Fingers crossed for the morning....Night lovelies!

IWant - I doubted the line on 9dpo the day I tested, but everyone on here said they thought it looked hopeful! I will say it took forever to get a dark line on wondfo htp though. Seriously yesterday was the first day I felt it was dark and I was 17 dpo - just FYI

Sorry, we have visitors in town and my girls decided to wake up fighting and in tears...it's been a fun morning here. [emoji849]. I really hope it means I've O'd, and I don't think the attempt last night would be viable since it's after O right?
Hope you have a good sleep pbn!!

Max-yay your temps are staying up nicely and maybe you just didn't catch your surge on the digi?! You can get preggo 12-24 hours after O if you BD! Chances are slimmer, but can happen. I'd also continue with BD e3d to cover yourself!
Pbn-yep that was me...1000 backup plans were needed lol ;)
Iwant4-I didn't get anything on any of my tests until the evening of 9 dpo! I saw the line on the wondfo before the frer! Fx for tomorrow's test!!!

Max-for me this past cycle, I took my temp early in the morning (6AM) and my temp increased, but not as much as I expected. Since it was so early, I believe I caught my temp just as it was rising meaning that I must have O'd late night or early morning. The next day my temp continued to rise into the 98s. I'll attach a screenshot. At first glance of your chart, it looked like yours maybe did that, but looks like that was the day before your pos OPK and maybe didn't "catch the rise" like I previously thought. I'm new at reading these charts myself, but with your temp up in the 98s, I do believe you've O'd! [emoji322] If you have one more high temp, ff will prob assign O day the same as your pos OPK. If that's the case, you'll have your perfect O-1 attempt and then your other attempt after O still leaves a possibility!!! Can't wait to see your temp tomorr morning!!!

My temp is below coverline so I'm out :( AF should be here today or tomorrow. My signs have been diminishing so it hasn't stuck. Maybe my lining wasn't ready..... it makes me doubt swaying. I hope next cycle is the one! I'll be back on clomid CD2.

Meant to add my screenshot to show you what I was talking about. I think I caught my temp on it's way up-you can see here on CD16, and O day was likely on CD15 as ff assigned. Looks like for you that O day was CD19 and then a nice rise on CD20 [emoji322]

Max I've been analysing your charts again and just went back to Mays posts around your last o dates and have noticed that you've entered your pos opk a day early? There's no way you oed cd22 (May 4th) when your opks looked like this cd23 (May 5th) So last cycle ff has your crosshairs at least one day early and possibly even two. If you moved the pos opk for cd23 can you see where ff shifts your crosshairs to? And if you do move the pos opk to cd23 notice the small shift in temp from cd24 to cd25 (day after pos opk) looks very familiar to your minor shift this cycle (also day after pos opk). Your body temp *possibly* rises while your egg is getting set up to release, then shows a minor shift at o before maintaining a further sustained rise. That's pure speculation though!
Here's the post I was referring to and a pic of last cycles chart. Try shifting the pos opk to may 5th (day you definately had pos opk) and see what happens
***********Edited after a couple hours lol. It's just occured to me that your a day behind me time wise I think which may be why my tapatalk entry says 5th May 😩 can you check though to be sure :) going to stop analysing now and stick with my day after pos opk guess as o day for both cycles 😂😂😂*****

Iwant4kids I'm sorry :( big hugs. If your egg did fertilise but not implant then your body simply may have not been ready to support a pregnancy. This was the fear with conceiving same cycle of d&c :( Hopefully your cycles have resumed and you'll o at your usual time and be back in the 2ww in no time xxoo
LMSM I see ff allocated your crosshairs early as predicted *sigh

Pbn, okay I want to make sure I understand what you're saying. And bear with me as I'm still trying to get the gist of charting. So I thought that the temps went up AFTER o, but you're saying that they can go up as you're about to O? That's so incredibly confusing....
Lola, thank you for posting that chart! I just realized that 9dpo for me (based on O on CD19) means that I'll be testing on Saturday, which is DH's birthday. Isn't that when you got your BFP??? :)
Pbn3
June 10th, 2017, 09:10 PM
Maxim temps show a sustained rise after o. You may notice a 'step up' in temps prior to a rise and sustain which is what I am poorly trying to explain. There's heaps of different patterns. You've heard of a pre o dip? Well a temp can dip, then sharply rise showing o has likely occurred. It can also dip then come back before rising again the following day indicating o has likely happened. And some people dont even get a pre o dip. In Lola's case I thought she caught a rise on the way up as if you look at her previous cycle chart she had a sharp rise. This time it rose the same amount but over two temps hence the belief she temped not long after o actually happened and caught the rise mid rise. That make sense? I am terrible at explaining things and sometimes feel I cause even more confusion by trying to explain further 😕 so I hope this makes some kind of sense. Hence the comment that I'll just stick to my belief that you are oing day after pos opk but as I said that's a conclusion I've come to and I could easily be wrong :)
Now I'm going shut up and keep quiet about charts 😂

Just quickly (then I'll for sure shut up!) and to use myself as an example. My pre o temps were consisently below 36.5 and post o temps above (usually around 36.7 and I knew I had oed). My temps could be 36.2'ish and go to 36.5' which on a chart easily looks a spike but would often be step up before another rise to the usual post o temps

That's actually super helpful to hear it spelled out like that. I just always assumed an increase of any sort meant you O'd!
Also, regardless of the day, your prediction was right...CD19 or 20 are both early o days for me! You are psychic! [emoji12]

