My appointment is first thing Thursday morning so not too much longer to wait.

August 4th, 2015, 10:15 AM
I'm glad baby is doing well Mandy!!

Junie
August 4th, 2015, 10:18 AM
Pearl327 I hope you have a really good appt! I know I will be petrified before my appt at 12 weeks as that is when they discovered the loss of my last baby. But I just try to remind myself that there is nothing I can do, and the probably everything is fine and I don't help anything by worrying. But it is all much easier said then done. I'll be thinking of you Thursday!

How exciting you get to see your babe Pearl! I bet everything will go great :)

Is everyone else doing okay? I wonder how many ladies we have in here right now...

True Blue
August 4th, 2015, 01:40 PM
Good luck Pearl :)

Junie I'm also unsure when to schedule an appt. I am thinking of booking a private scan just for reassurance.

Anyone else suffering awful nausea? I'm talking 24/7. Only sparkling water and lemon is keeping it bearable at the moment.

Beautiful baby Mandy I hope things are plain sailing for you from here on in :fx:

August 4th, 2015, 09:15 PM
It did hit me pretty hard but starting yesterday I had one pukey session, today nothing so far!! I really freaked out but heard that symptoms can kinda ease up at 9 weeks..... I'm just going to enjoy not feeling nausea & hope my little one is okay in there!!

Do you have shortness of breath? That is something I've been struggling with....

mandyp85
August 5th, 2015, 06:10 AM
True, I often feel sick but haven't actually been sick, thankfully. Whether I eat or don't eat the sick feeling is pretty much always there :-/

Ash, I suffer with asthma anyway but it's definitely been worse since I've been pregnant, am taking my inhalers a lot more often than usual.

Anybody having any cravings at the minute? Most things turn my stomach but I'm loving fruit and veg right now lol.

Pearl327
August 5th, 2015, 06:28 AM
Crisp juicy apples Mandyp. Pink ladies or Envy. I also bought a melon last night. So I have that at home for later. Last week it was chocolate. Just in case you think I am being really healthy here

True Blue
August 5th, 2015, 07:19 AM
Ash for me shortness of breath can be the first signs of anemia - are you still taking your prenatal?
Still feeling sick here it takes over pretty much everything.

Ashforblue
August 5th, 2015, 10:57 AM
True I didn't even think about that.... I did have anemia with my dd2.... Might be worst since I don't eat meat now!

Lots of food don't sit well with me either Mandy.... I'm jealous that you like veggies right now b/c I can't stand them! Which really stink cause I'm vegan, lol!! I'm eating a lot of fruit and bland things like toast & plain noodles....

Has anyone have thier symptoms start to ease or is it just me?? I'm less tired ( well most of the time) less nausea ( still some but not as bad ) and my boobs aren't as sore.... This isn't a bad sign is it?? I read that the placenta starts to take over at 9 weeks and symptoms can start to ease but I'm still worried....

Pearl327
August 5th, 2015, 03:03 PM
I have been less tired this past week too Ash. I feel like I might be getting my evenings back very soon and not going to bed soon after the kids

August 5th, 2015, 04:14 PM
I felt woeful all day, feeling slightly better tonight so of course now I'm a little worried , can't win :D

Well ladies the scan went very well. Bubs is measuring perfect for dates which is raising my hopes for another DD as DD1 measured correct for dates too and DS was a week and a half ahead at the start( went up to 2 1/2weeks half way).

The little Heartbeat was flickering away like mad too. It is a huge relief to know all is good.
Next appointment is 4th September and I hope we can get a nice nub shot then.

That's so great Pearl! I bet your super happy :)

August 6th, 2015, 12:32 PM
Awe so wonderful Pearl!

I'm 7 weeks today. Have an awful tummy ache. Nausea has been off and on this past week. Been feeling down on myself these past few days. I'm being a big baby. But I think it's partially the hormones. With each pregnancy the nausea went longer. It didn't stop with my third till 16 weeks. I Just feel like it's going to be longer with this one too. I need to stop focusing on it.

Still need to make an appt with a midwife. I'm really dragging my feet on everything this pregnancy.

