I'm doing better MS wise- I still feel ick once a day usually at night. What has changed is I feel exhausted all the time. I could sleep all day. I'm going to try exercising again to see if that gives me more energy, or makes me more tired 🤣!

I hope everyone is doing well!

I feel like my gender scan is so far away it's annoying me !! Wish the harmony was more affordable - at least u can have that Roe and have confidence baby is all ok too I wish they were cheaper here in UK.

Good luck with the exercise XX - I keep wanting to start again but also cannot find the energy hopefully it'll come back soon!

NIPT is totally not in the budget for me either. I wish it was.

I doubt I'll have a scan until the NT, and then the anatomy at around 18 weeks. I think I'll book a private scan at 16 to try to get a sneak peek. Honestly though, I'm sure it's a boy.

When will you schedule your gender scan and how many weeks will you be then?

Since I'm over 35 (I'm 37), my hospital prefers to have is done close to 20weeks. I'm going to try to have it done at 18-19 weeks. I feel that's not too early for them and earlier than 20 weeks for me! That's puts it either the first or the second week in May!

I feel the same as you Fox. I have to believe this is a boy, because I don't want to be disappointed. I have never been before, and I will have to be strong for my DH. It helps that I'm excited about our boy names. We only have one girl name so far and it's starting to grow on me.

I just can't help but feel like so many people online and IRL are getting their DG, and I won't. I mean, someone has to have an opposite. While I had a much better sway this time around compared to my last sway, I've seen far to many people with awesome sways get opposites and people with just decent sways get their DG. I just feel like I've had too much good fortune lately- moved into a much larger, nicer house, I got pregnant after thinking it wasn't going to happen, and we sold our old house for a fair price. I just hope there is enough good fortune left for my DH to get his DG.

Here's to hoping and praying we all get our DG 🤞🏻[emoji1317]!

Brilliant words right there ^^^ for u XX - u seem a very kind loving family person and deserve a daughter to complete your family - I was just having a chat with my husband and said il just be upset if this isn't my daughter that that's it book closed I'll never have a girl and that is what's hard to accept .

I think boy for me most of the time - then il have a really bad day of nausea and think it's gotta be a girl so who knows !

Awe, you ladies are too kind! I have no intuition and no gut feelings about what the gender is. I've learned from past pregnancies to not focus on symptoms or how you are carrying to predict gender. However, this pregnancy is completely different from the rest from symptoms to heart rate, to how I'm carrying. It's to be expected though- I've never had a vanishing twin before and this is my fourth pregnancy so I'm bound to carry differently. I think the safest thing for me to do is to suspend all judgement, because I won't be giving myself false hope or a false sense of security.

It helps that I don't have any gut feelings or intuition, and of course you ladies for me to confide in [emoji6][emoji4]! I don't know what I would have done without all of you on so many levels! [emoji8]❤️!

Good afternoon ladies :) lot's of catching up to do here.

XX, *big hugs* I can totally understand how you feel. You did everything you could and you did a wonderful job with your sway, try to keep positive about things and just the way you accepted that this is a boy, I encourage you to accept that this is a girl also. This will leave you more at peace.

Have any of you looked into EFT? It is short for "emotional freedom technique", aka, tapping. It really works wonders, and especially in cases where there is resistance, fear and anxiety. I haven't sat down to do it in a while, but it really does help.

I'm thinking of getting a private scan at 14 weeks just to see how many are in there and possibly get a nub shot. I won't be getting any other scan or the harmony test, so that would be the closest I'd get to gender reveal, if anything.

I'm having some sharp pains with a little cramping today and of course, it has me a bit worried.

When do you ladies usually stop sleeping on your tummy?

XXforhubby
March 12th, 2017, 01:35 PM
I'll have to look into EFT. I'm curious!

I bet the pains are just your uterus stretching, making lots of room for your bean!

I don't ever sleep on my tummy. I do sleep on my back and stop mid-way through the pregnancy when it stops relieving lower back pain for me. I would think once it feels uncomfortable for you, you should try to find a new position [emoji3].

Crashing to offer advice..any of you ladies in the throw of morning sickness try milkshakes.. not the kind you make at home... go to a McDonald's or some other food place (Arby's was also good as an example) and get yourself a milkshake. Any flavor should be okay. I don't know what it is but it's like a morning sickness cure in my family... dairy in all its other forms made me super sick, but not milkshakes. Go figure.

