I used to take anti-anxiety medication but i stopped in february after reading a post of atomics that said antidepressants/anti-anxiety meds sway strongly pink. I'm very hesitant to have even a sip of alcohol while blue swaying.. I haven't had anything to drink since March. I tried the hot bath but my kids wouldn't stop fighting. I swear it's like they know when the 2ww is and they want to remind me to think long and hard about having that 3rd baby.

Maybe I'll see if I can find some yoga videos online. Does yoga sway blue?

Thank you! What pregnancy tests do you ladies recommend I use? I've been using the clinical guard brand because I got them in a huge pack for cheap! Now it's time for me to reorder, so im open to suggestions!

Well yoga isn't cardio and probably considered moderate exercise which is recommended for blue as far as I knew? I think it'd only do your sway good 😀 I also think its not going to matter because you'll get your bfp his cycle - I will be shocked if you don't honestly but understand not wanting to get your hopes up but it cant be good to just assume you're out either. I'm sorry you're struggling with this and coming off anxiety meds helps explains why ❤ You are doing great to stay off them, just remember that all of this will feel 10 fold more than it actually is because you don't have the help of the meds. I'd probably even rethink staying off them too if it becomes too much. You need to be healthy both physically AND mentally ❤

Mtolbert frer (first response early result) are the ones I'd strongly recommend especially if you can get the straight handled ones. Wondfo are also very good and cheaper but I'd have some frers on hand to test with if you see a squinter on a wondfo :)

Looking fantastic Mommy!
Ttc-I try to stay distracted during the 2ww...my house usually gets organized & spotless lol. I have a lot of anxiety myself & currently take meds...I was glad to hear it swayed pink for me. I'm taking a break from it in the 1st trimester. My OB actually has said if the benefit outweighs the risk of being on them that it was ok to continue while pregnant. I just felt like it would be better to be off of them early on. Hahaha at your yoga attempt!
Mtolbert-I found the OSOM on amazon & think that's where I found my old style straight frer's too. Be cautious though b/c sometimes they'll advertise the straight ones, but send the curved ones like they did to Mommy! ...but Mommy, didn't you find some in Wal-Mart? They're not easy to find in stores!

Mommy2apples
July 14th, 2017, 10:54 PM
Thanks Lola! Lola I did! Mtolbert there was plenty of them at my Walmart so hopefully they'll be at yours too! I was stoked they started carrying them! You'd be better off to check your Walmart first, before attempting to order them online.

Mtolbert-yes, check wal-mart then! But if you don't see them, I found the link where I bought mine & they were in fact the old style. I bought 2 boxes!

The OSOMs & frer's both will show a nice progression of lines. The wondfos are great for detecting early, but they don't get very dark.

Lola: I agree, I've always stopped taking mine as soon as bfp, but this time I figured it would help to quit sooner. My house has been spotless for 3 days in a row.. I'm 3 dpo lol! I do it too! Clearly, at home yoga is not for stay at home moms!

Ttc, hilarious! looks just like my house when I try to do any form of exercise on the floor. That's why I don't bother anymore [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
After all the excitement yesterday I'm pretty disappointed this morning. Managed to get a frer and it's completely negative and also my temp has dropped too. I had three faint lines yesterday on different tests, could they all have been evaps?

Pbn3
July 15th, 2017, 03:23 AM
Mummy2boys wow I would have thought for sure there'd be something on the frer! Is it a straight or curved one? I doubt the tests yesterday were evaps as you tested on more than one different kind of test, you'd haveto be pretty unlucky for both to be wrong..... The blue dye one *may* have been a false pos and the pink one could possibly be an evap because you pulled it apart but from memory it looked to have colour 🤔? Did the pink dye test have a line before you pulled it apart? The temp drop is still above colour line and isn't much of a drop so I wouldn't read anything onto it yet unless it keeps dropping. When did yiu check the frer for a result? I always checked around the 10 minute mark when testing early as it can take that long for even a squinter to come forth.

Hi Pbn, yeah I did two pink ones and both had a line before I pulled them apart, they were pink but very, very faint. I've just checked the frer again and definitely looks white, I'll post a pic. I think it's the straight one. How strange!

Mummy: I had a feeling I wasn't the only mom not allowed to lay on the floor without getting a face full of baby butt! At least they had just got out of the bath and smelled sooooo so good! I agree with everyone else. 9dpo is very early and most people don't get positives. I would try to wait a couple days.. (I plan not to test at all until 11dpo, HATE taking tests and still having no answers)..

Thank you ladies! There weren't any at my walmart, and the shipping for the straight handled ones was going to be way too long, so I just got the curved. Will it make a big difference?? If so, I'll just go ahead and order the straight handled ones as well. DH is going to think I'm crazy for ordering so many 😂

Mtolbert just stick with the curved ones. If you start testing at 10dpo then there's a good chance you'll see a line even on the curved. Start testing whenever you like of course 😀 but just be aware they aren't as sensitive in case you get bfns to begin with :)

So this is more of a parenting question than a ttc question, but i didn't think anyone would mind.

