Thanks pbn! Temp low again this morning. Will try around 3pm, the 10.30/11 one seems to be the one I get a slight sign. Flashing smiley this morning.
What I’m finding difficult is as hubby is doing frequent release I’ve told him to wait til I tell him now (trying to not face him do it the days before or at least of attempt) but now we’ve missed yesterday thinking this could be it tomorrow in trying to predict. Think I’ll get him to release again tonight!? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180311/f1f863c46017a97521b134fee9e562d2.jpg

Star just want to add that your urine may have simply been more diluted this morning. I had a pregnancy that had a faint but for sure line at 10dpo but the next mornings test (11dpo) was stark. I did a 2 hour hold later that same morning and got an obvious line [emoji4] Look forward to your next test!!

Oh and some people get a better result using SMU. Mommy2apples is a prime example!

CD17 but using first round of clomid this time that’s why I feel more uncertain of timing.
Update since an hour ago & sorry for tmi, but massive string of EW! Plus feeling a bit bloated this morning.

Attached last cycles chart. Pbn how long do you hold for before opk. I seriously struggle I pee a lot, especially around this time of month for some reason, cannot stop thinking about peeing 🤪

Emshe I think 1.5 - 2 hour hold is ample but you really need to limit your fluids for maybe 3 hours prior to testing?

Also why not have dh release the morning of solid smiley and have your attempt that night? I would drop this next cycle though if this cycle is a bfn...

Maybe!? Thats why I am trying to work out when to tell him no more, he didn't do it yesterday or this morning as far as I know... I really dont want to limit my chances of conception. Im doing lots of things that sway so I don't want to do too much and knock ourselves out of the game.

Ah ok. Well maybe have him release today then in that case. Then he'll have a fresh batch for your attempt which likely will be cd16 (that's my prediction [emoji6]) or possibly even tomorrow.... I misunderstood previously and thought you wanted to use fr as a sway tactic. Totally agree you're already doing enough and would have dh only release every 2-3 for sperm health.

Star, I think I see something in that bottom one!

So my chart is still looking good but I just went to the bathroom and have spotting. Cd27 and I typically have a 31 day cycle. But I’m on clomid this cycle. So if tomorrow is CD1 and I’m out for March, should I try Clomid one more time. It would be our last cycle ttc forever. I’m kinda getting misty eyed now.
Anyone have an earlier AF on clomid? Is this something I should be expecting?

Hi. I am at CD15 and hope for positive in the next few days because work travel would prevent attempts on CD19 20 and 21. I don't think we'll have time for an attempt Thursday morning but I plan to have an attempt as late as possible Wednesday night (cd18) if I haven't got a positive opk yet. Then we could try again Sunday night (cd22). I am running that by Atomic in my private forum.
I can probably keep tracking opk while away.
I just haven't been able to track temps at all, but maybe I will start this week and certainly could start next month.
Does anyone know if it matters if I take folate with food rather than on empty stomach?
Sending good wishes to all.

Sent from my SM-G930U using TapatalkGood luck, Gafan!! I'm praying this month is your month!!

If it's been hard to temp, look into tempdrop. It's a wearable BBT like the ava bracelet. I had a hard time waking up early every morning to take my BBT with a thermometer after being up all night with my youngest. I still don't sleep well (thank you Clomid). With tempdrop you wear it all night and then sync it to your phone in the morning and walla! The algorithm picks up your sleeping patterns and monitors your temp all night in order to figure up your bbt. It's so easy! If you'd like a referral link to get $10 off let me know. My friend is the one who told me about it and it has made my temping life easier by all means. :)

Anyways I'm praying you get your BFP this month!! Xoxo check fb, I'd love to keep in touch! :)

Clomid can bring ovulation forward so yes it can shorten your cycle. It usually lengthens your lp though so it should remain about the same. It may take a couple cycles before this happens though. Yes I would definately take the clomid for your last cycle! And I would do SMEP for sure!!!!! Just to let you know, clomid will still be in your system the cycle following next just in case you have a NTNP cycle [emoji6] Can you post a link to your chart?

What is SMEP?

Pbn3
March 12th, 2018, 02:18 AM
Kikurose SMEP is Sperm Meets Egg Plan. It's a bding pattern that is designed to maximise odds of conception and is often recommended for older couples and those who have experienced loss/es.

