CD1 today for me!!! Wahoo - I'm back in the game, ladies!!!! Got a call into my doctor and my pharmacy about my Clomid prescription. I was hoping I would start tomorrow as if we got pregnant this cycle, my due date would be on my birthday! That's ok - at least a new cycle has started!

I got a letter in the mail yesterday from my step-grandma - who found out about my miscarriages through my stepmom who blabbered to multiple family members about it. She told me in the letter that because I had complications after my 2nd son's birth (which my current OBGYN is fully aware of and feels confident that he will be able to manage/prevent this time around), I'm risking death by trying for a third and that my miscarriages are my body telling me I can't have another baby and that I should stop. Seriously? I was so angry I did over an hour at the gym last night at a higher intensity than I normally do to try to burn off my anger. How about people not tell you how to manage your own life or make your own decisions, am I right? She didn't even have her facts straight about my whole situation. Ugh. Oh well - my night was made happier by Pbn's news & today is happy because AF is here! (Crazy that ttc-ing can make you excited to see AF when you're waiting to try again haha!!)

Thanks Mommy and Mummy. I still believe we can have a healthy baby. I just can't believe the audacity of someone to tell you that they know what's best for you, when she doesn't even have a medical background. She has 4 children, never had a m/c (she told me that), so it's interesting she can tell when my family is complete or why I've had m/cs. As you can tell I'm still a little worked up :) Trying to let it go and hopefully I can soon as I have other things to think about :)

Mummy ahhhhhh love those words!!!!!!!!! SOOOOO happy for you!!

Abc I find the older generation (including my DHs grandma) give unwanted and terrible opinions lol

She told me, more like lectured me my son didn’t need antibiotics for for his bacterial tonsillitis he needed ice cream...(was in hospital with extremely high fever that wouldn’t come down.) I now just smile and nod at whatever crap she says :D

Girlsway haha WOW about the ice cream!! That's certainly interesting advice!! I know - my stepgrandma is old and I shouldn't take her letter personally it just felt so personally invasive and insensitive - especially less than 4 weeks after my m/c. Sigh - oh well! I've gotten 2 good workouts in the past two days to deal w/ my frustration about it so at least that's good for my girl sway :)

How many months have you been ttc mwilson? I’ve been trying 4 Months and fed up already!Just to chime in here.. we tried TTC our last daughter for 7 months before getting pregnant. Then miscarried at 20 weeks in June. We've been TTC ever since. That's 6 months. I've moved onto ivf now but I just wanted to say .. this whole TTC a girl thing takes a while for Sure! It can be so frustrating.
Hopefully this is your month!

Mummy, so happy for you girl!! Praying for a healthy 9 months!! And that you get your girl!

Update on me: still waiting to O... My temps are still unusually high pre O temps. I took a hpt test yesterday morning just to make sure my 3 day light period was in fact, AF. It was negative... just trying to make sense of these temps. [emoji848] I'm using OPKs twice daily... wondfos are still very light, and Clearblue advanced have been blinking the smiley face for 4 and a half days.

During my first round of Clomid last month, I had a ton of side effects and this time I took Clomid earlier in my cycle and haven't had many side effects at all. I've had just slight cramping maybe the past day or so. Hoping O day comes this cycle! I've been staying on the E4D schedule.

I’ve scrapped opks just doing e4d now, don’t need the stress of guessing! This is my last month for OPK and then we are going to do E4D if no success this month. It's too time consuming (for me) and I can't keep track of charting as I hoped. So I'm hoping I get it this month.

This diet (while has been overall great for me health) gets old after so many months.

So we will see what plays out.Agreed. I slid a little during the holidays, then had illness that set me back. But still tons of coffee, no breakfast, I gave up working out because my son just didn't do well in the daycare and it's too cold to run outside, I mostly avoid meat but have had it when at a friend's house or had family over.

