I'm cd9 and starting digi opk testing tomorrow morning 😀 haven't used them in ages but going all out for my last cycle lol. Took my last clomid tablet this morning and just have to hope it delays o although we are getting a heap of rain atm (thank god as everything was dry and dying/dead) that may close roads between us and mum so I may be home over the weekend after all. Anyway excited to see what the next few days brings!

Good luck!!! It's looking like tomorrow will be full blown af for me. What sucks about that is it means I have to go in for bloodwork on my early starting work day. That means I have to get up an hour and a half earlier than usual tonight get my blood drawn before work. Ugh!!!! I am not a morning person, so this is going to be especially difficult for me. :/ Hopefully it'll all be worth it with a bfp for my last cycle!!! :D

I wasn't going to, but my type A personality took over! ;) But I am doing it more low key - taking temps in am (missed a few days) and trying not to overanalyze my OPK's, which I just started taking. Really hoping that I O earlier this cycle. We are going away for our anniversary trip next week and I'm afraid if I O around that time, I'll get multiple attempts in my window and sway blue... :big smile:

What has worked very clearly on this forum is ONE attempt for a girl and multiple attempts for boy. Swaying involves many different factors not just one or the other or any one supplement. For your case, you should post in the general swaying forum and ask Atomic for some advice.

You should get very clear on swaying and also have a good talk with DH so he'll be more cooperative. :) Good luck!

Unless you're in a hurry, it's best to stick to one attempt. The next step up would be every four days plus an attempt at positive OPK. Once you start adding in attempts you start getting more and more blue. I would definitely keep one attempt if you haven't been on the diet long and aren't in a hurry.

ashfind, I'm doing every 4 days plus one attempt at positive opk (when it comes). It looks like that's getting good girl sways, so I'll definitely be doing that. With both DD's, I followed this somewhat without knowing it, but I think my diet is very acidic and therefore girl friendly, which probably helped sway girl.

I'm going in for my blood work and ultrasound tomorrow morning! They called and scheduled it. They were basically going to do everything the same as last cycle. That made dh annoyed so he called them and explained that it's our last cycle so we really want to up our game. The nurse said she'd talk to my RE and see what he thinks. My other RE was going to start me at 125iu of gonal-f and my current RE was going to do 75iu again. I really want more than one egg!!!! Hopefully he'll go along with the 125iu!!

Pbn-I don't have tapatalk. I do have FF, but haven't been taking temps, so there's not a lot of info. I found my basal thermometer, so I'm going to start taking my temp tomorr AM! We moved in Jan so things are out of their usual places. Not sure how to add my chart to my signature, so working on that :)

Ash-I'm also doing E4D and once at pos OPK. My OPK test line is still pretty dark..hoping it fades then gets darker again. It was hard for me to grasp the concept of 1 attempt as well, but since there have been good pink results reported here, I'm going along with it in hopes of my DD!! We had a lot of attempts for both of my boys, so maybe 1 attempt along with diet etc will be the answer we're looking for!

Ok so I'm wondering if this could even be possible.... could I have oed yesterday cd9/this morning on cd10??? Seems impossible but this mornings temp was 37.10 which I haven't put in as its a after o range temp and I had a few wines so figured maybe it was from that. However when I took my digi this morning and looked at the stick (I know its not reliable) it actually looks positive?? Or maybe a tail end surge? This would be impossible right as I only stopped taking clomid yesterday. My digi read not fertile of course as its my first one so will be interesting to see what tomorrows is...... I know clomid can give false pos opks but apparently it doesn't on the dual hormone digi. I'm thinking the clomid is messing with my temps and ny body doesn't know what's going on as I took them later this cycle lol. Weirdest thing is I had o pains last night and this morning too. Hoping I'm just building up to a really good o. No one has heard of ovulating same day of last clomid pill have you?

Yeah I read the same too Ash but my stick lines have always looked very positive at solid smiley as in test line almost always darker than control and would correspond with my dip tests if I was doing them, I also used to get a fade in so not sure what's going on but I'm sure by morning I'll have a lower temp again and a flashing smiley or maybe even open circle..... I'll find out in 8 hours or so anyway :) good night all!

Pbn, I don't think you o'd yet. I had that when I took clomid too. I had a "false surge" according to my RE. My actual surge was 6 days later. I think you're still fine. Mine showed up on a digi too, so it seems like the same thing as mine.

