Thanks PBN! I remember my mental state after our friend's tragedy and thought if I could lessen your load in any way, I would love to do it.

So, I plan on trying this month. But I definitely have a lot of emotions about trying. I'm also slightly sad that I'm in this situation again charting, waiting for positives, etc. I was feeling really positive and hopeful about everything, but now that AF has started (or what I think is AF) all these weird emotions have popped up. Was hoping that TTC was behind me, BUT it's totally worth it and I'm so grateful for this forum! :) My OB said to wait 5-6 weeks to try again, which lines up with when I *might* ovulate this cycle, so I'm just going for it even if I O early. Hope I'm not setting myself up for another miscarriage though, but I also don't want to wait if I don't need to.

I'm also having a very light AF, assuming it's even AF (all the emotions make me think it is lol). I'm going to start temping to see if this was AF and if I ovulate this cycle. I'm anticipating it might be a weird cycle given my D and C was July 5. Currently on what I *think* is CD 3.

I'm so excited for everyones BFPs, it's so encouraging. I am simultaneously happy and sad to see some familiar faces here. FINGERS CROSSED SO HARD for those of you who have been here <3

I didn't even realise that I was already 4dpo lol. I removed the ewcm from the chart from earlier in the month therefore it's given a clear cross hairs! Made me so excited to see.

Think I'll be leaving it as long as possible to test, but no doubt will cave around 10dpo

Last month was a very successful month with so many BFPs let's hope we can keep that trend going!

Cd2 is behind me now. I decided to take bcp for 1 week (through cd8) and stop then use opks starting cd10 just in case I O early due to bcp. The pack says after 1 week it is safe to not use any other barriers so I figure 8 days will offer some sway benefits without causing too much delay. Other than that my sway will stay the same except no glob of sylk before dtd but that wasn't in the plan to begin with anyway. GL ladies! July had A TON of bfps, I hope this month will have many too!

Hi!!
Thanks for starting the thread.. CD4 here and first cycle with Femara... this month im going to try to distract myself (organizing photos on my computer.. making photoalbums, etc) and started a class of high intensity aquaerobics today... I was so buffed. I needed a new cardio work out besides walking lol.
So im going to take this month really relaxed and distracted hopefully.

Hahaha yes, for some reason it won’t show BD attempts? So I put in notes lol
I tested again before lunch and it’s positive so I’m waiting for my temp rise tomorrow. My temp has been all over the place this month, and FF have disregarded lots of them due to being sick. So 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Have been toying with the idea of maybe another attempt? But I think I’ll leave that for for next month [emoji4]

Ughhhhh I forgot to temp today. CD 5 somehow already. I’m so out of the habit. I even got my thermometer out! Maybe I’ll set an alarm on my phone for tomorrow.

When should I start using OPKs? I doubt this will be a normal cycle. That was the lightest AF of my life (assuming it was AF).

HDP I seen your chart screenshot in July thread and have to say it's strange how it can go from looking so discouraging to hmmmm those plateaued temps look suspiciously promising.... I've seen a number of charts where the temps flatline like that go onto be bfp charts but I've been fooled a couple times by said pattern too [emoji848] especially when the flat line temps are likely pre implantation. You need to post us a daily screenshot though as I'll be very interested to see the next few days temps!!

Latest chart below. I've never seen such a slow and (hopefully) steady climb. Fx.
Also I got the closest to pos on CD 19. Negative on 20 and 21. My chart says I Oed on 21.
Our BD attempts were CD 17 and 21 as DH was traveling.
I had slight EWCM around cd 19, but took antihistamines twice on 19&20, so I think that makes CM unreliable.
Is there a chance at conception this cycle? I'm not very confident.

Met with my OBGYN yesterday. Short version of the appt- have more sex. So I'll try q72hr next cycle. Work on root of why DH isnt finishing. Reduce stress in household. I'm going to start zoloft and counseling. She offered femara with monitoring but DH said no. We agreed to revisit the offer after 6 failed cycles. I'm on cycle #4 post mc now. We both hope I find a BFP next week. She drew thyroid levels, just to check again.

Hi ladies, I’ve just been to the doctors and they’ve took blood (results on Monday) but she won’t refer me to the early pregnancy unit till 6 weeks or do a repeat blood test as she said that it’s too early and the results wouldn’t change what they would do, so I just have to wait. It’s not looking good though as today’s test is definitely lighter than yesterday’s. Im sure if it was progressing normally it would be as dark as the control line by now and it’s not. I’m so fed up and just want to know either way [emoji53]

Met with my OBGYN yesterday. Short version of the appt- have more sex. So I'll try q72hr next cycle. Work on root of why DH isnt finishing. Reduce stress in household. I'm going to start zoloft and counseling. She offered femara with monitoring but DH said no. We agreed to revisit the offer after 6 failed cycles. I'm on cycle #4 post mc now. We both hope I find a BFP next week. She drew thyroid levels, just to check again.