I've gotten less strict too :( :( Had some definitely not good days over the holidays and the no snacking thing has become harder. I've been swaying almost 10 months now (with a few weeks off after each of my two BFPs) and I just can't stay as strict anymore. Plus I've lost over 50 lbs and can't lose a whole lot more. Although I don't feel too terrible about it... I feel like the cheats over the past month are probably not enough to undo the prior 9 months of hard work, I know my blood sugar levels have improved a lot b/c it's become easier for me to lose weight now than it was before, and b/c I know I've depleted myself so much nutrient-wise & I've had two miscarriages, I kinda feel like maybe my body needs a bit more right now to get and stay pregnant. Ugh - we'll see though.... Still doing coffee, alcohol, exercise (though not quite as much), and Clomid. This whole process has definitely taken so much longer than I thought it would.

BUT - I've also seen Atomic say on here more than once that she's seen the more relaxed sways sometimes be more successful than the super strict ones... maybe because those relaxed swayers aren't being all sway-obsessed (which sways boy!). So maybe our being more relaxed will actually help us all out in the end. And I know Pbn had basically stopped swaying completely when she got pregnant with her new baby girl!! So there is always hope!!

I'm so confused with what's going on... I tried to Google if high pre O BBT is a side effect of any of the new stuff I introduced this cycle-- metformin and pregnitude. And nothing came up. All that I was seeing online were hypothyroidism associated with higher temps. I've never had this issue before! Never even had my thyroid checked bc I never had any reason to. I'm going on day 6 of flashing smileys and my FF app is giving me weird interpretations based on my past cycles in comparison to this one.

CM was more watery yesterday with some EW consistency. My doc told me that I should O 5 to 10 days after my last pill-- last day would be CD17 and I'm on CD15. Temp this morning was 98.82, still very very high than what it normally is

Leaving her for couple secs and it’s a whole fiasco.🤪 Don’t know how I’ll cope. They had suckers at the front desk and he was allowed to have one, once, in daycare (They typically don't allow it) and that seems to be the straw the broke the camels back. He screamed and cried every time I dropped him off and often had to come get me [emoji58].

So that was the end of that until I am mentally prepared to try again.

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Eighme that’s one strong willed lad you have there. Has to have what he wants. Hopefully all goes well trying to get him back. In the meantime I’ll brace myself for worst case scenario with DD.
Star I wouldn’t worry to much, I oed cd21 last month because I started swaying or something went crazy. I’d stick to the cheapie opks. They seem more reliable right now. Looking at them, they’re not as dark/darker than test line yet. I’ve seen some say (online) they got the solid smiley sometimes after 6-8 flashing ones. It’s great that you have the other 2 (bbt and digis) to fall back on for confirmation. (Me channeling my pbn3.How did I do? [emoji39][emoji4][emoji4])

Star usually when I’m nervous about something, or it’s weighing on me... I just ask myself what the worst case scenario is. Most times I end up realising its never that serious.[emoji6]
Right now, WCS is that you don’t o this cycle. It could mean that your body is getting used to the clomid and might take a cycle or 2 to settle down.
Just take it one day at a time. The great thing is there’s progression with your IC opks!! Mine last month I seriously thought I’d oed cd 8, 14, 17, 19,20 and 21! Lol I diagnosed myself in one thread to atomic saying I have PCOS, how should I sway. Made an appointment with GP for a cd21 blood (which I keep postponing). Luckily I was temping and only the rise confirmed I had truly oed cd21. By the time AF came, most people were anxiously waiting for a BFP while I was relieved it had showed.
My point really is calm down, it could just be this cycle or your body is taking a while to prepare. Stress won’t help the situation. I know how you feel. Relax girl. [emoji6]

So, I tried charting temps. But I have a toddler whose in and out of my bed first thing in the morning and I often find myself forgetting. So this hasn't helped me at all (my fault)

So, I took two OPKs yesterday, in the afternoon, one was almost positive but not quite, the second was lighter. I tested today and it's even lighter. Would you keep testing ( I'm going to test this evening) or go ahead and make an attempt as I'm "predicted" to ovulate today tomorrow.

This may not be a very answerable question. Just wanted some input from you lovely ladies.

And yes... CM was more watery yesterday with some EW consistency. My doc told me that I should O 5 to 10 days after my last pill-- last day would be CD17 and I'm on CD15. Temp this morning was 98.82, still very very high than what it normally is

When I used the manual opk's I never got a line that was darker than the control line, even though I was ovulating. It would be almost as dark, but then start getting lighter. As such I gave up with those and switched to digital.

