I am currently on CD 12. There is a good chance I may O CD 15-17 similar to the past three cycles 16, 15, 17 if I remember right. I'm really not feeling very 'into' it all at the moment. We have discovered dh's BP is high. He shouldn't take the Viagra with high BP. He is trying to lose weight now which is great. Due to him trying to lose weight, he won't drink the Pomegranate juice and because of the high BP, I am not keen on giving him the Prelox tablets. Goodness only knows if we will actually get an attempt in this month :(
I have been crap with my diet and almost forgot to start having my af-O supps :(

Hi ladies! Can I get some feedback about OPKs and when you actually ovulate? My OPK went from positive the day before yesterday morning, to negative yesterday night. I'm pretty sure I caught the beginning of my LH surge, so around 36 hours. In your experience, when do you usually ovulate? I know many do not test past the first positive OPK, but I'm sort of anal retentive about this sort of thing, LOL.
I was sure my temperature would go up this morning, but it was the exact same as yesterday's. Hoping for a temp spike tomorrow morning.

Belleboi,
What is your cm looking like? You could have had a false surge. It is said you ovulate 48-72 hours after your positive opk. I always ovulate the 3rd day of my positive opk.

I'm really, really hoping it's not a false surge. I've already had a few of those on this cycle. Well, 48-72 hours makes me feel a bit better bc I've been reading that O happens usually 24-36 hours after your first positive OPK. I'll just be stalking my temps like usual then.

Hey Ladies,
It's been a while since I've been here, oh like a week maybe? :) I'm feeling discouraged. I am 2 days late and still getting BFN. No signs and no cramping signaling AF either. This may be TMI but I can't feel my cervix, I don't know where she is at! I am urinating a lot! Tender to the touch breasts and craving a big salty hamburger! I don't even know my O date.

hi ladies, how is everyone? Its been a while since I posted, but I'm in my first 2ww ATM. 3dpo to be exact! Is anyone else in 2ww? And do we continue the diet while in 2ww?( I'm doing the IG diet).
maimai88
October 26th, 2014, 10:22 AM
Sageviolet- B6 if taken during 1st half of cycle can delay O . My O was delayed big time last month(a whole week), and that cycle I had added new supps B12 and Zinc. Sometimes it takes a little while for body to adjust. FX you get your smiley soon!

Last night, I was taking the trash out when I noticed my Answer pregnancy test I took on Thursday had something different from the other BFNs in the trash. I held it to the light and there was a faint faint BFP. I just thought well it must be run off ink but I went out and bought a clearblue test today and........
BFP!!!!! :holysheep:
DH and I are over the moon! Our 4 year says its a little daddy!

Anyone been on the diet for a while? Just something trivial to ask. Anyone not like pepper before but like it now? I have never been one to like pepper (I had a bad experience with Vietnamese chilli's as a young girl). Since being on the HE diet I like to have pepper on my food, along with salt of course.
Oh, I am also in the 2ww. Officially 1 dpo today :D I am stoked because we bd the morning, night and morning after my +OPK :D If that doesn't do the trick I will be concerned to be quite honest.

Looking good, Boysway! Do you mean peppercorns or bell peppers? I don't like bell peppers and I still don't. I don't like tomatoes either, but I've been eating a lot of tomato sauce since swaying boy. And I will admit I actually sort of like the tomato sauce now and put it on lots of things. But I still hate raw tomatoes -- eww, yuck! lol

Thanks Sage violet. I'm hoping this cycle will finally be a bfp.
I mean ground peppercorns. I sprinkle it on my food. I didn't like it on my food before. Over the years I have begun liking raw tomatoes, it's taken time though.

Boysway- while being on the HE diet my tastes did change a bit. I'm enjoying things I never did before. I'm currently taking a break from the HE diet and I've continued to eat lots of the foods from it and foods I wouldn't normally eat.
I'm sooo happy that you're in the 2ww. I love your updates and I'm hoping for a bfp for you.

November 1st, 2014, 07:17 AM

I am holding off on TTC as well, but after being on the diet for a few months..I am having a hard time changing back to my OLD habits. Definitely LOVE breakfast now & I still snack at night. I cook meat a lot more too because i crave it now.
I keep saying well atleaste if we ever have a surprise or oops, diet wise I should be good to go this time around. Lol

That's so true Midwest!
I find myself eating roast beef sandwiches with lots of cheeses. I eat way more meat with dinner. I eat peanuts and use coconut oil in my morning coffee. So different! And you're right. I no longer crave chocolate and sweets. I didn't even realize until you said that that I haven't had any for a months! Before, I would crave sweets daily. Good observation, Boysway! I still don't eat breakfast though LOL! It was very hard for me to eat it while on the HE diet, I had to force it down.
DD2 operation is about 6 week's away.

