I know I'm already scrutinizing everything lol. I gave in to my urge to have milk and actually drank half a glass of full cream milk!!! Last night I had a dream that a friend I know that does 'readings' told me something along the lines of twinkles or sparkles lol and that I'm about to get the news I've been waiting for (she knows I'm ttc). I've been tempted to text her and tell her about the dream hahaha

Lol, there is this baby psychic online that I tried just for s&gs when TTC our first loss and I've toyed with the idea of paying for another reading. Last time she was kinda right and kinda wrong. She predicted my conception date to within a month and predicted a boy... but we lost him. I also got this cliff notes version of a life prediction for him, but as I said he passed. BUT I read it a couple months ago and, so far, it sounds exactly like my youngest. I'll quote it and bold the things that ring true for my youngest so you can see what I mean For reference, our angel DS was conceived late December, my youngest was conceived late september. Also bold and red means I added it). I don't know if I believe in psychic readings but after over 2 years TTC I was desperate for a little hope, lol. It has been fun to go back from time to time and see these things in my youngest. Maybe it is coincidence, maybe not... just something to do to pass the time I guess lol. I don't think I'll buy another reading but I play with the idea from time to time ;)

They show you with a BOY and they link him to NOVEMBER so this is either birth month, conceive month or the month you find out in

I am showing your son to be someone who is very strong, hes got a good head on his shoulders, very intelligent, fast thinker and often able to problem solve in a blink of an eye. hes good with working through his problems, anything he seems to encounter has a fast and easy solution for. hes not someone who is easily intimidated and would have no problems with trying anything that you throw at him. (He IS very strong willed, and is smart as a whip. He LOVES puzzles... give him a maze and he is on cloud 9. He has been taking things apart to figure out how they work, or at least trying, and tries to put them back together since he was old enough to get around. He isn't afraid of anybody or anything lol.)

hes pretty easy going, very friendly and seems to really enjoy making new friends. He is one of the people who seems to be the life of the party. often very entertaining, making people laugh, does some pretty good impressions of people he knows that are famous and is really quite good at it too. (He is very easy going. Teachers love him lol. And despite being autistic he gets along well with others. He is the house comedian. He will do just about anything to make you laugh :))

i see him as someone who is not afraid to take chances and try something that interests him., he gets into kick boxing and a few other sports in that manner. he would rather find out if he likes something or not by trying it, rather than just making up his mind by how it looks or sounds.

hes someone who I see as a peer tutor, and often mediator in this program in his high school. Starting around grade 8, volunteers his time to mentor other students.

When it comes to career paths, they show him starting off as a bouncer in a night club while attending school (college) I see him going into engineering.

When it comes to marriage I See him closer to 26, they will have two boys and one girl of their own.

Like I said, I don't know that I believe in this stuff, I am pretty open minded but psychic stuff is a bit outside the norm and there are a lot of scam artists in this world, but I figured I'd share in case you do. She goes by Cherri22 aka "the baby psychic" (http://www.cheri22.com/fertility-pregnanc).

Got ya! Yeah, slang can be tough cross culture. Even the same word or phrase can have different meanings :) Heck even within the US you run into that problem. For example, I grew up knowing a funnel cake (deep fried dough treat with powdered suger on top) as an "elephant ear". Then we moved south and at every carnival I looked for elephant ears and everyone thought I was nuts because they had NO idea what I was talking about. I'd see ppl walking around eating them and I couldn't figure out why they could find them and I couldn't lol. I was sooooo confused :giggle: It was years before I knew it was also called a funnel cake. Speaking of sweet treats, TBH I kinda thought you had a sweet tooth and went to get a sticky bun(donut-like pastry covered in this sticky sugary stuff... like wet sugar), thought maybe you called it a sticky beak lol.

Netti if that was my test I'd count it as a positive. When you say you've been monitoring cycles is that using opks and temping to confirm o? I thought I'd read previously you don't temp because of shift work sorry if I'm wrong. In any case you got an attempt in last night so Tuesday would be next ideal attempt night to keep to the one attempt in fertile window scenario. I technically had two attempts this cycle - dtd Thursday night then Sunday morning (ended up oing Monday) as I wasn't prepared to rely on a 4 days b4 o attempt - to me there would be no chance and I really dont believe the thursday bd will factor in at all so to me I still only had one attempt :)

netti02
August 15th, 2015, 01:04 AM
Ive just been monitoring cycle length and fertile signs with an app as i had a shift from 28 day cycles to about 30/31 days. Tested with opk last cycle just to get the hang of it.

