So I know it's still July but there are quite a few of us that have had AF show her ugly face this month and will be moving on to August. Welcome all swayers, new and old :)
I'm CD5 today and based on the last few cycles, I should O between Aug 5-8. This is month 4 of TTC for us.

I am so glad you started this board, yaybaby! I was just about to start one, lol! I am cd9 today. I am really hoping that I'm going to O early this cycle. Last cycle I o'd on cd17. This clomid is making me a raging b*tch!!! I am really close to locking myself in a room so that I can't snap at anyone else, lol!
If this cycle is anything like last cycle, I will most likely O around July 30-31st. This is our 5th cycle ttc.

Welcome netti! Are you swaying pink or blue? What are you including in your sway?
netti02
July 24th, 2015, 02:30 PM
Swaying pink. Taking folic acid. Hubby LR and OLE. Doing my best at LE diet and adding in cardio (just some brisk walking) but i have 4 boys already 😂 so 'mum' time is hard.
Just trying to get my cycles sorted im sure they have lengthened by a few days so have opks ready to go. Will be doing one attempt. I have baby clothes and shoes under the bed. Lavender candle. All the research i can muster. I work 3 nights a week so next O date ill run myself ragged in hope 'maternal decline' gives me the desired results ☺ And I have all our fingers and toes crossed. As this is our last im also NOT going to find out. I found out with all my others but this time its extra special.
On a side note: i did speak to a psychic-medium and she said i would have my girl on 2 separate occasions. That was a driving force of me trying one last time.
Desired baby dust to us all xx

That would be wonderful but sadly unlikely if last cycle is any indication of Clomid's lack of ability to make me O sooner. Fortunately, I will be getting a folicle study done on CD 13 or 14 this coming cycle so hopefully I won't be going so blindly this time.

Im hoping it will be the first time again as wanting to be due in May and have our pink bundle near DH's bday. I have a good feeling about this month ladies. Ttc is just one big wait isn't it Netti lol! We wait for af, we wait to o, we wait to test then wait for af again if bfns. Good luck and I hope you have a pink bean coming your way. I had my tarot cards done twice by a medium about 18 months apart (she didn't remember me obviously) she said both times I would have 3 babies (I have 2 boys). Didn't specify boy or girl and I didn't ask. I have a friend who is a medium and she has told me she has seen a daughter in my life (she knows my desire for a girl). Its nice to be told that but I still expect I'll have another boy despite swaying but I'm good with that to. After visiting a friend who's 14 weeks pregnant on weekend I'm starting to worry more about getting pregnant than what the gender will be. In saying that I'm still really hoping my sway works :)

Pbn3, I found that going from 2 to 3 is no where near as difficult as going from 1 to 2. You're already used to going back and forth between 2 kids, so 1 more doesn't really make that big of a difference. :)

Your boys are gorgeous netti!! I was so happy when dc2 was a boy because I love the thought of brothers growing up together and the bond they share. in all honesty I would love a girl for my last child hence the swaying but I know I would love another boy if the sway fails - I wouldn't be ttc no3 if I felt otherwise. I had a dream back in March that I had another baby boy and I remember a fleeting 'its not fair' thought before he was put on my chest but then I felt such a powerful love for him that I know if it happens like my dream its just not going to matter what sex he is. It was so vivid and I was even in theatre having c-section and all (3rd will definitely be cs, gave up on vbac dream with ds2)

I have to agree here. I only have 2 to care for myself but went from 2 to 4 overnight! My nieces (9 and 10)were placed with us via CPS for nearly a year and the hardest part of the transition was suddenly dealing with girly issues. For example, I keep the boys' hair cut close to the head to avoid any of those hair pests (I don't like the "L" word, lol) that kids tend to bring home from school. When they came to me they were completely infested and I had to learn how to deal with that. The oldest has started puberty so I had to answer a lot of questions. Just a lot of things that you normally have several years to prepare yourself for lol. That was really the hardest part. Going from 2-4 was pretty easy otherwise (of course I didn't work with the baby stage so I am no expert lol). I kinda miss having them :(

Do any of you clomid ladies know if the effects of Clomid are cumulative? In other words is there a chance my second cycle on clomid might make for an earlier O for me? I didn't O until CD 24 this cycle which really sucked. I will be having a follicle study on CD 13 or 14 this coming cycle so at least I won't be as in the dark as I was this cycle (hopefully), but I am REALLY hoping for an earlier O...

How much do those suckers cost? My ins won't pay for fertility meds so cost is a factor. Also, I can't really go there until after we see how my ovaries are responding. Trigger is no good if there aren't any mature eggs when triggered, kwim?