Worked for a few cousins and friends as well :)

Milkshakes worked really well for me with DS1 but for some reason just the idea is turning my stomach a bit.

I have an appointment this Friday, but it's just with my regular GP to talk about a referral and such. I'm not sure if I want to try a new doctor/office or just go right back to the group that I used with both boys. Last time I tried seeing someone a bit closer and he hadn't even heard of a condition I have a history of (Cholestasis), and wasn't willing to research.

Amelia, I've gotten fairly lucky so far. I'll be only 7 weeks this Wednesday but I've felt pretty darn good. I know it could still be coming. I've had very mild waves of nausea but not bad. This might be TMI but I've had more loose stool and I've read where some people's MS goes that way...new for me.

That's how my MS was with my DS3 early on. Then it switched to horribly sour stomach that I couldn't figure out until I was about 13 weeks. I had to take Zantac twice a day for the remainder of my pregnancy and STILL had bouts of sour stomach as late as 28 weeks!

FX you get spared, haha!

I can get a headache from a strong smell and can even taste it for hours after smelling it! I haven't cleaned my house in 2 weeks because my beloved green cleaners smell stays in my mouth all day after using them! Luckily I can use my toilet bowl cleaner. It better let up soon or I'm going to have to hire someone to clean my house!

The top of my bathing suit literally burst open at the pool today! Luckily I was able to improvise so that we still got to swim. Pregnancy boobs have definitely kicked in, full force. I've also never been this bloated. I haven't gained any weight, but I can't even button my favourite pair of jeans! Even my regular leggings are feeling a bit snug at the waistband. I'm in the exact same boat. Good aversions to everything, but so hungry. Then when I do eat I feel nauseas. Did not have this with my girls... had a little nausea with them but mostly just my acid reflux. Hoping to see little bean tomorrow at my first apt! Oh Fox! I'm glad you were still able to swim with your littles!

This is my 4th pregnancy and I have a clear baby bump. I expected it though. However, maybe it's because I'm still breastfeeding 3 times a day still, but my boobs haven't gotten bigger or tender. This is the first time this has happened. Normally I have to go up in cup size or band size by now! It's strange how every pregnancy is different! I too haven't gained any weight yet. I fluctuate between 1-2-0 lbs when normally I'm up 5-7 by the 12th week.

Wonderful news XX!!!! What a weight lifted. I could not imagine.

Update on me:
I am STILL in limbo. Ugh. I thought for sure when I got my Friday betas back yesterday, that it would all be over. Then I get the numbers from yesterday - today and they went up significantly. I am still real weary of the low numbers, but maybe a small little bit of hope. Here are the stats:

XX, I'm feeling good. I was getting stressed about the prospect of skipping out on the next few months to avoid a Christmas baby, so it was a big relief to sneak into the November due dates! So far I only feel sick when I first wake up and it goes away once I eat.

That's so exciting your nub scan... Er, I mean NT scan, is only ten days away! I'll be stalking for your update big time.

Hello everyone, Ive been mia for a minute, how is everyone doing? I've been ok still really no morning sickness, but the mood swings are the worst, I feel so negative all the time, and some days dont even want the hubby near me, I've always been a super happy pregnant person, and now I just don't want to e around anyone and Ive been super sensitive such a cry baby right now, thats something new also, really trying to deal with this, because its really gotten to me, like I wanted to get my bfp so bad and still happy I did, but there are some days where I think what the heck have I done, I guess it's just, because of my terrible mood swings its almost like postpartum depression, I know that sounds crazy. I'm also not able to eat much, just don't have a appetite, and things I used to like taste funny to me. I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow. Hope you all are well

DesiG I could've written this the other day : I had an awful dream that I had a baby boy and I wanted to actually kill myself I know it's so extreme but that's how I felt in my dream then I woke up and thought gosh I hope I don't feel that way in real life - some days I feel so horrendous that I regret getting pregnant thinking why am I ruining the dynamics of our family making holidays more out of reach and other things a little more difficult - I was so exhausted on the diet though I was glad to have my bfp but now I don't feel as excited this time round
My last pregnancy from bfp I just wanted to fill my house with baby stuff but this time I don't I don't feel anything when I walk down the baby aisle in the supermarket I feel quite distnant from being a new mummy at the moment but hope my feelings change as the sickness subsides
I also hope u feel better too :)

Hang in there DesiG! I am super emotional with this pregnancy too, and I am not an emotional person! My emotional reaction is more intense. If something normally would annoy me, it makes me angry now, if something would hurt my feelings, I cry now. Ugh, there is no happy medium and I feel like an emotional train wreck! It's getting better somewhat, but I'm ready for it to stop!

