    Peek A Boo

    SO do you see a lil cell peeking behind the compacting ones? I thought it was cute..... This is our one XX we transferred.

    ( yep humor me people, I am anxious and need diversion....)

    Hi TeraDN,
    Yes, this is a cell, probably from one of the early cell divisions that the embryo did not incorporate into it's being as it continued to divide. It could be a polar body but they usually have fragmented by the time the embryo gets to this stage. This leftover cell will not be part of the embryo/baby. It's just along for the ride until it falls out at hatching. Good Luck!! Carole

    wow !! thats cool! I didnt realize that there were straggler cells that did not get incorpated in. I thought once the cells formed they all were used for some purpose . Really nifty! Thanks Carole