Lol! True! :D That's why I haven't gotten it either. I am a little concerned this cycle though because my opk was nowhere near as positive as last month. I figured it would be similar but it was super light. Although, the box says that you can't go by the color of the lines with the CB Advanced. That only makes it more frustrating. :/ I ordered some ICs but I haven't gotten them yet. I think they're supposed to get here tomorrow. Silly me thinking I'd O the same day as last month. Well, at least they also come with some cheapie hpts, so I can take advantage of those, lol! I'm hoping this 2ww will go faster than last cycle because we are going out of town to visit family and then taking the kids for a surprise trip to an amusement park. :D
twointow83
July 28th, 2015, 10:49 AM
Oh! Sounds fun!! We have a trip also but not during the 2WW and not nearly as fun, lol. Hubby's annual family reunion is coming up, so at least that will keep us a little busy... Maybe kill some time while I wait to O (if AF ever decides to show that is). Over 3 weeks to O feels like an eternity when TTC, kwim? Also, I am kinda curious what the follicle study will show. I was hoping to avoid it because it is fertility related so I doubt my ins will pay a dime of it, but now that that option has passed I am actually looking forward to learning what is going on in there around CD 13-14... maybe it will shed some light on why I O so late. My personal opinion is that I need a higher dose, because I am O'ing close to my avg time even with the clomid which makes me think it is not really doing much. According to FF CD 25 is my avg for O day and I O'd CD 24. Anyway, hopefully the trip and the study will break up the wait a bit. Unfortunately, they will be close to back-to-back so it won't break things up by much. The reunion will be over a weekend and more than likely I will have the follicle study a few day after we get back. Maybe even the the following Monday as, if AF shows today, that Monday will be CD 14.

That should be fun too though! We had a family reunion last summer with my mom's family and it turned out pretty well. I was actually surprised because my mom's family is full of alcoholics. I figured there was going to be a lot of drama but there really wasn't. I hope the study helps you figure some stuff out! I agree that you need a higher dose. That's why my RE increased mine. Ok, I have been posting here for a few days because I was in a limbo between this cycle and last, but AF finally arrived so I can finally move on from last cycle.
Several of you were on the July thread but for those who weren't:
This is my second cycle TTC. I am taking clomid to improve egg quality after a loss in May. I am also taking it to shorten my cycles but that didn't happen last cycle. I honestly don't know if I'll be swaying this cycle. After our loss in May and a probable chemical preg last cycle, DH and I are trying to decide which means more to us A: doing everything in our power to try to get a sticky bean(which would mean taking steps to improve fertility which would sway blue) or B: Getting back on the sway horse in hopes of a girl. *If* we decide to continue on the sway train our sway will look something like LE, couch potato (did cardio last cycle but because of my late O issues it won't be feasible anymore... with earlier O I might have been able to do one more cycle with cardio but...), BD E4D, Clomid, Zantac and Folic acid in high doses (doctor prescribed dosage). DH will continue to take OLE.
Based on my secondary charting SW I am foretasted to O on the 18th, so I have a long wait ahead of me... esp since based on last cycle I won't even O that early. My avg O timing would put me O'ing around the 22nd. I have to call the doc office in the AM to schedule a follicle study which will likely be on the 10th or 11th. Bottom line is many, if not most, of you will likely have moved on to the next cycle before I even O. I'll be lucky if my 2WW doesn't continue into September, lol.
So that pretty much explains me, lol.
Baby dust to everyone here and anyone looking for blue dust you are welcome to take as much of mine as you want ;)

Good luck, two!!! :) I hope your cycle is shorter.
Afm, I guess the peak I got was some kind of joke my cb advanced decided to play on me. My temps are not confirming the O and ff had actually readjusted my O to this coming Friday. Ugh.... I took another opk today and it says high. I guess I'll just keep testing. Something definitely keeps delaying my O. I can feel my body gearing up but for some reason it just won't happen. Do you think I should call my RE? Or just wait it out? I'm inclined to wait it out as I know that I normally O on my own.

I agree, if it keeps happening I'd call as it could be worth looking into but this time I'd wait it out and see. Our bodies gear up to O but don't for many reasons so I wouldn't stress it just yet. Repeatedly doing so is worth a call, but once is no big deal :)

Mommamia - I'm in the same boat. Bumped up to 100mg this cycle, and I didn't temp because I figured I'd save myself the hassle knowing I wasn't going to so before/on Clomid. So I started temps and OPKs CD12. Last cycle I O'd CD17, but today I had a jump up, which is a similar temp to my first post O temp, and it's CD14. And my OPKs were SO negative (wondfos). I know tomorrow's temp will be a better indicator but I'm in the same boat with you - hang in there!

