Ok moving to this thread :)

Maximbella and LMSM... Those two tests were from the same sample - I peed in a cup and dipped them. I struggle to pee directly on the stick :) :)

Ugh... Well, I guess we'll see how tomorrow goes. I think I may just go for it tomorrow (in terms of the BD attempt) and see what happens. It'll be CD 11 and again based on temping my "typical" ovulation day is day 13 or 14. So I think on day 11 we'd still have a good shot at it. I'll still test tomorrow before deciding but I think these OPKs are going to stress me out!

Hi ladies! Hoping to see lots of BFPs!!!!! Hoping & praying for each of you!
Max-woohoooo for crosshairs! [emoji322]
Netti-How exciting that DH agreed for one more!!
LMSM-thinking you're about 7dpo ish, eeek getting closer, Fx this is your month!!!!
ABC-I had the opposite issue with my wondfo OPK...mine all started out super dark & looked positive which was really weird! I don't have PCOS and from my recent U/S, no cysts. Mine were extra dark when positive. I highly recommend the digi to compare. Mine correlated nicely, but I was able to see that "extra extra dark" lines meant the same as a solid smiley for me. I think it varies from person to person. As Max mentioned, hers were always light, but the slightly darker line meant solid smiley (positive) for her. Hoping you get a BFP & won't even need to try them, but if it does come to that, I feel it's worth the extra $ to try it next cycle! I like the dual hormone b/c you use fmu! I like your plan for getting your 1 attempt in tomorrow!! Fx!!!!

Sigh - oh wow - interesting that you had a very different experience! Yea I feel like these OPKs are kind of a pain. Ok - Decision made: If we don't conceive this cycle, I'm getting the digital tests :) :) Seems like they are a little less stressful! With my two boys we basically had sex when we wanted to & got a positive pregnancy test like 10 days later :) This whole trying to figure out exactly when to have the "one attempt" thing is a lot more confusing!!!

Hi Ladies

Back again. Im using cheapie opks which im predominantly using in the arvo/PM.

Whats best to use to compare or should i just trust them? I won't be temping as its too much of a headache.

ABC, yew opks can be stressful and they aren't cheap either. Im starting to get a few twangs in the ovaries so Im wondering if the opks are picking up something. Ive had so-so moments with opks but ive always used the cheapies.

If you had to get up earlier than your normal temping time tomorrow, would you put off temping until the next day or just go ahead and start temping for this cycle tomorrow?

Sorry! Didn't realize we started a new thread. I have a lot of catching up to do but just wanted to say yayyyy! I got 3 attempts in and dh didn't mind! So I have O-3, O-1, O am & pm so hoping my temp has spiked in the am!

Naci: I'm so sorry you felt left out and alone. That's what I'm petrified of happening with my kids. I honestly would let a little guy sleep in bed with his big Sisters before letting him feel left out. I just can't put a child through that kind of hurt.

ABC-Fx you won't even need to try the digis, but always good to have a plan B! I did use OPKs with DS1, but I was so relaxed about it, BD'd a few times and VOILA, had a BFP. Didn't use them for DS2. It was much more stressful ttc #3! Fx this is your cycle [emoji175]

Halley I'm not sure 🤔 I don't think there are any magic foods as such but blueberries are super healthy so that in itself is good for blue. I have heard avacado and bananas are good for blue but again maybe because they are full of goodness?

ABC - Some great advice! Hope you O soon and your timing works out.

LMSM - That's what I thought too! Yes a bit of brown spotting again....just mixed with CM, so not bad. I think it's from coughing...
Your DH might change his mind once bub is here and when your daughters say they are happy to share?

Netti- Yay! Fingers crossed! So glad DH is on board.

PBN3 - Here it is https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2bbcff

Maxim - So excited for you! Temps are looking fab!

Mummy2boys - Great news about holidays! How long is your break. I'm about to go back to school after a 3 week holiday :( Drop in temp could be implantation

Lola - So nice of you to keep popping back in! x

TTCblue - Fabulous! So glad all worked out in the end!!!

Halley - If you feel like you're eating all day, maybe make a smoothie? We make them each morning....banana, frozen berries, frozen mango (only 4-6 pieces otherwise it makes it too thick) and some milk. I also add some oats too. Happy to be having these again as I missed out on the LE diet.

AFM - second bloods drawn today, so will get those back tomorrow afternoon. Woke up this morning and had a great sleep....no coughing due to one panadol and no brown CM when I woke to do a test. Then started coughing from 6:30am - 8am when I dragged myself out of bed. Then had some more brown with a BM when I got up (no straining though).....So I think it's the coughing.

Pbn: Yes at the time you posted that it was 12:30 :) I'm a little confused about my temp. It didn't spike this morning, does that mean o has not occurred? I wouldn't be surprised because I haven't had ovulation pain this time.. it would be just my luck :(

Lmsm: With dd1 I was 19 and had never in my life been on bc. It took us 8 months of trying before we fell pregnant. With dd2 I believe it was first or second cycle trying when we feel pregnant and I was still nursing. So I guess it could go either way.

