sorry for not updating last night. The U/S went well and the baby looks good which I'm elated about.

As for the nub shot, the tech was great about it and really tried, but if you can believe it, the baby had the legs crossed with the umbilical cord in between the legs. Apparently God said no way to a nub shot this time.

November 1st seems like a life time away for my next U/S. At 1st I thought maybe she couldn't tell cuz she didn't see anything, like, it was most likely a girl since no pee pee but it was cuz the legs and cord so I felt much better. The bpm was also 163 so I kinda freaked out that it was fast but I know darn well that OWT is crap and my prego sister w/ a boy had a fast 1 too so I feel better. I know for sure I'll freak out if it's a girl for a day or two but I think I'll be OK. It was great seeing the baby move around with life. Very excited!

My due date is changed back to the 26th like I thought it was so I feel good about that too.

That reminds me! I was going to take a belly pic today :) I need to be better about that; I have 1 or 2 from each of my previous pregnancies and that is it. And I did decide that I am for sure having an elective u/s, not to find out gender, but bc I realized I don't have video of any of my babies in the womb and I want that for at least one. My doc's office doesn't provide it so I'm going to do a private one later.

Girls are supposed to be high and around your middle (wider) and boys are low and straighter out. I'm carrying like my boys now but I also have the same fat tummy from before that I have't had during my other pregnancies so I'll have to wait it out. I still could never keep wearing my regular jeans you little brat! :)

I need to take tummy shots too. good point. We were allowed to bring our video camera into the u/s and have taped ours that way. We don't get videos either. got some cute pics but will have to figure out how the upload them to you guys. I will need a scanner to scan them all inn. Maybe my MIL can help me on Thurs.

iluv-we are not taking a break we stop and no more babys if we stop now.DH said maybe 1 more try next month. I told him make up his mind. So now I still diet and exercise.

I guess I just think a lot can happen and things can change. Stopping forever is a hard pill to swallow. DH says this is it for us which is probably the right move but it will suck and if he gets a snip snip I'm going to be a mess. I cried when I got my IUD put in but it fell out so that worked. :) I forget, are you over 35 like me? I thought we were both done after DS1 but things changed. My SIL was done too and had 1 more. Of coarse her DH is snipped now so they are for sure.

Hobb, I've already stopped actually taking the Clomid this month (you only take 5 pills from CD3-7), but I think I'm going to just go natural from now on.

Another timing question now: I just got a big fat +opk....although it was darn near positive last night, it is way way darker than the control line today. I bet I will ovulate sometime tomorrow morning, maybe tonight, I don't know since I'm taking this estrogen....I have a feeling it's making me O differently, maybe sooner or stronger, I can't tell yet. I'm worried that if we dtd tomorrow night, I will have missed the egg.....what do you guys think, dtd tonight and tomorrow night and pool me with sperm, even if it's only a few million, lol, or wait till tomorrow night?

Lola: I got an almost positive opk today....I am sooooo hoping I O before we leave for camping. But, the past couple months I have Oed on CD17 and 18, so think it may be a little early. I think it will all come down to a final choice at the U/S appt. for you. Who knows, DH might change his mind. Some tears on your part couldn't hurt either. J/K I wouldn't condone manipulation. :) That will be tough not to find out. I can't wait. If that is going to be your last u/s then all you have to do is pass 1 u/s and then you don't have a choice and it will be easier. If you expect to have several U/S's that would be tougher. I'm not a good influence though, I want everyone to always find out. :)

That sounds likea good comprimise and maybe the tech will write it down for you. Will DH go for that? I'm sure DH might be able to tell the results by your tears of joy or the other kinds of tears. :) Maybe he could leave for the weekend and give you time to adjust.

hi all,just thought id keep you updated.well im cycle day 13 and i have a sneaking suspicion i o'd a few days ago,just cos i was getting quite a bit of cm etc but as it was a bit earlier than usual,i stupidly didnt do an opk:mad:im using the smileys.does anyone know if the lines on them (when you take the stick out)are anything to go by because when i started them yesterday,the line was darker and now its still there but lighter!!!:hair: i usually get a smiley on day 14(tomorrow) and o on 15 but worried since my chemical,i may be out of whack! i may just be over thinking,not really sure.anyway,i'll take them tomorrow and let you know.