July 30th, 2015, 08:23 PM
Pbn3, I've decided to throw caution to the wind and do multiple attempts. DH mentioned that he is ok if we don't have any more kids, so I am thinking this is going to be the last cycle I can get him to ttc. He didn't really want to try for more and it took a lot of convincing for me to get him to agree to my tubal reversal. So, it seems like the stress of ttc has taken a toll on him. I have to skip the next two cycles anyway, so I decided to just give it our all this month and see if I can even get pregnant. Historically, I have a high risk of miscarriage and I'm not sure how DH will respond if that happens. He flip flops a lot on the topic, so I tried to sway while I had time. Now it is kind of at the point where I really want a baby and I'm not sure how long I can get DH to cooperate. So, we've been dtd every day since cd10. Sorry for the long winded response, lol! On the plus side, I finally got my peak today!!! It's just the same as last month, so I'm confident it will actually happen tomorrow!! :)

I'm curious to get some input. You all may or may not be able to answer but it is worth a shot. I don't know if I have ever mentioned this in the 2WW threads butt I have issues with malabsorption due to some tummy issues. So I have been thinking about the clomid. When I took it 6 years ago I O'd around CD 17 I think. This was before my tummy issues came to be. I took the same dosage as I take now. So I have been pondering on whether I could be less receptive/responsive to the clomid either due to my tummy problems (like maybe I am not absorbing it well) or if maybe it is just because of the fact I am 6 years older now
I can't do anything about the fact that I am older so I have been trying to think of way to increase absorption. When I was preg with my angel DD I had to take progesterone sups, but because of my issues I have to take it vaginally (not fun... at all) but it was a gel cap so I honestly don't know if a regular pill would dissolve and absorb "down there" like a gel cap so I don't know if that is an option. The other idea I have come up with is crushing the pill and then taking it, but I don't know if that would help with absorption or not. I start taking them tomorrow (CD 3), and I will probably call the pharmacy tomorrow to get some feedback from the pharmacist but I was curious if you all might know if either of those options would work, or happen to know of another option to increase the absorption of pills? I never know which camp I am going to be in with regards to pills and such. Some things I absorb a little too well, and others I have to take high doses of to get any benefit. Since I am stuck taking 50 mg again this cycle I want to do everything I can to make sure my body gets the most benefit from it. So any ideas from you all?

[emoji170][emoji577][emoji843][emoji602][emoji170]
All of the above. I have two issues going on one affecting the upper portion of my digestive tract and the other affects the lower portion.
I called the pharmacist and he said to crush it. He said with my issues that would help me absorb it better and possibly more rapidly before my stomach has a chance to revolt and cause my system to flush (nicest way I can put it). I have been taking it without food in an effort to keep my stomach from becoming unhappy (food and my stomach are not always on "speaking terms") but I still have to battle the fact that I don't absorb things well so crushing it will hopefully do the trick.

So I'm going from a weird as post o chart last cycle to a weird as pre o chart arrgghh!! Does anyone know how much alcohol affects your temping? I had a blowout yesterday and drank a bottle of wine (over a 6 hour period though) and had drunk what I thought was heaps of water a couple hours b4 bed. I'm on cd6 and don't expect to o until cd11, 12 or 13 but had a 0.5 degree shift up this morning!!! (This is not an o temp shift.) Anyone else seen similar on their chart? Also decided to start checking cervix this cycle... had to google how lol, seriously the things we do ttc!!! Will attach screenshot of chart. Just didn't think a single wine night blowout would result in such a temp shift!! In saying all this I had to get up at 2.00am to see to ds2 and my temp was only 36.3, but I got back to sleep and took temp again just after 6am and it was 36.6??? checked it again 15 mins later and was the same.26512

Your "shift" is actually only about .1 if you factor in other temps... wouldn't even qualify as an O shift as that requires a .2 shift above your last 6 temps. I can't weigh in for certain on the alcohol because I am what you call a "cheap date" lol, I get drunk with not very much alcohol at all so I don't really drink enough for it to affect my temps. However, a bottle of wine (assuming it is avg sized) *could* be enough to affect your temps. Someone else will have to weigh in here but I'd made a note of the alcohol the day before and the double temp so that if later you see it is really messing up your chart you can "disturb" it. According to the days you mentioned O is at least 5 days away and only the last 6 temps count toward your determination of O so it may not even be an issue.

Thanks two I know for sure its not an o shift just surprised at the jump in temp pre o. Yeah, don't stress about it at all :) Temps sometimes go weird on us that is why they say to look at the big picture instead of temp by temp.
AFM- As you may be able to tell, my insomnia is in overdrive :( It is 5 am here and I am still wide awake. Fortunately AF is still being a thorn in my side so temping isn't an issue. I even tried eating as sometimes getting my belly full makes me sleepy. But no luck :( I am yawning like a crazy person but the moment I lay down to try to get to sleep I might as well have guzzled a pot of coffee. My boys will be up in a couple hours. Yes, mommamia - I bet we're both just around the corner! :)
Xx- I do think EOD would be fine, but I just always worry that with my little CM that I just worry I NEED to hit ovulation with my preseed otherwise I just worry they won't survive. :( we've been using preseed every attempt, but just one more thing to worry about haha.

