Evening ladies! Yeah I've felt crappy on this diet at times too, but I have to remind myself it's only for a short period of my life!!

My friend has just had her surprise baby girl after two boys, I'm so pleased for them but makes me want the same outcome too even more!! This is my absolute last chance, hubby consenting!!! I haven't done my exercise yet, I'm hoping to nip to the gym when hubby gets back... I've cheated on the diet this morning by having homemade drop scone pancakes but still within limits; I had them with Greek yogurt and a homemade blueberry sauce using frozen blueberries, hot water and a couple of teaspoons of half spoon sugar (my new favourite in the kitchen!!) and boiling it down, really yummy. I was also a big snacker before embarking on this girl sway lifestyle, let's hope it pays dividends!!! ;) x

Hi ladies, Just finished 60mins TM. Ended up doing 6days this week , tomorrow I'm going to have a day off.
Yesterday I was bad and had an afternoon snack I just couldn't help it, I've been so good and now feel guilty for it. This diet really takes its toll, I'm on week 8 now and getting tired, ohh how much id love to just snack whenever I want to. I know alot of girl mums and when they were ttc they snacked but calories were very low.
Hows the experiments going jenny !!! FX this is your month .

I'm still unsure of what I'm doing yet , probably just keep going and skip attempt this month and ttc April. Abit worried that I will have to shut down on exercise at the end of march, we are going away but I suppose by then I would have achieved 8 weeks at 5-6days exercise, and just be really good on diet .
Have a nice day ladies xx

Doing my 60mins right now on my bike butt not hurting so much now yeah

ended up taking yesterday off again. Trying to sort broken things out. Why can't one thing break at a time why do they all have to break together

Talking about our boys a couple of comments ago.... While I'm open and honest with my boys,,My boys are daddy's boys, never want to go anywhere with me do anything girly, kick up a fuss just going to the supermarket while their dad is in work. Only want to stay in at home and play computer games, they are aged 11-9 and nearly 5. Only want their dad tucking them into bed at night! I feel lost sometimes.

Beautiful Rainbow that's lovely they have a bond with their dad like that, I'm sure with you it's that safe love they have inside that they know you are always there for them. My boys are the opposite, want me to do everything for them and me to put them to bed and take them places. Although my older one is less fussed now so it gives me a bit more breathing time as I do feel it's on me to do everything. I quite enjoy it when the boys do end up all going outside to help cut the grass or mend something though as I can just watch from the window and enjoy it from a distance while cooking a roast or something yummy :-) I think food is the key to pulling the boys in close too, always come back for a good meal ;-)
I'm not looking forward to exercise today, and I had a hot cross bun for breakfast. Going to weigh myself at the weekend but I feel slimmer. Going to decide nearer the time if we do an attempt end of April or push it to May seeing as I don't seem to be doing too well with the diet, don't want to regret it

Next science experiment is scheduled for tonight!! Lab coats at the ready!!!! Haha!

I picked up a cheap box of opks yesterday, did one yesterday and it was negative, did one today and it was positive!!!!! I never get positive opks, so I am glad our next attempt was due today!!

Feel like driving into my husbands work and locking him in a cupboard to dtd haha!! Might be a bit inappropriate though as he is a cop!!

He'll keep for tonight ;)

Did good work out last night, will replicate it again today. Trampoline 20 mins, bike 20, trampoline 15, bike 15.

Would recommend the mini trampoline, while listening to music!!

Exercise this week has been terrible, boys haven't been sleeping, been like a sleep relay in our house this week, someone is always awake and it has been taking its toll, I'm exhausted. I'm hoping for a good night tonight and get back on it tomorrow.

what sort of meals is everyone eating? I'm still trying to work it all out

Faithinpink, I'm eight weeks in too. Really feeling the fatigue and lethargy right now. Perhaps this means its working for us and our bodies are reacting to the change in lifestyle? Shall we try and rejoice in this as a good thing?!?! :bluecheer: (PMA!!!)

2lovelyboys, I hear you! We are also enjoying the nocturnal olympics. Think i read a long time ago that disturbed sleep is really good for a girl sway. In the back of my mind I seem to remember Atomic telling ladies not to purposely wake themselves up in the night but that if it is happening to you then its all good for pink! Once again :bluecheer: PMA!! If I tell myself this enough will I actually start believing it?!

Food wise , are you doing LE or PCOS? I'm doing LE and my meals are basically white, focusing on white carbs, low fat cheese, rice, bagels, pasta and the allowed veg eg. asparagus, peppers, iceberg, cucumber, mushrooms etc... I swear I will NEVER eat some of these foods EVER again when I've finished swaying ;-) I have tried and tried with courgette but just bleurgh... its not my taste at all! Knowing my luck it will turn out to be the winning formula! Ha! x

March 9th, 2016, 10:52 AM
I'm supposed to be doing Pcos but have wholemeal bread but can't stomach the pasta or rice. Going to cook some white small she'll pasta later and let it cool, then mix with some mayo and sweetcorn and have it with some lettuce and cucumber and a bit of grated cheese on top. I could eat quite a bit of roasted veg but only if I had it with tinned tomatoes and a bit scared to go down the tomato route daily!

Pasta and tomatoes just go hand in hand, I usually eat it with bolognaise though or lasagne, probably the only way I eat pasta. Haven't struggled giving up meat though luckily

8 weeks on the diet and exercise is pretty amazing so very well done. I also remember reading that lack of sleep sways, think it lowers T?

I am following LE, i can get a bit obsessive so i am going to work out totals for a few meals and just stick to those, don't want to worry about all things all of the time. Am looking forward to getting into a routine with it and watching the weight come off (bonus).

I swayed with DS3, wasn't great at monitoring totals and ate a lot of pasta, to much to often so this time I'm gonna try and steer clear i think

chocolate
March 9th, 2016, 11:08 AM
I swayed with ds3 but Ig diet and had muller light, pasta and cheese spread with Parmasan cheese, but then we went to Butlins the Weekend of ovulation and I had fast food etc. So is probably why we got a boy ;-) He is such a joy and makes me laugh constantly and I don't know any other children as funny and happy as him, so it's a good reminder that happiness comes out of a failed sway.... Maybe that's why I'm not being so strict on the bloody diet!