I'm glad you have a sticky bean in there!!

There are psychological conditions in pregnancy ♡ Antepartum depression is a thing, and I had it and antepartum anxiety BAD. Please consider speaking to a therapist or counselir if you can, it really can help.

I was going to say this, too. It's normal to have some mood swings or intense emotions in pregnancy, but if you feel like it's more than that you should talk to your doctor.

Ahh got to see our little bean yesterday! Met with my very first midwife. So excited to go this route this time! It will be nice to have someone else supporting my natural births. Will having daring scan next week at 9 weeks but just felt so good to see a baby in there!! With a heartbeat Will 9 weeks be too early for the skull theory? Is that suppose to be more "accurate" than the ramzi?

I'm 6 weeks and 1 day, I've had no symptoms into my his morning then had the urge to hug the loo! I'm dreaming pink! I'm already obsessing as I didn't puke with any of my 4 boys or my mc (9wks)!

ramzi is luck at best ladies. i have had two girls both of which i tried pretty hard for a boy for that implanted and were on the right in the early scans per techs...they are for sure girls and ramzi didnt work with them. One of my older ones (found their old ultrasounds) were also on the right and is a girl...one was on the left as well..but if you think of ramzi as being right 1/4th of the time in that scenario if it works at all then thats horrible odds of being right IMO

Welcome Erin and Robin :) glad to have you two here!

Alright, so I got this intense middle back pain since last night. I can't sit or be in bed comfortably :( It is right at the epidural area which is the same area that hurt very badly my 3rd trimester with DD. Can't start THIS early, can it?
I'm gonna try and get an adjustment today. It is very painful.

That's exciting Butterflies! I had it done with my DS3, and it was great knowing early! We aren't this time, even though I'm older, because our insurance doesn't cover it nearly as much as my old insurance plan did. I just can't justify spending that extra money. Plus, given my vanishing twin, it won't be accurate anyway.

Morning ladies :)

Looking forward to gender reveals and nub shots! :) I'm more concerned about having one or two in there than I am about gender lol. I haven't gotten in with a midwife yet and still working on that.

I'm having cramping and it has been going on for two days, so right when the back pain started. Should I be concerned? The back pain is middle back, right where epidurals go, not lower back. I'm going in for an adjustment in a few hours and hope I get relief for the back pain, but the cramping has me worried.

I wonder if its relaxin related? Maybe everything stretching out and all that.

What over the counter nausea relief do you ladies take? DH got me dimenhydrinate last night and it knocked me out. I definitely can't take that during the day, which is when I need it most.

I just ordered sea sickness band and morning sickness tea. I also picked up my diclectin prescription from Dr yesterday. I am officially ready for morning sickness to kick in. I don't usually get until week 6.

Cos - for me, I had to have something concentrated in sugar first thing in the morning, just to get out of bed. Sometimes pickles and lemon drops (candy) would work too. I usually ate dried fruit. I noticed that if I kept my blood sugar up, it was not as bad.
I have been told to use the B6/Unisom (Doxylamine) combination, but B6 makes me throw up (not the best side effect for getting rid of ms ;) )....the Unisom will make you tired for the first few days, but you will get used to it and won't after a while. You could always try 1/2 pill too. I took it in the evenings and would have a better day the next day.
Other than that, ginger, peppermint candies, sour stuff, small frequent meals, and crackers were my go to aids. I know I will be needing this info soon enough.

So looking forward to the upcoming gender reveals...does anyone else seem to think time is just flying? We all just found out a short while ago and now many of us are nearing the end of the first trimester!
I'm having a weird skin reaction at the moment and am under a consultant to find out what's going on...apparently it is pregnancy related but I've never heard of this kind of thing before...anyone else? I know I haven't given much info but that's because there is none to give...other than red hot patches of skin appearing in random places on my body. It's weird and I hope they figure out what it is soon.