Junie
August 6th, 2015, 02:32 PM
That is such lovely news Pearl!!! Congrats on having a healthy little baby growing inside of you :)

Junie
August 6th, 2015, 05:21 PM
Hopefor4- I'm sorry you're feeling so sick, it can be so hard to think of anything else when you feel awful though. I completely understand.

True Blue- how are you feeling today?

Besides some mild headaches and a big appetite, I'm feeling fine, barely pregnant actually. I'm fine if it stays like this!

True Blue
August 6th, 2015, 05:41 PM
Junie not too bad today, nausea all day but seems milder and only gets bad in waves.
When it eases off I'm worried - I will not relax until after our first ultrasound God willing. Booked one privately for 3 weeks time.

:fx:

I'm glad the headache wore off :hugs: it's a stressful time x

Junie
August 7th, 2015, 04:06 AM
I have an appt on Monday. Honestly I think it is too early and I won't see a HB and it will stress me out (I'll only be 5 weeks +3) but it was the only time they could get me in. Ugh. I should have waited until Monday to call. Oh well can't change it now. They always think I'm farther along based on last menstrual cycle but since I didn't ovulate until CD20 it pushes me back a week... Trying not to stress about it but it is hard!!

True Blue
August 7th, 2015, 05:30 AM
I could have organized one for Monday but had the same concern - I picked 3 weeks but I do wish I had gone with sooner.

Pearl327
August 7th, 2015, 08:03 AM
Thanks ladies. We had a lovely evening phoning all our family to let them know.
Sorry you are having a hard time hopefor4. I hope the nausea eases soon.

Ashforblue
August 7th, 2015, 10:48 AM
Hope you feel better soon Hopefor4, & that you won't get as sick with this one!

I felt sick again yesterday but today feel good again! Starting to pick up on my eating which stink cause I don't want to gain anymore weight till the 2nd trimester... Feeling a little disconnected from this baby... Prob b/c I haven't seen it yet. Apt # 1 is a little over 2 weeks away & now I think it will be a little too early for nub guessing! Booooo, I don't want to change it again since I'm so worried about heartbeat...
Is anyone working out? I really need to get back to it!!

August 7th, 2015, 04:01 PM
Hey all! It's hard to get a chance to come on here as much as I'd like but it's nice to see how everyone is doing. Poor Fox though :(. I miscarried twins last winter - my first miscarriage and it was awful.
Aside from that I've only had two heathy pregnancies with my boys but it still makes me a bit nervous about this one. Partly too bc I barely have any symptoms (just pretty tired mostly). I'm still only 4 weeks 4 days, but with both boys I had such strong symptoms from the beginning. My first appt is 1.5weeks away and then from there I'll book an ultrasound. I guess there's no point in worrying right?

Hello lovely ladies

Thank you so much for all your support and concern, it means a lot! We are doing ok, slowly coming to terms with things. we bought a little flowering cherry tree for the garden in the week and buried 'smudge' underneath it.

Trying to summon the strength to start swaying again but it is hard, as I know how many months of hard prep went into last sway and I just want to be pregnant again asap! Also found out that according to Ramzi theory we were having a boy. I also just felt that we were having a boy. Ho hum!

I will be stalking on here to see how you are all getting on, wishing you very happy and healthy pregnancies!

Pearl327
August 8th, 2015, 03:38 AM
Oh fox, that is a lovely idea with the cherry tree.. Also Ramzi theory is wrong as often as it is right and your DS is still out there waiting for the right time to join your family. My SIL over a year an a half ago now had a late term loss at 20 weeks just before Christmas and in the feb she conceived a healthy Boy my now 9month old nephew. So getting a DS after a loss is possible.

Junie
August 8th, 2015, 04:05 AM
Fox I think what you did with the cherry tree is beautiful. Big hugs to you.

Boyboygirl
August 8th, 2015, 10:16 AM
Thanks Goodmom - that makes me feel better :). Maybe it is my girl in here then! My sister is having a girl any day now and she had no sickness either. Maybe with your nausea it's a sign it's your boy! I was horribly nauseous with both boys.
Big hugs Foxclub, sounds like you're doing well though and getting ready to move forward.