My RE just called. I'm starting gonal-f injections tonight at 125iu. I do that every night until Monday morning when I go back for bloodwork again. FX this does the trick!!!

Last cycle I triggered on cd10. If that happened again, that would be March 30th. I hope I don't have to trigger too much before that. That would be a really early ovulation!! Cd10 would be perfect because then I could do the iui's on Friday and Saturday, which would be perfect! OMG I hope I grow 3 big, fat eggs!! :giggle::giggle::giggle:

Lola, it doesn't show up when I check it either. I think you have to go in on FF and tell it which charts to show.

Yay Pbn!!! I knew you didn't ovulate yet! :)

Maxim, your tests look like mine. I never normally (not on meds) get a nice fade in. They go from looking exactly like yours to being completely positive and dark. There's no notice before it goes to positive. I also usually get my first positive opk at night right before bed. So, don't worry about fade in. All that's important is that eventually you ovulate. :D I normally ovulate without meds. I just know that my opks are totally different when I am on meds. It seems like the months and months of me being on meds has screwed up my ovulation. Now I have a really weak ovulation and before I started meds, I always had a strong ovulation. Weird, huh?

No maxim I only use fmu as that is what the dual hormone ones use which I love because I really dislike restricting fluids and holding. Those ones you have aren't designed for fmu and your current testing times are great! Honestly even if your urine is abit diluted when you hit your peak I'm sure you'll still get a pos opk especially as your testing twice a day. There's no way you can get your hands on the dual hormone ones? Takes away the worry of urine concentrate. That way you can use fmu with them in the morning and your other ones in the evening. That could get very expensive though!

Hello Pbn3. Thankyou for a warm welcome. My bad, Like I said I got a little too excited. I still am figuring out a lot here. Never knew about this thread. Anyway, I will start over. [emoji4]
We are trying for blue. We have a dd who is 5. This will be our second and final child. Both Dh and I have been taking vitamins and I havebn on diet for a few months now. This is our first attempt. It may take long though. My cycle is 28 days long usually. Sometimes a few days late. I havebn using Clearblue advanced opk and cheap eBay one. No flashing smiley yet though. I can never tell when I ovulate. Silly right. But I get my positive opk around cd14 or 15. Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks again!

No suggestions as you sound like you have it under control :) plus I'm not up on the latest blue sway wise. But it sounds like you've been doing the HE diet for a good time now. Did you run your sway past atomic? If not I'd suggest starting a thread under the the ttc a boy subforum and just mention everything you've done/are doing, then you can get feedback from the lady that created this whole swaying business here. Also other blue swayers may offer some input as well, there's alot of blue swayers atm, more than I've seen in any case!

So you should be due for a flashing smiley at least in the next day or so, this will make you our first April tester I think 😀! Let's hope you start the bfp ball rolling for us all!! And also not silly at all to not know when you ovulate. I've been trying so long now I feel like I know my body inside out 😂😂 but in saying that I still temp to confirm as opks, pains, cm and cp are only a guide, often a very helpful guide but sometimes a confusing one lol.

Ask away :) I'm on my last cycle because I've been trying since June 2015. Lost 3 pregnancies last year and I'm now looking at turning 39 in a few short months. I'm tired of ttc, popping pills etc and just want to move on one way or the other :)

Cant remember with my first if I even used opks. I think I was bding 3-4 times during my 'fertile week'. Ds2 again cant remember the brand opks but was using then and charting etc. Bd wise I specifically remember a Tuesday or Wednesday bd, friday pm (day of pos opk) and Saturday am the cycle I got pregnant (I stared at it over and over 😍). Got my crosshairs indicating o happened sometime during Saturday's 24 hour period. I was a big meat eater then, sometimes 3 times a day. Also with ds2 I had been doing some weights training, aerobics and treadmill to lose weight. Stopped when I fell pregnant.

You are absolutely right. Everyone here is doing the exact same number and times of BD to sway for boy. I m just scared to BD unprotected before positive opk so we used protection[emoji52].
I m sorry for your losses and I pray you get your sticky bean this time.I m turning 35 soon and I m really scared. I m also mad at myself for waiting so long to start trying. Sure. I am kind of hung up on the idea of BDing a lot of days before O, sways girl. After coming here, I realized that a lot of things I read on other sites were not right but I m still scared to BD unprotected a lot of days before O. The idea of BD close to O is stuck in my mind.

