Oh wow!!! I just had this "feeling" to write this letter ;)
I wouldn't say I am wiccan but I am definate spiritual. I have seen spirit since a little girl, even saw the spirit of DD2 before she was conceived. I do angel and tarot cards, I have always had a pretty strong "gift" with clairsentience although need to work on how to do it when I want to do it. I often get feelings/thoughts and visions pop up randomly. Really wish I could do it on command though. I don't talk about it much because I get bombarded with people wanting to test me out/know things etc and because I have not learnt how to do this properly I find it VERY draining. If I do a card reading for someone I am left lethargic and tired for a good 24 hours!

I did a little note to just in case lol. This card reading is awesome! I would bombard you for a reading but your post kinda say back off LOL
Hope everything was good last night! GL

FX it shows soon Bec!

Ok so I am confused and worried :(

Yesterday morning CBFM was LOW. OPK was negative although over the course of the day I started fading in.

I tested at each wee so was testing quite a bit! As the evening drew closer I had a funny feeling it would be + that night. 10pm I got a positive or very very close to! I had watery CM and good O pains during the arvo and evening.

DH had released just 24 hrs prior so I did not want to attempt last night PLUS my monitor said LOW that morning! Small temp drop that morning too (see my chart in my sig)

This morning, temp dropped a tiny bit more and I got a + opk and my monitor went right to PEAK!!! I completely missed the HIGH. VERY wet, slippery and when I check inside my finger is covered in EWCM. Some mild O pains not as much as yesterday but still enough to let me know they are there. I continued testing with OPK's and they were +'s. This evening, 8pm the OPK is starting to fade out. I know you are not meant to check the test sticks of the monitor but I just wanted to compare the lines with all the previous ones and this morning the test line was heaps dark. Last night it was dark enough to see but not quite as dark as the control. Now this evening it has gone back like last night.

I am a bit confused and worried about the fact I skipped the high completely, I surged REALLY fast and my fade out is happening really quickly too? I was planning to attempt tonight at around 10pm when kids are all in bed and has been 48 hrs since last release for DH BUT do you think I am entering girl zone if my OPK is fading out already or am I in safe zone already??

HELP! :(

Did you DTD? If it were me, I wouldn't. I would feel like it was too close to the girl zone. :( I'm sorry! BUT I have never used that monitor, only regular opk sticks, and they don't fade in and out like that. COuld it be possible that you had too dilute of urine when you tested one or two of the times? That would make it not show up as dark...?

GL if you DTD TTC5. I think we need to make a sticky about the CBFM and the sticks b/c so many gals are confused by them... It's important to remember that the monitor is testing for 2 hormones, so the lines represent Estrogen and LH.

When your Estrogen is Low you get a dark line and a Low reading on the monitor. I get this every day b/c I am breastfeeding Honor and not cycling yet.

When your Estrogen starts rising the estrogen line gets Lighter. This gives you a High.

When your LH surge begins the LH line gets Dark (usually you see the faint Estrogen line, too) and that's when you get a Peak.

After your first Peak you are automatically given a second Peak then a High.

The LH line is closer to the dip stick side, the Estrogen is closer to the end you hold when you POAS.

Yes she is very nice for sure. And she know this was a re read for me she still had my old reading! I never told her we hope for a boy I just told her this last time that they all the same gender.
it is just a reading but sure make us feel better , right?

I don't think your monitor is broken it just don't ask for any more test because you are on CD15 maybe?or did it asked last month after CD15? Because it don't ask after some days are over.

No your not meant to but because my last opk from last night looked like it was fading in I wanted to check if maybe my urine was too diluted. I check this morning knowing it would have had traces of lh from yesterday/during the night. It was + so my urine was just too diluted ( it was as clear as water from all the lemon water I drink lol).

Still a + today too...

Still a + today too...

So what does mean, did you DTD too early ? or too late? or was it perfect?

TTC5
November 6th, 2011, 06:43 AM
I am guessing I have ovulated today so the sperm would be waiting in the crypts for around 12-18 hrs before the egg was released, which I *think* is good for blue? I'd rather than be there now than have risked going in to O+12 that was my main concern.

Kris217

Yep at 1:30! My sister didn't want to know what it was but she'd see it on facebook or someone would slip up so we've decided to get it written down on a piece of paper and put into an envelope and on the way home we'll stop in at her house and she can open it first and tell us what we're having.

It's a girl!!! Still in shock cos we were thinking it was a boy. Oh well she's healthy and that's the main thing. My placenta is too low, only 1cm from my cervix so they need to recheck that but everything else is fine. I don't want anyone to worry their sway might not work, I didn't give it 100%, I wasn't even planning on trying that month plus I think my donor has something to do with it. He is a vegetarian so his diet could have come into it, I doubt he has much testosterone and he is so thin it's not funny. So yeah that might have effected the out come.

Thanks girl, yes Sarah wanted a girl but for my sake she wanted it to be a boy. We're just glad we got pregnant at all and are expecting a daughter that is healthy. I will go through our baby boxes in a few days to see what I have and don't have.....all I bought for so long was boy stuff! My sister has an 18 month old girl and 5 month old girl so she gave me a lot of their stuff. She's happy it's a girl too, our girls will be close cousins so that's nice. I told my DH that we are just going to dtd every other day starting now (I'm CD6) and I am sure there will be a night or two that I have to wrangle it out of him and put on some sexy panties or something. But hey, just wait and see what happens, I think you had good timing! And you guys, please don't mind that psychic's readings.....as much as I think they are lovely and also believe that some do have psychic powers, they are also wrong sometimes. Congrats, Kris! Little girls are so much fun!

