I am just getting a bit frustrated as it is Cycle 8 now and so I thought we’d just start bd-ing more. As atomic says, if you can’t get pregnant at all, it’s all for nothing! So I thought I’d give it a whirl! We’ll bd tonight and then not do any more attempts for another 72 hours. 4th night in a row now! x

10dpo and I got a BFN... I won't test again unless AF doesn't show up. And if she does show up we won't be ttc next cycle as May is a busy month. Not sure what to think of my temp as it's my first cycle charting properly and don't really know how it compares.

Thunderstruck you're still well above coverline so still have every chance. As harrd as it is, try and remember it's completely normal for implantation to occur between 6-10dpo so if it only started yesterday or even today there wont be a faint line for another day or three. I think atomic has been saying there hasn’t been much difference between one & two attempts pink wise lately. Obviously one is pinker but it depends how quick you want to conceive I guess

I had to take a similar, riskier decision today... went in for monitoring and doc saw two large follicles (19 and 21mm)
I have three kids already. 5 would be so much for us. (We can stand it economically, but not much mentally) After a lot of thinking, we decided the correct decision was to wait another month when I had only one follicle.

Some hugs and 10 minutes later, we were making love [emoji33][emoji33][emoji33][emoji33] one of the best, most enjoyable, relaxed attempt ever.

Of course I had big O.

Happymommy wow! Why a lovely story that is and will be when ([emoji6]) you get your bfp! And I've oed more than one egg before and neither was fertilised so its no guarantee of conception let alone twins [emoji4] think of it as doubling your chances of conception and don't sweat on the possibility of both being fertilised unless that actually happens...

I had a temp rise this morning - morning after blazing pos opk so it seems like for me pos opk day is o day so it might explain why one attempt wasn’t working that well for me months ago. I would love to be pregnant this month but if not I would just be happy if my luteal phase gets up to 10 days.

Emshe - how has yours been as I know you had the same issue? Hoping the atomic fertility diet pays off. Plus raspberry leaf tea and a small dose of MegaMag fem balance.

Will start a mega dose of progesterone cream tomorrow - don’t think I used enough last cycle.

Thanks emshe and jgojah - how long did it take for you to see a difference? Was yours 8/9 days long too? I was a bit disappointed this month as I did change my diet a couple of months ago to add in salmon / eggs / a serving of full fat diary but I only had an 8 day luteal last month. I am thinking it might have been the vitex throwing things off. How long are your luteals now? If I take a mega dose of progesterone cream daily too surely that will get me over the 10 day mark? Once I have that going for me I think i’ll be less anxious about everything. I haven’t been eating white meat every day - probably about 4 times a week but have been having almonds and Brazil nuts daily and getting protein from other sources like natural yoghurt.

Pbn3 - I don’t chart all the time - only around ovulation to confirm it has happened and I don’t log it anywhere apart from my natural cycles app. I find daily charting makes me too anxious. I have a whole raft of anxiety issues due to finding out 2 years ago that I have low AMH for my age. I have since found out that the test is bollocks in terms of determining natural fertility but it has hit me psychologically and the scares are still there. I am thinking much more probably positively lately though. I have just turned 35 last month.

No way happy! If it were that easy to prevent pregnancy after DTD there would be no need for BC ;) FX FX FX that this is your month! Jump and dump sways girl according to atomic, but it doesn't get rid of all the swimmers, plus you lay there for 2-3 minutes, it wasn't even immediate.

I think it’s partly that, because once I wake up I’m thinking I need to get back to sleep to get three hours before taking temp so makes it difficult to get back to sleep.

But what’s weird is I have noticed a link between crappy sleep and not having as much coffee. Contradictory I know! But I have gone to mainly decaf with a tiny sprinkle of real stuff & only had 2 yesterday because of tww

I think they usually do come gradually, but Im no expert on this! I would test at least 2 a day and lower fluid intake..

