Thank you ladies!! I'm soooo excited to raise a little boy & feel so lucky!:luck::DS:
I'm having way to much fun in the. It section, just bought a couple more outfits today, oops..... One is a cute sleeper that say little brother:awe:
I also think I have the perfect name already... Hubs isn't thrilled about it, but too bad!! He wants him to be the 3rd & go with tradition but I really don't want to name my kid Frank...

Please don't name your kid Frank, Ash LOL No offense if anyone loves the name but not my taste. :)

Although I love Franklin (go figure!) However my H hates it, and I don't think I would ever feel comfortable actually giving it as a name.

I have a countdown on my phone for 12 weeks to start nub guessing, that's hoping I even get an u/s around then. I'm barely 9 weeks and it feels so far away.
Last night we went out with some friend and all the other couples had girls. We were the only ones with sons. All the dads kept commenting how jealous they were. When we told them we are pregnant everyone said they guessed it will be a girl this time. I hope so but I don't want to get my hopes up. It was also nice to see other couples drooling over my boys. We felt very lucky to have our two, possibly three boys.

Don't you worry! I told him absolutely NO!!! He even goes by his middle name, lol..... I did tell him that I'd use his middle name for the babes middle name but that's about as far as I'll go.... I want to give him a really awesome first name!!

Sorry pearl in no help. But fx for you. Why not get the blood test done you far enough along for it. I'd trust that vs a numb :). So been loving my pickled jalepenos, not a prego craving I've always eaten them but looked up if they were good for you. Looks like I need to start making my own and keep piling it on.Pickled Jalapenos (http://nourishedkitchen.com/pickled-jalapenos/)

We decided against the blood test Atsaukina as it is only new here in ireland and very expensive and not covered by health insurance. I don't mind waiting and not sure if we are going team green( if bubs keeps it up we may have no choice) my next scan is 20 weeks anomaly scan.
As for the picked jalapeños go for it. My mum makes her own and keeps me supplied. I love them on everything.

Hi
Just received my bfp a few days ago. I think I will be due end of May or early June.
Wanted to get recommendations for a prenatal which has folate and DHA that doesn't have an after taste. I'm also trying to minimize the number of pills I have to take so hoping there is a prenatal that has DHA in it.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much

Pearl I don't see anything resembling a boy, but no clear nub shot. I'm still guessing girl though. I hope I'm right!
For those of you that are getting the blood test done, how are you asking for it? I'm in the U.S. and I thought it was by offer only. DH really wants to do the intelligence test since he's so impatient too. Any suggestions on how to get it?

So I just for my first beta numbers at 14 dpo and they were at 310.
Does anyone know if high numbers of beta correlates with multiples?
I took 100 mg clomid and I had 3 follicles ( 21.5, 18, 19) so that's why I'm asking.

I've read a bit about this. So numbers don't mean much apparently, but if they are way more than doubling in the normal set time it *could* mean multiples but it's no sure fire thing. Ultrasound is the only way to know for sure.

At 21DPO my betas came back at 20,000 something and two days later it came back at 23,000 something. My dates were spot on and confirmed via ultrasound. We are only having one, but I had symptoms crazy early that were pretty severe and lasted until 16 weeks! It didn't mean anything for me, but I was scared for a bit!!!

Guys, just waiting for the blood test. But already talked to the Dr and he said he will tell me ahead of time about the sex as soon as he gets the results... Just not directly so that he isn't technically breaking the law. I could know in as early as 8 days (but probably 2 weeks) I can't believe it. I'm sure he'll say boy but if he doesn't I will freak out!