Yes, they would only tell me the count part over the phone, but the whole thing is coming in the mail. Apparently it is entered into some database, and the clinicians enter the findings one by one or something. I asked what the motility was, and she said that info "wasn't entered yet." I will certainly let you all know once I get it. Hopefully will be today.

It could very well have been a fluke. I had his release 48 hours earlier so they were fresh, which is actually what they recommended- 2 to 3 days abstinence. I am also wondering if the "excitement" level adds to the sample, ya know? He had to do it without any lube or anything, totally dry, and make sure it all went into the tiny little cup.....and our DD2 had just barfed at school and he had to get her and then put her in front of the tv while he did his business, then take her with him to deliver it to the lab right away. Probably not the best of circumstances, but I figured a sample is a sample. Now I'm wondering if he could, um, shoot a better one under different circumstances, like if we are having a rollicking good time in the sack, kwim?

TMI but I do agree with you on this one! When I have given DH a helping hand, lol, a few times I have noticed that there has been wayyy more than other times!!

Holding the umbilical cord made me smile. that is so cute! All the pics and videos are amazing! Is your partner currently attempting. This is so fun for your family and I'm so glad things are going so well. Just a couple weeks to go to find out what it is. Yay!

Yeah it was pretty darn cute, that's when Sarah said "it's a boy"! lol but yes we'll see in a few weeks what it is! As for the nub shot, the tech was great about it and really tried, but if you can believe it, the baby had the legs crossed with the umbilical cord in between the legs. Apparently God said no way to a nub shot this time.

November 1st seems like a life time away for my next U/S. At 1st I thought maybe she couldn't tell cuz she didn't see anything, like, it was most likely a girl since no pee pee but it was cuz the legs and cord so I felt much better. The bpm was also 163 so I kinda freaked out that it was fast but I know darn well that OWT is crap and my prego sister w/ a boy had a fast 1 too so I feel better. I know for sure I'll freak out if it's a girl for a day or two but I think I'll be OK. It was great seeing the baby move around with life. Very excited!

My due date is changed back to the 26th like I thought it was so I feel good about that too.

Glad it went well, too bad about the legs closed but that can't be helped. Yeah don't worry about the heart rate, my sister was convinced her second was a boy cos it was so slow compared to her daughter but it was another girl.
November 1st is forever away, that's going to be torture waiting for that! But the good news is by then i reckon you'd be almost guaranteed to get a great view of a nub or no nub.

Tink, I would consider your supps too. There are several supps that can mess with your cycle. Are you going to tell the OB about the sway? They will think we are crazy and just tell you to stop everything probably. I only half listen to my Dr. He told me to stop taking my awesome prenatals just cuz he'd never heard of them. Lame!

im taking FA; prenatal, vit d and omega. been taking them for a while and have o'd cd14 always. im going to play devils advicate here. lets just say i was never late af was due on the 6th. so if i was on time like usual...o day would have been the 19th. since i was late i am due.to o tomorrow. with that is it possible my body stil could have o'd on my.original cycle? does this happen? do i make sense! i guess im just weirded outout about this because ever since my slip up everythings gone to shit when it was going so smoothly. i just have to not stress..and wait and see

thanks! its nearly 4 days since dtd so prime time i think. im almost certain my cycle is slightly behind by 1/2 a day to 1 day cos of the chemical i had (2 cycles ago). im thinking if we dtd as late as possible(around midnight) cos were going out around 6.30am and wont be home till around 6pm....any other day would have been fine.....typical isnt it!hope its not girl territory.

WP I love camping and I'm so envious of your trip! We are going in November when it will hopefully have dropped into the 80's, LOL. I have still been exercising. I do light weights and mostly walking now, every now and then I might run a mile but for the most part I walk or do the elliptical machine. I ran through my other pregnancies (like up until 39 weeks!) but since I quit running to sway boy I just haven't felt like running this time! Exercise is totally my stress release though.

Re: my boy diet weight gain (I did update my sway with this too) I did the boy diet 9 months. BUT ... when I was "girl" diet I was still eating 2500 calories a day at least, but loads of it, literally half of it, was sugar... candy, etc. And I ran 40-60 miles a week so I just burned everything off. When I started the boy diet I dropped the exercise to 10 miles a week, plus 3x a week weight training, and kept my intake around 2200-2500 but it was all good, nutrient rich foods. I gained about 5 lbs (I think due to the loss of so much cardio) and then the last 3-4 weeks before our attempt I really amped up my food intake to gain another 2. Since the BFP I've gained about 7lbs.