Atomic will tell you, but timing doesn't seem to matter, but amount of attempts do. I had a hard time accepting this, but giving my e4d and 1 at pos OPK a shot. I have never been on the HE diet and have been a vegetarian since I was 13, so I don't think diet in this case helped me conceive boys. However, there are certain "boy friendly" foods that I love that I have completely cut out this time (since last June) such as potatoes, bananas, salty foods & dry cereal. Don't know if this will really help, but makes me feel better. GL & sending my blue baby dust your way!!! With all of that being said-any factors that helped you ttc a girl the first time (even unknowingly?) :)

On a totally different front.... One of my friends recently adopted a baby from China. They were pregnant and lost the baby at 37 weeks in utero. It was horrific and they decided that they didn't want to try again, and went the adoption route. My husband and I were talking about it last night and said that if we don't get pregnant this month, we are going to look into it as well. We are blessed with two beautiful girls, and as much as we want to have more of our own, there are so many babies and little ones in need. I looked briefly online and the stories are just so sad. Has anyone ever thought or looked into adoption?

Max I have several friends who wanted to adopt but ended up going through the foster care system (in the us) and they get their choice of what babies/children they want to take because they always get a phone call first and they can say yes or no. I have two friends and between the both of them they have adopted 6 children this way. It's much cheaper you get 10k for taking in your first child and your definitely helping the children get out of an unsafe house and sometimes even an unsafe foster house! GL maybe this is why you haven't gotten your bfp yet. Something more is meant for you :)

Question-I'm getting signs that I'm about to O, EWCM & the usual pain in my right side. I'm trying to stick with the e4d +1 with pos OPK plan. I seem to O around cd12/13, so I think it will happen this weekend. If my last BD day was Mon, should we BD today today(Thurs)or Fri? Which day would be better if I do end up with a pos OPK on Sat/Sun and get another attempt in? Or does it matter? Already getting nervous that I'm going to mess up the 1 attempt!!!

Thankyou Ashfind. I m waiting for the flashing opk which hasn't occurred yet. Dh and I were doing after Af but stopped two days back so that we can have our 3 attempts in the fertile window. E4+1 is hard I think. Specially during O.

Thankyou Lolabell. I am not using preseed but taking Mucinex and drinking a lot of grapefruit juice which helps with the boy sway. And eating the boy friendly food like you mentioned.

For my dd, We were ttc for 5-6 months and I remember that we didn't dtd a lot. I was dieting and skipped breakfast most days so swayed for a girl unknowingly. But we did try to dtd eod starting day 11 and beyond day 16 since we were getting worried and impatient. That is one of the reason I m scared to try unprotected before POS OPK. That's all I could remember.
I come from a family of a lot of girls and just one boy so sending you all the pink dust. All the best and so great to have u all sharing the same experience.

It is almost 8PM here & that was tested with only a 2 hr hold. I'll test again in the AM with FMU. I always have strong right sided pain that lasts 2-3 days, so this must mean I'm close to O if not already there. Think I'll continue with the BD plan tonight & then maybe again tomorrow night to cover all bases. Hope it doesn't mess the sway up, but just going with it anyway! Interested to see what my temp is tomorrow AM...unfortunately I haven't been taking temps for very long. Sky it depends on many things put together not just bd frequency, or timing etc. 7 attempts in a row will sway pink for some and can really lessen the odds of conception (hence the idea it sways pink as hubbys swimmers are not recovering optimally between nightly bd's) I really wouldn't recommend this at all for you. Eod (e2d) sways strongly blue if you think that would be easier than a cluster of attempts at pos opk. Multiple attempts have shown to be the best blue sway wise but this of course is in conjuction with the diet etc. Hope this helps :)

Sky I think the pink only gives you your O day but the purple ones start flashing from what I've seen 2-4 days before O so like once you get into your fertile window. Was right for me, 98% of the time I oed day after solid smiley, the other 2% was when I got the solid once on o day and and a couple times 2 days after when I started testing at night too. That's why I went back to just fmu lol. I did many many cycles using these digis so luckily for me they've been super accurate! Hope they are the same for you!

That's exactly what I am doing. Thankgod I used the pink one in the evening too because I may have screwed it up (advanced one)by testing more . I just wanted to check one more thing.
I usually get pos opk on day 15 which means O in next 24-48 hrs. That will be like day 17 or 18. And then I get AF on day 27 or 28. Does it sound normal. I have read something about luteal phase. What's that?