Ashforblue

Thx Goodmom! Praying everything is growing beautifully with your baby as well :)

I was feeling less sick but today has been bad... My boobs had stopped hurting as bad but today they hurt worse then ever.. Really painful actually! I'm so tired during the day but have insomnia at night.... I guess I should be happy Bout the symptoms since when the go away for a bit I get nervous!!
I'm having issues with my vegan diet as well... I think I've developed an allergy to soy which stinks since it made a big boost for me in protien.. Going to have to go to my normal dr soon since I've had these welts/hives for 6 months now... I would think about adding cheese to my diet for the pregnancy, but I'm allergic to cheese! I just can't win:(

Ok ladies a question ...have any of u done or doing any silly thing/stuff lately?... in terms of just satisfying ur inner soul for desired child ... As for me ...i taught my little one to pray for baby brother lol ...and now she comes to me and in her own words she would say "oh God ...brother....Amen " lol :) ...tht just makes me v happy ...i love my girls so much xx

One day i was watching a prog. abt baby delivery and i was thinking ok whatever she will deliver i will hv same gender baby and she delivered a girl and i was like :( ...oh ok thn ...lol sometimes u become so crazy and childish with all this stuff :)

August 9th, 2015, 03:57 AM
Goodmom. After my sway for DS I was telling everyone I was hoping for a DD as a way of protecting myself from all the comments of "I bet you are hoping for a boy but you are going to get another girl"- you wouldn't believe how many people said that to me, just because both myself and DH are from girl heavy families. 11 sisters between us and no brothers.

Ash maybe you are off soy as your body's way of protecting your baby boy. Too much soy can cause a birth defect of the urethra of boys.

goodmom
August 9th, 2015, 05:37 AM
Aww Pearl bless u .... dont know how people can be so rude ... May God give u ur desired child Amen...

Yes Ash may be Pearl is right our bodies are much more intelligent thn we think :)

Hi mommas, well I'm still very sick, I'm not vomiting but I have unbearable nausea. I can eat but turn off pretty much everything I eat once I've eaten it. Starting to feel we will have another DD as I am so sick.

I know we shouldn't go off symptoms but I can't help it.

I have always had wretched nausea with all of my boys. DS1, I would puke for no random reason and had horrible nausea all the time, DS2 I had horrible nausea with dizziness, and with this little guy I'm pregnant with I had the worst nausea ever! Nothing helped! Medicine tamed it a bit, eating made it worse, and not eating cause horrid acid reflux!!!

I think you have a boy in there [emoji6]!!!

Goodmom~ my oldest says I'm having a boy b/c she really wants a brother! My youngest says i have 2 babies in my belly, a boy for her sis & a girl for her! Lol!! & the girl baby is her baby & she talks to her everyday

Pearl~ actually the hives started about 6 months ago... I thought it was the supplements I went on for boy diet or the protien powder I was on but I stopped all those but my prenatal & I still get them.... For soy to affect you in that way you'd have to eat an ungodly amount.. The estrogen it produces is completely different then the one our bodies produce... There's actually been quite a few studies on this. I am allergic to quite a few things like cheese & beef so it's not out of the realm of possibilities for my body to decide to be allergic to soy... Of course being pregnant does make you more susceptible to allergies, so it probably is making it worse!! The bad thing is, soy is in everything! Of course I'm not even sure that's what it is... Won't know till I get a Drs apt!

True~ hope this sickness passes you by quickly!
I've decided I'm going to stop complaining so much and try to enjoy this since it's my last! I've noticed all my post that I'm usually complaining about something, lol!!
Hope all you ladies are doing well

Ashforblue
August 9th, 2015, 11:50 AM
Btw Pearl, I can't believe people said that to you when you were preggo! People can be sooo rude! I'm kinda nervous about all the comments that will come in with this pregnancy...

Boyboygirl
August 9th, 2015, 03:42 PM
im already annoyed knowing the same comments I'll hear over and over again too. 'Did you try for a girl?' 'Chances are it's another boy' etc. people need to keep their comments to themselves - it's none of their business!

Pearl327
August 9th, 2015, 05:10 PM
People can't help but comment. They don't think about how it affects us and they believe that they are the 1st people to make that comment or observation.
What I also thought was extremely rude was when I was out with DD and DS when DS was a small baby random people used to stop and tell me how lovely it was to be done after two or to have the "perfect" family. We had always planned on having 4 or 5. I even had an aunt who has 5 kids tell me that. I just looked at her and said so if Ashling was 2nd the other 3 boys would never have been born. She replied with-well you never know. Crazy

TiffSal
August 9th, 2015, 06:13 PM
Finger crossed everyone get the gender they swayed for. Just a waiting game until the gender scan. My nausea calmed down but got a small appetit...nothing appeals to me. 3rd child and different pregancy again....