Thanks for the advice 2lovelyboys...maybe I should lay off the pasta too. I counted totals at the start but then slowly found that I could kind of gauge what I needed to do. Food shopping is easy as the list is so limited. Have to say, the first two weeks were s-l-o-w, but the past 6 things have become second nature. The weight has come off easily which I agree is a huge bonus and oh my, did I need this kick up the backside to lose some!!

I am a serial snacker too. Don't think I've really felt hungry in the last maybe 10 years??? Reading some of your past lifestyles, I can completely emphathise. I used to go from one food item, to another, to another, probably picking and grazing every hour!

I am also constantly analysing my girl mum friends. Cake seems to be the common denominator?? As well as a general ability to zone food out and just take it when its there. I have long prioritised eating(!), whereas they will eat or won't eat, lose track of time and think oh well, I won't eat now, I'll eat later. They are just super laid back compared to me. Trying sooo hard to channel them but it just doesn't come naturally.

Exactly!! My friend with 3 girls actually forgets to eat sometimes!! I have never forgotten to eat in my life!!!

I also found that pasta was not my friend on the LE diet, I'm now doing a sort of light pcos diet but still consistently losing weight.

We have our next attempt tonight eek!!

Morning ladies!!! Getting my hour in now, didn't manage to do it yesterday as I was working a 12 1/2 hour shift, no excuse really as should have done it when I got in but just felt too tired and chose eating instead :o still within limits but not le pcos... Although my Fitbit did say I'd done 55 mins with my heart rate elevated but I'm not convinced. It's such a lovely day, perfect for a lush run but my chest is still bad so I really don't want to risk it, gutted as I'd rather be doing that than stuck on the bike in the gym :s I'm doing my exercise fasted this morning as I was late eating last night but I've planned ahead and got a box of prepped veggies and some humous ready in the car, good intentions and all that!

I'm really feeling the pink need at the mo, more than usual since my friend had her girl after two boys... She's absolutely thrilled and so is everyone else (as am I, truly!) but all the comments of "oh you got your girl!!!" "Yay a girl, how wonderful!" Etc etc just stabs at me. It makes me partly feel like not even having another baby as I know the comments I'll get when pregnant and especially if it's another boy, and that just compounds things further :( x

Yes we are doing e4d, this is our first month so time will tell!!
On cd15 today and usually have a 32 day cycle so probably haven't ovulated yet (not using opks this month)

Next attempt will be Sunday cd19. It feels so random and almost can't believe that people get pregnant from so few attempts, hopefully one of these attempts falls into a fertile day!! Xxx

Know what you mean 3sacharm, it sucks when people say comments like that. I don't think I'm fully allowing myself to think about a girl, I think I've even tricked myself into thinking that actually Im not that bothered about having a girl, when clearly I am ;-) My friend will be ttc at the same time and I think she will have a girl,I'm not sure how that will effect me. At the moment I feel positive and can handle anything but I am worried I may be more sensitive to gender desire etc. In pregnancy or after.
I seem to have given up on the diet principles, still doing low cals and low fat but I'm not choosing from the groups. I had 2 hot cross buns and 3 jaffa cakes for lunch with a diet coke!

Back to light excercise today as I had a procedure done on my back at the beginning of the week and could hardly walk for 2 days. Did 1 hour fast walk on treadmill but hoping to get back to full on running by Monday.
I had a hot cross bun for lunch too chocolate. I think for me not having breakfast or snacking and not eating fish nearly everyday is working for me and I can relax and not think about my diet too much. I find that if I start being too strict with myself and trying to follow the pcos diet to a tee then I start getting obsessive and worrying when I do cheat.
Hope you feel better soon faith.
Good luck for Sunday Penny.

You never know faithinpink, this could be your month? Lots of things adding up there, feeling poorly, eating like a rabbit and an oopsy? Imagine how fantastic if that resulted in a girl , all by accident?! I'm hopeful for you!!!

In the meantime feel better soon, poor you xxx

That's what I was thinking too faithinpink, all of your symptoms sound pretty girl friendly, so you never know!!!

In a way it would be great to just have an oopsie pregnancy! It would take the stress out of ttc every month!!

I'm exhausted today, had one of those headache days where nothing will shift it! Was at a shopping centre (boys wanted MORE skylanders!) and had lunch there. I was semi good and are a baked potato with cheese (prob way to much cheese but it was delicious!)

Then went to ikea (fun on a Saturday afternoon haha!) persuaded boys to behave with promises of ice cream and donuts on the way out.... I ate half a sugary donut.

Just having toast for dinner and will do a good workout tonight.

Cd18 tomorrow, which means another sexual science experiment!! Am pretty sure I ovulated on cd15 but will stay with the e4d program just in case X

Hi ladies! I need some advice...

(Background: I am extremely sedentary... I sit behind a desk all day and there are some days I don't get up at all. Not for lunch, restroom break, nothing... DS is 11, so I don't chase around any LO's)

I did my first cardio work out today; and I am DEFINITELY feeling the burn. My muscles are twitching and are sore already. I tend to get muscular and bulky (i.e. gymnast); my question is, is it worth it to work out (I am so out of shape, I think my body is definitely feeling like it's being put through the ringer) and risk building muscle or would it be better to go the couch potato route?

I am actually quite disappointed by how out of shape I am :omg: I am 5ft 100-105lbs so my body is totally misleading of how unhealthy I am.

TIA!