Tea and coffee really aggrevate morning sickness, usually for me about 20-30 minutes after drinking a cup, so maybe if you are are a coffee or tea drinker you could switch to a decaf for a while as I would think it was the caffeine maybe? that was causing the upset, hang in there xx

Hi ladies please can I join the group? I'm 7+6 today and edd 24th April. I swayed pink but I feel the sway was not great and am starting to stay awake at night wondering how I'll feel when they say boy. I'm trying to stay positive but this is our last baby so there won't be anymore chances. I did the diet but felt it slipped a bit at times, and did far too many attempts (about 3-4) as was too impatient. This is the main thing that I'm worried about.
I am also nauseous all day everyday and it's making me feel awful. OH has been really good about dtd and says he's happy to wait until it passes but I feel bad for him too.
I have a dating scan on Monday 8+1, does anyone know about the Ramzi theory? I didn't know if 8+1 was too late.
Junie those scan pictures are amazing for 10 weeks. The second one looks like a nub but I know it's too early to say until 13 weeks. Good luck everyone!

What are your cravings food wise? I've not had anything particular as nothing feels quite right at the moment, but since doing LE I have gone completely off red meat which I used to love! I couldn't wait to have a steak all the way through LE but now I don't want one! Typical :)

Hi Bobster!!! I was waiting for you to post here :) Honestly I think we all have to remember that with swaying were only pushing the odds more in our favor. You ALWAYS have a chance of having your DG even with the worst sway, of course the flip side is you always can end up with the other gender even with the best sway. I'm trying as hard as I can to focus on all the wonderful parts of having three of a kind (and I can think of lots and lots of reasons why it would be great!) And just not thinking about it. I also had multiple attempts and just know I'm cooking another sweet boy :) I do hope that we are all pleasantly surprised though!!
Bobster
September 12th, 2015, 03:55 PM
:) thanks Junie. I hope you are wrong and have your dg. Will you try again if not or is this your last baby? I know there's always a chance but like you I feel strongly that this is a boy. I know it will be amazing to give my ds a little brother and i know whatever it is I will fall in love like I have my first born but I think I will mourn the loss of experiencing a mother daughter relationship of my own. When I think of having my baby I get excited about the thought of a newborn to cuddle again and don't really think about what it will be at first- then my mind starts to worry about if I don't feel that connection because I'm disappointed to have another boy. I'm hoping that finding out at the 20 week scan will give me time to get used to it and none so I don't feel disappointed. I feel guilty for thinking that I might feel like that and it's not because I don't want it- it's purely because I know I'll never experience the other side. I'm glad I found this forum as I haven't told anyone Irl about these feelings and it really helps to share them :)
Bobster
September 12th, 2015, 03:58 PM
Junie will you have another scan before 20 weeks to see the nub again?
I'm wanting ice too, I was the same with my first. I think it's because I feel hungover so I want something rephrehing to take the horrible nausea away and iced lemon or bitter things seem to help.
Junie
September 12th, 2015, 07:19 PM
Bobster- we're doing the panorama blood test so I will actually know the sex in 2 weeks! I'm excited to hopefully hear that baby is healthy and be able to start thinking about a name LOL. I do have another scan at 12 weeks as well. My boys are so sweet with me and at the moment my youngest and I really have a close connection. I also have a few girlfriends who are closer to their fathers then their mothers and I think besides going shopping together I will be able to have that special bond with my sons :) This baby will be our last. My H originally didn't want 3 there is really NO way he would go for 4. Plus for me personally I also think it would just be too much to handle.

Welcome Bobster! So happy you've joined us!
I feel you still always have a chance at desired gender even if you fudged your plans a little. There's always a chance no matter what, and the overall changes are the ones that make the biggest impact :)
I'm hoping we all get our dg!
I ditched coffee. I can't believe it but all week I couldn't do it. I made Earle grey tea instead and that sat better, but gingerAle is my go to.
I have my first midwife appt on tues! I'm printing and bringing panorama paperwork to hopefully get them to sign. It says "physician" but I know mw can order other tests so it should be a shoe in! But I need an scan first to rule out multiples with the clomid...
As far as cravings I don't really have any, other than I eat a lot be staying somewhat full helps my ms. I'm way worse at night though bc by then I'm just bloated - the visible difference in my belly morning to night is absurd.
I have gained A LOT lol. It's only been basically a month since I got my BFp lol

Hey ladies! I'm holding off on joining the group until I get my second HCG betas back tomorrow (I don't want to jinx anything!) but I have a quick question: I got my BFP at 10dpo, and then a much darker line by 12dpo. I'm currently 14dpo and I keep having wet/creamy CM that comes on and I feel like AF is here and I rush to the bathroom. Is this normal in early pregnancy? Did any of you experience it?