We're actually going to skip tonight, I just did another OPK and it's positive again so I probably won't O until tomorrow. I really want to get as close to O as possible so going to save up for tomorrow and then Monday morning. Not exactly the boy timing that's suggested, but still plenty of attempts in.

Thanks for thinking of me! I'm still on holidays over in NZ but the hotel gets free wifi [emoji5]️. Yes 2 dpo but I'm so unconfident about ttc lately, didn't even notice any EW or fertile signs. I had my clomid like usual and my trigger shot I had my op last week and everything on the inside is working great so not sure what's happening. Will get DH semen analysis done when we get back to rule that out. If it doesn't work this cycle we will look into IUI.

Hi everyone. I'm officially in the 2ww trying for pink. Got positive opk yesterday but couldn't dtd. Have done far too many attempts this cycle but I'm just wants g to get pregnant now so feeling more relaxed about an opposite. We dtd cd 15, 19, 21, 22, and 24 (today) so just missed day of positive opk day (cd 23). Definitely nervous about this and feeling if it does happen we are more likely to have a boy but I'm just too impatient. I. Feeling that this isn't going to be our month though for some reason. A few people have announced their pregnancies recently and I'm itching to join them. I'm classing myself as 1dpo today although I did have another smiley this morning. I'm hoping the diet and generally being in poor maternal condition will help give me a chance of pink if it happens this month :worry:

I guess I'll join. DTD on July 31st and O'ed early this morning. I'm hoping so desperately that I get a BFP this cycle. I have been waiting so long it seems! Ever since starting this sway last year I have super short LH surges so I feel like I may have been missing O. Going from 3-5 days of surging to 12-24 hours is nerve wracking since most of the time I O the same day I get the positive. Hopefully we DTD early enough this time :) For all four of my previous pregnancies I got PG the first month trying. It is so discouraging to go so long without a bfp :( I know there are women who TTC for over a year and I should count my blessings, but I never realized how utterly heartbreaking BFNs are.
I want to wish you all good luck! I hope you all get your BFPs this cycle!!

Uggghhhh...the ovulation pain right now is so miserable. I guess I've been lucky this round of Clomid with little side effects but this is miserable right now. We got an attempt in this AM and will get another one in tonight, but it's a little hard to get prepared to DTD with this pain. Any tips from you ladies? Not sure about the heating pad, but I don't think it will hurt anything. Just avoid NSAIDs (asprin, ibuprofen, ect.). O is an inflammatory process so NSAIDs can sometimes delay O.

Hey girls! I was hoping not to join you all if I'm real honest but I am!lol No, I am glad to have you all to chit chat. I went back and caught up a good bit.
This is our 3rd month ttc, you could really say second because the first much was pretty much impossible bc I was doing everything you can imagine.
This month I think I'm dropping the sylk this month. I plan to just use the what God gave me! and I may even drop vitex and other supplements. I think I may focus on my diet, (keeping calories within 1500-1800) and one attempt at positive OPK. I had three attempts last month and I thinking by the time I O'd we may have exhausted his count. So obviously my several attempts didn't work anyway?! Who knows.
Anyway, now just waiting on AF to show. I'm about 12 dpo, possibly 13. Hopefully she will show in the next couple of days.
Yall, I'm only on month one of a true BFN "let down" and it isn't fun!!!! I go straight to the worst, "omg, can we never conceive?" My hubby has a varicocele we got checked right before conceiving DS1 which the urologist said was harmless bc his counts were well above normal range but I still have that in the back of my mind! My sweet hubby bought him some healthy drinks and brought out the boxers (he's wore them with both boys but I didn't make him change due to swaying) He can't stand to see tears. I know it's my first month (boohoohoo) but I was convinced I was preggo, so that always stinks.
I need a margarita.lol Hubby tried to buy us some this morning but we forgot you can't buy alcohol until after 12 on Sunday's in Alabama. Oops.
I sound like a high-strung weirdo on here. I promise I'm not. Actually super laid-back but I just needed to get it all out.

It's nobody's fault. TTC is A LOT of pressure and doing it on command as is often necessary can kill the mojo from time to time. DH has had the same problem from time to time over the collective 3+ years we have spent TTC over the course of our relationship. It's frustrating for both parties. He feels inadequate and she kinda feels cheated of the liquid gold (these are general emotions as examples.... not necessarily what you or he may be feeling). But nobody is to blame. (((Hugs)))

Taytum, yes, I know the feeling. DH cut me off this cycle. He said that I better have already o'd because the romance isn't there after so many consecutive days of dtd. I don't blame him. Taytum ttc is hard! And swaying adds a whole new lot of pressures with it! Whether swaying blue or pink or if you've been trying regardless of gender it just gets more difficult to shrug the bfns off.... As for dh all I can say is the one good thing about ttc pink is the one attempt. With ds1 & 2 we were just trying to get pregnant (had no idea about natural swaying then) but I can still remember that terrible pressure to dtd as many times possible in fertile window - we had to use sperm friendly lubricant each time sorry if tmi and it definately wasn't "lovemaking" it was "hope we're baby making". I don't even think we were dtd in between ttc after the first couple bfn months moreso with ds2...
TaytumJ
August 3rd, 2015, 07:34 AM
Thanks so much ladies. I think you're right - it's also the swaying that puts pressure on it as well, trying to get as many attempts in as possible and DH and I aren't normally like that anyways. I look back and think we got 3 good attempts in fertile window and I am pretty sure I O'd around 6pm last night so if egg is still hanging around this morning there's another chance. I may stop temping after confirmed O...less stress for sure! ;)