Max-OMG, fx sooo hard that you get a BFP on DH's bday!!! So I tested with fmu on 9dpo on an OSOM and didn't see a thing. However, I def saw 2 lines at 9dpo evening. The next day, 10dpo, was actually DH's bday and got a BFP on the frer, OSOM & wondfo with fmu! I'm so glad you have the OSOMs, they're super sensitive! If you just so happen to not get a BFP on the morning of 9dpo (hope this isn't the case), DEF test again that evening!!! Your attempts look similar to mine! I had an attempt the day before O! This just HAS to be your time!!!! Can't wait for you to start testing 🤞🏻🤞🏻[emoji1374][emoji1374]

Thanks everyone....this cycle was an accidental attempt anyway, but it was exciting to think there was a chance. Wasn't even expecting to ovulate at all. I wasn't on clomid because you can take it straight after a D&C, need to wait for AF. So I will start clomid again this cycle. Fate making a plan maybe....it knew I needed clomid to make a girl!
Super crampy, but nothing yet! C'mon AF. Good news is that I'll be on holidays around O time. I get three weeks for our mid-year break. Then we go away for a week just after AF, so during that week I will eat what I want as it will be the TWW :)

Max-I knew what you meant lol. Yay for crosshairs! To me it looks like you had 1 attempt, but the CD20 attempt leaves possibility depending on when you O'd! If you O'd in the early morning or even the day of CD20, you'd have 2 attempts there since the swimmers can fertilize the egg 12-24 hours after it's released!! I'm excited for you...I bet you caught that eggie!!! Happy 3dpo (possibly 2dpo)!!!!
XXforhubby
June 11th, 2017, 11:04 AM
Max- Maybe 2? However, it takes sperm 6-12 hours to be able to fertilize the egg. Plus like Lola said, the egg is only viable for 12-48 hours once it's released. I too faced the same situation this time around, and I am having a girl! Don't worry about it- what will be will be!!

Mummy2boys it's so good to hear from you!!!
And yes definitely get another attempt in while dh is 'cooperating' as such as you may never get another chance and I would have very little confidence in a bd that pretty much ended in j &d. I don't feel you have the luxury of using 'one attempt' as a sway tactic so better to get a proper attempt in, especially at pos opk (omg how amazing is the timing of it 😀😀🎉🎉👌) What if he brings up permanent birth control next week? You'll have lost any chance so go go go for it tonight I say!!!!!!

Morning!
Mommy2boys – good to read you – glad you got a nice little holiday – how was your son’s Bday? How old is he?
FX that attempt will do the trick – or as our guru says if you can another BD in, go for it!
PBN – as much as I want to be hopeful, not getting my hopes up too much, last cycle I was in the 37’s ish all cycle post O until CD1 – so will be very cautious – though would looooove a BFP this cycle, it’s hubby’s Bday on Thursday (and I know that is your appointment day too! Counting down with ya) – though that would be too early to test then, I would love to be able to give him a slightly delayed Bday pressie :D
We probably won’t celebrate it as such until Friday anyways due to work – the girls and I will make him a cake on Friday that we can have together that night – my eldest has mandated it has to be a Batman cake – so might transform it into a “Rad Dad” cake instead :P
Pbn3
June 11th, 2017, 06:55 PM
LMSM love the cake idea!!!! That's awesome that you'll make a cake together with your girls ❤ what a lucky man your dh is! So are you counting yourself as 2 or 3dpo? We may be able to tweak your chart to shift the crosshairs if you like?

Not guaranteeing the result of said cake so not sure if he’s lucky haha – I actually want to trial making a mirror glaze (since DD1 wants a frozen cake for her Bday, I thought I would make a blue-purple-ish mirror glaze for hers) – so it will likely look...interesting lol
As for the DPOs – I am pretty sure O day was Friday at some point – so could be 3dpo? But who knows eh? Just when I think I know my body super well, it does things that I am unsure of how to read lol
Would only be 7dpo on Friday then – so may test on Sunday? Will likely depend on symptoms or lack thereof too – with both my girls I felt something was different from around 6 dpo – as it is now, feels like my body is doing something, it feels like AF is coming – but then, could be anything and don’t want to read into it, as it is way too early to even have symptoms lol

No worries Iwant4kids! I just seen you've marked you chart as cd1 on Sunday. Usually cd1 is first day of full flow if it arrives before lunchtime'ish but if it arrives afternoon to night my understanding was to make the following day cd1. Not that it matters as you're holding off until cd3 which will technically be cd2 when you start taking lol just thought I'd mention in case you want your chart to line up with clomid days etc accurately without doing a minus one day thing in your head when you look at it :) If af arrived afternoon or night for me I'd mark it as spotting so 'I' knew that's when af started late but it kept my chart days correct as such. Gee I hope that all made sense, feel like I've waffled on and not really explained what I mean 😂

This is my typical day (PCOS diet)
Morning - no breakfast
Morning tea (11:00) - 1/4 cucumber, 1/4 red capsicum and carrot sticks. Sometimes fruit instead of one of the veg.
And a cup of coconut water with a few berries on top
Lunch (1:30):
Cup brown rice, veg on top, bit of satay sauce and 3 veg balls made from zucchini
Or
Brown wrap with cheese
After work if I need something I'll have an apple
Dinner: vegetarian stir fry with noodles or rice
Or
Sometimes wholemeal pasta and veg and sauce
And always a coconut water
Sometimes followed by a small bag of popcorn
Do you think this is too much? Not enough?
I also have fiber after lunch and dinner.
Plus I'll get into running for 20 mins each morning again