I don't think 14 weeks is too early to feel baby. I felt my ds move at 14 weeks but then nothing more obvious until about 17-18 weeks. Congrats to the new bfp's.
Thanks hitme, I really hope I have a chance. Either way this baby will be very much cherished. I'm kind of coming round the the idea of having 2 boys. I bought a cute little blue baby grow the other day with matching hat and a lovely blue striped blanket. It helps me to prepare :)
Junie I really hope this is your dg. That's so exciting about the panorama test. Do you have to pay for it? I wonder if they do it in the UK. Will they tell you by letter or over the phone?
Tatum I think cramps are worse with first baby as this time around I haven't had as many. I figure it's already stretched so that may have helped. Increased cm is definitelly normal though, I had this all through the 2ww and it's just gets more and more!
Tmi but does anyone else have constipation? I'm so bloated but finding it so hard to go. Is there anything you can safely take for it in pregnancy?
I have my dating scan tomorrow at 8+1. Nervous and excited at the same time. Hope baby is there and has a good heartbeat.

Taytum I always feel like AF is just about to arrive in the first week or so after a BFP but just lots of CM.
Best of luck with the scan tomorrow bobster. Fingers crossed for a good strong heartbeat for you.
Hope you feel better soon True.

Thanks so much ladies! I feel like all weekend waiting for my hcg results any time I feel anything I rush in thinking it's AF. However, even though I know that my tests are getting darker (now at 14dpo my line is as dark as control) I still just want that reassurance, you know?
Hopefully I'll be able to check back in tomorrow after some positive results and introduce myself more!

Yay, fx you get great results tomorrow Taytum! I had a lot of white cm in the early days..... In fact, I still get it! Totally normal :)
Bobster~ try to eat a lot of fruit & veggies to get you going.... I have no problem with constipation, but I make sure to eat a bunch of fruits & veggies everyday :)
Also, fx everything is goes well for your scan tomorrow!! I hope you hear a nice strong heart beat!
Oh True, I really hope you feel better soon!! On the positive side, glad to hear babe is doing well in there!

Taytum I've been hoping you'd be on here soon. GL with your levels today! The cm can get nasty In pregnancy lol
Bobster after dropping LE at BFp I started eating cereals again and I bought one called "shreddies" it's basically shredded wheat but it's super super high in fibre and I haven't had any issues since where on LE I was getting a little backed up. I'm terrible for eating veggies and fruit - my kids usually eat it all before I get any lol
I ended up telling my BFF yesterday - i had to bc she broke out some alcohol slushy thing and I just ran out of excuses - plus I think she'd be heartbroken if I grouped her in with everyone that has to wait to find out.... I begged her to not tell anyone even her hubby. Her hubby works directly with my brother, and my mother would have a fit if she heard through the grapevine.
I told her about the panorama test and told her she just needs to stay quiet for a few more weeks.

I see midwife tomorrow. I'm hoping she can get me into an ultrasound this week so that I can know whether I have multiples or not, before doing panorama since it won't work with twins. If everything is normal in the U.S. I can do panorama anytime after 9 weeks... It's very expensive so I'm very nervous to do it.
I'll be 9 weeks lmp on thurs. results come back in 10 days so it's juts all about getting everything done fast enough. I could literally know by October 1st!

