Chance of girl nub being boy 12.5 plus weeks?

I know this has probably been answered somewhere, but I was wondering if clear girl nubs can end up being boys? My nub is pretty girlie it was long and flat through the scan and nothing between the legs - I got a couple of good potty shots but I know unreliable at this stage. I was 12+5. I have just been on-line looking for chances of this happening but can't find definitive answers. Anyone experienced this or can shed any light? What are the chances I will hear boy at my 20 week scan? I was on-line last night looking at baby girl clothes and then thought I shouldn't get my hopes up!! This waiting is really hard. Some days I dont even think about it and other days it seems all consuming.

    Thanks for listening.

DS3 had a flat girl nub, tech said girl, so did on line forum with techs !!! His a boy!! Its fine with me though! I wouldn't buy any cloths and wait for the 20 week scan <3 A girl nub is a better starting point then a boy nub!!! Hope you hear Girl!!
    Hoping for a pink rainbow!

Rainbow baby that scares me! Even the tech guessed girl? What a roller-coaster for you. Was your scan at 12 weeks or later? Was the nub forked?
I guess I have to hope that I am in the majority that this doesn't happen to but another boy would be just as welcome (I just love 'em!) it's just your hopes get raised for a daughter when you see such a girlie nub.

Lolly55 Im exactly in the same boat as you! My 12 week scan looks very girly got 100% girl guesses, they say its classic girl nub, its so hard not to give up hopes just yet! Nubsessing nearly every day, just cant help it lol I have seen a few very girly looking nub confirmed boy, so it can happen but very rare! Lets just hope that we are not the rare ones! This waiting is just so frustrating and long. My next scan is 27th Feb. Ill be 19 weeks, another long 4 weeks! When is your next scan?

Andrea OD my scan is not until 11 March! I feel for you, it's torture - I think it would be better not to have the hope sometimes. I have looked through my scan vid so many times and can't see anything that would indicate boy but intellectually I know that 12.5 weeks is just so early and anything can happen. I hope you hear girl and that I follow suit after that. Just have to keep thinking the odds are def in our favour for pink

After 12 in half weeks you don't see too many opposites, but yes, they do happen.

I wish I knew the odds too by looks like nub opposites are less common the closer to 13 weeks you are.
