Is anyone else about to test? How many dpo is everyone?

AFM, I still am not spotting or anything to indicate a miscarriage. I have been having horrible insomnia despite taking Unisom at night (for the morning sickness I've been having). That is a huge indicator of pregnancy for me. DH is convinced that this is just how my body does pregnancy, so he is incredibly mad at the nurse for continuing to flat out tell me I'm going to miscarry. I'm trying my best to keep my hopes up but I constantly think every twinge is the start of it. It's horrible. :( I hope you guys don't mind me waiting it out in here with you guys. I feel like somehow I'd jinx it if I went fully into the DD board.

I don't like that she flat out said that either!! Everybody's body is different. I could understand her giving you a warning or guard your heart type of answer but my goodness!!! My friend was going in for a d&c and she asked for one last ultrasound and there he was, his heart just a beating! He is now 3 years old. True story. Please stay around! :)

You said your #s are doubling every 77 hours, right? Or am I way off? I've always been told that as long as your #s are doubling every 2-3 days that your fine. I just did the math and 77 hours is 3.2 days. So that means every 3 days, 2 hours and 40 mins your # have doubled. If it is even longer the next time then your alarmist nurse *might*, and that's a BIG might, be worth giving consideration to. Right now you are on the cusp of what is considered normal. If you are still feeling symptoms, and not spotting or cramping excessively then try not to worry about it. I speak from experience when I say that if it's going to happen, it will happen. Stressing over the maybes won't change anything except ruin the first part of your preg if your nurse is talking out her arse and you carry to term. You might have signs, you might not. But until you have irrefutable evidence try to just keep on keeping on as you would if you didn't have the BW done because as you and your hubby said, you don't know that this isn't exactly how your body does with every pregnancy! Some people's hormones double at lightning speed, some go much slower. My DD was doomed from conception as she had a condition that is incompatible with life, and my hormones still doubled DAILY(..well close to it- every 25 hours). HCG doesn't always tell the whole story.

And you better stick around ;) We want all the preggy details so we can live vicariously, lol ;)

Thanks ladies! I am definitely holding out hope. My mom was supposed to have a d&c with her first pregnancy due to bleeding, but my mom decided she'd rather wait it out. Now my sister is 42!! :)

I know what you mean about not feeling preg. I mean there are a few small things like the headaches which I can explain away and my TTs being sore which could just be prog (they normally aren't this bad, but they have been much worse). Other than that, I got a big gaping whole of nothing lol. But like you said, there is still time for you to get your BFP! :fx:

I am only 5 dpo and no signs yet!lol I had all kinds of twinges last month just knowing I was Preggo and none of that has happened so far. I will say I am getting light headed A LOT. Every time I bend over I feel I go dizzy. Other than that nothing, it's very early. But I had every symptom in the book last month so I'm not banking on symptoms anyway.

I'm trying to get up the "want to" to start school tomorrow. Last week when I went to get my books (on Thurs.) I was gung-ho. But the last 2-3 days I just don't want to do ANYTHING. I have like zero motivation. I am arguing with myself (figuratively of course) trying to get up the gumption to go take a shower.... Tomorrow is not something I am looking forward to lol. Which is odd because it has to come for me to be able to test lol. Unfortunately, 9 hours of lectures kinda over shadows the faint possibility of a BFP. *sigh* Anyway, so if I don't check in much tomorrow, now you know why :)

It lasted for about 30 mins and went away completely after I finally threw up. 0.o I've never had that happen before! Any ideas on what it was? It came on just as quickly as it was over.

First lightning crotch and now lightning butt... we are quiet the "shocking" group lol ;) :giggle: Honestly, I don't know... TMI question but have you #2'd recently? Maybe the pressure of you getting sick, or fighting getting sick, activated your bowel for a short bit??

Momamia- Another question... is your tummy on the sensitive side normally? I ask because nausea+cramping+ shooting pains sounds a lot like what I deal with with my tummy issues (which are much more sensitive when preg)... throw in fainting or feeling like I'm going to faint and reverse the direction relief heads and it would sound exactly the same. So, it makes me wonder... If you normally have a sensitive tummy (not necessarily messed up like mine, just sensitive to certain food types for example) then it may be worse now that you are preg and you may be reacting to something you ate or drank, even if it's something that normally doesn't bother you... Just a thought :)

I tried to go to a GI specialist to figure out what was causing it but all he did was give me meds to treat the symptoms that I complained about. I think you're right about the pregnancy making them worse. I ate some Taco Bell for lunch and it didn't sit well. I think it might have been a combination of me doing too much this weekend and the Taco Bell. I think it was just too much for my body to handle. A few months ago, I went to a naturopath who wants me to do a full panel of food sensitivity testing. Unfortunately, my insurance doesn't cover it and it's expensive. I'm hoping I'll be able to get it done in another month or so. I am really sick of feeling sick all the time and I really believe that eliminating trigger foods will really help me. BTW, LMAO about the "shocking" group thing!!!!!

