I'm 8dpo too! I'm gonna hold out until Saturday morning (dreaded 36th birthday). Don't think about the queasy factor. You wouldn't even have an hcg at all right now unless you implanted early, and you need a decent amount to really affect you. How do your boobs feel? Have any cramps?

OH, no, 5! That is exactly what happened to me last month...my levels were only a 10 when they first took my hcg (but didn't bother telling me until I started spotting a week later! when they rechecked it then it was down to 0) :( I know exactly how you feel--heartbroken after just having your hopes up so very high then to have them crushed so quickly. :hugs: We're all here for you.

Another BFN for me

Tell me I am not going crazy! So I had 8 bottles of blood taken yesterday ok. I tested BEFORE I went to the dr and got the faint line. Went to dr today and the BT from yesterday said 3. I just did another test now and the line is HEAPS DARKER. Surely if my hcg had dropped to just 3, a preg test would not pick that low a level up?
HPT cant show if it is only at 3 (although the bloods were done yesterday?) let alone get DARKER??!! Can it? Tell me if I'm wrong..

I had 8 vials of blood taken yesterday perhaps it is an error because I had soo many tests.

Forgot to add I have high sugar levels too have to be rechecked every 6 months as I am close to 7 which is cause of concern apparently. All my other tests were normal.

I think it's a good sign if the test is getting darker.
I was thinking maybe it was only 3 cause the test was done early thats why I asked how many dpo you were.
FX the BT was done heaps early. Go get another BT to check your levels and see if they are rising.

Ok ladies me again. Your not going to believe this, massive head do-er-in-er-er!!!
So.. I tested again just now. BFP. Line is double as dark as yesterday!!!!
Now...
if my hcg (taken yesterday) was only 3 surely the test today would not be getting darker? Do hpt's even pick up a level that low? Maybe it was human error whoever read the results and put the data in? As I had 8 vials of blood taken that day so there were lots of numbers and tests!

Just bear in mind that hcg leaves the blood quicker than it leaves the urine. So there may be more hcg in the urine than in the blood.

I meant that if this little one wasn't going to stick that the numbers would decrease first in the blood. The rest of the hcg would then be excreted via the urine and that's why they might be darker than they were yesterday.

BUT, everything might turn out to be perfectly fine! You might just have low bhcg levels.

Just been looking around on google and found that -

An hCG level of less than 5mIU/ml is considered negative for pregnancy, and anything above 25mIU/ml is considered positive for pregnancy.

So i think you should have the levels tested again to see if they are moving up or down. FX for you 5.

If your levels were dropping than they would be lower in your blood than in your urine. So they might have been a 3 on your BT but they might be 10, for example, in your urine. It is a bit confusing.

Each pathology place is different so sometimes they are entered in by a person, sometimes it is via a collection/computer system.

5, I really think that is a possibility! You just can't be sure when you O'd. Have you got any lower sensitivity tests? If you used a higher one and it was positive you would know that your levels were higher.

I used FRER but the box does not say how sensitive it is? Wouldnt the hcg be leaving my urine from yesterday if it were not rising? Does that make sense? Hubby is getting more tests. Dr said not to bother with urine tests but meh I have to..

I think FRER has a sensitivity of 10, but I'm not 100% sure.

If it isn't a sticky one... Because hcg enters the blood first and then goes into the urine, it would have taken longer for the hcg to get in the urine. So the level in the blood *may* have initially been higher than a 3 but by the time you had your bloods test done it was down to a 3. Your urine may have been just getting hcg into it when you tested yesterday and then the rest of the hcg that was in your body might have come into your urine today. And then it would slowly leave your urine until there was none left.

Oh good, check with a lower sensitivity one and see what it shows. I said a higher sensitivity in the post above but I meant lower.

I might be wrong...but I think it means something. I have had losses that resulted in d&c's where I had high (not declining) hcg...the tests never got darker...same or lighter. I would test daily with fmu. See if they start getting lighter, or darker!!

Are you really 2 days past expected AF as it shows in your ticker? I would expect AF to be here if your hcg was at 3 yesterday and going down. I would say...DON'T STRESS...until AF shows or tests get darker....test each morning and see what happens. Take prenatal's and relax.