So good to see some familiar faces in here, hitme! I'll have to catch up on how everyone is doing and what's going on since I just joined! :)
I think I can officially post - my 10dpo hcg was a 24 and progesterone was a 42 and she called today to tell me my 12dpo was a little over 100! So, the little bean is growing! :)
Background - DH and I started trying back in October last year and between then and June I only O'd twice on my own, and one was a chemical pregnancy. My OB put me on Clomid in June, and it took three rounds before this little one came along. My EDD I believe will be May 23rd, 2016, and my first appointment is October 8th (so far away!).
This is our first, so I may have a LOT of questions for you guys (I apologize in advance!). Right now I don't really feel any different - during my chemical pregnancy my nips were really sore starting 8dpo, and this time it comes and goes. Some light cramping on right side, light headedness every once in a while, a little more tired than normal and definitely more hungry. But, I know it's still early!
So happy to be here! I hope we can keep this little guy (or girl!) around for a h&h 9 months!
EDIT: First question - I think my OB office just scheduled me an appointment with the doctor they had there. What if I wanted a mid-wife? Which would you ladies recommend?

If I do know by oct 3rd I'll share with my hubby's family. That's the anniversary of my fils passing and we're all getting together to celebrate his life. It will be a good chance to have everyone together... Otherwise it will be thanksgiving - which is the week after I think (canada it's in October).

We told our immediate family at 5 weeks right after our first u/s. We've started telling friends but I think it's slowly spilling out to everyone. Oh that reminds me of a friend who announced her pregnancy on FB recently and there were heaps of "I hope it's a girl" comments. She only had 1 boy!!! As it turns out it is a girl but they were just lucky!
That's kinda why I don't want to announce the gender coz I always clam up when people say stupid thinks I'm real life but given some time I'm sure I could write something awesome and give them a piece of my GD mind on FB lol.

We also had a lot of girl wishes which i was fine with but what if i wasnt and turned out to be a boy?
people ask if we are going to find out but yes or not we still get hoping it will be a girl for you....
We told our parents and immediate family about the gender but my mil and sil pretended to be suprised because they knew we were having a girl. My sil saw on my pinterest a lot of girl newborn photos which i used for inspiration as im a portrait photograher and recently had a baby girl shoot. So they went and assume that we were having a girl 😬😠 i was going to say something but theyvare not worth it. Just makes me sad my husband didnt get the reactions he wanted from his parents....
We did confettis in balloons to pop. All the grand children (all boys) were suprises. Should of got blue confettis to see their reactions. LoL

Hitme don't think about the other people. I have been told that I am crazy and mad for having another after having one of each people just love to comment. You are not disappointing them because they are not even thinking about the makeup of your family for longer then they are talking to you.
On another note. Go for the fairy doors no matter what gender you have boys love them as much as girls. We have outdoor ones on the base of the trees in their grandparents garden and an indoor one in our house. We often go for walks on the fairy trail in the woods ( local woman makes and attaches them to trees) and they love spotting them and looking for new ones

We have elective ultrasound here in Canada that are $99 for gender only by a company called UC BABY - in fact there's a lot of controversy over them lately. We have a metro area in Toronto that is predominately East Indian and the news reports are sayingthat they're using these ultrasound companies for gender selection going in really early finding out there having girls and aborting them - in Canada! Like isn't that why you came here? So you don't have to do things like that anymore?

This is a busy forum! I had my ultrasound and ramzi theory is suggesting boy just as I thought. I am a bit down about it but will wait and see if we get a nub shot in 4-5 weeks to confirm my feelings. Baby was measuring fine with a good heartbeat which is a relief. When you've had 4 of a kind it's hard to think you'll have anything different. If it wasn't for this site and atomics story I wouldn't ever think it possible...
Atsaukina - this is normal hun, we don't pay out of pocket for our health Care, routine blood work, ultrasounds etc; so everything needs a signature. Everything is tracked, all data used. They've actually need so super accommodating by getting me into a prenatal appt so soon, and allowing me an ultrasound now (when we do one at 12 wks anyways..) so I can't complain. I'm so blessed to be in Canada.

Ash - so sorry I missed your post about the brown spotting. Have you had anymore since? Maybe avoid bd for a while as your cervix is a lot more friable when pregnant so could have caused it. I won't tell you not to worry as I know that's impossible! When do you have a scan?
Thanks for the reassurance about the early scan.