True Blue- SAME. I was SO certain & so sure. We even ended up TTC a few times in September & then I freaked out & was so relieved when I got my period. I went to Target today, (target is a MAJOR baby boy fever trigger for me) & I was super sad seeing all of the baby boy stuff... but not sad enough that I feel ready to take the plunge.
My kids ages have to be a factor too though. I have an almost 3 yr old & a 5 yr old... I thought it would be easier with them older, but it's like a whole new set of worries and issues to deal with.

Hey there ladies. Sorry it's been a while since I was last in. I've just mainly been popping in on my phone which is a pain in the bum to post on.
I'll be exactly 6 weeks tomorrow. I haven't really got any symptoms as yet. Sore bbs, occasional cramping, sweet foods are too sweet for me now. Nausea every now and then but mainly when I need to eat. Although, I often need to stop eating before I'm full because I just can't bring myself to eat more. I have an appointment just before 9am with the Diabetes service. Apparently my fasting glucose level is too high. It looks like I have gestational diabetes. I have a dating scan booked for two weeks time.

Good luck to the lovely ladies still going ahead with their sway. I really believe you need to be pretty sure you will be okay with the opposite gender in order to follow through with the sway. I have no regrets about trying for another bub. At the moment I am happy with either gender (especially for a boy though). I know once I see our baby regardless of gender, I will be in love.

I recovered from my wobble :)
I was seeing little signs everywhere not to give up, or maybe I was seeing what I wanted to see but my heart obviously still hangs on to the dream.
I read a quote about regretting the things you didn't try and I knew if I didn't try I would always wonder.
So we're still here :)

How is everyone doing?
After my long cycle last month, I didn't get my hopes up too high for this cycle's chances, but lo and behold I got a smiley face on my CB today! I'm CD 22, so I'm hoping I actually O this time around and it's not a false surge like I had last cycle a few times. This is TMI but I'm feeling good about my O chances because of the nausea and the big D I've been having today. Apparently that's from the estrogen surge around O day. Never thought I'd be happy about feeling gross:)

Hi all - I haven't been here for a while, but I wanted to let the people I swayed with know that I had a miscarriage. Went for our 12 week scan and there was no heartbeat.
Having read atomic's essay on swaying after a miscarriage, I think it is POSSIBLE this could have been related to cutting my folic acid dose too suddenly. I wanted to write this so that all you blue swayers take very seriously what she says about GRADUAL alteration to your supps and maintaining nutrition throughout your first trimester. I believe I just lost my tiny boy. I am heartbroken. I will ttc again, I will sway (a bit) again - but IF (and I'll never know) I am going through this because of anything that could have been prevented, then I want you all to know about it. I'm not sitting here blaming myself - don't worry - I just want to bring this home to all of you just in case it stops anyone going through the same thing.
Best of luck to all of you.

Thanks Trueblue - I'm going to focus on getting strong again and restoring my cycle. I think Atomic advises you to wait until you've had x2 AF before ttc after a loss, so I won't be trying again until Spring. It's sad - but we'll handle it. I have a fantastic DH and an incredible little girl.
Thanks everyone for kind words. What a lot we women go through!

tm, big *HUGS*. Do whatever you need to do to honor the life that was inside you. I m/c my first at 5 weeks 4 days, and it was helpful for me to make new curtains for the room I hoped would someday be a nursery. As for blaming yourself, I feel your pain. I will forever wonder if it was the Lyme disease that took my baby or the doctor's fault. She put me on harsh drugs without checking for pregnancy first. We will never know. You just have to trust that things happen for reasons you can't understand, part of a bigger picture you can't see. I did get to see the bigger picture in my case and that I got to have dd who was conceived 2 months after the m/c. I now understand my little angel was paving the way for her and making me a stronger mommy to take charge of my own health treatments. But I still think of my angel regularly and appreciate the life that was with us for such a short while. If you're up for it, look up the lyrics to "Rhythm of Love" by Plain White T's. That's my special song for my angel baby. Now a couple of years later I especially like the line, "And long after I'm gone, you'll still be humming along, a beautiful song to be sung." Sending you lots of love and prayers!