Iwant4kids fibre is best taken before your one or two highest fat meals. Yours sound very low fat though so not even sure you should be using fibre? Are you monitoring nutrition? How many cals, grans of fat and protein? Remember not to include green/leafy veggies in your intake. From what you've just listed it seems on the very low side of the le diet and I'm not sure its enough? How is your weight loss going? Not sure I'd introduce any exercise if your at a low weight. I'm not overly familiar with what is different in the pcos version of the le diet but I would strongly recommend you copying and pasting your typical day pcos le diet in a thread directed to atomic and mention everything that you've done to date. How long you've been on diet, your d&c last cycle etc, taking clomid this cycle and the idea of incuding exerise. All I would suggest (and only if it is in line with what atomic days) is to make sure you are hitting your fat and protein levels (the upper limits too) plus for some reason I think the pcos version has a higher limit for protein or perhaps even both?) Your d&c and most of all clomid will sway very strongly for you so I would take full advantage of that, especially this cycle, and aim for the upper limits of diet and probably do e4d with an extra attempt at pos opk?? Again though run everything past atomic while you have the time :)

Pbn3 - I started getting ovulation pains last night and earlier this morning. I may sound cray but it definitely felt like something was happening in there. Maybe because I'm totally aware so I'm looking for the signs?.. My CM turned creamy yesterday, and my OPK is faint but there..but negative for sure. I so hope I have that spike tomorrow :nails:
Eeeeeeekk!!!!! This sounds so very promising nacire!!! You may have even oed and caught the rise on its way up!! Cannot wait for next temp!

Hi ladies! Ok phew what a day...finally have a few moments to sit and look through the thread.
LMSM, I love that cake idea! You guys are all so creative!
Nacire, fingers crossed for a temp increase!
Iwant4, doesn't coconut milk sway blue? Could be wrong, but just in case...
Pbn, I stopped opk because it's the weekend and we've been running around like crazy people... I took my temps yesterday and today 45 mins later than normal bc DH let me sleep in. I'm reeeeeaaaaallllly hoping I only got one attempt in! If I did, I feel great about this cycle because my diet was pretty good with lots of wine and coffee, which is my fav and makes me sooo happy! ;) the 2 attempts does make me a bit scared, although I know I wanted to get it in since I have been trying 1 attempt last cycles and not getting pregnant. I looked back and saw that my attempts with DD1 were 0-3, 0-2, and 0 day. I wasn't swaying at that time and my diet was certainly great at that point since we were trying for our first, so I'm really hoping I'm naturally pink friendly. 🤞

Oh yay maxim that is awesome 😀😀😀😀😀 ok so those osom seemed really sensitive! I wouldn't bother testing with opks as they only act as a hpt if they are fully positive and by then you'd have had a pos hpt for days! Also some people (myself included) get a lh surge prior to af so it could be misleading if it starts darkening. So why not start osom and wondfo hpts on Friday?! You'll either be 7 or 8dpo. I'd keep using them until you see a line then use an frer! Maybe keep your fmu until after your tests dry in case we see something so you can dip another 😀😀😀 oh boy bring on the weekend!!!!

Nacire – woohoo, just a matter of waiting for O to be confirmed then :D
Iwant4 – like Max I thought coconut water was a blue friendly food moreso?
Max, FX for you that you can catch the hcg in there early hehe
Gosh, you’re making me want not to wait until Sunday to test – I’ve got like 20 + ICs, 7+ FRERs, 2 CB digi +2 BD digi with conception indicators (the digis are only coming out if a cleeear bfp shows up one of the others) – so yes, enough to go crazy – wich I had some of those OSOMs, they seem just so sensitive! :D
I was actually going to ask about the “protocol” for testing with opks – at what dpo to start, at what time of day etc etc – but you’ve rained on my parade now PBN lol (joking of course hon)

Nacire-wondfo's are perfect for detecting it early! Showed up at 9dpo evening for me as well! I will say that while you can see progression, it takes awhile for them to get dark like the lines on the frer. Once you see a line on the wondfo, try a frer for sure [emoji4] And just like pbn said-there's nothing like seeing that word "Pregnant." Oh so excited for testing time!!! Nacire – Wondfos are apparently really good! We don’t have them readily available here in Oz, but if you have some , then you are set :D (Having said that the OSOM Lola used were hyper sensitive and you should be able to get them on Amazon, and I know that Max ordered some ^^).

I actually vividly remember having a pinching (or stabbing) and pulsing type pain at 2dpo one pregnancy. I recall it so well as I visualed an everyday chicken egg as my egg pushing through a tight tube (think flesh coloured garden hose 😂) hence the pulsing 😂😂 in no way is that even close to what happens and certainly not what it looks like but my visualization was so hilarious I've never foegotten it 😂😂 Didn't feel it this or other pregnancies but I had deadset af pains at 6-8dpo this time (dont recall them other pregnancies) and they were exactly like my usual af pains I get at 10dpo. I actually thought af was going to come early.... but I got a bfp instead 😀

Now, don’t know whether it’s just because I want it to be because an eggie doing its magic or because it actually is – but man it’s distracting pains for sure!

As for testing, was initially considering Sunday but who knows what I will be willingly coerced into??! LOL

Australia likes to do Public hols differently, so hard to keep up! heck, today is a PH in all other states but Qld – Labor day was May 1st here but they are having it today everywhere else in Oz lol
Could it be a sign with our DH’s Bdays plus Father’s day (it is father’s day in France this WE, which is our country of origin though ^^) around the corner? Let’s hope so! What prefect timing it would be especially for you Max :D

Kat - thanks, I hope so!

Pbn3 - I had lost 5kg before my blighted ovum, but now it's back on. I should be able to get 3kg off before I ovulate. I've paid for a plan with Atomic, so I've messaged her to run it by her again. The PCOS diet has some compulsory items, including yoghurt and coconut water, plus more whole grains and brown rice instead of all white. I feel totally commited this time, like it's my last shot as I KNOW this will be the month.
Maxim - I think with two girls you're girl friendly anyway. So with what you're doing you'll be fine. Yay for testing Friday
LMSM - How annoying are all the different public holidays! Loved being home today! :)

Maxim I'm going to have to eat my hat and let go of my personal feeling you more likely oed day after pos opk as your temps indeed appear to be supporting a day of pos opk o. It still is possible (day after pos) so when it comes to testing time know you may be a day ahead but atm I'd actually say you are indeed 4dpo as per your chart. Your temps haven't done at all what I thought they would pattern wise 😂 but in saying that I believe anything different from the norm can only be a good sign of things to come 😀 So if you are indeed 4dpo then you definately only have one attempt!

