Hopper- ive had sensitive bbs the last week putting it to hormones too as im thinking its going to be an early O this time rather than cd21.

Cd9 here. Testing with an opk this afternoon as I think O is going to sneak up on me this time. Its mine and dhs anniversary today 13 years. I had to share an xmas pic of my boys.

Our cycles seems to be fairly similar netti in that the change is liable to sneak up on us, my cycles have always been on the longer side generally between 31-35 days so having a shorter cycle (or seemingly shorter one anyway!) feels weird! I usually don't O til CD20/21 and today is CD13. My LP is 13 days so it would be a very short cycle for me if I O today or tomorrow!

DH and I had our 13 year anniversary in August (while on vacation at Disney World where they upgraded us to theme park view room at the Contemporary!!!)

AFM on CD13, my nipples just seem to be permanently hard today though a lot less sensitive than yesterday and an achy feeling kinda like AF but I'm presuming its O coming on?! I always have gotten O pains but I think being on LE for so long has my body all messed up. Our eldest has a vomiting bug at the moment so hoping the youngest doesn't catch it so our attempt later can go as planned! Feeling a little queasy myself right now so hoping I don't catch it either!!! Its always something!

I bought these ones too. Its my first month trying and I am on CD16 and still nothing is showing up that makes me think is positive or working. In the morning I get a faint, and I mean very faint line and by the same time every afternoon, you can hardly see a line. I started testing on CD7 with these exact ones. I am worried that they are not working and that I have missed my chance, although I have not had any other symptoms yet. This is also my first month off the BCP, so maybe my cycle is messed up - who knows, but I am getting a little frustrated waiting for a positive OPK.

Pinkpony- your cycles may take a while to get regular off the bcp. I only usually test once a day in the afternoon. I do have some first response opks just to confirm. I used both today and they were both about the same

It was lovely - but expensive lol. I hate long cycles too excecpt last month the shorter cycle took me by complete surprise!! I've went from 140lbs to 121lbs (ish! I go from 122 to 120 constantly so 121 is the average lol) so I'm sure thats had an effect on my cycle too. I've never been this light, though I can't seem to shift the mummy tummy!!! I've given up cardio and gone couch potato cause I just don't have the time to dedicate to the cardio. Hoping my sway is still good!! Ordered some IC opks online but the postal strike means they might not arrive before I O judging by the super sore boobs and O pains!! We are doing E4D so dtd on Friday meaning today is our next attempt day.

Purple how did the ultrasound go?

The scan shows I haven't ovulated which I thought was the case but it also showed I have no dominate follies at the moment so still awhile away from ovulating :(

I will call my Dr tomorrow so she can check the results of the scan and the bloods. She will then organise the referral for me and I just have to wait for the 30th of October. If I ovulate around day 32 like last cycle I could then have just started AF for the appointment so I wonder if they will give me clomid?

I've been a stay at home mom since DS1 arrived in 2012 but recently started getting back into freelancing from home so now I have two companies I write for - one is a small magazine distributed in my locality and nearby cities and the other is a very popular mommy website. The long time goal is to write (and publish lol!) a book but right now with the boys taking up most of my time I can't get into the mindset of doing much more than writing short pieces. Its a dream come true being paid to do something I love while staying home with the boys :)

Girls, I'm wondering if maybe we might have missed the egg this month?!! BBs are not sore, just very soft but not sore at all now. CM is clear but had a teeny tiny bit of EWCM this morning when I was cramping. DTD on Friday night around 11.30pm, due to dtd again tonight which MIGHT be too late. If I just bite the bullet and get the expensive CB smiley opks (the ones with the smileys for 2 days not 4 days cause they are just WAY beyond my budget in the pharmacy) will they possibly still give me a smiley even if I Oed this morning? And IF I did O what are our chances with an O-4 (well O-3.5 even)?

So I now think that FF has my O day off by 3 days. It says I'm 14dpo, but I think I'm actually only 11dpo. I may do a cheapie test today. Don't want to waste another FRER. My LP is usually 13 days with a temp drop on 12dpo. My temps are still high.

Boyz that still looks good to me. I think the concern right now is if it's getting lighter. That happened during my chemical.

