Stress
On IG I remember people going to get massages and acupuncture to relax and relieve stress, I think it was to lower T levels? However some of the most stressed out women I know end up having girls...i.e. reading atomics sway really made me think more about this...
I wasn't stressed at all when I conceived my boys...should I create stress for my sway? LOL, jk, kind of
Thoughts?for just a healthy baby.

I don't think you need to create stress for your sway. That can backfire because some kinds of stress can actually sway blue by raising testosterone.
Stress is a weird deal because there is more than one way to lower testosterone. It's about supply and demand. You can lower T levels by lowering your demand for T - so by relaxing, taking it easy, avoiding swaycession and competition...your body makes less T because it feels like it doesn't NEED to make as much T and can use the same raw materials to make estrogen and testosterone instead, in addition to other stuff.
But, you can also lower T levels by lowering your supply of raw materials that your body uses to make T with - supps, weight loss, and diet are the primary ways we do this. If you have months and months of uncontrollable stress that you feel like you can do nothing to alleviate (which was the boat I was in when I was swaying), your body kind of gives up because firstly your body gets worn out over time and decides to conserve its resources for survival, and also because historically, if one is in a chronically stressful situation, that's not the time you should necessarily be "large and in charge" and sticking up for yourself, competing fiercely, etc. It's prob. best for survival to just keep your head down and avoid notice, so your body may lower T as a result.

This has got me thinking. I am quite a stressed out person - my hubby can really grate on me over little things so I flip out for no reason. I am losing loads of weight trying loads of stuff to relax me but still finding nothing works too much, especially after OV as I get really bad PMT. Atomic do you think this will really go against me? I have booked an aromatherapy massage on the day of my attempt as I want to try to be as de-stressed as possible, but will around OV/week before be too late? I am trying so hard but with the day to day running of the house I get quite stressed & I am finding it hard not flip out so easil y (its funny because when at work etc I am not particularly stressed at all)

I have always had a fairly high stress/high anxiety life. I have two boys. I didn't become obviously PCOS/high testosterone until after my 2nd son and a few months into breastfeeding. I tend to have a type A personality, but try to balance it because too much of one thing is not good. My husband is very type B. He has taught me to take deep breaths and refocus when I feel the testosterone and anxiety rising.
I think the competition aspect is difficult. I have felt this personally quite a bit since the miscarriage and I know my extra testosterone is not helping me reign it in. I'm considering daily massages (from DH of course) from CD 1 and then right before a sway so I can feel as relaxed as possible. I'm still considering yoga, too. I already do Pilates, but I think I need to do more.
If you feel you can relax enough about life, despite whatever is going on around you, that would probably be really good for you! It's healthier in general, too.Just don't make drama or stress on purpose. I agree with AS that it will probably make your testosterone levels higher. Testosterone and anxiety are BFFs.

I think that getting stressed about having stress is a step in the wrong direction!!
None of us can control every aspect of stress in life. Reducing stress in swaying is about avoiding unneccesary stuff that you CAN control, like entering competitions and getting so worked up over the "perfect" sway that you raise your T levels. The regular day to day stuff, please just let that go without worrying because we ALL have that sort of business going on all the time, boy moms and girl moms alike.
You may find that the diet and supps help.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I was never really stressed with my girls at all. I don't tend to get stressed about anything to be honest. My work now is a lot more stressful than I have ever had....but I tend not to stress too much.

You can lower testosterone BOTH by having no stress and having excessive stress. Both ways work.