It looks flatter than my boys. I've not seen one of mine look like this before. I'm not sure where all their scans are at moment though. I must have put them somewhere when we moved. I'm still quite surprised it's not an obvious boy but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

I did something stupid yesterday and took the intelligender test. I thought it'd be fun and a way to distract myself from being set on a girl. I was actually hoping for a boy result to kinda start working out these GD feelings. Well, it said boy and I'm crushed. I know it shouldn't be taken seriously but part of me thinks this is a sign that I should just get used to the idea of 3 boys. I go to my regular checkup tomorrow and I want to ask for the panorama but I also feel like just leaving it alone at this point. Imagining a girl was so much fun and now I feel like I can't visualize anything without getting sad. I did schedule a gender ultrasound for 14 weeks so I'm just going to try to keep myself distracted until then. I know there's nothing wrong with 3 boys. In fact, I see 3 boy families and I smile. I bet they must have so much fun together. I just didn't imagine not having a girl, although I admit to being scared of having a girl. My feelings are everywhere right now.

I told myself I'd just let the boy result sink in but I've been doing some research online today and have seen that it seems to really be 50/50. I had previously seen it was about 70/80% accurate so I guess it's still just as likely right as a coin flip. I think what I'm most scared of is that if and when I hear it's a boy I will truly be shattered this time. I wasn't with DS2 so I figured it'd be the same. But this time feels more painful.

Yep you can do it later and harmony is more or less the same from what I gather; I'm not sure exactly how they tell you. This lab has online results for most of the bloodwork but I'm not sure about this test!
Myself, I know I won't be satisfied with even girly nub shot - I need to know before I show preferably... My plan is to tell gender when I announce pregnancy. Double whammy lol.
I'd call around elective us places and see how soon they'll take you. I had an ultrasound at 14 wks in an emergency situation and was obviously boy - even at 14 wks the tech said she was 100% positive lol

Pink I can completely relate to how you feel. Every time I have a thought about getting a dg I feel bad for having hope as I know this will be a boy. 3 of a kind is definitely special though. Maybe talk to hubby about how you feel to get some support from him. I wouldn't trust those tests, so many opposites and if it were semi reliable the medical profession would be all over it by now!

How does everyone get the cute pregnancy tickers in their signatures? I made one on the bump, but when I copy and pasted the html just showed up, not the ticker? I feel like I need to begin looking at this as a pregnancy and not waiting for something bad to happen! Aaaahhh I just want to say everyone is driving me crazy! So we finally told DH's family about the pregnancy - nothing about gender yet though as we don't know. MIL said something along the lines of well we were going to get family photos done at Xmas but we will wait till you DAUGHTER is born. No congratulations, no excitement. Just that! Both my other SIL's were questioning me at length about gender yesterday. I said all the right things I thought. I said that we would be happy to have either sex etc. A girl would be nice and another boy would fit right in etc etc. But they just kept pushing the girl issue. Saying things like but you obviously WANT a girl. What are you going to do if it's not a girl etc. Aaahhhh I just want to scream! It's totally like I HAVE to have a girl.

That's the only bad part of being prego no family to visit and help and talk to:( told dh we could not tell the whole prego and then send baby announcement. How crazy would that be lol. They'd think I was a mad woman. But Christmas will be a cute xmas announcement and I never tell early because that just drags out the questions lol. Told dh when he got back from his trip a couple days ago and got a big hug and kiss so that was nice:)

My friend hung up all the Xmas stockings and they were named except for one which just had a question mark on it. She put the pic up on FB as her announcement. It was very cute.

Covered you're a braver woman than I am... I am sticking to the plan of dropping $550 on panorama to avoid all that drama.
I DID get a scan! The hospital took me! So just one baby - but that wasn't what I had in mind at first all I kept thinking was please let their be a heartbeat... Alas at 187bpm measuring 9wks 2 days :)
Afterwards I had a fleeting moment of awe I wish it was twins but beggars can't be choosers :) so now the next stress is learning gender. It has to happen.

