    Exercise and other bits

I've recently put on weight which I want to loose and am buying bits to do the girl diet as close as I can. I'm wondering tho about exercise I can't commit to 1+ hour 6-7 days a week because of demands from children, dp and college, so what do I do? I'd like to do exercise as it lowers my stress levels and makes me feel good, having read it sways towards boys worries me tho! Do you think it's ok to go with what I can, probably an hour 3 times a week.

Also I'm not a lover of milk, the only way I can think of adding it to my diet In decent amounts is to add it to ready brek, is that ok?

Has anyone found a low sodium substitute of cheddar cheese? I love my cheddar but it's packed with salt!

How much weight is put on ions in a sway? I can add things like lavender oils, Rose quartz jewelery, walking dog in wind etc but I don't think I can justify spending out on air purifiers, and lamps etc.

Hi Kell if your doing the IG diet then you can have parmisan cheese. I get it pre grated from tesco to sprinkle it over pasta and rice as it's the only thing in the diet that has some sort of nice savoury flavour to it. Plus I love salt and used to put in on everything. Your allowed a few tablespoons a day.

To be honest the girl diet is brutal it's so bland and boring as the choice of foods is so small.

Cardio sways girl and weights/muscle building exercise sway boy. So anything that raises you heart rate like running would be good.

I'm only doing things like rose quartz, bees wax candles, lavender and those negative ion panty liners by anion. I've seen sways where people have gone crazy with the ions with massive water features in their house and still had a boy!

Ready brek isn't on the girl diet but no salt rice crispies style cereal is ok. Do you like smoothies? made with strawberry yoghurt and milk? Or you could make rice pudding with splenda and milk and a little vanilla. Or a cheese sauce with milk, flour and no salt butter and parmesan. You could also just try and eat lots of low fat yoghurt if you 'd find that easier.

To be honest I try and keep my meals as bland as possible to keep my blood sugar low. So if I eat eggs I won't mix them with carbs. If I eat carbs I try and keep it quite plain not much protein.

If you stick to the girl diet i'm sure your loose weight quickly as you have to skip breakfast and your not ment to snack and all the food is low fat on the diet so it's hard to consume too many calories in a day!

Exercising 3 nights a week for an hour will sway blue, so if you can't commit to the crazy obsessional exercise needed to sway pink (I certainly couldn't!) then I would drop exercising all together. Here's the exercise thread:

    http://genderdreaming.com/forum/show...a-both-genders

I did the LE diet and ate cheddar occasionally (as well as other cheeses) because you can eat pretty much anything (vegetarian) so long as you only eat 2 or 3 meals each day and stick with the overall limits (1500-1800cals/40g protein/700-1000mg sodium). If you're going to eat dairy then make sure it's skimmed and not full fat and be careful not to have too much as it's very high in protein and we're trying to keep protein low to lower testosterone. I believe Ready Brek is very salty - and probably fortified with vitamins and just a little bit too healthy (apart from the salt!) for a girl sway. You don't have to drink milk if you don't want to or don't like it!

I was just going to add that you can sway to different extremes. Some people have had super strict sways and not got their DG and others have put a few bits that fall into place for them and got their DG. I think swaying is only about 80% anyway.

Also what I do is try and think of everything I did when I had my boys and try and do the oposite.
I love salt, always ate breakfast, I'm a vegetarian so eat quite a few potatoes in a week, roast baked chipped etc.
Also I ate loads of fruit including bananas. Lots of tomato sauces on pasta. etc. We dtd maybe every other day so getting DP to abstain.

I'm doing The iG diet because I found out about swaying from there. I like the idea of the LE diet which I only found about when I joined GD a few weeks ago and seems much cheaper and easier than the IG diet as no supliments and far more choice of foods and you can eat SWEETS! But It's too close to how ate when I had my boys so IG works better for me.

