I am supposed to DTD tonight but I am terrified!! I might chicken out, and try next cycle. I feel like I didn't prepare well enough! I had wanted to DTD O-4, O-2, and O... but if we do it tonight, we will be most likely doing it O-1 or O-2 and O. I just got a fade-in on my opk, so I am guessing it will be positive either later tonight or tomorrow (I will test before we DTD). I usually get 2 days +opks. I should have done it yesterday or the day before, but I thought maybe it was too early. I am only CD11 today.

I'm at 4dpo, time can not go by any slower, my testing time is ages away
Hobber - if it's meant to be, it's enough to BD the night of the 1st +OPK and if you want to seal the deal 36 hours later, so don't worry, be happy  And you will never feel prepared enough, there will always be something you could have done better, kwim? So just go for it! :bluecheer: :bluecheer: :bluecheer:
Weather here is beautiful, warm and sunny which is very unusual for late Sept/Oct, so most of the people ( including me LOL!) act like it's still summer - when the living is easy ;) Although mornings and evening are quite cold. Now you have weather report as well
I wanted to say there is no Christmass stuff here yet, probably as soon as early December.

Hi all! Im starting my diet today! we plan to try mid November! just had my banana and pineapple juice with gelatin for breakfast. I guess i should add some eggs and tomato for protein too.... salted, of course! just wondering if any of you still have or had a coffee with non dairy creamer while swaying? my next question is... Do any of your husbands still like to drink beer and wine? mine does and I doubt he will give it up anytime soon. just wondering if i should still be trying to sway if he still plans on having drinks? i'm sure i can get him to stop the 2 weeks leading up to O

Hey girls! GL to all ttc this month!
About my sway I don't know...the thing is if I post it anybody can read it it's a public site...but maybe I don't have to post it most likely because Im spotting again , have some cramps too looks like it's a m/c .Lost # 8 for us...And now DH says not to ttc anymore no more babys. I don't know what to do...he told me to just go on the treadmill and just loose all the weight .
Can we ttc boy right after a m/c ? (in case he change his mind, but I don't think so) I would try again in Oct. now but not in Nov. But the last 5-6 days I did not keep up the diet and no sups after bfp. Oh well DH said no anyway.
Maybe it's all my fault. Should have take it easy or so...
g2g clean now !

Oh NO Flava! I thought all was well with you! :( I am so, so sorry... :( :( I hope you can get DH to change his mind if you need to! But maybe things will be okay. My friend had bleeding on and off for a few weeks with her last pregnancy, and the baby was fine.
My DH and I had a fight last night, and we ended up not DTD after all, which is terrible, because we really should have. If we go for it tonight, we will be too close to O+12 for my comfort. I got my first +opk last night at 10pm, and I wish we had done it last night, and I wish we had DTD a few days before as well. It was a really bad night, and now I feel awful, like we really screwed up by not trying. And now it's too late. :(

5- seriously Christmas out already?! Ours starts coming up on Halloween, so wrong lol
Believinginblue- Welcome!! Beef up that breakfast, eggs, bacon the works! I drank 2 cups of coffee with cream and a little honey every morning and I'm definitely having a boy! GL and fx for a quick bfp and a sticky blue bean!
Flava- Sorry about the spotting but try to stay positive hun. Spotting and cramping can be totally normal but no matter what it's NOT YOUR FAULT! FX dh has a change of heart.
Hobber- You never know according to my u/s I conceived the day after my +opk. DTD tonight and you're probably good, personally I don't think timing matters nearly as much as diet.

I don't really have spotting I have bleeding so I think it's over...? Told DH it's not fair for him to say no more ttc because I got all fat did this diet for months spend all this money on sups ect. And now what?
But if he say yes would that be a good boy sway this month?? I don't even have all the sups I have to order some and we did not take it all for like a week...and what are the chances for a boy after a m/c? aaaaaaaaaaaa making me crazy!
hobber-Im sorry! I feel the same when we could not dtd on O day! But you should do it today for sure! I would not worry about O+12 I don't really think there is such thing anyway...and you would be only a day after first + opk so it's a good time to do it.GL!

