11 DPO, but I'm not temping (just counting O day as the day after +OPK) so it could be 10.

Okay ignore my obsessiveness but this is SMU with a cheap mid******. Last test I'll post today, promise. :D

Sorry I missed this with all the excitement lol.

I'm doing better, the spotting went away and we BD'd again with no problems. My cervix continues to bother me but I guess it is because it has alot more bloodflow now. I'll try and get in with a midwife asap to have a quick look.

I have checked in with my old due date group from last year & over half have had failed sways. Some only swayed for a month & others longer. I am totally prepared for a boy & something tells me this more & more lately. To be honest I just dont see a girl in my future  I have swayed for so long now & I have given it a good shot so I have no regrets. We even applied for PGD which was a lengthy 12month delay & we were told no. I know deep down we have tried everything to get our DD I just dont think it is every going to happen.

Ladies, going by due date group is really misleading. It's just too small a sample size. Use the year by year or better yet the overall results because that tells you what is really happening.

(((Huge Hugs))), kc! I know how hard it is to sway for SO long and getting BFNs. It sucks! There seems to be a split with long term swayers getting DG and opposites. It's just so hard to predict. It makes me extremely nervous too- it took me 1yr!! Hang in there! I know it will happen for you, but it sounds like you need to decide if you want to continue TTCing or not. Just keep doing the best you can and give yourself a break! TTCing is rough!

I know - one group doesnt really tell you much at all. The other thing that made me a bit frustrated with the whole thing is when people dismiss the idea of swaying when they only swayed for a month, continued to eat chicken & god knows what else & then got their opposite. PGD is the only guarantee & as you already know we have already tried to go down that path. You do need to go into the whole swaying thing with eyes wide open & be prepared at the end to love the baby in your arms regardless of gender. We also dont know what else had affected their sway. Perhaps the daily exercise built a lot of muscle mass, or frequent coffee through out the day raised kept their blood sugar raised. We will never know as their are just too many variables to consider. All I know is that I have given it my best shot & just want to be pregnant again.

PGD isnt allowed in australia unless there are medical reasons to do so. Our oldest DS has autism which is on the "allowed" list, however we were still refused by the ethics committee that govern it in our state as we only had 1 autistic child not 2. Ridiculous! We could have potentially applied in other states but that would have added to the costs & difficulties substantially & we just dont have time on our side to keep getting refused.

Some cycles are better than others. Sometimes I get super bummed and kind of take a bit of a break. I'll put away my thermometer and opks and just wing it. After a few months, I always end up coming back to it. I think it's because a lot of people in mine and dh's families are having babies right now. It makes me want another one that much more. I can tell you that I've definitely done a lot of crying and yelling about still waiting for a baby but I still think of holding a baby in my arms and that brings me right back to ttc. So don't feel bad if you have to take a break from ttc or eat some chocolate if that's what it takes to get your head back in the game. Remember that we're here for you if/when you need support and we won't be upset if you need to take a break from the boards. (I've done that a few times too!) :bighug:

just ate way too much chocolate but I figure in the 2ww it isnt going to matter that much. Im just having a really bad day. Struggling big time with my 3yr olds behaviour & my eldest has been sick. Sometimes it just feels like I am on a never ending treadmill & I cant see the end in sight. I am sure I will feel better tomorrow. Thankyou ladies for being able to vent. It really means a lot.

Hugs kc!! I understand the difficulties. I have been swaying for years now technically. I swayed one way or another for my last 2DSs. It is really tough. Hang in there and praying you get your BFP real soon!

Robin - just an FYI, since you did a trigger shot, OPKs won't work for you. They pick up the HCG from the trigger and will be positive. You might want to test out the trigger if you have some cheap tests that way you will know if the trigger is gone and you get your real BFP!!!

awwww kc this is a whirlwind of emotions,, im actually finding swaying more emotional than when i done ht, but even with ht we are still not guaranteed our desired gender, i was devastated when i couldn't find out the gender until transfer day, after all that money and hormones bouncing, but in a way looking at it now it was for the best as i probably wouldn't have this crazy bouncing boy sat on my lap :) i never thought that i would have 6 sons by 37 but i know until my dd comes along i will never feel complete :( keep positive and the great thing about this site is that we all have similar feelings on this journey so we are never alone...