Yes, being preg and TTC def complicates things as far as what you can do. I normally have an arsenal of anti-spasmodics, gass relief meds, etc. Which, as you know, can't be used if there is a chance of preg. Sorry to hear you have issues too :(

Netti I bought a pack of 50 cheap from an aussie website fertility2family I think it was and got only one positive and 49 negatives lol. Moved straight onto the dual digital from there. More expensive but they work - for me anyway. Had some issues last cycle with them but I was over testing and think I buggered it. Using again next cycle but will stick to proper use as the two cycles prior they didn't miss a beat :)

It's okay. I honestly expected it. I started getting AF cramps again yesterday. At first I tried to tell myself it was just my tummy acting up again but after awhile I kinda knew. I had DH go pick up my scripts for next cycle (the clomid... and I was out of FA too) yesterday afternoon. So, I'll be preg in may.... not loving the thought but it is what it is. Funny part is that if we conceive next cycle I'll be due less than a week from my youngest's b-day and prob deliver just a couple weeks before it. If not then the next cycle I am looking at being due around MY b-day and if we have to go for round 5 TTC I'll be due around DS#1's b-day. As you can prob tell all our b-days are clustered together. Dh in April, losses in May, DS #3 in June, me in July and DS #1 in August. So, unless it takes 6+ months of TTC to get preg, the baby will be due around SOMEBODY'S b-day :D

Lol, it's weird how that stuff sticks with you and how it works out sometimes.

I find it amusing how the # patterns worked out with DS #1&3's b-days. DS #1 was born 8/7/06 (8, 7, 6) & DS #3 was born 6-4-10 (6+4=10) lol. And it wasn't planned that way lol. Doc picked the day both times! Well, actually with #3 we were given the choice of the 4th or the 7th and I wasn't about to be stuck in the hosp on DH and I's anniversary so we chose the 4th but i didnt think about the #s until after, lol. Less amuzing is loss # 1 (ds#2) was concieved just before Christmas and loss #2 (DD #1) was due just before Christmas. Its odd how this stuff works out ...

Ain't Flo showed today for me which gave me a 28 day cycle which has never happened for me! I always have weird 30,32,34 day cycles.
I really hope next month is our month!

Oh AND I've temped two days in a row and both days was the exact same.... As I'm guessing it should be.

AFM - So just thought I would send an update on this post:


I haven't been posting much but have been following. You ladies are all so close to finding out if you'll get your BFP! FX for all of you still waiting to test.

AFM - I'm starting to get worried. I might have jumped to soon adding myself to the due date club and posting my sway attempt. My temp is falling and this morning's wondfo test isn't any darker than Wed night's. I'm going to use another FRER tomorrow morning and hope it's much darker than the test I took on Tuesday morning. Cross those fingers extra tight for me!

The top pic is from this morning...


My temp jumped back up to 98.6 the next morning (Saturday). I opened up a new box of FRERs and was disappointed to find that they were those new curvy "comfort" tests. There was a line but at 15 dpo, it wasn't much darker than the line on the old style FRER at 11 dpo. So of course I worried the entire day. I went out to my local drugstore that night to see if I could find the old style of FRER tests. Luckily I found a 2-pack. Tested the next morning and the line was nice and dark. So while I'm feeling more positive, I'm going to be anxious until I get blood test results. I have an endocrinologist appointment this afternoon regarding my thyroid issues and I'm going to ask (beg) her to test my hcg level as well. Should I also ask for another lab order for 2 days from now to make sure the numbers are doubling? I feel like doctors are so stingy with wanted to do any kind of testing that the patient asks for, at least that's how it seems where I'm at.

Yaybaby, I have to keep repeating the blood tests until my levels get up to 2000 and then I get to have an ultrasound. I'm really hoping that happens this week. I've been trying to will my body to produce more hcg, lol!!! Honestly though, I've been trying my best to not think about the low levels. DH read that stress can effect your hcg levels, so I've been trying to relax. It's proving very difficult! I took my digital hpt today and was very happy with the result as I feel it's right on target! The 2-3 means weeks since ovulation and I'm 3 weeks 2 days since ovulation. It makes me feel better even though I know it's a range.