I wouldn't have worried about missing last night if we had done it a day or two ago, but since we have nothing stored up in the crypts, I don't know...I get 2 days of +opks. Today is day 2...I would have done it this am, but DH was still mad when he woke up! He is such a jerk sometimes. He said we should try tonight, but seriously, I am pretty sure this is when I got my last DD (wasn't charting, but still), so I am not willing to risk it, which makes me really bummed. I guess we will wait.

No, I haven't swayed for any of my kids, and this is my last baby, so I am totally stressing about making sure it goes well. Last night was a disaster, and i am really upset about it. :(
I have been drinking non-dairy creamer in my Tea. I thought it was okay? Is it bad?

BIB aka believing in blue :) - I did not restrict my calcium at all in fact I went for full fat dairy, check out atomics High Everything diet. When I swayed last year (which ended in m/c) I did the bsd but it didn't change my pH a bit and in fact once I quit I had excruciating heartburn for months so I refused to do it again. The only thing I drank was green tea. Here's my sway http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?3723-3PinkNeedBlue-s-May-Sway-(BFP-June-1st)&p=83392#post83392, by IG standards it sucked but I felt good about it from the day I got my bfp.
Hobber- I'm all for not doing what got you your girls, a lot of my sway was based on being opposite. Off to check out your moon sign thread :)
FWIW I drank full calorie full fat French Vanilla non dairy creamer each morning. Whole milk or cream would be best but I seriously didn't/don't think that a couple tbsp of creamer is going to ruin your sway.

But like Foxy said, bleeding in early pregnancy can happen. Remember aabroo? She was sure she was miscarrying, but it turned out everything was OK and she is due with a boy. I hope that's the case with you too :luck:
In case it is a m/c ( and I pray it's not) give your DH 2-3 months, don't mention babies and TTC and he'll eventually come around. You know what men are like

I just write a post and it's all gone...anyway thanks for all the nice words !
I think it was more a chemical then a m/c I was only 17 dpo not even 5 weeks .
DH said we can try again I guess he was just sad yesterday. I was sad too but Im ok now. Something must have been wrong and no one want a sick baby...
And it's October! I woke up yesterday and it was cool outside not the damn hot humid hell what we normally have! Same cool today it's so nice! We did the fall and Halloween decorations it's my favorite time in all!
We will try again .I was only off the diet for like 4-5 days and took the sups but not all. Did not stop the green tea and v8 drink .Also doing exercise. Just need some more sups and drinks.
I know after m/c suppose to sway pink but I read a lot's of ppl got a boy after it. Atomic says we are more fertile now and
pretty much everything that increases fertility seems to sway blue...
So what do you guys think??

Yes, mine is always open, but this is really open. I looked on FF and they said sometimes the corpus luteum (sp?) can continue to give off hormones so it won't close all the way.

Hi, Welcome!
I don't drink coffee. Also my DH doesn't drink, JUST soft drinks sometimes.
GL to you.

OMG I am so so so sorry FLAVA!!! ((((((HUGS)))))).

Flava....fingers crossed for you that all is well...I feel for you after just going through this myself...hope all is well!
quick question....I know they say the first cycle after miscarriage sways girl so if I miscarried this past week and then have a period in October sometime am I safe to try again after that period?? never sure how many periods I should have before trying again...thanks
The first cycle after m/c may sway girl because progesterone levels are higher that cycle. So I would wait just one cycle. Wait one period.
Hope you're feeling better, xxx.

Hi every1, i havent been in here for a while so goodluck 2 all.
Its finally come 2 my month that ive been waiting for & i think im ovulating 2day but i shouldnt be ovulating until the 6th which is when my husband gets back from a business trip, bummer, just my luck

My Fabulous Children
October 3rd, 2011, 04:40 AM
It is a m/c for sure and I know ttc after it sway pink (I think only because it lowers pH ...or is there any other reason??)
Anyway this was so early I was only 17 dpo if I would not take a test I would think AF was just a couple days late .And it look like normal AF nothing different.
I am so sorry Hun  I hope that you have better luck soon.
Progesterone levels are higher the cycle after a mc, and that sways girl.