well i was so thrilled about finally getting a solid smiley last night on my advanced clearblue but then an hour later i just done the normal clearblue digital that goes from negative to solid without the flashing and that was still negative,,,how can i have one solid positive and one negative?? i had a good read though and i see that the advance one tells you 4 days before where the normal digital is 2,,so hopefully im correct and i should have a solid smiley on the normal digital tomorrow,,aww confusing especially when to bd so i bd last night and i will again when i have a solid on the other opk to cover me,, my husband said he feels like a bloody rabbit with all this sex and releasing lol, is anyone thinking of doing the harmony test once we get our bfp? they are so expensive but it would be nice to know so early x

kc15880
March 1st, 2017, 05:41 AM

I've given serious thought to saving to do PGD in the US, if I don't get a girl. 4 kids would be a lot for me to deal with, but I'll still be young enough to get a decent shot at PGD when my kids are in school. All in all though, I think it's just too much money, we should be saving for travel, college, and retirement.

Lolabelle- DTD every day in the fertile window only works if DH is young and has a very high sperm count. Otherwise, he will be shooting blanks and won't be able to get you pregnant. Only very few DH's can do this!

Fox, that is fantastic!!! Definitely a positive, so thrilled for you!!

Lola, with my first pregnancy, we weren't swaying, just trying to get pregnant. We dtd 3-4 times in the fertile window and still ended up with girls. I wonder if diet plays more of a part than the number of times? Meaning if your body is acidic, it won't matter how many times you bd since the Y sperm will be mostly killed off? I don't know if that's how it works?? ;)

Also, I just looked at the statistics from the boy sways (and pasted below). Am I reading it correctly that one attempt in fertile window also resulted in 70% success for boys?? Am I having a blonde moment and misinterpreting?

NO. OF ATTEMPTS
1

- Success % 70% success
2

Wait until tomorrow :) I know it is difficult. One temp doesn't mean anything, you have to wait to have a few to derive a conclusion. If you drop below 98F tomorrow then I could possibly be inclined to think BFN, but even then it could just go back up the next day. Be sure to take temp at the same exact time under the same circumstances for the best accuracy :)

Afm, I could use more eyes here. Is this finally a positive OPK on CD20 or not quite there yet?
35188

I last DTD on CD17, and I would really like to get pregnant this cycle to avoid a December baby. I expect multiple positive OPKs this cycle as I had 4 days true positive last cycle. Should I DTD again today (putting me at E3D), or wait until tomorrow?

It doesn't look positive just yet, but any minute. I'd say start testing multiple times per day at this point. I'm not sure about BD though.

Cosmo, really?!?! Burakoam (who I literally stalk daily lol, poor thing!) said the same thing, but my temps were low this morning and that made her second guess (and me too!). I don't see anything at all... :(

Should I test with FRER and cheapie again this afternoon? Or wait until tomorrow?

Just to play devils advocate here...I always get better results with a 4-5 hour hold and limited fluids and an evening test... maybe save the frer but do a cheapie [emoji6] I'm a poas addict. I'm 24DPO and still peeing on Wondfo's every morning [emoji15][emoji85]

I just scrolled through the messages again and my screen is brighter than earlier and I didn't have to look twice. Now that I'm looking twice I'm second guessing myself. I reckon we should wait until tomorrow.

I think I'm with you Cosmo...I think I see a pink shadow. I'm struggling with the picture. When I try to zoom in just a smidge it gets too fuzzy to tell. FX for you maxim! It's still so early!

Robin do you have cheapie hpts? I know ladies have tested daily to watch the trigger shot fade out then if it darkens again you know its a bfp. Might be worth doing?

Shannshaff I'm sorry :( how many dpo now?

Lola did we end up being cycle buddies? I'm 4dpo. I cant remember lol its such a crazy time leading up to o!

I'll collect some fmu and when she comes over I'll do the tests and cover with a piece of paper. That way she can check the digi first and if its bfn then I still have a chance of a faint line on the frer - I say she as I'm not sure I can bring myself to look first.... easy@home is wondfo and they both claim that it is for the day before AF is due, but reports online claim otherwise. I got a clear (but faint) BFP on the easy@home before the frer showed anything convincing. I couldn't get it on camera for you guys until 10dpo though, and even then it was a bit tough.

Shannshaff 9dpo is still really early, and happy your lp is normalizing :)

Just some info for those of us that test early, if 'average' implantation takes place between 6-10dpo you need at least 48-72 hours to produce enough hcg to show up on a sensitive hpt. Please bear that in mind when testing between 7-10dpo especially when not using sensitive tests like frer. You all probably know this anyway but thought I'd mention it just in case :)

We moderately tried last month, but no luck. I got Clearblue (non-flashing) OPKs this month and started using them on Sunday at CD 9. Open O Sunday, open O Monday, open O Tuesday, open O to-WAIT. Smiley?! I don't think I've ever gotten the smiley face so early in my cycle before (CD 12?!). The lines on the stick don't look quite the same darkness, but hubby and I BD'd right away. I see a discrepancy in colors there. A shadow. I think you may have implanted in the last 2-3 days, so if it sticks you'll see it get darker in the next couple of days.

