Iwant4kids they are on the lowish side I guess but being we are coming into the colder months that could make a difference? I always found my temps lowered or raised throughout the year depending on the season? Have you got an older chart from last year you can refer to or from previous ttc?

Yes absolutely worth switching! You'll still get a good number of temps in before o happens. I honestly thought you were already temping vaginally 😮 plus just remembered your taking clomid and that usually can increase your temps abit or at least maintain the usual, but not lower.... strange... it is your first cycle after d&c though so things may look a little different while everything is still on the mend as such. Think this cycle will be a bit like watch and see what happens (well until your bfp anyway!)

Max-I know everyone is diff, but you're at the point where I also had a BFN with fmu at 9dpo, then BFP in the evening. Enjoy your day celebrating DH's bday, then try to do a hold with limited liquids this evening. Feel like you're going to get your BFP then! If not, it's still early & all depends on when you implanted. Fx sooooo hard!!! That OPK is looking darker right?

I know it can be depressing but it will happen and you have no time pressure now except your ready. Max-I was disappointed each cycle. Loved the idea of November baby-still nice weather in the South close to my mom's bday. Thought about skipping Dec didn't want a Christmas baby then realized it would be the best gift ever. Then a Jan New Year baby sounded perfect, but now that it has worked out to be Feb, I'm happy that we won't have to double the presents in Dec & it's close to Valentine's [emoji180] so I've grown to like the idea. I know you're ready now & I'm soooo ready for you! There is def still hope! A March/April/May baby would be equally awesome & better weather as Kat mentioned!!
LMSM-when are you testing again?? What is Feb/March weather like in Oz? Is that summer?

Max-yes pbn is right! No BFP until about 7:30 PM 9dpo. Not good at holding at all, so I did prob a 2hr old with limited liquids. I'm praying with all my might that this happens for you [emoji1374] I didn't have a line on the wondfo until the same time!!
Pbn-hope you get some rest. I've had trouble getting to sleep at night & I have counted as I breathe in and then as I breathe out trying to not concentrate on anything such as my usual "what ifs"

Morning!
Yet another difficult end of night so temp unreliable...and yet another BFN.
I hate these indent lines, which are I assume from where the liquid stops on the strips, and leaves a shadow but no colour...definitely negative. I caved in this am, I was so just queasy last night and have like strong O pains on the right...just wanted to know but still no answers, just kinda of wish AF would come early so I could stop hoping for nothing gah! If no af by tomorrow evening, will only test Tuesday like I said, by then whatever the result I know it will be reliable. This cycle the time would have been just sooooo perfect ...I guess infertile one day infertile forever, who was I kidding thinking I could just get preggers in a couple of cycles :P

Anyhoo, Max I still think I see something but since it's not irl, it may just be my line eyes... FX hon!

LMSM it could a very faint line as its hard to say if it has colour when its starting. I said the exact same thing that I didn't know if it was a proper line or frer fake line because of lack of colour. I've seen so many frers now (talking 100's) so please share a pic 🙏 and yes by all means hold off till Tuesday and you should have a good idea by then. And its not going to be a case if 'infertile' forever. There is still a great chance this cycle! You're only 9dpo. What if the pains you experienced last night were to do with implantation? You won't get a pos hpt till Tuesday in that case. So I'm going to keep holding onto hope and only admit defeat if Tuesdays is stark 👊

What you see I see what is on all 3, that darker zone in the 1 st part of the test, but it's not a line, it's the full part of the strip that is darker and stops being darker where the test line should be..hence making it look like a phantom line... does that even make sense?! :( :rofl:
I told ya, am a cheapskate, would love to poas madly with the frers but only if I was actually preggers, otherwise I feel it's a waste :rofl:

About that particular test yes. But your only 9dpo and your testing on an IC which has no where near the sensitivity of an frer. Frer can pick up as low as 6.25mIU whereas most cheapies only pick up 20-25mIU so I'll wait and see how your frer looks Tuesday :)

Ttc-I think that you're right that it may take longer for some depending on implantation. I never had a BFP before 11dpo on a frer until this cycle at 9!