My girls are making a "restaurant" for DH and cooking him his favorite foods, but outside of that, I'm always at a loss on what to do for him!! Need ideas! :)
Pbn, I've never heard "eat my hat", I love it!!! Here they say "eat my words"...it's so fun to see the different variations! :) Okay, so you think that I O'd CD19? Honestly, my temps are much, much lower than I expected. It's strange...maybe that is good? I swear last cycle's temps looked amazing, but that was a BFN for me. So who knows?! I had awful cramping and bloating on night of CD19, which is when we were going to have our 2nd attempt but I didn't feel great. I wonder if it happened that evening and then temp went up by the morning? If so, that would mean that I got O-1 attempt about 24 hours before O, right? So would the 2nd attempt the next evening (CD21) not be viable?
I am having really bad bloating the last few days. I know that it's way too early for any symptoms, but I usually have a flat tummy and it's no fun right now. Could that be a sign of something?! ;) I'm going to start testing 8dpo, so excited for Friday to roll around!!!

I had the dizzy spells too. With my first daughter I randomly fainted (this happened just a few days before af was due) and when I called my dh at work, his boss over heard and told him, "She's pregnant" and he didn't even know we were ttc. I waited until af was a day late as not to get my hopes up for nothing, but sure enough it was positive. So maybe I'm crazy, but I think there must be something to the dizziness around conception.. My OB said my fainting was likely due to a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Ttc & Ash-I get dizzy spells now! I sometimes get up too fast, feel light-headed & have to sit back down.
Max-my bb's started having that heavy nursing feeling closer to my BFP & feel sore off & on now. Seriously lol at you wanting to talk to that momma. I always notice preggo moms with 2 of the same gender & I always want to ask SO bad what they're having. My co-worker is expecting her 4th boy & said her DH wasn't that excited. She told him "honey, you know it's your fault." I wanted to talk to her about swaying so bad, but bit my tongue. No need to for me to go there! If it works for me, then I'll share with others IRL [emoji4]
Also Max-We did have similar O-1 attempts! I believe that resulted in my BFP! Based on my slow temp rise, I fully believe that my O+2 attempt would've been very unlikely. Honestly I believe that your O-1 attempt is your 1 attempt and your O+1 is very unlikely. Check out this chart I found! Looks like you BD'd on the perfect day. FX!!!!!!

I haven't had a temp spike yet, but rather a slow rise instead. What does all this possibly mean for me? Cd14-15 I felt ovulation pain and twitches in my stomach. All day yesterday I felt extremely tight, heavy and bloated in my stomach. My CM changed cd14 to creamy from watery which I had the whole previous week. My hubs left on Cd13 on a business trip, but we got an attempt in that morning. I'm still pretty hopeful :)

Nacire we'll know more when we see tomorrows temps. You may see a spike in the morning or maybe you have a slow rise and oed cd14/15? Its impossible to tell until we have more temps I'm afraid :( The vaginal temping hasn't brought your temps into a more readable pattern as I'd hoped but it will get there! Tomorrow morning though or later today if you get a chance, can you check your temp vaginally twice in a row? Just to rule out a faulty thermometer :) Going by your description of pain, twitches, heavy bloated and change in cm I truly believe you have oed so your attempt prior to dh leaving is perfect 👌😀

Pbn3 - Thank you so much for your response. You'd think after 3 kiddos I'd be less clueless when it comes to all this stuff. I never worried with all that stuff before now. I’m thinking I O’d on cd14-15, but Fertility Friend isn’t picking up O. I normally temp twice in a row, because it always feels so off sometimes. I just checked again twice in a row and got 98.1 both times. I also did an early OPK today and it’s negative.

Ff will allocate crosshairs once you enter some more temps. Where's the 26.4g fat from? If you're wanting to use fibre as a sway tactic then take it once a day just before your highest fat meal for the day. Oh and you'll have to make sure your dinner is a minimum of 500 calories, preferably 700 if possible :) which should be easy doable as you have the fat and protein to spare to have something substantial!

Morning/evening ladies!
Mommy2apples – woohoo, get that road on the show! It is super exciting regardless, and means you ae that step closer to the actual attempt time, and then the 2ww - :D
PBN – 2 more sleeps until your appointment – how are you feeling?
Ash – I missed your birthday I think so HB hon, what a great one that it is, carrying your precious bundle inside you :D
Max – haha – you should have asked her! It’s tempting to know what others have done just to reassure one self though, isn’t it? ;)
I promise you will be preggers very soon too!
Lola – always there with reassuring words ;) Hopefully we can join you and all the other lovely pregnant ladies in the ddg if you will have us even if dds would be more early March by now ;)
TTCblue – is it this week that it is O time and attempt time for you?
I want4 – I know nothing about what is acceptable re pink sways but low-cal – high sugar/carb/low protein was definitely my diet with both my girls..FX!!! ;)
Nacire – you totally can be hopeful :D your temp will likely continue to move upwards confirming O soon ;)
So emotional today – it’s just been a morning of chaos, spilt milk and being late… and I was just snappy at everything and everyone, apologised to the girls before leaving them but man I feel terrible and just want to cry my eyes out :(
Anyhoo..this morning DD2 whinged in her sleep which woke me up – and not sure whether she would then wake up I took my temp in case I had to get up shortly after - though it was early 5ish (instead of 6 ish) – the temp was 36.82 – then having not gotten up but not truly gone back to sleep either, I took my temp again at 6.10 – 36.93 – which temp would you use? I’m thinking the one at 5am and it will likely come up as an empty circle on the chart.