Cosmo, I wouldn't worry too much about the back pain if it's that high up. I'm sure it's just the hormones relaxing everything and things getting out of alignment. My hips were doing that on and off a few weeks ago. The Chiro helped a lot.

I'm so sorry that some of you are still feeling ick [emoji20]. It should let up some by the 12 week mark for the reason that Amelia stated. It may still linger but it shouldn't be as bad. I usually feel ick for about 2 hours in the evening/night that isn't near as bad as earlier. I sometimes feel ick off and on throughout the day, but I can eat. I just can't eat too much. If I eat more than 500 cal per meal, I get horrid nausea and can even puke still 🤢[emoji20]. It's not that bad as long as I stay in my limits [emoji23]!

My midwife mentioned the options of genetic testing but that was all and continued on. I won't see her again until 12 weeks. Will it be too late for the harmony or matern1 or whatever it's called? I heard 10 weeks is the normal time to have it... excited for us all. We are getting there and should all be feeling so much better soon! I'd just like to have my house back to its normal self, and feel good enough to do more with the girls as the weather is getting nicer.

Pickles and pickle juice it is. I also had an actual meal today.... a gluten free, dairy free pizza. I ate the whole thing. In my defense, they are quite small.

I got some ginger extract and B6 and it seems to work okay with nausea, but food aversion is still there. I decided to just stop any starches as they are making me put on weight >_< so now I dunno what I'm gonna eat.

At night, I get sudden and intense chills. DH calls them "cold flashes" LOL, but for the most part I'm super cold all the time.

Looking forward to all the scan images and gender reveals :) Also looking forward to feeling better in a few weeks!

You can have them at any point, my OB suggested getting one only if there were any abnormalities on the anatomy scan at 20 weeks. Unless of course you are in a high risk category, or have genetic concerns.
The earliest you can draw blood for the test is 9 weeks, but better for accuracy sake to wait till 10 weeks.

Most of the OBs I've talked to are very much trying to discourage the use of these tests as "gender tests" as the drive up health care costs and most people are getting them unnecessarily. But heck, I was tempted! But after he speech I got, I'll just wait for my free scan at 15 weeks. [emoji849]

I would rather see more people getting it covered, higher lab capacities, and more people being screened. When I conceived my first, I was in in the lowest possible risk group for a chromosomal abnormality and it happened anyways. Obviously that's a ways off still though.

Hope everyone is well. I'm going to go read up so I know whats going on with everyone of you.

Anyone else feeling flutters of early movement? I have off and on the last couple of days. Last night was a clear flutter of the baby- he or she did not like me on my left side!

It's hard to believe I'll be 12 weeks in 2 days! Time is flying by!

*sigh*

I too get get cold alot, my feet feel like ice at times.

We have our dating scan tomorrow! Can't wait to see the little bean again and I'm a better picture. Along with hearing how strong their heartbeat is.

I did not know that I'm havinv that test done, but I will not see my doctor again until a day before I turn 11weeks, should I call and get a sooner appointment?

Hi fiveboys maybe go get bloods drawn they are way more accurate than test after test and it could have alot to do with how concentrated your urine was at the time.

Hi girls, just wanted to check back in. Thank you for the support the other day. Cramping got better on Friday after I put my feet up for a while. Spent a lot of the weekend on the couch watching college basketball with DH. I've had some decent nausea settle in over the past week. Not much sounds appetizing to eat but I'm surviving. My mom has been in town from Florida since Friday and it's been hard to hide how crappy I've felt and I'm beginning to wonder if she's picking up on the fact that something's going on with me. I was hoping to wait and tell her once we get results of the NIPT.
Anyway, I have my first OB appt on Thursday and I'll get to hear this little nugget's heartbeat again...FX. I'll be 8 weeks on Wednesday!
Looking forward to everyone's early scans and the upcoming gender reveals!

