Just getting started....some questions!!
Hello! I am a mom of 3 boys.
I plan to try LE diet and exercise, not sure about the replens/rephresh, and maybe vitex and saw palmetto. Should I get my hubby to take supplements too? Also, I had to take clomid to get pregnant with #2. With #3 I think the aspirin and B6 helped me get pregnant- but I spotted and my progesterone was so low they told me miscarriage was 50/50. I had to take progesterone supplements for the first 12 weeks. I have a short luteal phase (9-10 days) so I am wondering if low progesterone is a problem for me. At any rate, I think my doctor would prescribe clomid again if I asked....although I'm almost 35 so I'm not sure if age would be a factor. Any thoughts on whether I should try first without clomid or try to get clomid from the start?Last edited by Com1111; November 18th, 2016 at 12:46 PM.

please give me a chance to answer before you bump, I answer from oldest to newest and so when you bump your post, it goes back to the "new" posts and make s it take that much longer. If it's been longer than a week, then yes do bump, but it does take me 5-7 days sometimes to get thru all the posts.
Can you get Clomid again?? That is by far and away one of our best tactics. Even though you can get a boy on it as you know, it's very consistent for us. If you really think your doc would prescribe it, I strongly recommend you do so.
Leave out vitex and SP till you know if you can get the Clomid.
I think b6 sways strongly blue and I got one of my 4 boys taking it. Clomid is way, way better than b6 for low progesterone anyway.
The jellies like RepHresh are not working and so I'd skip them, especially if you are going onto Clomid. If you must use them, do it only the first month or two maximum and then drop it.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you so much for your reply. I do think I could probably get clomid again due to my low progesterone and short luteal phase issues. I don't see my doc until March though, so maybe I will wait until then to try. I tried to start the diet and feel miserable. Haha! I have lost about 10 lbs in the last 6 months and skip breakfast already. My current bmi is 19, so I don't have much more that I could lose. I usually eat light for lunch....but high fat, calories, and sodium for dinner. I also don't know how to survive without coffee with cream and sugar in the morning. It seems to be the only way I can skip breakfast. So I probably have some details to sort out before trying for #4. I have been tracking my cycles and found that I ovulated early this cycle which has me nervous as we weren't safe the week before so we dtd about 5 days before ovulation. This happened with baby boy #3 - although we dtd day before positive opk with him. I don't know, I believe in God, and know that our children our blessings from him. I have prayed that he lead me in the right direction to hopefully add a daughter to our beautiful family. I will try what I can.....but know in my heart it is in his hands. Thanks again for taking the time to answe my questions.

You cannot lose any more weight. You need to hold steady where you are at. 18.5 is my absolute minimum cutoff for weight loss and anyone under 21 BMI needs to hold steady on weight.
Personally, I chose to "cheat" and have coffee with milk, sugar (real sugar) in the morning. While this is not my recommendation for the general public, I wasn't willing to go without it - and I still got a girl. ALL of us are doing coffee with milk or cream in the morning (unsweetened or artificially sweetened) so that is perfectly fine, and if the sugar is nonnegotiable for you, that is totally your call to make. It is very different than eating a full English breakfast!
You are not supposed to feel miserable on the diet, most of the time when this is the case it is because people have a fundamental misconception of what the diet is supposed to be. Can you please tell me what you're eating, and I'll tell you some ideas on how to change that so you are able to stick with it??!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Great! I am happy to hear that I can have my coffee. It looks like the more caffeine the better? Would diet coke be good as well? I am could drop the sugar....most days anyway...but some cream or milk in my coffee would be nice.
I have been trying to stay in the levels you have listed in your recommendations. I think the main thing is that I go over on fat and sodium. Apparently I love high fat and high sodium food (I also happen to LOVE potatoes)!! Take-out is a staple in my home (Thai food, mexican food, and Chinese food quite often).
So I change up what I eat everyday, but have a hard time staying in the suggested ranges. The days I do well on the LE diet I have coffee for breakfast. For lunch I mostly eat light yogurt, cheese, berries or apples, a bagel with melted cheese, or cheese melted in a tortilla. For dinner I eat cheese melted in a tortilla, pasta with light cheese sauce, soup made with low sodium broth - some chicken, noodles, and carrots, or a sandwich with mayo or cream cheese and cucumbers. I also always have a drink or two (or three on the weekend) of either beer, wine, or cranberry vodka (are those okay?). And I have some chocolate or a cookie/sweet treat every day. I can definitely see why I have boys if it is based on having a lot of nutrition....since this is nothing like my normal diet. I love potatoes, tomatoes, avocados, lots and lots of cheese, anything really salty and spicy, and a burger every once in awhile.
Also, I see that exercise is important as well. Do you think this would be a good thing for me to start? Or would I need to add more calories in order to not lose weight?
Thank you, thank you, thank you for any and all advice! It is much appreciated!!!

We don't totally know if it is caffeine or coffee itself or both.
Re sodium, most of us totally have given up on that and our results have only gone UP. I got my girl without limiting sodium at all after getting my 4th boy while limiting it. It's something I keep in the mix just because it is possible, but boy oh boy it's so much easier to stick to the diet without that!!
Re fat - focus mostly on vegetable sourced fats and you may be able to get away with exceeding the limits. anything up to 60 g is totally allowed, though.
exercise has been so effective that I generally recommend eating more in order to add it in.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
