Meeks that is sooooo far away so the extra cost of a hotel and petrol would add up as well. I think my boys (2and5) must be very similar to yours as taking them to a restaurant brings me out in a cold sweat! I cannot imagine taking them to an uktrasound office. mine only listen the third time i say anything and get into scrapes every day - DS2 has managed to get bitten by a street cat and nearly lose a thumb in a glass door since we arrived in Vietnam. Our current medical bill stands at about 600 USD for these two incidents alone!
Grace i am so sorry you had to see a girl with your chosen name. The universe has a horrible sense if humour sometimes. I still looked over at DS2 when he was born to see if he had magically morphed into a girl. I have never heard of willies falling off inutero bu i guess that is what i was hoping for!

Am3 - Welcome! Good luck at your scan in a few weeks!
Soar & Ladybugs - Ugh for the family comments!! I am not looking forward to announcing this pregnancy to family. DH's family will think we're crazy for having a fourth, but at least they won't care about gender! DH's sister and her hubby have been trying awhile for #3, so it will seem like I am stealing their thunder. Yuck. With my family, they will definitely want a girl. I am so glad I will be able to announce the pregnancy and gender at the same time...really hoping to avoid any pressure!! I heard lots of "think pink" comments when pg with DS2, and it hurt ALOT. So sorry!
Meeks - YES on the boys being hard to manage! My oldest is a controller and also just has a mean streak. Don't get me wrong, I love the little guy to pieces, but he is hard. DH saw a lot of what I deal with on a daily basis while we were on vacation, and he said it changed his perspective on DS1 a little bit (I always vent to him about DS1's behavior, and I don't think he really understood till now.) Anyway, hope tomorrow's a better day! I certainly don't have all the answers!
AFM - I got back this evening from a nice little vacay with my sweet family. All in all, a great time together, but glad to be home, too. Had a little fit in the car on the drive there about Ramzi...ashamed of myself! I had completely convinced myself it was 100% another boy, and wow, I totally ranted at DH! Really brought to light how strong my GD is! Need to prepare myself now to hear boy. However, after researching a little more about Ramzi, I think I still have a glimmer of hope...looking at pics of transverse ultrasounds (where you can actually determine right/left), the uterus is shaped more horizontally, like a jellybean. In mine, the pic is more vertical, so I think may be a sagittal view, which doesn't show right/left. Still need to prepare myself for boy, though!

Very similar indeed!
Had to laugh at the willy falling off. I admit I held out hope mine was wrong but as they showed me ds2 over the Caesarian screen, they faced him bum first and ALL I could see was balls! Lol lol lol. I will never forget THAT first image of my darling boy!

I spent the whole pregnancy with DS3 hoping his willy would fall off.... It never did! Now he pulls it so much I worry he might pull it off himself lol

That is so cuuuuuuteeeee!! Awwww bless him.. Wonderful news, well we shall see what I'm baking tomorrow, would be so wonderful as we both went on this TTC a boy journey together, shall see if its the same outcome.
My sisters will be coming with me and kids are allowed in the scan room but they need to be seated at all times, and my DD I have no idea what she's gonna do it does take 20mins or so.. So my twin decided to wait outside with her..
I'm gettin butterflies thinking of it.. My little sister has a little bet on with me. She thinks its a boy and I said girl, so if she's right she's treating us all to a meal! But I have guaranteed her I will be treating you guys tomorrow!! Lol I just know it.

I tried to keep myself busy this morn... Was very hard to not think about the scan. I was on edge when she started. I said to the tech u are sure.. She said i am sure that is a big boy

Yea ill do that with DD take her in and if she won't sit still sis can leave.. I've been rather busy with family over and what not but when I'm alone I just thinkin about it.. Hard to forget, my scan is quite late it's 5:30pm so hopefully ill be on here once I find out the news.
I hope your right about baking a boy, but I really cannot imagine it, and how it would feel. I'm prepared for a girl Ive already told twin to give me any hand downs lol..
How's your pregnancy going in general?? Is your bump any different to your DDs?? X

And i hope it is blue! My bump so much like DD2.. Carrying low. But DH has said ive put on weight in thighs and ass with this one..with both my girls i was all bump. I dont think the bump shape has anything to do with gender. Also my right boob is bigger... Its odd i duno if that means anything. Ive also had horrible heartburn this time around.

I had bleeding with my three boys! Browny red and each time and early scan showed they were there. This time I haven't had anything but a tiny bit of mucus that has looked pinky/tiny bit blood ******ed on occasion. I don't know what this one is but I hope that that is another boy sign for you!

Huds! I'm so thrilled for you. And I so know what you mean about feeling like you're dreaming... I still don't believe it and have pangs of 'what if they were wrong'. I'm so used to boys. There is so much I don't know about girls, like how to wipe them after a dirty nappy and which direction does the wee come out (our boys caught us out a few times). And girlie clothes, girlie activities....
We will have to teach eachother about the opposite sex. :-)

Awww thank u so much Tree! It still hasnt really sunk in. I think the same.. What if something goes wrong etc. I really didnt expect to hear boy. I had a good cry yesterday bcos me and dh were accepting the idea of a third girl. This will be my last baby. Dh wanted to stop at two but i convinced him to try once more. I feel the same, i dont know what to expect when he arrives. All i know is i will love him as much as my two dds. You watch ur dd will have ur dh wrapd around her little finger. Girls are daddys girls.. They get away with things and get what they want lol.

It still hasn't sunk in for me yet either and its been a few weeks!! I'm nervous about the 20 week scan. Hopefully she will still be a she and most importantly she will be healthy, then perhaps it will start to feel real!
I can't wait to see my husband with a daughter! You'll love having a boy, they love their Mummy's and are so much fun. They are little monkeys sometimes but can't help but make you smile and keep you entertained. And there is something pretty cool I think about being a woman and making a man, which I know probably sounds silly as all babies come from women but still... It amazes me!
My body ached loads last time and I had bad spd but I've got a pregnancy pillow this time and so far so good. My back does hurt a bit though and I do feel really heavy. Plus everything feels so low.
As for the pee, I think it's something about the fresh air on their willies when the nappies come off that triggers the wee reflex... Or perhaps that was just my newborn little boys. We didn't get caught out every time but it happened a good few times! :-)

Lol how you are with boys is how I am with girls (i hope). I was all bump with the boys, never put on much weight. This time I am already all thighs and ass and have put on 4kg already!! Hope it means I'm baking a girl.
Maybe the whole symptoms while pg are more to do with what's 'normal' gender for your body and what's 'unusual'?