I've no clue on Ramzi Tara sorry!
However I can totally relate to anxiety regarding gender - I haven't even had my harmony test yet and I'm so worried about the results (gender side) I'm obv hoping baby's healthy too -

I'm already thinking if it's a girl my life is complete I can get on with my life and this black cloud will disappear that's followed me for 2.5 years - I can shop for pink and know il have my little mini me forever and my husband will be so pleased too plus my eldest only wants a sister !!
If it's a boy I don't know what my reaction will be or how il cope again with shopping for blue and telling people - the hassle of another c section for something I didn't really want (sounds so awful but exactly how I feel)
No one understands so I'm hoping it's ok to vent here ... anyway just dreading it all and hope I've done enough!
I can't stop going over My fitness pal totals for 12 weeks working it all out and looking at old sways still I'm obsessed !! Doesn't help I feel terrible with sickness and fatigue I'm being a rubbish mum hardly plying with kids at the mo I just watch them play instead of getting on the floor and joining in I just don't have the energy or mental motivation to play at the moment due to all this anxiety!!!

Butterflies, I totally relate. I'm feeling so anxious about this. I really don't want another baby after this, but I just feel like I'm not ready to give up on dresses and bows. On the future of having a mother/daughter relationship. I really just want this baby to be a girl so I can close this chapter of my life and see where we go next.

I can totally relate to your post Butterflies! I too have so much anxiety about this baby being a girl. This is the second time I've swayed for a girl for my DH. My first sway I was my own undoing. When it took several months for us to get pregnant, I began to micromanage my sway thinking that "this" needed to be changed or we needed to add "this" in to help. Basically, I ended up swaying heavily blue unknowingly by the time I got my BFP. This time around, I got a chance to do the sway I wish I would have done last time. Even though I feel confident I did all that I could and more, I too hope it was enough. This is our last baby too, and I am praying that this is my DH's much longed for baby girl!

I'm sorry you're really struggling BB. I hope so much you get your daughter this time. I felt like this the entire time swaying. I had such anxiety over everything I put in my mouth and the timing of the foods, BD, everything because I know I'll feel such guilt if this is indeed another boy. I couldn't bear each BFN because I knew it meant another month of anxiety filled swaying. Since my BFN the anxiety has decreased only because I know it's out of my hands. But it's still a huge struggle.

Last night I had a dream I opened the little envelope we plan to have the sonographer write down the gender in, and it read boy. In my dream I was crushed, I crumpled it up and just wanted to crawl in a hole and never come out.
The thought of passing the girl section again and going through all of the sparse and unattractive (to me) boy items again, I almost can't bear it. The lingering feeling of "our we really done now having kids or not" that will come with this not being our daughter. Having to send my tiny boy off for a circumcision, the labor for a child I will struggle to welcome, just everything. It's too much. I woke up in the middle of the night with my heart pounding.

So I can relate. I hope we get our daughters. And that if we don't we learn to cope and at least get past this hard time in our lives that feels like it will never pass until we meet our little girl.
:::hugs:::::

@ Butterflies...so you'll be expecting your results by Friday but will have the test this Tuesday...is that right? If so, that's a super quick turnaround! I'm asking so many questions about this NIPT test because I'm strongly thinking of having one done and just want to know other people's experiences first!
I've called up a place that's relatively local but chatting to other people about their experience is more exciting. Do you have your results sent to you via the post/email as well as the phone call so you have official documentation?

This place is probs the only place we can all vent and say what we really feel inside. This pregnancy is the first one I've actually thought of girls names, with all my boys I could only think of boys names. Strange.
My worries are the results for harmony, like I won't even want to answer the phone even though if I don't find out asap I will go crazy.
I'm dreading the 'it's a boy then, will you try again' 'ha ha a football team' and when they think I can't hear ' bless her she so wanted a girl you can see it in her face'. People are not being nasty we just take it that way cos gender disappointment is real and I want as much time as possible to get over it before baby arrives cos I feel so much guilt when I look at my little men and think how I felt back when I was scanned for gender!

I got mine done on a friday afternoon and results were back to the docs by the Wednesday morning . Im in Melbourne apparently bloods are sent to qland.
You either book it online or ring up and have to pay infull before the test.

You have to go to the doctors to get results and doc will give you documentation .

March 21st, 2017, 11:56 AM
Good Morning lovely ladies!

GMarie - Congrats on twins! So exciting.

Exciting that we will start to get gender results soon! FXd for all of you ladies.