    Thanks guys!
Zanacal the stuff I have is sainsburys own which has trace of salt so the only salt in the meal would be from milk (Jesus can't believe there's sodium in milk lol) but the vitamin part could be right, I'll probably have to leave that for the kids then!
I'll take a look at the exercise threat, thank you!
Lavenderlime I wish I could remember what I was doing food wise when I conceived ds1 and 2 I guess my diet
Was pretty unhealthy so healthy will hopefully help the sway! I looked at ig diet and wow I don't think I'll be able to stick to that!
I'll probably have to look at the LE in more detail! I'm not planning on actually swaying until after Christmas so thought of I gradually reduce my protein, fat and vitamin intake by the time I get to be strict I should have lost a little weight and not be so daunted by the changes. My sodium intake is usually around 1000-1500 so I don't see a problem reducing it.
Thanks for the cheese help lol! I might have to look at smoothies again thanks!

Good luck Kell (that's my name too btw!).

Just one thing, you don't want to be eating healthily for a girl sway because you want your body to think times are hard and that a girl would stand a better chance of survival (boys take more resources to raise to be strong and healthy to provide you with grandchildren!). That's why we try to keep nutrients low and eat white bread/rice/pasta and leave the healthy wholegrain versions for the blue swayers! The difference, I'm guessing, to the diet you were eating before is that you'll eat less healthily but also less overall - and those 'white' foods will keep your blood sugar levels low by causing it to crash shortly after you've eaten.

1)I personally believe that 1 hour a day, 3 days a week, is not enough and has the potential to sway blue. Some people can get away with it, others can't, and I just don't feel good about recommending that, sorry!!!

2)If "ready brek" is a kind of fortified meal replacing shake, then it's not ok. You are trying to lower your nutrient intake and caloric intake if the "ready brek" has a lot of protein, vitamins, minerals, not to mention calories, then that is a step in the wrong direction. I would rather see you forgo milk all together than drink a fortified shake.

3)You may find that if you use just a tiny bit of cheddar, you will get the flavor you love without the fat, calories, protein, nutrients, and sodium of using a lot of it. (I found low sodium cheese to be worse than nothing!!) Remember, it's not just the sodium that should concern you...in fact, the sodium probably sways less than protein, fat, overall nutrients, and calories do.

4)I put NO stock into ions at all whatsoever and I think you should save your money!! If it's fun to you to include the cheap stuff, go for it, but PLEASE do not invest hard-earned money in anything.

There is a TON of sodium in milk.

"Healthy" sways blue. I'm sorry, I feel like I'm pooping on everything you say but I'm sure you would rather know than not know. It all depends on how you define "healthy" though. A lowfat, lower calorie diet with most calories from carbs rather than protein and fat, is actually very good for health and that sways PINK, not blue.

In our Dream Members section, we have two other diets that are easier to stick to than IG. We have the French Gender Diet and also my Low Everything diet.

Oh and PS, I forgot to mention that really, it's best not to have breakfast if you can bear it. You'll keep your blood sugar levels lower for longer that way.

    1) Parmesan also allowed on LE Diet.

2)Cardio does NOT sway pink and weight lifting does NOT sway blue, that is a misguided attempt to oversimplify something that is very complicated and people can ruin their sway that way. Shrinking muscle sways pink and growing muscle sways blue. You can grow muscle doing cardio and shrink it overtraining with weights. The rule of thumb is, "Shrinking muscle/losing weight on a low protein, low fat, low calorie diet sways pink, while growing muscle/gaining weight on a high protein, higher fat, higher calorie diet sways blue."

I advise that people should either exercise a LOT for pink or else not at all. So 6-7 days, 60 minutes minimum, or else not exercise at all, while losing weight eating less protein, fat and calories. Exercising in moderation, whether it's cardio or not, helps build and maintain muscle and that will sway blue.

    3) Blandness has nothing to do with blood sugar. To keep blood sugar lower, 1)skip breakfast if you can 2) don't snack 3) eat only when you are actually hungry 4)don't eat great big huge meals that take forever to digest 5) eat 2-3 meals a day. You can eat whatever combo of foods you like to eat at your meals, just be sure to not snack between meals and let your food digest to the point you're actualy hungry before eating again.

4)I really prefer that people not include large amounts of whole eggs. I know they are allowed on IG but they are loaded with nutrients, protein, fat, and worse, cholesterol, which is the building block your body uses to make testosterone and estrogen from. Use egg white and keep the yolks only for recipes that you really can't leave them out of (like custard)
