    LE diet foods help!

Can I get some suggestions of foods to eat for the LE diet? I'm having trouble.
On a normal day, this is what my foods look like:
    Wake up 4:30am
2 cups of coffee with a splash of whole vitamin d milk
    Lunch at 10:30am
2 slices of whole wheat bread with mayo, 1 fried egg, 1 slice American cheese
    1 tangerine
    Dinner at 5:30pm
    Pizza
    DS Bedtime 7pm
Mommy has half a bottle of Sparkling Moscato

Any suggestions for meals? I know the egg and cheese sandwich is bad. What can I replace it with?

Id replace the tangerine with a peeled apple or pear
My favorite LE diet sandwich is white bread, sliced peeled cucumbers and a little low fat whipped cream cheese.
I also like a cup of pasta with low sodium tomato sauce or a little butter of you're low on fat.
Rice with a veggie stir fry of peeled zucchini, bell peppers, mushrooms and bean sprouts.
Tacos-corn tortillas with refried beans, chopped tomatoes and lettuce
Baked potato with low fat sour cream, chives, and a sprinkle of cheese

Why are you drinking Vit D milk-it sways blue...Can you switch to rice milk or skim milk, maybe half-and-half? Mayo is full of fat, why not try hummus or a vegetable spread-I buy a Canola one in my grocery store and not only is delicious, but it has much less sodium. Is the mayo low fat? If yes, it's a good option then. Also, skip the whole fried egg and just fry egg whites-the yolk is full of cholesterol and goes hand in hand with testosterone.

What are your calories, protein and fat grams totaling? If you're not going over LE level, none of the stuff you're eating is bad. Atomic's been scolding a lot of us for being under on calories, fat or protein, and a lot of us have dropped watching salt because it doesn't really seem to matter and makes the diet a lot more stressful.

Agree that you should try to avoid vitamin D enriched milk.

Instead of an egg and cheese sandwich, toast your bread, or have whatever speciality bread you desire (I love pretzels as I dont need butter with them) - have wtih some lovely veggie soup. I would also add a side salad with whatever salad items you like. The tangerine is fine and maybe add a banana for potassium to ensure you are getting enough of that.

Load your pizza up with veggies. Again, a side salad is always good to add as its will likely contain lots of free food and will be filling.

Atomic has written a diet plan which you may find really useful? It will take all of the thinking out for you and will hopefully be very helpful, along with ideas from the ladies on this board.

There are NO bad foods or good foods on LE Diet. It is the limits of the diet that matter and not any "magic" foods.

one egg is not a big deal and I ate mayonnaise pretty much daily when I was swaying for my DD.

There is a thread in the DM section called "Best-Worst Food Guide" that has a bunch of foods graded on an A-D scale (there are no F foods for pink!)

I do want to clarify that while some foods are better than others (such as apple vs. tangerine) you can still HAVE the more nutrient-dense foods. All things being equal if you ahve a choice between a more nutrient and less nutrient dense food, pick the less nutrient dense one. But that doens't mean you can't have more nutrient dense foods when you want them.

a splash of whole milk in coffee is ok and can actually be a good way to get some fat if people are having a hard time getting it in there.

    Great info, thanks everyone!
Atomic, (or anyone who can answer this) how do you figure out which foods are nutrient dense and which are low nutrient? (Just wondering how to effectively compare foods)

as a general rule lighter colored foods are less nutritious than darker/brighter colored ones.