I did a Google and it's normal to get them 2 days running. Not got many ovulating signs though, seemed to get more last week. I ended up eating at about 11am, 3 mini hot cross buns and a packet of watsits, might have a jacket potato for dinner. Think I'm at the weight I'd always like to be now, going to be a bit miffed to have to gain it all back plus some for pregnancy though, resisting buying some new clothes as I know I'll end up ballooning if I fall pregnant! What did you have to eat? Hope you get a sit down before the school run :-)

Hi all I'm back, I didn't intentionally, but ended up taking a few days off because I ended up be g sooooo busy, but I'm really feeling hat I have had a few days off, on Monday I did 10mins cross trainer 20mins bike and more than half an hour walking our dog who pulls on his leash really bad.
Yesterday was a fail, I just could not do it I sat for 5 mins on my bike and gave up and went and snacked all day I'm kicking myself for doing it but just couldn't help it yesterday. I'm waiting for af to show, I get like this just before AF shows

I had another scan on Friday 2 weeks after last seeing the fertility doctor, It showed that I stil had not od and that nothing was developing to od any time soon, so the decision has been made to bring this cycle to an end. I was prescribed tablets to take twice a day for 5days, that last day was yesterday, af should be showing up in the next 3-4-5 days.
Once af has arrived I have to have another scan. To record a base line I'm not looking forward to having a scan while af is still visiting!
After base line scan I will be having fsh injections because I didn't respond to the clomid and that will last around 10days. We are looking atm that in about 15days time we will be having another attempt and hopefully this time it will work.
From what the doc and nurse was saying I think it is going to work, they said tabs like clomid surpress you making estrogen do your body will produce fsh, but my body doesn't want to make the fsh to the injections are by passing that and injecting that hormone so fingers crossed. Hopefully this will be my last attempt and I will be coming back with good new shortly.

Sorry for the long post, need to catch up as I have not been on here in a few days
Currently 30mins into my cardio on my bike today, it's killing me, lol, I also have my youngest off school not feeling well.

Hiya!

That sounds exhausting beautifulrainbow! Fx docs can get it all sorted out for you soon!

Think you deserved that few days off!!

Im not having best week either, have really hurt my ankle somehow! Can actually manage bike as my ankle doesn't need to rotate but everything else is too painful!

Had a cheat night last night as went out for dinner before going to see Mariah Carey with my sister( amazing show!!) still are vegetarian but it was a creamy sauce on my pasta.

Back on it today !! I'm on cd21 and in 2 ww. Not feeling any pregnancy symptoms so not in a rush to do any tests yet.

Ooo that show sounds amazing, i like mariah Carey.xxxx I have not been out to anything like that in years.
I have my eldest sons show at our local grand theatre on Saturday can't wait, it's meant to be good. He is playing sonny in the production cat on a hot tin roof. My son is a really good actor hope he remembers me when he is rich and famous :drama: ha ha

I had a memorial service on Saturdays with my eldest son, his drama school teacher passed away a few weeks a go, suddenly and such a shock! It was a lovely sevice for a special lady. Very moving all her studants (including my son) got up and said thing and sang for her they all ended up in tears! Poor babies!

Anyway ther was a mum there who had just had her 5th child a girl, she had girl:boy:girl:boy:girl
I asked what was she doing differently in her life when she conceived each gender, she replied absolute nothing, she didn't change her diets, didn't exercise at all, and attempts were the same.
Some people are just lucky!

Gosh that sounds very stressful beautiful rainbow! Keeping everything crossed for you that the injections do the trick.

I've just done my hour cardio across the bike and treadmill. I'm down to 9st 1lb now so another 1lb to target (lower end of my normal weight as 5'6"). Diet is variable; I frequently cheat in the type of foods that I eat but keep within limits of fat and protein, I don't think I could stick to the diet at all if I didn't?! That's really bad isn't it??! First meal of the day was low fat humous with carrots, cucumber, yellow pepper, crackers, beetroot, pear, kiwi, yogurt and half a banana!!x

Failed today massively, sausage burger from McDonald's at 10am as went shopping and had no will power! No exercise either as got such a runny nose, fresh start tomorrow! Will try not to eat much later either.
Jennypenny, well done for staying vegetarian whilst eating out!

Is there something in the water?! Everyone seems to be finding this week tricky! I've had a pants week too. Made bad, bad choices over the weekend, then got shin splints and have been unable to exercise since Sunday. Not surprised you attacked the snacks beautifulrainbow. You've been going through a lot recently. I've also been chowing down like there's no tomorrow. To think I used to live like that daily??? Just treated myself to some new running shoes which has picked me up a bit. The lady in the shop was so kind and positive, kind of spurred me on a bit.

Blimey, bit of a rollercoaster this swaying lark. Always questioning whether I should even continue! Then I remind myself, all I have to do is run daily and STOP putting bad foods in my mouth!!! (If only it was that easy!)

Chocolate, did you manage to find anything out about OPKs? I've just started using them and dead confused already!

Concerned that my stress levels and cycle are the things that will ruin my sway. All the things that are out of my control!(Typical boy mum!)

Pressure is on. 3 friends, all PG after 2 boys each. First one knows she's having a girl, second just LOOKS like she's having a girl, in fact her body is screaming girl!! Third one, unknown. Wish so much that none of this mattered to me!

Well I think it's quite normal to get 2 days of positive,I forgot to do one this am! Will do one now but my positives are first thing as I don't drink for ages but have been drinking all day today.
I feel quite chilled at the moment compared to normal so not to worried about being ocd as I was worse when ttc with my others.
I think the low sugar levels make me cheat with food as I feel rubbish and weak with no self control. Having cold after cold isn't helping but think that's a good sign as haven't had one for ages as I was taking supplements up until recently.

TIA!

Could you try a small slow exercise session then see how you go eg go for 15mins on a bike without pushing yourself too hard? Then add 5mins on a week later then see how you go and do on.
Atomic does have a diet for when you are dropping lower on weight!

Sounds great! I don't think I'm going to be doing the diet very well, haven't got time to cook myself meals so sort of picking at what the kids have or having hot cross buns or some sort of carbs. Kids are having roast chicken so think I'll have a Yorkshire pudding with veg. And gravy and try not to have the chicken, love roast chicken! I wonder what most vegetarian mums have. My old next door neighbour was vegetarian and had girls but was so busy she ate frozen stuff the kids had so I presume pizza, waffles, chips etc. But then maybe it takes years of being a vegetarian to kick in and be OK having those frozen junk food type meals.

Sorry to hear your still feeling crap faithinpink, hopefully it will clear up soon?! I have to admit, two days when I was poorly I ended up taking a berrocca type vitamin to try and boost my immune system, not two days running though; just felt that my body needed a bit of a boost to get over it.