I am CD 7 and we are going to continue to try again. I went to the dr for my annual physical and to talk to her about our ttc problems (VERY low temperatures, ttc 6 months to no avail) and she checked my thyroid and hormone levels and everything looks good - yay! We're not very strictly on the diet, but are going to jump back on it in the next day or so. DH is so good with the diet, but he's so sick of it, especially bc he loves his coffee when it's cold! I am taking a prenatal plus Flax oil, fish oil, D3, and folic acid. I do drink whole milk (sorry IG fans, but my SIL got her boy with lots of whole milk), but try to stay away from the sugar and eat lots of potassium. Here's hoping it works this month!! =)

Hey Lola!!!

Thanks for the sympathy. I was getting better and then was out too late last night at a bon fire....I knew I would pay for it today. We have our own doppler, so I we are checking for a h/b tonight and I will probably wait until after Christmas to go to the midwife, unless I can not shack this cold. I normally have uneventful pregnancies and would just rather wait.....who knows I may get a wild hair and have to see the baby!!!

Found this on FF for you!
Do I have to do anything special to chart my BBT when the time changes for Daylight Saving Time?
The effect of Daylight Saving Time (DST) on your temperature is usually limited to the day of the change because you adjust quite quickly. In addition, the exact effect depends strongly on your own metabolism. Some people will see no effect at all while others will see a slight change (increase or decrease). Because in general having one temperature slightly off will not change your chart interpretation, Fertility Friend's recommendation is to record your temperature as usual without correcting it in any manner. We recommend that you keep taking the temp at the same time. If you took it at 6 in the morning before the change, then take it at 6 in the morning after the change.

Hey Kris, do you feel you have some GD or just in shock cos you were so not expecting a girl?

She is so cute!!

Yeah I am disappointed to a degree, I think because this is my only baby and I wanted it to be a boy. The severe morning sickness should have told me it was a girl, but the slower heart rate had people saying it was a boy. I know you can't count on either of those to be 100% accurate but I still thought I had a good chance of a boy. I don't think my timing was good though. I wasn't tracking my ovulation cos my donor was away and I wasn't going to try and I think I ovulated the night before I did the first insemination so like 24 hours after.

Hi Hopeful! Glad that your tests came back ok! I know how frustrating it is to ttc for a while with no result. You guys are doing a great job though, and I think you are wise to keep on the diet and supps, because you never know! Also wise to drink whole milk, we totally do that. Did your doctor say anything else or want any other tests? I don't think you are over 35, so I know they don't start worrying until it's been 12 months. And you really shouldn't worry!

Congrats Kris on the baby girl!!! Any pics?

Great to read all the attempts going on, GL ladies!!!

I HATE it when I am almost better and then I go get out of the house and do something fun and put myself right back in the sickbed! I am sure you are beefing up on vitamins and natural cold remedies, so hopefully they kick it soon. How awesome that you have a doppler? I would be tempted to bust that thing out every day. I have this fantasy of never going to the doctor and such and just having a baby with a midwife, which I may end up doing (although the midwife here will see me throughout the pregnancy). That is so cool! Of course, we all would love to know what you end up having sooner than later, LOL!

Oh, and just thought of this: when I am pg and sick, I use a netti pot or sinus rinse....if you haven't tried that, it is awesome! I do it once a week anyway just to clean my sinuses out. I bet you have one already, but if you don't, you can get a plastic one and the saline packets at Walgreens and the like now.

Glad you are still hanging around and feel better soon! XXOO

My 37 year old DH does! EVERY MORNING!! EVen after getting some the night before! He is a horny devil. I seriously had to remind him EVERY MORNING when we were doing our attempt that he needed to keep his hands off--and he even did it once then anyway!!!

REALLY? Maybe mine does too and I just don't know it, LOL. How do you know? Sorry to be TMI....I am kinda curious if mine does, because I am always accusing him of having zero sex drive, although he did surprise me last night. We've only been together for 3 years now, and my DH is pretty private about that stuff. The whole semen analysis thing was kinda awkward for us.

I guess I need to move out of this boy thread, might be back if Sarah wants to try for a boy :)

Aww, we don't want you to, but if you feel like you need to......I hope you are doing ok.....I know what you mean about only baby and hoping it's a boy. I think a lot of us are working on our last and feel the same way, it's a boy now or never. BUT your baby girl is ADORABLE already and she is going to be super awesome! Most important thing is that you are blessed with a healthy beautiful baby!

Kris: Oh, I love the pic of her all snug inside you.....how sweet!!!! I am sure the whole donor thing was very hard to get all lined up....what a miracle to get preggo.