My af is due Friday and I really want to know. I'm not going to test until then but I feel like my cramps are different than normal. I might be just trying to convince myself though. These days are going to drag!!

I just did a cheapie HPT and it's BFN. I'm pretty sure I'm 11dpo and not 14dpo. If my temp is still high tomorrow then I may do a FRER. If I'm really only 11dpo then AF isn't due till Friday. I have cramps and low back pain. If FF is right and I'm 14dpo today, then AF is due today.

Got the CB smiley opks and got a negative! Which has me a little confused as I am getting really bad crampy pains which I always assume are O! How many days before O should I see a smiley? Am thinking that maybe we will skip the E4D method this month and just dtd at +opk, kids being sick and really unsettled is definitely making me want to skip it tonight!! If I got a -opk I'm presuming I could still skip tonight and continue with E4D tomorrow if we wanted, right? Sorry for being so clueless, my body just seems so messed up at the minute!

How frustrating for you hopper, maybe you were just gearing up and haven't ovulated yet? If there is no smiley I would think you would be ok to skip tonight and do it tomorrow or else wait for your smiley?

Sorry for butting in. Hopper, you always get a negative on the first test with the CB smiley. It's just how it works. So, in future cycles you'll want to start using the CB digital a few days before you think you're going to O. I would definitely bd tonight and continue your E4D pattern. I personally always got the smiley on the day of ovulation. Good luck!! :)

Yea abstaining or every 4 days would be fine Id imagine! I think the idea is that you don't BD any less than every 4 days but any longer than that is ok? I'm still new so def not an expert though!! X

I so did not know that so I will continue e4d this cycle and make sure to use the CB ones earlier in my cycle next month, if needed (hey a girl can dream right!) DH is less than impressed I've changed my mind and want to dtd tonight, he's claiming to be feeling ill now! Hmmm, he can suck it up lol!!

ETA: I just checked my cervical position and CM. CP seems to be rising (it was lower the other day when I checked) and soft, feels a little open I think but don't want to mess too much as I know it's sensitive) CM is wet and clear, not stretchy but I don't seem to get EWCM the past few cycles of being on LE. Feeling nervous this could be the real deal! I was planning on laying down for about 5 mins after wards (and firmly making sure I do not O!!) And then J&D. What do you girls think?

Boyzmommy, was your first test a different brand? The line looks good for a cheapy test but best to compare the same brand.. although it's probably best not to compare as there are too many variables like urine stength that change how dark the line is.

I have been working full-time since DS2 was about 16 months, DH lost his job so I found one first. It was definitely interesting swapping roles for awhile. Lately he has also been working full-time which is hard work with kids.
I like working but would much rather be part time so I would request to go part time on my return... I'm also considering asking to go 4 days next year when DS2 is in pre-school.

Busy day mopping floors. My last night home before work begins AGAIN...

im a registered nurse working 3 nights a week. I work in a nursing home now the shift work in hospitals was just too much on the kids and having a routine. I would still love to be in the hospital as i miss out on some skills but you have to do what you have to do.

I have started getting ewcm. Last cycle was mainly watery gearing up to O week next week 😃 yahoooo

Thanks poptart. I think it has something to do with being so sick as to why i had so little. Ive been battling a chest infection, yet as we've been ttc the past few months ive stayed away from the abs. I think it's slowly leaving my body and i hope it stays that way. Problem is the O is not til next week. I think my ovaries have been producing some nice big follicles and likely multiple these last few months as the O pains when I have a positive opk have taken my breath away.

I have copied a link to a fbook page on a beautiful Perth family. This young couple had 3 boys all under 3. They decided one more would complete their family. Well one more turned into 3!!!!

There were 2 boys and 1 precious little girl. They were born at 28 weeks and the 2 boys were quite a good size however the girl was considerably smaller. She is definitely a little fighter and they are all at home now. Reading through the posts brought tears to my eyes. Worth a read xx

Essnse what a wonderful job!! I would love to be a doula or midwife or anything to do with childbirth or babies!! I'm all for empowering childbirth as so many of my in laws and friends have had bad experiences for some reason or another. I would loved a home birth but at the moment we are not living in a designated home birthing area!! We are moving though so could be a possibility for #3 ;)

I don't know where you guys are from but if you have superdrug stores then their tests are supposed to be really sensitive and much cheaper than FR! I have 3 in my baby drawer with an abundance of IC too! I think if my temp had shot up more today I would have caved by now for sure! Haha

It was so hard - pun intended haha!) And the solid smiley is there this morning in theory I should O within the next 24-48 hours right?