I've just done my hours run, beautiful morning here so was easy to go out and do, although I got back and couldn't stop coughing :( still not 100% but getting there. I'm thoroughly looking forward to my lunch of yesterday's left over curry!! My breakfast wasn't le friendly - porridge made with coconut milk and coconut water, with a tsp of organic peanut butter and a sliced banana. It's what I needed before an 8mile run though! I worry that if I focus too much on my diet, make it too strict and stringent, then I'll be doing the whole anal/control boy mum thing :/ x

3sacharm, do you do an hour running? Think I'd die after 20mins, I could only do 20 mins running on the treadmill. Always feel as if my body works harder than most to get enough oxygen, maybe it's linked to why I always end up with coughing lots with colds, maybe a weak chest.
So I'm feeling like a failure so devised a diet plan for the next 6 to 8 weeks before my attempt. Will be; 12ish... 1 cup of wholegrain rice with some mushrooms, courgette fried in vegetable oil. Then I'm going to try to make a cheese sauce from Greek yoghurt, Parmasan and mustard but no idea what it will be like. May have to have some reduced salt and sugar tomato ketchup on the rice to stomach it! With a corn on the cob with a bit of flora light. Strawberries for after.
Then about 230 I'll probably have a coffee and 1 slice of toast to stop me binging at 4!
5ish will be a cup of brown pasta with a small amount of store bought mushroom tomato sauce and a bit of fat reduced cheddar on top, maybe some veg. Maybe some more strawberries.
2 glasses of wine in the evening. Still low on calories etc. Though but will have to see how I get on, might add a bit of chicken to the meals but wanted to avoid meat really.
Just got to make myself do this and get on track before its too late!

Sounds like you have a good plan on the food front chocolate. I think we're trying about the same sort of time so I really need to get this eating cracked too. I've just bought some cheese mini cravings and they are lovely, they have them in 9 flavours and I spread them on wholegrain corn crackers which are low everything. Also bought some low sugar jam I spread on them too which seems to be keeping my sweet tooth in order. Having wholegrain pasta and veg sauce for dinner, just got to make sure the garlic bread stays at the other end of the table!

Beautifulrainbow my youngest says he is a girl lol. 3sacharm I dont eat peanut butter but with jam it sounds yummy, not sure I could then refrain from eating more though. Frilly Lady my boys are having garlic bread later too so need to keep my hands off!
I've just made 3 portions of tinned tomatoes, courgette, mushrooms and lots of sweetcorn with basil and oregano. Have poured it and mixed into wholewheat pasta.... I Def. Won't enjoy it but may be able to eat it without gagging if I put some Parmasan or fat reduced cheese on top! Wondering if next time I should add some sweetener into the sauce whilst cooking but never used it in cooking before so not sure what would happen or if it's OK. I noticed by having bread or hot cross buns I was quite thirsty so thought pasta will be good to cut down on the sodium. Just need to master some sort of daily Pcos Le cheese or supreme sauce to chuck on wholegrain rice as I really dislike wholegrain rice plain. Will try Greek yoghurt. Mustard and Parmasan and a bit of butter and see what happens.
Slept rubbish and coughing so much so no exercise again and ate a cheese roll and crisps with a packet of white chocolate buttons at 10am again! No meat though and haven't blown by goals for today.

Chocolate, i know where you are coming from. After a week off motivation is lacking, DS1 has two weeks off school for Easter coming so my exercise routine will be difficult to stick to. Yeah I'd find it easier at that time too but can only do that 1 day a week. Or if it was 3 or 4 days a week it's more manageable. I also find it very hard to do more than 1300 calories and if I eat that and exercise I feel so hungry and will loose the last few pounds I have to loose. But if I eat more then I'll probably. End up going over totals in other areas or be adding in a snack or a 3rd meal, so tough! Only 7 weeks ish till my attempt though so got to think of it like that too

I think it's a bit of everything, sugar levels, weight loss and maternal conditions. I have definitely read several times that is does not need to be extremely intensive exercise but does need to be 60+ mins.

After reading lots of sways it does seem worthwhile, and has been working for lots of women. Will just aim for doing it a month at a time and it won't seem as bleak continuing on with it. If I thought about another 6 months of it I would totally want to stop!!

Sorry to hear about all the injuries and illness ladies. I don't think the weather is helping, in my area anyway. One minute its freezing, the next the sun is out! Think that's a recipe for coughs and colds to break out!

I've been suffering with injuries too. Decided to take some advice from a running expert and have invested in some new running shoes. Can't believe the improvement. Just wearing them around the house literally cured my ailments and I was back on the treadmill after a couple of days. The shoes were expensive but if budgets allow, maybe you ladies could look into it? Especially if your shoes are old or don't feel quite right! I knew absolutely nothing about running before my sway so didn't really realise the difference shoes can make! Not trying to teach anyone to suck eggs here, perhaps you all know this already!!???

So frustrating to put all these weeks into exercise and then be plagued with illness and injuries right around TTC-ing :-(

Snigger snigger Frilly Lady!

Has everyone had a good day? Good sesh for me on the TM, really, really strict with diet. Had lunch with 3 pregnant friends. A couple had their first scan pics and I have been 'nubsessing' all afternoon. Grrr, was so positive and upbeat this morning and now feel quite sad and ready to reach for the creme eggs!!

What a brilliant idea jennypenny. You can celebrate your BFP with your very own mini Easter! Perhaps DH could hide it away for you and then bounce out like the Easter Bunny when you get that positive result?!

Agree with you ladies that are finding exercise ok but struggling with the food cheats. So much bloomin chocolate around! Perhaps we need to change this thread to the daily food motivation group?! :-)

Gonna really, really try today. We are all doing so well and its not for much longer now girls. Have a good day everyone x

Hahaha! Now have an image of my husband dressed like a big creepy bunny!! Shudder. There's an image I won't forget in a Hurry!!!

Any other uk ladies watching one born every minute tonight? I love it, makes be sooo broody (even the gruesome birth scenes!)

Love seeing episodes when somebody has lots of boys and then gives birth to a girl!