Lola: Not sure if we will deliver at the hospital or home....whatever we feel led to do. We bought the doppler when preg with child #5 and used it more that time, but with #6 I only used it a couple times. We lent it to someone and they used it several times a day....it crackles and turns off on it's own now. But, still works. We tried last night, but didn't find the h/b. It is really hard at 8wks, because you have to get it just right. But, DH is great at it and we will try again tonight. Oh, and I do not have a neti pot. I have tried to buy one several times and it grosses DH out....he just needs to get over it.

I love checking in on all you guys and can't wait to see all the BFP this month!!!

November 8th, 2011, 11:09 AM
Oh FUN, WP! You will have a blast! Yes, it is an excellent reason to get gussied up and have a nice dinner beforehand. Are you bringing kids or is it date night? I have the best memories of going to see the Nutcracker in Houston when I was a child. It was our family tradition, and kind of kicked off Christmas for us. Now, I get to produce one and watch my DH and my girls (who auditioned and got some coveted children's roles) in it. The Nutcracker is a very special production for me, very near and dear to my heart. The music is so classic and beautiful, and it just makes you freaking happy at the end. Are you going to Atlanta Ballet?

You should DEFINITELY get a netti pot....my DH thinks it's gross also, but I just do it in the bathroom over the sink with the door closed. Seriously, it will give you such relief with a cold, and naturally! And you may find you really like using it throughout the year also, esp. with working on the farm and getting dirt/dust in your nose. They are cheap and you can buy saline packet refills or just make your own, too, with warm salt water. It is my saving grace when pg and sick!

Oh WP you will have so much fun! Enjoy!

Lola when I was a girl my mom and her best friends always got dressed up and dressed their girls up for a luncheon and matinee of The Nutcracker - it was such a highlight of my year. It's exciting that your girls are in it!

I'm feeling strange right now... some girlfriends who had babies several months before Honor are pg again and it makes me wistful, but we're SO not ready yet. I had a dream that I was pg with a baby boy last night though... of course it got really strange that my mom was also pg LOL. Probably because we were chatting about babies yesterday. Anyways, enough about me.

Can't wait to hear about more BFP's this month :)

Lbam- my nephew is a Xmas eve baby, all that eating has got to be good for a NYE blue bean!

Ttc5- I tink your timing is awesome, now the dreaded 2ww.

WP- ugh, I've got a cold too. Preg colds are brutal since we make so much extra mucus without extra germy help. Have fun at the Nutcracker, my dad took us very year!

Lola- well I think you've sold me on the netti pot, I'm sitting here with only one functional nostril so breathing sounds great lol

Dude- netti pots are AWESOME. Get ready to enter a whole new world of clean and happy nasal passages!

Skrimpy, you guys have 5 kids! I wouldn't be ready for a while either! Just try to tell yourself that you need some time to enjoy Honor's infancy and prep for your next sway, lose some weight, etc. I know how you feel though, I am so ancy to get pregnant since everyone I know is having a baby right now also (IRL). I just have to tell myself that I will in time and try not to be unrealistic about my situation. Plus, I personally believe that it is better to bf your baby without another baby inside leaching any nutrients, but I am by no means a bf expert (even though I did bf two kids for a long time). I've heard it is not a big deal, but it would make me nervous that I was spreading myself too thin for 2 babies. So, maybe that will help you feel better.....that you need to let Honor be the baby for a while and get her nutritious milk all to herself before you get another bun in the oven? (:

skrimpy
November 8th, 2011, 02:02 PM
ITA Lola - I want Honor to have her babyhood and plenty of mama milk before I get pg again. And early pregnancy is challenging enough without nursing so I like my LO's to have nursed long enough that I feel okay with weaning if need be. I feel pretty confident with our current plans to try in early 2013... it's just harder when it seems like everyone is pg or pg again! I'll send all my baby dust your way and live vicariously through you ;)

November 8th, 2011, 02:20 PM
Thanks, Skrimpy! I may not be the *best* one to live vicariously through, LOL, but we can both do that through the lovely preggos on this board! I really love that first year of babyhood, and I think it is so important for mommy and baby to really bond during that first year, so hopefully concentrating on that and the other kiddos will take your mind off it. How are your older kids doing with the baby? Are they helpful? My oldest is 9 right now too, younger is 6, and they are so eager for me to have a baby (which kinda makes it harder, too) so they can be little mamas.

I love seeing a little sister run to a big one when they get hurt! I always wanted a close relationship with my sister but don't have one due to her judgmental nature and my mothers "you two figure it out" method of child raising. I want my girls to genuinely love and depend on each other so when mine do that it makes me feel like I've helped them acheive something so wonderful.

Oh I know I'm blessed to be having a baby, just gotta get used to the idea of a girl as I've never thought of having one. The weird thing is in all my dreams since I've been pregnant the baby has always been a girl, maybe in the back of my mind I knew....who knows. I don't feel as though I need to leave the group, seeing others having boys doesn't upset me or anything. I'm about to go through my baby boxes to pack away the boy stuff and see what girl stuff I'll need as I think I have about 70% boy stuff! I've said it before but I always wanted/felt I'd have boys, I do NOT see myself as really having much to offer my girls ... and when I heard DD1 was a girl I was bummed though nowhere near the GD I experienced with DD2 or 3. But oh my goodness. When I held her after she was born it was instant, and never for a second would I change her. Thanks Begonia, Yes I will be having another scan or 2 before she is born. My placenta is 1cm away from my cervix so they want to see how it's going between 32 and 34 weeks. I'd like another scan just for some photos as well.
I know my situation is nothing to complain about, some of you ladies have gone through it time and time again and this is my first time. I am worried something is wrong with me :(

I have had + OPKs all day today and last night. They are VERY positive no doubt about it!