Lol thanks pun :) Never used them before so complete newbie here lol. We made our attempt last night (well midnight so only like 9 hours ago now) I'll do another tomorrow to see if it's still smiley. Should it go straight to nothing or would it be flashing if O has happened? I had nothing on it yesterday (and the perverse part of me 're-tested last night before dtd just to see and it was still nothing) but very sharp jabbing pains in my right side about an hour or so after dtd. That was hardly O though?

Hopper once you get a solid smiley you wont be able to test again for 2 days and it will take it as a new cycle reading. That's why they are supposed to be the stress free version :) fx for you you're timing sounds great!

I caved and tested on an ic at 11 or 12 dpo. It's bfn but I tried to imagine lines I think. I remember reading if you get a negative at 11dpo it will probably stay that way which has always been true for me. I'm so sad. I really wanted this month. Af is due today-Friday but most likely tomorrow or Friday.

Gosh it feels a little surreal, I "shouldn't" be Oing til the weekend so was expecting our proper attempt to be then! All we did was DH on top, no O for me and lay down for about 5 mins before j&d. I had wanted to have a drink and a shower and have dh take a bath to help the sway but what will be will be.
Any idea when I can count dpo from? TWW will be the longest ever!!!

My cycle has been crazy since having DS2 iin Feb 2014. Came back after only 4 weeks post partum and was irregular to start then I went on Zoloft for anxiety and it messed them up even more. Lengthened them to 31-35 day cycles generally, I had always been 30/31 since teen years. Then started LE on May 1st and weaned off Zoloft slowly over the summer, finished that in August. Had AF on Aug 26th, expected the usual 31+ day cycle but was only 28 which totally caught me by surprise! We were doing e4d but didn't catch the egg so hoping this month might be our month. Would absolutely LOVE a summer baby!!

Then the next day had a super obvious line on an IC, tested with CB digi later and was Pregnant 1-2! Everything crossed you have a similar outcome with your little man ;) x

I didn't get a positive with DS2 until I was 21DPO!! I thought I was going crazy because I felt pregnant! My dating scan confirmed my O date was what I knew it to be- he just was a slow cooker!!! Ironically, he came 4 days early, and I was the least sick with MS with him too!!

Well with DS2 I got my BFP at 9dpo, actually I got +opk on May 21 and bfp on May 30 on a FRER so possibly it was less depending on when I actually Oed!! Hopefully you are still in with a shot Quinn :) Keeping everything crossed for you!

Both of mine I found at 5 days after my period was due and funnily enough they were both 5 days late born within half hour of each other too! I always test flat out, early on but the one month I didn't with 2 I was actually preg! I drive myself nuts with it! And each and every month I say I'm not going to... Yawn! I know everyone says it and it doesn't comfort me.. But you're not out til AF shows! X

What I do know though, is I felt "off" when I fell preg with my first and my boobs hurt but I thought I couldn't be with my second as I felt nothing at all but did an opk which was blazing positive so then a hpt which was positive too! So I reckon he was a late implanter cos it hit me like a ton of bricks a week or so later

For me, I went ahead and overrode FF, putting me at 12dpo today instead of 15. My temp didn't drop today, but I'm not sure if I want to waste another FRER. The last one I took ended up being too early as I was only 9dpo.

Do you ladies think I should try clomid? It didn't work last time. I took three rounds of Clomid then I took Clomid and two IUI's The cycle I got pregnant I had an HSG, Clomid, and an IUI so I tend to think it was the HSG that helped.

Well, I've only tracked about a dozen cycles total and it's been all over. Cd 14, 27, 11, 13, 22 and 19 on the last 6 I tracked. I got 4 days of dark positive last cycle and a faint line of varying strength pretty much all cycle.

It makes it so much harder to try and pinpoint O or even work out some sort of schedule. FX it happens for both if us soon

So far today I've done a frer this morning at 5.30, a pregnosis at 10.30 and a clear blue non digi this arvy at 2.30 :( all stark bfns. I'm saving my last frer for morning 10dpo and will be left with one cb digital and non digi for 11dpo. Then I can finally admit defeat.