Ha ha ha about the getting peed on. I have never been peed on but DH has loads of times! You get so good at nappy changing that they dont have a chance! My friend cut the middle strip out if one nappy and used it to place over the willy while she wiped the other bits clean. She has 3 boys and all reacted to the cool breeze!
Fitflops are meant to be good for SPD and back problems in pregnancy as the wobble board technology (who thinks of these names!) spreads the shock out. I don't think they tone your butt and some are pretty ugly but one friend in particular swears by them and wore them even in october!
I think i will be getting my cushion out to sleep on too. DH felt the first movements last night which was lovely. Unfortunately he said "who's a strong boy?" I didn't say anything but grrrrr it seems that everyone thinks this is a boy. I go through days of thinking it is a girl and then reality check myself. I will know in three weeks and have lots to do as we are moving in a week's time, trying to find bedding and household supplies, interviewing cooks etc

The morning went very slow for me. But tired to keep busy with both Ds. No i didnt pay extra. The dvd clip starts of in 2d then goes to 4d. I got 16-17 images cant remember. They printed them out and also gave me a dvd with the pics on if i wanted to print off more. They were so friendly. Wish i cud go private to have the baby. Had bad experiences with both Ds

Meeks I have been feeling movements too for a week or so. Very distinctly flutters and not gas, though I know that's not expected until you are 12/13 weeks but I am quite small and before my pregnant blow out did not have very much stomach fat at all (sadly no longer the case)! It will be interesting to see Meeks. I am team green so won't find out til Feb but will live vicariously through you. Also I've found I've been very sick this time compared to my other three and have been on phenergan for sickness, but that could be because I am ont fourth pregnancy!

I'm glad I'm not the only one feeling movement that early. I started feeling flutters around 12 weeks. The cranky ultrasound tech I had last week said it wasn't possible to feel anything until 20 weeks and so it was probably gas (also the tech who said there was no studies proving the nub theory). She clearly didn't know what she was talking about. I'm glad the Dr. disagreed with her about the nub theory comment!

Wow we have been on vacation and a lot has happened in here!
Congratulations Huds and AFY! Great news! Enjoy getting ready for your new prince! Boys really are a true blessing to their mommies!
AFM-still chugging along! Dr called while on vacation to reschedule my appt which was for tomorrow. Now I have to wait till next Thursday! Bummer but I guess I can wait. The get away was perfect! It was nice to NOT have to cook or clean and to be able to watch the boys play. Still nervous for gender scan! When I was reading all of your gender posts I started getting really anxious! The lead up to that scan is going to be so nerve racking! If my dr reschedules for my gender scan I am going to have a fit! Putting it out there that he will not leave or take off! My dr is getting older and I know he is getting ready to retire but I have been going to him since I was 16 (now 33) so I can't imagine anyone else taking care of me or my babies! He has to hold on till January! We always give him a thank you gift (bottle of Royal Crown) so I told him since this is the 3rd we will make it worth his while. He always laughs and says no worries I'll be here but all this taking off is making me nervous. Of my last 4 appts he's rescheduled 3 of them! Eck!

Hi ladies, i am about to book my 20 week appointment and have a quick question. Does it matter whether it is dead on 20 for gender / other reasons? The ob is on holiday at the moment so i cannot ask her. My DS1 is due to start school on the day i turn twenty weeks. I am kind of hoping that he wont ask about my little bump until after i know the sex so i can say "yes you are going to have a ******".

I have heard that boys weigh more in general but there are plenty of exceptions that i know of. I really hope that if i am carrying another boy that he weighs less than 4 kg this time. DS2 was two weeks early and still well over 4kg. Ive heard that bigger ones arent necessarily harder to push out but they are no walk in the oark either! Oh for one of those quick pop it out like a pea labours!

I agree I find the tummy the hardest too. I found the secret just before I began swaying and had to couch potato it... Running!!! Or jogging anyway. It's ah-mazing for loosing the tummy and I have NEVER been a jogger or one of those ladies who look amazing running down the street. I tend to look like a sweaty uncoordinated tomato and the trick for me was running when dh got home from work to look after the boys and just going on my own with my iPod. That way I didn't feel pressured by a friend with me, or feel watched. I tend to jog the tracks where I won't see many people either, that's how bad I look!!! But just 4-5km a day, 5 days a week was enough and I lost the belly in a month or two. I was also doing the calorie counting at the time but not that strict, because I was trying to maintain weight not loose.

Afy - CONGRATS on your sweet baby boy! Like I told Huds, little boys adore their mommies!!
Soar - I am really just surmising on the shape of the uterus thing. I looked through lots of early ultrasound pics, and then saw a diagram of a transverse ultrasound vs. a sagittal ultrasound. In the transverse, the shape of the uterus appears to be more horizontally shaped, kinda like a jellybean. The sagittal view looks a little more vertical, which is what my pics look like. So, if indeed mine is sagittal, even though baby appears on the left, that wouldn't mean left, since sagittal doesn't show right/left. Does that make sense? Again, I am guessing that mine's not transverse, but I don't really know that! Just giving myself a slight little bit of hope! So glad to hear you enjoyed your vacation!
Weight of baby - My boys were relatively small (and still are). They were all 20 inches, but DS1 was 6lb, 3oz at 39+6, DS2 was 7lb, 9oz at 38+6, and DS3 was 6lb, 11oz at 38+1.
Grace - Adorable bedding!! I already bought bedding...pink and brown! I am crazy. I actually was pg at the time, but in the 2ww. Walked into Pottery Barn Kids (where all 3 boys' baby bedding came from & LOVE) randomly one day, and found an adorable girl set with the colors I wanted (I wanted pink & brown because DS3 has brown accents and I can reuse his crib sheets and changing pad cover) that was on SALE! I still cannot believe I bought it, because a) I didn't know I was pg, b) I STILL don't know gender, c) they had a 30-day return policy, and d) it was not cheap! I am really hoping my crazy little whim pays off, because if not, DS4 will probably have to reuse DS3's bedding, and I will be so sad not to shop for my new baby boy! Unless I can somehow manage to sell the girl bedding for close to what I paid for it. What was I thinking?? Lol.
Waiting - Sorry you're still feeling so badly! Yuck! I am not throwing up, but feeling somewhat sicker this time. Just a seasick, swimmy-headed feeling that comes and goes. It is no fun!
AFM - Still feeling utterly exhausted. Did find out today that my thyroid meds need to be adjusted, though. Will start my new dose tomorrow, hoping that helps my energy level!

Rainbow I totally almost did a similar thing and almost brought a girls outfit in target. But I didn't want to jinx myself since I do know I'm pg, so I put it down.
Am I the only one with boys that love their dad more than their mum? I do EVERYTHING for them yet daddy is just the apple of their eyes!! In my house, the ds1 and 2 hierarchy of love goes:
1) daddy
2) the dogs
3) the chooks
4) themselves
5) anything else they can think of
6) mummy, but usually only if they are sick
*facepalm
I need a girl!
Bet she loves daddy more too, just my luck!

OMG i really hope these numbers are accurate. In the past studies have shown about 60 or 70% i seem to remember. I didnt want to find out as the stats were not great but the tech just told me without even checking that we wanted to know. I wasnt annoyed though as she was so great about my age and risk etc.
Zebanee we are just a day apart so will be finding out at the same time unless you decide to go team green. Are you hoping for a girl or boy?
Meeks, my sister lent me an excellent book called raising boys by Steve Biddulf. It explains the psychology behind a lot of boy behaviour and their realtionship with mum, dad and siblings. It hasnt changed anything in my house (!?!) but it is nice to know that lots of the things that seem hurtful are necessary for them to grow up.
Re post baby body - i will be nearly 39 by the time this one has stretched my stomach to whale proportioons and will need something like a miracle to look nirmal again. I will try running and a sensible diet along with breastfeeding which has helped me lose weight in the past. Has anyone tried those stomach bandage girdle things? Someone on this site was raving about them a while ago but i cannot remember who.
Weight-wise I hope the size of my babies wont make them try to intervene more than normal here. Going by my two boys this baby will be about 9.2 even if it is a couple of weeks early. The average birthweight here is 7 lbs so i will have to make sure i make it clear that the average is much higher in the UK!