Oooo I'm not watching it tonight, will try and catch up in the morning. Mixed it up a little bit after my (just short of) 10mile run yesterday with 90 lengths of the pool this evening. I never swim and although it was a little dull at times, I did enjoy it. Diet hasn't been brilliant today, I'm still putting it down to tiredness and hormones though, the joys of being a woman!x

Hello ladies checking in again glad your all still here.
I know it's been a few days but been to busy to come on here. Though I have fitted my n some exercise in between.
Thing someone is trying to tell me I'm too busy to have another child lol. Nah it's all going to settle down again now my eldest has finished his play.

Currently doing my 60mins even though I don't have the head for it today... My brothers girlfriend is 20 weeks pregnant and I'm really happy and excited for them truely honestly excited the sexing scan is tomorrow..... But she has annoyed me so much I'm now very angry with her. She is treating my brother so horribly.

The girlfriend picked an argument with my brother, she is being so horrible, telling him he is not going to be a good dad because he doesn't get to see his first child... Shouting at him for not being intrested in this one and not buying stuff for it, so he can to mine almost in tears asked me to take him to the store to buy baby stuff, I thought good u can get him to choose what they want as a gift from me.
So my brother bought the cot, and a vibrating bouncer,
Got it home showed his girlfriend, she kicked off, saying the box is a tiny bit damaged its obviously been used, but my brother had the recipt to show it was brand new, so then it was she didn't like the colours.
I bought a unisex cream changing unit with a bath built in which my brother really loved, it cost quit a bit but I didn't mind.
Even when my car has broken and I'm paying for my own fertility treatment , could have really used the money myself, I still didn't mind.
30459
30460

My brother built it last night and it just caused another argument between them. The girlfriend said it's too girly it's got flowers on not suitable for a boy. I said she was being silly, what about all the male gardens out there they like flowers and a new born baby boy isn't going to say I'm not lying on that its got flowers on it. She grumbled and moaned more finally said well let hope the baby is a girl then. I said ok if you don't like I will take it back, so I did, ... Now I have taken it back Im a spiteful cow. I can't win. argh how ungrateful I never had anything so nice and fancy when I had my 1st child I was bathing my baby in the sink. I'm too nice for my own good. But I proud myself on being nice, I always treat other how I want to be treated, I always respect people even when they don't deserve it.
And I'm the one who always ends up getting kicked in the teeth.

I was washing up all my baby blankets to get to them to help them out, I'm not going to bother now, which is unfair on my brother because he wanted them,
But washing then up in the baby washing powder has left my hose smelling like new born babies. OMG IM SOOOOOO BROOODY NOW!!!

On a plus note I started my fsh injections yesterday, one a day for the next 6 days, another scan on Monday and if I have not over responded to it I will have the trigger shot last on Monday too. Can't believe it all could happen so quick

Beautifulrainbow, she sounds like a right cow, maybe hormones are making her worse or something but gosh your poor brother! Is she usually that much of a cow? The unit is lovely and so nice of you to buy something and take your brother. It's nice he can ask you to help him so just concentrate on being there for him as it sounds like he needs all the help he can get!

Fingers crossed for you this cycle :-)

I managed 60 mins on the bike, thinking of using spermicide with my sway as I suck at the diet and just don't think it will sway girl so even if it takes longer to fall pregnant, maybe it will increase.my chances of a girl and I'm in no rush

Hi Mulberrysmurf, I could do with a diet group too as I need more help with that than anything else!
My feeling rubbish go to food has always been take away and chocolate!

I've done my 60 mins today and have even lost a pound which is odd as I've been eating chips and chocolate some days.... But then I've skipped dinner to sort of compensate so maybe that's why. I think I'm going to have to add in an extra bagel or something a day to stop loosing weight as still have another 6 weeks to go till the first attempt and haven't got much left to loose!

The thing we ladies do... I used to suffer with my back while pregnant and just after with my last son, but the last year after losing the weight my back has not played up, until this morning, I bent over and it gave out, it's not as bad as it used to be when it gave out and keeping active always help it heal, because sitting still it freezes and causes more pain. So I'm going to hop on my bike and push through it gently.

I got through my workout ok! Actually my back didn't hurt while I was working out. Now I'm sitting I can feel it going stiff.
I always eat chocolate at the end of my meal so I can enjoy it and it still be within my limits. I'm getting bored with the diet now, don't feel like eating any of it any more, just want a big tasty!

My two birthdays are quite nicely spaced out and I wouldn't mind a Christmas baby but would love a spring baby.
Good news about your follicle beautiful but not so good about your back. I've always suffered with mine and I'm having intensive treatment twice a week on mine.
As for the grey hair I think I'm quite lucky as I've got really light hair that's got lots of different colours running though it but my hair dresser said she's seen a few. I keep saying I'll wake up one morning and it will have all turned white the way I stress myself out doing all of this!

Beautifulrainbow, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Jennypenny, sorry to hear about your ankle, i think having an injury is sometimes worse than being poorly, your mind is willing and ready to go but ur body has other ideas, so frustrating.

I have heard about those sports shops that watch and map how you run and recommend appropriate trainers, i have friends that have been and recommend it 100%, may have to look into it.

I have fallen off the wagon big time, to many family meals, easter eggs and alcohol this weekend and with the boys off school for 2 weeks exercise 6 times a week is tricky. Am using the time to look into some quick "go to" meals, i am such a huge snacker so i am hoping that if i have some easy LE meals i can make then i might cheat less hmmmmmm well thats the plan anyway lol

Hiya

I would find opks frustrating to do one attempt with, I very rarely see a dark positive line and find it stresses me out a bit.

With e4days i should hopefully be able to have at least one attempt within the fertile window.
Saying that, I am going to also use opks this month, just out of interest to see if one of my attempts is close by a positive test, not to base my one attempt on though xxx

Thanks for the feedback re. opks girls. I tried using them last cycle. I was really confused by them, kept forgetting to test, kept getting negatives, lost interest and then just forgot completely! Do you know WHEN I should start using them in my cycle? Which day? Can I be dead thick and ask, is 'CD1' the first day of your period?