Max, looking forward to the update after your u/s!!!
The steep rise in temp, the symptoms...could go either way but def looking good to me...esp when comparing to last cycles.
I did have similar symptoms on Clomid, but I conceived 1st try on my Clomid cycles so can't compare with non successful Clomid cycles to know whether that was the drugs or early pregnancy
I am so excited for you, I have everything crossed!!!
I am 7dpo today (Tuesday) but probs won't test until Saturday maybe even Sunday...trying to be more chill about it.
Today I have had a few people stare at my belly..might be my flowy dress I wore (granted it is technically a maternity one but doesn't look it and so comfy lol).. a colleague /friend I hadn't seen for some weeks and I had lunch' we sat down, and I was saying "since I am going on leave" ( she had a split second staring at my belly) "next week when my parents arrive" ... it seemed she had a moment of "oh she's not meaning mat leave '
Tonight got lots of pulling af pains so don't want to get my hopes up...dizzy spells this arvo right after lunch..conflicting feelings basically lol
Anyhoo, by the end of the week, will know where I stand :)

I'm sitting at the Dr's office waiting for my u/s. [emoji51] They are going to measure my lining, curious what it will be. I woke up with extremely sore nipples and achy boobs - curious if anyone had that after clomid or Femara?? Temp also went higher today [emoji322].

I'd go back to eod until sustained tenp rise :) how's your vajajay holding up? Mine would be in tears 😭😭

I hope this works!!! It keeps saying a mederator has to approve my post?!?!

Not eating all day just snacking a lot more. I normally don't eat between meals usually just drink water. Read snacking or eating 6 small meals helps sway boy. I hope I don't have that wrong

That took forever! I got there at 7am and was already the 6th person waiting. Crazy!!

Anyway, she wouldn't tell me a THING. Like nada... u/s took about 5 mins and then she said that the doctor would read it and call me today. [emoji19] I asked her jokingly to at least tell me if my lining was thin and she wouldn't budge. So....I'll update once I know more.

Pbn, I'm also starting to wonder if I'm 2dpo today instead of 4? Looked at my last charts and O was either day of or day after positive opk, and I do seem to have a gradual rise, but maybe I'm interpreting it incorrectly? Only thing is that I usually get AF 12 days after +opk, so if I o later than I think I do, it would mean I only have a 10 day LP. [emoji848]

Wow there is so much going on-it's exciting!!
Max-temp is looking great! I could see 2 dpo as a possibility, not certain, but at least you know to keep that in mind when testing. Gosh, how annoying that the U/S tech wouldn't tell you a thing! Hope you get that call from your dr soon! Update us as soon as you can!!!
Halley-I see your crosshairs & temp is up a little, are you sure you haven't O'd? For some it seems like the OPKs just get slightly darker!
Ttc-I think I was the one that posted that chart awhile back. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I did get pregnant this cycle from an O-1 attempt, which is the highest chance according to the chart! I'd say you have an excellent chance this cycle with all those attempts!!! I bet you see a rise tomorrow. Who knows, it maybe on it's way to rising, but maybe it hadn't happened yet early in the AM when you temped?

Lolabelle
July 11th, 2017, 01:14 PM
Iwant4-I meant to add that I agree with pbn about your attempts! It does look like 1 attempt! Since that 2nd attempt was a PM attempt and your temp had already risen! Yay [emoji322]

TtcBlue18

Lola: That's true, I didn't think of that. So when temp spikes in the am, that indicates that ovulation occurred within the last 24 hours? Also, what do the open circles mean on the charts?

maximbella
July 11th, 2017, 03:11 PM
Halley, sorry I was looking at your chart and it says 4dpo... You still don't feel that you've O'd?

I finally got a call back from my doctor!! She said that my lining measured 8.8, which is definitely within normal limits. That is such great news, especially as I had thin lining with both of my previous pregnancies. Can that change going forward, or once it's that thick, it stays that thick? I wish I would have gone in previous months to check. When I went in several cycles ago for a cyst, the tech said that my lining was low and this was also about 3 dpo, so I'm hoping this month it's different. She also said (and I literally almost had a heart attack) that it shows definite ovulation from the left, and also possibly from the right (both sides had a corpus lutem cyst). OMG OMG OMG...is that normal???

Max-that is great news!! And while I think twins sounds AMAZING, I know you & DH were a little freaked out by the thought in the past-what are your thoughts now?? [emoji175][emoji175]Others please chime in if I'm wrong, but I believe you have a higher chance of having twins by releasing 2 eggs, but doesn't necessarily mean they would both be fertilized. If so, you'd have fraternal twins....I do keep saying we need someone with twins in the ddg lol [emoji12]

NACIREMADREAM
July 11th, 2017, 03:38 PM
Max I think just know this is your cycle, and you have a greater chance at a beautiful baby this month :) It's possible it's not even twins, but a big change you got one egg fertilized which is huge. FX so hard you get your baby this month!

Lolabelle
July 11th, 2017, 03:45 PM
Ttc-yep Max is right, open circles mean you temped at a diff time than usual. You said it was just about an hr off, so no biggie. And you're right, you could've O'd overnight or early in the AM & you would've seen an AM rise, but sounds like you may have temped before you caught your rise...does that make sense?...guessing O has occurred and you'll see the spike tomorrow morn! Fx!!!

maximbella
July 11th, 2017, 03:45 PM
Honestly, I'm just praying that it's one healthy baby and that it even worked for me! I've always thought twins would be amazing, but now having two girls already, I think 4 would just be so hard. Honestly, maneuvering around NYC is hard enough with 2 kids...just thinking about doing it with 4 (let alone a double stroller) sounds so daunting. But honestly, I'm a big believer in what is meant to be will be...but please let that just be one healthy baby girl LOL! I haven't told DH anything about it and won't even if I get a bfp this cycle because he will literally have anxiety until a first u/s confirming and he's already stressed enough with work. You're right that even if you release two eggs, it doesn't mean that they would both be fertilized. Again, she didn't say that I for sure ovulated from both sides, but I did have a cyst on both sides, so I'm not sure what that means. I went into shock and didn't ask any questions, just said "okay thanks" and hung up. LOL!!!