Taytum, TTC is so stressful! My DH doesn't like being put under pressure and we have had a few issues like that before. When TTC our first two we would only BD every other day as it was too much pressure for DH. As you can see we ended up with two boys from this pattern :) Good luck this month!!
I'm CD3 so still far away from the TWW. My plan this month is not to really do much at all! I'm not doing very well with the diet other than delaying breakfast so I have a good fast and I'm also trying not to snack. I'm just eating my normal foods and avoiding putting on weight, its a bonus if I lose some. I'm not going to temp and I will just wait until I get my usual O pain and make one attempt then (but I won't tell DH I'm ovulating as he doesn't like the pressure!).

Last cycle I had killer cramps on CD 19, I think (could have the wrong CD), but didn't O that day. I was expecting more of the same O day but honestly I had some cramps but it was a fraction of what I'd had on CD 19. Kinda just felt like the cramps I get all cycle long on clomid, just a tiny bit stronger. I wouldn't be concerned... at all. That is one heck of a shift so there is no doubt that you had a strong O. :fx: for you!
twointow83
August 3rd, 2015, 10:55 AM
Ok, so last cycle I was REALLY high strung. Having to focus on every little detail of TTC AND swaying, with the monkey wrench of clomid thrown in was a lot of stress. So this cycle I have made a decision to take it easier. As far as temps, I am not going to make a point to temp. I likely will through the week as I'll be up to get the kids off to school anyway but weekends are up in the air... If I happen to wake up then maybe I'll temp but I won't be setting an alarm unless I get an LH surge in which case temps will help me pinpoint exactly when I O'd and it will be a lot less stressful for me to wake up a couple extra mornings than to try to figure out "Am I ___ DPO or ___ DPO?" After O, I might temp... or I might not  It'll probably be like before O.. if I am up anyway I'll temp but if not then I won't.
Diet wise, I am not counting anything anymore. This was the most stressful part for me (this and trying to figure out WTH was up with O). Trying to consistently stay within the guides, never too high or too low on anything... it is stressful. So I am going to try just being mindful of my choices. I may decide to count things up for a day every so often, to make sure I am not veering too far off course but for the most part I am just going to try to make LE friendly choices and leave it at that. Also, I am doing couch potato this cycle (mostly because I know keeping it up all cycle would be impossible with everything going on this month) so one less thing to worry about there too.
We are going to BD E4D, just like last cycle. DH is going to keep taking his OLE and I am backing off a bit from the baby asprin (just taking it less frequently, not stopping all together) and keeping up on my clomid, Zantac and FA regimen.
So that is our new plan. DH wants a girl but he kinda wants to just drop the sway. It is a lot of pressure on both of us. So, we are going to try a more easy going cycle and see if that is an agreeable compromise. Plus, I'll be going back to school soon and that is enough stress all by itself, lol. I'd be a neurotic mess if I tried to do it all perfectly. :fx: that this will be enough to get us a BFP and a pink bundle.

Eek! Just think, you could be starting with full-blown preg symptoms! That is my concern in regards to school! I would be in school for my entire first trimester and part of my second. So the hardest part of preg I will be in school... trying to stay away, pay attention and not hurl on my classmates... Not looking forward to it, but I can't put my life on hold to TTC. Exactly!! Luckily it's only part time and I only work for a semester (15 weeks) at a time. So, if I decide that I don't want any hours next semester, I just let them know. Then when I'm ready to go back, I just let them know and they'll schedule me again. I think it will work out really well. Plus, my sister works there, so I have someone to talk to if I start freaking out. I haven't had good work experiences in the past, so I have a lot of anxiety about working. I think I can stick it out for 15 weeks though.

Working in a childcare center at a college. I just hope that changing poopy diapers won't make me throw up. It's one thing to change your own kids' diapers, it's totally another to change some other kids. You know? Lol!