You right Pearl people cant help but comment and can be rude..i just let them talk....

Whos having their 12 weeks scan soon? mine is coming up in a little more than 2weeks...i hear the sonographer ill be seeing is really good at nubshoys. So impatient but so anxious

True ... I hope that ur sickness passes soon so that u can enjoy ur pregnancy to the fullest ...

Its true ... i dont understand how can you make someone feel bad specially in this condition when they are pregnant and so sensitive ... yes Tiffsal u r right.. they should be left to just talk and walk away ... Hope ur scan goes v well ... oh u must be so excited ...Here in uk they dont even give u a hint of gender at 13 week scan ... But i m v excited for u :) ...plz keep us updated...

Mine is due on 26th Sep ... fingers crossed ... :)

Thank you good mum. You dont nornally here in australia either I just got referred by a friend as he was right with her...might only be 90% accurate but im going mental thinking about it everyday!! Not long to wait for you too!!

Pearl327
August 10th, 2015, 03:38 AM
Tiff I am going to ask for a nub shot, just for fun - from my consultant on the when I am back in at 13+ weeks I am not going to ask him what he thinks though as he probably wouldn't say that early.

We are still thinking of not finding out (officially) but I know the guesses I get on here will give me a pretty good idea of what we are having.

I guess I'll join the group. I just got my BFP two days ago and it was a total shock. We were not TTC yet but we also weren't preventing. I didn't get a sway started, but I'm hoping since I was still BF and not taking vitamins that it will sway girl. I'm going crazy reading all the stats on three same-gender siblings but I know I'll just have to wait and see. My EDD is probably 4/11. I don't go in to confirm till the 25th. This is gonna be a loooooong two weeks.

I couldn't resist the urge and even though I said to myself I wouldn't do a date scan, I did it today

By my calculations I should be 6w 4d but baby measured 6w I know it is so tiny that there could be variations at this time but I just never had that happen with my other two :(
I am very regular and 99% of when I ovulated hence the stress26629

Heart beat was 127 so I am assuming that pretty good

Got an appointment with my obstetrician in 2 weeks time lucky he has a machine in his office so will get to see the bub again

Tried to find out which side was right or left but I think I confused the poor tech

Congratulations and welcome babypinkno3. Wishing you a healthy pregnancy.

DreamingPink 2015. It must have been lovely to see your little one. I wouldn't worry about being a few days out and you have seen a good strong heartbeat. My DD and this one measured correct for dates (using a 28 day cycle - mine is 26 days) so 2 days behind. Girls can be smaller - of course this is not true for everyone.

TiffSal

Welcome hitme, so pleased you have joined us :)

I have my booking appointment today so will get a date for my nt scan, just the thought of it is making me feel really nervous, I just know I'm going to see a boy nub.

How are things with everybody else? True, I hope your nausea is getting better?

True Blue
August 13th, 2015, 08:15 AM
Mandy it is. I am so relieved yet worried at the same time. It started to ease up yesterday afternoon, it was getting a little worse again around lunch time just as DH arrived home with the bands. I popped them on and have been slightly nauseous since but very bearable :fx:
Now keeping the bands hidden is a bigger issue than the nausea :D

Good luck with your booking appointment :)

Aww good luck mandy! Very exciting! What makes you think boy? I got mine in 2 weeks and cant come quick enough!

True i hope it will get easier soon. Not the best feeling :( were your previous pregnancies like that?

I've had a mix Tiff from 2 weeks of nausea to 20 weeks of nausea so hoping this one will be the two week version.

True, I'm sure everything is well with your little bean, I think even from the womb they like us to know they are the boss, making us think the nausea has gone then it will come back with avengence lol, just to keep us on our toes lol.

Tiff, I think I'm thinking boy just because I don't want to get my hopes up for a girl, would rather be convinced of a boy then maybe have a nice girl surprise. I think as well its because I had two boys in a row but then I was eating a very boy diet when I got pregnant with them. Think its just a defense mechanism really, if I'm convinced boy I wont be as disappointed.