Tonight I had something happen with my 3 year old.. I've been thinking about it for a couple hours now and I don't quite know what to tell her, so I thought I would reach out for suggestions.

At bedtime, she said her prayer, talked to her great grandma (up in Heaven), and then she asked God for another sister. I won't say exactly what she said, because you guys wouldn't understand what she was meaning the way I did, but I will paraphrase..

She said, "God please put another baby sister in my mamas belly. I know daddy doesn't want one, but I know he will love her because he loves me and sissy. I want another sissy, but maybe a boy too."

Now obviously she must have heard us discussing this when we thought she was sleeping because we don't talk about it in front of her. Though once she was looking at my maternity pictures and asked how she got in my belly, and I told her "God puts babies in womens bellies when they want to be a mommy" so that's where she got that part.

What I'm afraid of is that if I don't concieve, she'll blame daddy. She must have heard him say he didn't want another baby. She's already been "snubbing" him the last couple days and now I'm sure this is why. What do I tell her to explain she might not get another sibling? Or should i not say anything at all? Any advice is appreciated. This just breaks my heart.

Pbn3
July 16th, 2017, 05:47 AM
Ttcblue I'm not sure there's much you can say..... have you told you husband? Maybe he can do next bedtime prayers and if she repeats the same wish then he can discuss it with her? Or if he's not interested in addressing it then I'd think about just letting it go and hope she forgets. Maybe direct next bedtime prayers to something else by saying 'let's say a prayer for (person) or let's pray for this or that'... sorry not much help with this 😕

Ttcblue im not much help with this. I think maybe letting it go and if she brings it up again then addressing it. Not quite the same topic but my eldest boys always ask why they don't have a sister. Ive just explained to them that we are blessed with what will be will be and that's that.

My ovaries must not like the cold they still aren't shaking a tail feather 🤣 i think the line of today's test is a shade more than yesterdays almost non existent line. It seems it will be a slow week for me.

How is everyone else holding up.

Pbn and Netti: Thank you so much for your answers. I can't really talk to my mom or anyone else IRL because we haven't told anyone we're ttc. I told dh about it when he got home last night and he said he would talk to her. I think I'll just tell him not to say/do anything yet. Maybe I can put it off until after af is due. If I'm lucky there won't be a reason for him to talk to her.

Lolabelle
July 16th, 2017, 09:33 AM
Ttc-See what happens this cycle & fx it won't even be an issue!! You are so covered with your rockstar attempts, feeling so hopeful for you!! Try not to think of the pressure from DH with only allowing a few cycles and focus on, this WILL happen!! I agree with the others, maybe let her bring it up again & maybe DH can do prayers one night? Or if she snubs him again, maybe DH could ask an open-ended question to see if she brings it up again. Just a simple "what's wrong?" "Are you feeling ok?" or "Is something bothering you?" etc. or something like that. I'm not sure, just a thought...

Pbn it will be monday. Af came early in the morning this cycle so cd11. I'm ready for o to get here, so I can catch my egg! Really hoping the dual cb opks does the trick! Plan to get my attempt in at midnight, even though my do just hates those wake up, because of work. Only way I know we will get our attempt on time. Say I get a midnight attempt and get a positive opk that morning, could I get in another attempt that day, or would that be boy territory?

Ttc: is honestly just let it be! Who's to say you aren't expecting anyways!

I just thought she was angry at him for not being home much the past couple days. After hearing her say that it just clicked. I'll wait a few days and if af shows then I'll wait for her to mention it again before I have dh talk to her.

Mommy: Thanks girl, I sure hope that's true. I would love to be able to tell her we're getting a baby rather than trying to find a way to explain (in kid terms) why we can't.

Momto3girls hope the week passes quickly for hpt time! What tests are you using and sorry I know you filled us in a few days ago but what were you attempts again?

Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Tests I currently have at home are just dollarstore ones. I figure if I crack and test early then at least I am not wasting expensive ones! I may get FRERs if I am getting faints on the dollarstore ones just to see that beautiful pink line. So our attempts.. I am not sure I understand what you mean but I will just give you a run down of everything :) We BD a lot in my fertile period. I made sure to O after BDing after a +OPK. I was very uncomfortable the day after +opk so we didn't do any more BDing, which I think is good for boy sway anyways? Oh also I have been eating lots of food. I work at a daycare so we get very balanced meals with lots of veggies and fruit. DH and I have both been taking Apple Cider Vinegar to help with our PH. I realized yesterday that I had been drinking alcohol so I am a little sad about that since I hear it sways pink :S I think there was more but I can't remember. We didn't do much to sway but I am hoping at least having lots of BDs in will help as with my girls we BDd once in my fertile period. DH also has only boys in his family, boy cousins, only brothers, only uncles. Oh also according an astrology thing where it tells you the gender based on the moon, we will have conceived on a boy cycle. So I am KMFX that we did enough and that I am actually pregnant! This is our first cycle trying!