Yes *trying to hold my bladder 😆 gets abit hard sometimes after 4 big boys hehe. But im cleaning bathrooms atm so ill likely try and hold for another hour or 2.

Just copied another link. a mother in Perth (again) pregnant with quintuplets!! She had some fertility issues (she had only been trying since feb this year though) so im unsure if she was on fertility meds. At 7 dpo her hcg was 95 and at 5 wks 4 days her hcg was 195000! I think any more than three id faint!!

Purple your question earlier about if I was tempted to try one more cycle has really had me thinking today. When I went and had bw done back in early may to make sure I was still ovulating I told my gp (of 10years) I only had until December to conceive and she said if I didn't fall pregnant by September then we could reassess and start looking into other options (I dont think she meant clomid maybe monitored cycles with u/s or have semen analysis done???) I haven't been back to see her but thinking I might make an appointment just to see what she actually had in mind. I would have to fudge the truth a little and say we had multiple attempts each cycle but I'm starting to get curious as to what she meant by other options?? I hate the thought of lying to her she has been our family doctor for so long but my curiosity is starting to get the better of me!!!!!

Yeah I really don't know Purple maybe she was just placating me as I was pretty upset at the time lol. I'd told her I'd been monitoring my cycles for the previous 4 months or so and all my opks were coming back negative hence the bw, I had one pos opk out of 49, they were opks I got from an Australian fertility website so I assumed they would do the job, obviously not lol hence me moving onto digitals which were awesome. She told me to stop using opks, stop charting and just go at it in my fertile window...... of course I didn't do this lol I'm swaying pink!!!!

That's ok. It's those stupid internet cheapies I always think I see things too but ive said to myself if I need to tilt or start squinting.. There's nothing there! To save disappointment. Not that it stops me doing both of those things [emoji16]
None of my friends or DH for that matter, know or understand what it's like. They've all come off of birth control and been pregnant within two months, usually the first month! My SIL got frustrated when she wasn't pregnant the first month she was prescribed clomid as she did the first time she took it, the second cycle it took 2 cycles to catch. That was confusing...! her first son she fell first cycle. And she's currently preg with a girl who took her 2 cycles [emoji23] so she knows it is simply an ovulation issue with her and they will give her clomid and monitor her straight away. Ive been told my problems are hormonal, probably knock-on effects from my dodgy thyroid as anatomically im fine!

It does make it so special when it does.. Finally.. Happen but I'm sure the stress of it all decreases our chances further! Vicious circle!

I do have one good friend with ashermans syndrome so she definitely understands as she is awaiting treatment and surgery for that but her prognosis will eventually be good. Id love for us to fall pregnant around the same time. She is becoming my youngest sons God mother this Sunday [emoji4]

I hear ya! My second oldest sister said when I was pregnant with ds1 that us sisters (there's 3 of us) were meant to make and have babies. My oldest sister only had to be looked at by her dh and she was pregnant! All 3 were oopsies! My other sister fell first month ttc then second month ttc her two boys but me - I took 4 months with first and that was many many attempts each cycle, ds2 took 6 months charting using opks etc. I had emergency c section with ds1 so had scheduled c section with ds2 so NO we were not all made to concieve and have babies naturally and it just rubs salt in the wound that I cant be like them :(

Pbn- i believe its worth talking to yourndoc but also staying in the game a bit longer. It usually takes 6 months as they say and with one attempt we have lowered that chance but it wouldn't hurt to investigate things with bloodwork, ultrasounds or semen analysis. Whatever you decide though i wish you all the best xxx but im still hoping for a bfp this cycle 😊

Yes my mum was a walking fertility textbook! I had a sister when I was 15 as she went away for a week and she forgot her pills! Ive not been on any birth control since having my baby 6 months ago and have been timing etc for 3 months already! Most people say I'm mad with a baby but it's because I don't want a big gap and I know I'm gonna be in for the long haul like I was for 18 months before I fell with number 2!

I am 10dpo today but don't feel even remotely pregnant plus my temps are shocking since that nosedive which can't be normal. I'm going for blood work in the next month so will show my GP then.