I don't really want a May due date because it's the end of the school year and that means I don't get much maternity leave, maybe 3 weeks. If I have a baby in the summer, I can take 12 weeks at the beginning of the year. Of course, after my last ttc fiasco with dd2, I would love to get pregnant fast again!!

One interesting thing atomic told me was to stop feeling and acting so defeated in the 2ww because it's a recipe for another girl. I've noticed a lot of boy moms here seem so confident in the 2ww so I'm going to take a tip from you guys and go through the 2ww expecting I'll end up pregnant. You all seem to get pregnant fast so you must be doing something right!

My sister (a girl mom) generally has a negative outlook during her 2ww's. It's just the way she perceives everything. It's almost like she focuses on the worst so that if something better happens, she can be excited about it. I am the opposite. I have a positive outlook and like to focus on the best outcome. I generally am not sad when something other than what I was hoping for happens because that's life. I wonder if somehow it's related to our natural tendency towards boys or girls. It's intriguing to think about! Thanks for bringing it up! :)

Quinn - I hope there is some truth to your statement because I've been feeling defeated every month lol. But I remember feeling the same when we had DS so who knows. My lifestyle is normally very boy friendly though so that probably has more to do with it.

Don't be sorry at all! I'm glad I could see another perspective. I've been pregnant fast twice and slow once. I'm just starting our second month ttc so there's no need for me to panic already.

I love that people have a positive perspective and I wish I naturally did too. I'm going to assume I'm pregnant this next 2ww!!

It can happen from time to time but is more common when not using a basal therm. Are you using a BBT therm or regular therm?

That is what Atomic said to me so it's a little different than how I relayed it to you. I think it's just a girl mom's tendency to think it's not good enough and be full of anxiety. I'm sure everyone feels stressed during the 2ww but maybe we take it to the extreme in a negative way and boy mom's get stressed but still think they'll get a bfp? I'm not sure but I know I've been an anxious mess this time and I'm really trying to turn it around.

Today was SUCH a long day! I am a little shocked AF didn't show today because I have been uber-cramping all day. BUT I just checked my cervix and it's still closed up tight as a drum and firm, so today will not be the day. It's looking like I might be getting a 27 or 28 day cycle, depending on when AF shows. Just praying that AF isn't as brutal as the ones have been since my D&C in May. Praying I've healed enough to AT LEAST be halfway better... something where Aleve is enough and I don't have too pull out the BIG guns. For one I am almost out of them! Normally a bottle (30 day supply) of Rx painkiller will last months, sometimes even a year or more. I am not a big pain killer person, I don't like the way they make me feel. BUT since May I have gone through a bottle of 800 mg motrin and a half bottle of tramadol, all almost exclusively during AF though I did take 1 pill of tramadol a day for 3 days around O this cycle. SMH. So, an Aleve suitable AF would be welcome relief!! This slow healing non-sense has worn out its welcome :giggle:

I ended up seeing my endocrinologist yesterday for my annual thyroid check up. I asked if she would test my hcg since I was going for a blood test for my thryoid levels anyways. Well I was 4w, 4d yesterday and my level is only 111. They didn't say anything about doing another test for tomorrow so I called back and requested it so we'll see what happens. I have an appointment with my midwife on Thursday so at least I'll be having another blood test at that point. Ughhhh I'm going to be way too stressed these next few days.

Yeah, I freaked out when my levels at 4w3d was 20,562! Two days later they were 23,083!!! My dates were spot on and we only have one cooking in there!! I was worried for different reasons!!!

With my DS2, he was a slow cooker as say! My levels were slow to rise and he is a healthy 2yr old!!!

AFM, I called my RE's office about an hour ago and requested that they put a note in my chart for the nurse not to mention miscarriage. I told them all it does is cause me extreme stress for 4 days until I go in and get tested again. If it's going to happen, it's going to happen whether or not the nurse "warns me." The office woman was very nice and kept apologizing. She said she would put a note in my chart for me. Now, to sit here and wait for the results. Hopefully they'll call in the next hour. FX for high numbers! :D

Momamia, in regards to that range - this has to depend on when implantation occurs right? So maybe if implantation occurs at 12 dpo, then the numbers could be on the lower end of that range at 4 weeks (14 dpo) pregnant. But I would think if I got a clear positive at 10 dpo, then hcg probably had to be at least 25 at that point for it to be detected on an HPT, then my number should be higher than 111 at this point.