Mummy- I can't believe those tests were neg! I swore that I saw the line on the first one clear as day! Hopefully you will see some lines on the FRER soon!

LMSM - WOOOHOOO!! That's a beautiful BFP! Congrats !!

I haven't really been too tempted to test but the more I see others testing the more it makes me want to! I am only 5dpo today so that is not going to happen lol. I am trying so very hard to wait until at least wednesday (i'll be 8dpo) But would prefer to wait a little longer...

I am having such a hard time keeping track of who is doing what and where everyone is.. but I am reading everyone's posts!

GL everyone who is waiting to O! And for everyone waiting to test, May the patience be with you! I can't wait to see all of your beautiful BFPs start rolling in!

Thanks ladies, but I am definitely out this month. Negative tests again today and I've started to bleed a little. It seems awful bad luck to get three false positive tests [emoji53] Maybe it's just not going to happen for us. It's strange because I got pregnant first try for both of my boys. I guess it's to do with age, my DH is 42 and I'm 40 now.
Anyway, hope you ladies are all well. Who is next to test?

Hugs mummy! Don't give up! It'll happen when you least expect it! We thought I would get a positive last cycle due to the way my temperature chart was looking. Nope.

Pbn- What will the next week show?? I didn't know temping could show anything other than ovulation!

Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
*sometimes* your temps can look promising in a pattern they form. But it doesn't always happen. The most ordinary looking chart can be a bfp one. It's really only the temps from 6dpo onwards that *may* get exciting. I won't go into it because I don't want you feeling out if you don't see it. As I said even the most plain charts can result in a bfp :)

Momto3girls that sounds fantastic!! Cant wait for you to start testing! What dpo are you now?

Mummy2boys I was so hoping this would be your month. I'd stick with testing with frers now. There is a chance this cycle was a chemical as it is odd to get three false pos hpts, especially two different brands... big hugs and treat yourself to something on af day xxoo

Hi all! Haven't been on here the past few days... Did I miss any BFPs?!

Ttcblue that's interesting about your little girl... Is this the girl born in 2013? I have a boy born in 2013 (he's 4.5 yo) and he seems to be picking up on baby stuff too lately!! The other day - out of nowhere - he goes "Mommy I want a little sister." Then he was singing "He's got the whole world in his hands" today and he sang "He's got all the baby sisters in his hands". Kind of odd! We do have some subtle pregnancy-related conversation around him (but about things he wouldn't understand like ovulation!), but I think kids at that age are just sooooo much more perceptive than we sometimes realize! I don't know what to tell you but it sounds like your DH is willing to talk to her if needed and give her some reassurance on things!

So I have NO idea what happened w/ me this cycle! I seem to have for sure ovulated by now (currently on CD16) but my temping between Wednesday and Saturday this week got ALL messed up!!! My boys were both waking up in during the night/ early morning, messing w/ my sleep cycle, & I was waking up either way earlier or way later than normal - it was all screwy! So my temps for Friday & Saturday on my chart are estimates using a "BBT adjuster" tool I found online (I woke up earlier than normal - A LOT earlier than normal - on those two days!!). Fertility Friend is now telling me I ovulated on Tuesday (CD11), which I don't think is true b/c I had a really low temp on Thursday morning and I think my Wednesday temp was falsely high for a reason I can't remember right now (I think I woke up later than normal?) But my *I think* positive OPK was on Monday afternoon and I have not gotten an OPK that has looked even remotely positive since then. So basically I think I ovulated sometime between Tuesday & Saturday!!!! We had our one attempt on Tuesday afternoon so I think I have a shot this cycle but we'll see!

Ugh... Temping is SO much harder for me to do now b/c of my kind of erratic sleep schedule & two little boys waking me up during the night/early morning!!! It's really quite stressful! I'm going to keep trying to do it but if it becomes too much I think I might just use the dual OPKs, do our attempts based on those and then just use temping a few days per cycle to confirm that I've O'd!

Whoops missed some posts!

Ttcblue glad you had a chat about it with dh and he is willing to address it if need be :)

Mommy2apples any more than one attempt leans towards blue BUT if you've been going strong on the diet (which you have you look amazing!!!!) and have clomid on your side then you have a good chance this will even out the extra attempt... a second attempt is a decision only you can make, you either take the road of one sway tactic swaying less pink but increase odds of conception or you stick with one attempt which will sway more pink but cut odds of conception. Maybe ask atomics advise as I'm not 100% sure but I would think clomid would sway stronger than number of attempts 🤔 again I'm not sure though so maybe start a thread and run it past her?