Hi ladies, I’ve just been to the doctors and they’ve took blood (results on Monday) but she won’t refer me to the early pregnancy unit till 6 weeks or do a repeat blood test as she said that it’s too early and the results wouldn’t change what they would do, so I just have to wait. It’s not looking good though as today’s test is definitely lighter than yesterday’s. Im sure if it was progressing normally it would be as dark as the control line by now and it’s not. I’m so fed up and just want to know either way [emoji53]

There's the bloated, gassy feeling. Since 5dpo, I've had a weird bad taste in my mouth. But I'm not going to symptom analyze. If I did, I'd convince myself I'm pregnant and end up being too disappointed then. Keep your fx for me jgo. Will be 10 Dpo this Sunday. I might not test at all though.

Latest chart below. I've never seen such a slow and (hopefully) steady climb. Fx.
Also I got the closest to pos on CD 19. Negative on 20 and 21. My chart says I Oed on 21.
Our BD attempts were CD 17 and 21 as DH was traveling.
I had slight EWCM around cd 19, but took antihistamines twice on 19&20, so I think that makes CM unreliable.
Is there a chance at conception this cycle? I'm not very confident.

Hgmama I'm sorry you appt didn't go great. How does she expect you to bd more if dh is having issues finishing [emoji17] And why was hubby against femara?? I have been on zoloft for nearly two years and am very slowly weaning off with my last two packets. I'm down to half tablet e3d. It truly did wonders for me and the reason I'm weaning off over several months is to make sure I can. I hope it helps you as much as it did me [emoji173]

Anyway, I pretty much begged her to let me do a repeat one and explained how anxious I was and she’s letting me have another test on Monday “but only one more, we’re not getting into serial hcg tests until you have symptoms” So at least I won’t be in limbo for too long.

HDP I seen your chart screenshot in July thread and have to say it's strange how it can go from looking so discouraging to hmmmm those plateaued temps look suspiciously promising.... I've seen a number of charts where the temps flatline like that go onto be bfp charts but I've been fooled a couple times by said pattern too [emoji848] especially when the flat line temps are likely pre implantation. You need to post us a daily screenshot though as I'll be very interested to see the next few days temps!!

More often than not flatline temps result in a bfp on my experience but again you're smack bang in the middle of when implantation generally takes place so let's see how next two or so temps look. Will you be testing at 10dpo'ish regardless?

I'm in a big funk over here guys. I want to try again, but I feel like my sway is completely ruined at this point from being pregnant ten weeks (I had dropped the LE diet and exercise). I had worked so hard, and I'm back on the sway now but won't be very long. I didn't go right back on it after my miscarriage, it was just too soon for me.

We also were lucky to conceive but we chose to do Egg meets Sperm after a few months of nothing with one attempt/one at opk, I don't know if my husband (who is now in an incredibly demanding job) and I will be able to do that again. So we may just have to dtd when we have the chance, and pray we don't miss it.

Sorry to vent, just didn't know where else to write this. I know some of you all have experienced miscarriages and I'm wondering what your perspectives were on all this? I'm definitely ready to try again, I guess I'm mostly sad about my "sway" and how much harder I think it will be to sway well enough and to even get pregnant with his new job.

Kiku, I dont know what the timeframes are for being off the sway and then returning after awhile, but it is possible that you might still benefit from the previous sway- I bet you aren't back at square one. I think most of us don't start swaying again right after a miscarriage. (I started this sway about a month after my d&c.) As for the timing- I understand being worried. Kiku Im sorry you’re feeling apprehensive. I read a response only the other day similar to this from atomic and it was quite reassuring. Start a thread and ask her I’m sure you’ll get some feedback and some tips. I believe that your loss also sways pink.

The job thing can be tough it always sends me into a panic around ppl time but usually attempts work out. We found early morning e4d before leaving for work a bit easier this time round, not sure if that could work for you?