I bet I will ovulate sometime tomorrow morning, maybe tonight, I don't know since I'm taking this estrogen....I have a feeling it's making me O differently, maybe sooner or stronger, I can't tell yet. I'm worried that if we dtd tomorrow night, I will have missed the egg.....what do you guys think, dtd tonight and tomorrow night and pool me with sperm, even if it's only a few million, lol, or wait till tomorrow night?

I just took another opk (1:30pm) and it is still positive, yet looking a little less dark than yesterday. I had some of the weird bloaty ovary pains this morning, so I am thinking I'm ovulating like, right now. We'll go for it again tonight. I hope one of those DAMN SPERMS made it up there last night!!!! I had one of those crazy moments right before we were about to do it where I got super hopeless and upset about the whole sperm thing, and could barely get it done. ARG! Not putting too much stock in getting pregnant, and I'd really like to not be fat anymore, too!!

When I started the boy diet I dropped the exercise to 10 miles a week, plus 3x a week weight training, and kept my intake around 2200-2500 but it was all good, nutrient rich foods. I gained about 5 lbs (I think due to the loss of so much cardio) and then the last 3-4 weeks before our attempt I really amped up my food intake to gain another 2. Since the BFP I've gained about 7lbs.

Well I was thinking I could find out the day before she leaves. That way I don't have to wait and she doesn't have to miss out on being there. I will be 15 weeks exactly on the 7th so would that be ok to get a definite answer you think?

Dudes, I have been so busy it's crazy. I hate not having the brainpower to make lots of fun commentary, but I am reading through the posts at least! We ended up dtd last night at about 11pm. I just took another opk (1:30pm) and it is still positive, yet looking a little less dark than yesterday. I had some of the weird bloaty ovary pains this morning, so I am thinking I'm ovulating like, right now. We'll go for it again tonight. I hope one of those DAMN SPERMS made it up there last night!!!! I had one of those crazy moments right before we were about to do it where I got super hopeless and upset about the whole sperm thing, and could barely get it done. ARG! Not putting too much stock in getting pregnant, and I'd really like to not be fat anymore, too!!

Yea, it gives me headaches, hot flashes, and makes me SUPER emotional! And I took Estradiol this cycle as well, it's an estrogen supplement that a very cool new member who is an RE recommended I try, and that made me even more emotional. I'm like a huge estrogen monster right now! But watch your cycle closely with opks, because the Clomid makes me O like clockwork on CD13, both months before. This month may be different with the Estradiol....I got a near + opk late yesterday (CD11) which is a day early, but I am thinking they will be way positive today, CD12, like clockwork, and we will have a nice 3 day abstinence which will hopefully help. I don't think I'm going to continue the Clomid, though....no point, really, especially since we may take years to conceive at this point.

hi all,just thought id keep you updated.well im cycle day 13 and i have a sneaking suspicion i o'd a few days ago,just cos i was getting quite a bit of cm etc but as it was a bit earlier than usual,i stupidly didnt do an opk:mad:im using the smileys.does anyone know if the lines on them (when you take the stick out)are anything to go by because when i started them yesterday,the line was darker and now its still there but lighter!!!:hair: i usually get a smiley on day 14(tomorrow) and o on 15 but worried since my chemical,i may be out of whack! i may just be over thinking,not really sure.anyway,i'll take them tomorrow and let you know.

Hobber, I wouldn't worry at all about the hot springs thing. If you guys dtd for 6 days in a row and got a boy, he's got a good sperm count (LUCKY!) so don't worry about it! Was quite a while ago also...I wouldn't get in the hot springs while you were doing it, but otherwise, its no big deal. I truly believe you will be just fine!

I dont know why I had so many ewcm days this month. I even had it for like 2 days after O. And I had this never ending O.This cycle was just different. O was late too...I think from the fertile cm.
Yes we did try but no bd on O day (by accident) only 4 and 2 days before. so well see...DH says to stop ttc...or if yes just 1 more try and that's it.