Sounds great and don't worry about the dip! Temps have to level out at some stage. These first 3-5 temps are just to verify o, its the ones from 6dpo onwards that can make things interesting. Or you can even have a normal looking chart that ends in a bfp like Lola's :)

Thanks hon - I love how reassuring you are! :) I actually just checked my chart when I got my last bfp (DD2) - 36575 and it did have a dip early on before rising again and a secondary dip (likely implantation) – so FX it follows the same pattern :D

Nacire I nursed DD2 until she was 17 months, and only because I kindly nudged her that way – she was boobie obsessed, and was not settling with anything but that and had me up at night so much I just could not physically function anymore...she would likely have continued on if it hadn’t been for me suggesting we gently wean. She now is obsessed with having her milk bottle (she often will ask for it in the middle of the night and cry and cru when I say when she has slept bt not now – at like 10pm/2ametc lol) – that and she has taken a dummy (hate it wish I could toss it) and uses some little towels as comforters – drags them everywhere and has to have like 10 in her bed lol her sister self-weaned at around 12 months, and never was big on comforters – she always has been such an independent little girl so this sookie koala baby (who is adorable) is a big change for me haha but you're right let's enjoy their baby phase while it lasts because it goes sooo fast!
She will be 2 at the end of September ^^

Wow TTC, interesting...that makes sense! Remind me where you are right now in your cycle? Sorry, trying to keep up with everyone!!
I swear everyone around me is getting pregnant! Took my daughter to ballet class and there was another mom talking to her friends about finding out she's having a boy. It took EVERYTHING in me not to ask her about her BD patterns, diet, etc. and I don't even know her. HA omg my life lately makes me laugh....
That sounds like me too! I constantly talk to my family members and friends who are mothers to compare diet and such and if they think I'm silly for swaying, I genuinely think they are for not giving it a chance.
Im on cd12 and I just got a positive opk literally an hour ago and already got my first attempt in! Currently laying down as long as possible until I'm summoned by the daughters!

Im not charting. I just feel like me being who I am, it will stress me out entirely too much.. I use OPKs starting on cd11 (because I always get a positive between cd12 and cd16). Today is cd12 and at 7am this morning it had a very faint line and at 7pm it was unmistakably positive. I immediately got in our first attempt.. Is tomorrow morning too soon to get in round 2? Or should I wait until tomorrow evening just incase I don't ovulate until a day or 2 from now? DH will only give me 2 tries each month, so my next will be my last..

Nacire & Mommy- I nursed DS2 before bed until he was 2! I think it was more of a comfort thing for him & I thought there was no end in sight! I eventually replaced our nighttime routine with singing songs & reading books & the transition was easier than I thought!! BTW, DS2 is a March baby & I think March babies are pretty awesome (not biased or anything 🤣).
Nacire-I thought I remembered you switching to vag temps. I did that mid cycle too many cycles ago & found it to be more accurate. Just wondered if that's why your more recent temps are looking lower than the earlier ones. Was CD13 your 1st vag temp?
LMSM-ooo Fx this chart continues to follow your previous BFP chart!!!
Max-it does seem like it would be really hard to pinpoint O+12 & seems like it would take awhile to get preggo. Maybe it works by pure luck if it ends up being the 1 attempt & the egg is still there & ready to be fertilized??

Oh totally get it – the tiredness was doing my head in, it was so hard at work that I thought I would lose my sanity so instead of abruptly snapping and weaning off cold turkey I thought I owed it to her to do it gently at least (had gotten to the point that the night feeds I started to physically hate- when I used to love the closeness in the still of the night when she was smaller - I just could not cope anymore, to the point I actually felt like ripping her off the breast, it made my skin crawl so bad I thought that is it).
But no, I never did nor ever will do cry it out – regardless of me not being able to cope (hubby was keen with CIO until I explained why it was no good), it’s also that so much research has shown how detrimental it is, I just would not be able to ;)
What I did, is what Lola recommended – I dropped a feed at a time: she had been at daycare since 10 months old, so she had 4 days/week without me during the day so she did take some bottles – so most days I had feeds with her 1st thing in the am, then after dinner before bed then often a few times at night.
So I dropped the one she seemed to care less for, i.e. the morning one – 1st I only offered every other day, until she seemed content – basically didn’t offer didn’t refuse at first but offered bottles instead (at first with some expressed milk then weaned off that gently too).
Then after maybe 10 days or so, we then looked at dropping the day feeds when she was with me (Friday to Sunday) – with the same approach – then finally did the same with the evening one: the night ones she actually accepted better than I thought, and I just told her mummy had no more milk – was sore-ish for a week when we dropped the last feed, and had to express a bit to help avoid mastitis but it went surprisingly well. The whole process was over maybe 5-6 weeks? She hasn’t asked for boob since – she just cuddles instead :)
GL wth that process - it is bittersweet - I was relieved and sad all at once, esp fo rthat very last feed - I got DH to take a pic of us

Nacire-I can def see how it would be harder trying to wean as a SAHM. DS2 was in daycare for 5 days as a 3 month old in May before my school year was over and then again as a 6 month old when I went back to work. It was easier to drop those day feedings on the weekends since he was getting the bottle at daycare. It was bittersweet stopping, but I was trying to get AF to return so I could ttc #3 so I had a mission lol ;) GL-just do what feels right for you & DS!!