Oh no! Hang in there.
Are you supposed to get your ultrasound with a full bladder?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep - idk why but all abdominal obstetrical ultrasounds are like that. You pee all you got 2 hrs before your exam and then within 1.5 hrs of the exam you slam back 32 ounces of fluid. (Like almost 3 cans of pop for visuals) then you hope you don't arrive needing to piss yourself and find out your tech bailed on you with no replacement [emoji108]🏻

Yay Hitme! So glad you have a healthy little bean in there. I bet it was cute too! Aren't they gorgeous at 9 weeks! Sorry you didn't get your twins though. I kinda know how that feels after we lost DS2s twin xx

I didn't know that covered - I can't imagine how sad you were :(
I'm in love already - that's all that matters :) squashing the family drama, stranger comments will complete me. Lol I think I'm talking myself into doing the blood work... $550 would be spent better elsewhere but having this opportunity to disclose everything is so comforting in so many ways . ..

Thanks for all your help ladies. I'm gonna try to get over the intelligender results. GONE! :)
I had my checkup today, and I casually told the doctor I had some spotting and cramping. She pulled out the u/s machine and was like "lets look!" hahaha I wasn't expecting that, she caught me off guard. But luckily I got to see a healthy baby! Consistently measuring 2/3 days behind, so that puts me at 10w2d. I asked for the panorama test and she told me that I could do the NT u/s at 12 weeks instead and went ahead and scheduled that. So didn't even consider my bloodwork request. I'm a little disappointed but happy to do the 12 week scan, although I hate the idea of having to do more guessing at the gender. I got great shots of the baby though! :)
Hitme, congrats on your healthy baby! Glad you have a good visit today too. :)

Baby pink what is the NT u/s?
Is that routinely done or do you have to be a certain age?
If insurance pays for that maybe it's better to know at 12 weeks and save the cost of the blood testing.
Btw did you sway?

Hitme - Sorry you didn't hear twins, but great to hear a solid heartbeat! And I know heartbeat doesn't tell you anything but that seems like a high one to me! Really hope you hear girl soon! :)
Babypink - That's great you got to see your little one again! I don't even think my doctor's office will do a 12 week scan, so I'll have to wait the full 18-20 weeks or so. So, does that mean in only two short weeks we'll get to guess at a nub?! Yay!!
Covered - I can't imagine how terrible that must have been. I know when we tell family DH's side will be praying it's a boy since they have all girls on that side. And although at this point I'll be happy with either, I can definitely understand your frustration. I hope you can just tell them it's a girl and to shove it one of these days soon!!

Aww lovely healthy scans all round! Congratulations ladies.
Does anyone else feel irritable in pregnancy? Honestly I'm so snappy it's unreal. I feel sorry for OH but on the other hand I don't because I feel it's almost his duty to put up with me. They don't get any nausea, stress, hormonal crap. If only he knew how stressed I am about the health of the baby, the gender, dealing with my emotions after birth, the list goes on! I feel resentful. But last pregnancy I was completely chilled and laid back. I didn't have any hormonal outbursts, tears of stresses. I think all this gender stuff has changed the way I feel as I didn't even consider it the first time. I hope after we find out one way or the other I can start to enjoy being pregnant as I will finally know and have to make peace with the way it will be in my future family. I'm rambling now sorry...