GET A BELLYBANDIT!!! They are so amazing - worth every penny! I didn't use one for DS1 and my stomach went back pretty fast, but with DS2 I used one and could tell the crazy difference. It gives so much support for your back too which I found wonderful since your abs are so weak right after. I raved about it to my friend and when she had her second baby used one and could not believe the difference it made - I really think it helps lots and I'll be strapping one on myself moments after the baby pops out :)

I'm in the other camp. Lose the belly weight dead quickly but bum and thighs, nightmare!
I am breast feeding. I breastfed all my boys for at least a year and breastfeeding turns my metabolism crazy fast where I eat all day, drop loads of weight and can't keep it on. Think I might be glad of it this time round though as I'm plumping out kind of early on!
Emily I think it your doc said girl it must have been fairly obvious to her. I think the nub shots can be pretty accurate if you get a good shot at a good gestation.
My boys are real sweetie pies but they have been wild this summer. Roll on back to school!

In reference to the nub theory discussion. Do I have a nub in this picture? It was taken at 11w3d. I never posted because I thought it was to early to do a nub but this last article showed a 70% success rate at the 11th week. Just thought I would check and see what you all thought. I don't see a nub at all but I am also at a complete loss on finding a nub on most scans. Sigh---anyway just wanted to know what everyone thought. Nub or no nub in this pic at 11w?
Rainbow-feel better soon. Feeling tired and nauseous is no bueno!
Emily-exciting dr thought it was a girl!
Meeks-I'm looking into that belly band for sure!
As far as weight loss after this baby I was just thinking of going on the LE diet again since I lost weight so fast I had to add a Twinkie to my sway!
Breast feeding for me is usually until 12 months or so. I normally just go with the babies timing on that. Although DS2 would have totally been happy to nurse even now (20 months) but after 13 months I decided it was one of the main reasons he was still not sleeping thru the night. If he cried I would nurse him for 2 minutes and he would go right back to sleep. Easy fix but wasn't good for my sanity!

Hey ladies!!
I'm due Feb 2nd. Time is draggggggging....lol. Waiting for my Maternit21 test results...I had it done Wed...they said 10 business days for results. So glad we're taking the boys to the beach this week...hoping it makes the waiting more tolerable. Ugh.
I wanted to go read back thru the thread, but there are 136 pages. LOL.
Hows everybody doing?? Hoping to see some old friendly faces here :)

Oh that gives me hope. How soon after did u start dieting and running? Bcos i know this will be my last baby.. Im so motivated to loose my over hanging belly lol. Music is a good idea, im goin to try that. Ive never been one for running, ill have to slowly build up to it.
Does anyone plan to breastfeed?
I started by fast walking, then went further and faster slowly. Dont start too soon. With ds2 I was so motivated to loose it fast I started 6 weeks after my caserian, and it was too soon. I am convinced this is why i got mastitus so badly twice and that resulted in my giving up breastfeeding way earlier than I planned. Sure I lost the baby weight by 3 months after the birth (it took me a year with ds1) but at what cost, you know?
This time I plan to wait at least 10 weeks before dieting and maybe 12 or more before starting to walk. I want to give my breastmilk the best chance first.
So yes I plan to but have had so much trouble in the past, I'm trying to be realistic. 4 months with ds1 and 6 weeks with ds2 was all I achieved, and I would love to make it to 6 months or more but its torture for me.

Be careful, LE is very low nutrient and if you plan to breastfeed I think it would be a dangerous diet to do. You need more nutrients not less while breastfeeding and your energy levels will be shocking on le with a newborn.
ps no nub in that pic.
Atomic pointed out that studies like this are often done by techs that have been trained in nub theory and not the 'average' tech, so the stats would be better in the study than IRL. 12-13 weeks is still far more reliable for a nub shot.

Meeks- I won't start the diet until baby is well past 9 months or so. You are right the LE diet is a definite shock to the system so a baby only nursing for food would make the LE diet a major no no. Hopefully by 9 months or so baby3 is mainly on solid foods by then. I normally introduce solids around 6 or 7 months depending on their desire to maybe try it! DS2 was interested in baby food at 5 months and was shocked but went with it. Now he eats like a bird. DS1 eats everything in sight so I am hoping DS2 will catch up to that soon!
Nub pic-you are right on nub theory for 11 weeks. I just got excited after I read the article! I only have 4 more weeks to wait so I guess I should! Although the gender scan isn't booked yet! Eck!

I am planning on starting a mild version of the LE diet right away - the main reason for me is that I make SO much milk it's unbearable. I know it sounds silly to complain about because most people would love that problem - but it actually sucks. I'm not even an A cup and my boobs go to a DD and literally don't stop dripping. I have such a crazy letdown too that my babies have a hard time feeding and only eat for 5 minutes max on one side, so my other side is left exploding for 2-3 hours until the next feeding. I'm hoping the LE diet will cause my milk supply to calm down a little. I got really worried about something with DS1 when he was 4 weeks old and hardly ate for 2 days an the amount my milk went down was shocking! I'm hoping to stick to the basics, but add some chicken and more nutrient veggies/fruit. I already can't wait to get this baby out and my body back.. I feel like such a fat cow after being so slim from the LE and now gaining so much so fast!!

Thanks - unfortunately it was only 12 weeks one day and she said it could easily change. But still, i am holding onto that hope whilst preparing for blue.
RE diet i am going to do a rainbow diet. It sounds a bit poncy but it guarantees that you get a good mix of nutrients and vitamins. There is a minimum amount of protein you have to eat but other than that you can eat what you like as long as you eat the spectrum (fruit and veggies mean you get more colours in whereas carbs are mainly white). I learnt a few tricks on the LE diet like having a drink when i feel hungry' nit using butter and mayo in sandwiches etc also I have never exercised any portion control before! So i will be mainly eating less junk and slightly fewer calories. I wont go mad though as i tend to have big babies that need loads of milk - my boys havent done the classic losing 10% weight in the first week. In fact, both gained over 10% which coupled with their fair skin and light eyes made them quite a novelty with the nurses!
It would be great if we could swap tios once teh babies come. I think i am the oldest by far and have heard that weightloss gets harder with age so will be making notes!:)

Agree for me the trick was portion control. I used the myfitnesspal app and basically didn't go without anything, just ate a varied diet and stuck to a calorie limit per day. LE has taught me a few tricks too in terms of how much drinks can add to your calorie total and foods that substitute well for higher fat foods. I'll use that but not worry about salt fat or protein limits.
But again, I think I'm going to try not to worry about loosing any until I get past the 12 week growth spurt so that feeding isn't impacted. Where last time by then I was pre baby weight but felt so tired and horrible.

Noone looks at the mum when the baby is new anyway! A sling can hide a multitude of sins and big boobs make it look in proportion! One of my friends had a baby late in life and still looks pg 4 years later poor thing. That is what i want to avoid.