I'll count it as a positive and leave it at the one attempt. I am definitely getting typical ovulation pain so i fingers X i catch the eggie 😆

Sorry to hear that news Taytum. For me, not temping or testing early saves my sanity a bit. The negative hpts are hard to take. I just wait for stupid af to come.

With my last dd I did 6 rounds of clomid and 3 IUIs. It was super random that we had so much trouble conceiving. No one said anything to me about not using clomid so long.

This is an atomic or more experienced swayer question. Wish I could help :(

Paracetamol is acetaminophen, which is fine when TTCing, since it does not have an adverse effect on ovulation. It is Ibuprofen you have to worry about and should not be taken prior to ovulating. Ibuprofen is known to delay or prevent ovulation from occurring.

It's your call but way back when I didn't O on my own either. I took clomid for a couple months then I had this strange double period thing so doc told me to take a break for a cycle. The meds were still in my system from previous cycles so I actually did O and got preg that cycle! So, it may be worth a shot if you don't get preg this cycle!

Junie

Taytum- I read that some studies suggested an increased risk of ovarian cancer if you took clomid for 12 cycles (not necessarily consecutive) although I read elsewhere that a more recent study disagreed with this. I do think that Drs. tend to try something else after 6 cycles as it probably isn't working and something else could work better.

Sounds good Netti and I think as long as you test around the same time each day it's all good. The whole testing in morning thing is so your using your most concentrated urine but obviously with you doing shift work that doesn't work for you and your afternoon is your morning iykwim. Post us a pic when its done. Hope you get a good sleep :)

Can I ask you ladies a question? Can I temp with the new forehead thermometers? That's the only one we have. Also how did you get in the habit of doing it first thing? My dd wakes me up sometimes and I forget.

Also has anyone ever had a warm sensation in their ovaries in the 2ww? It doesn't burn, just feels warm. I had it once with my cp and so I'm concerned.

hi quinn I don't think the forehead thermometer would be accurate enough. I got mine from a chemist for $11 it's got a flexi tip :). In saying that I would recommend you get a .00 thermometer as it will pick up minor temp fluctuations and if I have to go another cycle I'll definately be getting one. As for remembering I have my phone on the bedside table as I check the time pretty much whenever I wake up, I used to put my thermometer on top of my phone so I'd always remember to temp. Hope this helps :)

Thanks! The forehead one is the new digital kind that my dr uses. It was pretty expensive and does .00. I'll get the other kind just to be safe. I had to get this one because my kids wouldn't sit still long enough for me to do any other kind.

I think I know the type you mean. Does it look like this? And yes they are expensive but like you I never had luck with getting kids temp any other way! I just think personally the mouth temp is more reliable for charting but I could be wrong. Thanks ladies. Hoping 3rd round does the trick - otherwise I don't know what I'll do. I'm nervous about staying on Clomid for too long - I feel like I'd heard somewhere that the longer you're on it the LESS likely you'll be to conceive?

I don't think that's true my FS said 6 months by rule of thumb and if that doesn't work time to move onto something else. Not due to decreased chances just that it should of worked by now

A forehead therm is accurate enough to check for a fever but BBT is very dependent on tiny changes in temp. Those tiny changes are what make BBT accuracy so important. Forehead therms wouldn't work for the same reason that you can't temp orally in you are a mouth breather when you sleep. Too many outside influences affect the result. A cold room for example could make a small but critical impact where BBT is concerned. BBT doesn't have to be perfect by any means, but I would be concerned that any info gleaned from a forehead therm would cause more confusion than necessary.

Not sure about the warm ovaries, but I don't think it is anything to be concerned with.

According to atomic, the longer you are on clomid the lower your E goes and the higher your T goes (which would not be good for a pink sway) and that the safest time to conceive on clomid was months 1-3. I have it quoted on this thread somewhere. Atomic even goes so far as to say that after the 6 month mark you might as well be taking birth control because it cripples your fertility so much. I think that is what Taytum is referring to.

hahaha!! when are you testing? Do you think you can hold out until 10dpo??

Going to try to hold out until 12 DPO because of the CP last cycle... but I keep thinking back and nothing but the FRER gave me a BFP so I start to think that if I only use ICs and reg non-early tests I might be fine... So honestly I don't know  All I can say is I am going to try to hold out as long as I can... but that could end up being 7 DPO, 10 DPO, 12 DPO or even 14 DPO (although quite doubtful lol).

Hitme - that's such a dark, beautiful line! Please post your digi when you take it; I agree, it should definitely work!