Kat, this is only cycle 2, which is like barely the start of trying..but admittedly, am over swaying, am over waiting..I feel like with getting pregnant with my girls I have given enough/ all of my patience to Mother Nature and now should be my turn to be rewarded, and just fall pregnant by like looking at hubby like so many seem to... I was hoping HE was doing my fertility levels some good, and just cannot bear the thought of going down the path of fertility doctor/medicated cycles/timed sex ( or potentially ivf) , and hubby either. It's basically either we conceive naturally and soon or it's game over :(

I've been on and off forums I've read the years for that same reason ;)
But was so confident the HE would do me good!
I actually had my Amh etc tested early March as I had weaned DD2, and all came back normal..my amh was 27 so excellent for my age! Prog , Oestrogen, prolactin etc all good too ( which they weren't the cycle before as I was still bfing E).
My specialist basically thinks all is in order and I ovulate and have good chances of conceiving naturally...
Might be DHS swimmers too I guess.he just turned 39, not a spring chicken lol

LSMS - don't lose hope! I'm wondering if Pbn is suggesting EOD since you are unsure about DH's sperm quality. I thought about doing that bc I think it's optimal for sperm. But you wouldn't have to do EOD from AF to O. If you know about the time you O, you could just start a few days before. I really think with the HE diet you will get pregnant soon, but I agree feeels like soooo much work some days.

Thanks for the support ladies. My GD membership expires in a few days, so it's been over 6 months. Got off pill before that though and we informally tried. My tests from last night are negative, the IC has a faint double line but I had the same thing last cycle. The osom is stark white. Again this morning. I'm disappointed, but looking forward to a clomid cycle and praying that helps! Im going to start a new thread for atomic asking for advice for this coming cycle. I'm going to stop swaying and just try to get best odds of conception. If anyone has suggestions, would love to hear. Hope everyone is having a nice morning and happy Father's Day (for those of you in US).

Maybe ask pbn about the fact that opks are now getting darker.. I had a girlfriend tell me opks can be use as early pregnancy tests (which is obviously wrong, pbn confirmed this is wrong) but when I looked it up prior to asking, I came across multiple women who said that as they continued to take opks daily after o, the tests would go negative and then very gradually get darker (because the opks were mistaking HGC for lh) but those same women also said they got positive pregnancy tests before the opks would read positive again.

I'm not trying to get your hopes up unnecessarily, I just think there might be sometching to look forward to if your opks continue to get darker. I would get pbns opinion :)

Max-yes I do think SMEP is pretty much the same as eod starting at CD8, then 3 days in a row at pos opk, skip a day, then 1 more day. Your OPK is def getting darker & I see the faint line on the wondfo, wonder why the OSOM is not picking it up too? Mine had lines at the same time, but everyone is different. Try again in the evening, maybe the wondfo is more sensitive? I really hope it's just still early & maybe you were off a day with dpo & will see something this evening!! Do you think you could actually be 9dpo? What if you o'd on the morning after pos OPK just before you took temp?

Maxim I'm sorry the osom is negative :( but I can see that faint line on your wondfo and would keep testing over the next three days to see if it darkens. It may not be a chemical just yet, perhaps the wondfo is simply more sensitive? If you need to move onto next cycle then I like Lola's suggestion of e3d. Still in girl territory (especially combined with clomid) but can up the odds of conception. E3d will cover you nicely plus by all means add in an extra bd when you do see a pos opk to boost your odds of conception even more. This swings away from girl attempts but from memory both your girls were conceived with two attempts anyway :)

Looking at your chart, I'd say you're 8-12dpo based on your first opk and CM. Although I can't be too certain since there are a lot of wonky temps. I believe the second and third positive opks picked up a secondary estrogen surge that sometimes happens in the LP ( Luteal Phase). This can also cause temps to drop low.

Nacire, it’s still super early and digis aren’t as sensitive - you clearly have a good level of hcg in there already so it likely won’t be long before the digi will be able to pick it up! So happy for you as I know you were worried between the swaying pink & breastfeeding that it might take long, but see, and still pregnant in a flash – how good is that :woohoo: have you noticed a difference in your youngest re his feeding especially? I know that my DD1 did not seem to be as interested when I was pregnant and still feeding her! ;)

Meoab – how are you doing? That was one dark opk – and if you are having such strong pains, it’s def not to be excluded that it is a cyst –did you end up going to the ER? Please let us know!