BeadinMom - Congrats, and welcome! I am doing MaterniT21 as well. Appt. is Aug. 9th. What were your exact dates when you had your scan? I will be 11 wks, 2 days...pretty early for a good nub shot. I guess it won't hurt to ask the tech, though! Were you offered the test by your doc because you're AMA? I am 36, and my doc said it wasn't really main****** yet, but offered to women who are AMA or have had a baby with a trisomy defect. Anyway, just curious!
Soar - Yeah, I don't really see a nub, sorry!
Losing weight - I won't do a diet. I typically lose weight very quickly after pregnancy...through breastfeeding & also, the fact that my thyroid goes nuts after I have a baby! My metabolism usually increases significantly, and that really helps me lose weight. Of course, being older, it certainly may be different this time...we'll see! I breastfeed for at least a year, and since this one will be my last, may go longer this time. :)

I'll probably sound so vein saying this but one of my biggest worries after baby is my boobs! Before having kids I was maybe a B cup, then after DS1 weaned I was definitely less than an A. After DS2 weaned I was smaller than an A again, with no fat or anything in them.. just skin. I get SO big for the first 4 months from my crazy milk production that they get very stretched. I'm so worried after this baby and BF'ing that my boobs will be disgusting! If I wasn't so terrified, I would totally go for implants! BF'ing has always been important to me though, especially since I've had such an easy time with both babies. I know it's totally worth it and I would go back and do it again.. it's just sad when you realize one part of your once decent body is totally shot at only 26 LOL!
And I agree - portion control is the biggest thing for me too. I haven't had any problems losing the weight with past pregnancies even with eating my usual truck load.. but the LE definitely made me drop it fast just by simply having smaller portions etc. It's not wonder I have boys, I eat more than any girl I know!

A doctor told me something interesting which might help your worry. He said the boobs grow so much in pregnancy weather you breast feed or not is irrelevant, they will still sag after! I was depressed at that at the time but now I feel good knowing everyone is damned the same no matter how they feed!!! And it's true, because mine were a C during LE diet and are now DD and I'm only 11 weeks pg!! Before kids I was a D so mine definitely got smaller and saggier too.

hello ladies
How is everyone?
I have a big smile on my face. MW appointment went well she took blood for down sydrome test then checked heartbeat. Took her a while to find it and we heard movements before she found it (think peanut was trying to hide lol) and she let us record it so OHs boys can listen when we eventually tell them. My uterus is up by my belly button (higher than i thought) and that is where she finally found the heartbeat after trying everywhere else lol so think my belly is more than just fat now lol although doesnt exactly look like a baby bump yet just look like ive put on a few extra pounds. She weighed me and im back to the weight i was just before pregnancy so put the 7lb back that i had lost. 20 week scan in 4 weeks 2 days so excited to find out what we are having :) x

My DH just emailed this to me from work. I was LOL I almost peed myself. I thought I would share this!
Can’t beat this logic!!!
What deep thinkers men are...
I mowed the lawn today, and after doing so I sat down and had a cold beer.
The day was really quite beautiful, and the drink facilitated some deep thinking.
My wife walked by and asked me what I was doing and I said 'nothing'.
The reason I said that instead of saying 'just thinking' is because she would have said 'about what'.
At that point I would have to explain that men are deep thinkers about various topics which would lead to other questions.
Finally I thought about an age old question:
Is giving birth more painful than getting kicked in the nuts?
Women always maintain that giving birth is way more painful than a guy getting kicked in the nuts.
Well, after another beer, and some heavy deductive thinking, I have come up with the answer to that question.
Getting kicked in the nuts is more painful than having a baby; and here is the reason for my conclusion.
A year or so after giving birth, a woman will often say, "It might be nice to have another child."
On the other hand, you never hear a guy say, "You know, I think I would like another kick in the nuts."
I rest my case. Time for another beer.
Happy Monday Ladies!

Soar - LOL LOL LOL!!! :) Sorry for the yucky nausea. Were you nauseous with your boys? Maybe a girl sign for you? :)
Nita - Yay for hearing baby's heartbeat! The most amazing sound! Only 4 weeks till you know boy/girl...yay!!
MsBlakely - I TOTALLY hear you on boobs. I sound exactly the same size/condition as you. It's SO sad. I asked DH about implants and he said no way. I was like, even if I repulse you? He still said no way. He is a penny-pincher, though, so I shouldn't be surprised, I guess. I would do it in a heartbeat if he was on board, though! What do yours look like so far this pg? I was still nursing DS3 when I got pg, so when my milk was gone, I actually looked smaller than before! I was starting to worry that they weren't gonna grow at all, but have definitely seen some improvement the last couple of weeks. Hoping for LOTS more growth, haha! My boobs have never gotten really huge during pg, but always giant when my milk comes in. Funny, my SIL has 2 girls, and I always could tell she was pg by her boobs. They would get SO big early in pg! I am hoping my tiny boobs are not another boy sign. :( Grow, boobies, grow! LOL!
Anyone else craving JUNK? I cannot get enough chips, dips, tacos, pizza, ice cream, etc. The only healthy things I'm craving are fruit and chocolate milk!
I am also feeling kinda down in the dumps. I am a very upbeat person and have never had real depression...obviously sadness and being down or upset when tough things happen, but not depression. I don't think this is depression...it's not that bad, I guess. I can't quite tell what the deal is...is it because this is probably a boy and I'm feeling sad about it already? Maybe it's just hormones? I don't know. It could just be that the summer is getting old and I'm ready to get into a new routine with school and everything! I was a part-time teacher and quit my job at the end of the school year, so don't have that to go back to...but trust me, I am NOT sad about that!! I was so over working! So, just wondering if any of you are feeling a little down and if you've had it before during pregnancy. This is the first time for me.

Myrainbowgirl-I think feeling a little down is a pretty normal emotion during pregnancy. Also the worry about the gender is something I can totally relate too! I find myself really getting down about it and the wonder of never having a daughter and I literally have to slap myself to get out of the rut that can and does put me in! I think you are feeling all "normal" feelings about now, so no worries there! Also I don't know about you but the boys although lovely are driving me up the wall. DS1 needs to go back to preschool for his sanity and mine! Hang in there!
PS- you and I are very similar in our food choices! All I want is fruit and chocolate milk. I ate 60 cherries the other day! Yikes the only reason I stopped is because I ate them all!
***I just looked at the updated pink statistics and it feels good to look at it and see how things are moving along. It also gives me something to think about! Anyway give it a look!
Thanks Meeks for reminding everyone to update their sways!

Myraimbowgirl and Soar, I'm feeling really down too... And I know I'm having a girl, my dream come true! It's so bizarre and I feel bad for feeling down when I've so much to be happy for. I never felt like this with my boys. I keep crying... And I've become so forgetful. Think it must be the pregnancy hormones, not that knowing that rationalises the feelings! Sigh...
P.s. I did get the kick in the nuts thing! I was just pointing out the obvious to take the mick out of boys!