Mummy-sorry, I def saw those lines :( Don't lose hope! As frustrating as it may be, on a positive note, this is good for your girl sway! I got pregnant 1st cycle for both of my boys as well & it took me 5 months this time...so hoping that makes a difference! I'll be 39 in 2 months, so I understand the age thing. My OB said that the chances of getting pregnant each cycle drops from 20% to 15% over 35, and 10% at 40! Don't let that discourage you, it WILL happen [emoji173]

Ok ABC 😀 so agree that it looks like you've oed but because of the screwy temps exactly which day is debatable. You may have oed cd11 the day after your pos opk and your temp on cd13 could simply be a fallback rise which is quite common. I used to get them myself :) cd13 is also a possibility for o day however it is far more common to o day after pos opk than 3 days after. It definately can and does happen 3 days after, its just not the norm that's all. Did you do an opk on cd11 or 12? It's possible to have more than one day of pos opks. If this is your first cycle charting and using opks then its all new and we have no previous data or experience to compare to. I'd lean towards ff allocation of crosshairs being right for now with the info you have entered but just bear in mind when it comes to testing that you may be 2dpo less than it says you are.

Good morning (or evening!) lovelies!

So sorry I didn’t get to drop by more this weekend – was a bit of a haze with all the stuff we had lined up.
And sorry in advance for the epistle-post!

TTC – woohoo for crosshairs, looking good! I would totally second all that was said earlier around managing your daughter’s comments and so forth – they pick up on so much without us realising, I think that you don’t want to cause more anxiety as she will likely see that it upsets you too – if she raises it again, then maybe can you/DH discuss with her ”baby I heard that you said XXXX – can you tell Mummy/Daddy why?” or something along those lines - open the discussion then if she wants to talk about it, you/DH can give her reassurance ;)
And tbh, with those attempts, you have such a great chance of being pregnant anyways, so don’t get too worked up – don’t put pressure on you or DH – and promise, it will happen – and your DD will have a new sibling soon! ;)

Mummy2boys – that is so weird that your tests would react like that – unlikely to have been an indent on all of them...like PBN said sorry that it’s not what you expected- it’s terrible being excited and then the down after that is so hard to deal with :hugs: I sincerely hope that next cycle brings you a healthy sticky bean!

Mommy2apples –attempt time already, woohoo!!! FX lovely!

Netti – keeping a close eye on you for your O! did I miss it?

Mom3girls – lots of BD and some changes to your diet is already huge – so hoping you get that BFP!
I am in awe of you having been so generous to have carried other couples’ kids – what a selfless thing to do – a friend of mine struggled with infertility and was considering having a surrogate (laws allow it here in QLD under certain circumstances) but she found the process too daunting as she also had to find donor eggs – and has let go the idea of a kid full stop – it makes my heart so heavy for her – thank goodness for people like you willing to help! <3

Lola, Kat, PBN, Ash, Nacire, Sky, Iwant4 – and all the other pregnant ladies – how are you?
Did I miss scans or important milestones? Ash I think you had your nuchal last week??
Sorry so much going on I can’t keep up! haha

Max– have to check your chart, as I don’t have my tablet with the links saved right now – FX it continues to be as beautiful as it has been so far!!!

Mtolbert – FX for you too hon! So many in the TWW – exciting!!

ABC – I can so sympathise – bad sleep does make it so much harder temping - on the other hand if all sleeps were bad, you should still be able to see a pattern, if you know what I mean? (when I fell pregnant with DD2, DD1 was sleeping verrryyyy poorly, I was up 10-15 times a night and yet my chart actually was rather consistent – because the bad sleep had become my norm if that makes sense?? Lol).
FX that the one attempt was , well placed and gets you your BFP! :D

Ok, update here –
Thanks so much for all your lovely thoughts and words, much appreciated!
DD2 is better but Friday night she coughed so badly she vomited everywhere – she still has bouts of cough at night/nap time when she is laying down – but is otherwise ok, bar a bit cranky /clingy (clinginess could be the pregnancy too – she has had a few episodes of panicking when waking up asking for her mama).
Otherwise, what can I say - thank god for FRERs, because the ICs are only juust picking up a faint faint line :D
Top is 11dpo (6hour hold)
Middle is 12dpo (6hour hold)
Bottom is 13dpo, this am (only 3 hour hold as was up and just couldn’t hold any longer at 3am ) – hubby’s was like – ‘yeah it’s the same as yesterday’s?’ (erm, nooo it’s brighter, is it not? Lol)37079

I told hubby Saturday night – after putting the kids to bed – I wrote this on my belly