TTcblue – won’t be long before you’re in the “poas” timing – did you settle on starting at 9dpo? ;)

Max – so sorry that it doesn’t look positive - big hugs - I’m with you there – been there, done that for so many years, the waiting, the disappointment, over and over and over – even if 6 months is in the very normal range for TTC still, it is hard when you feel like you are being left on the side of the road – but you are right being positive, fate has plans, and knows when the time will be right! I’m sure the Clomid will work its magic! :)
What’s wonderful is that you already have the girls, so you have the gender you ‘wanted’ (i.e. you don’t necessarily want a different gender to what you already have, like most of us do) so either way it goes, you will have a great family dynamic, whether that be a sorority of 3 or 2 girls looking after their baby brother! And I mean, look how cute those blonde girls are, whether it be a girl or boy mini version of them, you will be so blessed! :D

I want 4 – hope the Clomid doesn’t give you too many side effects? I know I had the most horrid O pains but the comforting thing was that I knew it was doing something to my body! ;)

Sky – thanks for your sweet words darl – I think I am out for sure – and admittedly I had hoped the crazy fertile vibes here would have made their way to me, I felt like karma should have been kind to me for once – but eh, only so much one can control (though I hate that I can’t control that – my “perfect” plans having now gone up in smoke it’s a matter of seeing the positive in it all! lol) – next month we’ll have better odds, I will diet harder, workout, and get more BD in too which I think lacked!
I have so much to be thankful for, maybe karma wants me to be just thankful, full stop – and if no bfp by September, I think we will stop TTC until probably March-April next year – just to give ourselves a break too – and maybe get Dh tested in the interim so we can start fresh (it will take him a whole to get him convinced etc).
Sooo looking forward to your 1st appointment! How is your DD? Has she picked up on the pregnancy or not yet?

Kat – yes, with hubs sperm quality unknown, anything to help improve it will be good! The SMEP seems like a great way to do it – now will have to brief DH – if we can wait until the end of AF (maybe try to get a BD in somewhere there to keep the swimmers fresh – not sure how he feels about releasing on his own given I struggle with BD during AF) to start eod, given I O between Cd13-16 ish it would only be what? 2-4 BD before the 3 attempts so could be feasible! The issue is hubby struggles with keeping up if he feels like he has to perform – he otherwise is fine, but my sheer increase in libido means he can feel it is ‘time” so I think that pressurises him a bit without meaning to…

PBN – yep drop in temp and it wasn’t that much earlier than usual so I actually am taking it as a valid temp – it’s still above coverline but definitely know I am out (don’t cry don't cry – you are at the office you can’t :( )… I will wait for AF but will try to just stick to HE – and neither booze or chocolate is good for HE (nor my skin and had plenty of choc cake after Dh’s Bday) – maybe just indulge in yogurt with nut butter mixed through it, and that’s about it lol
In Feb-March it’s the end of summer beginning of spring – so it can still be quite warm… I’m hence trying to look at the positive of what would now be an end of March/early April bub if next cycle works – likely to be a lovely time of year – so now just wanting for AF to arrive – given the drop in temp this am won’t be long I think! I will cry my eyes out when that happens and then move on…
Had hoped to be able to be preggers for when my parents arrive mid-July, and had a 1st scan to ensure things looked ok – but if waiting another month means a better chance of having a son, then so be it!

Isn’t it worth getting a tad more BD in before for sperm quality/count though? I will probs try tonight as AF will likely arrive tomorrow that way by the WE we can BD and then continue on with eod before pos opk - and then will try to get at least 2 attempts in at pos opk wgich will likely be end of next week, so might be able to get some WE BD in too…
I do think it’s doable - FX!
Anything to add in his “diet” to boost him? He has a men’s multi (he takes it most days - will police it more) – and eod has a fish oil tab and a CQ10 tab – at this stage I just want him to be in a good shape, even if we only have like 2 weeks to get him there..
Will help him to actually go to the gym by kindly suggesting it.. I mean he pays for the darn membership! lol

