I was using the empty circle or smiley so they positive vs negative would be clear. I got positive smileys CD16 and CD19 but negative AM and PM in between. This is what confusing to me. Why would I surge, not surge for 2 days and then surge again?
Per my history...I never O on CD16 and according to my norm and other fertility symptoms I lean towards CD19.
This is my chart if I remove the +OPK on CD19 (my 2nd positive for the cycle

How are your temps? EVEN IF you are taking progesterone, your natural levels will drop. I take it every month and still get temp drop and AF.
You are going for bloodwork before late implantation, so you'll have to go again until you get AF! or not. ;)

No she was like stop taking progesterone. But... the dr told me to stop taking it at 14dpo... I am only 11dpo today.
Do you think there still could be a possibility of it if I am 11dpo?

Roe, I've had numerous cycles where I get a +opk and no temp rise, then another +opk and a sustained temp rise a week later. I think you should use the 2nd +opk.
Maxim, I'd take out the +opk and let FF decide when you o'd based on temps. Like cosmosis said, you can try the other options that FF offers to see what O day they give you.
Robin, I'm so sorry!! That's so upsetting. :hug2: I'd keep taking the progesterone until 14dpo.
Afm, I'm feeling super crampy. I think my body tried to ovulate a few days ago. My right ovary feels super sore. I feel all bloated and emotional. I honestly feel like af is right around the corner. The birth control is doing a number on my body. My temps are insane!! On the upside, my skin looks fantastic! LMAO!

Maxim, I'd have considered that one positive if it was me. I tend to have short surges and used to have to test a bunch of times a day (three way my base, four if I had one that looked like that) to get a really true positive. To help myself chill out about TTC and be less of a control freak, I've been only testing once a day and counting those "really close to positives" as positive, but I don't know that I would be comfortable with that if I didn't have quite a few cycles of OPKs and comparing OPKs to my chart (I'm not charting) under my belt.
I have a really good feeling about this month for the first time since we've been TTC. This is cycle 6, but we missed having a good attempt twice.
Roedinga, what happens if you leave the OPKs and change it to FAM? (Oh, haha, I see cosmosis said the same thing).

CD19 makes more sense for you. If you had a +OPK, then negatives and again +, it is your second one that would be the surg more than likely. The recommendation to go with your first +OPK is if you have a couple more days of positives following the first one. If there is no thermal shift then you continue to test and again BD at your next surg. Hope that makes sense.

Yes! That's me according to this month. I would've bet big money that I ovulated on CD19 because of my usual O symptoms but my morning OPK was negative! Then like 8 pm I get a positive OPK after I thought the ovulation had already happened!
I'm going to stick with my O on CD19. This is so silly but I was kind of excited about the possibility of CD16 O because that would put me further in the tww and I could poas! [emoji85]

maxim -no honey, you havent :( i am sorry. I really believe however that the less your DH knows the better, genuinely tell him the truth if he asks which is "i havent ovulated yet so we havent had our attempt" thats the truth and should get you more time. The thing is i remember that test being done around the time you were having fun with your girlfriends, drinking wine etc and taking the stress off. i think you were gearing up to O because you were finally relaxing but then started stressing about it again right after you got the almost positive and thats why it dropped off.
Robin lemme see the test! the thing about FRER and clearblue digital weeks estimator is they pick up HCG before a doctors blood work will confirm pregnancy..you have to have at least 11-12 i think for the blood test to be positive? frer and CBDWE can pick up levels of 6-10
ETA: Robin - Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) - hCG Levels (http://americanpregnancy.org/while-pregnant/hcg-levels/)
"An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy." so depending on the doctor, lab etc even if you had elevated levels they may not say you are pregnant unless it hits 25 or more...my RE was this way...she said my level was just barely positive at 25...which is silly because THIS time i knew i was pregnant with levels alot lower. I think they do this so that the women who may have chemicals etc dont feel disappionted if they are told they are pregnant and then still have a period just a bit late

But the blood test is always more accurate, though. An FRER can't tell you what your level is, or whether a shadow of a line is a real line or evap/indent. I get what you're saying, that some doctors will consider a low HCG number to be "negative", but in my experience a competent doctor who knows you're only at 11dpo would ask you to come in for a serial draw if there was any HCG at all. In that situation, I would think that "negative" means zero HCG, and the FRER line must've been an evap/intent/false positive.
Robin, I'm not trying to be discouraging at all and of course there is still a chance you're pregnant with a later implantation that hasn't produced HCG yet, but I wouldn't trust any HPT over a blood test. Can you ask the clinic to confirm whether your "negative" blood test was zero HCG or something else?