If you are interested it involves dtd eod (every 48 hours) from cd8 through to pos opk. Bd day of pos opk plus the following two days after pos opk, skip a day then bd again. You could also try e4d (every 72 hours) until pos opk if that's more realistic or if you generally o on the later side. Either that or start the eod bding later than cd8.

**** Just to be a real pain but so we can all easily come back to this post and the following posts after ****

Can everyone (and anyone new) write what the plan is this cycle? Swaying pink or blue, doing e4d or one attempt at pos opk or both, doing multiple attempts at pos opk, eod etc etc When you expect to o approx (strawberrybella I'll remember yours as above [emoji6])
Also if you are charting can you post a link to your chart? If your happy to share the link here is how to do it:
In the app press on the menu icon top rh corner, select share chart and data, create/preview homepage. Press on the web address/link and it will open a page inyour phone browser. Copy the web address and paste into a comment here. If you are using Tapatalk you can add it to your signature by going into your profile [emoji3]

Sent from my SM-G900I using TapatalkAfter starting this month with a bfp but unfortunately miscarrying I feel now ready for this next cycle and I'll finally answer your questions now pbn [emoji4]

I'm CD7 today and this is my first cycle on femara (only for swaying). So I don't really know what to expect. I normally o around CD13. Hubby is still sort of ntnp, but I have the feeling he's a bit more into ttc after the miscarriage. I would like to go for one attempt at pos opk, but I don't know yet if I will risk it with hubby not fully on board and also not knowing if opks work for me on femara. So maybe I'll try to make one attempt after taking the last dose (that's what atomic suggested) and then see what happens opk-wise.

Crossing my fingers for many bfps for us this month!

After starting this month with a bfp but unfortunately miscarrying I feel now ready for this next cycle and I'll finally answer your questions now pbn [emoji4]

Last month this depth went to positive 4 hours later. Cb still flashy fmu this morning. Yikes! Tonight bd or tomorrow if this turns positive. I will do again at 3. I’m scared I might ovulate sooner after surge because of clomid? What’s the best idea? He released last night too, thinking we’d have a bit more time

Hold your horses emshe [emoji12] let's see how the 3pm one looks first! Then you can retest with your digi if it looks pos to see if it turns solid. I'm not convinced then clomid will make your surge shorter but if your nervous about it why not opt for a morning bd if its possible? Maybe make a decision after seeing this afternoons opk...

Definitely will! Was thinking morning. hubby is a commuter so only around from around 9pm til 6am. Early morning shenanigans, I did sneakily suggest he start feeling sick today whilst in the office...

Now to jump & dump after 5 minutes

Oh no Star a migraine would be the worst [emoji22] Are you ok now? Has it passed?

And then to see nothing in the tests would be like a double whammy [emoji22] I'm sorry Star and honestly I think if that line indicated the beginnings of a pregnancy its not looking good. I would be thinking this cycle might be a chemical...

If there's a positive about this cycle it's the fact you did ovulate and it looked as though fertilisation did occur only it may have failed to implant properly (usually this means the body recognised an issue and didn't allow the pregnancy to progress). Hopefully being monitored next cycle will be the tipping point and you'll concieve your sticky bean [emoji173]

Emshe I just don't think your surge has peaked that's all. Hang in there! I know it's so frustrating when you're waiting and waiting..... I'll stand by my original prediction and say you'll likely have a pos tomorrow or the following day. It sucks but try and put it out of mind. If you stress and obsess on it you may end up with a delayed o. The brain can do all sorts of weird and wonderful (not) things when under stress. Hope you see a significant shift in tomorrows tests. A solid smiley would be a nice start to the day [emoji6] Again, hang in there [emoji173] you are soooo close, just a little further to go...

Thanks pbn, I agree. I would have expected my tests to get darker.... and for today I didn't test bc my temps are starting to descend. As hopeful as I was esp bc I actually ovulated this month (even late) after not ovulating for 2 months, I'm OK with AF coming... at least I won't be in limbo anymore and I can get the testing I need to as well as being monitored this next cycle. The part that stinks about it, is that I will be taking a break from all meds until my testing is done (so no Clomid this next cycle) and then the following month my hubby will be away the entire month for annual training for the Army. Maybe we will get lucky next cycle trying naturally again haha but that also scares me with my sway esp bc Clomid helps to sway girl!