I'm totally with you ladies on feeling down. I don't know what it is. I have waves of feeling really happy and then all the sudden I feel blah:( Most of the time I just want to sit on the couch which is totally not like me at all.
I'm really obsessing over the gender of this baby. I have a private u/s scheduled for the 10th and I just called to try to get it sooner but they won't see me before 16 weeks. I really feel like its an eternity away. I just want to know one way or another to start planning. Any suggestions to keep my mind off of it? I wish I could have just a quick peek at this baby now....

TMI-----Glad some of you got a LOL out of the kick in the nuts post! My DH was really proud of himself that he got me to laugh. He asked if he made me LOL again this week if he could get lucky! Oh geez! I'm in trouble over here! He isn't use to me having zero libido! I mean nothing this time! With the boys he was happy but this time I have had NO desire at ALL! Like we haven't DTD since I got pregnant (I'm 16 weeks)!!!! Is anyone else in the same boat with me?
YES re libido, with my boys I wanted to just like usual, this time I have NO interest. We have done it like 2 times since my BFP. The irony is I was so sick with the boys if anything I shouldn't have felt like it then, but did. This time I'm not sick at all but still don't want to dtd!

Hi ladies - it is OK for me to join? I have been kind of hiding out since my MMC in February :( but I am now about 10 weeks along, due the end of February!!! I have gotten to see our bean 3 times on ultrasound now so I feel like I can come out of hiding :) Last week at 8 weeks, 5 days heartbeat was 176 and baby was moving all over the place...and dr said everything looked perfect so I am just trying to be positive and believe this is our baby. Our DD is 21 months old so ours will be about 2 years, 5 months apart. I am just feeling so, so blessed to be pregnant again, though terrified. I wonder when I will relax.
AFY and HUDS - CONGRATULATIONS girls! I am so, so happy for you both! Congrats to all of you on here!

Glad you ladies are in the same boat with me in the DTD department. I know the more children you have the more tired you are at the end of the day so since we are all so brilliant and amazing we may have to let something slip on occasion and right now it's in the DTD area! :-) Pregnant ladies unite! Onthepond - Welcome, and congrats! What's your exact due date? I am due Feb. 26th, sounds like we're super close to each other. How are you feeling? Nauseous? Tired? I am occasionally nauseous (not throwing up), but have been so, so tired...like seriously wiped out! Ready to get some energy back!
Interesting to hear that I'm not alone on feeling down. I've always been so happy to be pregnant, it's strange to feel so blah this time. :( And those of you who have been told girl/probably girl, very interesting that you still feel down! I keep thinking I will feel totally 100% better if I hear girl, but that may not be the case. Sounds like pregnancy hormones working against us!!

I blame FR - my DH wants it every night at the moment! Argh;( it mightbalso be the boob growth LOL.
They aren't called pregnancy horMOANs for nothing! I am not sure if it is the rain, not having any of our stuff here, not knowing anyone here, DS1 and 2 behaving like animals, DS1 nearly losing his thumb and needing emergency rabies treatment after the cat bite or pregnancy hormones but I am not exactly top of the world either! We move into our house on Friday which i think will help.
If my scan shows a girl then I am sure everything will seem better!

myrainbowgirl - You are definitely not alone in this. I've never experience such anxiety & depression in a pregnancy before. I really wanted a baby, and was so upset that it was taking longer than our usual first month to get a BFP. Once I got that BFP though I haven't stopped doubting our choice and worrying about a life with 3 kids and if I'm going to totally regret it. I've also been constantly terrified somethings going to be wrong and having all these other random irrational thoughts. I'm also just so down in general, which I can't even explain why. I just can't believe how much my mental health has been affected this pregnancy - I literally go to sleep at night worrying about something and wake up feeling exhausted and totally anxious. I'm so tired even though I'm 21 weeks now, but I feel like it's because I'm not getting decent sleep at night! So yah.. all this to say I am so right there with you!

Well I had my 11 week appointment with my fantastic obstetrician today and told him we will find out gender ASAP. He gave me a scan and looked down there, while commenting that the NT scan place at 12 weeks was having amazing success determining gender and I could probably find out then. He lined up a potty shot angle and immediately when he and I saw the screen we looked at eachother, I said "I saw that" and he laughed, and asked what I thought that was, I said "it's a boy isn't it?" And he said "I'm almost certain, it's early, but I don't see that turning into a vagina". It was literally a penis length bit sticking out between the legs. I'm 99% sure it wasn't cord because of the way it ended and where it was.
I didn't ask for a nub shot because I had no doubt. But now at home I'm desperate to convince myself it could be wrong! I thought at 11 weeks it couldn't even BE a penis but it seriously looked like one.
I got no pic of it.

Hi ladies, thank you so much for the warm welcome. Means a lot. I am due February 27th, so just one day after you! I go in again today for a quick heartbeat check because I am that crazy patient :) will be sure to update. My dr is awesome so I get to go for weekly checks until 12 weeks.
No real sickness, just light nausea, no vomiting or anything...more just that icky tummy feeling sometimes. Very tired though and I don't remember being super tired like this when I was pregnant with DD (with her I wasn't pukey sick either). The other weird thing is that I am like super out of breath all the time. I know with the HE diet, I did gain 15 lbs but seriously :) my dr told me that is actually completely normal for pregnancy although I do already feel huge with this one. We didn't sway at all with this one...after our MMC we just want a healthy baby, which is what we are praying for, though we did use preseed, prenatals, B complex (cycles all messed up after D&C) and were bd every other day or so...DD was a one hit wonder after abstain with no preseed (hubby was gone for work for 3 weeks in Canada) so at least that is quite different. I feel like it will be a girl though, seems like a similar pregnancy to our DD and at 8 weeks, 5 days last week heartbeat was 176 - that means girl, right? I have been doing acupuncture and was when I got pregnant, she told me that that really increases fertility, so maybe that helped me to get pregnant?
I am so happy for all of you, many of whom I was swaying with in the past. Meeks, congratulations to you! I go for my NT scan at the end of the month though we are not yet sure that we are finding out gender besides here I don't think they will even venture a guess that early. I really just don't want to feel disappointed at all - though I don't think I will. More than anything we wanted to give DD a sibling.
Sorry for all of those feeling down :( That can be tough and I am thinking of you. Our bodies are just going through so much right now, and maybe it is a sign of all those extra girly hormones in there? I sure hope you all get what you'd like to have.

Meeks-11weeks is way to early for a gender confirmation. I've never even thought that was an option bc it's not possible to know at 11w. I don't know if you've looked at nub shots but some of these nubs are very long and they are girls! It's crazy how long they are. That's why I'm so bad at guessing bc that always throws me off. Maybe ask on here about a dr guessing at 11w and see what people say. Also take a look at the 85 pages of confirmed in gender girl nubs and I am sure it will help put your mind at ease!
Don't worry yet! ((((Hugs))))

Meeks - I wouldn't guarantee a boy either - but I can fully appreciate you feeling that way. I would try to prepare yourself for boy so that you could be pleasantly surprised. I seriously wouldn't fully count yourself out though. It's hard to know, some people get accurate guesses so early on.. others don't so it's really unpredictable! I had my 20 week ultrasound last week and when I got home I saw my picture has a line on it where nubs usually are and I'm convinced it's a penis. My husband is like "it's not a penis, you can even see legs in the picture and it's coming out of it's stomach" but natural I'm just assuming and trying to search side gender shots at 20 weeks lol. We aren't finding out, but still I'm just now assuming it's boy. All this to say, I know it's harder to do than say!!