Erin- Then you completely ignored where I said my re's nurse flat out told me that at their office less than 25 would have had them telling me I wasn't pregnant. Im not saying this is the case with Robin but she is also not out yet until they tell her zero hcg in the blood. None of us have seen the pee tests.. if she posted them and there was an obvious line but the blood said not pregnant would you really believe the blood? Especially with no numbers given.. a pregnancy test can have false positives but it's always for good reasons.. chemicals which don't result in viable pregnancy but still have hcg in pee, early miscarriages, medications and injectables, all give false positives on tests yes but you will never get a false positive 'just because'... if there is a line on a test there is hcg in your system. Wether it results in a viable pregnancy is another story.
Any way you can post any of the tests Robin?

Robin, For what it's worth, with my pregnancy back in August, my beta HCG was 10 at 16DPO and then only 35 at 19DPO. I got a squinter of a positive the evening of 15DPO on a wondfo. The outcome isn't what I would have wanted but I did carry that sweet angel for 12 weeks. On a happier note, in that process I read tons of women's posts that didn't get BFP or positive blood tests until well after me and had happy healthy little babes after 9 months.

My doc says at 10dpo any reading is positive but a viable pregnancy doubles at the appropriate rate. So if I've had a draw at 10dpo, he would do another one at 12dpo, and another one at 14dpo-15dpo to confirm doubling time.
FX so hard for you Robin!!

She thinks I may have had yet another chemical pregnancy bc early this month I had no levels. She told me at 11dpo they expect my levels in a noemal pregnancy to be at arpund 80.
I am going to stop the progesterone now and wait for AF to arrive so I can start my first clomid cycle. God this sucks so bad.

Nothing exciting this morning. No shadows on sticks to play with. I've been super crampy again since yesterday afternoon. I'd say its AF but the grouchy mood isn't there.
I did an override on my FF chart for CD18 and that's where I'm gonna keep it. This makes me 10dpo today and I'll be taking my second frer tomorrow and will continue to do that every 48 to 72 hours while doing wondfos daily. I'm taking some comfort in the theory that boy beans produce less hcg or at a slower rate.
How's everyone else doing today?

So I just talked to the nurse at the clinic. My beta levels were only at 5. No idea why the home pregnancy test picked it up at that range.
Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
I'm sorry to hear this :( I honestly would wait and take the progesterone for a few more days to encourage your body to have a stronger Ovulation and longer LP.
I'm wondering why they are not going fort with another draw at 48 hours?

Robin honey :( what if you were only 8-9 Dpo in reality? It's possible your hcg just hasn't had a chance to double yet if baby just implanted... I don't want to give you false hope but I also don't want you to do something you may regret...maybe give it another day or two and retest? If you get a darker line I'd call the nurse back for a redraw.. with the understanding you may have been off on your DPO a day or two..but if your gut says there is no hope and it was a chemical again then you do what you gotta do to feel better. -big hugs-
Cosmo looking forward to your test tomorrow... Xx

Didn't want to disappoint, so I spent my morning trying every trick that I could think of to be able to capture what I see without needing to tweak anything (minus inverting). I think there was divine intervention because I'm one stubborn lady and I would have wasted my whole day on this.:rofl::rofl: You didn't think I would actually take a break did you??
The results were as I suspected. I needed soft light, coming from above. SO I climbed onto my bathroom sink to get underneath the perfect light lol. I was only able to capture a couple of shots because the phone automatically adjusts for lighting, it was so frustrating. But I got them.
The one at the top is SMU, the one at the bottom is FMU. Middle is my blazing OPK from CD19 LOL.
I hope I have provided good entertainment. XD
ETA: I understand the photo was taken after the "window", but I assure you, these are the darkest ones so far and even then, I'm certain I injured my eyesight today. They look much more clear captured on photo because they are still and in the perfect lighting.