Thank you Nacire and Lola...I really do hope so. I am so ready to just know if this is in the cards for us. I honestly don't know if emotionally I can take too many more cycles (or months of Femara!)....

Pbn3
July 11th, 2017, 03:48 PM
Max this is great news!!! And as for possibly releasing two eggs try and see it as just an extra chance to conceive 😀 Absolutely does not mean both eggs will be fertilised! I've released two eggs on a clomid cycle and neither were fertilised. Fx so hard this is your cycle!!!

Ttc-oops I think that sounded confusing...to clarify, I think you would've seen your rise this AM if you O'd overnight or early AM, but you prob O'd in the AM, but after you temped...sometimes it's a slow rise...just my guess.

Sooo my update is that both my OPKs today (two brands) were DEFINITELY negative... Way lighter than yesterdays. So I'm wondering if yesterday's 2 pm *maybe* positive test was actually positive and we should have already had our attempt :( I don't know what to do! Should we go ahead and attempt today on the assumption that yesterday's uncertain test was positive, and that maybe I'm ovulating today? Or not attempt and keep testing b/c maybe it WASN'T a positive?

If that was your pos opk then hopefully you o closer to the 48 side... keep testing with the opks but at least by starting e4d you'll get a chance of having an attempt in this cycle. Because youre not temping we wont know if you've oed or not so if this cycle results in a bfn I would switch to the cb dual hormone digis that test with fmu for next cycle. At least then you can assume fairly safely that o is day after solid smiley. Otherwise just do e4d all cycle :)

Max: I too was thinking twins when I read that! But fx you have 1 healthy baby girl to discover soon!

Lola: Thank you for helping with my charting questions. That totally makes sense because it's not just 1 open circle. I have 4 open circles. I take my temp when my girls wake me up in the morning if it's anytime between 5:30 and 6:30 (If it's before that, I go back to bed) because I thought having a couple hours of uninterrupted sleep was more important than temping at the same time every day--If you have to choose at least.. Is that right? Or should I start temping at exactly the same time every morning regardless of the various times I'm woke up? Lol.

One thing that has me concerned is I've been able to feel ovulation pain every month since having the mirena removed: February-June. This month there were no pains at all on either side so I'm worried that I didn't actually ovulate. And that would be just my luck for a cycle that was going so good.. I've read that stress can prevent ovulation, which day of positive opk was very stressful and emotional for me..

We BD'd this afternoon... Eeeek! I got negative OPK's twice today... So I'm thinking yesterday was my positive & am marking it down as such for now. So we'll see. According to my temp this morning I didn't ovulate yesterday so hopefully we still have a shot this cycle w/ today's attempt! I'll still temp & test and if I get another +OPK or my temp doesn't spike in a few days we'll try again.

On another note... My 4 year old proposed marriage to me tonight  I want a girl SO SO much but I must say, little boys are pretty fantastic! :car:

Ttc-there may or may not be an implantation dip, but it is more common in BFP charts! I had a drop in temp at 7 dpo, then temp went back up & I had a positive wondfo at 9dpo...it was more evident by 10dpo. Implantation dips may be a temp drop from approx 7-10dpo. If it's a drop in temp further along around 14/15 dpo ish, then AF is most likely about to arrive!

Iwant4 – OMG indeed *does the “woo hoop” excited dance on office chair*
!!!!!

Max – here’s the chart hon ;)
https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/3abf30/

Lola – I used the calculator TTCblie shared with us a few weeks ago, and if I have implantation today, hcg would likely only be around 5/10 on Friday so unlikely to be picked up – but if I wait until Sunday it should be around 20 so a sensitive test could pick it up – so to be on the safe side, and if the temp goes back up to a good level in the next few days giving me some comfort there *might* be something there, then I will test on Sunday unless I cave before ;)
Trying to be relaxed and not rush to poas ;)

TTC – implantation dip happens both in pregnant and non pregnant charts, though it is slightly more frequent on pregnant charts – but you don’t need one to actually be pregnant ;)

ABC – how cute is your 4 y.o – too friggin adorable!!! I want a little momma’s boy too :D

Ttcblue an implantation dip could be explained as a secondary estrogen surge which will cause your temp to 'dip' and can happen around the same time as an implantation dip. So there's no way to know but makes it a little exciting if you're not used to seeing one! Some charts don't experience dips at all though and go on to be bfps so it's definately not something you need to see 😀

Ttc-so I totally just stalked some charts in the ddg-most of us don't have our chart links anymore, but from the ones who did, I found at least 3 with dips! As others have said, you don't have to see one to get a BFP, but fun to speculate!
...AND LMSM-I'm loving your dip [emoji12] I can certainly understand your caution in wanting to test later. I had those OSOMs, which are super sensitive, which is most likely why I was able to see a BFP 2 days later. Can't wait for your BFP...looking very promising!!

An implantation dip is usually described as a sharp dip in temp that almost reaches or goes past coverline. Minor dips are far more likely to be caused by a secondary estrogen surge.