That dip you're referring to looked so similar to 'Taytums' the previous cycle I was so excited for you! If you get a chance have a look in earlyish sep 2ww and you should see it. She got her bfp just after me (ended up cp obviously) I think around page 60-80 of thread from memory?

I conceived DS1 with clomid first round (after a super long cycle) although the dr didn't think pcos then so will be interesting to see that the new fertility specialist says. I'm hoping clomid does the trick again :)

Yep and that's why I'm so thankful for my boys especially the 1st who gave us quite the scare!! Purple I hope you're able to get whatever you need to achieve that elusive bfp it seems this month!!
And poptart its fine!! I had a good line at 7dpo last cycle that slowly got lighter until I could only just make it out at 10dpo. It was my own fault for testing so early but of course I didn't learn my lesson! In a weird way I'm glad my tests have been flat out bfns so I haven't had to go through that again :)

I would love smaller age gaps but DH is adamantly against them lol. There is 23 months between our boys and if we got lucky this cycle there would be a minimum of 28 almost 29 months between DS2 and DC3.

Pb, I think you should definitely talk to your doctor. Sometimes, it can be the easiest fix. For my sister it was taking something to help improve her egg quality, not clomid.

If it took longer with your boys I just wouldn't stop quite yet. I know you were at peace with your decision at the beginning of the month and I need to shut my mouth!lol I just want you to get your BFP though. :)

I thought I was out the month I got my BFP with this bub. I didn't get a pos opk either, got cross hairs on CD12, and no other signs or symptoms. Bam, BFP at what FF said was 10-12 DPO!!

Purple your question earlier about if I was tempted to try one more cycle has really had me thinking today. When I went and had bw done back in early may to make sure I was still ovulating I told my gp (of 10years) I only had until December to conceive and she said if I didn't fall pregnant by September then we could reassess and start looking into other options (I dont think she meant clomid maybe monitored cycles with u/s or have semen analysis done???) I haven't been back to see her but thinking I might make an appointment just to see what she actually had in mind. I would have to fudge the truth a little and say we had multiple attempts each cycle but I'm starting to get curious as to what she meant by other options?? I hate the thought of lying to her she has been our family doctor for so long but my curiosity is starting to get the better of me!!!!!
Don't lie. Just say nothing unless she asks (mine never has) and if she dies ask simply answer that you had "multiple well timed attempts" as in multiple cycles with a well timed attempt. She'll assume you meant each cycle and you don't have to lie. ;)

I'll think about it over weekend but I cant imagine there's anything that can be done before next cycle that would be beneficial. IF we did get pregnant next cycle it would be the last time a due date would be before dh 45th and he won't go over that. I actually could see the relief in his eyes when I said we're pretty much out, he only went along with this because of me in the first place. Also I've been completely off the diet since o again for the third 2ww in a row so my sway is already wishy washy. I think if we give it a last shot I'd essentially be swaying blue as I'd almost have to go for multiple attempts plus my diet is back to boy friendly now... I'm a little lost and all over the place, one minute I'm fine and moving on planning study etc the next minute I just cant believe I'll never feel a baby growing inside me again and it nearly brings me to tears. I just dont know two - thanks for letting me get that off my chest, you and everyone else here are so supportive and wonderful

Boyzmommy, with my last pregnancy, I had pain in my left side too. It was really annoying and kind of stabby. It turned out that my corpus luteum was huge and the cause of the pain. My doctor said it's a good sign of a strong pregnancy as the corpus luteum produces progesterone until the placenta can take over. TaytumJ had the same complaint early in her pregnancy. I'm sure she'd be happy to talk to you about it. :)

My doctor said it's a good sign of a strong pregnancy as the corpus luteum produces progesterone until the placenta can take over. TaytumJ had the same complaint early in her pregnancy. I'm sure she'd be happy to talk to you about it. :)

It could be a lot of things. So much is clustered in the lower abdomin. I won't tell you to relax, because I couldn't, but do try to give it some time and maybe make an appointment instead of going to the ER that way you won't get rush treatment (in the slowest manner possible, lol).

Boyzmommy, I have a stabbing pain with all my pregnancies. Including this one. dS2 was on the right side and this is stabbing on the left side. I was so convinced I was having an ectopic with ds2 I went in for blood work. Obviously everything was fine! I was having it like crazy yesterday.