Hi sky! At mums but crazy busy with dinners baths etc. I wouldn't be concerned about your lp unless it falls under 9 days. If you've been on the le diet awhile it can definitely change your cycle. I went from a 14 day lp to a 12 day lp with the occasional 10-11 thrown in lol. It has since increased back to 13-14 days awhile after I stopped swaying. If it does concern you though then consult atomic as she has different methods to increase lp :) sorry I cant be of more help atm, I'll only be able to pop in here and there the next couple days. I'll update in morning of course as to what my opk says!

Good Morning everyone (or afternoon depending on where you are haha). So today's OPK looks even darker to me, O pains are stronger, temp is the same. I'm going to go ahead and call this one my +OPK. I got my attempt in last night (boys finally drifted off to sleep) and planning 1 more attempt tonight. Hopefully that does the trick!! Yay!! FX for all of us!! Dancingdiva, I usually drink Throat Coat tea with raw honey in it. You drink it like every 4 hours. It always does the trick for me. If you don't like the tea, you can just eat a tablespoon of honey every 4 hours. It has healing properties in it. I know it sounds like voodoo but it really works! :)

Since you ladies have been my sounding board, I am going to update on what the Dr finally said from the U/S report. I am not nearly as confident as they are. They said the Sac measured 5w4d and that since it was so early, that explains not seeing anything. Also, they did see an SCH - so that does explain the bleed. But my question is how could I have "just caught it very early" and got a BFP on 6dpo as they claim. I went in for my scan at 6w and only measured 5w4d. Not much difference, but could mean a lot. I got my fist BFP at 9dop...so there is NO WAY I am off 3 days on ovulation. They schedled a regular OB appointment and just want to go from there. UGH. That appointment is scheduled for 4/10 which puts me at 8w. If they want another scan, it would be another 2 weeks after that for me to be able to get one done without taking time off work and going in without the kids with us. I am just not sure what to do. Thoughts?

I'll be very honest here and say exactly what I think :) When it comes to measurements this early in a pregnancy you'll find a thousand stories through dr google of people measuring behind and everything ends up fine. I agree that you wouldn't have got a bfp at 6dpo but perhaps bub took his/her sweet time nestling in :) this early in the pregnancy being off by a few days really does not mean much, it'll be your next scan that will seal the deal one way or another. Oh and the fact they seen a sch to explain the bleeding is terrific news!!! It's just terrible that you're in this limbo and if it was me I'd be guarding my heart. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best. I'm hoping so much this will end happily for you, you've been through so much and its so unfair that you're having to deal with this uncertainty :( Please stay in contact here and post anytime especially the days you're at your lowest. May be however the only difference between this cycle and others is that I m taking Mucinex and drinking a lot of water like really a lot. And drinking grapefruit juice. That's all. Everything else is just the same.

So, I need everyone's opinion.

I just did the test and still flashing smiley and blank on pink one which is good in a way that both the opks are consistent. And may be I haven't messed up the purple advanced Clearblue one by testing more than ones a day.
But I also noticed CM is more slippery than before. Sorry tmi. Also, I checked my previous cycles and I got smiley on the pink one on day 16 which hasn't happened yet in this cycle. I also noticed that pos opk occurred on cd 16 when af came in 28 days and occurred on cd15 when AF came in 30-31 days. Does that mean anything? I hope I am not confusing everyone. And this cycle af came on the 28th day. Could this mean that my pos opk will be pushed by a day?

Can waiting to release for 4 days may compromise sperm quality for dh?

Sky every 4 days is fine for sperm quality. They 'say' it takes 36-48 hours for sperm to rebuild fully after release. In regards to cm its unreliable to track when o is going to happen. My best advice I can give you is to accept this cycle is 'off' and go back to testing with just fmu on the dual digis. By all means use the other ones at night but cut back on the dual ones. All this focus on opks and not getting a pos opk when you usually do etc is not beneficial and may even be causing the delay 😕. Hard as it is try and take a step back and say to yourself it will happen when it happens and I'm ok with that :)

I might join this thread, as I'm in the TWW and should probably be testing early April, but im a POAS addict, so will probably cave in March.

I need some reassurance though...from 1DPO - until now 4DPO I keep running a fever (maximum 38.8c, around 102F)....full body aches, cough. I've been taking paracetamol to keep it down and resting. Doctor gave me a prescription for antibiotics if my cough doesn't go. Anyone else have fevers in the TWW?