After you used the OSOMs, was so keen to get some - but it's pretty exxy to get them posted over here so decided not to..they were so clear to read too! :D
I do like my dip too but getting knots in my stomach from hoping that maaaaybe it could mean something - just don't want to get ahead of myself - the positive is that it is a clear and sharp dip, so unless it stays low, I guess I do have some chances that it could be implantation ;)

Hello everyone! So I stumbled upon this site a couple of weeks ago after finally making the decision with dh to try for a 4th and hopefully a boy! It took us a while to make the decision but we are so excited to be on this journey again! We currently have 3 girls ages 12, 10 and 5 and figured it's now or never if we are going to add another.

Ok enough with my history, on to now! So I got my first positive opk last night and have been having awful cramping and fullness in my lower abdomen. So I am guessing ovulation was tonight. I don't chart so I guess we will just see if I get a bfp in a couple of weeks ( if I can even wait that long) As far as swaying, we bd'd a lot in my fertile period, we will be conceiving under a male lunar cycle , according to astrology(if I get pregnant) I eat snacks all day! I've been trying to make my diet more alkaline friendly but I am not sure how well that worked out, so I am kmfx that what we did was enough. Honestly my girls were all conceived on random days and we weren't trying so the BDing wasn't happening all that much . probably only once in a fertile window. So I am hoping since we've changed that up it will work!

Eek I am so excited for this! I just need this 2ww to fly by! Good luck everyone!

Did you conceive your girls easily?

Halley has asked for you opinion on her chart and if she has indeed oed which it really looks like she has. I have admitted this morning to being at a loss as it certainly looks like she oed by temps however if you look at her opks prior to cd14 they are clearly clearly negative. The only opk that came close to pos was after the temp spike. I'm attaching a long winded pm I sent explaining why I thought she hadn't oed but even I'm questioning myself now 😂😂 I have never heard of oing without a noticeable surge, so unless hers is super dooper short surge and came and went within hours it looks to me like there has been no peak or even close to peak surge prior to temp spike..... here's screenshots of the explanation. Wont let me attach to this post

I guess my initial thoughts would be – opks are a great tool BUT they also can be deceiving – if you don’t have a similar concentration of hormone in the tested urine sample, it may not pick up on a surge that is effectively in the midst of happening …so overall, given the clear temp spike, there is def potential for O to have already occurred..
OR her body tried to ovulate, but never really got there – sending signs that mimic O..
I have had cycles where I was CONVINCED I had O’d – temp, opks, symptoms –only to have my fert specialist tell me with a scan it didn’t look likely and bw confirming I indeed hadn’t…
Frustrating as it may be – I think that as the opks did at some point get quite dark though not entirely positive – it might be safer assuming she did O, and just had a short surge and the temp is reflective of that?
It’s confusing I know – and we won’t 100% for sure – Halley is it worth maybe continuing testing opks to see if your body potentially gears up again and O’s or if the temp stays elevated hence leaning towards the theory O did already happen…
Sorry my essay here probs just confused the hella of every one – just a few thoughts?!

Hang on just realised that I missed the comment you made about opks getting positive post temp spike :P don’t mind my sieve brain…
Could it be – since the temp is taken in the AM that the surge happened overnight, and the darkest opk just picked up on the remainder of the hormone as the temp was rising that day?? Or something along those lines? I.e super fast surge and O?

Oh and Lola – yes, I do have heaps of the straight FRERs – I think I have a full box of 7 plus maybe an extra 3 leftover from another box- in any case, plenty to play with if I get a BFP to do progressing POAS ^^

Yes and I'm thinking this is a very real possibility!!! Unusual but seems to be the most likely explanation. Also she told me just before that her cycle is usually 28 days so seems ff is quite likely right. I'm feeling really bad at the moment as I feel like instead of helping all I've done is cause her unnecessary stress 🙁 (if you're reading this Halley I'm sorry 😔)

Re opks, you could continue but really the reason why I mentioned that is that it could be a back-up in case you aren’t convinced you might have O’d already… BUT thinking about it, it might just confuse you further depending on how they color (if they stay consistently light or go up and down in color etc). Would hate for you to be at loss even more! It sucks not being sure :hugs:

Hally, if they were going to get annoyed by anyone's messages I'm sure it would be mine, long before yours! I'm always worried and anxious and freaking out over something. My mind just has this unique capability of always thinking the worst is bound to happen to me. I do believe you still have a great chance for this cycle (you bd eod during the fertile period if I remember right) and that means you got attempts in on either O-4, O-2 and O day, or O-3 and O-1. Either way the most pregnancies result from O-2 and O-1, so you're covered with 2-3 attempts. May even be better that you didn't know it was time because the extra stress to concieve wasn't there! Fx dear

Edited to add: I just stalked your chart. It looks like you have 3 attempts on O-3, O-1 and O day. (Someone correct me if I'm misreading the chart) What are you worried about, that's great!! 3 attempts in the fertile window with a 2 day break before O-1! That's like a perfect line up!!

[emoji12] It's so great that the dr has followed you every step of the way this cycle...you know you o'd, you know your lining is good...this is SO your month!! xoxo
LMSM-this is SO your month too!! Yay for having all of those straight frer's ready!
Halley-very curious situation indeed! You aren't annoying anyone, please rant away anytime!!! I believe you've O'd too. Not the first time ff has been wrong, but your temps/chart are saying you O'd despite what your opk's are saying. LMSM suggested a very possible reason with a fast surge. Fx O has happened with all that hard BD work!
Momto3girls-started to read how you were a surrogate 3 times and all I could think about is how amazing you are!! Fertile myrtle indeed as well as helping others achieve their dream...just wow!