TiffSal
August 13th, 2015, 08:38 AM
Im totally with you on that. My 2 boys were conceived the same but this one was so much different. But i think like you, i cant think a girl to protect myself.

I started looking at boys names but not girls...my husband told me to think positive and think girl. Which i told him he was crazy but He will be very very disappointed if it will not be the case.

Good luck for your scan today and show us some pics! ;)

Im the same way Mandy. I've VERY set for boys, and I wasn't like a rock solid swayer. I actually call my sway the wishy washy sway lol there's likely nothing measurable about it haha

Did anybody else start feeling symptoms as early as your bfp? I seem to remember being that way with ds4, and im not sure it's all in my head or not but I have tender boobs, slight nausea, especially if I go too long without a snack (and last week zero snacking, and skipping meals! I couldn't dream of doing that now!) and also stiffness in my groin area...
It can't all be in my head lol

Ugh 6 weeks tomorrow and I already feel awful. I'm doing b6 and unisom but it isn't helping much. I just feel so nauseous and sick 24/7. I was really hoping to have a pregnancy with no morning sickness like some women do! I'm also 95% sure this will be boy 3. My sway was barely a sway at the end but I was OK with that.

I definitely think that for sanity sake you are better off not convincing yourself that you have your DG in there cos if you do that I imagine the disappointment would be more extreme, even tho we will love our babies no matter what the gender.
Why do you feel like you are more set for boys hitme? Have you ever tried swaying before?
I cant say that I feel I'm set for boys really as I got my dd with no swaying at all and things were similar this time to when I conceived her but I still feel I have no hope lol.
I didn't have a scan today sadly but I am booked to have one on the 24th Aug so in ten days time

Hi ladies! Just wanted you all to know that I am following you and am so glad you are having good pregnancies (except for the yucky awful horrible morning sickness)! DH and I have decided to drop all swaying except for LE. Plus we are NTNP. We are leaving everything completely in God's hands. So I *may* still yet be in this due date. I guess time will tell!

I didn't sway with the others but when you have 4, even swaying might not cut it. It's ok. Im totally ok with it. Im getting older and although I know I'll have slighter than higher hopes at my testing I won't be surprised or even remotely disappointed if I hear boy.

Lmao! It took me awhile to eat more and to snack. I still crave the foods I ate while swaying and still pretty much eat what I did while swaying. Obviously I snack and have added meat back in, but I haven't gained much and haven't in 5 weeks [emoji16]. My OB is ok with it and doesn't think I'll put too much more on but this is different for me!

Enjoy eating without weighing the cost benefit ratio and SNACK! I ate cereal like a mad woman after getting my BFP and still snack on cereal and cereal snacks!!

Haha I think a lot of us look 5 months pregnant already. I am living in track pants and some jeans that are a bit big that my sister gave me. I'm seriously considering buying some maternity clothing already lol. I have nothing left from the others as DS3 was going to be our last so I need to buy everything again (including baby clothing). Should be fun :)

I've been throwing up today too. I think it's all the extra mucus setting me off as I have a yucky cold too :(. I had forgot how aweful it was. Lucky DH took the afternoon off work to look after me and the boys :). Totally spoilt!
I feel a bit down about my MIL too. The woman can be really mean. DH and I are going to bid on a section at auction we like so we can build our own home and she is just nothing but negative. She's just been going on and on about how I always make bad choices and have budget tastes and never choose anything nice. She constantly compares me to SIL who can do nothing wrong (including producing the perfect PP!). I hope I never turn out anything like her :(

Well I hope all those little babies are growing nicely and all the mummies are getting a break from the morning sickness xx

You guys are lucky eating. I can but i dont feel like much and nothing satisfied me. I dont have the inspiration to cook for dh and boys (tired and nausea comes and goes) 😣

Covered im sorry to hear about your mil. Is your sil her daugther?
Gl bidding on your house. Just think it is your house your way. You are there for your family and not her.
Mine and sil (hb sister) have been irritating me everytime i see them. Lucky i only see them about 1 or 2 a month. We dont have the same way of raising our boys and consequently my boys suffers from it...but appart from that theyvcan be lovely people lol.