Well as for me, I tried really hard not to test again today and took my boys out for the day ( in the pouring rain..) which was good to take my mind off it. Then my clear blue tests arrived from amazon and I couldn’t help myself!! ( I seriously have a problem [emoji23][emoji23]) Anyway I got 2-3 weeks which I’m cautiously pleased about, with my last loss I didn’t get that till 20 dpo and I’m 16dpo now. I’m getting my repeat hcg done on Monday but I just wondered if anyone knew what hcg level clear blue is for 2-3 weeks?! Mummy2boys I'm going to be the annoying person here and say as someone who has had repeated losses (meaning yourself) take the test result with a grain of salt and put zero thought into what numbers *should* be etc to get the different readings. You'll find a thousand stories of inaccuracy regarding these weeks estimators. They have caused a lot of unnecessary stress on one hand and false confidence on the other, and I can say that as someone who researched for hours about them when I went through similar. I know how hard it is to wait but the only accurate result will be your bw results. Even then though, I learnt the hard way that great early repeat beta results dont always mean a successful pregnancy BUT it is definately comforting and more often than not a sign of success plus it's alot more accurate than test progression.

HDP one small dip in temp means nothing. As for what to watch for now, either a rise back up and higher is promising but so is a rise back up and maintaining. As long as you dont see a steady decline - like you mentioned - over the next few days, I'd be feeling pretty darn good about testing. I understand your hesitation though at seeing a bfn and when your chart looks good it makes a bfn so much harder to swallow. The opk thing doesn't always work. So lh and hcg are kinda like twin hormones, an opk will pick up hcg and show as pos (but not before a hpt would) but a hpt doesn't detect lh (not that we'd use hpts as opks anyway [emoji857]) however, a lh surge just before is possible and I myself have gotten a dark but not pos opk i nthe days prior to af being due. So in short [emoji23] a pos opk from 10dpo onwards would be promising BUT neither a gaurantee that it would be followed either a bfp OR bfn.

It's more common to not see one than to see one. Usually a week or so after o a secondary estrogen surge can cause a dip in temp and that is what we most commonly see.

I also agree that attempts have a qay of just working out most times and the less thought and stress you put into it the better [emoji173] I know it's hard to remember but it takes a single sperm to fertilise an egg so while smep certainly ups your odds, if you only get one attempt in at 'go' time then you still have every chance. I would just bd whenever possible at least every few days and then if using opks try for an extra attempt then. If it works out with hubbys work great! If not, you'll still have a viable attempt by dtd every few days anyway [emoji4] As for the swaying side though, definately ask Atomics advice. She has a great way of calming things down with her explanations and advice [emoji173]

It has just made me chill out a little though and I suppose that must be a good thing as my anxiety is pretty high at the moment. The waiting is so hard!! I just feel in limbo. How did you cope whilst waiting for your first scan?

Mummy thank you! I’ve heard loss sways pink too, but I know several people who had boys when they got pregnant right after losses. And I was on the diet for seven months so you’re right- hope some of that stuck [emoji51]

Mummy2boys as awful as this sounds I just assumed I wouldn't get that far... when I got to the dating scan I was measuring 2? days behind and in my mind the hb was too slow. So more waiting to mc until I got my NIPT results back at 11-12w which showed bub had no abnormalities. Only then did I start feeling a glimmer of hope but it wasn't until my 12w scan and seeing bub happy and healthy in there that I actually allowed myself to believe that this was going to be my take home baby.

I'm not sure what to say here as of course I want you to have hope and I have a gazillion truckloads of it for you but I'm not going to insult your intelligence either by saying you shouldn't worry and try not to stress as once you've been through repeated losses it's impossible. All I can say is have hope but let it be cautious hope until you get to your first scan [emoji173] Feel like a big fat meanie for saying all that [emoji17] but life isn't all rainbows and unicorns. Just know I'm here for you to vent, stress and celebrate with at any time. You can pm me whenever you need and I'll always be honest with you [emoji847]

With my last pregnancy I read that a positive opk may indicate pregnancy and so I tried it and it was positive. So this time because I was so scared to test and see a negative i decided to just try the opk and see what happens and because it was positive I got some courage to do the hpt. I did mine at 11dpo with pretty concentrated fmu.

Most sites I read that the opk would turn positive after a positive hpt. I was just too chicken this time to do the hpt first lol

Thank you for writing this, Pbn. I feel like I am holding my breath until a 12 week scan. With my miscarriage I heard a heartbeat at 7.5 weeks and thought I'd made it to the second trimester, but the embryo stopped developing very soon after that scan. When/if I reach the second trimester and hear that strong hearbeat I will believe this is really going to work out. Until then I will hope cautiously. There's nothing to do except worry or hope cautiously, so let's aim for hope.

My boobs are sore, larger and the aereola /nipple area looks a shade darker. That got me excited to test.