37080 and once in bed asked him to check as I felt something weird on my tummy – he lifted the shirt and just laughed out loud, saying I was silly, then gave me a big cuddle with wet eyes and kissed the belly – soooo cute :D then ever the practical man, he started talking bigger car and bedroom arrangements haha After showing him the tests (like all men, looking at the frer ‘is that positive?’ -Yes dear doesn’t need to be as dark as the other line – just look at the digital mate!), also gave him the Lennylamb tiger ring sling I had bought him yonkies ago – a ring sling was one of the only means of carrying DD2 he liked (though I only had a cheap one back then) when she was little before he could use the Manduca so this will be his to carry #3 ^^
(Lola the magic mug hasn’t arrived yet but was intending to use that for the parents if I decide to announce it to them whilst they are here – hard not to, we’ll be together 24/7 – but it will still be sooo early and I am very superstitious – but then again am already feeling nauseated – last night I had to spit out my meat on the plate (bad example for the kids who we tell not to do that) or I would have vomited right there and then… lol)
I saw my GP yesterday – and will go get my full bloods done this am (including quant. bcg) – and she said we’d then book in for an early dating scan – and we can then book me in for the Midwifery Group Practice at the Mater.
I will get a hold of my fert specialist this am for my progesterone pessaries so I can have hopefully before going on leave Thursday (my parents arrive Weds).
This hasn’t sunk it yet – So unreal!!!! Regardless of this baby’s gender – please let it be sticky – and thanks the HE diet, as have never been fertile before! :D

Ok I better stop now I have tons of work and need to duck out to get my bloodwork done too….

:hugs:

Thanks so much ! Surrogacy is quite daunting, there's just so much involved and it's so expensive.. Especially when you have to get egg donors involved.. One couple I tried to carry for had 4 embryos left and none of them took for us and they decided not to continue trying. It's such an awful thing to have to go through ... I ended up carrying twins twice and a singleton for 3 different couples though which was just amazballs!

I am glad your daughter is feeling better! Nothing worse than coughing to the point of throwing up! My youngest has been getting colds like that every time she gets sick. It's awful.
I love how you told DH that is so cute! What is this magic cup everyone keeps mentioning? I must have missed it in the so little posts this board has >.<

Mummy, don't give up. I'm sorry af had arrived, I thought you would get a + this cycle. Even if it takes a few cycles there's no reason that you wouldn't be able to concieve. Do many women your age and older give birth to beautiful, happy babies. Hang in there.

ABC, Yes, born in 2013, she will be 4 in October. She's always been very vocal and we started her out with prayers at birth. Even though we knew she didn't understand, we wanted her to hear them every night. She started saying her prayers for herself at age 2. So the praying and talking to great grandma and God is a nightly routine and no surprise, it was just the stuff she was saying. She was repeating things dh and I had said when she was upstairs one night and we thought she was sleeping. :(

Lmsm, good to hear from you! Thank you for the response :) I really hope pebble is already growing and beating implantation. That would be wonderful. 6 days left until testing. I love love love how you told dh! So cute!!

Momto3girls - I ordered a “magic” cup – essentially it looks like a plain black mug when cold but when you pour hot liquid such as coffee or tea in it, it reveals the image I have personalised with - in my case I wrote “Baby B #3” with the picture of a little Bee (B is the initial of our last name) – if it arrives in time, will likely use it to announce the pregnancy to our respective parents that are visiting from overseas in coming days/weeks ;)

PBN - thank hon (using “little voice”) – will probs drop by the DDG after I get my BW results – the collector at the pathology, after I said I was going on holidays, said he would mark it as urgent – not sure when that means the doc would be getting results by – late this arvo maybe?! So I probably won’t know until the morning tomorrow ;)
On the bright side, though my usual Fert spec. is actually away this week as he injured himself poor him, his colleague has done up a script for me so have to stop at the hospital on my way home and then run to the compounding pharmacy close to home as have called and they will have some pessaries for me this arvo while they make the order – so will be a mad rush to get there before picking up the kids etc but man I am relieved! :D

Thanks lovelies, just burst down crying on the phone with hubby – who of course was rational and told me to be positive – and that there was nothing we could do either way and if it doesn’t work out, best it be now, that there was a reason – but I don’t think I could bear to lose this one for fear of losing my mind…last m/c nearly broke me. If I had had the same happen with my bubs that went to term I could accept it as normal, but for me it equates a new m/c which I cant deal with.
Will try to leave the office early to get my hands on the progesterone asap.

Sending most positive and sticky thoughts your way LMSM xxoo and you are so much stronger than you think. Can you ring and ask your Fs's collegue to do you up a repeat hcg quant request to pick up this arvy as well so you can get another blood draw Wednesday morning? Having an answer as to whether your betas are doubling may give you some relief until your first scan. Huge hugs and I know just how scary and worrying this can be. Definitely natural to worry! I'm sure I'd have the same reaction! Spotting is pretty common early on & due to the pink/brown nature, sounds like your cervix just settling or old blood. Please try to head out from work early so you can get the progesterone started and won't feel as stressed-don't want to stress little bean! [emoji173]Keeping you in my prayers! I won't stay away as such, will keep reading you! But may not be as active until' I know whether I can even envisage this pregnancy having a chance.
I will , if I can convince GP for a second lot of hcg bw, do the bs on Weds morning and we leave Thursday early afternoon for the Sunny coast so after that will not really have too much internet connection until the 28th when we come back ;)
Took a frer tonight and it's not darker than this am but just the same, maybe lines are thinner /more defined..I did another cb digi and still says 1-2 weeks (normal, 2 days after the 1st duh) sô will try to take that as my comfort for tonight....