2lovelyboys
March 29th, 2016, 12:33 PM
Cycle Day1 (CD1) is the first day of your period. Everyones cycle will vary, a standard 28 day cycle would assume ovulation around day 14 however it can be earlier or later. Could maybe start testing around day 11/12? Test a couple of times a day if possible (for accuracy) and you will notice the lines getting darker until ovulation and then fade out again. I used to test in the morning, after lunch and in the evening. I bought my OPKs off the internet, did the job. Hope this helps x

an app for tracking your periods might be helpful as well as the OPK sticks. When trying for our first I used the ones with a flashy or still smiley and that helped :) I tracked from cd 5 with cheapies then I used the expensive ones closer to when I thought I would get a positive :)

I didn't ovulate till about day 17 this cycle, I'd start testing from day 10 as I've been known to ovulate day 12. I actually got my positive first thing in the am which they say isnt the best time to test as it's synthesised in the evening or something. Try not to wee in the 2 hrs before or drink anything. So maybe do first thing and mid afternoon/evening.

Search for Zumba- Latin dance. It's great! I do this with my boys on a rainy day or when they are driving me nuts, haha! There are several to choose from that are 50-60min. You can also search for walk away the pounds, but I prefer Zumba.

Hi ladies! I've been reading your journey's all along, and you're all doing such a great job!

I've started the exercise as part of my second pink sway. I walk wearing my DS3 (he's 16lbs at 4mo [emoji51]) in a front carrier while pushing my DS2 in a stroller for 60min after walking DS1 to school. We also walk to pick him up, so I get about 80-90min of cardio a day M-F. On weekends I do what I want or just play with my boys outside or at a park.

I'm still breastfeeding my DS3 quite a bit but only once in the middle of the night.

We won't have our first attempt until May most likely, unless I pull a fast one on my DH, haha! He's still a little gun shy about a 4th, but he knows how much it means to me. No matter what he says, he loves trying for one, haha! He's also used to BDing every 4 days so we will just keep that up.

I'll post every now and then as I can get a bit obsessed/competitive. Exercising while breastfeeding has really changed my personality a bunch, but I know my tendencies, haha! I'll leave the temping and opks alone this time!

Girls, wow! Thank you for all your replies. Ok, so I will start testing on Cd10 due to my short cycles. If I can't get my head around things, I will take the E4D route.

Anyone recommend which OPKs to use? Will ask the lovely ladies (including you xxforhubby, thank you hun) over in the thread I started about this too.

Mulberry Smurf, which app would you recommend? Sounds like something that will get me organised!

I like Wondfo or Babi Internet cheapies and the CBD with smiley (pink ones) NOT the CBD advanced with flashing smiley (purple ones). The advanced seems to cause problems for people.

I always used cheapies until I got a positive- the test line was as dark as or darker than the control line. Then I would check it with a CBD. This way you don't use but 2 or 3 of the CBD's per month (they are expensive) and a box of 20 could easily last 8-10 cycles this way making them MUCH more cost effective!

xxforhubby thank you so much for your useful reply-I will get on it tonight!

As this is supposed to be an exercise motivation discussion  I will also add that I did 8 miles on the TM last night which apparently burnt 1000 calories. That was my best effort yet. Sooooo annoyed with myself that I celebrated with some Easter Egg and a glass of wine. Two steps forward...three steps back :prof:

Hey, we must celebrate the victories otherwise we will never win! You're doing a fantastic job! Keep up the good work!

I think I did too much yesterday. I did my 60min while wearing DS3 and pushing DS2 in a stroller. Plus, we walked again for 24min to get DS1 to and from school. Then I did loads of housework. I either need to stick to the 60min and housework or 60min and additional cardio, not both. Plus, I may need to eat more if I'm going to do extra exercise. I think I would've been ok had I eaten more.

On a positive note, I've lost another 2.8 lbs for a total of 5.8! Only 16.2 to go!!!

xxforhubby, way to go on the weight loss! Sounds like you may need to up calories slightly esp while BF, don't want to become run down

The Zumba Latin dance sounds fun thanks will check it later! I have one called p tracker lite which helps me track my cycle and I can put in various symptoms I am feeling etc. It doesn't have a temp chart though I don't think though, I think my fertility friend does xx

XXforhubby
March 30th, 2016, 06:05 AM
I love both Fertility Friend and Kindara apps for different reasons. I love the aesthetics of Kindara and how you can customize your symptoms. They both have an algorithm to calculate O based on all cycle history and info you add. That is why I like both to compare.
With Kindara, you don't have to chart for it to calculate your fertile window- you can input CM and or CP to get that, whereas FF those are secondary to temping not equal.

If I had to choose one, I would choose Kindara.

What exercise is everyone doing? Are you all largely running? Are you mixing other exercises/classes?

I have been spending my 60 mins on the TM jogging/walking then doing a gentle 15/20 mins on the bike, i was thinking about adding a pilates/yoga class, thought it might help stretch my muscles, what are your thoughts?

I have been looking a lot at other families recently and analysing friends diets and lifestyles that have DD. One of my friends admits to swaying (shettles) for her DD after having her son, but looking at her life and habits she actually did LE! When pregnant with her first her DS she put on a lot of weight, once he was born she went on a strict low cal diet, she used MFP to log everything, she walked 2 x 1 hours daily (7 days a week) for weight loss but also to get her newborn DS to sleep, survived on diet coke, her sleep was severely disturbed, she lost ALOT of weight v quickly and by the time DS was 3 months she was pregnant with her DD. i find it all so interesting, the more i learn the more people i can see fall into these theories

I walk wearing DS3 while pushing DS2 in a stroller. I walk DS1 to school and then continue for an hour. Three days a week I follow cardio with a PiYo workout (Pilates and yoga hybrid) for 20-30 additional minutes.

I'd love to run, but I don't have a jogging stroller big enough for two kids.

I've been exercising since the first week of January. Mainly 6 times a week, 5-7 miles each session, always for an hour but more recently 70-80 minutes. I ramped it up a bit last night though and managed 8 miles. I was actually enjoying it :omg: freak . Can't see that happening again! I seriously hated, hated, hated running before I started swaying, but started slowly and have just invested in some great running shoes which have really helped.

Only way through for me is my telly! I plan what I will watch before I run and it makes it so much easier. Did do a rosemary conley workout DVD once. Blimey, I couldn't walk for like a week after. That lady is seriously fit!

zumba-latin sounds fun though. Might give that a try!