With all 4 pregnancies I had betas for (this one & the 3 m/cs), I started them at 14 or 15 dpo - so I was 4 weeks pregnant. No real reason for that but I guess I’d say maybe give your body at least a few more days to build up hcg. If you do it too early and get a low number (bc of it being so early), it may just stress you out. But given your frer progression the past couple of days it looks like your hcg is going up nicely!!!

Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkKikurose yes a pos can come quickly but usually you get at least a dark'ish line first. If you're using cheapies I'd test twice between 1-3pm and 7-9pm. Otherwise just test once daily between 1-3pm until you get the dark'ish line then start testing at night as well.

Just got a call from my OB. I didn't know they did testing but they did. Apparently it was something wrong with chromosome 16. Got me a bit down reminding me of the loss, but I suppose it's nice to know it wasn't anything I did, rather something was wrong.

I went and wrote down alllll the temps from my period tracker, ( thank goodness for double entries) annndddd now FF is telling me I ovulated on day 14 🤬🤬
I have checked and double checked just because my chart was driving me insane!
So maybe it is AF cramps?

I know I’m so sorry! I think I had put some in incorrectly [emoji24]
When I temp in the morning I write in my period checker app, and then transfer it over to FF , my other app says I’ve ovulated , so I wanted to see what was happening. There were only 2 or 3 that were out.

I would have an attempt. The odds are that you already ovulated anyway and this way you'll be covered if O was delayed. Going from Mon to Thurs is e4d.

BUT, you're right in that it could possibly be O Day. I of course don't believe in timing at all but you have to follow your gut instinct on that.

I did have EWCM yesterday just like any other ovulation day.
But I just had to confuse things and keep on testing [emoji849]

Ill stay with that attempt I think. Next month I won’t do cut offs.. im starting to hate them.

-bd 2.5-3 days before O approx..
-J&D
- very little CM

But positive points:
-Femara
-doc said there was a very healthy, dominant and big follicle this cycle
- DH had a high sperm count
- had female O
-no more Rephresh!

Let the 2WW begin.....

When I take out the +OPk it gives me dotted crosshairs when I put it back in, it takes it out.
I think because I was really sick that week, & I was taking cold and flu tablets, may have dried up CM? I had also put it in illness in FF, so when I stripped it back and double checked temps, that’s what happened.

I started spotting today. So will go back to specialist going forward this month . xx

I know [emoji15] where did I go.... I tried to catch up but it was a lot. Congrats to all the bfp's. Sorry for the losses. Fx for everyone else. I had to step back, I was getting obsessive. So to keep it a little less stress, I stepped away. On cycle day 5 now, with quite some time until O. I hope this is my month cuz I can't do this much longer. I won't start temping till a little closer to O day. The extra temps just cause me stress. I'm a late O'er. I've been fine with exercise, but food is getting difficult. I have my whole family to feed and I can barely get that done. Making separate meals for myself is too much. I try to just wing it without my calorie counting so that it's less stress, but then I find I have no idea what I am not doing correctly.

I stopped losing weight and that plateau is discouraging. I tried eating more whole grain and less sugar but I'm not a sugar eater anyhow so its the whole grain that is hard cuz I need to buy special. I couldn't go vegetarian or I would starve and the more food ideas I read from people it discourages me more because ppl are eating so little.... whatever. Just venting...

I'm skipping breakfast and drinking a cup of coffee a day at least. Drinking alcohol a few times a week. Not snacking. So its better than before I guess.

Everyone i know keeps having girls....

This is my last shot.

All my kids finished camp and I will need to take them to the pool daily and being that this is the month i want to ttc, I wanted to avoid the pool.

I don’t have an answer but I sure hope it’s just a rogue temp!!! I’m also in this weird place where my OPKs are still so so light but I feel like O is imminent. This is post MC for me so maybe that’s why my body is off?? Anyway- I hope you have a nice low temp tomorrow and your donor shows up with the goods!!