Yes, you can gear up to O a few times and not and still O later. A lot of things can affect O, from stress & illness to hormones. Sometimes it can take a few hours for the body to try again... sometimes a week or so. If you have never had issues Oing before then chances are excellent that you will O sometime in the near future :)

I found you guys! Seems the gang is all here, plus a few new faces :)
Like tatyum, i vanished to take some focus (stress?) off the ttc swaying plan. Miss me? Haha I missed you!
Im cd 19, and I o'd earlier than I have this whole Ttc adventure on cd 17 (FF SAYS 16, But let's ignore her, my cm went cloudy:opaque/sticky late in the day on cd 17.)
http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/03/cb6f02c4b93864d7981dd69a3152fbf9.jpg
I JUST caught the +opk by the seat of my pants - I had 6 tests left from last cycle and decided to. Not order more, so I timed that I'd start testing in cd 16 (since im typically a late o with Clomid). And voila! First poas was a pos! Like glaringly pos! We had our one attempt that day, and then the next day the OPKS went - and my cm changed :) best timing every so far! Except that it was a full moon, but we won't go there lol
Like Two, I REALLY lightened up this attempt. I stopped tracking with the exception of a few days here and there. But still skipped breaky, no snacks (well, the odd day), the odd moderate to crazy wild cheat day (read: several glasses of champagne along with filet mignon at a wedding, and Big Macs and Dairy Queen blizzards on o day..... Ask me if I care?!??)
Im super chill this month, but as always the tww is a killer [emoji12] plus my job is crazy - wedding season has me hopping! It's a stressful gig at times, which I used to be concerned about with my sway, but you can't change the world so let it go.

fx like mad for both of you its exciting to have quite a few officially in the 2ww!! Bring on testing!
IF we continue ttc after this month (me and dh had decided this is our last month) I will definately be relaxing sway as well - I just cant do this le diet anymore its been 20 weeks tomorrow and I'd been dieting (but less strict) for the 6 months prior to that. Like you ladies I'll drop counting stuff but still not snack and will keep skipping breakfast. My protein count will definitely jump as I'll be having meat again as soon as I o this cycle hopefully in 2 or 3 days :)

DH just couldn't finish tonight. :( Does anyone else get as upset about it as me? I just feel like it's my fault, and he's mad since he feels like it's his fault. I told him we have several good attempts so neither of us should be upset, but I can't help it. We'll try again tomorrow morning before work. I think I might be even more upset I "wasted" the preseed! Ha.
Lovely, don't feel bad. Mine did the same thing to me... but I was dripping with baking soda and preseed and I was bawling my eyes out. No worries ♡♡♡♡

When we got Pregnant with DS2 my husband didn't finish during one of our multiple attempts (prob why he's all BOY) and we got preggo that month! I remeber being so upset about it and of course that frustrated him. It's totally normal! But do know that one attempt shouldn't hurt a thang!!! :)

Mommamia - yay cycle buddies! :) I had no symptoms this month on Clomid besides really painful ovulation. I worried I wouldn't O too since I didn't feel anything leading up to it. I'm also starting a new job in a few weeks! I am super nervous about getting pregnant and feeling crappy, especially as my job is mentally and emotionally exhausting at times, and I need to be on the ball, not puking in the bathroom haha. Maybe you being around kids will make your body wake up to have one!
Two- I like that you're less stressed this cycle. I agree I was so anxious and high strung last cycle that I knew it couldn't be good. I as much more relaxed this cycle about it all and I'm going to stop temping after my confirmed O. Swaying adds so much more pressure to TTC and I happen to feel boy swaying is so much easier than girl so I can understand how stressed you guys are about it.
Hitme- welcome back! I was wondering about you - glad to see you're less stressed! I agree with you that O looks like CD17, and you timed it perfectly! Haha on the full moon...I'm hoping that damn blue moon is good news for me! FX for you and a BFP!
Lauren - keep testing! You absolutely could O right around the corner. I O'd last cycle CD17 with +OPK cd15. This time my + didn't come until cd17. Good luck!
Kperez- thanks for the reassurance. There were definitely some tears, even though I told myself I wasn't going to be upset because I knew it was a strong possibility he wouldn't be able to. We just aren't 19 and 20 any more!
Boys - ahhh thank you so much for the reassurance and hope! I kept telling myself we did get a good attempt in that morning so we had our bases covered. Hoping that it pays off for us! And we got in a good attempt this morning too, just in case that eggie was hanging out waiting still.
FX for all of us a less stress month and BFPs! Now...just in time for symptom spotting. I kid, I kid.

Hi ladies feeling abit low after reading two of my fellow June 2ww swayers have/will miscarry... It's really making me ask myself the question about how badly I want to sway. I always thought from a young age that I wanted three kids but I waited and waited for the right person then waited another five years so we were somewhat set up. Now I'm feel I'm getting to old (as does dh) and in all honesty I do not think we'd be trying again if we'd had a pp. My dilemma is I do want to be pregnant but at the same token I want to know I gave it my best shot at a girl - if its a 3rd (and last) baby boy I'll be ok with that but I've worked so hard with this diet I just cant start adding more attempts etc just yet :( but on the other hand I feel like I'm borrowed time as such? and if we are going to have three bubs regardless of gender then that's what I need to do... Such a dilemma and I feel so selfish for thinking this way when there are people losing their babies as I type which makes me feel just awful and near tears :(:(