I got a line darker than the control last time. It could be that you ovulate later. Like ABC says though, if its getting lighter then maybe an attempt wouldn’t hurt. If it gets darker later, no harm, you’ll have another attempt.
Do you do the 3 hour pee hold before you test Eighme? I think Pbn3 mentioned testing between 1-3pm is optimal time in the morns.

Oh, I need to talk! I learned that one of my best friends is having triplets (one identical pair) after several years of trying. I'm so happy for her, but I was a bit sad, since I've lost my identical twins and can't get pregnant for some reason, and today i was convinced that this cycle was also unsuccessful, although I was cramping for several days, but thought probably it's similar to pre af, and a little bit of discharge I got looked also similar to last cycle. Anyway, I just now tested with cheapie, and I think I see something, it's just my eyes are also inflammated and I wonder if it's true, or it just seems to me, it's barely there. And now I have a cup of coffee in front of me and not sure if I should drink it (I only drank it to sway), and I have to use antibiotics drops in my eyes for a couple of days, and also my cramping is pretty strong, is it normal? Sorry for rant.

I took a photo, but I can't see anything there. Ah, have to wait I guess.

I've started temping so we will see what it tells about ovulation compared to opks. Probably start opks cd 8 and then bd every 4 days starting cd 9. Thanks for finger crossing! Keep us updated!

It seems I got happy too early :( Two days later and the strip is as light or even a bit lighter than before. And supposedly AF was due today. Does this mean I'm miscarrying?
I was swaying pink, and this is our 5th real cycle of trying, and we did e4d + one attempt, since I was on 3rd month of Femara (for swaying). Before this, we tried 3 cycles of one attempt, and one cycle e4d, and I was getting impatient and worried, since it took me 1-3 cycles become pregnant previous 3 times, and I turned 39 already.

Thank you ladies for reassurance and kind words.
Sorry about last month, noemy. I hope this month you will get your sticky bean.
No, I don't measure temperature, so I have no idea what to expect, and I never had faint bfp few days in a row. Actually I never saw bfp that early in the cycle (it was cd25 and today is cd27), it's just my cycles are shorter now, and since I used opks, I think I'm 13-14dpo, so the line should have been darker by now. I guess there is nothing I can do just to wait for a few days. Yesterday I was feeling pretty pregnant, and either I'm too stressed or the symptoms have really gone.

Good morning girls. I was still waiting to O yesterday (CD18) when I started spotting in the morning... then AF started lightly and came on stronger through the night. So this month feels wasted. I'm going to call my doc today to see if he'll consider increasing my dosage to 100mg. Originally he told me his plan is to do 3 cycles on 50mg, 2 cycles on 100mg, and if none of those get me pregnant, do 150mg for the 6th cycle--- then I would have to take a break from Clomid. The only thing I'm happy about is that I'm starting over and my AF temps are where they should be.

I'm also having terrible hot flashes at night, and nauseousness throughout the night after starting metformin. I've been taking it with my dinner in the late evening. We typically eat around 7 or 8pm just bc of our crazy schedules... Is there a better time to take it so that I don't have these side effects keeping me up at night?

Hope everyone is doing well. Xoxo

Girlsway - yea AF arrived last week... I'm CD7, should O in about a week. Going to start OPKs tomorrow :)

Sunstars - I'm so sorry :( With my December m/c, I had light lines that should would not darken much and then after about a week started to get lighter. It was terrible - the waiting part is the worst.

Star - That's so odd, why would AF start at CD18? Have you called your doc yet? Maybe the new meds have thrown things off?

mwilson - It looks like your temps were just still high the first two days of AF - which is normal and that's what mine do. I normally don't see my temps drop down to "pre-O" temps until CD5 or so. See what happens the next few days but my guess is they will even out some. Some day to day variation is normal and as girlsway said, oral temping causes that more than vaginal it seems, and mouth breathing can throw it off too. But since day 3 your temps have only fluctuated between 97.1 and 97.4 which seems pretty normal.