Sorry ladies if I shouldn't be posting this kind of thing in this forum! Hope its ok, or let me know if I should head over to the due date club or elsewhere...

My doubling time was a little slower this time at 86.99 hours. I am 24dpo today. I'm still holding onto hope that everything will be fine. At the rate, I don't think I'll be having my ultrasound for at least another week and a half.

Ive had abit of spotting this morning completely baffled as to what it could be.....im cd 25 never had a cycle this short in my life. I don't have any cramps with it atm so ill sit patiently for a few days before i test. I was going to get one this morning but ill wait and bake a chocolate cake instead and see how my day goes.

So, no AF today, but I honestly have no idea when to expect it. This will be my first charted cycle where O can be precise pinpointed AND nothing to interfere with AF arrival. First ever clomid cycle wasn't charted, second was charted but O could have been either of 2 days- one making my LP 10 days and the other making it 14 days... then last cycle was a CP that was 15 days... almost 16.. if AF started an hour later I would have had a 16 day LP. So I am going with a 14 day LP but I honestly don't know. Just checked my CP and just like yesterday it is still low, firm and closed tight as a drum so it won't be showing tonight.

Did something I prob shouldn't have but given I'm 99.99999999999999% sure AF is coming I took some meds to relieve my suffering. I took my anti-spasm pill due to tummy issues and an Aleve. Yes! Very! The anti-spasm meds knocked out the AF cramps as well as the intestinal spasms caused by my tummy issues and the aleve took the edge off my headach. So I have essentially been painless since I caved and took the meds.

I feel like I sound so whiney and like a pain woose but I promise this is not normal for me! Normally, I don't deal with a lot of pain and can cope when I do but lately for some reason it seems to to have gone from "sneaky toddler" to a cranky "teen" with an FU mentality lol. SMH. I don't know why... would love to know, but I guess it is what it is.

Netti I think the le diet can alter your cycle. I went from having 28-30 day cycles to 23,24,25 and 26 day cycles. Last cycle back up to 27 cycle b4 that was 23. Just gotta roll with it I say lol! I refuse to waste any more energy/stress wondering why and am just taking it as it comes :)

Im only wearing a liner and its had about the size of a 50c piece, but it seems a little brighter now. I have a new liner on and so far just a 10c size, TMI but theres more when i wipe than on the liner, could be AF making a grand slow entrance. Will have to see how the next day goes.

Was there someone here with some bleeding earlier in the thread that had a positive hpt? If it doesn't get heavier the rest of the day im tempted to get some hpts just to see. Either that or i wish it would hurry up so i can move onto next cycle

Well, my cervix is softening and opening in prep for AF so it should be long now. I am 14 DPO today... so weird to say that btw. Usually if I make it to 14 DPO I'm preggers! Anyway, as I was saying- I'm 14 DPO and given my cervix is starting to shift I am expecting AF either this evening or sometime tomorrow. Not looking forward to it but unfortunately it's the only way I can start my next cycle. Boooooooo :thumbsdown:

Hoping next cycle will be like this one, with an early O but kinda hoping for 2 follies. I'm not trying for twins (very open to twins though) but 2 follicles equals twice the chance that we catch at least one and one sticks. We shall see though. Have to call once AF shows to schedule another follicle study. Haven't gotten a bill yet so I have no idea if ins is paying anything toward them but they are worth the money to eliminate some of the guess work and frustration.

It can happen from time to time but is more common when not using a basal therm. Are you using a BBT therm or regular therm?

It is an app I've used for years. Just started their temping part this month. It's called woman log. I def may use ff if the month is bfn.

Negative for me. I went ahead and tested this morning after a very slight temp drop and AF Cramps in the middle of the night. I will probably take a week break while I scrape my heart off the floor. We had two good attempts right at positive OPK so not sure what's going on. With both boys we got pregnant quickly. This is just month two but I still get worried.

Anyway, I'll be back. I pray you girls get your BFP this month. Best of luck ladies! See yall in the September 2ww in a few days.

7dpo well i dont chart so going off +opk then counting next day as O and next day as 1dpo so I could be as much as 8-9dpo or as little as 5-6dpo. Who knows.Just got a 3pk of tests. It's all will power now lol. Even got $3 off coupon.