So I looked at mine from yesterday and this has to be a positive! Lol I thought the control line was the top one (close to the white) but it's not. I thought I was never going to get an LH surge and would be anovulatory this cycle. I was pretty achy this morning and thought maybe AF was coming (since my D and C was 7/5 I thought it was possible something was wonky since my temps have been super low). So this surge was a pleasant surprise!

Just left my OB for my DNC followup. Baby had trisomy 16. I’m so glad they didn’t tell me the gender I really could not have handled knowing. But she said I’m at a higher risk for it happening again which made me very nervous!! She seemed like it was a bad thing there was a chromosomal abnormality where I thought that was a good thing rather than baby having nothing wrong?! Now I’m just over here freaking out. I have two healthy boys which I am so grateful for.

Thank you! Great idea on the geneticist. I was thinking it was comforting. So at my appointment I said I was relieved it was chromosomal. She replied that no it was bad news because more likely for chromosomal issues. So basically I got crushed [emoji30] I hadn’t read that anywhere but then she threw that at me☹️

Doc is wrong, trisomies happen to people (you should see the number of our IVF/PGD gals who will have various trisomies and then several normal babies) just random chance. There are a minority, very small minority of people who do have recurrent chromosomal abnormalities but most losses are a)chromosomal and b)never happen again and are just sheer bad luck.

I agree with Atomic though - very likely it was just bad luck! I had 3 consecutive miscarriages and I honestly believe now that they were all just random chromosomal problems- trisomies or triploidy or whatever. I had recurrent pregnancy loss testing after my 3rd and was checked for all kinds of other possible causes of my m/cs and everything came back normal, leading both my OB and specialist to conclude it was “just bad luck” (aka chromosome issues). And yet here I am, 15 weeks pregnant with two seemingly healthy twins :). Which is still insane to me after having all those losses!!

The one thing I was told over and over by all of my doctors is that by having had two healthy kids already, it was much more likely to be just random chromosome errors occurring at conception rather than a defect in DH’s or my chromosomes that would continue to cause the same chromosome problems. So with you having two healthy kids already, that would apply to you as well I’m sure!

As atomic and Pbn and others on here told me as I was going through my losses, it’s really about a good egg and a good sperm meeting and everything going “just right” in those earliest stages and unfortunately sometimes - to no fault of our own - that just doesn’t happen! Doesn’t make it any easier to experience I know. But your rainbow baby is coming - I know it!!!

Well I woke up in tears from a dream where I was off visiting people whom we’ve lost contact with, explaining to them in tears why we’ve been so withdrawn. And my temp dropped from 36.98 yesterday to 36.3. I truly thought I could be pregnant.

It is time for me. Time for my boys. Time to be a wife & a mum. Time to live. To reconnect. I’m so sick of being in the outside looking in on my boys growing. It’s time to walk beside them holding their hands and kissing their faces.

Uncannily it was pretty much 3 years ago (we made our attempts on was likely my ov day this time) I started the physical side of a long planned sway journey. And the conception of my first loss. From their we threw ourselves into planning our HT, one round I promised, a round that was a challenge complete bust. Another round I begged.

He did everything again sacrificing himself to more work & our financial well-being to help me realise this dream in an attempt to get me back, to try and see me fulfilled & able to be again. Again a promise this is the last trip. Transfer didn’t take.

I have to go back and get her, & get her we did! She stuck. We lost her. My heart.

I threw myself into swaying, planning and trying again, it seems to be my method of coping. But coping isn’t a way to live. I’m not here in life. I’m missing out, they are missing out. And I am missing all those angel babies.

But at the same time I’m reluctant to stop. I WILL be MISSING you too! All of you wonderful ladies whom I’ve come to think of as friends. I will miss you all and I really hope that you all find your happy ever after.

I’ve kind of looked forward to life the last few days knowing that either way I wouldn’t be swaying anymore, but I just can’t bring myself to stop the diet, how do I stop? How do I give up, how do i tell myself it’s ok to never hold the baby I’ve dreamed of for so long?