Pbn! So happy to see your post! :) Mara is gorgeous!! I love the name!

I got ahold of my doc's nurse yesterday and he is out of the office until Friday. She sent him a message about my concerns and that I requested an increase for my Clomid dosage but she told me that I would need to continue with the 50mg until my third round is over. They'll switch me to 100mg if this cycle doesn't work out. And yes I took a hpt and it was negative. I got AF on Sunday (cd18) and it came back with force! So it's a definite period. I'm on cd3 and plan on taking my 50mg Clomid tonight if I don't hear back from my doc himself by closing hours today.

I started my opks today. Hoping for a shorter cycle this time.

My sway is failing. I basically will only have the one attempt to count on. Whoops. Life is such. Too busy to figure out this diet and it's nothing my family likes.

Ok ladies I'm torn on whether DH and I should BD tonight. We BD-d on CD5 and now I'm CD9. I got my first flashing smiley on the dual opks today and I normally have 3-4 days of flashing before the solid smiley. So I expect to get a +OPK on CD12 or CD13 & we'll BD probably 12 hours or so after the +OPK. So if we BD-d on CD5, CD9 and CD12 or 13, that would be an E4D pattern (72-96 hours bet. attempts). We don't *need* to BD tonight, as we'll have an attempt at +OPK and today will probably be too far out from O to be viable, but I know Pbn has said it might help in conception to DTD a few times before your fertile period to get the body used to the sperm and less likely to reject it. But we did BD at CD5, so maybe that's enough?

Thoughts?? I basically have this dilemma every TTC cycle! :) :)

Thanks girlsway :)

What's interesting is that since July, we've TTC-d a total of 4 cycles (feels like more than that but I had to take a couple of cycles off after the miscarriages and 1 for fertility testing). We got pregnant on 2 out of 4 of those cycles (my two m/c's), and the 2 cycles we did get pregnant we had 1 or 2 "pre-fertile period" attempts at least 4 or 5 days before O. The 2 cycles we didn't get pregnant on we did not have a "pre-fertile period" attempt - we only had 1 unprotected attempt before O. So I'm wondering if there is something to the idea (at least maybe w/ my body!) that the sperm needs to get "used to" the sperm first!

mwilson
January 17th, 2018, 01:30 PM
I agree. I’d go for it today too. Just in case. And this way you will have fresh swimmers for the positive opk day. We had our first of the e4d last night on cd 7. We will continue e4d and thinking of adding at positive opk if it doesn’t land on the 4 days....maybe. We’ve just been trying for a while.

ABC.2606
January 17th, 2018, 01:41 PM
Thanks mwilson - yea it definitely becomes more of a dilemma when you have been trying for awhile and just want to get pregnant but also still want a girl! I'm really hoping this is the month, but I feel like since I definitely know we'll have another attempt in a few days at +OPK, I don't know if it's just doing "harm" to my girl sway to add one in today. Bleh. I'd feel better if I knew our next attempt would not be until CD13 but I have a feeling I might O earlier this cycle. I don't know.... I guess it will be a game time decision again tonight :) Maybe if we do, I'll J&D after 5 minutes or so to just to cut down on the amount that makes it in :) :) :)

Are you ladies doing E4D with 3 full days in between or 2 full days in between? I know Atomic counts either as E4D but I'm just curious what you are doing.

Thanks all for your feedback!!! I am soooooo indecisive... I had almost convinced myself not to BD tonight since we did on CD5 and right before AF started (so 2 unprotected times w/in the past two weeks), and I know another attempt is coming in a few days... But then I was thinking that on our CD5 attempt I got up fairly quickly after, since I knew it wasn't going to be viable, so maybe another attempt tonight wouldn't hurt. If we do it I think we will J&D soon after. Ahhhhh decisions :) :) :) I'm terrible at them!!!!!

Thanks, Filzma.

