This was the weirdest cycle I've had yet and I don't know if I should keep up with testing for ovulation, or switch to E4D

Ladies, I know there’s a whole thread on what blue swaying mums did/do. Just curious though, in terms of bd, any routine? Was bd liberal or did you focus on when you oed?
Btw,only see baby boys lately. Saw a mother to 3 boys today at the shopping till/counter and just smiled wondering if she was swaying without knowing. Is it the same for pink swayers? You only see baby girls and little girls everywhere?

Pbn3 what do u think add big O after attempt, it could help conception?It's said to help as the contractions help move the swimmers up faster but if its not possible then laying with elevated hips for half hour may help as well. I used to also flip over onto knees and elbows a couple times from this (so basically a laying down downward dog yoga position [emoji23]) just to be sure it all went up and little to none would come out afterwards [emoji6]

Girlswaylondon we don't know if its normal for your temp to drop pre or post af so hard to say, though I would say more than not do see a drop in temp whether a steady decline over a few days or a sudden drop day or two before. That's a good sign the spotting has stopped [emoji3] the waiting game continues [emoji102]

This sways the most pink as its the most 'hostile/hardest' way to try and fall pregnant. One unprotected attempt has low conception odds which is the whole idea behind it swaying pink. However if this doesn't work the first few cycles then its time to switch to e4d which still gives you one attempt in fertile window but also introduces sperm to the body on a semi regular basis so its not seeked out and destroyed so effeciently. That's my understanding anyway [emoji3] Also there's two versions of e4d as you're aware. There's eg. Cd6, cd10, cd14 etc or cd6, cd9, cd12 etc. I prefer the latter and used to call it e3d but dont anymore to avoid confusion. You could try the longer e4d first then the shorter (entirely up to you) and if you're still not conceiving move onto e4d (longer version) plus an extra attempt at pos opk (dtd the day after pos opk if it falls on an already scheduled e4d day). Yes this is two attempts by then but if its taking this long then its time to increase conception odds anyway most people will be well and truly over the le diet by then. My personal preference is the short version of e4d as to me it increases odds of conception whilst still realistically only one attempt. Not at all saying its the best to move onto just that it's my preference [emoji3] If you're ever on the fence I always recommend creating a thread to get atomics opinion. Let her know how long you've been trying and what you've done attempt wise to date and ask what she believes is best to try next.

Pbn3 lol, you’re the best! Wow you’re really good. I liked what you said about our body getting used to sperm. It makes sense, after bding protected for a while I guess the body perceives sperm as an invader. So maybe that explains why ttc may take a couple months.

We started with 1 attempt at pos opk, this past month we did cd 8, but then had an early positive opk on 10, another positive on 11 so we bd that day too just in case. We plan to do again tonight (cd15) to cover in case it was late. So it was 3 day and then 4 day between attempts. Hoping one catches this month since this is our 6th month ttc baby #3. First baby was in like 4 months, second was first month trying, and now this one is not going as easily and I had an chemical mc our first month trying which I've never had one before. So not sure what is going on with my body this go around. I'm swaying girl, but pretty sure my diet is out the window besides skipping breakfast and coffee/alcohol. Its low but with all the holidays ive eaten more food and for sure more sweets! So who knows what the gender will be if I ever get pregnant.

I'd keep testing in future up to cd17 at least with a 27 -29 day cycle unless of course you are 110% positive you've oed. Alternatively maybe try and stick to e4d next cycle (the every 72 hour version) from say cd7 or 8 through to cd17/18? Let us know how the opk goes and you never know todays attempt very well may count! Or if you have oed then your cd11 attempt is well timed.

Don't give up hope [emoji173] It will happen, and at the end of the day you have zero chance of a girl if you cant get pregnant. A relaxed LE diet is better than none at all. Hang in there!!

I cant help but wonder if you oed cd20 or not as if we were to remove cd18's temp (the one you had the sore throat on) then its possible you've hit post o temps. Without this mornings though (Sundays) its impossible to know as its quite common to o up to 48 hours after pos opk. Was cd19 a blaring pos or cd20's? I guess if you resume temping once you've got a new thermometer and you're feeling better we'll get an idea of where your post o temps usually sit around...