Bah! So my 2 year old messed up my temping a little today!! He woke us up at 5:30 this morning which is at least 2 hours earlier than I normally temp. I didn't get out of bed (my DH took care of the 2 year old - bless him!) and I took my temp at that time which was 97.02. I laid awake for awhile before falling back to sleep and when I woke up a couple of hours later and took temp it was 97.46. My pre-O temps are typically between 97.2-97.4. So - The 97.46 was probably a little elevated from waking up at 5:30 but between that & the 97.02 at 5:30 am... I'd say I didn't ovulate yesterday!

So I don't know what's going on as far as that positive OPK followed by several negative ones!!! Sounds like I'm in good company on this board with confusion over my OPKs :) Anyways I'll keep watching and if I don't get a temp spike in the next day or two I guess we'll give it another go as far as BD-ing? I really want only one fertile period attempt so I guess if I don't ovulate in the next day or two our next attempt should be maybe Friday? (we BD-ed yesterday, Tuesday).

Are you doing every 4 days? You can make it Monday or Tuesday. I was doing the e4d as you were and found I should've been counting Friday Saturday Sunday bd Monday. It's up to you which day you prefer since you are just starting out.

I don't know what I'm doing really :) We had planned to do 1 attempt at +OPK... I thought I maybe had a positive OPK on Monday but they've def been negative since then. So we did BD yesterday (Tues), but according to my temps I still haven't ovulated. So I'm still going to do the OPKs but if I don't get a temp rise tomorrow or Friday morning I'm thinking we should attempt on Friday? So it would be Tues(BD)-Wed-Thurs-Fri(BD). Does that sound right? I'm pretty sure I will ovulate by Friday b/c that would be CD 14 & my cycles are usually 24 or 25 days (I have a short LP.. 10-12 days normally).

Mommy, it must be a difference of how we perceive it because in the pictures you shared, what I got out of the conversation, is that e4d has 3 between XoooX and e3d has 2 between XooX lol! Which is what I originally thought, but I thought you meant something different. We should probably just go with the pictures you shared before we really confuse anyone!

Edit: actually I just read them again and I think they're saying that both 2 and 3 days between bd is considered e4d

Yea I think I initially thought e4d was 3 non-BD days in the middle but I think Atomic counts it as 2 non-BD days in the middle, but I think she thinks either approach is fine (Mommy2Apples was that screen shot post above from Atomic?). I would actually prefer to do 3 non-BD days just to make sure we're getting only 1 attempt in the fertile period, but I'm tentatively planning on Friday this week b/c Saturday would be CD 15 and I usually don't ovulate that late - so if I wait until Saturday I think I might miss it! What I'm REALLY hoping though is that I just ovulate today or tomorrow and then I won't need to worry about the next attempt this cycle :)

Btw you ladies have mentioned "dual hormone digital OPK tests". Which brands/ OPKs are those? If we don't get pregnant this cycle I think I'm switching to digital next cycle :)

TTC - I LOVE how this cycle panned out for you, I was a bit worried for a bit that DH did in deed pull-out at the most inopportune time. But it all worked out and your pattern looks beautiful!

Max and LMSM - I am on pins and needles waiting for you all to test!

Halley - It def looks like ou O'd. Sorry that the OPKs were so confusing for you. Some months are just that way! I have been temping and charting for nearly 12 years, and I still have confusing months. :)

ABC - hoping you get a definite answer to when you Od soon!

Mommy - can't wait to see what this next month and new plan brings!

Iwant - numbers are looking fantastic and I am so happy for your BFP.

It is awesome to see so many blue swayers on here right now!! I will dump ALL of my BLUE BABY DUST on all of you!!! I have LOTS to spare. :D FXd for all of you to get your BFPs soon!

Interesting to know ladies-I may have had it confused, but think I still ended up with 1 attempt phew!
ABC-clear blue has 2 digis & the dual hormone is the more expensive one, but it gives you a flashing smiley before your solid smiley and you use FMU. The flashing smiley indicates high fertility & detects the first hormone and the solid smiley indicates that the LH surge has been detected...so the highest chance of fertility. Once you get your solid, you stop testing, but it is great to compare with the IC OPKs. There are instructions for what day you should start using them. The other one just has the solid smiley and detects your 2 most fertile days I believe, but both great. I'd highly recommend giving it a try!

Shann: Thank you! I was freaking out on +opk day! The only bad part about this cycle is that after that incident dh didn't want the preseed to be used anymore. He said it grossed him out and the name makes it even worse haha! So we agreed that if I didn't use the lube he would give me an extra attempt. It just sucks because I really don't make a lot of cm on my own. Though on the morning before O I had a very small amount of stretchy cm so that made me feel a little better.

Shannshaff
July 12th, 2017, 02:33 PM
TTC - glad you have a compromise. I never used anything and have 5 boys. So you may not even need it. :) Atomic always says that there is most likely some fertile cm up where it is needed and it does not always make it's way out. ;)

Ladies, Atomic is very flexible on E4D or E3D. E4D has 2-3 days in between (3 being pinker) and E3D is 1-2 days in between (2 days being pinker). The reason for the discrepancy sometimes is due to people being antsy about TTCing. Some people have short cycles and would miss their fertile window or not have an attempt with good odds of conception. Likewise, some people have crazy long cycles and BDing more frequently would cause too many attempts in the fertile window. Pick a pattern and stick with it based on your average cycle length, or go with what will make your DH the most happy!