Hoping and praying babypink that you hear pink! If it's only 50/50 that's not any better than not doing any swaying at all and if you swayed then you've already given yourself an edge. I wouldn't lose all hope! 🎀💕
How does everyone get the cute pregnancy tickers in their signatures? I made one on the bump, but when I copy and pasted the html just showed up, not the ticker? I feel like I need to begin looking at this as a pregnancy and not waiting for something bad to happen! And, I took my last FR Rapid Response (accidentally grabbed the wrong box - grrr) and the test line sucked the dye out of the control line so I figured that was a good sign! :)
I didn't do any swaying. I had planned to start towards the end of this year because our plan was to conceive next year, but this baby had other plans. I'm hoping there are some factors that helped me unofficially sway. I was breastfeeding and not taking any supplements, I was skipping breakfast a lot, we only had one attempt and DH had abstained for several days. However, I still ate red meat and other boy-friendly foods. I have a very boy-friendly lifestyle. I just hope the other factors increased my chances enough. Oh well, honestly I've been internalizing that this may be a boy and I'm starting to feel okay with that. This is actually what I wanted from that intelligender test, because my head was way too high up in the clouds thinking that I had a great shot at pink. I needed to start considering that it could very well be another boy.

Covered families can be very frustrating and people on the whole can be very thoughtless. Just try to brush the gender comments off and ignore. Difficult I know. I think it will be the same from our families if we find out we're having a boy as a few people know I always wanted one of each.

My doctor said that the NT scan was done at 12 weeks to scan for all of the same stuff the blood test would scan for, except the spinal issues. That can not be seen until the 18-20 week scan/bloodwork. I don't think it's routinely done unless it's requested because I've never had one before, that I know of. However, I'm not high-risk, I'm 31 with only 1 previous mc which was a blighted ovum at 5 weeks. No family history that would make me high risk either.
I was hoping for blood test for a definite answer, but I guess it could take just as long to get those results. 10 weeks is way too early for a nub guess right? because this baby looks like it has a nub pointing straight up!
babypinkno3
September 18th, 2015, 05:17 PM
yes! nub guessing will start on October 6! I'll be 12w6d. Hope that makes for an accurate nub prediction. Although I will say that looking at my boy's u/s, I think theirs look like girl nubs.
healthygirl, thanks for saying that. I think there were some good sway factors there so maybe there's still hope. Even if it just increased from 50% to 60% :) I will say one thing, this baby was definitely conceived differently than my boys!

That chart is freaky- it's right for ALL of my DS's! I guess I better pay attention to the months in 2016 AND stay strict on the diet and exercise! FREAKY!!

I just had the NT scan and bloods too babypink. We call it "combined screening" in NZ. With the scan they measure the amount of fluid behind the neck. This is often enlarged if baby has a chromosomal abnormality. With the bloods they check for a protein in the blood which can also be elevated with abnormalities. They put all your details (age, babies measurements etc) into a computer program and they just give you a degree of risk. Like 1 in 5000 I think I had with DS1.
It doesn't tell you gender or anything specific really. If you come out high risk then they offer you an amino here.

Oddly enough, the months where I had my miscarriages, the chart said girl. I felt that was the case both times. This thing is so weird! I almost wish I wouldn't have even looked at it!
I'm doomed to never give my DH a DD...

Mine said girl for my ds and boy for this one. it's going to be right 50% of the time for everyone.
How do people manage walking about with a toddler and a newborn? Do you have buggy boards and do your toddlers behave with them? At the moment we walk but he's not walking too far so I bring the pram if we go on a longer trip. If he's playing up I just put him in the stroller and he settles once we set off usually. I have visions of being trapped inside once the new baby comes as it will be such a mission to get out with 2 babies especially if he's in one of those moods! I don't think he would behave and stand on a buggy board for too long..

I usually wear my newborn in a front carrier and push my toddler in a stroller/pram. I get so cooped up nursing a newborn that I have to get outside and walk/power walk most days so I don't get too stir crazy!!! I end up at a park to let my toddler play and bring either a blanket or a nursing cover in case I have to nurse the baby.

Ya that chart is scaring me. I looked back and I think it was wrong for 1/4. I'm so nervous for blood work. I'm not gonna lie... I'm glad you pop in here now and again; when you see everyone getting their dg when they update their sways, it's comforting to know that your not alone getting opposites. I'm so sure I'll have another boy (with every wives tale against me too... Full moon & stupid Chinese calendar too)