Just thought I'd share a pic of an evap line I got on my 7dpo frer test. This was after the test had dried. Needless to say it got me abit excited however after a couple hours the line was completely colourless. Well, DH has been saying he really, really didn't want to ttc anymore but it would be fine if I did get preggo. So, we weren't planning it. My OB said we can try again as soon as we want, since I passed everything on my own. I think the miscarriage was a result of my blood clotting disorder (MTHFR). If I do get pregnant again, I'm definitely going to go to a MFM. I'm also switching OB's. I wasn't very happy with the way my OB handled the situation and I don't think she believes that I actually have a blood clotting disorder :rollseyes: because she keeps saying, "You're too young to have problems like that." WTF does that even mean? Obviously, I'm extremely frustrated with her and am not fond of her passive way of providing care. I'm going to do some research, just in case, to see if I can find a doctor who will actually treat me properly. From my research, I need to be receiving Heparin shots daily while pregnant in order to avoid a miscarriage. She keeps referring to my past successful pregnancies where I wasn't on blood thinners, but at that point (10+ years ago) I also wasn't yet hospitalized for 3 TIA's (they're strokes without the long term effects of them and how my blood clotting disorder was discovered). My disorder is clearly much worse now, which I think would dictate additional protective measures. You know? Sorry for the long answer. :oops:

Pbn3, I really super hope you get a surprise bfp this cycle. I've been following along, so I know how hard you're trying. I know exactly how you feel about not ttc anymore. I am struggling with the same thing. One minute I'll be thinking of moving on with my life and doing things I can't do with a new baby, and the next I'm crying because I'll never have my DD. It's a very difficult thing to deal with. It makes me much more sympathetic to my mom, who keeps trying to get me to carry an adopted embryo for her (she had a hysterectomy a few years ago which triggered her desire for another kid despite being 62 and having 4 DD's and 2 DS's). I always thought her desire for another one was completely crazy, but now I can kind of see where she's coming from. I hope you don't have to make the decision to stop because you get your bfp. :) I'm rooting for you! :bighug:

Tell me about it! My DH is adamant that it will never happen. I can't believe she still wants another one! It's kind of nuts! My two brothers are still living at home and she watches my sisters kids every day. You'd think that would be enough for her. I don't know how to help her get past this. I just keep telling her to focus on the two kids that are still living at home and make the most of the time she gets to spend with her grandkids every day. :)

Wow momamia, I can't believe your mum wants another ar her age. My mum about the same age but only wants to babysit and makes it clear not overuse her services! She is keen for more grandkids from the sounds of it as after my m/c I was considering not trying again and she sounded like she didn't want me to give up.
I would definitely look at getting a better OB if she doesn't take you seriously, maybe someone who specializes with my high risk pregnancies.

Pbn, try to focus on the positive things about moving on from ttc if this isnt the month. Maybe you could look at a trip away with your family or doing something else you wouldn't be able to do when having another baby.

I do feel that ttc does put life on hold a bit as you don't want to plan things too far ahead just in case. I like to have things to look forward to or aim towards but at the moment it is just thinking about a possible baby.

What a load of rubbish! Change your doctor! My friend gave birth to her daughter still born as she had a blood clotting disorder (I forget the name of it) She takes baby aspirin daily now. She was 20 when she lost her beautiful angel at full-term. I think some doctors have a real problem with people being tuned in to themselves medically & don't accept everything that they say without good solid evidence. I am the worst patient [emoji23] fact is.. A lot of the time they're wrong! Unless there's straight forward tests with black and white results it's more of a guessing game/trial and error. Go with your gut!

Hoping to hold out for as long as possible pbn, I'm saying no earlier than the 20th but might test on the 19th! Feels ages away!! I got a big temp rise this morning. I'm wondering if I didn't actually O when ff says that I did. :think: That weird double dip right after O makes me think I actually O'd like 3 days later, which would make me only 10dpo. Good luck to those in the 2ww. I'm still in the "sad and feel it's never going to happen stage" aka cd3. Haha. I'm going to my dr next week to see about clomid even though it didn't work before. With all tests being normal last time though, I guess there's not much they can do. One dr said I just had "bad luck" which doesn't make sense to me.