HDP a rise is always a hopeful sign but yes disturbed sleep can cause a falsely high temp too. Good news is 9dpo is normally simply too early for a bfp so will look forward to your next test whenever that will be [emoji3][emoji173] (tomorrow right? [emoji12] just kiddin [emoji173])

Temp spike is exciting, though as pbn said the disturbed sleep could cause it to have been high.

I pray that you end up having a good day especially knowing that 9dpo is pretty early. I also hope that you can easily hold out until 11dpo :)

I dont know if this is true for everyone but I think a symptom that is not usually a post ovulation one for you is a good sign.

Thanks for the support girls! It cheered me up. My family is visiting and we are driving up to Catskill in upstate NY for the day! So I'm going to just jump into family day and be goofy and take my mind off this!
I think I might be pregnant, because my breasts are killing me. I changed clothes thrice this morning trying to get comfortable. Like most women, I also have some tender breasts as PMS, but never to the point of constant discomfort. I'm also cramping on /off the past 3 days. At this point, I'm sort of uncomfortable and wish this will pass. I've only had this type of discomfort in my early days of nursing.
Hope you all have a relaxing weekend! And may the next week be filled with happy Aug BFPs.

Hello all, just wanted to say hi and I am jumping in the TTC wagon again. I finally started my cycle again after having my daughter 13.5 months ago. I am not swaying really but I did with my first. This month will be our first attempt.

Thanks for the support girls! It cheered me up. My family is visiting and we are driving up to Catskill in upstate NY for the day! So I'm going to just jump into family day and be goofy and take my mind off this!
I think I might be pregnant, because my breasts are killing me. I changed clothes thrice this morning trying to get comfortable. Like most women, I also have some tender breasts as PMS, but never to the point of constant discomfort. I'm also cramping on /off the past 3 days. At this point, I'm sort of uncomfortable and wish this will pass. I've only had this type of discomfort in my early days of nursing.
Hope you all have a relaxing weekend! And may the next week be filled with happy Aug BFPs.
Let's see if we can keep up with July! :)

Jgojah I remember a long time ago (as in possibly 1.5/2 years) that US pulled the weeks estimators from the shelves and were no longer selling them in store or online. We were still able to get them either way here in Aus. There was a reason behind it but I cant recall what it was....

I might just do a cheapie. The stark negative on the frer breaks my heart! I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
Pbn, in your experience, do majority of the ladies get at least faint bfp's on 10 Dpo? I know that 11dpo is much better at clear results. I haven't seen squinters at 11 dpo and beyond, in my short time here.

Yes HDP usually 10dpo is a good starting point for a faint but still obvious line. However there is always the exception. There's been 3 ladies I know of during my time that had stark bfns on 10dpo and went on to get bfps within the next couple days. And I'm referring to frers too. Hoping I'll still be awake when you test [emoji102]

I had the real pressure pain the night after positive opk, so cd18, I usually see the temp change morning after that, but this time it was that morning so it’s weird. I don’t know. Maybe cd19 but no great rise after that either.

Ladies can I ask about zoloft and your experiences. Completely understand if you'd rather not. I am beginning to think, well have for a while actually, that it maybe time for me to get some help. I did try a psychologist last year which gave me some strategies to try. Anxiety is my biggest problem, but I think I am also feeling sad and a bit disconnected from living too. My mind never stops and I think this has alot to do with my sleep issues.

I was in a deep depression and experiencing wild mood swings, from deliriously happy to a sobbing mess. I felt useless as a wife and mother and had some insane thoughts about how much better off everyone would be without me and that my kids would be young enough they wouldn't remember me anyway, that kinda thing. After god knows what number phone call ringing my mum drunk in tears I finally made the appt to see my gp. Even that made me depressed as I felt like a failure at the thought of needing meds. She immediately started me on zoloft and I was referred to a psychologist. I only ended up seeing him three times as the zoloft worked absolute wonders!! I felt like 'me' again and realised I had truly lost who I was as a person and had just become this empty shell that functioned normally on the outside but inside I was dying. It was within the second and third week I felt the change and I could cry now remembering the relief I felt at feeling normal again. I weaned back to a half tablet before I fell pregnant as I was planning to stop taking it, but stayed on it during my pregnacy and after as I was too scared the hormones would send me back and that terrified the crap out of me. I have been very slowly weaning off over the past couple months and am currently taking a half dose every third day which I will spread out to every 4 days in 2/3 weeks time. I'll do few weeks of one half dose a week then stop altogether. So far so good and zero symptoms of depression creeping back which I am so thankful for. If I ever in life feel that way again I will have no hesitation at going back on it. I will never ever allow myself to get back in that position. I am now a huge advocate of anti depressants as without them I do not believe I would have got better. They gave me clarity and allowed me to see and recognise what had happened and gave me the time needed to heal [emoji173]

Oh no really? I can’t help in the medication department but when I had PND and severe anxiety , I went and saw a kinesiologist and she helped me so much. But I have heard meds to have helped an awful lot for some, so it couldn’t hurt trying something if you feel that way. Big hugs ❤️

There were a couple of factors in hindsight that may have made it elevated...DH snuggled- up he's a hot sleeper, electric blanket, slightly restless.