Honestly, I would go for it , no problem. I've read many people got boys after m/c, but its all up to you.

I just know if we stop and wait 3 months I never try again. By that time I loose the weight and don't want to start all over again.Oh and suppose to be on the diet for at least 2 months that's 5 months already! No way I do that.

Flava, I'm sorry to hear about your chemical. I hope you are doing ok, hun. I also hope you can try again.
FWIW with the trying again after a chemical, I have heard of plenty of boys coming after that. I wondered the same thing and researched it after mine in January. They say it sways pink because of the progesterone in your system from the pregnancy, but I don't think it matters. I say go for it if you want. Gotta remember there is no secret formula for making this work and getting a boy. You have to be ok with another girl too.
Tink, hope this is your month!
Hobber, sorry about your fight, but go ahead and go for it today as early as you can...maybe you can have some fun make-up sex and it will rev up his sperm count!
BIB, welcome! I wouldn't worry about your DH having coffee or alcohol, as long as he isn't like drinking 10 a day or anything excessive. In my opinion, the diet is more important for you, but it's good to just have your DH as healthy as possible for healthy sperm. But I wouldn't sweat him if he has a couple beers at night or anything.
MFC, hope the Clomid does the trick! What CD did you ovulate on it? I always did on CD13.
As for me, BFN this morning at 11dpo, completely expected, but just had to poas anyway. I think the next few months I am going to wean myself off of testing so I only test after AF is late. Well, you guys know the deal with me. I'm kinda a lost cause at this point, but want to stick around for now to be encouraging to you all.

It is way too late for that. I o'ed late Sat. or Early Sun., had the temp rise Sun morn. I am so upset about the way this all worked out. I wish we had just gone for it sometime Sat. during the day, but I was somehow convinced that I had to DTD 2x to make a boy and I know if we did it Sat. day we would only get one shot, so we didn't try. F-ing STUPID! I regret it SOOOOO much. I feel like that was my one god chance and now it's gone. I am having a really hard time sticking to my sway now--my heart really isn't in it. I am a wreck!

Hobbs, I hear ya girl. But, there is no magic or good month, don't think of it that way. Just gear up for next month and try to shake it off. Sometimes the stars just don't align to dtd right when we want to, and now you can keep up with swaying stuff in the 2ww and have a super good sway in 4 weeks or so.
WP, you are super awesome, thanks for being so sweet! I would love to be cycle buddies too, but I fear all of your babies will be going to kindergarten by the time I get one, LOL. Hope this is your month!!!
Well, I'm off the drugs, because there is no point in me taking them since I'm not the one with the problem. It's just au naturel cycles for us now. I am hoping that in another few cycles, once my DH has a fresh load of new sperm in there that have been grown since he's taken the super vitamins. (You know it takes 72 days for new sperm.) I'm clinging to that hope at least.

I am new here and I read here in this thread that DTD on O-2 and on O gets more sperms in the crypts.
I am also trying for boy starting in October and until I saw this website I was under the impression that we need to DTD only on ovulation day.

Where is the link about this information?

Hey BluePuppy, Welcome! There are a ton of stickies with info in the TTC BOY section of the gender swaying forum. :) THere is an entire essay on timing. You can DTD one time on O day if you wish, but some people choose to DTD a few more times to add to the stored up sperm. I got two girls DTD only once, and a son from lots of BD, so I am going for a few times (at least two) this time around with my sway.

So, I am American, but I don't use/hear the term "member" for penis all that often. I mean, occasionally I do, but usually there are other words I hear much more often. I got curious about how the term came about, and all I could find was this slang dictionary--look how many words there are for penis! Very entertaining.
http://onlineslangdictionary.com/thesaurus/words+meaning+penis.html
p.s. my favorites I think are "100% All Beef Thermometer", "Trouser snake" and "Baloney Pony"--not that I have ever actually called it any of those!