I am about 12dpo. I don't know if I count the days right. I am going by when I had ewcm, but I've been told you can O on a different day from when you had ewcm so I guess I really don't have any idea how many dpo I am.

We were only able to DTD twice this cycle, but we were releasing on other days.
DTD and ewcm on CD19 which means I am 12dpo today and AF is due in 2 days.

My last cycle O was messed up due to L-arg but the 2 cycles before that I had ewcm on CD19 and AF came 14days after that.

The Dr. told me last month that the hcg levels actually clear out of the blood faster than the urine and that is why I had the +on the hpt when levels have to be 25 to show up on it but my BT was only 10. The farther time goes along you can still get a +hpt but a -BT. BUT, I sure hope that is not the case with you, 5, and that it was just too early and that your numbers will keep increasing!

Had no time to come back last week and kids are just back to school today.
About my workout well Im damn lazy lol so things are going slow....I have wii sport and fit , zumba too but yeah not really doing it.But finally this weeks we can go out it's not so hot so I go out with the girls and run around and play ball. We also got a puppy for Christmas ( a girl lol) so taking her out too.
I really wish this would go faster...

I am sooooooo sorry, TTC5. I know it happens to all of us (so don't feel alone), but it just sucks even if you thought you were pg for a day. I hope you are feeling ok. But- the good thing is that you DID get pregnant! So you know your ovaries are kicking out eggs that your DH's sperm is getting to.....all good things. ttc5 im so sorry hun. but yes i agree if its 5 you aren't pregnant but you have to be over 25 to get a bfp. im not sure i always got negative hpt but postive blood work. i heard the blood work was more accurate but i guess thats not true in your case. hope you have a sticky bean in there.

I would know in the back of your mind that this may not be it...but relax, remain hopeful and test daily...same time and compare tests and see if AF arrives. Nothing else you can do I guess.

TTC5, I agree with POP's advice. You just don't know, so try your best to relax.

About the hcg levels, here is my experience with my chemical last year: Got bfp at 11dpo. Did 3 tests on 11,12, and 14 dpo, and they got darker. So, 14dpo would have been 4 weeks preg exactly. At 5 weeks exactly (so, 21dpo), I was spotting and went to the doc (a new one, mind you). She did a urine test and it came in stark white negative. The doc comes in and tells me I was not ever pregnant and treats me a bit like I was a crazy women, which pissed me off. I told her I had 3 + tests, which she does not acknowledge because the test they took (a 25ml sensitivity) came back start white. So, within a week, I had a test go from really dark to dead white. I don't know if that means anything, and correlates with Bec's info about urine and blood and hcg levels. (I never had a beta done.)

5 - I just remembered this. When dd1 turned 2 we went out to dinner and I got food poisoning, 4 days later I was still crazy sick. I went to the dr and they preformed a full blood panel. It revealed 0 indication of pregnancy and elevated liver levels, 2 days later I got a solid bfp. The dr didn't believe it and had me test again in his office, bfp. A week later I was still pregnant and diagnosed with mono. That little bean turned 7 in November. Keep your head up, I'm still hopeful. If things don't work out, ita with Lola. You got preg and it'll happen again :)

Good story, Jen. Important to remember that doctors (and tests) can *sometimes* be wrong- because the person who administered or recorded them is wrong, or because your body is doing something unique, in which case the medical community can sometimes not believe since so many doctors are trained to go with protocol and textbook cases and don't deal well with variation. Heck, when I was pg with DD1, I had just had a chemical 2 weeks before I ovulated and got pg, so I went in for 3 week checkup from my m/c and told my doc at the time, "I think I am pregnant again." It was literally at 14dpo or so. She LAUGHED at me and told me that you can't get pregnant right after a miscarriage. Well, I had fun laughing at her ass and saying "I told you so" when my hpt that I made her do came back positive.