Even though there's a temp drop today it's still in line with Saturday's temp. And still higher than 9dpo on the last snippet of a chart... which I've attached

Hi all,
Been lurking on tww a bit but first post.
Just looking for a bit of advice - have two boys from dtd lots throughout fertile window and doing inadvertent boy sways (basically I was worried about my fertility so did every trick in the book - acupuncture, preseed, you name it).
This time have been doing LE diet since January and am on eight cycle ttc.
I am 11 months post partum and have tried Femara for three cycles and vitex for four cycles so this is my first month going au natural.

I am getting a bit impatient so trying to do E4D plus one but my body likes to keep me guessing and I have thought for the last two days that I had a pos opk but my body is keeping the ewcm coming! Anyway, we have DTD the last three days and this morning I got a hugely positive opk for the first time (as in, came up within seconds). Should we D4D tonight? I am erring on just going for it but just wanted to see what you think? Then we won’t do any further attempts from tonight onwards. ECWM seems a bit drier this morning so we think I should hopefully o tonight or tomorrow. What do you think? Many thanks!!

I should add that I ovulate on the last side - cd20 ish or so - and I currently am doing LE fertility diet and raspberry leaf tea to try and lengthen my luteal phase which is 8/9 days. I am taking progesterone after o this month as well. Cheers.

Hmmm manchestermrs this is one of those flip a coin decisions I think [emoji848] On one hand, if you've dtd the last three days in a row then hey you're already at multiple attempts anyway so what's another going to hurt plus hubby's tank would near be running on empty.... On the other hand if you don't and o tomorrow then you have a 2-o and 3-o attempt in (I'm not sure I'd bother counting the 4-o as an attempt) which is closer to one attempt per se than three... If it was me I'd probably just dtd tomorrow morning. That at least covers for a later o (as in 2nd day after pos opk) OR I'd leave it altogether and stick with the attempts already done and resume e4d (every 72 hours) from last attempt. You've been on the le diet so long now and would likely still have femara in your system from last cycle so you're doing the right thing by adding attempts. As I mentioned, it's a flip a coin kinda decision imo and I'm really sorry I cant be of more help [emoji17]. I dont think Atomic would see a post asking the question in time so I'm going to lean towards dtd tomorrow morning as what I *think* I would do [emoji85] BUT go with your gut feeling. You know now you can get a proper pos opk so if there's any doubt about another attempt then by all means hold off a further attempt until 72 hours from last and continue with that pattern for the remainder of cycle or preferably bfp [emoji3]

I feel like we’ve already inadvertently got ourselves into a frequent bd pattern to accident this cycle so erring on doing one more attempt late tonight. We would struggle to do it tomorrow morning as our kids often wake anytime from 5 onwards - it’s really unpredictable - so it would have to be late tonight as we also both leave for work after they are up and out the door to nursery. No problem and honestly go for it if that's what you feel you should do. You're very well covered by last nights attempt if you do o tomorrow but if you o later than that you're odds are going to drop by quite (if you stick with what you've done) Also I know a lady who's chart I'll ask for that dtd like 5 times in her fertile window and still got a girl so while number of attempts can be a strong sway tactic for many, some simply cant get pregnant from that 'one' attempt [emoji4] I do know atomic prefers additional attempts instead of going off the diet too so you should feel very good about how far you've come! I'll be back with a screenshot of that chart [emoji6]

Yes I’ve been testing every day but only with cheapies, I’ll post a pic. I’ve got one last frer that I might do tomorrow to see if its darkened now it’s been a few days. Hey I’m that momma, that did the five attempts in a row, because I just wasn’t conceiving. I still stayed on the diet was doing 4-5 days of 60 minutes cardio, drinking coffee. After we got my positive ovulation test we did five days in a row. I kept my faith in the lord and knew I would conceive her though. The lord hinted even before I conceived her in different ways that he was answering that prayer.
Good luck momma and you can have whatever pink dust I have!