Thank you sky! I can't even express how happy I am with this cycle! There's nothing that I think i could have done better like there was last cycle. It will be devastating if all this hard work is not enough to catch that egg. Last cycle I didn't expect to concieve. I didn't even have high hopes or anticipation or anything until I noticed pink spotting and that's what convinced me. For af to show up was very confusing, but not discouraging. This time is totally different. If AF shows up this time i feel like it will completely break my hope.

Also, I wasn't going to share this for fear of being "that weirdo" but I know some of you believe in signs the same way I do.

Last night I was taking a bath and noticed something floating in my bath water. At first I thought it was a piece of toilet paper that must have stuck to my foot when I got in, but when I picked it up, it was a sticker. It was folded over and I couldn't peel it apart without it ripping. I have no idea what or where it came from or how it got in my bath with me, but here's a picture.

And then this morning my temp spiked, so yesterday was O. I laminated this sticker lol.

Hi and welcome momto3girls!! And fx for you! Sounds like you've given it a great shot and cant wait for you to test!!

Thanks! I can't wait either! Do you think I could get a positive at 1DPO?? lol

Hi & welcome Momto3girls! You are welcome to my blue dust Sounds like you've made some good boy-friendly changes! Fx for you & Happy 2WW!!

Thank you! I can use all the blue dust I can get !! I hope this 2ww flies by!

Eeeek I know....but I'm trying so hard not to over analyze. [emoji51] I'm having some serious "heaviness" (that's that only way I can describe it) in my lower abdomen, feels like dull AF cramps. I'd say I'm either 3-5 dpo, what do you think?

Momto3girls, welcome!! I have 2 daughters ages 5 and 7, and we are swaying for pink again! Mine would have the same age spread as yours if we add another. Do your girls all get along? My only concern this entire time is having my older two so close in age, and the last being left out of things.

Girls are awesome! A little hormonal at times but awesome :) We love our girls and wouldn't be upset with another one, but it would be nice to have a boy :) The littlest is left out sometimes, but my middle daughter does play with her quite a bit. They don't get along great all the time, especially with my oldest. My middle daughter is a bit of a shit disturber so she causes a lot of drama.

If you are super fertile and got girls, then the he diet would make you an u er super fertile lady, you def stand with greats chances of BFP 1st try! ;) you will find that we *may* encourage the poas addict in you too haha

Yay I can't wait! Encourage away! I have no willpower! lol

Welcome
Momto3girls! 🤞🏻[emoji1317]for a baby boy!!
Phew went to sleep and slept through 4 pages! Lol
Halley: this ttc stuff is confusing! Fx crossed you indeed did ovulate! Would continue with the eod method though! I'd honestly forget about the opks the rest of the cycle, I do after a few days when it's clear the color isn't budging. You aren't annoying! lol I'm sure I annoy them at times for real!
Ttc: eek!!
Max: yay for a rise!!
Lmsm: so close!!

The board moves so fast!! I came from babycenter that was way too slow for my liking and now I am feeling a little in over my head lol Thank you for the boy juju!

Ttc-I'm sooooo happy to see that beautiful spike so I know you are too! [emoji322][emoji322] You had me seriously lol with your dd's comment ;)
Max-do you still have some OSOMs? I like pbn's idea of waiting until 12dpo since there is a question of O date...or if you test early, just keep that in mind. I say do whatever you feel like at the moment...but when have we been known to stop someone from POAS??

Aww Thanks :) I loved being able to help people. There was a family I wasn't able to help due to non-viable embryos, which I still think about all the time. I wish I could help them all.

Sorry if I forgot anyone - welcome to all the new posters.

Oh Momto3girls (not really sure of your name, sorry if I am wrong) - WOW! Just wow. I have dreamed of being a surrogate, but I am getting too old. I truly wish I had done it when I was younger! You are awesome and I sure hope you get your desired little boy!

You got it right :) Thank you so much! Psst i've known surrogates in their 40s ;)

Oh my god. I thought I would never be able to catch up with u all chatty ladies. [emoji12][emoji12][emoji12]
So thrilled I could. ❤️❤️
....
Momto3girls - Welcome. How awesome you are to have been a surrogate 3 times. Respect. I agree with others that you are a fertile myrtle indeed and that will help u get your blue bundle. 🤞🤞
I hope I didn't miss anyone. Will be cheering you ladies on.

Thank you! I am KMFX!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome! I am trying hard to get caught up with the first half of july that I missed out on here! You seem like a fantastic group of ladies and I can't wait to get to know you all and share in my quest to have a boy!

All these signs ladies, FX so hard for you!
Mommy, now that you will have finished Clomid, it’ll be opk time soon, yippee!! :D

As for the e4d/e3d debate – I think it’s good more me that the e2d is for blue, it’s more straight forward  if I extrapolate, eod means there is 48h between BD (otherwise if it was 24h like Monday night 8pm then Tuesday night 8pm - ish it would be every day ^^) = so logically e3d, 72h between BD and e4d, 96h?
- eod BD Monday night 8ppm then Wed night 8pm? (no BD T so 1 full day in between)
- e3d BD Monday night 8pm then Thursday night 8pm ( no BD T,W so skipping 2 full days in between)
- e4d BD Monday night 8 PM then Friday night 8pm? (no BD T,W,T so skipping 3 full days in between)

Sounds like e3d and e4d (more so the latter) is very pink friendly – so I think you are well covered, pink swaying ladies ^^

Mommy – looking good chicky! Love the hair :D I’m so overdue for a trip to the hairdresser – it’s been close to a year haha – I think I will try to go when my parents arrive next week and we go away – I will have babysitters at hand for a few days so kinda now or never! ;)

TTCblue – re bed wetting but I think you are right, not making a big deal of it is key ;) my DD1, who had not had a night accident in over 6 months has spent the last month having accidents at night every few days – given it’s winter here it is hell to get the sheets dry –In my case I think the cold plays a big part as this is the first winter for her without nappies at night (she was day and nap toilet trained by 22 months)… so my mum is bringing over some more mattress protector sheets so I can have more spare as they take the longest to dry ;) She is so cute about it too, love her so much!