I told Roe this also, but the problem with testing early is that you will see chemicals come and go. I believe that most women who see shadow lines and throw them out saying it is an evap (unless it is an actual oddly colored and obvious evap), to later get AF actually had chemicals. I have done a fair share of experimentation and I'm pretty confident in that conclusion.

Anyway, in order to avoid totally geeking out, I'll stop there. Try an evening test today and keep this and yesterday's stick. Label them of course.

Cosmo I read somewhere that it takes 2 days after implantation to get a positive pregnancy test. It looks like yours dipped yesterday! Maybe tomorrow you'll know.

I am super bummed right now. DH couldn't "cough cough" preform last night due to back problems and just overall stress/pressure of this whole thing. Last night was THE night my RE said to DTD. We had dtd the night before (night if trigger) but dr made it clear I was to DTD night if trigger, next night and night after that (tonught). Ovulation can happen 36 hrs after trigger so last night would have been perfect.

I feel like I am totally out of the game. We have only dtd cd 12 and cd14. Temp spike today a bit but not enough for confirmation of ovulation.

Thanks - will test again tonight.

Robin - is there a chance you can sneak in a lunch dtd? I remember when we were trying for #1 and my husband got really weirded out by formally trying. Instead of having nighttime sex, I would ask him to meet me for lunch at home or something like that to change it up. And it made it fun! These days I'm too tired for that, but it was good when I was younger lol....

Robin - Skipping a day will not be detrimental. Just get it done today. ;) Is there a way to put on a movie for the kids and sneak away before 9pm. I know if we wait till the kids are all asleep, we would always be too tired to BD. So we have to get creative and tell the kids that Mom and Dad need to "talk" for a few minutes.

I have my second ultrasound and blood work tomorrow morning. I'm so excited!!! I'm hoping that I'll have 3 nice, big follies!!! The naysayer part of my brain keeps telling me that I probably won't have any follicles that are mature. 😕 I normally ovulate on cd12-14 and tomorrow I'll be cd10. I'm assuming my RE is also hoping for mature follicles tomorrow. I'm not feeling as bloated as I thought I would which kind of worries me. I've spent too much time with Dr Google the last few days. Lol! I'm starting to psych myself out.

Good morning everyone! Took my morning test and it looks like another BFN. I'm not entirely surprised, but I am sad and disappointed. My temp went down a tiny also, and in my gut I know that AF is on the way in the next day or two. We have a babysitter tonight so that DH and I can go out to dinner...I plan on talking to him about trying for one more month, although that would mean December baby (which is fine), but we live in a cold climate and thinking about snow days, being stuck inside, etc. during the cold kind of scares me. I'm also starting to worry more about the age gap the longer this gets pushed out (as is, the girls would be 6 and 8 when a baby is born, and there's no shot of trying for a 4th). Part of me is wondering if this is just a sign that it wasn't meant to be....I got pregnant with both DD's without barely trying! Anyway, here's my sap story for the day. Wishing everyone else better luck today!

you should know maxim you cant just test and not let the POAS addicts look at it...i demand photo proof! You cant always go with temp drops unless it dropped you below cover line..did you look at Cosmo's early chart? she had peaks and drops for days! but stayed within where she needed to :) You are still well within your lines to be in the game still. Also remember that I give or take a day from you so you may only be 10 DPO and not 11...let me see that damn test!

Your girls would be such momma bears & would have their own real-life dollbaby. I wouldn't let the age gap hold you back, but def understand you wondering if another is in the cards for you. Not to me they don't. I see what could be a line on the frer and I also see a forming line on the wondfo. I'd like you to put a positive opk next to the wondfo with tomorrow's photo ALONG WITH today's test. So that will be 3 tests together right next to each other.

Not trying to make you see something that isn't there, but I see it. Let's see if it gets darker :)

Maxim, the first pic is day after implantation, 2 days and 3 days. The second pic is 4 days after implantation.