Used my son's thermometer and my temp appropriately spiked. That coupled with the pain, I'm sure I ovulated. I started puking yesterday evening. I think it was all the mucous upsetting my stomach. Thinking I'll test 9dpo to start getting a baseline. I'm going to get a 3 pack of FRER and hopefully do them 11, 12, 13 dpo....unless I see something starting on the wondos. Maybe I'll have the patience for the plan. Haha. I seriously wanted to start POAS. This 1WW of anxiousness and being sick has me having mixed feelings. Not looking forward to the hours with the toliet.

This upcoming weekend we have a funeral to attend. My uncle passed away in an accident, so that will be enough stress as it is. So need to keep it at 9dpo.

Hey ladies! Popping in to say. "Hi" and to see how you all are doing? I'm on CD6... and have 1 more dose of Clomid to do tomorrow... We are planning on BD E4D (72 hour version) .... my question to you all-- when should I start BD for this pattern? I finished AF 2 days ago so now I'm just in limbo until I start testing with my opks on about 4 days....

Last cycle (my first round of Clomid days 5-9) I had a positive OPK on CD13 and Ovulated on CD14. Without Clomid, I usually Ovulate early-- like CD9. I took my second dose (this current cycle) days 3-7.... do you think I'll O on CD14 again? If so, should I wait to start BD E4D starting tomorrow?

I know I'm probably looking into this way more than I should [emoji23]

Star hi! I would start e3d now as in today. I also wouldn't worry about opks unless you plan on adding an attempt as it will just stress you out if see a pos opk (that may or may not darken more) on a non scheduled day. Not doing opks takes away thay pressure of 'do I, don't I' You'll be charting right? So we'll be able to see when you o by temps. Up to you but I've seen it time and time again when people choose an every#days bd pattern only to come undone by an opk that has sometimes been then sometimes not been their pos opk. They have themselves in knots trying to decide whether to add an attempt or not and that kind of stress and obsessing is terrible for conceiving. Opks are great for blue swayers and pink swayers looking at doing one attempt at pos opk OR adding an attempt in with their e4d. If you're doing a e4d 72 version I would leave them out. Again though it's entirely up to you [emoji4]

I've still been exercising some so I have that, and coffee/alcohol, and soon Clomid again. But I'm feeling sort of defeated about the whole sway thing - this has been such a long and trying process up until now and still no baby girl growing inside me. :( Just feel like it can't happen for me. So whatever - we'll see what happens. I guess I'm more relaxed about things now - 9 months of swaying, 6 months of ttc, and 2 m/c will do that to you.

As far as me, I'm CD 3 but AF is super weird this go round. Heavy bleeding CD 1 and absolutely nothing since! I'm on another round of femara and feeling so worried as this may be the last dose my Dr will prescribe. I was swaying pink, but I just don't care anymore at this point. I just want a healthy baby. I'm ready to get back to to temping and I invested in digital opks and preseed! FX and baby dust to you all!

mtolbert yay good to hear from you! I was getting worried!! Sorry your tapatalk is messed up!! And sorry about the weird AF. The cycle in November I got pregnant on my AF was really weird - super light the first day, heavy the second day and then super super light again. The m/c I had in December was also really weird - spotting the first day, heavy bleeding for about 1/2 a day and then really light bleeding for a few more days. I told doc about it and he said it was probably b/c my hormone levels were so low. I'm thinking though that those meds (I'm on Clomid not femara, but still) can really mess with AF/bleeding. Hopefully that's why yours was off. Aren't you only on cycle 2 of Femara? Does your doc only allow 2 cycles on it? Have you tried Clomid yet - can your doc switch you to that if this cycle on Femara doesn't work?