Gosh girls that have a 3rd kid already, can one’s heart keep expanding to love another? I know it does, it did when my 2nd came along – but man the love, the love!! So much of it <3 I think hubby is worried I might never stop wanting more haha
I was watching ‘One born every minute the other night’, and told hubby – “for this baby I would love to birth at home” (especially with my precipitous labours history) but we agreed getting a private midwife is too expensive (in other states there are some publicly funded home birth programs, alas not in Queensland) – I realise I have made this future bub a part of our family already – and it scares me to maybe not have that come to fruition - #3 is already so vividly present in our minds that I’m worried I’m over”capiitalising” a child that doesn’t even exist yet or may even never exist.
Does that make any sense? Sorry for my usual rambling haha

OMG-I'm an emotional mess, what in the world was I thinking watching Marley & Me again tonight? I watched it when it first came out, but gahhh, don't remember feeling this sad. I guess I watched it before we had kids. Interestingly, in the movie, they had 2 boys first and then 1 girl!!
Max & Mommy-thanks for the input, I was thinking I should wait. I go back to work at 14 weeks, so maybe I can get some highlights before I go back to the start of a fresh school year!
LMSM-I think it's completely natural to visualize our hopes and dreams of the future with our babies, even before they exist! It made me really sad when I had the chemical b/c I had already thought so far ahead, thinking about creative ways to share the news, the dd being so close to my mom's bday, what baby will be like etc...you just imagine a whole future ahead. You will get your 3rd!! This cycle looks so amazing for you!! I hope & pray this is the ONE!! [emoji173]

Okay sorry for the random questions but I just had a few things come to mind..

Do I still need to get 1-2 extra attempts in to cover delayed O, or does temp rise mean O has definitely occurred and I no longer need the extra attempts? I would like to go back to e4d until af because dh doesn't like "required sex" lol.

Is there a such thing as eating too much on the HE diet? I usually keep calories around 2500 and pay extra attention to nutrition, but I swear today I am a bottomless pit! I've already eaten 2500 calories with nutrition off the chart and I'm actually hungry. Not to mention is only 7:30 so I usually eat 2 more times between now and bed... This has never happened, I'm usually stuffed on this diet. I have no idea why I'm so hungry lol.

LMSM
July 12th, 2017, 09:25 PM
Lola – what have you done? I cried my eyes out watching that movie, and that was before kids, and not preggo – heck I cry at some ads at times, so am a lunatic though  – crazy lady, what have you done to yourself !? ;)
Hope you get to watch a lighter, not so emotional movie soon to cheer you up – any silly series to watch and laugh before the day ends?! :hugs:

TTCblue – hungry?? Pregnant? :D I can’t tell you if it means anything as I’m actually not hungry and struggle to eat enough – feeling too full gah – I can manage liquids well, like I had no issues getting amilky tea down this am but struggled getting through a small bowl of cereals without gagging… for me that could just be PMS though – for you probs too early for anything butttt if it’s unusual for you, it’s not unlikely that it could be linked to a little bean ^^
It seems pretty safe to assume you have O’d already (*checks chart again *) – look at that spike in temp – I mean, look at that riiiiise! You’d probably be pretty safe to go to e4d or so now if that’s what you prefer – we haven’t had sex in like 4 days now so think tonight will have to, though am knackered – hubby tried an approach last night but I just promptly fell asleep

Ttc-I agree! Def looks like you O'd, think you're safe to go with e3 or 4d. I'm interesting to watch your temps over the next few days. I fully expect to see high temps & you'll get crosshairs after 3 high temps!

Ttc-and I don't know much about the HE diet, so I'll let the blue swayers chime in. BUT I do know that's how I feel right now being pregnant-a bottomless pit & not my usual. Maybe you worked up an appetite after all of that BDing?

LMSM
July 12th, 2017, 10:15 PM
Lola – glad to see you can lighten the mood with some funny movie! Haven’t even seen the 1st of my big fat greek wedding movies – sounds like it’s worth it for a light-hearted session ^^

Oh and yes TTC, not an issue per se for blue swaying – health wise if you eat only junk for long periods, not ideal – but not an issue if just sporadic – won’t hurt your sway – much better off eating more than less, especially though if you can make it * mostly *nutritious choices (which, let’s face it we don’t always feel like lol).

Hi Ladies

LMSM- ikwym. Its natural to think ahead and envision future babies as part of the family yet I understand the anxiety. I didn't realise you were in Aus! Me too. Your heart will certainly expand with all that love. I have 5 and my husband says im glowing all the time 😂

Ttcblue-crazy signs with that sticker 🤔 fx and im sending blue dust. Ive got semi trailer loads 💫💫💫

Mommy- i love the name. Definite signs everywhere. Love the hair 😁

Halley- i feel you on the opks. Some cycles ive used them they've been great. Shows clear surge and it fades out. Others its been days and days if 'building up' then a positive for a few days.