Oh, Pbn3!!! I wish I could give you a great big hug!! I do know what you mean. It's a very difficult decision to make, especially when there are factors pushing you in two opposite directions. I am in the same spot and did add more attempts this month. Please don't do it. I know it is hard when you just want to be pregnant. I go back and forth between accepting another ds and feeling like I still need a dd. Stay strong!! :bighug:

Pbn3 sorry to hear you are feeling blue. I too have these feelings of guilt for wanting a specific gender when others can't or have lost precious babies. Don't punish yourself though. It's normal to Desire a specific gender for some women and there's nothing wrong with swaying your odds for that. I have been on the diet for a long time too but am so impatient I've added in lots of attempts this cycle which makes me nervous but at the same time I know that what will be will be. If you feel uncomfortable adding attempts maybe set a number of months that you do one attempt and if you would be ok with another boy then maybe start every 3 days when you feel time is more pressured.
I'm 3dpo today- is anyone with me? I'm really hoping I can stay patient and avoid early testing this month. I feel nauseous but have done since ovulation and slightly crampy. I hate the 2ww!

Well we have to go into swaying knowing that an opposite is a very good reality. Unless we go HT, there are no guarantees regardless of how well we swayed. I too am reminding myself of this as I regroup to get ready to sway when this bub is 5-6mo.
I can say it is hard to get BFN after BFN, but I think it is just circumstance and not always due to swaying. Hang in there and know it will happen for you. Just don't drop diet, exercise if you're doing it, and don't have more than 1 or 2 attempts in your fertile window (preferably just 1 [emoji6]), unless in your heart of hearts you will be over the moon to have another DS like I was [emoji4]!

FF finally gave me cross hairs and says that I o'd on cd16,so I am 5dpo today. Temping really distracted me from symptom spotting those first 5 days. Hahaha!!! I feel like I time traveled into the future 5 days. This is the first cycle that I've temped the whole time, in case I sound like a lunatic. :) My temp went up even higher today. Bobster - I'm 2dpo so we're pretty close! I am going to try to hold out until 12dpo and see if no AF then I will test. Unless I feel pretty strongly I am in fact pregnant.
Pbn- I don't know exactly what you're going through but I can imagine it is a tough decision to make. I think that's even without swaying - I see so many people who miscarry and weren't swaying; it is so scary. Then I remember all the successful pregnancies (swaying and not) and I begin to have more hope. Hang in there, and I agree with others about not switching up your sway yet, less your heart is in a good place for DS3 (but I'll gladly take a DS for you! :) ). Also, I felt a lot of "pressure day before O and was in crazy pain during O. Hope you're close!
Mommamia - yay!! Will you be the first of the group to test? Everything crossed for your RE appt Friday! And a BFP before then!
I'm just ready for a BFP. I have to remind myself that although we went off BC in October, I've only ovulated twice on my own, and now two Clomid cycles. So basically I've kind of only been TTC four cycles, and one was a CP. Tryinf to stay optimistic!

You certainly aren't alone. I'm only 32 but as far as I am concerned I might as well be staring down the barrel of menopause because I know that at 35 my odds of losses/chromosomal abnormalities goes up and given I already have had those issues there is a strong sense of urgency. Add to that the fact that I am establishing a pattern of loss a big part of me feels like we need to go "balls to the wall (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=balls+to+the+wall&defid=1153474)" in increasing fertility to try to get a sticky bean, which would be swaying boy 100%.
Your feelings don't diminish your sympathy for those involved, and their losses don't diminish your feelings. You are allowed to feel what you do.

Hi yaybaby I came across your first post in this aug 2ww thread and looks like we might be o buddies! I'm due to o Thursday or Friday got my first flashing smiley this morning! Lasr cycle I had two flashing b4 solid and cycle b4 that was three flashing b4 solid. Kinda hoping to o on friday which will be cd12 as worrying about oing so early in my cycle and therefore having much shorter cycles. Are you using opks and charting?
Hi Pbn, I am just now seeing your post! Like Taytum and hitme, I had to step away to avoid added stress in my life. A very close family member is going to pass any day now from a very quick but awful battle with cancer and I have enough stress in my life from that. I am due to O Thursday or Friday as well, hopefully it won't be delayed by all that is going on. I am using opks and charting, but haven't temped the whole cycle. I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling down about the whole swaying plan, I definitely have days like that as well, especially when I hear of friends who are experiencing a loss. Only you can decide what's best for you, but I would still try to keep at least a mild sway :)
I'm so glad to see some of you are relaxing with this terrible diet! I had to do the same. I'm still avoiding breakfast when I get up but I'm only waiting until 9am as I NEED coffee by that point and I NEED sweetener creamer in it so I don't want to drink black when I first get up. And if my husband makes breakfast for him and DS on the weekends, you better believe I'm going to be joining them. I'm trying to avoid snacking and red meat, but other than that I'm eating what I want. And I'm eating pop-tarts or cinnamon toast for breakfast instead of cereal and banana. That's the best I can do at this point. I like healthy food so this diet is awful for me.
Laurenk - My body seems to do exactly what you are describing. Every month around CD 13/14 I get a medium line on the opk tests, then a few days of barely there lines, then a + between CD 17-19. So definitely don't assume you won't O!