Two - everything crossed for you! I'm with you, I'm going to hold out for AS LONG AS POSSIBLE! Haha

Thanks ladies for all of your reassurance and thoughts. I don't know if it's just that I assumed Clomid would be the magic trick or what, but it just hits harder than when AF came on non medicated cycles. So I'm just so scared Clomid won't be what works for us, but I guess time will tell. I did figure up that technically, we've only had 4 months of ovulation, which makes it a little bit easier to take. Just seriously, come on third round

My clomid schedule was screwed up in the beginning (bc I took it to initiate o and Af, but then I Od on my own before schedule) so I had 4 rounds (3 attempts) round one and 2 6 days apart.

Yes this is true. Folic acid if taken in a large amount at once can be excreted in your urine and not be at the optimum levels in your body. That being said, those of you that take just one pill once a day are fine. This is for people taking 1200mcg or higher. It is best for these people to space a lower dose two-three times a day for the best therapeutic level. I hope this makes sense.

The reason is that FA is water soluble which means you pee out excess. You don't store it. Your body can only absorb so much at a time, so by spacing them out you are giving your body a chance to absorb as much as possible instead of just peeing out most of what you are taking. HTH.

Not neccessarily. It could mean that I suppose BUT estrogen fluxes throughout the cycle, as does progesterone. They just take turns being dominant. Both are present throughout the cycle and just like progesterone you need estrogen to carry a pregnancy. My CM goes extremely watery when preg. It's not a bad thing/sign of a prob... just is what it is :)

Couldn't look at your chart earlier as I was mobile but I just did and HOLY HANNAH!!!. Everything crossed for a sticky BFP!!!

ETA: Quite the shift after your flatline! It wouldn't have taken much to go triphasic but your body is going all out lol. This cycle excluded, the mid 98's (F) are usually a preg temp for me :) Yours was 98.4 today. Looking forward to seeing tomorrows temp!!

It occurred to me today that symptom spotting is gonna be a challenge this cycle. Headache is usually one of my first symptoms of preg.... but I have had a headache most days this cycle. A backache (well technically a kidney ache) is usually a giveaway that AF is in route to come find me... but I have had my usual pre-AF backache for about a week now. I still have my early preg fatigue I suppose lol. Time is going WAY too slow lol.

******Rant warning******

Before I get into the rant I want to explain the person in question. One of my SILs is one of those people you don't want to know but you have no choice. She and my BIL are horrible parents. CPS placed their kids with us for 8 months after she beat the living tar out of my niece (her step daughter) with a wooden spoon, dog crap all over the house, kids eating canned veggies for breakfast because they are asleep all day, etc. I don't think they should have gotten them back but that is just my opinion (and this is JUST ONE incidence... CPS gets called on them more often than anyone I have ever, ever known). Also, she is the type that thinks the world revolves around her. If you do something a split second after her she says you copied her.... THAT kind of personality! *eye roll*

So now that you have some idea of the type of person I am talking about here goes my rant... She is F'ing preg! And before anyone thinks I am just jealous let me reassure you I most definitely am not. My OTHER SIL's sister has 2 boys and 3 girls (2 are twins) and just found out she is preg again and I honestly couldn't be happier for her! I am ticked because this particular person is preg. They don't take care of the kids they have and they are having another??? Their oldest daughter(11) already has to take care of her little brother (bathe him and such) and that poor girl is going to get stuck doing diapers and everything. To top it off I feel so bad for whatever baby gets stuck with them! When his youngest daughter was born I was god awful sick (hyperemisis gravidium- in other words severe morning sickness) and could barely lift my head without getting sick and I had to so into their room (BIL and ex-wife... we lived with them for a short time) get the baby, the formula and a diaper and take care of her because they just kept sleeping while she screamed.... and this poor baby-to-be is going to have to suffer through that :'(

THEN on a more selfish note, WE are trying to get preg! This isn't a "thunder" thing. I couldn't care less about "thunder" The more itsy bittsy rolls of powder fresh smelling goodness the better :giggle: It is a "I don't want to have to deal with her wanting to compare symptoms or complaining that we 'just got preg because they did' and are 'trying to steal THEIR thunder'". I told hubby whether we are preg this cycle or not they aren't going to find out I am preg until I can't hide it anymore because I don't want to deal with her mouth any longer than I have to.

Gah!!! :hair::fight::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:: beer: (you get the point)

Hey girls! Just popping in to say hello! I'm a teacher and we recently started back school so I've been quite busy! Which my obsessing has decreased tremendously so I'm glad about that!lol With two little ones and focusing on 20 students it's hard to even think about TTc! I have been popping in every few days to see the latest and hoping to see more BFPs! Huge congratulations to all you mommies who got positives!!! So happy for you all.