The plan is to confirm wondfo lines with a frer, then just buy one pack of CBD's for next week so I get the 2-3 week reading and then the 3-4 week reading, God willing.

With progesterone, you can go right back on it, go put your supp in right now! That test is positive my dear. I assume you are on 100mg twice daily right? It is still early in the day to where you can do two doses.Try to go to bed a little later today to get your second dose in. It happens to me all the time with cream.
It took everything I had in me to not take the frer right now. I did not drink anything (besides tea) all day as I've been preoccupied with these tests. I used a wondfo and an opk and dumped the sample. LOL.

Robin, I definitely see it today. I thought I saw it yesterday but today, I have no doubt.
I wouldn't stress too much about the progesterone. I'm assuming you've had lower levels at times and that's why you're taking it? Have you read many studies supporting its effectiveness? I'm not really sure how low yours was but I work with an OB and when I was put on vaginal progesterone with my last pregnancy in August, he said it was just my doctor doing something to have done something. He says there really isn't any significant scientific support to progesterone supplementation. I continued it because it couldn't hurt but he didn't believe that it would be a game changer.

Roe, I'm unsure if your doc was referring to progesterone and pregnancy or progesterone supplementation generally speaking. It is absolutely wonderful for hormonal imbalance and adrenal insufficiency. There's lots of science behind that one. As far as pregnancy, I'm unsure.
What we do know with certainty is that Stopping progesterone suddenly will cause bleeding to occur, whether pregnant or not. It is often used to induce periods after long anovulatory cycles.
I do think some doctors use it just for extra measure and many women don't need it to sustain a pregnancy. Regardless, if it is stopped suddenly, it will induce bleeding/miscarriage.
I used large amounts during the 2ww last cycle in order to induce a strong ovulation this cycle, and it worked :) I love me some progesterone LOL. ;)

He was referring to it in sustaining pregnancy because that's why I was prescribed it at 15dpo.
Question...I used it until I had a d&c at 12 weeks. I'm assuming there was a chromosomal issue that made the pregnancy non-viable. I'm wondering if I would have most likely miscarried earlier without it? I never bled. Just went in for scan and the heartbeat was gone.

Yes, you would have more than likely bled sooner, but sometimes miscarriages take forever even without progesterone. I've seen women go a couple of months without miscarrying after the heartbeat stops and eventually they induce it. Tough to tell what will happen in those cases.

Cosmo im going to be that little devil on your shoulder again...test with the frer tonight or in the morning..Wondfo is 25 MLU sensitivity and the frer is going to have a darker line than even that wondfo..i know this because i had a good positive on an FRER with levels of 10 per blood results. Thats what i am betting robin is at and with that line on a wondfo which has a smaller sensitivity that FRER should give you a decent line to make you a happy camper.
picture for proof
34955
That same day within an hour of that FRER i had a positive 1-2 weeks on CBDWE. later on in the day when i had results from a blood test my levels were at 11.5...so they had probably gone up a bit since that morning in order to double in the next day or so but still puts me with VERY little HCG in my system to get both a positive on an FRER and a digital that early :) thats why im such a huge supporter of CBDWE lol

My SMU test showed up MUCH faster and was a bit darker than my FMU one. For me, it makes most sense to do it this way because FMU still includes the night before's drinks and body fluids. Think of it like a water pipe. When you open the faucet, you are getting water that has been sitting there a while. You'd have to let it run a bit to get new water. Make sense?
My afternoon urine was actually the most concentrated today because I went without water all day pretty much. I'm catching up now and so my morning urine will be diluted. I got myself in a bad cycle because of the OPK's.