I wish I had more words to say, but I'm so struck by how brave and strong you have been through all of this. I so wish this wasn't how your journey was ending, but I'm glad it is something you seem ready to embrace. I'll miss you around here, but enjoy those boys. Run, play, drink some wine, have some ice cream, and try to bask in the freedom of it. You did everything you could, but things just fell the wrong way. You aren't giving up, it seems to me you are simply choosing to focus on the boys now. You all have worked so hard, emshe. So so hard.

I imagine it's much like grief, some days will be worse than others, but I hope you begin to have more good days then bad. And I hope that you mostly feel at peace with it all.

Emshe, Ive been in this forum for just a few months but gotten to know some incredible, smart, time- generous ladies, and you among them.
You are so right in that life passes by while we are “planning”... sons, or any child is really a gift we sometimes forget .. in no time they will be going to to college and dreaming of something else.
For you to pass time, I really recommend hearing the podcast of: How to Love your Boys by “at home with Sally”

Sometimes in this TTC journey we forget to make our home a “home” and cook something sweet, hear the little laughs of our little ones.

Its also hard being happy about all the BFPs and succesful sways when not being succesful personally. I believe we are capable of being happy for others but at the same time thinking: when will that be me? Will it someday?

The only thing different is I was ready to let it go completely and was so relieved rather than sad or regretful that my ttc journey was over. I was excited about looking for casual work and planning things with my boys. I'll never know why the universe seen fit to give me my girl after I gave up on her (any baby at that stage) so I'll hold onto the hope that as you move on with life and your beautiful boys, that you will be gifted in the exact same way [emoji173] You have a heart of gold and I truly will miss you and your wonderful, supportive posts [emoji17] Take care dear lady xo

Atomic I cant thank you enough for everything that you have guided me with and everyone in this whole community, you are a truly special woman. Your efforts will never be forgotten. AND thankyou for your words, I do wish things were different but I have to try and move on. I could go on trying forever...Imagine, me the lady still trying to conceive her baby girl at 90 ;) I reckon I'd make the papers at least. Die a little famous.

I dont know whether we will stop stop as it seems we don't need contraception, but I am also scared to do NTNP if I'm not on diet. I love the diet, and the not snacking, thats part of why its hard to stop. You made it too good! Maybe Ill just get back into exercise because I LOVE that too, and go easier on measuring. I also enjoy having sex every 3 days, ha, never thought Id say that out loud but its so easy to get too busy. It was nice to know it was a routine. I just need it to be life first now.

Quick update. After that one positive test the opk were negative again until this morning they were super dark positive all day! Quick update. After that one positive test the opk were negative again until this morning they were super dark positive all day! Now my lame soon to be ex donor didn't show up and said he got delayed till tomorrow so hopefully the test today were my real positives and I have time. I'm feeling totally out this month [emoji58]

Yesterday I had the worst ovulation pains of my life. I think my temp rose today reflecting that, which was a relief. So here I am now in the 2ww hoping so so hard!

Ahhhhhh!!! EMSHE! That was the bravest and most difficult post to write, let alone read. Im trying this month and hoping for the best but I think it is time for me to give up the girl idea and love who I have. My hands are so full with my 5 boys, three of which have PANDAS. This is a lot for me and my family and sometimes we need to let go and change our outlook. I don't know how. Dh birthday was today and I made thee most amazing cake and meal that I don't think there are any calories left for dinner [emoji848] and I hate the feeling that I thought for a moment that I should skip eating the rest of the day, after one meal, because of a diet, which btw, I don't physically need. I don't know you, but you always had kind words for everyone. I hope you find this peace and I hope I can learn from you. Because even if I concieve, I am pretty sure boy #6 will come my way. And I just hope no GD will cause me to lose sight of what is so much more important than gender. May you find all that you are hoping for. And everything else that all the other women here said perfectly.