The cycle I concieved my DS was so different too. I had TONS of EWCM, and late O, I also think its from fertile cm, that's why I don't wanna take it again. FX for your BFP!!

Your timing was good. I really think the diet more important than timing ..don't worry about it.

I added coq10 and grape seed to me supp's.

I agree with Flava Hobber, I can't believe the springs 72 days ago could have done that much damage! But the BD plan sounds good. I don't know that October is really "magic" LOL ... I mean I do think seasons sway somewhat, but not a ton. I have loads of friends with summer girls. Heck, I'm a summer girl :) Either way I just hope everything lines up so you can feel confident in your sway!

MFC I don't know about the not finding out! DH is adamant about it, because he's always wanted a surprise, from before we ever even had our 1st child. And I've always wanted to know, and I've always won that ;) But I want to give him his surprise this time. And for awhile I thought a surprise would be better for me bc I was so concerned about having GD if I heard "girl" before delivery ... but now I actually think I'll be fine, not as thrilled as hearing boy, but really not at all upset if I hear girl. So part of me just wants to know now. In my ideal world the sono or my doc will mess up and spill the beans, and then I get to find out without it being my fault ;)

I don't understand the life cycle of the sperm is all. I am just not sure I want to take a chance on using sperm that may have been damaged by so much heat. I know they aren't all dead, but I worry that they won't be quite right. We don't usually go hot tubbing or to the hot sprongs--this was a one time deal--so I sort of feel inclined to wait it out. But I know, it is always goin to be SOMETHING, and I am getting old, and it is "boy season" so I need to get on this TTC thing! I will see what the opks say as the cycle goes on. Maybe it will work out. I have been taking supps, but I think the Fertile CM and EPO together were what made my cycle so short! I will pick one and just stick with it for next cycle.

You look very good!I only looked like this with my first 3 baby .But i put on to much when ttc #4 on IG and I don't loose any weight when I BF even put some on (hate this) .After BF I lost some but not all and now started ttc again and put back on like 20 lbs so I already have a big tummy.:sad:

Well, he just snaps and goes crazy. At home and at School, attacking other kids and teachers, his brother and sister who are older than him. He uses things as weapons to hurt kids and he enjoys it. We also found out he's been hurting our animals and damaging our rental property. He has now been taking into care by DOCS. We can't have him in our home full time any more, he's just too dangerous. Threatening to kill us, and he runs away too. HE needs one on one care and daily counselling. I couldn't imagine him hurting our baby when it's born out of anger or jealousy. It's sad we had to do that but we couldn't sacrifice 5 peoples happiness and safety for him. No one would help so we took him to the ER and they had him admitted to the mental health unit.

Oh so 16 weeks is still considered a little early huh, damn I might have to wait until 18 weeks!

Yeppers, I'm officially 1dpo today. I am pretty sure I ovulated yesterday, even though I did nothing but opks this month. I can feel it, though. We did dtd last night as well. So, I've got O-3, O-1, and O as my "pattern" this month, but good thing is, that was my pattern for the other months we managed to conceive. I decided to just try the flood with sperm thing. I mean, if he is only getting 2m in each time with a 48 hour cutoff, then 2m went in on O-1 day and hopefully 1m or so went in last night. I don't know, so NOT hopeful. I decided my best strategy for not having a monthly mental breakdown is to assume it won't happen for a year or so, but we must keep trying. Thankfully, I've been working my behonkus off, so been distracted.

My doc offered I could come for my scan at 18 and then just a reg appt at 20, and whole it was tempting I went ahead and did 20, since we aren't finding out.... No real rush. But I'm soooooo curious! I really might break down and schedule a private one next week. And not tell anyone. I just am going to spend some time trying to figure out how I will really feel if I hear girl....

Thanks for chiming in Gizmo! I can think of loads of reasons to be happy for another girl (especially is she's healthy!!) and that's part of the reason I feel ok with finding out this time. With dd2 I did have gd but I was certain she was a boy, because the pg was so different! Lol! I thought about that too - having a private scan and not telling anyone. I probably would have if we had somewhere to get one around here.

I hope that you are able to make peace with waiting. It's such a hard thing. I do know I had no GD when I waited and bad GD when we found out... But at the same time it's maddening not knowing. ((hugs))