True dat :P it’s honestly the highlight of my day picking them up at daycare – little one drops everything runs over to me saying “Mummyyyyy” and demands a cuddle by climbing on me haha love it, she always was a cuddly one, and a Mama’s girl, but she definitely has been even more cuddly after we weaned – and that’s fine by me, they are only little for so little time ;) It sounds like a dream said like that but she has her tanties in the middle of the night now if I don’t give her a bottle at times – which is hard to not cavee in for – I offer an alternative (water, dummy, cuddly blanket etc) – so I def think the key is redirecting attention, offering an alternative..so
I do think that distracting your DD2’s attention will definitely help for the day feeds – I can sympathise, when you are together 24/7 there is nowhere to “hide” lol you got this mama ;)

We have sex every 4 days but he wears a condom or pulls out. Since he doesn't want another baby, it was all I could do to talk him into 2 attempts each month. Also I don't know if it makes a difference, but I use clear blue OPKs. Not sure if they are more likely to detect the surge sooner or after other OPKs? And my cycles are currently averaging 26 days, if that in any way can help predict when O may happen. Thank you for getting back to me quickly! DH was called in early to work today and I had no idea. Of all days!!!! Had my alarm set for 7am and didn't know he had already left at 6:30. Will it still be a good second attempt if we get it in right after he gets home? It would be approximately 24 hours after my first positive OPK, but I did take another at 7 this morning (I always do 7am and 7pm) and it's still positive. Should I even take another OPK this evening, or just get another attempt in ASAP?
:celebrate: UPDATE: :celebrate: Dh came home from work for his lunch break and we got our second attempt in. So 18 hours after my first positive opk/our first attempt.. Ovulation pains started about an hour prior to him getting home. I'm not sure what this means, but :fx: and

Hello ladies! I see a few familiar faces in here, but just wanted to ask a quick question: I had my son in May 2016 (thanks GD!) and breastfed him for a year. So, just got my first pp period in May. It took us 3 rounds of Clomid to conceive him and the last round ovulation was SO painful. Fast forward, we are NOT trying, but with my difficulties last time, not preventing. Anyway, Sunday afternoon I felt so bloated, and sore and just almost like I had to pee but didn't (no UTI, I feel fine now!). My question is, anyone who has taken Clomid before, did you notice future ovulations felt different? Or even, post baby did they feel different? Maybe it's not the Clomid, but the face that I've had a baby. It would have been CD19 (and we DTD the morning before[emoji51]). Any insight from you mamas is appreciated!
Good luck to all of you this month and lots of baby dust! [emoji178][emoji170]

Ttcblue I'm so happy to see your update about lunchtime bd!!!! Woohoo you did fantastic lady and definately have your two attempts in 🎉🎉🎉💙💙💙
@TaytumJ hi there 👋 and that's a name from the past I haven't seen for awhile 😀 Glad to hear all is well! For me ovulation pain varies month to month but by far the one that hurt the most was one of my 5/6 clomid cycles. Felt I was literally going to burst and same sensation of feeling like I needed to pee but nothing would come. It was extremely uncomfortable and lasted a couple days. That cycle I definately released more than one egg (confirmed by bw) Previous to this one and following clomid cycles though were nothing at all like that. And non clomid cycles the same. I always get o pain that I can identify but how long and sharp the pains are varies month to month. Also I've gotten o pains day before or day of o as well (confirmed by temping) So basically its my long winded way of saying maybe you released more than one egg in your first ovulation since return of cycle. Or maybe your body was abit 'stiff' and needs a few rounds to get all the pieces greased and working smoothly again 😂 Have you tried googling? I'm sure there'd be plenty of forums with ladies asking the same question in the same scenario as you. I don't think it had anything at all to do with the clomid as it will have been well out of your system but possibly is first ovulation after cycle return related xxoo

Pbn3 - I'm very unsure and not very hopeful with such a slow rise after ovulation :( I did read on Google (I should stay off Google) that slow temp rise after ovulation can be from low progesterones?.. I know there is probably a number of things that can lead to it. I know my temp is rising and thats a good sign :) I took my temp 2 maybe even 3 times in a row and got the same temp just to be certain. Should I still take OPK today?

Ttcblue I'm so happy to see your update about lunchtime bd!!!! Woohoo you did fantastic lady and definately have your two attempts in 🎉🎉🎉💙💙💙
Whoo hoo!!!!!!! Also I just remembered, dh did not use a condom when we bd on Saturday (we dtd every 4 days and he forgot to bring condoms on vacation with us! ;) ) Since I got my positive ovulation test just 2 days later, would that also fall within the fertile period, or do all 3 attempts have to be after a positive opk?
Pbn3
June 13th, 2017, 04:59 PM
Nacire I would not consider that a slow rise at all! I will attach an example of a slow rise chart. You're 2/3dpo and even though its difficult to 'see' because of your higher pre o temps make it harder there is a definate shift. Your temps are going in the right direction 😀 try and relax a little, you got an attempt in at the very best time so you have an excellent chance of a bfp. Now its the waiting game which is hard and makes us analyse every single thing but trust me, in relation to your chart its so far so good. I see nothing concerning or 'off'. Give it a few more days to get established :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170613/48cc228eac1815a37fd459a2668bb48d.jpg

That's an attempt in fertile window so I would include it for sure! So assuming you o day after pos opk you'll have a 3-o, 1-o and day o attempts (is that right?!! If so double woohoo!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉)