If you bd cd8, 10, and 12 then that's a good rollover in sperm plus you'll likely get an extra attempt or two in as well. Definately bd in the 2ww as well. I've mentioned this several times in older 2ww threads (prior to the current ladies here) that its a known fact that couples (with no known fertility issues) who bd regularly throughout a women's cycle will fall pregnant more easily or faster than couples who don't. A women's body sees sperm as an invader and will basically seek and destroy hence so very few sperm actually make it to where they need to be. However by bding regularly your body will come to accept this invader more and more allowing a greater number of swimmers to make it to where they need to be. So its not just about bding regularly to keep dh's swimmers healthy, its also to keep these invaders coming so to speak so that the female body responds more favorably. I don't mean eod by this either, just two times a week is good then up the ante when it comes to fertile window (so eod during said window)

I think I may start testing at 9dpo. It's getting a lot harder to stick to he diet. I'm not used to eating so much or so often and it's starting to get me down. I just want some coffee, ice cream and then to get this weight back off so I can wear my favorite jeans again. I know in reality I'm much healthier than I was before, it just doesn't feel that way when I'm so far out of my norm. What I'm really afraid of is gaining all this weight and then I don't conceive in 3 months, dh will pull the plug on ttc and it all will be for nothing. Then I'll just be fat for no reason instead of for a baby boy. :(

PBN - Yep, will definitely want to BD early and late in the cycle too even when outside of potential fertile window (beyond the whole keeping #s healthy)– I read about the whole woman’s body “recognizing” her partner’s sperm, and giving signals that he is there as a permanent figure not a hit and run type of guy – which also sways blue.
I already sent a message to hubby saying no baby this month – we’ll just have to have lots of sex – just got a smile back :P

Max do you mean 5-9? I asked my ob at the time about taking clomid 5-9 as opposed to taking 3-7 as I was worried about multiples and had read that 5-9 is supposed to increase quality and 3-7 quantity. She said she recommended 3-7 firstly because I was on a time frame age wise and 3-7 may release more than one egg but gave me better odds if conception and also there was no real proof that 5-9 increased egg quality. Also because I oed around cd14 was another reason for 3-7.

I'd definitely take it 3-7 as you're not opposed to twins right? Plus I don't think the risk of twins is actually that much greater to be honest. Higher - yes definitely, you are taking a drug that stimulates ovulation after all but overall I think the odds aren't that much greater to worry about. It'd have to be a decision you make. Can you ring your ob perhaps and ask his/her reasoning for choosing 5-9 over 3-7? Make ot clear you are wanting to conceive as quick as possible and see if they change it to 3-7? Just a thought?

Ok interesting! The RE said that clomid can't increase quality, just release more eggs so the probably that a better quality egg is released is just higher, if that makes sense. I'll call as soon as AF starts and confirm, but for sure want to try best odds so might go with 3-7.

Twins sounds scary to me right now, but as long as my body could carry them to term, I would do it. My frame is small and I never thought I would be able to do that...

I believe in fate as well :) I too will definitely be limiting junk if I fall pregnant. I gained 65 pounds with my first, lost all but 20 after having her, then turned around and gained another 45 with my second. After having her, I kicked it in high gear and lost 100 pounds. I was so proud.. Then I found gender dreaming 18 months later and I feel like all my hard work was for nothing because now I'm gaining it back. I really hope that I will just be able to maintain weight for the majority of my pregnancy if I do get a Bfp. Some days I pray I don't get a Bfp this cycle because I want to improve my sway, but other days I pray I do get one because I don't know how much of the he diet I can take.

Sorry Mommy2apples I missed this! And yes correct! You can start cd11 if you like but just be aware if its dark-ish then it could be from the clomid but you'll get a better idea on cd12 (it may go lighter)

If it can give you any insight my RE gave me Clomid from Cd3-5 only so only 3 days and only 25mg (half a tab)– and that was plenty to get me ovulating – I O’d around Cd12 both times and was pregnant on 1st cycle both times after 18-22 months of ttc without success before that ( I did have a pregnancy when DD1 was just 11 m.o but miscarried so all my conceptions were Clomid successes bar that one which was natural but failed).
Just a note too, Clomid does tend to dry your CM out so plan to have Robitussin or the like on hand – and it may well make you O earlier than naturally so ensure you plan for that too :)

Nacire-don't let it get you down b/c that was a clear BFP & I really believe it was just too early for it to detect. See how your wondfo looks tomorr AM & def grab some more cb digis! If you're feeling up for it try again or wait until Tues for the digi b/c I believe you will be 10dpo-just a guess from your chart & what everyone is saying. It doesn't look like a fluke so fx!!!!!