I know it will be hard once that is in your head, but I would try my best to push that out! Or do as others have suggested and prepare for boy so you will be pleasantly surprised if it is a girl!
Welcome Pond! Glad to have ya :) Feb is a great birthday month! That is when my youngest was born :)

Meeks there is no way a potty shot at 11 weeks is accurate. There is a lot of swelling then and sex organs just beginning to differentiate. My friend was told 99.999% girl at 12/13 weeks and was a boy at 16 weeks. Please don't let yourself get too upset. Even a nub at 11 weeks isnt that accurate.
I got a psychic reading done and the psychic said this one is a boy. Sigh. Apparently he is really good and been right for a lot of people though he did tell me I was having three kids, and since this is baby no 4 I'm clearly not. Also didn't get any sense of my current children which I think is weird. So three psychics have said girl for me this time but I'm fixating on the boy.
Feel annoyed cos I've let myself out stock in the fact I've been so sick this time when it probably doesn't mean anything at all!

We don't no what it is right now well at least she didn't say. So all in all I'm just praying everything is ok. I have never had a problem with any of my other kids. Meeks - If you look at the girl nubs on the ultrasound forum, you will see that they extend pretty far...further than a lot of the boy nubs! So a potty shot that early is in no way reliable. A side view would have helped clarify. I might actually be kind of excited that the long nub might mean girl!
Waiting4Daisy - I am definitely not into psychics, so take my comment with that in mind. Please do NOT worry yourself over the boy reading!! You are not out of the running...hearing 3 girl, 1 boy is still great odds! :)
Onthepond - Yay, we're due date buddies! Our symptoms sound the same...nausea, but not terrible, super tired, etc. Except I am hoping for a girl! :) Wow, weekly checks, that is amazing. You are lucky! :)
Fourthtimes - HUGS to you! Praying for perfect health for your sweet little bean. Surely he/she is perfectly fine! Lots of false flags show up in these screenings and turn out to be nothing!
AFM - Sounds like the depression thing is a common theme among this group. It's a bummer! I just want to be excited and happy about this baby...regardless of gender. I know it has something to do with hormones, but I think I just need to work on my attitude...and as Ms. Blakely said, get more sleep! :)

Hey Meeks, just popping in!! Please please please don't look into it at all!!!!! A potty shot is MOST unreliable at this stage. You might as well be looking at your own foot and taking a guess!!! Jump out of that depression circle - honestly, it anatomically cannot mean anything!!! It physically isn't a penis or labia yet-it is just a protrusion. Boy or girl. It looks the same in a potty shot. It's the angle of that protrusion that has some method behind it. And you can only tell that from a complete saggittal view. At LEAST a wk further along than 11wks.... You still have every chance of a girl-honestly!! x x x

I totally feel your pain, Meeks. After my 8-wk ultrasound, and assuming boy from Ramzi theory, I have been terrified of hearing boy again myself. I honestly was shocked at my own reaction (crying and cursing and all kinds of lovely stuff)...really brought to light how strong my GD is. I was upset after hearing DS3 was a boy (and at that time really did think we were done), but I did NOT react like I reacted this time (when it's not even official yet)! I am soooo dreading finding out for sure. Maybe my initial reaction after Ramzi will be my worst? Hope so, because I am embarrassed by it. :( I mean, what an amazing blessing to be the mother of 4 boys. What a PRIVILEGE to raise these future men...the world needs a few good men, ya know? Having a hand in that is truly a blessing, that not many women in this world can say they've had. If I would only choose to look at it that way ALL the time, then I wouldn't feel so sad. I need to remind myself of that daily...maybe it will help!!

Rainbow I know what you mean, I am good at seeing the positives some of the time, or even most of the time, but the little bits creep in. I kept seeing girls everywhere when I went to the shops after. I was doing so well holding it all together and it's only been a day later that I'm really feeling crap.
Something that is bugging me is the uncertainty. A few ladies pointed out at 11 weeks all babies have long tube like genitals which go on to rise or tuck in depending on the gender, now I'm having hope. Hope is great, but its also my worst enemy because I'm scared next let down will be even worse.

Meeks i searched 11 week potty gender shot - and it could have been your story! It was her ob, very respected and experienced etc who predicted boy from a potty shot. Long story short, she had a girl. I am sure your ob is as sure as he can be - but it seems that the clues are misleading at this age.
Telling you not to nubsess is pointless i know! hearing that the baby is healthy is enough to open the gender floodgates! My friend had GD with DS2 and nothing with DS3 as he was hospitalised for the first month so all she felt when she brought him home was joy and relief. So, congrats on having the luxury to nubsess;) Huge congrats on everything being OK at the scan. I know you are young and everything but i always breathe a little sigh of relief when i hear that people's 12 week scans went well.

Thank you honey that's all very true. I will be good with a boy in time, in fact I thought I'd take it much better than I am right now. X

Hope is a good and bad thing , I still think its too early to be sure but I understand getting down when I see girls etc . I have a new psychologist and she did hypnotherapy with me yesterday helping my give away a lot of my desire to have a girl and pink things and I could actually go to the shop and but a few boyish things without feeling awful , hope it was the hypno could also be time I'm adjusting but I was still pretty sad at the weekend .... I hope you don't need anything like that and that you get your girl , you certainly put a lot of effort into getting her xx
I had a doc appt today and the scan results of my 20 week showed one artery umbilical but no other 'markers' of anything but I get a growth scan later on as it can affect baby's growth ..
Fourth time I hope they can rule out any issues ASAP xx

It's healthy to have the tantrum if you need to , if we don't make a space for these feelings they will get bigger and that's no good , with ds3 I tried not to care and it made my gd worse , this time I booked a psychologist for ASAP after my scan so o can work through the disappointment and hopefully be happier in the long run xx

Meeks- I'm sorry your scan got you down but 11 weeks is waaay too early. Every baby looks the same at this point and I'm shocked that a Dr. would even entertain the idea of a potty shot at this stage. Hopefully your NT scan will make you feel better. I totally understand how your feeling though-I get down when friends/family take a guess that this is boy #3 for me and they have no idea. Try to forget what you saw in between the baby's legs (I know easier said than done).

Has anyone ever had a low-lying placenta??
I just had my doctors appt. today and she said everything with the baby looked great but that they noted a low lying placenta. She said 95% chance it'll move up and be fine, but if that doesn't happen I'd have to have a section. My understanding is that it's not covering the cervix or anything, and she kept assuring me it'll likely move. I'm obviously terrified about the idea of having a section after 2 great natural deliveries.
Anyone ever experience this? Did yours move up?

Yes I had this with ds1, and a few friends had it too. It almost always moves out of the way. I don't know anyone who has had a low lying placenta and had it stay put.
In the end I had an emergency Caesarian for a completely different reason, but my other friends with it all managed natural births.