Girlsway my cycles are normally 24 days.... The first month I was on Clomid (when we got a BFN) I think it was 25/26. Have no idea how long it will be this cycle since I'm just off a m/c but my temp this morning was definitely high so I think I probably did O already. I'm hoping AF comes this weekend or early next week. Yup - we'll definitely be ttc this month. Come on January bfps for both of us! (And all of us on here!)

This is my 3rd round of femara since my most recent m/c and she wants to monitor me on it this go round. That's the only way she'll continue to prescribe it. The problem is, insurance doesn't cover the monitoring and I'm not sure if I have to pay out of pocket up front or if they'll bill me. It is SO hard to reach my Dr so I don't have answers yet. I went back and forth with her staff today so maybe I'll have some answers tomorrow..

He said that pregnitude will help, and that he's also prescribing me metformin to be taking in conjunction with Clomid. He wants me to start that immediately, but I'm kinda hesitant and want to wait until next cycle since I'm close to O (ovulation) day. Anyone have experience with metformin?

I had blood work, an endometrial biopsy, and ultrasound done ... blood work had a few levels off, biopsy was good, and ultrasound found several bead-like cysts as well as a few follicles just staying put. Amongst this, and other things my doc said he was confident it was PCOS. He also told me that prior to my ultrasound, he was leaning towards it being PCOS but waited to confirm it with the ultrasound.

I went ahead and took the metformin.... My doc also told me that when Clomid and metformin are used together, they work extremely well-- and I've read on here that both sway pink! I'm currently on CD8, just took Clomid days 3-7.... now just waiting to O. :)

Pbn I've had that same view that no big parties until school age, although I guess we may break down and do a party for my oldest who turns 5 at the end of the month (which means I need to start planning like yesterday haha!). Anyone on here take metformin with Clomid? So I started it, and today I'm sooo bloated and gassy-- very uncomfortable. Is this normal? I'm on a low dose 500mg. I was unsure if the pressure was from O pains so I took an OPK and it was negative.

Filzma w/ my first boy, we BD'd the day before O and the night of O day, I think, and so might have only had 1 viable attempt. However everything else about my lifestyle was boy-friendly - ate TONS of breakfast cereal, lots of calories/nutrients, exercised sporadically, and had gained about 15 lbs in the months leading up to conception. Also, we used Pre Seed and I naturally make a lot of EWCM. W/ my 2nd I was still eating a lot/ no cereal/ no prenatals (folate, calcium and magnesium supplements only), and was carrying baby weight still from my first. With him we BD-d 5 or 6 days in a row through O day. So both times I had lots of boy-friendly elements to my lifestyle!

With my boy we had a fluke BD after what I thought was our fertile period. Maybe I O'd late. Strangely only one attempt. Our schedules didn't match up. BD was from behind. Chinese Lunar calendar wrong. I was doing a challenge group trying to lose weight and eating low calorie, but leading up to that month was over indulging on a Brazilian honeymoon so LOTS of red meat. But for the two previous weeks, drinking shakeology and eating very healthy. Working night shift so little good sleep. Wasn't drinking any alcohol during challenge. No soda. Eating lots of fruit.

Lots of meat, every dinner was meat based with a vegetable. Exercise if I felt like it (rarely). Snacking in excess and wasn't tracking anything. We BD'D a lot and I wasn't tracking anything to know when ovulation occurred.

Pbn I've had that same view that no big parties until school age, although I guess we may break down and do a party for my oldest who turns 5 at the end of the month (which means I need to start planning like yesterday haha!). Just a party at our home w/ family and a few of his school friends. Ugh the whole party planning for a kid thing just seems like so much work! :) :) That's awesome that you will have two kids close together!! January birthdays are fun too :) My son's birthday always gives me something to look forward to after all the excitement of the holidays is over.ABC, I am CD7!

Star clomid can definately cause falsely high temps but strangely enough last cycles look normal [emoji848] Are you doing anything different this cycle? Sleeping with extra bedding, clothing or with heating on? May just be your body reacting differently this time too... Keep at it and try not to read too much into it. It'll all work out eventually.

Looks like your surge is coming in normally regardless so hopefully not long till o time!!!