Except this morning, I got a very faint positive. And then tonight I’m bleeding! Miscarriage in October, Christmas and now this! This was also my first cycle on femara. Bummer deluxe! Am I too old for this? Is that why more miscarriages?

I'm sorry to hear of your losses and suspected chemical [emoji22] I went through three losses in 12 months prior to getting my sticky bean (had my baby in January) and I'm knocking on the door of 40 so yes I do believe age can make a difference when it comes to multiple losses. Hi Verena - I don't know actually, not sure if we will try again or not. I've become very depressed since the D&C last Friday (I wrote that post on here last night stone cold drunk - barely remember posting it). I'm not handling anything well and I don't know if I can take any more loss. I have an appointment with a RE this coming Monday - it wasn't supposed to be until mid-April but they bumped it up due to a cancellation. So I'll go and see what she says - but I'm feeling that this just isn't meant to be. My heart is pretty broken right now.

I hope you are doing well - I know you had disappointment last cycle too and I hope things go better this time. I do really hope everything works out for all of you on here and that you all get your BFPs, healthy babes and desired genders!

I am so sorry you are going through this heartache ABC. Sending you strength, it can be a very difficult journey we travel trying to conceive & follow our dreams. I hope you ge some answers on Monday and the path ahead becomes clearer. Be kind to yourself it is such a difficult time you’re going through

Huge hugs Abc xo It's all still raw and will continue to be for quite awhile. I used to struggle big time with being pregnant one minute and not pregnant the next. Its not just the pregnancy you've lost but all the dreams and plans that went with it [emoji22] My drinking got out of control after my second loss but there were other things that happened at the time that compounded my grief. I ended up on anti depressants and to this day still take a half dose as I'm terrified of ever feeling that way again. Not at all saying this will happen to you but just want you to keep an eye on those depressed feelings and thoughts. The best thing you can do is keep talking, don't turn inwards [emoji173]

Got our attempt in! Think hubby thought it was easier tonight than rushing before leaving for work in the morning.

Oh my goodness, can’t believe we’ve just done that

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So ff puts ov at day of attempt (Tuesday night with +ve opk appearing then) but it definitely wasn’t. Had bad pressure pain the following night and even into Thursday morning. I still feel a bit weird, gassy, & saw some small amounts ew again yesterday to be honest. Temping has been a bit unreliable too as I’ve been waking at 1,3,5. This mornings at 5, which is slightly dipped is the first sleep through I’ve had...

Thinking we should follow up with BD attempt tonight, in e4d pattern, is that wise?

Ok I'm definately not sure if you've oed or not. Hard to say whether you temp creeps then jumps or whether the spike is when o has happened. I'm leaning towards the latter...... from memory that solid smiley was at night right? So if testing with just fmu it would've been positive cd16 rather than cd15. If your body follows suit then we should see a sharp rise tomorrow morning, 2 days after pos opk which is totally normal. If that does happen then at least you'll have an idea how your cycle works and if this cycle is a bfn (really really hoping its not) then maybe stick to opk testing just with fmu digis and one dip test in the afternoon/evening.. try and relax things abit around that time in your cycle [emoji4] In any case we'll hopefully have more of an idea what's going once we have tomorrows temp.

I actually just looked at the temp I wrote down for Wednesday morning, I took it at 3am which read 35.94.
Then at 5 it was 36.23.
The 3am maybe more accurate because sleep would have been longer...
I don’t know clutching at straws, but then temp rise would seem more dramatic!?!

I'm so sorry that you are having such a hard time. I can only imagine how terrible it has to be to have a later miscarriage as mine came only some days after AF was due. But I already had real problems with functioning in everyday life. The worst part was that I couldn't hide being sad from my DSs and they didn't know what's going on at all. The only thing that helps me a bit is starting again directly. I'm not an esoteric person at all but I promised that little bean that I will try my best so that it can come back to us eventually.