Hi and welcome! Not to confuse you, but the thing about timing is it's not necessarily proven to be that much of a sway factor (it was more so on IG) and many of us disregard it altogether. I think I can speak for the group here and say that MOST of us are just trying to optimize sperm counts, which is where the dtd every other day comes in....and where the abstinence thing came in back on IG. You can certainly try to just dtd once on O day, but the problem is that you may, for some reason, miscalculate when you ovulated and therefore miss your egg entirely since you only did it once.
But basically, the sperm can live in you for several days, depending on how good your cm is (which is why having good ewcm is a big goal on this site), and then having a high count of sperm in there every time is also key (which is why dtd every other day and timing the last one right on top of your ovulation has become something we think is a good timing plan). Of course, this requires you to track your ovulation for several months with opks so you know your "pattern" leading up to your ovulation so you can time it right. For example, I know that when my opk is nearly positive on one afternoon at 4pm, it will be very positive the next day, and then I will ovulate a day later. So, we dtd that first day and then again on the O day, getting an O-2 and O timing there. Make sense? I hope I did not confuse you!
All that being said, MANY MANY moms of boys here commented that they got their boy by dtd EVERY day....see this thread:
http://genderdreaming.com/forum/showthread.php?1890-How-we-got-our-boys!
AND, if you look at charts on Fertility Friend that say "pregnant with boy," most of them have dtd every day or every other day. Most of us have obsessively looked at those, LOL.
Hope this helps!

I love you ladies! We're prudish on these terms for some reason. For my girls everything inside the panties is their tushy. We haven't yet decided on what we, and the girls, will publicly call guy stuff. So far dd1 has said she won't change diapers because of the "dangly thing" but we won't be using that lol Not around the girls I use gear, junk, little friend etc yeah yeah I'm five lol

I posted on the 2WW thread about this, but I figure some of you guys may not visit. I have been having the same icky feeling in the evening, like I had last month with the chem preg. Silly me I was trying to be PG...with member. I guess I forgot where i was. Last night DH and I were talking and I said "I just cant believe we are pregnant again, Can you" with the cockiest look on his face, he goes "umm look at me, I wake up and piss excellence" So my birth board from DD is convinced I am having twins because I got a bfp so early and it took so long with DD. As well as Dh thinks Im having twins too. I dont think so, the possiblity of twins 2 times around has to be pretty low...Plus losing DD's twin is still bitter for me. I just want a healthy sticky bean. That's all I care about. I drempt last night i had a really chubby blue eyed baby With no name. I kept telling DH to name him or I would name him Enzo. I like that name. When I drempt about DD, I always drempt girl, so we shall see. I HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO.

John Thomas is the name of the main male character in Lady Chatterly's Lover by D.H. Lawrence. It's sort of literary porn so that may be where the name came from. I think he actually calls his penis by that name if I remember correctly.
Congrats Tink!

Heys ladies....
Flava: I am so sorry, hun. I can say I know EXACTLY how you feel. I did get preg with my son right after a m/c, so I think it may be different for everyone. But, like Lola said....you have to be happy with that chance of a girl with every cycle.
Lola: :( My heart goes out to you. I would love to be preggo buddies, you are such an awesome person.
Z: How you doin'? Any symptoms?
TTC5: Yeah!!! Great ph and EWCM. I would be soooo tempted to just sway :)
Hobber: So, do you have any swimmers in there?
iluv: When is your u/s?
Kris: When is you u/s? You guys need tickers for that like 3p1b had.
I am 6dpo and not really having any symptoms. I have been really, really tired, but it has been a busy weekend. Last month, when I had the chem, I had tons of cm and I have had a lot this time, too. Just trying not to get my hopes up...then I may want to test.
Not sure when my next one is, I had my 12 week NT scan 3 weeks ago and I have to see my ob on the 11th for a routine check up. I think my next scan will be somewhere around 18 to 20 weeks?