GirlswayHGmama 9dpo is far to early for an IC (and sometimes even for a super sensitive test) I'd use an frer either 10 or 11dpo for a more accurate idea. Fx!!!!

Both? Simpler terms, I did day 1, 4, 8. So two days between the first two and then 3 days between second and last. I also posted about delayed ovulation bc I had some what I thought were ovulation days after I had my positive opk when I usually have them the next day or following after the positive. Odds seem against me for being delayed but I hold on to any hope I have until af arrives.

GirlswayHGmama I just checked your chart and look at that dip near to coverline on 8dpo!! 'If' that's a possible implantation dip then you wouldn't see a faint line until 10/11dpo on an frer and longer for an IC. So your bfn at 9dpo truly means nothing xo

1. Instead of taking it cd5-9 again, I took it cd3-7.
2. Taking pregnitude
3. Taking metformin
4. Taking extra folic acid
5. Drinking more coffee throughout the day
6. Skipping breakfast
7. DTD E4D (72 hours)

Other than that stuff, everything else is the same. We haven't changed the temp in our house, we sleep nude (lol), I'm still using my tempdrop and inputting the results at the same time daily.

Filzma that's completely normal and nothing wrong with the tester. It's simply that your estrogen and lh levels haven't picked up enough increase for it to change to a flashing smiley just yet [emoji4]

Noemi how are you feeling? I really think it's time to introduce e4d (72 hour version) as just one attempt at pos opk is not working for you [emoji17] (you've been ttc 5 cycles is it?). E4d is going to up your odds of conception and still realistically only going to be one attempt that counts come o time, however the regular bding should help make your body more receptible to conceiving. Is it something you'll consider? You've been doing the le diet since April so I truly believe its time to up the anti. What are your thoughts?

Brown blood is old blood, I know its hard to not stress but implantation has only occured in the last couple days so abit of brown cm isn't anything to worry about [emoji173] Just focus on getting past when af would have been due. Have you got more than one frer for testing with over the next few days?

well first yay for a definite line!!

I feel ya girl. I feel like we are living the same ride. But don't lose hope. Stay positive! I know easier said than done. I know when I do get a positive, not sure I will tell husband or even call my doctor for an appt until after 6 weeks to make sure it sticks. It wasn't fun cancelling the appt. Fingers crossed it continues to get darker and darker! Mine back in aug didn't so that was my biggest sign.

I won't be telling anyone for a while either, except you lovely ladies! Mine in August got darker for one day then the spotting increased and the tests got lighter. I am going to try not to stress but I think it will be tricky!

I didn't get a line until day I missed my period and I had tested two days before too. I never had a mc before so I didn't think anything of a "late positive". Now I'm scared to get a late one. And of course this cycle I am not too certain of when I o'd bc I had late o pains. I really should temp. So I could be anywhere from 9-12. Forgot to test this morning (may try later) but up until now negative. We've been the same each month, so I should totally get a positive too, right!! haha.:D

Yes you totally should!!! Fingers crossed so much for you. I was the same with my loss, I got the bfp on 14 dpo which was really late for me especially as my lp is usually 11 days or so. I also had never had a miscarriage. We have had similar stories haven't we? Definitely try later and let us know how you get on [emoji4]

Mummy! That’s definitely positive! Congrats! I had blood a little bit a week after I got my positive the night before my first ultrasound. I thought for sure I was miscarriaging. Only one that knew about it was my mom. Then I went to the dr for my first scan and all that was there was a sac. I was convinced same outcome as the last time. My baby is just fine, and I’ve not had bleeding since that night. I believe it was the devils doing to try to keep me from testifying, but I. Testified anyways as my beta numbers kept going up.

Yes I tested again this morning and it was a tiny bit darker, the spotting seems to have stopped for now but I'm still not feeling confident about it.

Thanks Mommy, unfortunately we can't get those tests on the NHS here so would have to go private. I will test again tomorrow and see how things are looking. Last time my tests only got darker for one day and then went very faint so I guess I'll have a better idea tomorrow [emoji106]