Hey hey!
TTC blue – even better – that’s just perfect, lucky you! FX it’s a BFP in the coming days now :D
Max – temp is looking good darl! :D
Nacire – if you go back a couple of pages I put a screenshot of my bfp cycle for dd2 – it’s not a steep rise but moreso gradual, and she is now here, a bouncy 20 months old! ;)I do tend to have low progesterone and take supplementation (oh so am not looking forward to using those yukky pessaries!) but you will see that it doesn’t prevent a bub from being sticky as such ;) plus the fact you have cycle whilst still bfing is a plus (many women don’t have proper cycles bfing as much as you do ;) ) – the bfing can mean lower P levels but not necessarily too low ;)
(oh and if you have extra stock of that chill pill, please shoot some my way, I think I will need it until I know what the outcome of this cycle is! )
Mommy2apples – who knows you might indeed O earlier this cycle so keeping track is the way to go – what days are you on Clomid – was it 5-9 or something like that? I can’t recall sorry ;)
Taytum – my Os on Clomid were uber painbul, like I was going to literally explode – the ones I had post-partum were not as bad, but with each pregnancy they do seem to get more painful – I do have endometriosis though and have adhesions around my ovaries (the surgeon removed them but there will be a scar that can cause pain too)… sometimes the first PP ovulations are the most painful as the body hasn’t ovulated in a while so it kind of comes back with a vengeance- hormones and all ;)
When was your CD19, long to go before you can possibly test to know what is going on?
PBN – one more sleep until your appointment! What time is it at?
Afm – well temp is back up this am, so I think we will have a good picture of what’s to come by the end of the week !

It was always reassuring to see the test get darker each day & again by evening. I'm not sure how early it'll detect-8 didn't work for me, but guess it also depends on when you implant! I slowed down on the testing and still have about 5 or 6 left...like having them there for the days I need reassurance [emoji4] Seriously can't wait for your testing!!

Curious to hear from you ladies....I've grown up with 3 sisters and now that I have 2 daughters, I don't really know what having a boy is like. I have girlfriends who have boys and they are so sweet, but have SO much more energy than my girls. Curious what life with boys is like for you guys. My sister has a son that I swear is the snuggliest, sweetest little guy and I'm obsessed with him....I just worry that a boy in our family with 2 girls that are so much older would be left out of everything!

Maxim: Overall I find boys have more energy, but socially are soooo much easier (this is with my teacher hat on). I think having two older sisters, if you were to have a boy, he would have two lovely role models and he would probably be quite calm.
Yay for testing this Friday!

Sky-I forgot how early you got a BFP & I believe it was dreaming who got a BFP at 6dpo! Max-test when you're feeling the urge to POAS b/c you could implant early & you just never know!!! I love how Iwant4 described having 2older sisters as a role model. My brother was 7 years younger than me & I just adored him. He had a head full of blond curls and I loved helping take care of him & showing him off lol. He did have soo much energy. I always described him as Dennis the Menace b/c he was so fast you'd only see his tracks lol. He grew up to the be the nicest gentleman, married & has a 1 year old daughter. He is such a hands on Dad! I believe all of the women in his life were great role models and raised him to be caring & respectful [emoji4] With my own 2 boys, yes they have LOTS of energy & keep me active. BUT they are super snugly & sweet!!

Omg you guys, I'm an emotional mess this morning. Your messages made me cry! WTH lol.... That sounds exactly like my nephew Lola - he is insanely energetic, always hitting me with some type of sword and running around in his spider man costume, but then also lays his head on me and tells me how much he loves me. It makes me melt. My girls are so sweet, but they are also SO dramatic and girls can be so, so mean. I do want a dd, but honestly, what is meant to be will be and you guys are right, a boy that has older sisters can certainly get all those nice attributes from watching them. Lola, so sweet to hear about your brother!
Alright, so tomorrow is 7dpo, I *might* take a FMU osom test just for fun. I hate testing too early because I just get disappointed to see bfn's (especially after the past few cycles of seeing the same), but we'll see if I get inspired or not. My temps are going back up a bit, but in my last 2 BFP cycles they went down before I got a BFP, so we'll see.
Sky & dreaming, I cannot believe how early you got your BFP's! Have you guys confirmed if you're having a singleton or twins yet? I always thought twins would show up earlier on BFP's due to the hcg.

Oh Max are so much fun! They love their mommy unconditionally and oh can melt your heart with the cutest things they do and say. Yes they are rough and tough and love all boy things. I wouldn't trade them for anything.
My four year the other day!
I said do you love mommy?
Kolton: yes
Me: why?
Kolton: because you are nice to me and you are beautiful!
Talk about a major heart melt!

Max!! You better believe I'm still here pulling for you. And just stay on that crazy train bc once your pregnant it will continue. I'm *usually* emotionally stable but not yesterday [emoji23] Worried about everything, health, gender, miscarriage, fear of twins [emoji15] (you're with me on this [emoji1325]).
Honestly, I think we are in a win/win! If a 3rd girl, then hopefully older 2 will include her. If a boy, then older 2 will mother him [emoji3] I think my 3 yo is going to be excited. I think my 6 yo will be hesitant maybe even jealous bc she will fully grasp what it means [emoji23] But, my 6 yo is also a caretaker so I will include her in everything and let her be my helper!! Now get that bfp and let's do this together Sista!!
Also for symptoms I had that tingly/letdown feeling like crazy in my boobs at 8 dpo which made me wonder. And I got a very very faint positive on 9 dpo like not 100% sure I believed it but a tad more noticeable on 10 dpo. My progression has been slower than others just FYI so don't let that freak you out. But, I'm definitely progressing and had a very very dark wondfo yesterday at 22 dpo.

Ttc-I admire your patience lol.
Max & Kat-I was seriously thinking how it is win-win for both of you either way. I think 3 girls would be so much easier than 3 boys! Love the idea of having 2 protective big bro's and a little sister, but this is our last-3 boys would be a handful. I would need for 3+ boy mommas to tell me how awesome it is lol.
Max-Fx that feeling emotional is leading up to your BFP! Try not to be disappointed if it's a BFN at 7dpo. Think of it as a baseline & an experiment as to how early you will detect your BFP! I really believe that since you've had your appt with an RE & she said it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN & knowing that Clomid is a backup plan, these things help to mentally relax! So I feel confident that you'll get your BFP and won't even need to try that route, but at least you know you have options!!!