t's Official, DD is going to be a big sister! I peed on a First response this morning and got a faint line. SO I rushed out to get a digital...and there it was in plain sight!!! I called DH at work, I was so excited. I said I hate that I am telling you on the phone...and he said OMG I would have killed you if you waited! He was sooo happy! I cried and cried!! I can't wait for him to get home so I can make out with him!! I am sooo excited!!!!! SOOOOOO EXCITED!!! We are taking family picutes next week and I am going to make a sign for DD to hold that says "big sister" and then give them to our family when we are ready to tell!!!! I am so stunned I got a BFP at 10DPO....It took me being 20 days late with DD..I haven't even missed my AF yet! WE aren't telling anyone till I am 12 weeks since we had such a big scare with DD in the beginning...OF course I worry about that again, but I am just going to enjoy this!!

Hello everyone - I am a newbie here...came from IG. It was soo random that i signed up for IG and GD the same day though I was hovering over IG for quite sometime. IG has really good info probably why the site is overloaded...I hope GD stays like this --- fresh and lively..
I dont know if I am going to do all but might do some diet and timing.
Does anyone know about ions that IG talks about? I am still not clear on below things whether they sway blue or not...
Laser treatments - facials, hair removals etc, Humidifier, Flat Iron and Ionic hair dryer
Tink - congratulations!!! you must be glad to come off the diet.... I think the most difficult thing for me is to stick to the diet....

Welcome Dreamblue!!!
Over here we believe in wholesome, nutritious foods. That includes milk, cheese, yoghurt, eggs and nuts unlike IG ;)
Basically whatever is good for you is good for BLUE!
As for the ions, for TTC blue we are wanting to make use of positive charged ions. These can come from burning incense, TV's, Laptops, Cell Phones, PC Monitors, air conditioners, wearing gold. There are more but this is just a few :)

Hi Dreamblue, welcome over. I personally don't put too much stock in the ions thing, so don't make it a huge focus of your sway. Most of us, just from old IG habit, put our cell phone on the abdomen after dtd for a while...or laptop....and we do still obsess about the moon thing, although in reality, doubt much of that REALLY matters. As you can see, this site has a much more laid back (and sensible, if you ask me) approach to swaying. We are more into diet and taking supplements and vitamins to make you a health machine and have lots of good ewcm. Although like TTC5 above, I think, said, we don't believe in cutting out dairy and having too much salt. I will tell you that I did the IG blue diet for 6 months and gained about 20lbs, and have gained more since then with the high-everything diet, so my advice if you are just starting out is to be careful about how many calories you consume....if you are used to a 1,600 a day diet and suddenly go up to 2,500 like I did, you will get WAY fat in a heartbeat. Many of us here gained a bunch of weight, so I think we have modified our diets, and the challenge is more like a high-everything diet without the massive calories and weight gain factor.
And by the way, I'm not swaying anymore, but have done it for over a year. As you can see from my sig, it's kinda pointless for me to sway, but I sure remember all of it, LOL. Glad to have you here and FX you get a little blue bean soon!

Lola- did you loose any weight yet? at least that must feel good...how is DH you guys do another test? You don't take your temps so I can't stalk it.
Hey Flava, I'm ok. We haven't done another test, but to be honest, I am tired of tests. I've read that sperm counts can fluctuate, but the docs don't think he needs another. They want him to see an RE, which we may do someday, but it's just tons more $ to spend (insurance doesn't cover infertility) and I already have huge bills from past tests and ultrasounds. Freaking insurance. Anyway, to be honest, I'm just over dealing with the doctors right now, and just want to be healthy and have him eat really well and take his fancy vitamins and see what happens. I did lose about 10lbs in the past 2 weeks, which is nice. I'm just back to my regular bird-like diet and my new fat pants (size 12) I bought at Target are already hanging off me and my old ones (size 10) are even feeling a bit loose, which is awesome.
I don't even really give a shit about having a boy anymore, to be honest. This whole deal has taught me some mad perspective, that is for sure. I just hope we can have one someday. It will most likely be natural, I'll tell you that. We aren't doing any IVF. I just don't want to become super poor to MAYBE make a baby, and then be poor until he/she is like 7 years old paying its conception off. I just think we are going to try until we have one or I stop ovulating and become too old, whichever happens first.
Flava, don't feel like your sway can't work. Obviously, it is a crapshoot as to whether or not they work, but there have been lots of lucky swayers who got their boy, and just because yours didn't before doesn't mean it won't work again!

Lola who knows when but I really, really think you have good reason to believe DH will get you pregnant again. I think you're wise to expect it to take time but the odds are very much in favor of it happening, thank goodness y'all KNOW it has happened before, KWIM? Lots of folks struggle with infertility and don't have that hope that you have, so try to hang on to it. It's going to happen. I just know it. If I have to hang out here for 4 years to see it, I'm going to see it. I believe it.
And Flava I'm with Lola, just bc a sway didn't work before doesn't mean this one won't. For one, you've changed significant things since last time. Personally I don't know what the heck I'd change from mine. I seriously can't see where, other than good ol' rollin' the dice, I "failed" and IF (and ladies, that is a GIANT if) we decided to have another baby I'd sway again. I just posted it in the sway results thread but IRL the folks I know with 3 girls FAR outnumber those with GGB, so if I see even 50% of sways working, well to me it's better than the natural odds. You've got a GREAT shot at getting blue. FX you do!
I can't recall if I mentioned it or not but DH has decided we should find out. Mostly because he thinks it's a girl too so why don't we just find out now and let the DD's know and hopefully all get super pumped about it. I can't lie and say part of me isn't hoping the first scan was wrong .... but I know odds are we'll just be getting confirmation of what I already know later this month. Anyhow, we'll have them write it down and then plan to go to my fave baby store and open it there, so when we open it I can immerse myself in retail therapy immediately :) Thank heavens I already know so I won't be bawling in the middle of the store. I really, really had hoped this was our little fella so it's nice that I've had some time to get most of the sad out.
Also through our convos DH has said if this isn't our son then maybe it means we aren't done with kids after all. I can't imagine raising 4 kids though, and I'm definitely NOT willing to get pg again w/o knowing it would be a boy. I don't want the emotional rollercoaster of HT. So IF we have another we'll do an international adoption. And right now, it's good for me to know that's out there because it means that IF 2 or 3 years from now I still feel an emptiness for not having a son, we CAN have one. And even better, we'll have one who really, really needs a home :HH:

Hi Ladies, Can you please help me ..
Ughh I have no idea what's going on with my body right now and I'm kinda lost tbh! I got my first postive OPK in the evening on CD 16 then I retested CD 17 and all were positive, but negative on CD18 ..Usually I get Positive OPK's 3 days in a row, but this time only about 2 very weird!! maybe it was just a fake positive and I haven't ovulated yet. I have had the same thing happen before, Or my LH surge change on clomid?
We did an attempt on CD 17 AM, It was about 8 hours from my first + OPK. I thought we will make another one in 48 hours since I get three days of + OPK, but that didn't happen.
Either its fake positive or maybe my surge was short? I don't know I am very confused. My temps are getting up, but still early to tell.
Oh and I was having bad ovulation pain/cramps on CD 17 night it was very bad worst then AF cramps, it was more like my m/c ..I never had this pain before.
What do you think? Can you please look at my chart?
g2g now bring my DD1 from school ..I will catch up with everyone later!

Sounds like he just knows it is another girl :) He is a sweety for saying that maybe you guys can try later down the track so hey all hope is not lost Begonia =D

Lola: I have been feeling the same way this past month. I love my girls and would love to have another. My youngest just melts my heart. I would love to have another boy, too, But I think I just don't care anymore.
Foxy: I am TTCing #7. Glad to hear that your sways worked. You were don't the IG diet though, right?
I have been so tired today. It is hard to tell if it is just from my normal life or preggo symptoms.(can you tell I am talking myself out of it) I was so tired yesterday I almost didn't take a shower before bed. It was only 8:30, but my body thought it was 10....bedtime. I almost hate to post symptoms though, if I get a BFN it seems almost....... weird. I don't know
You ladies are soo lucky for having big families ( I know mine is big too lol but still!!) I came from a family of 7 and 7 is my favourite number lol. I so want to have double what I do now.. I am mad hey!!
Did you sway with your other children?

I have no idea, sorry but perhaps this cycle was just a short surge??

Begonia, I think that is an awesome plan! It will help you to have the whole family rallying around the new chica, and will make you all feel very unified and happy, I believe. You know your girls will be excited.....mine are really excited about their new sister coming (the ex's baby due Christmastime). What a wonderful idea to adopt....I always wanted to do that, ever since I was young. DH's super awesome cousin and his wife (who were unexplained infertility for 10 years) adopted a boy from Russia and a girl from China, and they are so amazing that it makes me cry just thinking about them. They got them both as infants, and they are 11 and 6 now. SO beautiful. And another good girlfriend, after many years of IF, adopted a girl from Guatemala. My friend had to jump through crazy hoops to get her, and go live there for 6 months even before she could take her home, but then got pg naturally 3 times after! They lost the 1st (were pushed to terminate at 26 weeks due to some diagnosis of tumors all in baby's body and they did....turns out she would have been fine.....was so awful) but then had a boy and a girl totally naturally. Anyway, I am a huge fan of adoption, and obviously have many adopted kids in my life, and they are wonderful. I think about it also, just expensive for us. But maybe. And thanks for the sweet comments, I really hope you are right. I just think it is smart to prepare my heart for the worst. But I still have some hope. Sometimes. I really hope you don't have to stick around for 4 years though, LOL!
WP, I have to admit, it is kinda nice not to care about the gender and just care about conceiving. Sometimes I feel silly for how much I cared and how arrogant I was a year ago, thinking I could just do this and that and get pg in a snap. I think God is teaching me some humility or patience or gratitude. Probably a combination of all of those and a lot more. (Reminds me of our email convos, MFC! I need a Ramadan myself, lol.)
Flava, let's make a deal: if you don't give up hope of a sway working, I won't give up hope of getting pregnant someday. Whatchathink?????

Not sure when am going to test. I almost did today, but then came to my senses. I don't know why we think we need to know so early, it is just this driving force. But in the large sceme of things....what is a couple of days?

Give it time you may feel differently after dd3 arrives.

Yes she does, it's very basic though so I'm not sure what I'll see....doubt it will be good enough to get an accurate gender shot. I don't know much how scans cost in America but I'll be there on the 18th to the 25th, If I could find a place to do it and without me needing health insurance then I would. MFC, I can't remember if I wrote about this earlier (I have been a scatterbrained workaholic lately), but I think if you had the 2 days of opks, you can assume you o'ed on the day of the second one. Clomid does make your cycle different, but safe to say that you DID ovulate most likely! When I take it, I ovulate like clockwork on CD13, so if you didn't get pg this month, you will start to know how it affects you each month, kwim?

MFC I agree ... I bet you O'd on the day of your 2nd OPK, so your timing should be great!
Kris, don't know about everywhere but here, the private sono places require you to provide proof of prenatal care. Mine required 2 sono photos from this pregnancy from different dates, or 1 sono photo and a receipt of payment to a OBGYN.
WP, I really hope these symptoms are it for you this time!!!
Dreamblue, most of us took 400 of vitamin D3, it's the common dosage you'll find in most vitamins. My prenatal had 400, but before I started that I was just taking a chewable. Honestly can't recall the purpose but I know Atomic has a sticky on it somewhere! Maybe someone else will remember!
Thanks everyone for thoughts on adoption, there are always such great stories with most of them. We have close friends who have adopted internationally as well, and one who did domestic. We looked into it after DD1 was born but DH wasn't as open to it at that point ... I think once he saw how much he loved our kids it became that much easier for him to see how easily he could love one we didn't "make" ourselves. The agency we met with back then said Russia has many more boys than girls, so clearly we could help them out :) We're just going to see how our family feels in a couple of years. We have the financial resources to raise a larger family, but I don't know about the emotional resources ... we're going to have to see how 3 feels. And how our girls would feel about adding another. And where we live families of 4 are VERY uncommon, so definitely have to think about whether we want to be "that" family, LOL.

My (.)s have been a little sore yesterday and today, but I did stop nursing a little over a month ago....it may still be from that. I almost caved and just POAS, but I came to my senses when I seen I only had 2 FRER left, I need to wait a little bit longer. That's crazy they made you prove so much to get your u/s, all I had to do was name my midwife lol
Lola - kudos on your pee restraint, after all this time not wasting anymore tests is a silver lining :)
Dreamblue- vit d- studies were done with cows where supplemented cows produced more male off spring then the unsupplemented ones. Here's the theory, more boys are conceived in the fall after the bountiful harvests and sun soaking behavior of the summer. Increasing your vit is another way to trick your body into thinking conditions are favorable to produce the frailer male fetus. On a personal note after dd3 was born I found out I have a severe vit D deficiency and have been taking supplements ever since. My mother, who also only had girls, carries a massive deficiency as well. You may want to get yourself checked, I'm a big believer in this one.

So nice to see you here B, I was really really really sad to see you leave, but totally understandable. Glad your back dear!

Foxy-I would love if you post you sway here because I don't really visit IG...but if you just post the IG link to your sway that's good to I would love to read both of it!
ummm yeahh I remember Kelly we where not good friends so to say...ummmm wait maybe it's a different Kelly? The Kelly I know did swayed but had a m/c and she said it was a boy. Then she swayed again and got a boy but at first they thought it's a girl because of the u/s ....so they went to another place and find out baby was a boy.
And right now Kelly gave a birth to a baby girl- without swaying it was a surprise ! SO swaying worked for her TWICE.

Hey fab I think you did O on cd17 . I don't think it was fake. Could be different from the clomid or just a different cycle. I have that too sometimes it's just not the same.
But it's also good looks like you don't have a very long cycle this time!
Sorry you could not try twice but you got a boy before with only 1 try so let's hope you get a bfp!
Thanks Flava, I was hoping to try twice, but did only one. Lets see what will happen!

I remember Keeley, She swayed with her 2-3 girls, but it didn't work. She got her boy after 7 girls without swaying!

Yeah now at least I know how it worked for me...

WP, do you normally get sore boobs? I do, so I never pay attention, but if you don't, that is a super good sign! Good willpower....I did not test again after my 10dpo bfn, and I got spotting today, so AF is here, but at least I didn't waste a bunch of tests, right? (*teeny tiny silver lining*)
I agree, I hate wasting tons of tests just to get tons of BFN. It makes me feel so wasteful. Sorry about AF, I know you kind of expected it, but I am still holding out that I will see a BFP from you in the future.
I don't normally have sore bbs, but I just hate to hope :/

Okay, I took my temp this morning and it was still wayyy up, so I tested with a FRER and $ tree test.........very faint + on the FRER (just like last month's) and neg on the $ store test. I am trying not to get my hopes up because of what happened last month. The test looks pretty good, nice pink faint line, but you know how it could go. I just had to cave and test, I have been eating just veges and protein and I have been starving, so I didn't want to punish my body if there is a little bean in there.

OH WOW, WP! Nice! A faint line on a FRER is pretty reliable! I would definitely eat some more and nourish that bean if there is one in there. I am sure you have no problem getting pg since you have 6 already, lol, so I would not be surprised if this is it! Congrats, and will be excited to see what you get in the next few days on tests!

Kris - jokes on me, there is almost nowhere I could find in Reno and the prices were ridiculous. Sacramento on the other hand has a ton of places and they are way cheaper. Where will you be staying there, I'll get you all the info you need :)
WP - woohoo for your bfp!! Don't worry about the $ store test, I had the faintest line on one on cd12 and a very nice line on a FRER the same day. FX and lots of blue dust for you :)

Thanks for the congrats ladies, I am just still way too nervous about another loss. I am not going to tell DH until it gets darker, he still doesn't like talking about last month. I think it just breaks his heart to know we have children in heaven we haven't even touched.....especially with the later losses.