I am currently on CD12. Hoping to get my surge in the next few days! I have dropped supplements, jellies, and Zyrtec this month. Hoping to stick to my 1500-1800 Calories and one attempt at positive OPK which isn't promising. I'm not a POAS addict, I'm a "multi-attempt addict!" Seeing my handsome boys dressed for church this morning honestly made the thought of adding another little gentleman to our family delightful. We shall see!

Taytum, hang in there momma! Your time is coming. My sister got pregnant her third month of clomid after almost three years of trying and a miscarriage. She is now pregnant again after her second medicated cycle!!! I have two friends who also got pregnant on their third and fourth month on clomid. It's going to happen!

i have added temping this month but just when I get up. I'm not waking myself up to temp but working requires me to get up about the same time during the week so just weekends are off. I have really slacked off on my sway but with my perfectionist/teacher mindset is probably a good thing anyway!

Again, congratulations ladies!! I will hopefully be popping in a little more often.

Glad things are going well!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for your O & BFP!

Lauren- didn't get around to doing this earlier but hopefully this will help you understand (attached pic). during your LP there is a second surge of estrogen (the body's way of acting "pregnant until proven otherwise") in a non-preg cycle your estrogen will slump again before AF (but not as low as progesterone will since once AF starts estrogen will again be the dominant hormone). In a preg cycle it will remain elevated to help support the pregnancy. This is the "flux" I was talking about and why "fertile" CM may show up after O and why fertile CM after O doesn't necessarily mean low progesterone. Does that make sense?

Yes!! Thanks two! I told myself I wouldn't get my hopes up this cycle and that I wouldn't be anxious but who am I kidding? My nips are killing me and the sex dream (of the lesbian variety) really threw me for a loop. That was major pregnant lights in my mind. I just need to talk myself down. Lol

Twointow I can't believe some people can get pregnant - your SIL sounds like an awful person who truly does not deserve to be pregnant let alone have kids at all. Sorry that sounds harsh but I'd say the same about my own family/friend if they behaved the way you described. It would be hard to know whether to be more angry than just plain sad....

Boysboys: thank you so much for that. I absolutely needed it for sure. I just felt for sure last month was our month. And it seems like I see people who only needed a round or two. I so am hoping this is our last cycle! And I'm glad you're much less stressed - school starts back up for me this week so I'm so excited to have something to take my mind off TTC. Summer drove me crazy!

Two: I hate that so much. For some reason I've noticed people like that more and more lately. Those kids are lucky to at least having you guys looking out for them. It sucks though, I feel for you.

If we get to vote then anyone like this BIL and SIL (I have 2 BILs and SILs... the other set are very good parents!) would have mandatory sterilization. May sound cruel but not as bad as what those poor kids go through (FYI, the kids have been trained to lie to CPS. Even though when I had them I tried to explain to them that they have to tell the truth). Better shut up before I really start ranting again :giggle:

And for the record, to all that responded to my rant and didn't get a response back, I did read them. I just didn't want to turn this thread into a giant rant thread and every time I try to respond I start to rant again lol.

Okay, this is weird. No chance bean even implanted yet (though I did have some cramping yesterday on my left side, but I kept telling myself that there is no way, that egg hasn't even hatched yet- assuming fertilization occurred of course) and that makes it even weirder, but it is too funny not to share! So, with my sleep issues I can't remember the last time I dreamt... I am sure I did but I don't ever recall remembering my dreams. The last 2 nights I have had some crazy vivid dreams!! I had a couple of them night before last but the one I remember best was a pizza dream, but not like eating regular pizza. The pizza itself was so huge that each slice was AT LEAST as big as my head :giggle: I figured I was just craving pizza or hungry or something and brushed that one off. Last night's dream, however, was so far beyond weird that it was bordering on insanity lol. Some people I didn't know and I were being chased by mutant, acid MILK! I remember seeing it move through the walls like in a horror flick or something while I hid in a closet. Then it found me and dripped on me and I started screaming "It got me!!! It got me!!!" Apparently, my brain has some food issues to work through

Umm I would love to eat a slice of pizza as big as my head!! Chased by milk...not so much. Are you on the LE diet? When I'm watching what I eat, I'm always thinking about delicious food!!!!

My dh is so bummed I'm probably not pregnant. He gets really upset each time and I always feel guilty. He doesn't blame me so I don't know why I feel that way. If only he knew what it was like to analyze every twinge and cramp for 11-14 days!!