This would upset me so much! We had a similar situation not long ago where my DHs best friend and his wife found out they were having a boy and she literally tried to steal the name my DH and I have had picked out for a boy since we had our first daughter. Except this was purposeful because it's not a very common name, and she took the middle name as well, just a few days after I had congratulated her on her son and told her the name I had picked out. I just thank God her husband is so kind to tell her no because it broke my heart to think there may be a little Oliver James running around my house that wasn't my own son.

Luckily, DH's bro lives 10 hours away and we aren't in the same circles, BUT they have the same last name & we will look like the ones that stole their name ugh. Glad most of his fam already knew our girl name though....so we technically had the name 1st, but they're having the baby first. I can't imagine changing it just to appease everyone else. No one has the same name in my family or circle of friends where we live.

Max - I agree with others that it will be a win win either way. We are three sisters and we have one brother. Our brother was fully trained to be happy and involved with females well. I guess growing up with older sisters is indeed a great thing. I am younger to him
though but we have always had a special bond. It's silly how I m recalling all this when all the ladies mentioned it. So u just relax and get ready to start POAS. 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞
Lolla - I asked Dh about twins when we got bfp. The look on his face was a mix of happy and holy moly what on earth are u talking about [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
I don't think We are ready for twins. [emoji52][emoji52][emoji52][emoji52] Dh said please let it be one. Like I can influence that. [emoji849][emoji849][emoji849] What about u? Twin girls would be perfect.
Ttc- I waited two days after af was due to test with dd. With all the excitement here, 7 dpo was the longest I could hold. [emoji51][emoji51][emoji51]
I m glad your friend's husband was so considerate. I would have hated it if someone stole my name on purpose.

There were a set of boy twins on my mom's side-her cousins I believe?? I never knew them. Age is the only factor on my side. I just pray for a healthy baby-girl would be a dream and twin girls would be the best dream ever [emoji175]

Lolla - You have the body of a teenager. Honestly, You can easily carry twins. Age is just a number. I do get tempted with twins since we won't be going for number 3 and if we have twins then we won't have to and I will get the family I always wanted. [emoji12][emoji12]
But I worry because I am not a skinny bee and it will be so so hard.
I have bn out of the house most of the time these days since dd is signed up for so many classes and also it's a great distraction for me otherwise I
keep counting days until appointment and being my crazy self. I am happy that I am so busy and the days r passing by so quick. I only have tired feet because I am walking a lot. Right, I think she just really liked the name and they were struggling to find a boys name to begin with because they were hoping for a girl. She even made the comment to her dh in front of mine that "They don't even have a boy and he doesn't want anymore kids so I don't see what the problem is" and it was kind of a stab in the heart when he told me she said that because she has her boy, and I may never get mine and I don't feel it was necessary to throw it in my face like that.
I think you should name your baby whatever you had picked out. If you don't, you may always regret it. I wanted to name my second daughter Olivia, but my husband had a cousin named Olivia and I just wasnt aware because I'd never met her being their family lives so far away. After I had fallen in love with the name my SIL tells me, "No we can't have two Olivia's in the family, our family just don't do that." So my dh said we should choose something different and we picked out Evelynn. I love her name but I do feel like it was a rebound because I settled for it after the name I had fallen in love with was taken from me. So I think whatever that name is, you should keep it and if it upsets your BIL or his wife, just explain to them :)

Ttc-do it lol! Nothing like a little peer pressure haha. The wondfos & OSOMs can easily be ordered off of Amazon. The wondfos are super cheap & are great for detecting early. I feel like I could see the progression better on the frer & OSOMs better though. Can't wait for all of you to start testing!!!!
As far as the name-she sounds completely inconsiderate! Unbelievable how some people think! Beautiful names you've picked out, sorry you felt like you settled. That's exactly the feeling I'll have if I change it! DH doesn't want to change it either. It's a super common name, but we have named our kiddos all "S" names & I loved this name before it got popular. When DH proposed to me he said "and we'll have lots of Sophia's." I've been waiting on my Sophia ever since. I *may* finally get my girl & it's almost like a cruel joke that they're using the name ugh. We see them maybe once a year, but DH talks to his bro on the phone a lot. They still haven't discussed the name & how we'd still plan to use it haha.

Oh my gosh, Lola, that solves it! You must still use it. If it was in the proposal, it's a done deal! Looks like you guys will just have to include middle names on the rare occasion that they are together lol. I think I'm finally over the Olivia.. I have an Ava and an Evelynn and if I get another baby I'll be adding an Oliver or an Ivory, so it's all good. Plus if I get a boy, I will actually be using the male form of the same name lol... Oliver/Olivia; and then I'll be so grateful I didn't name my 2nd daughter that.

Hey ladies,
Will come back and hopefully get a chance to read you all – just saw the comments you made about others taking “your” name – sooo can sympathise – my SIL had her 2nd son in December, and they named him with the only name hubs and I could agree on (though it was only my 2nd favourite – as my absolute fav DH is refusing) – was gutted…
Anyways, go with your long dreamed off girl name Lola ;) Sophia Leigh is uber cute – I will have bub #3 starting with an S too ^^ Samuel is what I have always dreamt my son of being called ^^

We don't have a boy name yet & Fx we won't need one, but we recently discussed S boy names & that we like Samson "Sam" [emoji4] Fx so hard that you get your Samuel!! Have fun celebrating DH's bday. Praying that you get to give him that "extra gift" after you start testing & get your BFP!!!