My chart shows O was 4 days ago. And I am sure I did too....

I do not feel like I am ovulating right now...

And I am only 4 dpo so there is no way the OPK is picking up on conception this early.

I am freaking out something is wrong with me :(

So so sorry I keep going on about it but this has never happened to me. After O, I get - or a faint test line, if that...

I'm having another at 28 weeks b/c they couldn't see her heart well enough at 20 and I'm really looking forward to it. 5 I would call your doc in the am. That's definitely odd if it isn't normal for you ... I mean, there's ALWAYS some LH in the urine, it's just not supposed to be enough to trigger a +OPK until right around O time. So it's strange that you're still getting positives. Don't freak out though! It's probably totally fine!

What a fun date night! Well, I can tell you this: the reason the Duluth Ballet is cheaper is because they are a civic company, meaning their dancers are all students (youth-high school at the oldest). The Atlanta Ballet is all professional, like my company is, meaning all of my dancers are paid, this is their job all day long...they were once students also, but now are expected to get on that stage and not ever mess up, LOL. MOST of the time, the professional shows are way, way better, because we have a bigger budget for production and, of course, our dancers are the cream of the crop. However, civic companies are important, and it is good to support them too, because I pick graduating student from civic companies to join our pro company. I'd say go for whichever you feel like! Hope you have a blast!!!

And yes, Netti it up, you will thank me.

FWIW I still have a hard time referring to this baby as she/her when I speak about her. I usually still say the baby or it. It does take getting used to.

That's how I was with #3. I really held on to a shred of hope that my u/s was wrong and that she was secretly a boy. I hated telling people I was having a girl; I felt embarrassed, like I failed at making a "good" baby. Begonia, I know I probably don't seem like I should be giving advice on this, since I have a boy, but I have read a lot of your posts, and I COMPLETELY understand how you are feeling right now. A lot of what you say I could have written myself. I just wanted to tell you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I am FINALLY starting to really enjoy my DD2 now that she is 19 months. I feel awful saying this, but for most of her first year, I really didn't enjoy her at all. :( I hate GD! I feel so guilty now for wasting all of her baby time wishing she were someone else. :(

Oh, well, it took me a few years to figure him out. But he gets up really early in the morning (he works at 7am) and while the rest of the house is asleep, he looks at naked ladies on the computer and has fun! I accidentally caught him a couple times, when I couldn't sleep, and got up a few minutes after him. Now that he knows I know, we talk about it freely. He would be mortified to know that I am telling you all this!!

Hey everyone, AF showed up yesterday afternoon, so I am on to round two. We won't attempt this cycle, because I screwed up the diet for the entire 2WW and DH wasn't good about taking his supps--I was completely sure I was pg! I felt pg and everything. Oh well. I am stuffing my face to make up for lost time!! Next attempt will be in December.

Ladies need advice, do you think I should go to the dr and check that my levels are all ok?

I am worried something is wrong with me :(

I have had + OPKs all day today and last night. They are VERY positive no doubt about it!

My chart shows O was 4 days ago. And I am sure I did too....

I do not feel like I am ovulating right now...

And I am only 4 dpo so there is no way the OPK is picking up on conception this early.

I am freaking out something is wrong with me :(

So so sorry I keep going on about it but this has never happened to me. After O, I get - or a faint test line, if that...

TTC5 - sorry...i dont know nothing about this...hope everything is fine with the doc appointment.

Not a bad idea to get a blood draw and check.....I had 4 days of +opks the month I took a bunch of DHEA (and also conceived the last time). Atomic said maybe I ovulated twice, and I saw your post about that but haven't had time to read yet....but probably nothing to worry about. Are you having o pains anymore? You would not even have implantation yet, so they are still detecting LH in your system.

Well last night the test was negative!!!! Who knows? Will recheck today. Def too early for hcg as implantation only starts at 5dpo at the earliest.

OK everyone, check this out: I used to be a size 6, went up to a 12 with the boy diet for about a year and 4 months, and now have been back to my old eating habits (AND a vegetarian for 4 days now, LOL) for only a month and am a size 8 now. LOVIN' IT!!!!!!! I am so excited about the vegetarian diet....our whole family is doing it.....I have this hope that it will turn our situation around and make my DH become a super sperm factory. I've been reading about how it can change so much in your body in "The China Study," which I highly recommend!

My big kids are so great with Honor! I was actually surprised b/c when Galen was born they didn't show a lot of interest in him. Maybe b/c we'd just had so many big life changes... Anyways, they adore Honor - talking to her, changing her, holding her. They are also a really big help around the house :D

Hobber sorry to hear you got AF! And FWIW I totally appreciate your understanding. I am EXACTLY that way - I really hate having to say "it's a girl" when people ask. The fact that you (and Skrimpy) have boys doesn't in anyway exempt you (IMO at least) from having GD with your daughters. I think it will get easier for me for sure once she is here... when I think about holding her right after she's born I can't wait  But part of me is pretty sure this is going to persist in some form for a while after her birth; it didn't with DD2 bc I knew we'd have one more shot, but this is for sure my last baby I birth... we have talked a lot about adoption the past couple of weeks so IF we do a 4th that will be how he arrives.