I really wish men could know what it's like too! Then again I know my hubby would love to know what it feels like to have a baby moving around inside (it's just something you can't quite describe well) so we get some good with the bad as women :)

Thanks two!!!!!! I am shaking. One of our lights went out in the bathroom so I was trying to look at the test and I thought I saw a line but couldn't tell so I got the flashlight out on my phone and my hand was shaking so bad I had a hard time seeing it. I just kept saying "holy shit" over and over haha. And DH is like "Does that mean you're pregnant?!". Hopefully it's a sticky bean!!!

So about this issue with the evaps and the FR tests, how the heck do I know if its an evap? The line is very clearly pink to me, although it looks a little less so in the photo because of the crappy lighting.

Huge congrats! That is a definite line and not an evap. An evap line is a colorless line that looks like it should be pink.

The absolute earliest I have ever gotten a BFP was 9 DPO and that cycle O day was questionable. you are far from out yet! I always say any testing before 10 DPO is just for fun, because the odds of getting a BFP before then are very slim, even if you are preg. :fingers:

Well I'm not testing again. I am 10 dpo today and af is supposed to be here Wednesday. If for some reason she doesn't come, I'll force myself to wait until Friday. I've had two chemicals and they are no fun!

This is our first month ttc but I'm nervous because our last dd took 9 months and an IUI to conceive. I'm hoping the HE diet raises my fertility. I've been eating avocados and berries almost daily for months (heard they were good for fertility) and drinking a glass of whole milk and averaging 120 grams of protein. Plus I weaned dd during the last cycle and dh and I started taking wheatgrass. If that didn't help this cycle, maybe it will help the next one. This 2ww is too stressful for me!

I am so jealous lol (of your diet). Before I started LE my diet was VERY boy friendly protein-wise. Since I started the LE... well lets just say I've never craved cheeseburgers more in my life. I could seriously eat a BBQ bacon cheeseburger (I also crave BBQ) with a side of cottage cheese and onion rings every single night and be quite content lol.

I had a CP last cycle, so I know what you mean. I was hesitant to accept it at first, but afte day 2 of BFP I was so excited.... cautiously so, but still excited (preg is not my friend so I am always cautiously excited anyway). When the line vanished on day 3 I was crushed. So I completely understand your wanting to wait to test. Out of curiosity did you just get BFPs on FRER, or on other tests too?

(((HUGS))) your 2WW is almost over. You'll have an answer soon. :fingers: for a BFP! This month certainly seems to be the magic month... lets hope it continues for all of us!

Lol! I am hoping that they call my cell phone and not my home phone. For some reason, my home phone is on the fritz. I think there is something wrong on our service providers (Xfinity) end because the phones themselves are just fine. We just had to go in and get a new router because our internet wasn't working. Our phone service is through our internet/cable provider, so I'm wondering if the new router has something wrong with the phone line portion.

They finally called!!! She said my hcg went up to 60!!! She's going to talk to my Dr tomorrow morning and I'll most likely go back on Friday for another blood test. She said once my level gets to a certain level, they'll have me come in for an ultrasound. She also asked me to fax my temp chart for them.

My sister is still being negative about the whole thing. She said it's still low so it could still be an ectopic. :( I think I am done telling her things. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can respond the next time she asks me for information about this? Keep in mind, she still considers herself as infertile despite having 5 children.

Well bad news for me :( I got some bright red bleeding last night, took an HPT this morning and it was very negative. I guess I had a chemical pregnancy then. Hopefully next month I'm lucky again. I will NOT be testing until the day after I miss my period. I would rather not get all excited just to have it taken away. Good luck to everyone else! I'm hoping you all get BFPs and sticky little beans :) Congrats to all those who recently got their BFP as well!

So sorry Kitty :(

I went for my blood work today. My doc pissed me off. Im in canada and so everything is "covered" and physicians are impossible to get. I asked for 2 sets of blood work papers (we have to go to a lab, separate from doc), and he wouldn't. I just wanted to see my numbers grow after a few days. He woudnt, I also asked to add that he check my progesterone and he also wouldn't. Said it doesn't prove anything. That it's not reliable. I have had 2 mcs. But he's like but you've had 4 good pregnancies. So I guess I'm at his mercy.

Anyways my betas will be available online tomorrow the lab tech said :)

Just tell her that you are "cautiously optimistic". Hopefully that will avoid the negative "but what if"s and not sound like gloating at the same time (I'm sure you aren't but it may seem that way to her so best to avoid it). Or if you are religious just say "It's in God's hands" or "in fate's hand" or something like that.