Last dose of clomid is down the hatch and I have the migraine to prove it (I have gotten a couple hot flashes but seem to be getting migraines this month in lieu of hot flashes). The wait to O has officially begun. Hopefully crushing them has helped and I will O sooner this cycle. It'd be nice as I have plenty to distract me for about a week, then I get to sit at home, no kids, nothing to do but kill time for the next week or two. Would like to NOT have to sit around waiting to O like last cycle.... except literally this time :giggle:

Thanks, Pbn3!!! I'm trying so hard not to get excited but it isn't working very well. Tomorrow we're taking the kids to a roller coaster park!!! That will definitely help me keep my mind off of ttc.

Some advice anyone? Think I may have stuffed up my opk testing. I'm using the cb dual and am now in day 4 of flashing smiley (previously months 3 then 2 last cycle). I started testing morning, lunch and night two days ago and after looking on internet you're supposed to use only once a day and now I think maybe I've confused it??? I have previously been testing with fmu as per directions and just once a day but after also reading you can ovulate as early as 12 hours after solid smiley I thought I'd start testing more lol just incase I had a surge the evening before. I'll try ring their helpline when it opens in a few hours just wondering if anyone's done the same and did it really matter testing multiple times during day, did you still get your solid smiley regardless?

Pbn3, I have always tested twice a day with the cb dual when it gets close to the day I think I should ovulate. I always get my solid smiley. Although, this month I got the solid earlier than anticipated but didn't O. So, I started testing with the other holder and got another solid a few days later. When you call, they will tell you to only use fmu but I know that my surge is very short, so I test every twelve hours in order to catch it. Good luck!! :)

I used those ovulation tests this cycle and I tested more then once a day. It says that you can test more then once a day once you get your High Fertility sign. I tested twice a day for two days then got a solid smiley that afternoon .

Thanks ladies!! I was just abit concerned as today (cd11) is the day I oed last cycle and I was fully expecting a solid this morning. Happy to o later though will give a longer cycle!

Oh what I wouldn't give to O on CD 11 (when TTC anyway... otherwise I don't mind my long cycles- more time AF-AF), lol.
I am debating disturbing this morning's temp.... been debating all day. Time wise it was fine and I got enough sleep before taking it BUT it is in my HIGH post-O range and I haven't been feeling great today. I can't decide what to do. Normally I'd prob disturb a temp that is THAT off grid given I am not feeling well without a second thought but I have read that clomid can make your temps higher. My temps were in normal range pre-O last cycle but with my tummy issues I am not even sure how much of it was absorbed so since I crushed the pills this time it makes me wonder if I absorbed it better this cycle and that is why my temp was so high this morning or if my temp was raised due to illness. I think I am going to wait until I have another temp or 2, see where they fall, before I decide. Not that it really matters since O is likely a long way off.
I am going out of town this weekend so I am trying to figure out my game plan there as well. I already know I have no intent to temp, I am not even bringing my therm. The big question is do I take OPKs with me. We'll be staying with a relative of DH's and they don't know we are TTC, plus the strips you have to pee in a cup for and it'd be hard to sneak in the bathroom with a cup lol. As far as the test trash, that is easy enough... that is what pockets are for, lol, but the cup situation does present an issue. Part of me doesn't want to bother with the hassle of it since the odds of me getting a surge are tenuous at best... essentially like 1 in 50 billion AND we BD'd tonight so the next BD wouldn't be until we get home on Sunday so it isn't like we could even do anything even if I got a surge. But I am supposed to start testing CD 11. I don't know. Not stressing it, just pondering. I have to start packing tomorrow so I am just trying to decide if I need to bother packing any. Honestly, I don't think I'll bother with it for all the reasons I've already said and because I have my follicle study Monday morning and that will give me a better idea of what is going on in there than an OPK will (No mature follicles=waiting for O, mature follicles = O potentially on the horizon).
Sorry I am babbling tonight. Just kinda thinking "out loud" and it's 1:15 am and I am still wide awake and bored lol. For once it isn't insomnia, it is the super long nap I took today, while the kids were in school, trying to feel better. If I don't get to sleep soon though there won't be a temp in the morning... again, not that it matters much. :sigh:
ETA: I am REALLY hoping to O by or before the 15th though as that is the cutoff point for avoiding being preggo in May. I'd be due in May but since I am a repeat c-section Mama they schedule the delivery a week or so before my due date so I could easily have them schedule me for April 29th or something. :fingers:
:fx: to all waiting to O or test :D