Lola I owe you a PM :) I keep re-reading the last one you sent me so thank you. You're the best. Really. Glad the new veg lifestyle is suiting everyone well!

Yeah, I really screwed up. I just felt pg right after I O'ed, so I did keep up the diet for a couple days, but then it was Halloween, and I ate candy and all kinds of other crap... I just thought, 'why do the diet still? I know I am pg', and I didn't keep DH on his supps, and now I regret it! I hope I didn't keep the baby from implanting by being so slack. My only thought is, I never did this diet before and had 3 perfect pregnancies, so obviously it is not a must for me. And I definitely kept up my calorie intake, but a lot of that was sugary food, so I bet my blood sugar was off.... oh well. I will be better next time!!

Ttc5- holy crap girl, wth? Fx everything straightens out soon.

Bec- I do believe she did say that and fwiw I never layed of the diet, I skipped bread in the 2ww but that was it. Make the diet simpler, I ate meat with veg or meat with fruit. The more stressful you make it the harder it'll be to stay with it.

TTC5, keep us posted on what the doctor says if you go. I am curious about what's going on.

See, I am the man in our relationship, LOL....even though I don't watch porn, I am the horny one. This is why I think my DH has low T. But maybe he does sneak it in. The ex with the porn addiction said it's just a visual thing, all guys do it, blah blah.....BUT he always begged me to dye my hair blond and grow it really long and go to a tanning bed and wear this and that in the sack, it got weird. It was like the only thing that turned him on at one point so he could never just be with me, or any girl afterwards, apparently, like a normal person. But once, just to see what he'd do, I subscribed to a, um, ladies' site and left it up online and he FREAKED out and said how could I look at other naked guys. It was awesome. What a douche. That is why I am leery of guys and porn, I guess, but I do know that many use it wisely, LOL.

And seriously, please don't be jealous of me. I still look like a cow, but losing this weight is the only thing I can do now. If I could get pg easily, I would be on the diet still. Or hell, probably have a baby by now.

Don't worry about the psychics, but I hear you about wanting to skip a cycle with the diet. I don't think a little laxness in the 2ww would kill your sway, but I agree with 3p1b, you might as well have a good confident month.

Begonia, you take all the time in the world, lady. I am glad to see you still around. We can never quit GD, it is funny.

YAY for 3rd tri, 3p1b!!! May it be a non-painful and joyous one for you!

So, last night, my youngest says, "Mommy, when are you going to have a baby? I thought you wanted to have one? How many miscarriages did you have? Was it 2? Didn't you have one before G was born (big sis)? I just want you to have one soon." Just ALL sorts of questions. I guess it is good and bad to let your kids in on this stuff. I'd just hate for her to repeat it to anyone. I am usually doing ok these days, especially with feeling better about my figure, but it still hits me hard. I've done my homework on IVF now and am putting it on the backburner for a while. I'd hate to go to ridiculous lengths and expense to have a baby when we could have had a free one if we would have just waited a bit longer.

Meh. At least I get to hear Nutcracker music all day, which is making me happy. Plus, I am finding a new outlet for my ridiculous need to gather information incessantly, which is vegetarianism. And buying Christmas presents early, which makes me feel rather on top of things.

You might be....I only have a few friends that don't care either, and I have many who think it is a visual form of cheating, in a way. I think it is rather liberated of you, Hobbs! And ya know, you gotta do some things, make some concessions, in marriage sometimes. If you've got a horndog for a husband, better he's in the bathroom with porn than knocking on your door 3x a day or worse, at a hotel with a hooker or something!!!

Just wanted to say that we are pretty open with all that kind of stuff as well. I used to work as an assistant manager in an adult store(did all the toy orders, prescreened movies etc, was on floor helping people find the right toys etc...boy have I got some good stories! LOL)and I'm pretty laid back when it comes to porn. My hubby and I have no issues with each other looking at it(we're not sex addicts or anything;))and I know that in our relationship it causes zero problems. I do know of many couples where it hurt the relationship though:( Being open is so open important when it comes to that kind of thing.

Lola - ok maybe not skinny but at least on the way down. I too am hoping for a pretty good third trimester :)
It's rough when kids ask those kinds of questions especially since the truth is so unsatisfying for them. Not long after we told the kids dd2 asked if we were going to lose this baby too. It ripped out my heart to have to tell her I honestly didn't know but was doing everything I could to keep it safe. These are the days I wish we weren't so honest with them.

Hobber & doula - I know I'm in the minority amongst my real life friends. My sil and bil's gf both freak if they even suspect their men have had a peek. I think it's got a lot to do with his honesty, usage and time spent together lol We've got 17 years, he doesn't lie about it and knows I don't care if he looks at it as long as he's not off with it instead of being with me.

Im scared of december lol because almost the only time i bake is around christmas and there is pies and gingerbread , cookies ,and other pastries I make and I want to eat it lol So I need a bfp now !

EAT them! LOL I would anyway :P

3P1B! 3rd trimester already? Wow, baby Charlie will be here so soon!