Eek good luck beautiful rainbow!!!

I vary my exercise; it is predominantly running as I'm training for a half marathon but also enjoy getting out for a run anyway so comes relatively easily. I can't do it everyday though for 6/7 days per week as the distance I cover in an hour would just be too much. I go to the gym when I'm not running, mainly the bike but I walk and do intervals on the treadmill and tonight I did hard HIIT class.

I'm sure I read that Pilates and yoga weren't great for pink sways as they build muscle??x

If they are used as the primary exercise. I only do 20-30min AFTER I do the 60min of cardio. This does not effect a pink sway and will cause muscle building due to exercising for 80-90min.

Hope this helps [emoji3]!

Morning all! How is everyone doing? Been interesting to read all the exercise everyone is doing. Just wow 3'sacharm, you sound megafit! That's the stuff I can only dream of! I'm more this when it comes to exercise :hide: !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Managed another 8 miles on the TM last night. Feeling a bit worried now that I should be mixing it up a bit? Should I be? Any advice girls? Those of you who are experts at reading the sways of others, what exercise did those successful ladies do? I am fairly active the rest of the day with my boys, walking to school, playing in the garden, days out etc. But don't do any other formal exercise besides my TM.

That sounds great glitter mouse! I think as long as it's at least 60min of exercise you are doing great! It sounds like you are also active throughout the day too!

From what I've seen (I'm certainly no expert lol) most people have been Doing different methods to make up their hour of exercise, long walks with buggies, treadmills, bikes, dance videos etc I don't think any type of exercise is swaying more than another.

I'm back to just doing bike Alone as it's the only thing that doesn't hurt my ankle.

Glad I'm even able to do bike at all as A couple of weeks ago it was so painful to walk, I thought I would have to go down the couch potato route!!

Glitter mouse, your so funny.

I'm here I'm 36 mins into my workout on my bike, I like being on the bike i find it easier on there. it's coming a little easier again now.i recently bought a pulse rate monitor so I can check I am keeping up my pulse rate for 60mins.
As you all know I pulled my back out, well that day I slowly pushed through the workout then had a hot bath and while my back was still bad after I did feel better. But the next day I chose not to do anything to give my back a rest, well I think exercise was the better option as I woke up yesterday morning extra stiff, but once I exercise I was feeling a little better again.

Jenny penny I'm looking forward to you being in the tww too! Sorry about your ankle glad you can continue on your bike too.xx

I also had a cadburys cream egg after lunch, and a small glass of milk just enough to take my suppliments. Worthers do sugars free sweets and the taste nice too.

Mulberry, do you think the LE and exercise are causing us to have dreams? Have you looked up the meaning of your dreams? They're following a bit of a water theme? Wonder what that means?

I looked my dream up on the internet and amongst other things, it said it could be a premonition. Got me thinking about a vivid dream I had when PG with DS2. Totally weird but the boy in my dream looked physically exactly the same as my boy does now. Same body type, face and hair colour and style (v.different to DS1). In fact the only difference is that in my dream, the boy lived in my pigeon hole at work and I just used to lift him out and kind of unfold him each morning! I'd forgotten all about that dream until last night's offering. Maybe I have the gift of the 'third eye'?!!

I think you all are doing well. You've made some huge changes from what got you your sweet boys. Celebrate that! Sure, we all could do this, or that, to be "better", but give yourself time. Any continued improvement helps! You don't want to be so "perfect" that it becomes too difficult to keep up. Plus, you don't want to obsess or view this in a competitive way, trust me. That was my down fall last time that led to my sweet, DS3 [emoji4]! Stick to the limits, know and avoid your triggers, and do your best! All of you are doing just that!!

AFM- I've logged 5 days this week of 60+min of walking with my boys. I've stayed in the limits and going to allow myself a cheat this weekend. I've lost 2 more lbs!! I've lost 8lbs so far and 14lbs left to lose!

We were team yellow with him, really not bothered what we had. I had a water birth and as he was born I reached down into the water picked him up unwrapped the cord from around his neck as the mw and my friend went to rush over and laid him on my chest all with out even looking to see if he was a boy or girl, after a few mins the mw asked "well what did you have?" Thanks xxforhubby. It's always great to have the wisdom and advice from someone who's been through this already. Congratulations on the brilliant weight loss! You're doing great!

I don't have the competitive thing at all. My issues are more that I just don't think my luck will come in. I suppose I can be personally defeatest although I'm outwardly positive and happy. My girl mum friends are so chilled out. They don't worry and everything seems to wash over them. I'm trying to be like them but finding it really hard to change my personality type. I am a born worrier!!! Do you think that will affect my sway?

I certainly shall get pinked up 3'sacharm and I will adopt your chant beautifulrainbow. I might even do a ritualised dance in the garden under the light of the moon!!! Where's the harm?! My Friday night is sounding better and better :highfive: cheers girls x

Absolutely funny, I will join you under the moon!

I'm at target weight (or at least was up until last week pre Easter, but was still there when I checked on Tuesday...) which is 9stone; I'm 5'6" so that makes my bmi 20.4 so will try to keep it here.

Funny you should say about dreams and their meanings; with the little boy I lost, I had a dream before my 20week scan whereby he had 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes. I told the sonographer this as it had made me nervous about my scan. She reassured us about the fingers/toes (totally insignificant I know) but then found significant defects in the heart. Still makes my chest feel tight thinking about it now :'( x

Oh, this breaks my heart [emoji20]! I think you have a great plan to hold steady. I actually find this to be easier for me. I have to do tons with diet and exercise for my body to lose weight while breastfeeding. It just seems to want to hold steady! So far so good for us!

I sure hope and pray you don't have to go through that again 3'sacharm!