Will keep my FX for eggies to be released, fertilised, and BFPs to make their appearances for those waiting for all of the above !

Hi ladies, good morning! Sorry for being MIA - we typically host visitors on the weekends and it's hard to find time to log in with extra kids and people in our home. It's also a great distraction from the tww, thankfully!

LMSM, try not to stress too much about it...I think it's very normal and I've had a few friends have the same thing and go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies. Easier said than done, but try to relax.

TTC, super cute and I'm proud of your ability to put that together, my goodness! I wouldn't even know where to start...

Alright ladies, I told myself that I wasn't going to test until 12dpo or so, but noticed that today was the 25th day of my cycle and that's my lucky number, so I figured I might as well. I've had every sign imaginable lately and really thought I was going to see a positive. I've had super sore nipples the last few days, a bit of nausea, dull AF like cramping, increased need to pee, etc. I took an OSOM and it's stark white. I just don't get it...my girls were so easy to conceive and I know that I ovulated (from both ovaries nonetheless) and my lining measured fine. So disheartening...

(((Huge Hugs))) LMSM and Max!!

LMSM- I've had bleeding (heavier than spotting and bright red) in my last 2 pregnancies. It's so hard not to worry but it is very common. It sounds like yours was old blood, which is pink/brown. I hope it stops, and I hope you can relax a bit soon. Be careful with the progesterone suppositories, I took them with my DS3 and ended up with a yeast infection and a UTI after the bleeding stopped. I was told it can be a side effect of taking progesterone suppositories when pregnant. Be on the look out!

Max- Bummer! You have every right to be disappointed and don't worry about being a downer! This TTC stuff is so HARD!! I'm hoping you have a slow cooker in there like I did with my DS3. I couldn't get a positive until 21dpo! 🤞🏻so hard for you!!

Max, don't get so disappointed yet, it's possible that you're only 8-9dpo, and your chart looks amazing--that's what I've heard! :) I don't think it's fair to assume your out this cycle unless af shows. I'm going crazy in this 2ww too. I hope your company can keep your mind off of it. When I'm tempted to test I just remind myself that it's too early, it will be negative, and I will be disappointed. So then there's no point. This time I'm working my butt of on all these new projects I love and that gives me the sense of accomplishment that temporarily takes the place of ttc. Fx this is your cycle.

Okay ladies, I'm just curious because I don't know much about charts, but is there any way to tell if a bfp is coming soon? I know some women get an implantation dip, but is there anything else that can be a hint? I'm just so impatient.

Lolabelle
July 17th, 2017, 01:42 PM
Ttc-I'll let pbn & some of the others with more experience with charting chime in, but I think for the most part it's a wait & see thing! You're looking for your temp to stay up & for patterns, but I've had a great looking chart that resulted in a BFN. I think it was pbn who mentioned that a triphasic chart *may be correlated with a BFP. It's when there is a 2nd rise in temps. In looking at my BFP chart, I had a dip & then a little rise higher to previous temps, but not a huge rise. The 2WW lasts forrrevvvverrr! Any more crafty projects planned?? Haha.

ABC.2606
July 17th, 2017, 02:02 PM
ttc - With my second son, I noticed the tiniest bit of pinkish blood - likely implantation bleeding - maybe 3 or 4 days before I got a BFP. When I saw it (seriously - it was a tiny amount, I could have missed it), I just got a strong gut feeling that I was pregnant. I even told my DH that I was pretty sure I was pregnant.

TtcBlue18
July 17th, 2017, 02:43 PM
Lola: Thank you, that's helpful :) I do have another project planned, but first I'll have to find and purchase a couple things that might be hard to come by. I wish I could work on it now though.

ABC: I know about the spotting but no longer trust it. I've only had pink spotting twice in my life. Once was a week before I found out I was expecting dd1, and the second time was last cycle, at 9dpo. I thought for sure it was implantation bleeding and I had so many other things that led me to believe I was pregnant. But af arrived right on time. :(

ttc - oh bummer! Yea I've had pre-AF pink spotting a couple of times in my life and I know it's pretty common for some people so not always a BFP sign... the time I had it with my son though I just *knew* it meant pregnancy.

But only a couple more days before you can start testing, yea?! Exciting!!

Pbn3
July 17th, 2017, 04:36 PM
Max I'm sorry it was a bfn but I also think there's a strong possibility you're only 8dpo. Maybe give it a couple days and test again. By then you should be 10dpo at the latest.

Ttcblue there's few different patterns that can be seen in a chart that can often correlate with a bfp (but not always). But in saying that I've seen (and had) the most ordinary looking charts result in a bfp so just because you don't see a pattern, doesn't mean squat and you could very well get a bfp in any case.