Well we didn't attempt and I feel like it's the right thing... I know it sounds really weird but I think I may be one of those people who finds E4D more stressful than 1 attempt at +OPK!!! I've thought about switching to E4D before but then I find I stress about which day to start it, whether to do 2 or 3 days between, how many hours will have lapsed between attempts, and then I get stressy (like I was earlier today thinking about this) about what if we have an attempt and then I'll get my +OPK like a day later and not know when to attempt again (since my body is weird and takes awhile to O after +OPK). Anyways... I find OPKs (especially the digitals) slightly more relaxing because I know I'll get one at some point and then can we can have our attempt. We DTD unprotected on CD5 and a couple of days before AF so hopefully my body has had enough exposure to DH's sperm and wont fight it off! LOL. So much awkward BD talk on these boards :)

Obviously I know it's a little harder maybe getting pregnant w/ 1 attempt vs. E4D but in our case, our issue the past 6 months hasn't been getting pregnant it's been staying pregnant. I think after our 1 attempt, we'll keep BD-ing every 72 hours or so until O is confirmed.

Thanks for the help all, I love this board!! Really hoping that the end of January/early Feb is FULL of BFPs!!!

Abc if it makes you nervous to bd unprotected in lead up to o then you can stick to bding unprotected from o to af to get sperm exposure then only bd unprotected at your pos opk from af to o for your one attempt if that feels less stressful for you [emoji16]

Pbn yea I think that's a good plan for me. I'm even fine BD-ing unprotected earlier in the cycle around day 5/6/7, it's just when I get closer to day 9 or 10 I start getting stressy about timing (as I've gotten +OPKs as early as CD11!). So I think that's a good idea - although hopefully this is THE cycle anyways! :) :)

Last past five months I was hoping to see at least a hint of a line... well, now I will be always afraid of faint lines, so 2ww will be even longer for me now.
So after several days of faint lines in a row, I stopped testing, and started bleeding yesterday (glad it didn't take too long). So cd2 for me I guess. I'll just do e4d (approx. every 72 hours) this cycle, will take a break from Femara, and add some alcohol (at least for a few days :)).

GirlSwayHGmama, no didn't find, but as I remember it didn't matter much. I don't like alcohol in general, only can tolerate some wine. I have Martini (vermouth) left from holidays and I like it, but again just a little bit.

I'm sorry sunstars :( I know what you mean about faint lines. After two early m/c with lots of faint lines that didn't progress a whole lot I'm terrified of them too now :(

GirlSwayHGmama - I'm a wine lover so I drink wine but I've read stuff online that vodka and red wine specifically have components in them that lower blood sugar (I think it's resveratrol?), which is good for a girl sway. So while I know the type of alcohol isn't too important I think red wine and vodka specifically are good choices! :)

Girlsway - You are CD17 today? And you did an OPK yesterday and today? I know with me, my OPKs remain positive for a very short time - I think I'm a "short surge" person. So if that's you as well, it would be very easy to miss the surge if you've only done one or two tests. Also - my OPKs are positive at least 48+ hours before I O so even if you had a negative today and yesterday you still could be O-ing anytime now if you're surge ended before O started. You're temping right? Hopefully that will help you confirm O any time now :) And I do think you will covered with E4D whenever O occurs!!

As for me.... I want to be pregnant. Seriously - I'm SO over swaying & waiting :( Negative OPKs today and no EWCM yet but hopefully in a few more days... pleeeease God let this be the cycle!!!!

Hello ladies. I’m jumping in with a question. This is my 3rd month of ttc and I am swaying girl. (Horribly I may add [emoji6]) Has anyone had spotting on cd22? Just when wiping. Nothing made it past that. And pink only. And now nothing. Just that one time. What do I make of this? I typically have a 31 day cycle and have a dancing O date. It jumps all over my chart but is usually later than average. (Cd18-22)

Hannah - so my last cycle (the cycle immediately following my early miscarriage in Dec), I had a bit of pinkish/reddish spotting - very slight - around day 14 or 15 I believe, which is about the time I normally ovulate (and I had other signs around that time that I might be ovulating). I looked it up and I guess "ovulation spotting" can happen with some women, although it's not super common. I've never had it before and it may have just been something more related to the m/c but who knows. Do you think you might have just ovulated? Are you tracking with OPKs or temping?