This is at 11dpo, FMU and it took 3-5 minutes to show up. I'm gonna take it apart and compare it to the frer I took 48 hours ago, but I'll do that later today. So is this a confirmation then? DO I really need to take another frer in 48 hours? lol

Roe, the temps will vary. I have seen BFP charts with lower temp and mine are settling in mid range, not as high as I thought they'd be, that's for sure. Crampy is a very good sign imo :) I wish you the best and will be here until the end of Feb! lol ;)

If you open up frers and flip them with the back facing you, the lines are a bit darker on the back, enough to be able to capture it on camera without glare from the plastic film on the front. Try it and post for us :)

Robin please remember it takes 2-3 days to get darker lines on tests especially with FRER's...they suck anymore ever since they changed the design...the flat FRER's had MUCH better lines imo...in the mean time take care of yourself and take another test tomorrow afternoon/night...i know you are worried that you need to stop the progesterone if the baby isnt viable but trust me..your O date was off..you just arent that far along is all..give baby some more time i am sure they are working hard :)
speaking of Off O days...cosmo i think yours is off too. The tests i took that were that light i thought i was 10-11 DPO..i was only 8 DPO.

MAYBE 19dpo, which makes me 10dpo today. 20dpo is really pushing it and not probable in my opinion, not with the hot flashes from the night of 17dpo and other factors. I had alot of sharp pain that was shooting from my uterus down to my leg 2 days ago. It lasted a few minutes and I've been quite crampy since. So it may be that the implantation was later than I thought. :)

No more shadow, we have an actual line now. I wish I had waited for the frer! lol. Now we just have to wait and see if the bean sticks. Test with a digi tonight but try and do at least a small hold. if nothing else and you usually wake up to pee at least once in the middle of the night use that pee to test.
I also think that is positive maxim :) looking at your chart your temp is also on the way up. get excited, but not stressed. you had EWCM yesterday too it looks like..all good signs.
I would BD again tonight. depending on how long it takes you to O you may end up not having an attempt in your fertile window if you rely on last nights attempt.

You should ask atomic, although I doubt she is on the forums at this time. Are her instructions to BD E4D and then again at +OPK? I believe she mentioned she wanted you to have two attempts to be sure you got pregnant.I read through your thread a while back and I remember something along those lines.
Follow her advice and don't second guess yourself. The test looks positive from this angle, but I see discoloration in the middle of the line. It could be because it is a cheapie, which is why I suggested you confirm with a digi. I'm not familiar with the advanced monitor. You may want to go get the pack of regular CBD OPK's (pink ones). That will tell you for sure.

Maxim, I do not have near the experience that a lot of these other women have, however, I wanted to respond with my opinion in case others are asleep. Considering you BD yesterday, I would personally not BD tonight unless you get a peak reading after your 4 hour hold. Well, the wait is getting to me. I promised myself that I wouldn't test until 10dpo (24 hours) but I'm literally dying! My focus at work is terrible. This is consuming me. I know temps are just a guessing game and vary cycle to cycle and person to person but if anyone has any opinion on my chart, that would be lovely. I feel like my cramping let up somewhat yesterday, I could barely keep my eyes open watching the Bachelor last night (guilty pleasure [emoji85]) and I have some creamy/lotiony CM but not a lot. Thanks ladies!
Maxim, I think you made the right choice by holding off on BD last night. I once got 11, yes 11, "high" fertility results on those advanced OPKs. It turned me off from OPKs for a long time until someone suggested the pink ones that just give you a non-fertile vs fertile result (empty circle or solid smiley). GL!!

your chart looks promising, but I don't know the history of your temps. Do you have a page where I can see multiple charts?
Check out my chart (in signature), see how my temp fluctuations got really small after implantation? I NEVER have small fluctuations, all of my charts are full of big ups and down with the occasional flat line for 2 days. So, in my personal situation, the small fluctuations are what made me really try hard to get my two lines in a picture. I just knew that a bean had implanted :)

I am totally out of cheapies...I ordered through amazon and they should be coming late tonight. I'll pick up the CB one with just the smile or no smile? Or keep testing with the one that I have with the low/high/peak??

your chart looks promising, but I don't know the history of your temps.
You girls are so techy! [emoji6] I have no clue how to create a link to my charts. Do I need a certain level of membership with FF?
Looking back at old charts, Like you, I tend to have much larger temp fluctuations leading up to AF.
Did you test this morning? Any progression?