But I know everyone is different and I can imagine that there can be a point where it's better to stop trying (at least for a while) because everything else would be too self distructing. I'm glad anyway that your appointment is on monday already. Hopefully they find something that can be fixed easily so that they can take you at least a part of the fear of trying again. I would really like to see you here in the tww with us again soon [emoji4][emoji173]️

Thank you, Pbn, emshe, Verena - I've tried this past week to stay away from this website because I think it will cause me more pain but then I realize you ladies are about the only ones in my life who can actually understand my pain - through your own experiences with loss, gender disappointment, etc. In real life, I feel completely alone - no one close to me has any clue what I'm going through. I've felt a little better the past day and a half but still have a lot of moments during the day where I become horribly sad. I'm dealing with it in some healthy, some unhealthy ways. I really have low expectations for my appointment on Monday. I feel like this is all happening b/c of underlying autoimmune issues I have (which I had before I conceived my two boys - but maybe the issues are worse now, I don't know). Anyways - will try to follow and keep up with this board again. I've watched SO many ladies here on the TWW board go on to conceive their rainbow babies - often the gender they desire as well. It makes me happy, and to some extent gives me hope for my own situation. I think I fear that I will just be the only one forever destined to be on the TWW and never to have a rainbow baby. Yea, I'm throwing myself lots of internal pity parties lately :)

FX for all of you - emshe, looks like you're now in the TWW.. GL!!!! :) :) Verena - You will get that little bean back. Pbn, hearing about your little Mara being born is still one of my happiest moments of my year so far!

Abc I think its that feeling of feeling so alone in the real world that makes it sooo hard. I would have good days and bad days. The bad days slowly got less and less but only after I'd hit rock bottom. I'm so glad my journey has given you hope and I know, with 100% certainty, that your journey can end the same way [emoji173] I do remember feeling very lost in those few weeks immediately after my losses so I say get through each day however you can and do whatever makes you feel better, whether its good for you or not. Thank you ABC, that brought a little tear into my eyes reading that I will get my little bean back [emoji4] I don't know much about autoimmune disorders, but even if this is the reason for your losses (what I don't necessarily think because the risk of having a misscarriage is so high for everyone and sometimes bad luck just adds up unfortunately) wouldn't there be a medication against it? I'm crossing my fingers so much that your appointment will give you some hope back!

I had a follicle check yesterday and my doc saw a 20 mm follicle. He said that I would o the same day or the next in the latest case. So we attempted yesterday but my opk is still sooo negative today that I can't imagine it will turn positive before tomorrow. I'm really afraid that we bd'ed too early... But if that follicle keeps growing and growing, won't it get too big??

After 3 losses had DD 2018 [emoji178]You're right, I didn't think about it that way... Yesterday my opks were negative for sure and I think I also tested on cd10 as well without detecting a surge. Verena - When I had a follicle ultrasound in November (I was on Clomid), I had 2 follicles - 25 mm and 27 mm!! But even then the doc didn't think I had ovulated yet based on the u/s. We BD-ed immediately after the u/s and I think I O'd a day or two after the ultrasound, and got pregnant that cycle (2nd m/c). So I'd say that your 20 mm follicle could def keep growing larger if you haven't O'd yet! You're on Femara, I think? Do you know the typical time frame you're supposed to O after finishing Femara? I know with Clomid they say it's 7-10 days after the last pill. Would seem strange that you would O so soon after finishing the Femara. But you just had that early m/c, which could be throwing everything off too. If you're up for it I think BD-ing again 72 hours after that last attempt would help make sure you do have a good attempt in if you still don't O for a few days. As for your question about me, if it is my autoimmune issue it could be that it has been "flaring up" lately without me knowing it. I wonder if there is a higher level of inflammation in my body right now. My doc doesn't really think it's the issue but I think the RE will take it more seriously. They could probably try a few medications to suppress my immune system which may help but I really don't know. My doc, like you said, still sort of thinks it's a lot of bad luck. Although he and the doctor who did my D&C really think now that it may be that I need baby aspirin/a blood thinner - they think I could just need a bit "thinner blood" for better flood flow to the placenta.... something like that.

Mummy - I had hot flashes during the TWW this last time around. My BBTs were higher, I felt hot all the time, a little feverish, etc. I found out after getting BFP that my progesterone was 33 so I know that's why I had those symptoms. SO - hopefully it means you're hormone levels are high because you are pregnant!!! I would definitely see it as a good sign. Where is your chart? Thank you for your kind words - I remember my heart dropping when I found out about your last m/c... You and I have both gone through so much and it's so unfair. I really hope this is your cycle and your little rainbow.