Hi Lola hope you are well.

Hi ABC and anyone else I've missed.

Just finished 2 night shifts and im off for a nap.

Im keeping better tabs of my opks. This months egg is really building up i don't normally have lines showing up so soon.

I also don't understand why cd7 seems darker. I think they will do this for the next week then darken up. CP is good and CM is changing.

Is anyone testing soon.

Wow this is a busy thread!! I'm trying hard to keep up & keep track of everyone and where they're at but I'm not doing a very good job yet! :) July is a busy month it seems!! It's fun to see lots of blue swayers on here... May you take all of my blue dust :) :)

I'm sure this is asked a lot on those boards but for those doing the coffee & alcohol for pink sway, are you still consuming them during the TWW? I know there are different views on drinking alcohol before you know you're pregnant & I'm guessing it's recommended to cut back on the caffeine intake as early as possible to avoid the miscarriage risks but I guess I don't know what we're supposed to do as far as the sway. Do we stop entirely or just cut back on these two things until AF arrives/BFN, then start up again until the next O? In the past 4 months of this dieting I've really gotten addicted to my multiple cups of coffee in the morning and my wine at night... Def going to miss those whenever we get pregnant :) Although I will enjoy eating more food again!!

Netti – woohoo for O gearing up! :D enjoy your nap!
Did you use opks before or is this new for you? Do you know if you tend to surge fast or not – i.e. does it build up gradually over days before the pos opks or does it change fast?
You’re not temping are you? If you are, please share your chart!
Yep, am in Brisbane - where in Aus are you?
I wish I could be told I’m glowing even with two lol hubby never tells me stuff like that, but then again, we haven’t slept well in years haha well, he did tell me I looked good in the new dress I bought the other day so I take that as a massive compliment already haha

I *think* Max and I are probs going to be the next poas’ers? I’m now 9dpo (will likely test maybe Saturday – maybe Sunday if I can manage to wait it out) and she’s not too far behind me (3 or 5dpo depending on when you agree O is) – and TTCblue is in the TWW too just waiting on crosshairs on FF ;)
Halley likely will be confirmed as being in the TWW, due to uncertainty re O – not sure which dpo we’d say you are at now hon? Sorry didn’t save your chart yet ^^

And we have quite a few ladies in the waiting game for O too :D

I am pretty sure it would be ok, but in case I might be up the duff, a warm bath tonight would be ok, you reckon? I never had a bath tub until recently so would like to use the beautiful bath bombs my girls made for mothers’ day – and my muscles are tense so I think I would enjoy it – as long as it’s not stinking hot, it’s ok right?
I’m being paranoid surely

I would say your best bet for risk/benefit for both sway and protection of a potential pregnancy (reduce chances of m/c) – just cutting back should be fine (maybe make that glass of wine a bit smaller for instance ^^). That way if you need to keep dieting for another month, you have kept up with the sway. And if you are pregnant, it’ll just be a matter of cutting out what you can’t have pregnant ;)
Things don’t cross the placenta until you usually find out (4 weeks ish, when placenta is formed and fully effective? I think?) anyways, so as long as reasonable intake it should be fine...I am a paranoid and don’t do any booze at all in the tww, but then I rarely drink anyways – and limit intake of caffeine : in this case for me as am swaying blue, I just drink a couple of lightly brewed black teas with milk instead of coffee for the sway anyways and only have the odd coffee before O and none in the dpo period – but that’s just me ;)

Lmsm & Lola thank you for the answers! I appreciate it. :) I'm just too tired to want to bd again tonight, so I'm glad I don't have to lol. And noooo I didn't mean is it a sign of pregnancy lol! I'm 1dpo! There's no way a bean is in there  I just wanted to know if I was hurting my sway at all by consuming a whooping 3000 calories today lol! All healthy eating, but just completely blows my mind how hungry I am today. First time I haven't had to force myself to eat since starting the he diet. I just woke up to eat again too!

Netti: Thank you! Semi trailor loads, that got me lol.

LMSM: if I Oed on cd 14 I am currently 6dpo. But hesitant to even think of a hpt. Hubby wants me to try on Monday which will be 10dpo.

https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6b531dHalley – wow , already 6dpo potentially! Don’t know why I had stayed stuck on like 4dpo hehe So you will test just after me :D and there is no pressure to test , only you can decide when to – as much as your hubs is keen for you to do it Monday – he is convinced it worked, is that why he is that eager?

Even 3000 calories would be ok if not all the time – and if nutritious healthy stuff, then it’s more for weight management that you might not want to consume that much all the time ;) hey, even at 1dpo, hormonal changes happen so why not? The progesterone makes one tired and sleepy, why not hungry too?! ;)

It will either be Monday or Tuesday.
Lol yes he is very excited.
When I fell pregnant last time. It was not planned but would not change it at all. She is a gorgeous little girl. We were just deciding to have fun for a few days and then completely forgot about it. Out of the blue one day I said I wanted to do a hpt, it was evening so I was very doubtful. It was a bfp. So with that in mind and him knowing all the work we put into it. He is very positive

Oh with such great fertility, and adding a sway that works in favour of boosting fertility even more - you have nothing to worry about ;)

Sorry for my delayed response, we had to suddenly (temporarily) move in with DH great grandparents to take care of them and I get practically no service at all. :/

Also, if I can't get more opks, how do I know when to start taking pregnancy tests?