TTC5, what did the dr. say?

Flava, I worry about all that xmas baking too, but oh well... my DS was conceived in Dec., so I think it is a good month for me. I hope anyway!!

Lola, I think I am in the minority far as the porn is concerned. Most women don't seem to want their DH to look at it. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with it. :(

My app is Monday they were all booked out till then :(

Oh the little precious hey!!!! I have told my girls well bigger two anyway that I have lost babies in the past. DD2 always asks about her twin. I didn't tell you ladies that I saw John Edward last month hey? He picked up that we want more kids but stopped there (I think cos it was a live show and my Mum was next to me, so prob knew to protect my privacy lol) but he said there was a twin around me ..... made DH and I cry!

Oh what a sleeze! And LOL at your payback!!!

Yep I go to dr Monday.

Lola: My older children know about our losses, but normally don't bring them up. Maybe your DD notices your weight change and thinks your not TTCing anymore. I have a friend who's DH has hardly any sperm and they did IVF and only got 20 sperm and only 10 were usable....they got PG their first try. I am so happy for them. She did say the IVF is like buying a car, but so much more worth it. I do understand about debt, though....we try avoid it at all cost, too. You are sooo lucky to enjoy the Nutcracker all the time!!!

3p1b: I know, only one of my children know we are expecting....they would all be asking if the baby would be a "take home" one if I told them.

Well, the sinus yuck is gone now, but now I am coughing and it is all in my chest. Yuck....I just want to feel normal!!!

Hobber- yeah I didn't really want to hope it didn't matter when it came to my sway. I didn't wait till everything was perfect ie moon, pH etc just the stuff I could control. Fwiw dd3 was due 8/11 and she's e sweetest little bunny in my herd :)

B- I'm sure your gd will linger for a bit after delivery, mine did w/dd3, but having a sweet little critter to cuddle really does help.
Oh believe me I can't wait for my old ass to be back and my stamina, I've already got next summers race schedule all figured out lol.

It's official ladies, third trimester for me!!

Woohoo, 3rd trimester! Bub will be here in no time :)

I had the most funniest and strangest dream ever last night (think it is from chatting to all you ladies too much )

Dreamt that I moved to America and went to a beach. It was so strange, it was HUGE with lots of clear, crashing, frothy white waves and water and was like a beach/pool in one! Anyway so there were these huge gorillas EVERYWHERE like the ones from the Cadbury add if anyone has seen that add? (I will try and find it on You Tube lol) they were allll over the beach hahahaha the weather so was lovely and sunny and hot and I just loved it, LOL.

Just wondering how does that work ? so we trick our bodies into believing times are good but how does that allow us to conceive a boy?

I think it means that girls are more hardier than boys, and so if our bodies are less nourished we tend to favour more girls? Doesn't count for everyone though because I know lots of boys born to mothers who are on drugs, alcohol, little nutrition, illness..

Flava, I know what you mean about Christmas coming up. It is going to be so hard to resist eating all that yummy food. We do what we have to do though I guess!

3P1B, I think my diet is pretty simple. I just hate having to eat protein with every meal/snack. I can't wait to feel hungry again. I'm always full and just eating for the sake of it. Woo hoo for third trimester, that has gone so fast!

Hobbers, I don't mind my DH looking at porn either. We look at it together though mostly. One thing I don't like is strippers. He only ever goes to them on bucks nights but I hate the thought of them. I trust him completely I just don't trust them.

Lola, your ex sounds like a freak. Lucky he is an ex. At least you know IVF is there if/when you need it. How long do you think you will try naturally for?

DM, ita with you. It is so important to be open about that kind of stuff.

TTC5, I would show you my previous charts but I don't think they will come up with symptoms etc. on there as I'm not a paid member of FF. Can still show you if you like? LOL at your gorilla dream.

I'll catch up in the rest later but wanted to chime in on this.

Lbam- here's the gist of it. The male fetus requires more calories then the female fetus. If your body thinks times are good the fertilized male egg has a better chance to burrow in and grow, if your body thinks that the fetus has little chance of survival it can end things before it begins. Your body doesn't want to produce a fetus that it can't support and has little chance of survival after birth.
We all know of exceptions to this theory but that doesn't make it any less valid.

So the diet doesn't give you extra chances of getting a male sperm to fertilise the egg, it just helps if by chance a male sperm does get to the egg.

TTC5- Thats neat you got to meet John Edwards and he picked up on that, to bad he couldn't/wouldn't tell you more.

WP - my kids never knew about m/c till last Oct, I hated having to tell them that things don't always work out.
Sorry your yuck had sunk into your chest, coughs seem to linger much longer then any stuffed head.

LBAM- swaying isn't a guarantee because you can't be sure which sperm hits the egg but you can make the environment and the sperm at optimal as possible. You can be well nourished but if your calorie intake isn't what your body deems a boy safe environment then you may have a girl, you can have poor sperm and a shitty diet but if your calorie intake is super high your body can decide it's a boy rich place. There isn't a perfect combo that works for everyone and like I said there is always someone who doesn't fit the mold. I'm one of those that got a boy with a 5.5ish pH so don't think it was a huge factor for me but your diet changes your cm, healthier more nutrient rich cm can give those little blue swimmers an advantage. Your DH should be on the diet as well to improve his sperm so when those swimmers hit the boy friendly cm they have a better chance. Basically the diet makes everything optimal and ready but again there is no guarantee.