Thank you Pbn3! I'm still a bit shocked tbh (I haven't told my husband) as now worrying it might turn out to be a chemical as it's still quite early to test from reading on the internet. I only have cheapies for tomorrow but I will do one first thing before work! Then will get slightly better ones for Monday. I don't want to get his hopes up until that line is nice and dark! It's odd because this evening I've been having some uncomfortable muscle pains all across my lower abdo I wonder if that's things starting to get ready to house this little bean!?
I would have never have tested at all yet so thank you for making me think about it! I'm nervously excited! X

Hi Abc, I'm so sorry you're going through this. I completely get how you are feeling right now, it can be a dark, lonely place. It really does feel like you are alone but you're not. Fwiw I think you're likely 2dpo with a possibility of being 4dpo (*maybe a slow shift with fallback rise?*) I'm more inclined to believe you are 2dpo though especially when looking at last cycles chart. When you get a chance in a few more days once you have a couple more higher side temps, maybe have a play around and change your chart interpretation settings to see if ff moves your crosshairs (if it doesn't automatically that is)

Wow, thanks for sharing ABC! I'm so annoyed about my doc. He really made me panick that we would miss the egg. I hope that the smaller follicles that we saw in the u/s don't get big enough to release an egg as well. My doc didn't measure them as he said they were too small because ovulation would be so soon. He told me he had one case of triplets on clomid and now I can imagine how this could happen despite him monitoring everyone who is stimulating ovulation [emoji33] DH would hand in divorce immediately if we got twins [emoji33] I think normally you o 5-10 days after the last dose of femara. So already from that my doc should have known I would probably not o on CD11...

I really hope they find some evidence what could have gone wrong with your m/cs and don't just give you a blood thinner to see what happens Please keep us posted how your appointment goes!

Verena - When I had a follicle ultrasound in November (I was on Clomid), I had 2 follicles - 25 mm and 27 mm!! But even then the doc didn't think I had ovulated yet based on the u/s. Morning ladies, I did a quick test this am but only had internet cheapies and it doesn't show very well in photo. I THINK it's slightly darker but only slightly. I'm cramping a fair bit feel like AF is coming so I'm a bit anxious about that. On wiping I have a fair amount of CM fairly clear with a streak of brown. I'm feeling 'full' on my abdo and like muscle strain too.
I really want to test on a proper one but I'm stuck at work until 20.30 tonight, it's Sunday and it's snowed so I might be stuck here too. I will have to wait, annoyingly!! I am feeling a bit sick but wonder if that's in my head!

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkI do go easier on coffee and exercise and don't drink alcohol at all. I found some studies saying getting pregnant will be more difficult if a certain daily amount of coffein is exceeded, I think it was 200 or 300 mg. So I try to stay under 200 mg in the tww and therefor I mix my coffee powder with decaf coffee powder and drink my normal 3 or 4 cups.

With exercise I do it like you did, I decrease intensity. Normally I walk on a treadmill at 5 km/h and in the tww, especially around possible implantation, I reduce to 4.5 km/h. Don't know if this has any effect but it makes me feel less guilty [emoji6]

But I know many others just do what they always do [emoji4]

Pbn3 well I managed to get home through the snow and I tested again on a cheapie again too light to photograph! I can get a test tomorrow hopefully but it won't be morning urine. My period is actually due Thursday/Friday roughly! I just don't remember being so crampy with my previous pregnancy. Hopefully it is all good signs!
Verena those opk's are awesome! Fxfor you x

Verena - Maybe you've already said this but from past cycles do you know typically how many days after +OPK you see a temp rise? If you don't see the rise tomorrow morning would you throw in an attempt tomorrow night? The thing is if you do O tomorrow, a PM attempt tomorrow evening would likely be way too late so you'd have to hope for sperm left from the first attempt to catch the egg, but if for some reason you don't O tomorrow, that attempt from a few days really would end up being too early, so getting an attempt in tomorrow night would give you another shot if you O the day after. I think 72 hours between attempts is pretty good - from what I've read most sperm don't live longer than that anyways.

emshe - FX your chart looks good so far!