My wondfo is a bit darker today, but I can't be bothered to try and capture it on camera. They are just not camera friendly until the line is much darker I suppose. I'll be doing a frer tomorrow and I'll post that one :)

Ha I've been there girl! This our first month ttc after my m/c. With my m/c experience last fall, I'm trying to give myself as minimal stress this go round as possible. I found this site literally 3-5 days or so before it was go time! I didn't have time to do the dietary changes. I eat a lower calorie diet normally 12-1300/d, exercise 6 days/week but I eat a lot of protein and lift some weights [emoji57] I know the cut off is debunked but I wanted to give it a whirl. We did O-3, 1 attempt and jump and dump after 3-4 minutes.

cosmosis
February 14th, 2017, 01:46 PM
Yes, evening time is best imo. What you can do to stretch these tests out is use the cheapies and if you suspect it is positive, dip the digi in the same urine to verify.
maximbella
February 14th, 2017, 02:17 PM
Thanks, cosmo! So this one is okay to use more than once a day? My other one (with the circle, flashing smiley and solid smiley) is only meant to be used once a day with fmu. Thanks!

You can use the CBD more than once a day once the circle or smiley is gone of of the handle. It's not like the advanced. It's also calibrated to use urine from any time of the day. The directions say to be consistent to be able to detect your surge

You ladies are crazy, it took me forever to get caught up on posts. :)
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY
Robin - HUGS I am sorry to hear about your numbers. FXd for next month!
Cosomos - Congrats! Will be looking for that great line on the FRER tomorrow.
Max - I know I am late to the game, but I use Clinic Guard for my OPKs and find they are great for me. I use Sure Predict for my cheap hpt. You are just going to have to relax and just bd e4d or e3d until you either O or AF shows up. You seem to be quite stressed about everything and that puts you in BLUE territory as far as I know. If DH wants to have a good time tonight for Valentine's Day - go for it!!! He will be more apt to keep TC if you are not stressed and you let him get some BD time in. ;)
fox - good to hear from you. FX for you this month too.
If I forgot someone - I'm sorry. You all have been posting maniacs. ;)
AFM - I have such weird signs right now. I got a low temp this morning and EWCM today but a non-existent OPK. SO who knows what is going on. I forgot to do my OPK yesterday, so I guess I could have missed it, but seems early for the way my cycles are going. I am sick with a cold too, so that could be messing it all up.

Cosmo cant wait for your frer!!
Maxim I think Shannshaff makes an excellent point about bding if hubby puts the moves on. If you need another cycle to keep trying then give him some honey to keep him sweetened up 😉
What cd are you on shannshaff? And when do you usually o?
Afm - I'm cd3 so the waiting to o begins.... will start using opk cd12 and expect to o cd14 as usual. My period began the night before I recorded as cd1 as it was just before bed. So weird as for my entire life my af has started with fmu. Since my losses though and maybe even when I was swaying? it's mostly come during the day or evening or sometimes starts as spotting (which I never ever got, always started in one heap lol). Anyway enough musing about my af 😂😂😂

There is definitely progression :) I am very disappointed at how light frers are though. My wondfo is much darker than my frer today lol. I'll have to wait 4 days from now to take my last frer so I get a bright line, maybe even later than that?
So for the question about wondfos, they are very reliable and cheap. I do love them, BUT if you get a BFP, you will be hurting your eyesight for a few days until you can see it clearly. It does pick up very early though, sooner than frers. Capturing it on camera is another story. LOL.

*My cervix was lower on CD19 and on CD20 it was so low, it was almost at my vag opening and super duper firm.
*I had hot flashes the night of CD17 and this is very typical on O day for me, I usually don't get much sleep the night before O. This is due to all the hormones doing all sorts to get the egg out.
*If I had O'd on CD20, this would put implantation on CD26 and I was already getting a very faint line by then.
These are my reasons why I'm sticking with CD18 as O day. There's a chance of two beans, in which case it would explain some things, but I'm not holding my breath for that lol.
ETA: looooooool on your crock post. Only in Australia :p hahaha. Here in Canada, we also get flat frers, not curved ones :D

25 pack ordered ✔️
I was going to try SMU just for comparison because I've never done that before. I've only had a few sips of water to get me through my workout. How long should I try to hold?
Cosmo, your progression is lovely and gives me hope [emoji1316] I'm a firm believer in listening to your body. I can almost always pinpoint O day because I know my body by now and I'm confident about pinpointing it!
Thank both of you ladies for your thoughts and encouragement.