I know it's confusing.....if I get pg, I will be on the fence about it too, except that my Dh and girls will want to know (they told me when I was pg last year both times). Your attitude is SUPER AMAZING! I am so sorry about your DD5....and you are right, losing a child makes you not care about gender anymore. I really don't care much myself....maybe about 1%. And you know what, I think families with a bunch of girls or boys are SO CUTE. I really do. One of my best friends growing up was the youngest of 4 girls, and they were the happiest, funnest family. The sisters all get together now and have a BLAST as adults. I have been out with all of them a few times and they have like a secret code or bond that is just super cool.

My girls were both one hit wonders--one BD and pregnant the first cycle. They were also both "oops" babies. One when I was 30 and one when I was 36. DS took 3 months to conceive, so I am guessing it is easier to conceive without the stress of trying? If I wasn't swaying, maybe we would just start DTD any time we wanted and just not prevent... but I am sure that would get me another girl! At least with the sway, I have a chance for a boy.

thank you hobbermittens, i went in for my 20 week scan and heard its a girl so i left in tears. the next day my dr called and said my cervix looked short and to go back in another week for another scan. so at 21 weeks i went in dr called and said umm its still short and now its funneling at the end come in and let me check you. i was dialted to 2cm. which i blew off i was stuck at a 4th for a month with the last one. but he said he wanted to sew my cervix shut. so i was admitted and i had to wait a few more days or an o.r. the night before my surgery i was 22 weeks and went into labor. they think it could have been an infection in my amnionic fluid but they aren't for sure. she was born alive and still in her sac. her eyes were fused but she was kicking and trying to breath. 3 docs were there and said ,"shes not considered viable until 25 weeks." and they left so i held her for 2 hours and said good by. it was hard on the kids they came wanting to see their new baby and i didn't have one to show them. so when i did my mega boy sway for number 6 and got twin girls i wasn't too heartbroken. we lost one but dd number 6 is such a blessing. and i had no problems with her so fx i get the same good luck with this one.

I was actually a little bummed when this pg was a OHW again since both of my girls were as well; I figured it was probably another girl just because of that. I would have had my hopes up for blue more if it had taken me a couple of months to get pg, oddly!

Girlmom it is so hard, the surprise vs. finding out decision! I reeeeally struggled with it this time. DH and I had agreed not to find out this time (he has always wanted a surprise and we found out with the 1st 2) but I couldn't wait, and went and had an us at 16 weeks that he still doesn't know about. If it had been a boy I could've kept the secret but since it is another girl, I got pretty depressed. So then DH thought we should find out (LOL, he didn't know I knew for sure) because if I was THAT upset about it MAYBE being a girl, then he'd rather know in advance. So we "found out" at the 20 week scan. Even though the GD has been tough I've been glad to know. But I think it's such a different experience for every woman that there's no right answer. FX you come to a peace with whichever route you go!

i was screaming at the top of my lungs for them to save her. i hated those doctors but now that time has gone by ( 2 years in april) i can honestly say that if she were going to die anyway and really i dont' know of any 22 weekers that made it but i could be wrong. if she were going to die im glad she didn't suffer anymore then she did. she was opening and closing her mouth trying her hardest to breath but i mean if they had taken her from me and jabbed needles into her veins and tubes down her throat and done god knows what to her while i cried and cried.... i mean im glad i got to hold her and be with her and i pray she knew peace and love during her 2 hours with me.

Hobber - I didn't test till my BFF made me at 12dpo. I had no symptoms and was sure AF was arriving any minute. Don't count yourself yet.

Girlmom - not even going to pretend it's the same thing but after losing my last pregnancy at 13 wks I wanted this one to stick 90% and only 10% cared about its gender. It's horrible that it takes something like that sometimes to shake us into realizing how precious it all is. I'm sure she knew she was loved and you were both so lucky to have her pass away snuggled and adored instead of in a plastic nicu crib covered in wires and full of IV's.

I am about 12dpo. I don't know if I count the days right. I am going by when I had ewcm, but I've been told you can O on a different day from when you had ewcm so I guess I really don't have any idea how many dpo I am.

We were only able to DTD twice this cycle, but we were releasing on other days.
DTD and ewcm on CD19 which means I am 12dpo today and AF is due in 2 days.