Thanks so much everyone for your kind words and prayers:) The assistant called today the appointment with the specialist is next Tuesday the sixth!
Quick question for all you with boys when they do an ultrasound and its a side profile would you see boy parts? On our ultrasound yesterday we turned away when she went bellow the waist but she went to do a side profile and it was a weird angle but I seen like a shot from the belly down ward and didnt see any thing between the legs. After that shot I'm convinced its a girl! It was a a very fast glance though. Just curious

I never saw anything side profile with either of my boys. My 20 week picture with this baby had a weird line on it so I went looking for side profile pictures to see what a penis would look like and it's definitely not what I saw on my pic. I personally have never seen anyone have a side profile shot showing gender so I definitely wouldn't count yourself out at all! Doesn't mean anything!

Just a quick update had a 21 week ultrasound today, we are not finding out gender so we didn't get any suprises there. But... I had an apt with my doctor fallowing the ultrasound and she said that a yellow flag came up and I have to go see a specialist baby had a spot somewhere in the stomach that was raising concerns. We don't no what it is right now well at least she didn't say. So all in all I'm just praying everything is ok. I have never had a problem with any of my other kids. But we are just staying positive baby's heart rate was 150.
Welcome....I do hope that all is well with your baby. I too am in the same boat of concern about what is on the scan and had been lying low until today's scan was done...and now even want to lay lower!! May all be good with your team green bundle!!!

I hope that yours moves up. However just wanted to say that my friend had one partially covering the cervix (i think, could have been covering but cannot remember- she said it was a rare but totally manageable condition) and had a scheduled C section. She said the whole experience was very calm and controlled. She always felt completely safe. The incisions they do these days are low and only yourself and DH will ever know it is there. Posh Spice and countless others actually opt for this.
I know you really really want natural however i just wanted to tell you that the alternative isn't bad, just different - you could even be all Hollywood and have your mummy tummy sorted at the same time LOL.
Iloveladybugs i am sorry but know nothing about kidneys so cannot say anything that will help reassure you. It sounds like you have a good team working on his behalf though. Big hugs

Meeks, Myrainbowgirl & Emily - Thanks for the encouragement ladies! I'm hoping it moves up like it does in most cases. I also have an anterior placenta so I've read that if I was to need a c-section it makes things a lot more complicated so that's my main concern. My tummy has only just started really showing now so hopefully all this growth means moving placenta :)
Ladybugs - I am so sorry to hear. The fact at both ultrasounds they didn't have a great angle of the baby is hopefully a plus because I know if things aren't exact it can really mess up what they see! I don't know anyone who's experienced kidney issues with a baby so I can't give advice for that but I do know exactly how you feel. DS2 had a cyst in his brain at my 20 week ultrasound which is a big marker for Trisomy 18. I literally lost my mind for the week or two I had to wait to have a follow up ultrasound, it was horrible. I went back though and the cyst was completely gone and he's a happy healthy 20 month old (singing 'rain, rain go away' at this exact moment!) I really hope you go back and get a great report. I'm sorry you have to go through this, I know all to well how scary it can be!

Lady bugs so sorry re kidneys. It's all so frightening. When will you know more?
I'm also in the scary boat as I had my 20 wk scan and it showed the bowel as being a bit bright. She said it was mild but as far as I can tell its still a soft market. Had bloods taken to see if I carry cystic fibrosis gene and to test for infections. Hopefully it will be nothing!! Anyone else experienced this?

Tree - I'm sorry to hear your news as well! I don't have any experience with this specific issue, but I do know when I was talking to my OB about how I was concerned about my upcoming 20 weeks scan a few weeks back she told me that in her whole career she has never seen a baby be born with a Trisomy from only one soft marker. Rainbow-I agree all mommy really wants is a healthy baby! It does put GD into perspective!
AFM-I had my 16 week check up today. I gained 9lbs in 5 weeks. How did that happen? Oops! Also he was concerned it could be a sign of high blood pressure. That is something i have dealt with in all my pregnancies! So could be a reason for the weight gain. Although my BP was good. Also, My gender scan is booked for Tuesday, August 27th at 10:30amCST! I am beyond nervous now but it's time to find out so start the count down! I will be 19w5d at that point! I think we have decided we will have the tech write it down so my DH and I can open it alone. That's the plan for now at least!

MrsBlakely....I wish they could have had a position better for viewing what is being counted as ok for now (the left side/kidney)...he has been giving them a good view of the right side/kidney which they really don't have an idea of what it the deal. I guess I just have to be patient til Tuesday, at which point we will know either a little more or what direction we are headed in terms of further testing or u/s.

As well as feeling frightened I feel so sad that such a special time is being clouded by fear. The morning sickness has finally gone, I'm not to big to be uncomfortable (significantly) yet and we are having a girl! I should be full of joy and happiness.
Whilst the odds are in our favour for everything being ok, and there are so many unknowns that can't be scanned and tested for anyway, I can't help but worry. Unfortunately it's in my nature to worry. My husband on the other hand doesn't seem to be worried at all.

Does anyone know how reliable 20 week dates are?
Back when TTC my BFP month I had what looked exactly like a +OPK on CD14 so we dtd that evening. Then, I got another +OPK on CD17 so we dtd again that day&night. My fertility friend chart shows I O'd on CD18 (so the second +OPK) But all my dates for the ultrasound were exactly on for CD14. I've never measured ahead ever in a pregnancy, always behind. Just curious as I was already annoyed at the false +OPK because it made an extra attempt that I didn't want! I also got a + pregancny test at 8DPO which has never happened to me either... making me wonder if the early date is actually accurate.
Not like any of it matters anymore, but of course.. just analysing my sway and getting annoyed!

Did you have any earlier scans? The earlier the scan the more accurate the dating is. 7-8 weeks is best but up to 12 is quite accurate. After that all babies sort of grow differently so there is no way to be sure. Go with your gut, and your temps!

No early scans :( I know they are said to be the most accurate so that's annoying. Oh well, like I said I'm just dwelling on everything and it's too late now anyways!! I have a friend who just had a daughter after her boy last night so it looks like I'm probably going to be the only person with all boys! When I had my scan I was advised that the earlier the scan, the more accurate. The baby can move and curl up as it gets older and this can cause later scans to measure the baby's age differently.
For example, at the 8 week scan, I was given a due date of 3 January. At a 12 week scan, they suggested the due date might be 1 January. I was told to follow the 3 Jan due date as it will be most accurate.

Ms. Blakely I was also told the earlier scans are the best for dating, but totally agree that 8dpo is early for a BFP - regardless, good luck to you!
Have any of you ladies been CONVINCED or felt 100% sure of the gender of your baby but were wrong? I am like 110% sure this little one is another girl. Not even sure why, but felt it since I got my BFP. The one I MC was a boy, which stings. I am just wondering if I could be so off being that I feel completely convinced without doubt that this is a girl.
We are totally OK with another DD, after what we went through in Feb we more than anything just want a healthy baby and sibling for our DD but I still in my heart long for a boy. I have always wanted one of each and so badly want to give my husband a boy. Sigh. This is tough stuff.

