Insurance question.
My insurance doesn't cover any infertility treatment. Can the cost I pay for IVF go towards my deductible? We have a super high family deductible of 10k. It would be awesome if we could do IVF and hopefully have the baby in the same year. Especially if it would go towards my deductible. I'm not sure if it works that way or not though.
ttc our first baby May 2014!!
Failed sway resulted in an adorable baby boy. Perfect in every way
Failed sway with another cute boy May 2016.
Trying HT Feb, 2018 Hopefully it works!!

In order for something to go towards a deductible, it has to be covered in some way. If IVF is not covered, it is basically an elective procedure like plastic surgery. That would not go towards a deductible.
You can check to see if the meds are covered. My IVF was not covered but my meds were all covered. That helped a lot!Mom to

My meds were a separate phone call from medical insurance. Make sure you are asking the right contact!