Got my attempts in the last 2 nights in a row after a few days break where DH kept it all bottled up waiting for me :) Do you all think these attempts are sufficient? If I already O'd, won't the OPK begin to lighten & not get darker?

Just imagine if I got a solid smiley Tuesday morning, the one day a week my youngest goes to daycare (eldest is in school) and my dh is actually off work 😀😀 Either way I'm going to get multiple attempts in and couldn't be happier. Plan to dtd tomorrow (monday) night and twice if possible on pos opk day plus the following night just in case. Kinda like smep. Eeeeeekk I'm so excited 😀😀

Most dip test strips say to test from mid morning as using fmu can give you a false positive. Can you test again now? I think you're covered attempts wise especially if you o today.

Ash a temp spike occurs after ovulation so yes when charting the spike will occur the morning after o :) I wonder if we are going to be cycle buddies 😀😀 I think you'll have a solid smiley by Tuesday and your wondfo will back it up!

Wow lola I would say you're going to o anytime now. You weren't wrong calling your first pos a pos. Ovulation generally takes place 12-48 hours after the 'first' pos opk. You've definately hit the peak surge 😀 as for the temp yes it could be a fever. I'd leave it for now and see what tomorrows and next day does. You can always discard it if need be :) eeeeeeeeeeekkkkk you're going to be in the 2ww anytime now!!!

Hi Ashfind, sorry for a late response. I read a lot of reviews about the advanced Clearblue opk and one was really helpful. It said to start testing as advised in the instructions. So based on my cycle, I started testing on cd 10. But the reader stopped working the next morning so I opened the other box. Thankfully I ordered 3 from eBay. And I was using that throughout. It showed two full days of flashing and solid the 3rd afternoon.
Fmu didn't work for me on both pink and purple digital opk in this cycle. It was the second time after waiting for a couple of hours to pee.
My O got delayed this cycle according to me but Atomic and Throwaway_panther told me that it's not really late until cd 22.
Also, I would like to tell you that even after the solid smiley my cheap eBay stick was showing super light lines.

My guess is that the not digital ones get darker on actual ovulation. Just a thought.
Hang in there and don't stress. I was advised that waiting for O can actually delay O. [emoji52]

I would suggest you buy one more of digital ones for now.fx fx fx to you.

Ash agree with everyone that your last test is super close! I would save your last digi test stick for tomorrow morning fmu and have an attempt asap if it's solid (which I honestly think it will be). I personally wouldn't buy another box of digis being this close. Go nuts on your wondfos for the rest of today to satisfy the itch if need be :) what time is it where you are? Its Monday morning here almost 7am.

Pbn3 - the wait is killing me actually. I just have this feeling that something is not right. :( And I really hate that my Dr just assumed we "caught it early" and that all is perfectly fine. I really need to find a new DR! This one I am not happy with. She delivered DS3 because my reg Dr was on a weekend get away. And DH and I were not a fan of her. So sad my reg Dr is gone. :( I hate change. Anyway, sorry for rambling. I just don't know how to feel. I am super sick with ms and a cold. The sore throat is making the ms worse. I want4kids I stopped putting any stock in symptoms prior to 12dpo after experiencing what seemed like heaps one pregnancy but none at all on another. My usual first sign is a bleh feeling that starts around this time. Don't lose heart! Every pregnancy is different!

I spent a couple hours in bed this afternoon and even slept a small while 😮 got up to make dinner and sent dh to bed for a couple hours while I bathed and get the boys ready for bed. He finished three night shifts this morning so is understandably knackered. Hoping the couple hours sleep help him recover for our bd later lol. It's the absolute last thing I feel like doing but I'm still excited 😂 have a drippy yet blocked nose, no sense of smell, almost lost sense of taste, my sneezing nearly knocks me over and my cough sounds like a large barking dog 😂 this is not going to be pretty but we will get the job done!!! I'm sorry you ladies aren't feeling well. :( I hope you get better soon!!

I'm about to go get my blood work done. They typically call with the results around 4pm but I'll be at work. So, I'll update around 8pm my time which is in about 14 hours. I'm feeling pretty bloated and am worried that I'll start to ovulate too early. I'm slightly concerned about possibly having too many follicles. I hope I have 3 and that's why I'm so bloated. FX!!!