Girlsway - well if you're getting EWCM I think that's def a good sign!!!

mwilson - Yup looks positive to me!!!! WOOHOO goodluck!! FWIW I don't do J&D - I figure # of attempts is more important. Atomic got her girl w/o J&D. When we got pregnant in Aug & Nov, I stayed laying down for about 15 minutes before getting up and going pee - I think that helped in us conceiving.

GirlswayHGmama - Yea I'm with the others about Rephresh. It seems like Atomic really doesn't believe that it does much if anything in terms of swaying, just cuts the odds of conception. You could do an antihistamine a couple of hours before your attempt if you want to dry up CM & feel like you're adding something to your sway - although I don't think Atomic is very sold on that anymore either.

Robin - wonderful news!!! Please let us know how the egg retrieval goes!!!

Odd question, anyone ever use coconut oil as a lube? Since most lubes aren’t conception friendly, just curious for better options.

Do not use coconut oil as lube. Sperm is not meant to swim through oil and both semen and EWCM are water soluble. Coconut oil, regardless of what you read other places online, is not good for TTC.

I would use a small amount of any sperm safe, conception friendly jelly like Preseed as a lube. Larger amounts may sway blue, use o nly the minimum amount needed for comfy BD.

Trust me.. I dropped it the second month of TTC my first daughter I didn't get pregnant. Atomic told me it doesn't really sway that heavily anyhow

When we calculated it, the RepHresh (and in fact all jellies) had the exact same results both for people using them and not using them. This was identical to the overall success rate of the site indicating the jellies do nothing to help a sway whatsoever.

Mwilson scheduled bding can be so hard without some help from lube. Whilst the bd that resulted in conception of my daughter was a random, unplanned bd I think the fact I'd had a few glasses of wine and asked dh to give me a back massage (which I never do but was desperate for some muscle ache relief) helped me super relax so when things took a turn during the massage my body responded naturally and I was able to enjoy a normal bd for the first time in a long time. If you dont drink alcohol maybe try a warm bath together? Anything to help relax and let your body respond naturally will hopefully help.

ABC, I did track with OPKs but never got a positive over a 5 day span and just decided to take a break and stop POAS. I tend to over analyze/obsess so I’m not temping or anything. I have a feeling that it could be ovulation OR a heavy drop in progesterone. Ovulating late is definitely how we got 2 of my boys so that is not out of the realm of possibilities. This would be my first spotting this far outside of my projected AF. Thanks for responding!! I have never heard of ovulation spotting. That’s something for me to read up on!

Well ladies, my sister in law just announced to me that she's six weeks pregnant. Our sons are already six months a part (my son is two) and now she's pregnant prior to me. On top of it all, she wants a girl as badly as I do. I have a lot of mixed emotions as our husband's come from a family of three brothers and then three grandsons so the want within the family for a girl is real.

I'm happy for her, I really am. I just feel sad it's not me, I now have to potentially share this pregnancy journey with her (if I can ever get pregnant) and she's highly competitive with me as is (I still really don't know why, but that's a separate issue) and there's that underlying feeling of "what if she has a girl and I don't."

Sorry ladies, this may not be the appropriate forum to post on. I just needed to let someone besides my husband know I'm happy and sad all at the same time and it's a weird mix of emotions to have.

Eighme I totally would be feeling the same, my DH brothers wife (my sister in law) is trying too and we both have sons and she wants a girl too and none of the children on DH side have had a girl so I know the whole family are waiting especially my mother in law! I’ll be very jealous if she concieved first, it’s silly isn’t it?

Still no sign of o for me *sigh* :(

I tell myself that, I have the added advantage of actively swaying. So I’m praying we get our bfp this month!!!!!! Have all my pink dust ladies.

Agree always bd at first positive opk as you will likely o the following day. You may be minutes, hours off oing from your second pos opk or you may have oed and your lh levels haven't come down yet. Remember day of o attempts are not good timing for conception as sperm needs time (up to 12 hours) to capacitate in order to penetrate an egg [emoji4]

Sent from my SM-G955U using https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6d1f2cIt cuts odds off conception quite a lot. Avoid using it if possible. Non sperm safe lubes kill sperm. It's not 100% of course as they warn on the tubes that its not to be used as birth control so people do fall pregnant on it but to me that just shows how strongly it cuts conception odds (the fact it even considered a way to avoid getting pregnant)

I have been off and on using rephresh, maybe that’s why I haven’t gotten pregnant. But I used when trying to get pregnant last time and got pregnant with her the first try. That’s why I used it this baby. Our attempt last night was not using it so I had a better chance of conceiving. So even though I only used a small amount in earlier months, I didn’t take the chance last night.

So much can happen in such a short time. You could get a blazing pos out of the blue. You're on cd20 now and oed cd19 last cycle so hopefully it will happen for you in the next couple days. Focusing so much worry and stress won't be helping though and may even be contributing to the delay. Can I suggest maybe tomorrow to do whatever it takes to avoid thinking of ttc and ovulation etc. Go shopping or try recipe browsing online and find an awesome dinner meal to try (if you like cooking that is [emoji12]) go shopping for ingredients and an incredible bottle of wine. Have a delicious meal, enjoy several glasses and take a nice relaxing bath or shower. Bd protected if the mood takes you there. Try not and think too much prior to doing your opk. Expect it to be negative. I know all this is easier said than done but do your best. I promise things will be different within a few days xxoo

Mwilson so an hour and a half earlier than usual may or may not have made too much difference. In any case I wouldn't read much into it. Random temps can and do pop up [emoji4] An open circle will happen if you temp over half hour of usual time which is why the 5.45am temp would have been an open circle still. I'd just leave it as is. Regardless of when it was taken it still would've been a dip even with an adjustment. Look forward to tomorrows temp though! We'll see if you fall in the 'average' of oing day after first pos opk [emoji3]

All of the sudden, this toddler boy ran through the middle of the restaurant. I'm like yep... there's the difference between a lot of genders (not foolproof) but... So many of these little girls were so well behaved and so adorable.

I have a feeling my heart is never going to feel complete with parenting another boy. I have a feeling that I'm going to be a boy mom. I like boys, don't get me wrong. I'm just having a depressing day and thought you guys might be the only ones that understand.

Hannah hope it was ovulation!! Are you doing E4D?

Eighme - Totally get it. Shortly after our DS2 was born my SIL announced she was pregnant with her 2nd child (her first was a boy). I'm pretty sure after my DS2 was born I had PPD (never got diagnosed/treated), both due to pretty strong gender disappointment as well as DS2's traumatic birth. Well, she had a girl, and I had a REALLY hard time dealing with it for awhile. A lot of feelings of jealousy/resentment, which thankfully I was mostly able to hide from her, but the feelings were there. On the day that my miscarriage started this past August, she and my DH's brother called us up to tell us that they are pregnant with their 3rd. I was like, seriously?!!?! Their 3rd is a boy, so while it sounds perhaps weird/awful to say, I've been better able to "deal" with her being pregnant now knowing it's another boy. Crazy right? But I do get it. I will say though that over Christmas when we were all together for a week I was very much able to play and bond with her little girl and I didn't feel all those crazy feelings I felt when she was first born - so whatever happens I think you'll be able to work through all the feelings in time. But they are normal feelings for sure!!!

Girlswaylondon - hang in there, hope O comes soon!!

Star we don't use lube (as I usually have LOTS of EWCM!) but I've seen people on here swaying girl say they used a little bit (fingertip) of preseed.

Mwilson if you DTD last night maybe just stick with the every 72 hours plan from this point on, until you can confirm O with temping? That should keep you covered as far as viable attempts. I get the stress though - I always seem to O 48+hours after first +OPK.

GirlSwayHGMama - I know several "Boy Moms" - moms who whether they wanted it or not (and most of them didn't) have all boys and have resigned themselves to saying "well I'm just a boy mom I guess". Sigh - I feel like that's what I'm going to end up having to do too - and I just don't want that. I want to be a boy AND a girl mom... And I know stereotypes are just stereotypes and my DS1 is a TOTAL sensitive sweetheart and if I have a girl she may be a total tomboy, but I'm still so desperate to have a daughter. Just one! That's all I want!! :) :)

As for me - I'm getting a little freaked out. I'm CD12 - I normally get a +OPK by CD13 at the latest and I just feel like it's not going to come tomorrow!! What's really freaking me out though is that I normally have TONS of EWCM by like, CD11 or so and I have very, very little right now. Maybe b/c it's the 3rd cycle of Clomid (although I was off it for over a month due to the early m/c). It's just SO weird - I normally have so much and I feel so dry right now!! Also I'm on DAY 4 of "high fertility" on the dual OPKs. I've never had more than 4 days... So "peak" should come tomorrow, right? But where is my EWCM?!

On top of that - I'm desperate to be pregnant, and desperate to be pregnant with a little girl. Why is this SO DAMN HARD!!!!????!!!! Ok - vent over now :)

ABC, yes that’s the plan. We will see how it goes. While I am “swaying” girl, I would just like to be pregnant. I do have a boy and girl. My girl is considered special needs (diagnosed with a rare genetic condition abou 1.5years ago). She is non-verbal but does some words and some sign language. So while I have a girl, any “plans” that you have in your head about a girl are lost with a diagnosis. So I would love another girl for many reasons, of course not to replace her but many say after you get diagnosed you grieve the “loss” of child and I get that. So I had these visions of her just like I do my son and now our plans are different and earlier on it was super tough to lose those dreams. My son asks for a brother, he says he has a sister and would like a brother too. So that’s sweet but part still wants those plans I lost back. Sorry for the sad vent, it’s been a morning.

Ok - vent over now :)Thanks, ABC! We are all obviously here for a strong desire for one gender over the other. I could go on and on about why her having a girl would be particularly hard for me. I think it all just boils down to my feelings about and her competitiveness towards me.

I'm so thankful to have a forum of ladies who have similar problems, issues, just general thought about everything.

Thanks ABC, I want what i want. Trying to not be childish and totally millennial, but I know I am.
It's just emotions.

Sorry mwilson about grieving the loss of how you imagined her healthy life. I deal with that on a daily basis at work. I work in a NICU that has a large genetic population.

CD13..... blah blah blah... waiting for O.

Thanks. But thankfully she doesn’t have any medical issues, just speech and some learning delays. I couldn’t imagine having health scares on top :(

Ugh FF is screwing up and now scaring me. I have not ovulated. I have not had a positive opk. But it has marked me as ovulated three days ago and that would give me zero chance of conceiving. Ugh!!!!!!! Please FF be wrong!

Is it going off your temps? Could you missed the positive on cd 8?

Don’t worry HGmama, your temps last time went all the way to 98.1, so I think it’ll readjust once you o.

Is it going off your temps?Yep. My coverline is 97.0 and 97.3 the last two months so apparently FF is thinking my two 97.1s is post O temp.

Ladies - so I just got a negative on Clear Blue digital opk (regular kind) & got this on a Wondfo... the test line is still a tiny bit lighter than control so I guess it's a negative too? Does it look negative to you? EWCM started picking up this morning so I'm definitely getting there. I had a flashing smiley again too on the dual opk this morning (yes - I'm opk obsessed!!!) :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180121/19100a57b0ec65ee3ea5e6de4d16754a.jpg

Yes looks so close! Take another later in the day and see if it’s darker. If it were mine I’d call it positive. My tests arent gradual, either super faint or dark.

Yes mine too. This is positive for me and when i get it darker it is mostly my day of ovulation:)

Girlsway and mwilson - yea I am nervous that the Wondfo is a positive as when I've done manual opks in the past my lines never seemed to get quite as dark as the control. I went back several minutes later and it was as dark - but I guess that doesn't matter since it was way past the time limit, yea? But the digital was definitely a negative so I'm thinking I need to keep going on that. I didn't use Wondfos the few cycles before this one as they confuse me too much!!!

Anyways it's looking like I'm going to get a positive digital soon though so I'm thinking tomorrow will be the big BD day!

Good luck! I’m ready for some testing pics so fingers crossed for lots of bfp pics in the near future!

Do any of you ladies recommend the digital OPK's over the test strips? I'm not even bothering to start early testing this cycle because I feel like I missed ovulation entirely. I feel like I might have better luck with digital... the prices just make me raise my eyebrows