In max's case her last three temps from what I believe are 6-8dpo are level. That's unusual but given the two open circles there would have been even a small difference. I've seen some bfp chart temps reach a level then 'flatten' out, so it maintains around a particular temp range with little fluctuation. Another type of pattern os a triphasic chart as Lola mentioned. These show a distinctive three level of temps pattern. So you're pre o temps are first phase, post o temps are second phase, then post implantation? I suppose you'd call it are third phase. The implantation dip you already know about but honestly I've seen way more bfp charts that don't have them than do.

Again it's very important not to assume anything about your chart because as said previously even the most ordinary charts can result in a bfp!

ABC, I don't think it was pre-af spotting because it happened at 6dpo (sorry, i was mistaken when i said 9) and af did not begin until 12dpo. But I did look up "pink spotting between periods" and light bleeding from the cervix popped up on Google. I tend to believe that is what it was because in February my mirena punctured my cervix and I had trouble with the bleeding after removal. So not saying is not a sign for others, because I know it clearly is. Just saying I don't trust it for myself..

Pbn: Thanks for the reassurance, I think I'm just grasping for threads trying to keep my hopes up. I wish they made "conception tests" that could somehow give us a positive after the egg is fertilized lol.

Pbn3
July 17th, 2017, 05:35 PM
Omg ttcblue I've said the same thing a dozen times about conception tests 😂😂 wish I was a genius scientist that could invent one! Could you imagine how popular they would be!!?? But then again something like 1 in 3? fertilised eggs fail to implant properly, so could be a double edged sword 😕 I'd have still used it though 😂

DD2 was terrible last night coughing waking up in crying panic every few minutes so she ended up in our bed – but she is a wriggly worm so not much sleep for her parents..I think I will take her to the doc tomorrow for a check up to see if he can give her something for her cough, as it sounds like it’s lower on her chest, and seemed painful last night.

Oh and XX thanks for that – I have had progesterone pessaries in the 1st trimester for both my girls too, so used to them (so much so that the pharmacist, whom I last saw 2.5 years ago recognised me yesterday lol) – I did get sensitive down there towards the end as it’s just prodding in a sensitive zone – no UTI fortunately but am extra careful to ensure I don’t have other risk factors as I know how prone to infections etc using the pessaries daily makes the area.

LMSM I agree with Pbn3 .....Home pregnancy tests look for the presence of hCG in a woman’s urine to trigger a positive result, but it is not an accurate way to assess a pregnancy’s progress; only your doctor can provide that information.
There are various factors which can affect line progression including: how much liquids a woman has had, the concentration of her urine, the time of day, etc., so using this method to gain insight into a pregnancy’s development is not wise. Prayers and BIG (((HUGS)))) Please don't stress and try and relax :)

Gosh poor bubba, coughs are just awful when they sound painful coming from children 🙁 hope it eased up soon and/or the doc can help. Don't think there's anything in the way of medication that can prescribe 🤔 I used a Little Coughs brand I think it was from the chemist. It's all natural so they can have it multiple times a day and it really seemed to help (I was super surprised!!) when ds2 had a persistent barking cough especially at night. Sounded terrible and would go on and on. So glad he is over it now!

Thanks PBN, will check the brand you mentioned – you’re right there usually isn’t much to do – I rub Euky bear balm on her feet, chest and back before bed and try to keep her elevated but as she moves she ends up in weird positions, often flat so more conducive to coughing.. we will try the vaporiser again tonight, just in case –you can tell the congestion is sitting on her chest and she is trying the shift the mucus.
I just worry it may have gotten infected and require antibiotics so will attempt a doc’s visit tomorrow for her so she can get treatment if required before we leave on Thursday – it makes me feel so bad for her, I wish I could take the illness for myself!

The only explanation I got was I ovulated later than expected, and he implanted late. I was pretty depressed because 2 mo prior to conceiving him, I had my first miscarriage. I miscarried at 10 weeks and didn't have my first cycle after the initial bleeding stopped for 6 weeks!

Max-and they're assuming she would want a boy! Looked up her instagram & one of the comments was "you are brave to have 3, I couldn't do it." I mean just a simple congrats would do lol. This may be b/c I realllly want a girl....but 3 girls sounds pretty awesome haha.
LMSM-don't worry about those lines, they look lovely & looks like variations in test dye or maybe urine wasn't as concentrated as others have said. Hope you get some numbers soon & hope your dd is feeling much better as well!!
Lola, if it hadn’t been for that spotting session yesterday lunch, I would definitely not put as much weight into the lines’ strength but the combo of the two doesn’t give much comfort or confidence.
I know you are trying to be positive for me, and really truly appreciate it beyond words – I need it because I am struggling being positive myself! :hugs:

Lmsm- fx for good blood work numbers. Definitely don't trust the darkness of the line. My last pregnancy I would get dark lines in the evenings and light lines in the am. You could also be at a point where there's so much hcg that the test can't properly pick it up. I believe if you look it up its called the hook effect. If you dilute your urine it might make the test line darker in that case . FX all is well and I hope your daughter starts to feel better soon!