Girl Dreaming hope you get stronger lines tomorrow!

emshe - yea I'm doing OK thank you :) Feel like each day gets a tiny bit easier. Took my last FRER today though, thinking it would be negative or almost negative and yet the test line was still as dark as the control :( So that freaked me out. Talked to Pbn about it and I think I'm going to call my doctor tomorrow and just ask about it and see if they want to run blood work to make sure my hcg keeps going down. I also have my first RE appt tomorrow, so I'll ask her about it. I'm really really nervous though about the appt - not sure why. I guess bc I think they're gong to find something really wrong.

For now, wine is my good friend again :) I've started back on LE PCOS - which I hate but in some ways it feels nice to be eating healthier again. After this last bfp my diet went so downhill - started eating so much and not healthy foods. Of course that's one of several things I've blamed myself for in thinking I somehow caused the m/c. Even though that's likely not it. The blame I've put on myself this time has made recovering a lot harder.

But I don't know what our future holds at this point. Just trying to survive right now, and it's helping to follow all of you ladies again on your ttc journeys. :) :)

Verena I second what Abc suggests about bding again cd14. But if you're happy with just one attempt for a couple cycles then maybe next cycle hold off until pos opk for your first attempt regardless of docs recommendation to bd. You must be really annoyed with him! Anyway at least now you know you do in fact get a pos opk and now the wait to see how soon after pos opk you o. If this cycle does result in a bfn then you'll be able to go into next cycle with confidence in your body [emoji109]

That’s confusing ABC, blood test is a good idea. You shouldn’t blame yourself, and believe me I know it’s easier said than done, I questioned everything I did. It sucks, it’s unfair, & it’s brutal. I really am so sorry you’re going through it.

Hey! Wine is awesome for your sway, win win [emoji12] little steps will ease you back into it. Throwing myself into the exercise tended to help with my mindset.

I’m glad each day is getting easier, and I really hope your appointment goes well.

Do you keep BDing after you’re pretty sure you ovulated?

In other words should we BD again tonight?

Emshe I think its up to you... if you continue bding then it allows your body to become more receptive to the sperm invaders (lol) so when you do have your one attempt you may have a better chance of your body playing a less intense game of seek and destroy.... I always recommend regular bding after o for this reason...

Thank you for your thoughts ABC and pbn! I normally o the day after pos opk, I guess 36 hours has been pretty true for me. But my temp jumped really up this morning??? So I really don't know what's going on this month. Maybe femara somehow shortened those 36 hours?

The problem with bd'ing is that dh still has a pretty bad men flue. I don't think it will work out this evening. Actually I'm lucky that my doc made us bd on friday because afterwards dh was too sick to bd.

ABC I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. The line on the test would have freaked me out as well. I hope it will resolve itself quickly. And I'm sure they won't find something really bad at your appointment because you have too healthy DS. But I would probably be just the same... I'm thinking of you and keeping everything crossed for both the beta and your appointment!

After 3 losses had DD 2018 [emoji178]I had quite a restless night though. I didn't properly fall asleep until 1 am and took the temp at 5 am, which is early for me. So maybe the temp is so high because I only slept 4 hours? I fell asleep again after taking the temp and at my normal temping time at 6:30 am it was even 0.3 degree higher. If tomorrow's temp is high as well would you say I ovulated yesterday (CD13) then?

Hey girls! I was off of here for a few days while my boys got over another stomach virus... I did my deep spring cleaning so I was pretty occupied and not on my phone. I started AF Thursday afternoon and called into my RE office. Bc it was already 3pm, they said that they call CD1 the next day. So according to them I'm on CD4 and today is bloodwork day! It's 4:30am here in PA, and I'm getting ready to head to the city to get bloodwork and and ultrasound done (checking the cyst and egg reserve). Eeekkk!! Hope all of you are doing well and I will hopefully get caught up on all the missed posts this afternoon sometime.

After 3 losses had DD 2018 [emoji178]Would it matter if the bding is spaced 4 days apart after the one attempt, in case the ovulation didn't happen and then happens later? We are aiming for one attempt at positive opk. So unprotected sex 4 days later shouldn't affect anything with the one attempt sway . And after that could it be every two days or should it be every four days intercourse? We are on the DH release every other day plan.