Flava - I was lovin' our cooler weather for a while too, now I'm freezing my buns off lol

Bec - if eating protein is hard for you then I would say it's a very important factor for you. I really believe the things that are the hardest to change are the ones that will change out bodies the most.
I'm with you on the stripper thing, mental contact is one thing but half naked girl wanting his money is something totally different. I too completely trust my dh but don't trust a woman willing to rub and kiss a married man. I know not all strippers are sleazy but in general I'd rather they stay away :)

Exactly....but I am glad I have an open enough relationship with them that they feel comfortable talking to me about that stuff. Their innocence and candor is just so touching, even if they ask the exact question that you ask yourself fifty times a day, kwim? How exciting that your girls get to experience all of this with you, and the arrival of a little brother, though!

And you are also right about the honesty factor.....I think that is where the comfort level with porn comes in. And also the part about still being normal about sex with you, the real woman! To be honest, I haven't even gotten that far with my new DH, even though we've been together for 3 years. Since he was a dancer, I thought he was probably a huge ladies' man (read: womanizer) when we first met, but he isn't, just a normal sweet guy. He is more reserved than most I've been with, though. I just don't know if he does masturbate much, and quite frankly, I wouldn't care, except for the low sex drive thing and the low sperm count thing. I think I am going through the newlywed phase still, LOL!

There has to be a reason though why some people only have the same gender and some have GBGBGB or is purely just 50/50 chance and luck.

LBAM, you sound like me circa a year ago. I was all philosophical and questioning of swaying. I am a very scientific person, so things really need to have a good correlation to make me believe in it.

This is what I have concluded (and 3 and I are currently philosophizing about this on another thread which you may have read): swaying is like rolling a big huge dice. Say your personal dice has not 6 sides, but 1000. Many sides are pink, and many are blue. When you conceive, you are essentially rolling the dice in regards to gender. When you sway, you just turn more of your pink sides to blue ones, although there will still be many pink sides. You can't turn them all blue. And there is really no tellin' how much you can convert to blue through swaying, although many studies cited on this site show that diet really seems to make a difference. You are simply giving yourself a higher chance of your desired gender, but NOT a guarantee.

Some women can sway their butts off and do everything 150% and still end up with an opposite, and then some barely sway and get what they wanted. So, you really have to just decide what you think might help you and do your best, but really, it is important to go into it knowing, and really believing, that you could get either gender, and that nothing you did or could have done would have made a difference. This is a guilt-free swaying site.

I hope that helps answer your question....and at least make you feel better about it all. Personally, I say why not sway. It does up your odds, I firmly believe that. As long as your heart and mind are on the same page about it not being a formula for your desired gender, it is all good.

It is kinda extreme, and he's not the only one.....I had a guy friend from childhood who got divorced after 10 years because all that turned him on was Asian lesbians. Turns out he's marrying an Asian girl tomorrow actually, but I digress......it got to be such an obsession that he could not get it up with his wife anymore, and he was online several times a day.

I also think it depends a lot on how secure you are personally with your marriage and yourself, ya know? I say that because I went through a bad insecure period with this weight gain this past year. Of course, knowing my DH is around blithe little ballerinas all day long and his sex drive was dropping like the temperature and I was getting fatter by the minute definitely messed with my mind. However, normal me would not really care about the porn either as long as it wasn't turning into a fetish that was bad for the marriage.

WP, sorry you are having the chest stuff now! I've had it for 3 weeks now, a low grade bronchitis I think. Only thing that helps is Mucinex (which I don't mind taking now, LOL) and steam! I had to get a vaporizer/humidifier for our room and the girl's room...the heat dries us up so much. I hope you feel better soon, mama!

5, what a crazy dream! Is it cold where you are in Aus? Maybe it's a sign you should come visit the States!

Bec, how is your opk now? Strange month with opks, eh? I hope you guys decided to go again. I think we will try naturally for a year until we look any further into IVF. It would be SO much better for us to have it happen naturally, just financially. I know it would be worth it, but it would be a bite for a long time to make that payment plus figure out how to pay for one of us to stay home with baby for a bit. And I would not be down with strippers, either, for exactly the same reason....not trusting them. And our DH's don't need some real live lady shaking her boobs in his face, they have us for that. The internet is a different story.

Yea, me too, LOL! Maybe we should get NBP to start a naughty thread on the private board?

Omg! That would be hilarious! Yeah...these stories are for people that can handle some pretty weird things!!! Let's just say- I used to sell "make your own dildo kits"(molded from your own penis) and a 70yo man came in asking exactly how to do it! Trying not to laugh was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to do! The other stories are wayyyy raunchier....rated R:) LOL! Oh...I had a guy come in and grab "the fist". It's a 15" long dildo in the shape of a fist and forearm!! Along with that he plunked a BUCKET of lube down down beside it on the front desk!!! I just rang it all up, very professional and all, and asked him if he wanted a bag;) LOL! He was a little red in the face when he said, "yes".Hahahahahahaha! Omg... The things I've seen!!!