BB, XX, Want, and everyone else...I am so sorry to hear about all of the anxiety you are feeling. I fully know what you are going through. I have not even let myself think about this little one yet. I just know deep down that it is another boy. I am just preparing myself to hear that at delivery. If I even make it that far. I feel so detached from it all, but am having HORRIBLE pregnancy symptoms. This really sucks.

Update on me, I had my 6w scan yesterday. Good news is that the baby is in the uterus. We were very concerned about ectopic. But at the scan only a yolk sac was seen the the gest sac. No fetal pole or anything. So we are still in limbo as to if this pg will even progress. I just don't know how to feel at all.

Hey Shan, this happened to me in a previous pregnancy. They brought me back 2 weeks later and saw a heartbeat. Did they give you a time frame for re-scanning?

I'm on board with all of you NIPT ladies! I'm anxious to have it done but freaking out about where I'll be when I get the call. What if I'm at work?! I guess the alternative is to not have it done and wait till an anatomy scan. That doesn't sound ideal either. I'll be 8 weeks tomorrow and my doctor uses the Panorama test which can be done at 9 weeks or after. Anyone know of a reason to wait until 10 weeks? I feel like I've read that in multiple places but not sure the reasoning why?

The reasoning behind waiting until 10weeks is in case someone is not sure of their dates. The NIPT tests can be done any time above 9-10 weeks. The reason people often have them earlier is in the case of any genetic abnormality.

My OB said that at 9 weeks he had several people's test coming back inconclusive for gender because not enough fetal DNA was circulating in the maternal blood yet. So the costly test would have to be repeated. And at 10 weeks it was much more accurate.

Symptoms advice.....
Well I get nausea with my boys and that's it.
This time I've been extremely bloated, burping and swollen abdomen and this morning is second morning Ive actually vomited. Is this morning sickness? Has anyone else got belly size of a 6 month pregnancy (at 6 weeks) ha I was sick last week so thought was one off and not ms as don't get it usually! Maybe I'm reading to much into it but really feel this is a pink one

I've had far more nausea this time and I'm bad with smells too - I've also had diarrhoea every morning (sorry tmi!) so I've also had different symptoms and I really felt it was a girl for a while but now I'm back to thinking boy really hoping I'm wrong though !
I've had a bit of bloating but not too much but I am in stretchy jeans now not buttoned ones !

I know ppl say not to read into symptoms but it can't be helped can it ! Xx

Bb I can't help it. With all four boys I had a super human nose and even air con was making me nauseaous where as this time I've had stuffy nose since the beginning and my sense of smell hasn't changed. I've never actually thrown up when been nauseaous previously where as now I just get urge and heave then sick. God I wish I wasn't so obsessed

It's hard not to read into symptoms, isn't it? This pregnancy is nothing like my other three, although there were elements of those that were different from one another too. This time, I've had possibly a vanishing twin making it completely different. I remind myself of this so I don't get too ahead of myself hoping it's a girl for my DH. Knowing my luck, it would've been fraternal twin boys anyway had the one survived 🤣!

It's hard for me to read into symptoms because my two boys pregnancies were night and day different. I have been getting migraines though, and I've never had one during pregnancy before.

I had a dream I had a daughter last night, but instead of being a baby she was between my two boys in age.

How is everyone feeling?

Hi ladies! Can I join the group? Today is the first day of my missed period. I went to the doctor this morning to get lab work because I've had mc in the past. 35498

I took the test this morning...I'm not having any symptoms which worries me but I have my fx and I'm praying that this is a healthy sticky bean. I stopped swaying so I can't be upset if its a boy as for right now I think I'm content with that.

I felt great over the weekend (away form normal life and kids haha!) came home and the sickness is back - nowhere near as bad as two weeks ago but I'm still having to eat bread regularly to stop the nausea .

XX - I can not wait!!!You would thing this was my scan. :)

BB - What a cute baby! Sorry you could not get the bloodwork done.

ahorn - welcome. So exciting to see new BFPs!!

Jconger - Cute little one. I have no advise for the cyst. Sorry.

Want another - glad you are feeling better. Give me hope.