You will have a brand new house before baby arrive?

I'm drinking coke too Junie. Whatever hits the spot :)

Tiffsal - thank you. Yes SIL is DH's sister, so the daughter of MIL. They have serious champagne tastes. Their kids are in label everything! But they are also in serious debt so I don't see how that's better.
We won't build for a year or 2. We just started our own business last year so we have to be careful and we need to save a bit more so we can build the house we want. Trying not to get too excited though. It's quite a big section so we will have heaps of room for the kids to run around and a small paddock for some animals etc. It will be a better lifestyle for the boys.

Has anyone been buying things for the baby yet? One of the department stores has 40% off nursery this weekend and I'd love to go and get some of the basics but I'm also a bit scared to do it in case something happens.

Covered. It is her daughter that is why. I know how you feel. 😣 but very exciting to get a new house!

I started to buy neutral things u see in sale at the moment. Boy or girl it will be hard to use my boy's clothes because they were winter babies and this one will be a summer...thats the escuse to buy anyway 😊😊

Has anyone been feeling pickles at 10pm? Or sour thibgs late at night?

Hitmebabyonemoretime

I am very hesitant to step in here but I thought maybe it would be good luck. I got a bfaintp on Aug 12th and went in for blood work to confirm. My hcg level was only 9. I went back today and my level was up to 60! I am cautiously optimistic that everything will be fine. My sister is a bit of a negative Nancy and keeps telling me that it's probably ectopic. I am doing my best to ignore her (she still thinks of herself as infertile despite having 5 children). Anyway, my EDD is April 21st. I swayed girl, although DH said this was our last cycle ttc so I threw in the towel and ended up with 3 attempts in my fertile window (we dtd every day cd10-14, skipped cd15, then dtd every day from cd16-18. I o'd on cd18 ). Sorry for the long post. I hope you ladies don't mind if I join you in here. :)

Hitme were you on clomid. You definitely could get multiples. I was going to ask did anyone here take it as in my duedate group after I swayed with DS there were loads of twins.

I am stood on the scales this morning and it read 6lb up on pre pregnancy so this morning it was green smoothie with hemp for protein, falafel salad for lunch and lentil mousaka for dinner. And no crap was eaten. I also did my 1st baby bells DVD workout of this pregnancy this evening. But I think it am going to have some chocolate now before bed.

This was my second round of clomid. My RE prescribed it because I usually ovulate "late" (around cd21). He was concerned about egg quality especially after my reversal, which lowers odds of conception anyway. It only bumped up my ovulation a few days; cd17 1st cycle and cd18 2nd cycle. So, I don't know how much it helped with quality.

Hitme, I will keep my fingers crossed that you have the little beans in there, I think you have a great chance of twins. My mum had two sets completely naturally within 2 years of each other, twins are a very special thing aren't they.

My morning sickness is getting a little better, I think lol. If I stand up for too long I start to suffer and then get light headed or if I don't snack regularly but its not constant thank goodness.

Mandy, Ash and Tiff best of luck with the appointments next week. I hope you get lovely clear nub shots too.
My second scan is the week after on the 4th September.

Roll on the 2nd trimester is right. It is my favourite time. I can't wait for the regular strong movements that don't make you stop and wonder is it baby or gas, and the cute not too big but definately pregnant not fat bump and having energy to do things.

Covered the family with two girls are probably hoping for a boy in the future. My SILs all had the same gender on their 2nd in the past year and all were hoping for opposites but all 3 totally dismissed me when I tried to talk to them about swaying when I was pregnant with DS. If I have a girl this time they will have to listen[emoji6]

It's finicky at that stage - the timing of how far along you are in terms of how quickly bubs is developing can really vary within a few days!

Pearl you already got your date boked?

Pearl327
August 20th, 2015, 03:59 AM
Pearl you already got your date booked?

That is down to DH. He asked when would we be looking at the c-section happening and doc told us the 3 dates that he would be doing surgery around my due date and we opted for 39+2 as with DD I went into labour at 40weeks exactly and DS I went into labour at 39+5.