So, if your egg implanted 3, 2 or 1 day ago, you won't see anything really unless you wanna drive yourself nuts doing so. At 4 days past implantation, a line will begin to form more clearly. Enjoy your manicure :) Let's see what the next few days bring. I know its hard, hang in there :)

Maxim, hold out hope! You're still really early in your 2ww! The next few days will show a lot. Also, my youngest son will be at least 11 years older than the DC I'm trying to get pregnant with. So, I wouldn't worry about the age gap. I'm 10 years younger than my oldest sister and 10 years older than my youngest brother. I'm also closest to my youngest brother, so the age gap really doesn't make a difference for siblings. :)

I am pretty upset about my appointment. I have 1 fucking egg. Sorry for the language but I'm pissed. It's mature (18mm). I didn't spend $2000 to get the same number of eggs that I already make every damn month on my own!!! ARGH!!!!! Of course my body is going to be a jackass and not respond to the meds properly. Now I have to decide if I still want to do the iui or just do timed intercourse. Should I even waste the trigger shot (they're $100 each and I'm supposed to do 2 - 1 now and another in a week)? And of course it's on my right ovary and I'm fairly confident my right tube is blocked with scar tissue. I am totally devastated and feel betrayed by my body. I'm hoping next cycle my RE will double my meds as I was supposed to get 2-3 eggs in a fsh cycle. I know what you mean! I would still do trigger yes! I'd be upset at the fact that you only had one egg too. That's alot of money for the same affect. Are you going to do the iui?
How many iui cycles will you do before ivf? I only ask bc we are in a simular situation.

We're 99% sure we're out this cycle bc we only dtd twice before ovulation due to hubbies back pain. I am now deciding if I want to just skip it all and go straight to ivf. I just can't keep going through the process and struggles. Most people have no idea how much time and energy it takes to go to these clinics daily and then to take these crazy meds that costs a Fortune and have serious side effects! Only to what .. not get pregnant each month. Like it's exhausting.
We have been diagnosed as "unexplained subinfertility" at this point.. meaning it's not quiet as bad as infertility bc it hasnt been a year of trying. This gives little to no comfort since there are no reasons for us not getting pregnant.

Momma - I missed your update. I am so sorry to hear that you only got one egg. :( I would still do the trigger. You have gone this far and it might just be what your body needs. HUGS

Robin - how many months have you been TTC? Didn't you just have a mc a few months ago? or am I mistaken? I have no known fertility issues and it has still take us 3-8 months to conceive. So you are definitely not out yet. Hang in there! I know it can be really rough. I thought it was never going to happen with DS3. It took 8 months.

Maxim, I use 2 trigger shots per cycle, so it's about $200 just for the trigger shots.

Robin, I'm not sure if we will ever do ivf. My insurance covers $2000 for iui, so at this clinic that's like 6 1/2 iuis. I'll pay the other half for the 7th one out of pocket if I need to. I'm hoping to get pregnant before we have to consider doing ivf. I've read that if you aren't pregnant after the 3rd iui, then it isn't going to happen. Since my insurance covers them, I'm going to get all 7 of them, lol! I just hope I have enough gonal-f to get me through 7 cycles! Although, my RE said he wants to try back to back iuis next cycle. So, then I'd only get 3 more cycles of iuis after this cycle.

Thanks for the support Shann!

I'm going to go ahead with the trigger and iui this cycle. I'll have to skip the next two cycles because we aren't allowed to travel for the cycle of or the cycle after an attempt cycle, and we have to go to my nephews' graduation in May. So, I won't be able to try again until June!! That's so far away!!! Hopefully my one little egg is goldie the golden egg and I'll get a bfp this cycle! :)

Hugs moma and let us know what you decide.

So, I get to kind of decide when I take the trigger shot. I know that iuis typically sway boy, as you're injecting the sperm in the uterus so it doesn't have as far to travel. They said I can trigger at any time tonight or tomorrow morning. They said that you usually ovulate about 40 hours after a trigger shot. My iui is scheduled for Sunday at 11:45am. So, what time do you think I should trigger? Should I try to get the iui timing a little earlier than 36 hours (the ideal timing for iui for pregnancy), like maybe trigger 30 hours before iui, or should I trigger 36 hours before the iui to increase odds of conception? I'm hoping that my girl friendly lifestyle will help sway girl despite the sperm being closer to the egg. What do you guys think?

Momamia I would definitely be doing whatever is best odds for conception. You have one egg and you still have a chance of a girl with iui but not if you don't get pregnant. I wouldn't be doing anything at all to lessen my odds.

That's very true!!! I also feel like I'd rather have a baby than nothing at all, so that helps me feel better about triggering 36 hours before iui. I appreciate your input Pbn!! :)

I would keep testing with Wondfos over the next two days. You may have only implanted three days ago, and it can take a few days for HCG to register on a HPT. Trust me. I was equally frustrated with my DS2! I couldn't get a positive on any test until 21dpo! He implanted late and was a slow to produce ample HCG. He is very healthy now [emoji6]!

