It was rough from a body image perspective, kwim? But it didn't take too long for my tummy to trim way down - I even had to order a smaller splint I can still wear the smaller size now but I can def tell that my belly wants to open that diastasis back up again.

I hurt SOOOOO bad after Honor was born at where the diastasis was biggest and my midwife actually told me then that it was there - she felt it with her fingers and showed me where it was widest and why I was in pain. I found Julie Tupler's info after that. I think most midwives/obstetricians know that the separation happens but don't realize it can usually be healed *without* surgery... so they don't tell moms about it.

I have a love/hate relationship with the splint. I like it because even though it's not a tummy trimmer, it trims up the tummy while "in progress." I also remember to do the Tuplers MUCH better when I'm wearing it. It takes getting used to, and I have to readjust mine in the bathroom a couple of times a day, but that's not too much of an issue.

If you stick with it I think you will be pleased with the results you see!
I just got the package yesterday and attempted to put it on at work, and realized that it was not comfortable on my skin alone, so I am kinda dreading the summer heat with a bottom layer, the splint, and then a regular top over it. I watched some youtube videos on how to put it on and one lady recommended the belly band, which I have, so I may see if that will suffice for the bottom layer. I noticed a muffin on the top and bottom, and am hoping that does go away sooner than later, but you are right, I think I will be more cognizant of doing the exercised and holding myself in properly. I am hoping it makes a difference! I have had the look-pregnant belly for a good year after both babies and again now with the swaying weight gain, and the only thing that made it better was a hard core year of working out daily. Are you going to wear it during this pregnancy? Looks like it would be very supportive with a bump!

I remember having that with DD1 because I had a serious problem with brownies topped with vanilla ice cream. FX it is a false alarm indeed!

Good luck tomorrow 5. What's one more kid when you already have 5 lol

Headaches much better now but I do feel a bit moody and slightly more aggressive.

I have a job interview on Monday for a promotion in my workplace. I am so torn. It's more money and more room for advancing further in my career. But it means more responsibility, checking emails and taking calls during family time and possibly having to work longer hours on days when I can't get staff to cover shifts. In the long term it's great for me. But my current job I can work 7am -3pm and just walk out and go home, not thinking about work until the next morning. It won't matter so much or look bad if I keep trying and fall pregnant at a time not so convenient for my workplace. The interviews are slightly rigged as our big boss wants me in the role. The hard choice women face....career or family.