Plus, when you work in one of those places, many people assume you're in the movies that are on the shelves... Nice. I don't know how many times I was asked what I did "outside" of work. Yech!!! Um, I go to school, thanks. This is solely to make money and to laugh at all the weirdos we have in our town.... ;)

Haha, DM, that is so funny! I remember going to a sex store for the first time and having my jaw drop at all the interesting toys and videos! I swear, some of the stuff people are into......I just felt prude in there and I ain't that prude in real life! I remember IG used to have a private forum about sex and marriage stuff, we should have one here too, I bet it would be helpful to a lot of gals.

Bec, I'd go for it again. I don't believe timing matters though.

Hey 3, refresh my memory, when did you dtd for Charlie? (I love saying that!)

I got lucky, I o'd late so when we hit 4 day abstinance we dtd, 2 days later I got the +opk and based on my u/s I conceived the following day. I O overnight so long story short we got o-2 and o.
I love hearing Charlie but it still just feels like people are just playing along. I've spent to long talking "if" to really believe lol

Hopefully someone will throw one for you with the next bub :) I don't want a baby shower, I have so much already plus I don't expect people to buy me things.

Flava!! Last attempt (that didn't work) I had the same problem, but I DTD after the 4 day abstinance, then 48hrs later I got my +opk so we DTD then and the day following as well. Are you having EW already? If so, I say DTD. I wouldn't let your DH wait much longer!

3P1B, I think you might be onto something with the protein. The only protein I ever used to really eat was at dinner time. I know I am definitely at least doubling my old protein intake so I think that's pretty good.

Lola, I did one more OPK and it was negative. I told myself no matter what the result of it was that I had to stop checking. If I hadn't of done another one I would have never have seen the positive OPK and wouldn't have stressed. Pretty sure I didn't O again though. We didn't end up DTD again, just wasn't in the mood and it didn't feel right. I so hope it doesn't take you a year to get your bubba. It sounds like you have really thought about it all and are comfortable with your decision, that's great.

TTC5 and Flava, can't believe after 4 kids you have never had a baby shower?!

Bumblebee, it's hard feeling so full isn't it? It will settle down though.

Flava, what's happening with your OPKs now?

I have had a pretty crappy week. We had to get our dog put down, she had kidney failure :( Then my dad ended up on hospital a few days ago with respiratory problems, he's fine now though. It's just been a bit emotional!
I have been having a few symptoms- sore back, cramps and crying at the simplest things. I hope they are all good signs!

Flava I agree, I would go now if you think you are close!!!

5- It's more my dad's gf but yes, it's very nice of them. I really didn't want to do one but they insisted. I never had one w/dd1 because me grandma had open heart surgery. My sister threw one for dd2 but we pretty much had everything by then. W/dd3 we threw a bbq after she was born, it was more of a meet and greet kinda thing lol You're not out till the flood gates open!!

Hobber - don't feel guilty for getting hungry just grab a snack, I lived off raisons, cashews, string cheese and hard boiled eggs between meals, ooh and never doubt the joy of celery in peanut or cashew butter :)

Bec- my biggest issue was I was an obsessive calorie counter so even though I ate carbs, fat and protein at each meal the quantities were small. It was so hard eating without regard but it got easier and it definitely paid off.
Sorry for such a rough week but I'm glad your dad is ok. It's hard putting a pet down but I always choose to embrace that they are no longer sick or in pain so it was a good thing. Big hug to you.

Fava - if you've got ewcm go for it!

Well my sil (dh's brother's wife) rsvp'd to baby shower that she was bringing her mother. I politely informed her I'm not paying so I'm trying to keep it to close friends and family and her response was basically that since her dh wasn't coming she figured her mom would just fill his space. Really?! This isn't like we bought tix to a movie so any butt is better then wasting a seat. Sil won't do anything without her mom and omg her mom is a bitch. She's then said maybe just count on her and the kids and she'll see if she can ditch her mom, $20 says she brings her or doesn't come at all. Because I'm a bitch I hope she blows it off entirely

3-5 days abst. is good so we wait and see if I get a smiley tomorrow we do it and hopefully a day or 2 after that.
Im out of CB monitor tests so now I can't see when i would have a peak window. just great...But Im not running out to spend 50$ on it now!

5, my DH is totally convinced too. He just wants to go back on his whey protein!

3, it was very hard to see our dog go. She had been sick for a while with kidney failure and I am glad she is finally at peace. I really can't stand when people take it upon themselves to invite others to events. We had a wedding on the weekend and a woman there took her best friend along as her 'plus 1'. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't agree with that at all. I always classify 'plus 1' as a partner.

Flava, so hope you get your positive soon. What CD did you O last cycle?

Kris, thankyou :)

2pinkNoblue- welcome! Most of us here are IG defectors. I was jensgirls but have been here since Feb. I love your name, until Sept 23rd I was 3PinkNeedBlue so gl and blue dust to you!!

Bec- a couple years ago we had to put our dog down after 10yrs with her. I didn't mean to sound callous, even when it's in their best interest it still hurts so much so make that choice.
ITA, your guest is your partner or kids not any old person you want to grab! That said my mom's standing wedding date is my kids but these days all the weddings are for her friends kids and they invite all of us.
Why did you pull dh's whey protein?