No way that's a fluke nacire. For reassurance why not do a two hour hold and use another wondfo. Expect the line to be lighter because its not fmu but maybe seeing a line again will give you some confidence :)

Nacire, second PBN – you definitely have hcg in your system, enough for the IC but enough for the digi to pick it up – a few hours longer and the levels could be high enough to be picked up by both – I understand that makes you feel down, after the excitement of the wondfo, but I think you can safely assume you are pregnant – it’s also very very early so a couple of days from now, all tests should start picking up the hcg – big hugs

Do you remember what your BD pattern was with your DDs? I'm worried that e4d won't cut it on clomid for me. I'm going to ask atomic about smep also. How do you use robittusin? Never heard of that for ttc! :)

I can share my chart for DD2, as it's on FF (will do in the am)... but my chart for DD1 is via another website and can't remember the login for the life of me (and would like to see too lol). Am pretty sure the pattern was pretty similar to DD2 though. If I can login somehow will let you know :)

I have pco tendencies due to weight gain Atomic told me. Which put me off for months! Then in May my AF came back, which made me use the opk's for the first time. I had all negatuves till last week Saturday. That's when the positives came back to back and they got darker and darker each day. We bd'ed like crazy (5 times). So this must be a positive pregnancy test correct? I did not go to my gp because I felt like testing it myself at home first before going to my
gp.

We also bd'ed twice or three times at the end of May but that was a 1.5 week after my AF ended. My ovulations tests were all negative at that time. My only concern is how I can have a positive pregnancy test this early?

BTW this is the first cycle we have been trying for real. I was very down the months before and never tested any opk nor did we bd much. Did not expect to get pregnant this cycle..I felt infertile for months lol.

For us, it happened the first month. I just assumed it would take us a few months. I felt pain in my abdomen and ovaries. I took a test and it was very positive! I took a few wondfo's this morning with fmu and they're BFN :( Is this even possible, maybe a bad batch of test?! I've been feeling achey for the past few days in my lower abdomen. Nacire back in April? a lady called dreamingella got a bfp at 6dpo then nothing for two days before getting an obvious bfp three days after original bfp ao hang in there! Could just be that particular test was super sensitive and the ones this morning arent. I will see if I can find the post/s later and copy/paste it to here :)

Im so sorry :( I think you should get in to see your doctor, or give it a few days as pbn said. I'm hoping it was just a sensitive test to where you get more Bfps in the next couple days, because that first one was definitely positive and it's pretty rate to get a fluke positive. FX for you!

Pbn, when bd e4d (to keep dh counts up) I know you should from af-o, but what about from o-Af (the 2ww)? Should we be doing e4d all the time or is it okay to take a break after o? I thought you might know, instead of having to post to atomic.

Ttcblue if your not temping to confirm o then it's a good idea to continue e4d either until af or at least twice more after you *think you've oed. Are you doing e4d then multiple attempts at pos opk? From memory you'd be 5/6dpo now and had 2 attempts this cycle?

TtcBlue18 - No worries! AF isn’t due till the last day of this month if it’s a longer cycle (33 days). I’m not going to stress myself out more than I have. I will wait it out and hopefully it will be positive later this week. In past pregnancies I’ve always had to be late to show up on a regular test so I keep that in the back of my mind. Thank you!!

Pbn- We do e4d but dh wears condoms until I get a positive ovulation test, then we get 2 attempts in. This cycle I got lucky and got 3attempts because e4d landed me 2 days prior to a positive opk and he didn't have condoms :) and yes I'm currently 6dpo.. we just can't seem to keep up with e4d after we get our attempts in at o. We do great from af-o, but after o it turns into more like e5d or e6d... then we get back on track when af arrives..

Nacire-here are my barely there lines at 9 & 11dpo this cycle. Luckily I had the OSOMs where I could see the progression better
with darker lines. Fx it's just early & your lines will darken!!