I'm an on and off worrier, sometimes I feel positive but other times I worry about everything especially after reading the news. I know girl mums who worry, but I do think when I follow the Le diet properly I feel so lethargic that I can only worry half as much as I'm too tired!
Only another 10 mins to go! Just peeked in the ttc boy forum at girl question threads which killed some time and quite interesting and don't feel too bad about some chocolate or cake! They seem to eat very little, no breakfast, some sweets or cake, very small evening meals. Low fat stuff, no junk meat/fast food like I used to grab :-)

I'm a bit of a on off worrier too, I tend to worry about the silly things not the important things! I'm definitely a more chilled out person from when I had my boys but I suffer from health anxiety so I try to stay as chilled as possible.
I've done my hour on the treadmill watching 16 & pregnant and cried my eyes out as she decided to give her little girl up for adoption. Don't think I'll watch that again.
I'm trying to hold steady with my weight as my bmi is 17.8, I think it's so low due to no muscle mass what so ever, I'm like a walking marshmallow with a matchstick stuck in the middle.
Thats so sad 3sacharm fingers crossed for a healthy pregnancy next time.
Thanks for that reminder xx, I keep having to remind myself all the little changes matter too.
No moon here at the moment fingers crossed for later and I will join you ladies with that chant.

My weight has been holding steady I didn't lose any weight over o, even though I have lost over 10kgs since I started swaying. I needed to lose that weight!
Had a cold leading up to o and was completely vegetarian, lower calorie, LE/pcos LE diet, no snacking, chocolate and sweets at end of meal, diet coke and coffe, alcohol in the evenings, on metformin(slight girl sway) and had clomid last cycle (still sways girl next cycle too). Fibre and the odd cinamon sups, folic acid. and probably averaged at 60mins exercise every other day. 1 bd day before o and bd on o day. I hope it's enough to sway girl.

It may be old wives tale, but has anyone checked out thier bio rhythm chart? I put in my o dates from my boys and I was well and truly in the boy zone and correct every time, this time my o date falls in the girl zone. Fx crossed its right again!

Good for you 3'sacharm!!! You must be super fit!!! I am terrible at running! I just can't work out what to do with my hands lol!!

Back from my weekend away, was as good as I could be but had a few cheats.

Went long walks and swimming (holding ds2 and bobbing around haha!)

Felt like I was studying every family there. It is truly amazing how many pigeon pair families there are! I also saw a few 2or 3 boys then youngest was a girl families. Even my husband said, "look, they had a girl after boys! it made me feel bad, I don't want to get his hopes up either. I think he is secretly dying for a baby girl to dote on.

At lunch yesterday we were sitting next to an all boy family (4 boys aged approx 8-16?) they were sitting pretty much in silence with the boys (and dad)on their phones and tablets. The mum looked bored. Obviously, it is totally how you raise your boys (my two never stop chatting...ever!!) but I felt a bit stressed out watching the situation. If I do end up with a final all boy family, I will try to ensure we always have good communication.

Just trying so hard not to wish for a girl too much! Don't want to set myself up for an emotional fall!!!

Rant over!! Think I need a nice relaxing bath and a glass of wine!!

Glad you enjoyed you time away, I think everyone needs some time to relax, it will help you in your sway and to concieve!

jennypenny-what to do with your hands when running!! LOL!

It's amazing how much us swayers notice the dynamics and gender make-ups of other families eh? I'm sorry it stressed you out a bit during your relaxing family time. I always feel its the outside influences that affect me more than anything else. the things others say and do etc

I absolutely LOVE my all boy arrangement when it's just us four together, but then the old feelings creep back when others make me feel less worthy iykwim?

I went out to some cool bars last week with my gal pals and couldn't help but notice how many handsome and smart young men there were out and about with their parents, perhaps visiting them at uni or something. I felt absolutely uplifted by their easy relationship and it looked like FUN! I found myself wondering if it really would be so different with a daughter or whether society has just conditioned me (us?) that way?

Hahahaha I sort of look like I'm doing the Charlestown when I run!
My husband tries to direct me but I either raise them too high and end up punching my boobs or too low slapping around my thighs! It's quite a sight!!

To be honest, the family I was spying on were one of those very serious, humourless looking families. If they had a girl, I'm sure she would have silently been sitting alongside her family also!

My kids r a riot in restaurants at the moment! My mum describes it like a chimps tea party hahahaha X

Blinking Nora 3sa charm that's impressive to be exercising before coffee. I've had my coffee and first meal of the day and still don't feel in the mood to jog lol I didn't stretch properly yesterday and have very sore calf muscles (took my youngest to a pool party and was stood on tiptoes the whole time as I am very short and even in the shallow end had to stand on tiptoes lol). Good luck for this week everyone with your targets :) I always notice family make ups too. Even on the school run its amazing how few all boys families there are. Xx

60 mins done :-) I took my boys out yesterday and analysed families at the cafe. One mum of girls sat eating yoghurt and something for her meal while the others in her family ate chips, and she was in running gear! Another mum of girls was the only one not eating ice cream out of her family.... I ate chips followed by an ice cream lol. They have such better self control or don't crave these things as much!

Does make me wonder if it's all just related to the balance of hormones we have. I naturally have higher testosterone I guess due to Pcos which I think in some way attracts male sperm more. I have been looking up acidic diets and found a food chart and coffee, wholegrain products and dairy are acidic which is what I'm mainly eating so hoping that helps lower my Ph. I can only see myself with another boy but I feel quite OK about that, so the best I can hope for is that feeling stays so if I get an opposite I will still feel OK. Some days I feel quite chilled but the last 2 days and this cycle, more than the last,I feel a bit snappier. Maybe it's from those boy friendly chips I've been eating ;-)

I had a silly comment about having only boys the other day! Was in the car dealership waiting for them to bring my car back to me and I saw this lovely car, I asked the receptionist if it came in 7seats?
she replied "no, why do you have a lot of kids".
Me: "no I got 3 boys but I need the room with them"
Receptionist " ah one for each row"
Me "yes exactly lol"
Receptionist "wow 3 boys you must have your work cut out, I only have 2 boys and I find it hard, did you go In for a 3rd child hoping for a girl?"
Me "no my third boy was an accidentl I was on the pill but had been sick at some point on it hence why I got 3rd boy"
Receptionist "did you see the show Malcolm in the middle, she had boys and felt like screaming all the time are you like that having 3 boys?"
Me: "no it's not like that at all"
Then I was called for my car thank goodness

Another comment from someone else about ttc "you must be glutton for punishment"

Anyone else had stupid comments