Ash I am not opting for VBA2C as it is not really done in Ireland plus my failed VBAC with DS was the same reason as DD. 3 day labour starting with regular contractions 20 mins apart for the 1st day on the 2nd day dropping from 20 mins to 3 mins apart. On the 3rd day( the day I went into hospital with both) I was only 2cm and never progressed from that ( Well I did get to 3cm with DS but I was back to 2cm the next time they checked) both times my waters broke naturally in the hospital too. With DD I was on the oxytocin drip ( Was overcontracting as the contractions were not the problem, my body was going into shock blood pressue and temp were dropping continuously over the 8hrs I was on the drip - they decided to section. We DS i took no drugs at all and was in the labour ward for 14hrs staying active on the ball and rocking my hips by the bed contractions got down to less then 1 min apart, the pressure was unbelievable and I was telling the midwifes that I wanted to push, but low and behold I was still only 2cm - and was taken off to surgery not long later.
This time i do not fancy another 3 day labour - 2 days of proper intense contractions that go nowhere. I have a benign tumour that is wrapped around my spinal cord and I always wonder if that is in some way blocking my progress in labour as none of the women in my family apart from me have ever had a problem giving birth.

Pearl you are lucky with my ds2 i had a date at 36weeks...i havent had a hospital appointment yet but ill ask in a few weeks.

In australia, if you had 2 csections they wont let me go for a vbac...i dont know how i feel about not know what a natural birth is but oh well...

Well, the RE's office just called. My hcg went up but only to 141. The nurse said it isn't looking good and I'll probably have a miscarriage. The doubling time decreased a lot. It's 77 hours, instead of the 35 hours it was between the first 2 levels. Ugh.... Now my sister is messaging me asking me what the doctor said. I just don't want to tell her. I don't know what to say to her. I am just going to go cry for a while and maybe I'll figure out what to say to her.

Take the time for yourself. Shut your phone down for as long as you need and have some quiet time.

That being said can they not be wrong? I didn't have repeat blood work with my miscarriages - I didn't know the writing was on the wall.

My doc office just called and they want me back in for more bw (I was mad saying I knew they would, and that I had asked for a second set of forms and they wouldn't give it to me). Well im in holidays until Thursday so it's going to have to wait I guess. Im no where near my doc office.

Thanks ladies! I hope the nurse is just jumping to conclusions but only time will tell. I definitely feel pregnant. The most frustrating thing is that I don't have anything to compare this experience to. I'm hoping that it's just what my body usually does when I'm pregnant. I don't usually get a positive pregnancy test until later but this time I got one before I missed my period. I am praying that's a good sign. I was able to shut my sister up by telling her I didn't want to talk about it right now. Surprisingly, that worked!

Hitme, FX it's just your uterus expanding to make room for baby. :)

True it is worth a try! At the moment I'm doing unisom and b6, peppermints, small amount of protein every few hrs, sea bands, and now the ginger capsules (purchased at drug store or you could find at natural health food store) twice a day and the ginger capsules make the biggest difference for me by far! Plus I like that they are something natural. I'm on holidays and visiting family and it is so important that I not feel awful and am able to function and now I can. The only thing is I still can't eat very much without feeling sick, but better then nothing!

First time posting to this thread! Our NT scan is tomorrow morning, and I'm so nervous that I can't focus on work. I know I am being foolish, and should (and would be) happy with a healthy baby, but I would just love it if our sway worked. Congratulations and good luck Texas, I really hope your baby behaves, unlike mine lol I think we are going to have trouble with this one ha ha.

I think people say things like that not realising just how much it effects us, I guess for those who have never suffered from GD as far as they are concerned they are just asking an innocent question, I know its hard as I struggle with the comments but I just respond by saying "as long as its healthy thats all I'm bothered about" and they soon shut up lol although I do express my desire to some people, mainly my close family and close friend who understand. It is hard tho and I can totally relate to you.

Thanks everyone! We just got back from our scan - baby is happy and healthy, and adorably was stretching and dancing all over the place. BUT it's as clear as day it's a girl. Textbook girl nub (I knew before I even asked the doc.) The doc was pretty well versed in nub-theory and said the baby is 85-90% girl. I can't say I am 100% okay with it now, but I am sure I will come to terms with it. DH is in good spirits, and said it's just meant to be!

I'm a pretty girly-girl myself, so maybe that's why God decided I was better equipped to be a girl-mom!
