My DH took up cycling when we started our swaying days in Jan 2012 although I think he actually converted a while before that as I had been researching swaying since I was pg with ds2 in 2010/11. He has stopped all weights/press ups/sit ups completely. Sometimes he does treadmill and elliptical but I mainly cycling. Every man I knows who cycles loads has girls!
Also before both boys he used to take loads of protein shakes etc before or after the gym to increase his muscle mass! Again I stopped all of that when I researched swaying. Now his 'protein' comes in the form of soy milk which he drinks every day.

What you say makes sense Atomic, but you are killing me! haha. I guess I should plan to do all month long 6 days a week starting in March? I have been exercising right now every other day since January 1st.

Ok so my husband is a fed x driver so he does to a lot of cardio 5 days a week. However, he lifts weights every day for about 15-20 mins and drinks protein shakes every day sometimes twice a day. I have him on licorice root though and antihistamines on days of attempt and asprin 3x per week. Is the protein shakes and weights going to majorly harm my sway? I'm not sure he will give them up.

Thanks again for the helpful information. I'm not sure how much will power I have to exercise an hour every day.. do you think it would be enough to start the exercise in March if we TTC in April? I feel like I have more will power when it comes to the diet. Sticking to around 1200 - 1500 calories/day and vegetarian/LE guidelines.

if you can, it's great. But if you know you aren't going to be able to attain that, be aware that I honestly do not have the data to say with 100% sureness about any of this stuff. I just go off what makes sense to me and I can very well be wrong about anything at any point (and almost certianly am on at least some of the things I recommend!) So you need to do what is going to work for YOU personally and not worry too awfully much about what I think. If you know you can't do it, then it's better to do the doable, YK?

Unfortunately my crystal ball is in the shop and I can't totally say what is ok and what isn't!
What I DO know is that when it comes to hubbies, you have to pick your battles because when we get too demanding on them in terms of swaying, they sometimes get rebellious and fib about what they're actually doing and not doing, and some of them get so fed up that they end up pulling the plug not only on swayign, but on having another baby all together!!! o.O So my thinking is, he's doing some cardio, taking LR, be satisfied with that.

The 60 6-7 recommendation is just what I came up with that I thought would work for most of the people, most of the time, including people who may not be terribly solid on diet. There is no magic to the amount, it doesn't mean you can't get a girl doing less, and in fact I know a fair few of the people who included it in their sways and got pink, did less than that.
I have reason to believe that the 60 min is more important than the 6-7 so if you have to pick one or the other, I think 60 min 4-5 days a week is still pretty pink friendly especially if you are good on diet.
Dreaming, I am just polishing up your plan and about to send it to be posted in your Custom Sway forum but I wanted to mention that you are already very petite and I would like to see you eating higher calorie intake and that this is going to be MANDATORY for you to increase cals if you do exercise.
I prefer everyone do more like 1500-1800 cals on LE. The 1200-1500 is really for the minority of people who are either very tiny and already eat only 1500-1800 cals and get boys on that, people who have in excess of 50 lbs to lose, people who plateau with weight left to lose, or people with PCOS/IR who can't lose weight at 1500-1800 cals. Most people do best on 1500-1800 cals and cutting back too far is a recipe for disaster. You can ALWAYS cut back if you need to but it can be tough to restart ovulation once it stops due to diet.!!! dreaming- I just posted that same issue. It is SOO hard! I feel like it is impossible without getting too much fat. I could surely add a couple slices of cake and get enough calories but then I would have like 80 fat grams