A friend of mine is pregnant due same day as me has 3 boys already even our first children have the same first name ( before we met ) anyway I was waiting for her to message me with what she was having for her oops baby as I was too afraid to ask ! She messaged and said she is having a boy how about me ?
I hope she didn't want a girl badly and is having feelings like me ( she doesn't give much away ) but its the one family in the real world that if she had a girl I would struggle to see if you know what I mean ?
Baby is kicking heaps and nausea is finally gone at 21 weeks so I'm feeling ok xx

Grace don't feel bad. It's hard to watch others get your DG and now you can both have fun celebrating the boys together! Boy moms need other boy moms too!!!!
Haven't posted in here for a while. Been away with work and now I'm back paying for it! I am a dance teacher and from teaching the last couple of days like I'm not pregnant and dancing, my feet and body are not very happy with me! My feet are so swollen when I stepped out of bed this morning I felt like I had pillows under my feet!
Hope everybody is feeling good!
Meeks and ladybugs looking forward to hearing some great news from you both soon! Tuesday is almost here!

Soar - Glad you're back! Hope you're able to put your feet up and rest...feel better soon! When is your next scan?
Meeks - I asked on the other thread, but you answered here...scan on Tuesday! Woohoo!! Yes, absolutely go for a nub shot...can't wait to see! I totally know what you mean about just feeling like it's your luck for another boy. I feel exactly the same, and it's depressing, huh? At the same time, I absolutely know that health is most important, so trying to focus on that.
Grace - Oh goodness, yes, I know what you mean! When anyone I know is pregnant finds out they're having a girl, it's hard! Especially all-boy moms. Just magnifies what we don't have, ya know? So glad your friend is having a boy, too!
AFM - I am still super tired and occasionally nauseous. Thought nausea was gone, but have felt it again the last couple days. Nothing terrible, though. My MaterniT21 bloodwork & NT scan are on Friday. I will only be 11 wks, 2 days, so a nub shot won't be reliable. Not even gonna ask!

Thanks ladies - I hope, hope I am wrong. I am literally just convinced though. Like, I won't even discuss boy names with DH because I know this is another girl. We have our NT scan in 2 weeks, I will be 12 W 5 D so I am hoping to get a good nub shot. I am willing to share all of my pink dust for some positive blue thoughts for us. Thanks for sharing your stories about being wrong - that actually makes me feel a LOT better...I do acupuncture and she told me last week that she is fairly certain she knows gender, though she won't tell me her guess for a few more weeks. I could tell though from her questions that she, too, thinks it's a girl. SIGH.

myrainbowgirl - GOOD LUCK to you on the testing and NT. Keep us posted! It does sound like we have pretty identical symptoms, though you are hoping for a girl and me for a boy. I really didn't do much to sway though, so I am prob the one that is off here. I'm excited for you!

Mmmm barely. I quit a lot of it after my MC and D&C :(...after that my cycles were so off and we just wanted to be pregnant again. I was taking a prenatal every day along with a B Complex vitamin and doing acupuncture for fertility. We did use preseed for every attempt and BD every other day then 3 times in 24 hours at O...DD was a one hit wonder J&D with no preseed, acupuncture, etc and I am also like 15 lbs heavier now than I was when I conceived her...so a few differences, but not a lot. I just feel like this is another girl...pretty similar pregnancy although a few differences. I see many that are preg with boys say their right breast is larger. My left is larger, though not by much. My urine PH is also really low - around a 5.5 or 6 so I am sure that means girl too. Only other difference is that when I was preg with DD, I craved a ton of sweets and this time around craving more salty and wholesome foods, not really sweets at all. Only time will tell I guess though I am sitting here right now looking at girl names. I really want a DS, but what's meant to be will be.

Thats a stellar sway! you did most things I did with my boys. Did you eat meat? snack a lot?
Ps my left boob has ALWAYS been bigger and I had boys, it becomes more noticeable in pregnancy as they swell up.
I don't put too much stock into cravings since i craved different things with both my boy pregnancies, and different again this time, however the old wives tale goes SWEET = girl, and savoury or salty = boy.

Hi girls,
I have been following this site for over a year a I swayed pink for almost ten months before I fell pregnant! I usually just read because I felt like I was jinxing myself by joining this forum once I fell pregnant. Stupid I know. I am due 12/25 and I found out two weeks ago that I am having a girl! After I found I wanted to join but than I felt guilty for getting my girl. Seeing all the opposites in December made me sad and I just didnt want to jump for joy on a forum where no one was getting what they deserved. I just don't understand why I got my desired gender and why others didnt. Every lovely lady here deserves it and I just feel guilty for getting my dream. I hope no one minds me joining. I just wanted to let you know that there are successful pink sways and I pray that there are many more to come!

Its the last part of my day on Wednesday and I feel so nervous!! When I start to think about it, it makes me wanna puke! Its so close. Up until now I held on to little hope but now there will be no going back after this week! Im just so scared... last baby and all. Doesnt help that EVERY person I know is just insisting that this baby is a girl. Which of course makes me KNOW that its a boy. I mean, that makes perfect sense right??? UGH!

Haha, makes sense to me!! The exact way I'm thinking too! The only people that have mentioned a guess on this baby have said girl - most just haven't said anything because I think there all assuming boy. How amazing that would feel to shove a girl in all their faces! But, we're team green and we made it through our ultrasound 2 weeks ago without finding out so I guess I really can't switch now :)

I swayed for a girl and found out Friday that I am indeed having a little girl. I was on the LE diet for only about a month and had to go off due to health issues. I was at my lowest adult weight when I got pregnant (at my first two prenatal appt, the OB told me I was underweight even if I was not pregnant, I've more than made up for that now :)

Hey ladies, been on holiday do mia. Scan on Thursday the 15th and hoping all is well. Congrats on those who have got their dream and congrats on all the snugly babies.
I have no gut instinct with this baby. I feel quite numb and am assuming it is a boy because why would I make anything else? Oh well, will find our for sure in February. I have barred myself from psychics, two said boy and four have said girl. I'm finding myself convinced the boy sayers are right though!

Ktiguewantspink - Welcome, and congrats!! You need to post your sway now! We girl swayers have had lots of opposites, so would be great to see how different (or not) your sway was from everyone else's.
godspromise - Congrats to you as well!! Will you please post your sway? Would love to see what you did to get your girl!
Waiting4Daisy & MsBlakely - Wow, the willpower you two have! Good for you on staying team green. I totally wish I could!
oxox - Eeek! Your scan is so soon...woohoo! GL and can't wait to hear your results!

Rainbow I have no idea if I'll be able to stay Team Green but so far I've no desire to find out although I will undoubtedly have a look for nub at my scan. I'm not planning to post a nub shot and certainly am not posting one publicly on my Facebook to have any unwanted guesses.
I had a dream my friend was having boy girl twins but one of them had red hair like me (the girl). I also had a dream last night that I was delivering my baby and saying I know it is a boy, I know it is a boy, and it was girl and she was born dressed in pink. This brought up a lot of emotions as Ive realised how much I really want a girl even though of course I'll be happy with another boy. It's all a bit confusing! I'm glad I can hear about everyone else's scans though as I love hearing all the news.

Booked my private gender scan...one month from tomorrow. I will be just under 16 weeks on Friday, Sept 6th. Fingers crossed for BLUE for us.
GOOD LUCK oxox! So exciting for you and congrats to all of you, whether you got your DG or not. Also, I am so impressed with those staying team green. I so badly wanted to, but I know all of the crap my DH will get from his friends if it's another girl so I want to be prepared...