My last cycle O was messed up due to L-arg but the 2 cycles before that I had ewcm on CD19 and AF came 14days after that.

Did you test today? Are you going to get some more OPKs so you can be sure when you O?

You know your case disproves the theory that hcg is in the blood first. If your BT hcg was only 3 and you got a + hpt BEFORE the BT...they don't read below a 10. Most are around 25!!

i was screaming at the top of my lungs for them to save her. i hated those doctors but now that time has gone by ( 2 years in april) i can honestly say that if she were going to die anyway and really i dont' know of any 22 weekers that made it but i could be wrong. if she were going to die im glad she didn't suffer anymore then she did. she was opening and closing her mouth trying her hardest to breath but i mean if they had taken her from me and jabbed needles into her veins and tubes down her throat and done god knows what to her while i cried and cried.... i mean im glad i got to hold her and be with her and i pray she knew peace and love during her 2 hours with me.

I totally understand that. I would feel the same way....sorry for asking that question.....I just don't hear of babies moving that much when born so early. Well, all things happen for a reason, as cliche as that is to say. It is super touching and peaceful that she never knew life outside of your body or arms.

THanks! THe thing is my temps are NEVER above 98.3 when I'm not pregnant...the beginning of this cycle you can see where my temps were still high from the chemical. I've charted for the last 6 months and not a single morning temp above 98.3 except for the cycle with the chemical.

I hear ya. I would just try to beat the cold as much as you can....you know what has helped me avoid any sort of illness this whole fall/winter season? This miracle drink powder stuff called EmergenC. I've used it for years, and it helps so much. You can get it at lots of places....health food stores and vitamin stores all have it. As far as the craps :wink: that is a good sign if you normally don't get them, I would say. Try not to worry about another m/c.....I know, easier said than done, and I will be the same way if ever pg again, but having craps again does not mean things will necessarily go in the same direction. When are you testing?

I see my dr today to talk about what next. As we def can not do the xray now.. he mentioned a bowel specialist and colonoscopy. Have not gone since the fleet almost a week ago now :( Had pains last night which isnt a good thing. And the bloods I have to have the glucose test as I failed the fasting one.

With so many of you gals having the craps I think we will be getting at least one more BFP this month!! I am shocking with poas. I use opk's every day until 9 dpo then start the hpt's. With my last daughter I got + opk at 8dpo that turned into a BFP at 10dpo. I am bad!! An addict....

Goodluck at the docs today TTC5. I have heard that Aloe vera drink can help get things moving in there. Also some people have problems with bowel movement when they stop drinking coffee and eat a lot of startchy foods like potatoes, so maybe mention that you were on the boy diet without actually saying boy diet ;)

AFM - well AF has officially come, two weeks after the peak on the monitor! I am pretty sure my body tried to O but didn't b/c my temps didn't shift. Now I get to see if my cycles will be normal or irregular... I am happy on one hand b/c I will probably be able to lose the last of my baby weight now. But also bummed... Honor is so high-needs, nurses tons, etc - you would think my body would hold off on being fertile. Maybe having more kiddos makes you more fertile... Anyways, I hope cycles are normal and make it easy to TTA since it's this time next year that we want to try.

Ok, new thing happening and I'm totally symptom obsessive! I mentioned I was having a bad breakout on my jawline and chin...well, now I have a weird rash that is all around my bra line! Not on my BBs, but below and above where my bra is...no where else and it doesn't itch! It reminds me of a rash I had late in my pregnancy with my DS (!!!!) that the doctor called Pruritic Papules of Pregnancy. I'm wondering if this might be what it is??? I only had it that one time and it went away after I delivered him. The only thing is it came up the last month or so, not earlier.

I hope it's not an ectopic :( Your level does seem low but don't they always say it's not the value of the hcg that matters so much but whether it doubles appropriately or not?

SO, I have this burning sensation cramp today (11dpo). Did anyone have that in the 2ww? Makes me think that AF is coming. So kinda bummed today. Yesterday, my boobs felt gigantic and sore, and not as much today. I resisted testing this morning because I am trying to hold out hope that I will get a birthday bfp in the morning, but I'm kinda doubting it now. :sad:
