Edited: sorry just reread your post about it being your only opk. I think you've oed cd14 and would have had a pos opk cd12 or 13. We'll know for sure with another couple temps :) How awesome your e3d attempt was night before o 😀😀😀

Oh and you'll know by temping when you've oed (usually 3 days in a row of a susstained rise) and 10dpo is usually a good place to start.

Netti my opks started like yours then would fade out before darkening to a pos. You can get an lh surge around af (which is why you might see dark but not pos opks prior to af arriving) so I'm assuming it would fade out with af finishing and this is what your seeing?

Quick me post....
Saw my ob today and he said HCG looking great and did an external scan saying we won't see anything... but he did see the sac! Didn't worry about internal and said to come back in 2 weeks! So all great!!!

Bad news.... I asked him about the genetic results after D&C and it came back 'no chromosomal abnormalities' and it was a boy! I said so it wasn't a blighted ovum?!?! He seemed a bit awkward and said well it was and it must have been too small. I didn't question anymore because it's done now. I waited until 8 weeks, but ppl do say wait until 9. In all honesty i knew it wasn't right and maybe I would have miscarried anyway....just a shock

Edit: plus it was a boy! Lol
Kind of prepared me that my sway won't work this time either. Either way I'm excited to have another lil person in our family

Quick me post....

Hi

ABC- i don't do the alcohol but i have 'coffee' everyday. Its a mixed instant coffee caramel latte. It really only has about 15-18% coffee but its the only things i can manage. I used to be a tea drinker mainly at work with my other boys. I guess cutting back during the TWW is what id do.

LMSM- i have used opks when trying with ds5. I had so so success. A couple of cycles ago i had the surge in the afternoon and by next morning gone- that cycle didn't have alot of build up though. Truth be told i hope its a couple of eggs preparing 🤣 im in Sydney gahh you're so close to testing. I think a warm bath would be lovely.

Ttc- i would totally be symptom spotting at 1dpo 🤣🤣 but i do get you. Its winter here in Aus and my goodness coffee and a few biscuits and then im thinking of something else....

Best of luck mtolbert- im not good at charts but sustained rise will indicate O.

Pbn- that would make sense as its happened before. I wonder why it does that? It seems lighter again tonight. Hopefully O coincides with my days off next week.

Ladies, talk me off the ledge please. I know I took a risk of multiples when I took Femara, but ever since that phone call about ovulating from both sides, I'm totally psyching myself out (and I haven't even got a bfp yet lol). My temp is higher than its ever been in a cycle, which could just be caused by the medication, but it's also giving me pause. Has anyone had experience with this? Do higher temps mean anything? Again, I could totally have a bfn cycle, but I'm totally losing sleep over this. Anyone?!

I know it's hard to think of all the what ifs when you realistically still have to wait for an answer..the Femara *could* have had an effet, maybe more so in that it gave you an excellent quality O, leading to beautiful corpus luteum producing progesterone, making your temps rise more than a maybe not as good O which may have been the case without the drugs ....?
Even with just one egg there is always a chance of multiples, or with multiple eggs released you could still only have one Bub...don't get too hung up on it though I can see why you'd get hot sweats at the idea of twinnies!

Maxim I've never heard of high post o temps being related to multiples. Not saying it isn't just that I've never heard of it. Your temp should surely start leveling out soon 🤔 I've heard (and seen here on GD) of early dark bfps resulting in multiples but nothing at all temp related.

I'm getting super excited for you ladies that will be testing soon!!

Max- I was pregnant with twins at the start of this cycle and my temps were actually lower than when I was pregnant with my DS3. Overlaying both charts, they were parallel to one another but this one had lower temps. You're fine!!

Regarding signs- I walk a path at my park with my boys regularly and the view is prairie grass and yellow flowers. One day, I kept seeing pink and purple flowers! When I got my BFP and was spotting, I saw pink, purple, and blue flowers. Most fraternal twins are typically BG. While I will never know for sure, I just thought that was strange. I had never seen those flowers before or since!

AFM - I did a bit of googling and there are other people who had the same thing happen as me. They only test for the main chomosomal abnormalities and not all issues are picked up (as you can imagine it's too early to know all issues and they can't test for everything). My question was, how can it be tested if there is nothing in the sac? But there are cells that they test, as the egg and sperm still meet, but the actual baby doesn't develop or it's tiny and not growing properly. So I'm not going to think about it anymore, as I knew from O day things weren't right. With those super high fevers, and then the light tests, low HCG and full heavy period.
The thing I am thinking about is the fact it was a boy. My sway that cycle was much better than it was this cycle....I was exercising, strict diet, BD pattern was better. This cycle the only difference was that I had the D&C. My HCG is high, which can indicate girl, strong lines too...
I keep thinking I'm having a girl, but hearing boy today was a good thing....because the reality is that it will most likely be a boy. I will be grateful either way of course.

I'm so excited about all the BFPs that are going to be coming up this week! Wohoooooo!!!!

And if hunger at 1dpo can be from conception occurring, then bring on the hunger!! I'll feed the baby bean happily! :bigsmile:

Mommy2: It’s not even that I'm just eating more, it's that I'm legitimately hungry. Like monster hungry. No matter how much I eat I'm not full. I never ate much at all before he diet and I was never hungry. Not even when I was pregnant, I never really got hungry. Since starting the HE diet I've always had to force myself to eat the 2500 calories. But yesterday I was just flat out starving. Hopefully it's not like that today. Not so much worried about weight gain because I'm gaining mostly muscle I think. Just don't want to mess up such a good sway.

Ladies, what do you do for exercise in the tww? I usually take spin, weights classes (barbell, tcx, etc) and do barre or yoga every week. I just did a tcx class (which is weights and cardio) and just thought that maybe this isn't the best thing to be doing. Max - good for you for exercising! I never do. :( I just wanted to chime in that my last pg was triplets. My temps were slightly higher than normal, but not enough for me to question it. My tests were not super dark, they were us normal. The only difference was that my ms did not start out as soon as normal for me. That was it. I was totally SHOCKED at my first u/s. I Od 2 eggs and one split. Sadly, at 11w3d we lost the identical girls but the fraternal triplet continued on and became our DS4. So there really is no way of knowing by tests, hcg, or temps if you have multiples.
HUGS - and try not to stress about it. Praying for your BFP this cycle!!!

TTC - I normally have days like that where I just never get full. It is ok and good for blue I suspect. I have to tell you that once I started swaying, I was shocked at my normal calorie intake. It was not uncommon for me to eat 3000 - 3500 cals a day. And since I have 5 boys under my belt and most likely another one on the way, I would say that you are doing just fine on your sway. :)

Max - I exercised as normal during the 2ww! The week after I Oed I caught myself doing jumping jacks and lots of sit-ups in a class and kinda freaked out thinking this can't be good for the spermies but it obviously was fine. I'd just go ahead and get in the habit of watching your heart rate to be on the safe side. I'm still exercising at 10 weeks but it's not as intense and I've had to back down to 3 days a week due to issues with nausea ☹️ All that to say, I'd keep it up bc you might have to take time off during first trimester depending on how you feel. Weeks 6-8 were a no go for me.

It was quite the experience. Shocking, world changing, and shattering, just to name a few emotions. Anyway, DS4 has 2 angel siblings looking out for him. I am doing ok most days, but do have some bad days like today where eating is a real challenge because of the nausea. But I am feeling the baby move all the time now, so that helps.

Mommy2apples I would recommend using the digi with just fmu as you plan but once you see your wondfo look almost positive test again using the digi with the same urine sample (keep your samples until you've read wondfo opk). Absolutely keep testing every fmu with the digi until either you get a solid smiley (whether morning or noon or night when you test again once wondfo looks close to pos) or until your temps confirm o has happened (in which case we will know the digis didn't work for you)

Does that all make sense? I'm not the best at explaining things sometimes 😂 please let me know if anythings not clear :)

Shan, I love that! We have a similar story in my family and I'm a big believer in angel siblings. My oldest sister went to a medium reading years ago and they told her that there was another sibling that had passed but was always looking out for her. My sister dismissed it since she was the oldest and obviously didn't have any siblings that she know of that had passed. She told my mom about it and my mom told her that she did have a twin sister that was stillborn. My sister never knew about it and my mom never told her about it until this happened...my sister was 22 at the time. I'm not a believer in psychics or mediums, but that caught us all by surprise!!

Naci: I've been looking into some stuff after our discussion about the 3rd child being left out at bedtime, and I found the cutest thing I wanted to tell you about! If I get another girl we'll be getting tripple bunk beds and adding a slide and making it to where the beds double as a play area. And if we get a boy well just get regular bunk beds for our girls, but I found these cool ones where the bottom bed has drawers. When you pull it out its actually another bed for guests! I could totally use that for a boy so he could sleep with his sisters when he's younger and won't be left out, but yet he would still have his own room! And they wouldn't have an extra bed in their room. Isnt that the coolest!?

Pbn that's funny! I just have a terrible fear that two of my children will bond closely and the other will be left out. Either the oldest 2 or the youngest 2.. and I don't want to make any child feel left out. So even though we have 2 spare rooms, I'm going to have mine all sleeping together haha. 3 girls and they can all share a room, but if I get my boy he will obviously need his own room for privacy when he's older. But I see nothing wrong with letting a little guy sleep with his big Sisters so he's not alone or left out. And if the girls got older and 1 (or all) of them want their own rooms, I can do that too!

I honestly think I felt lonely not only because of the separate rooms, but my brothers being identical twins. They had a very close strong bond. They weren’t only brothers, twins, but best friends, soulmates if that makes sense. I was the younger annoying little (cute) sister. They didn't want me around. I wouldn't stress to much what I said about my childhood. I wish I never said it, because it seemed to come across in a super negative way. I'm sorry :(

Nooo naci, it just helped me realize that my fears are not silly and that I can and should do all that I can to ensure none of my kids are left out. I do understand what you mean about alot of it was due to them being twins. Thank you naci! I'm much more relaxed about 3 kids now :) That was the only mental debate I had left to solve. DH thinks is absolutely absurd that I'm wanting to put 3 kids in the same room when we have enough rooms they could all have their own :rofl: He just doesn't understand the "boding" factor like I do. He has 3 older sisters and an older brother on his dad's side, but he grew up with his mom, and the only child she ever had (other than him) was his brother whose 10 years younger. I feel like he never got to experience the bond that I was lucky enough to have with my 4 brothers (not so much my sister).. So it's just very important to me that my kids are very close in age and treated completely equal.

Yep! Clomid sure does! Keep drinking! Water will workout to be the best. I always liked to put fresh fruit in mine: oranges, limes, berries, peppermint etc. Not all together but one flavor at a time! It will get better in 2-3 days!

Ttc-yes, the crosshairs are the red lines that give you the visual of when you O'd and the horizontal line is the coverline where you want to see your temps stay above, but you may (or may not) see a one day dip below coverline or close to it which could be an implantation dip we were talking about before! Oh & random question/rant-we were invited out in the boat Sunday by a group of friends (DH's guy friends & wives) who don't know we're expecting yet. DH didn't understand why I didn't want to go. Aside from having to find a babysitter, being bounced around on a boat in the 1st trimester when I have to pee every 5 minutes does not sound appealing or safe. PLUS, it's about 90 degrees here & they will be partying on an island drinking in the blazing sun. None of them have kids yet. He finally just told them I'm pregnant & they were all excited, but am I being crazy?? Am I being a party pooper??

Ok thanks so much for validating my feelings pbn!!!! Men just don't understand sometimes! My close friends mostly have little babies right now, but it seems like his close friends all married younger wives who don't want kids for awhile...sooo I'm sure it's hard for DH seeing his friends still go out on the town all the time. DH will meet up with them once in a blue moon now. We can still have a good time, but kids definitely change the dynamics! I like going out for a nice dinner with friends with a glass of wine or 2 (not preggo of course), but no interest in partying on the town haha.

Earlier before the stress we went and put a double pram on layby so that was very exciting. The one we have is getting very close to being passed it's use by date in other words getting old. So that is why money is tight as I have 12 weeks to pay it off and it's expensive.

I cant say 100%, only an ultrasound from one day to the next could but I am 98% sure. Look at your cp and cm as well, they support o on cd16 too.

The cervix I am sure is correct but the cm could be wrong. I don't have very much at all so a lot of the time its hard for me to tell the difference (I hardly had enough to coat my finger, there was never enough to stretch or "glob")...

I guess for now I'll leave the positive opk on cd15 but if this isn't the cycle, next cycle should I try to space 3 BD attempts out more between cd 13 and 16?

Ttcblue you did the right thing this cycle, 3 attempts at pos opk. Oing the same day as pos opk is NOT the norm. A day or two after is common. Your temps strongly support o occuring on cd16. I would honestly have not considered cd14 a possibility.

Maxim your chart looks amazing!! That's the downside of charting though 😕 you see a pretty chart and you think it MUST end with a bfp, but sometimes it simpy doesn't. I think it's a good idea to not feel overly confident but boy oh boy your chart looks good enough to eat! I know I keep saying it but don't forget you may only be 5dpo 😉 when are you going to test? Did you decide?

Pbn, Thank you.. cd14 wouldn't be a possibility if my temp on cd16 was .1 higher would it? I know that sounds silly but I took it twice that day and the 1st time it came back as 97.5 and the 2nd time it came back as 97.6... that .1 just so happens to make the difference of a steady increase starting at cd13. Sorry, I just haven't got the hang of reading my chart yet and I'm worried I did some little thing wrong that makes a big difference lol.

Mommy - be careful with pressed!! Try it before go time. We tried it for the first time when TTC and just used a dab and it was too slippery - DH hated it. However I have used once since preggo and it helped. My drive has been nonexistent since pregnant ☹️

Ttcblue the reason its added two days to the end of your cycle is because o day shifted forward by two days. Your luteal phase generally doesn't change from cycle to cycle so it depends what pattern of lp ff picks up that you've had previously that tells it what day it believes af is due. Your previous two cycles were estimated at 10 days and 11 days so ff will always make your af due day 10 or 11 days after ovulation is detected. So if your o day shifts then so will af due date.

Mummy2boys I see it!!!! I think this may be a real bfp 🎉🎉🎉😀😀😀 cant wait for more tests over the next few days!!

Pbn, I underhand. I just thought ff did that because it was impossible for the luteal phase to be that short (cd17-25).. So I was thinking, well, either I O'd on cd14 or my cycle randomly grew by 2 days.. or am I wrong by thinking it had to be one or the other? Can luteal phase be just 9 days?

Just quickly as it may make more sense, your cycle length will depend on when ovulation takes place which can change and often does from cycle to cycle. If your luteal phase is 10 days (and remember this doesn't often change) then af will come 10 days after ovulation. So if you oed on cd14 then af would be due on cd25. If you oed cd18 then af would be due cd29. Does that make more sense ttcblue?

Ok so that's estimating you have an lp of 11 days and therefore af would theoretically be due on the 23rd. Orginally when it had assigned o day to the 9th it would have shown af due on the 21st? So your cycle hasn't grown by two days, your af due date has simply shifted because o day has and ff will always keep lp the same length unless it detects a new pattern over a period of time. I feel like maybe I'm misunderstanding why you're asking? I apologise if so and let me know if that's the case and I will try and answer again in the morning.

My cycle is always 25 days.. If cd14 was O then ff had my cycle at 25. If cd16 was O then ff puts my cycle at 27 days and I don't feel that's right (the cycle length). Is it possible that I O'd on cd14 of a 25 day cycle, or is it impossible to have a 9 day luteal phase? Ff has my luteal phase changing from month to month between 10 and 12 days. Is that wrong?

Your cycle can change depending on when you o. You'll know soon enough whether you oed cd14 or cd16 if this cycle is unsuccessful because af will arrive 10/11 days after ovulation so if you did o on cd14 then it will arrive by cd26 but if you did o on cd16 then it wont arrive until cd28. Can see you posted again. Brb!

Lola, Thanks for the suggestion. I played around with my chart and if I O'd on CD14 I have attempts on O-4, O-2, O and if I O'd on CD16 I have attempts on O-4, O-2, O-1(x2) so I'm really hoping for cd16, but I just feel it's more likely that it was cd14 when I look at the rest of my calendars. Either way ff says my chances are "good" so I'm still hopeful. Just not as happy about my chart as I was before. If this is not my bfp cycle I'm going to take the +opk back off cd15 and assume I really did o same day as +opk, which was on cd14.

Another reason I feel ff is probably right by pin pointing cd14 is because 7:00pm on cd13 was so close to positive. I bet if I had taken one at 10:00pm, it would have been positive.. I bet I O'd night between cd14 and 15 or something. I'll stop ranting and racking my brain now lol.

TTC - for what it is worth, I believe that your chart is correct now with O at CD16. I have charted for a long time and what you need to understand is that your cycle length can change. TTCing most often changes when you O a little because of the stress/excitement of it all. :) You have an excellent shot at blue with either O day, so I am excited to see what happens in a week and a half!!!

My DDwoke me up early so I took my temp before getting her up and adjusted it with the link that was posted on here. Is that the right thing to do or not to get more of an accurate reading. Temp slightly went down either way. So trying not to be to worried. I found my chart with my DD1 and it went up and down about 3 times

Also does anyone know about what Hally asked about using the temp adjuster?? I too am curious now. I used it to adjust all my wacky times and my chart looks quite a bit different. Should I leave it after using the temp adjuster to put them all to 6:30, or should I put them back to original temps, even though I took them any time within a 90 minute time frame?

I always set mine at 6:25 am. I take them every morning at that time, but don't record them until I wake back up later that morning.

Halley and ttcblue please be wary of using those bbt time converters as they often make your chart more inaccurate than just leaving the original temps in. Ttcblue if you are taking temps even within 1.5 hours of each other they will be accurate enough. It's entirely up to you ladies whether you do or not, just wanted to say you're often best leaving it as is and making a note instead on the day it was taken as it will lokely appear as open circled in any case.

Ttcblue I had a couple cycles like that but it's really important you try to relax. Is there something you can do to help with the anxiety? Do you do yoga or meditation? Warm bathes? A glass of wine and a dvd? Or if you cannot stop thinking about ttc then think only positive thoughts. Try visualising where your fertilised egg is at (so at 3dpo its likely about halfway through its tube journey) from 6 dpo to 10dpo imagine it implanting into the uterus wall. That's all I can think of at the moment 😕 but hopefully someone else has some good idea!