AFM - I am still hanging in here. I have been so nauseous the past few day. :( I thought I was actually going to throw up last night (and I almost never do). Got a call from the Dr office and I thought they would have the next steps for us. Oh no, they did not even know I had the scan done. No results were sent to them. :( So frustrating. Hopefull we get a call soon. I figure the only thing we can do is wait. I don't want to get another scan in a few days and have them tell me it is too early to know, so I think I will just wait till April 10 when I have free time without kids. That way we will know for sure one way or another. These scans and blood work are starting to get expensive.
Anyone else start to show early? I look 5 months pg already and there is no way this is the pg, I am only 6w2d.

Welcome Mumma! I am due November 1st!
I have had the major bloat going on too! I'm ok in the morning but by the end of the day I'm looking round and kinda uncomfortable.
This bloat is definitely different than my pervious pregnancies. My nausea isn't horrible and comes in waves which is different too. I feel exhausted even after 10 hours of sleep and my boobs are still soooo sore.
Anyway, I have my first appointment with my doctor this afternoon. I'm 8w2d and hoping that she can find the heartbeat with her doppler and that all is good. I'm guessing she will schedule me for the NIPT today as well.
Can't wait for gender reveals and scan pictures from everyone!

Roe - That is so exciting!

Amelia - good to see you. Sorry you have been down with headaches, those are the worst.

BB - sorry you are still sick. I dry heaved for the first time (of many I am sure) this morning. I can smell something bad in the kitchen, but can't find the source. I hope to fix it this evening because I get sick almost every time I pass the kitchen now. UGH

XX - I too am stalking for an update!!! I am so excited for you.

AFM - still no word from the Dr. I checked yesterday when I was there for my boys yearly check-up and they still did not have the records. I hope they were able to get them yesterday and I will hear from the Dr today. I just want to official report. It is a good thing the techs let me watch the last part and talked to me about what they were seeing. I would be going nuts without any news. MS has kicked in full force and being lightheaded/dizzy with a headache is new. Never had that before. I fully expect to be sick all pg since my last one the ms never went away. :( I hate that part so much.

I have a stuffed up nose usually and have to take my prescription nasal spray to breathe daily. I also am sensitive to some smells, mostly perfumes and cooking, but they don't seem to make my nausea worse. They just seem to give me a headache from the intensity.

I'm just relieved that the baby is healthy since I was SO sick early in my pregnancy and had to be on an antibiotic, pseudophed, and Tylenol! I hate taking any medicine in the first trimester, let alone so many! I did take the lowest dose possible to relieve my symptoms, but still!

I wish the tech would've printed the still image when she explained her guess. I mean it was classic, long, flat and parallel. TBH, that's what we saw during the whole scan, even when the baby was upside down, haha!

It's excellent news how is your Hubby feeling ? Have u had the blood test taken yet ? Mines being done Tuesday It can't come quick enough!

I really think this is your girl I would be elated with a nub like that - my boys were both sticking up at this stage I def think it's easier to spot with boys my friend found out she had a boy from a tech at 13 weeks here in the U.K. Where they are less likely to say what they think at that stage - I'm so happy for u I hope you're the start of a big pink surge on this thread [emoji175]

I'll believe it when I get the call with our results from the genetic counselor at our hospital! Oh, and the tech said this was a classic girl nub. Sweet story:

She didn't want to know the genders of our 3 children prior to doing the scan. When she went over the nub theory with us and gave her guess, she asked what our 3 children's genders were. When we told her, we all got touched up, because she said that while nub theory isn't 100%, she would be shocked if our baby turned out to be a boy.

While I am excited, I also am reminding myself that this very well could be a boy, and he will be just as welcome and loved if it is so.

FX we all get the gender we are hoping for 🤞🏻[emoji1317]!

I'm tempted to go get a private scan to get a nub shot. I'm not exactly sure when to go though and I wonder if they'd book me so early on as most gender reveal scans are around the 20 weeks mark.

If you decide to, get your scan at around 13 weeks. The best range is from 12w6d-13w6d. The earliest gender can be reliably detected via US is 15 weeks, according to what our tech said to us today.

I've been looking at allot of nub shots over the last couple of months and every baby that's on the right seems to be a boy and on the left seems to be girl, does this tie in with the ramzi theory and the whole implantation on right/left side? I would be super super excited if I was in your situation right now xx, delighted for you and I hope all your dreams come true, which you deserve!!!!! Xx