FX you get definite answers soon!

Momamia, if you know for sure it's the right ovary and that one's blocked, I think I'd just have a normal attempt and save the money for next cycle when hopefully you'll have more eggs. Your call, though. I'm very cheap, lol.

Maxim, personally I think that looks a lot like the indent line I got on FRER for like five days straight last cycle (it never darkened, then AF came). My faith in FRER has been shaken! But if your temps are high it could be the real deal so keep trying and see if your line changes. To respond to your earlier post, if your DH is on board for trying longer, I would definitely skip temping and OPKs altogether and just BD E4D. You were so stressed about o last month and it seems like it only messed to your cycle. Skip all that stress!

Shann, are you still spotting? If it's just a little bit and goes away, try not to worry (I know, easier said than done). Lots of women have light spotting and perfectly healthy babies, especially when it's very early.

I'd like you to post yesterday's wondfo, today's wondfo and if you have an OPK laying around with 2 lines include it. Line them up and take a photo of all 3 together like I did for mine (posted them yesterday). Your wondfo isn't blank.

ETA: Your frer didn't have an "indent" yesterday. I don't think its an indent. prefer to be optimistic to be honest. Whether you get AF or not doesn't mean there was never hCG in your system to begin with ;)

I seriously hate wondfo's...i get the appeal, really i do..they are cheap and you can just test endlessly because of it..but damn their lines suck. I dont think thats an indent on your FRER either max.

Max i encourage you to keep those tests and look at them later. In my opinion the wondfo's dont get decent lines of any kind (even really light lines) until they have sat 10-15 minutes

Really?? I swear I don't see anything on the cheapies, they look stark white to me. And with the FRER, I see it but it's sooo light, and I think I dipped it more than 5 seconds, so thought it would be an indent. I stared at it for literally 30 mins and I see it and then dont...never realized how confusing these tests can be! I am out most of the day today with my girls but will post tonight when I'm home. So this time, I'm going to stare at it & analyze it at 10dpo. I'm still reading into every little sign. Things taste a little funky with a bad aftertaste, frequent urination & slightly nauseous, but maybe it's all in my head or maybe it has to do with this lingering 2 week cold-ugh. Yeah, maybe my "indent" was actually a chemical and I shouldn't be so skeptical. It's just that I got a clear pink line on FRER at only 7hcg post-miscarriage, so when I see a "shadow" on FRER I imagine it must be below that, and below 5 is considered not pregnant, right? I trust the wondfos more, actually.

Anyway, I do hope you get a BFP Maxim.

Eeeeeeekkk maxim!!! I see that for sure!!! I agree with xxforhubby, use your wondfos to go nuts testing on and save your next frer for 48 hours after this one. Fx so tight!!!!! Oh and your chart is looking fabulous!

Lola the frequent urination is me too!!! As in I had no fluids after dinner because I'm sick of getting up at night, still peed at least 3 times before bed, then again at 11pm and then had to take my temp an hour earlier this morning as I was busting!! Fx it is a real symptom for us both but I've had what I thought were solid symptoms in the past on bfn cycles so I don't trust them 😂 sometimes I think I want it so bad that my body fulfills my wish by acting pregnant when its not 😂

Hi and welcome artisam! Did you have any attempts prior to the 27th? What day was your pos opk on?

Erin I'm with you. I had a few cycles last year when I would get what I referred to as the frer fake line as it wouldn't get darker and then after a couple/few days would be stark... it really threw me at the time and I really started disliking frers. But since then I haven't had any dramas so I'm back in love with them lol. Not sure if it was just a bad batch or chemicals?

Well, it is not good news from me. I didn't test again this morning. Last night the spotting went from pink to red and I was woken up at 3am with HORRIBLE cramps. I am still cramping today and the flow has gone from spotting to very light. And more cramping all day. My temp dropped as well. I definitely think this is a chemical. I am praying that AF starts up full real soon, or I will have to go to the Dr to see what is up. UGH. I showed DH the positive test today and then tried to explain the cramps and bleeding. Not sure if he fully understands and I could not say the words mc just yet. :(

Wow - I go to bed & you all have 4 pages of conversations without me! 10dpo & no sign on AF yet - but there is a long day of waiting for me ahead!! Hugs Shann. I am almost certain AF will show soon. If this month doesnt work I think we are going to have to drop the 1 attempt & go for E3d next time.