Mommy – thanks so much for you rpositivity too hon! :)

Thanks ABC – never heard of the hook effect before!
I’m only just 4 weeks today based on conception date., so probably is unlikely this hook effect would be the cause- I mean at 8-9 weeks when hcg starts levelling out maybe, but surely not so early?

Pbn3
July 17th, 2017, 10:52 PM

Sorry to be a "symptom spotter" (I told myself I wouldn't do this) but I was just laying in bed with my daughter and I felt these quick but sharp pains that felt like they were in my left hip bone, and also a little in my left side. I've never noticed pains like this before and I was just wondering if anyone has ever heard of that being related to implantation? I describe them as "twinges" but not sure if anyone else really understands that lol. Either way, I'm getting excited!

LMSM: My daughters and I prayed for you & your baby bean before bed again tonight. Thinking of you.

Anyways, enough negativity – work to do so I can leave early enough to make my GP appointment – thank goodness DH has promised to pick up the girls so I don’t have to bring them along to my appointment though!

Maxim have you decided if you'll test tomorrow or wait until af due? Your temp again is keeping that flattened out look which has me sitting literally in the edge of my seat so to speak. I get the feeling you really don't think you oed cd17 so I wont say anything other than I still have everything crossed for you.

ABC I feel now like leaning towards cd13 as o day after these last temps but o day
is open between it and cd11..... was there anything that stood out over those few days following pos opk in terms of cm or o pains? And just to clarify you had the one pos opk afternoon of cd10 and cd11 & 12 were negatives?

I just had a thought Max! It may take you longer than most to release the egg after you get your surge. This was more obvious before you started taking meds, but I'm wondering if it is still happening. If this cycle is a bust, I want you to continue to BD either E4D or E3D after your temp rise OR until CD22-24. Looking at your chart, you may not have released the egg until CD18 or CD19. I know you marked creamy CM on CD19 but this small change may be what needs to happen.

My sisters and I were all so lucky to conceive basically first try on all our children. I know that's rare, but could have never expected this. It's so very disheartening. Max- you just have to figure out if it's something you truly want and feel called to. That's where I was. When I thought I was done, I felt guilty. I felt like I was letting someone down. Even though she/he wasn't here with me, I very much felt their presence. That's what kept me going. For reasons we don't quite understand, it takes sometime for some children to come to us. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I "feel" like certain souls need certain conditions in order for them to come. Strange I know, but this is the only reason I could fathom after 8mo with my DS3 and 12mo with my DD.

Hang in there! Cry to us, vent to us, and get mad with us! We will be here for you!!

To answer your other question about for attempt on CD18, it could have been a viable attempt. If you look at you chart, there wasn't a clear temp shift to indicate ovulation occurred until CD19. I thought your last attempt was on CD16, according to your chart.

I too had delayed ovulation and found through monitoring that despite clear temp shifts on my chart, ovulation was occurring 2-3 days AFTER that. This is why if this cycle is a bust, we should have you continue BDing until a few days after your temp shift. Remember, charting charts your hormones. Hormones can fluctuate much greater than bodily functions. Our hormones can sometimes prepare for a function to occur, but the body carries out the function at a later time.

Hope this makes sense!

XX, that's one of the most beautiful ways to put it! And it makes me actually think through this quite differently. Thank you for the perspective!!

I thought about a later O date, but then I remembered that I had to go in for the u/s that Monday morning (CD18) to measure my lining and she confirmed that I had o'd from both sides by that day. So I either O'd CD15, 16, or 17. Either way, shouldn't that turn a test positive by this point, right?

Thank for shan and mommy for sharing your stories! It's so helpful to hear about other people's experiences. I haven't told anyone other than my sisters, mom and my best friend who went though IVF that we are ttc, so this journey can be so alienating at times. So thankful for you group of ladies!!

I forgot about that! Hmmm. It can take a bit for implantation to occur- 6-12 days past ovulation. Plus it takes 2-3 days after implantation for it to show on a HPT. You are very much in this still! Remember, you always have a chance as long as AF isn't here yet!

Pbn3
July 18th, 2017, 04:27 PM
Max I believe you're 9dpo so with that AM attempt being a j&d (I'd forgotten about that 😦) you're pretty much relying on swimmers from the 3-o attempt to conceive from. Which can happen of course so see how your tests look over the next couple days. 9dpo is really early. Agree with xxforhubby about continuing bding. I've said before I believe you are oing 2-3 days after pos opk (might have been when we were pming during your break from the thread) so as simple as it sounds, lack of good timing could be the real issue why you aren't conceiving. If you're at the point that you just want to conceive then I think SMEP would work really well for you considering there could be several days that o is happening once you get a pos opk. SMEP is eod from cd8 (you could just do e3d instead) then three days in a row at pos opk. Skip a day then bd again. It's entirely up to you though as it means multiple attempts but it's something to consider to boost your odds of conceiving. SMEP has a pretty good success rate. Remember though, you aren't out this cycle! Your chart is looking really good!

I read that a normal luteal phase is 12-16 days, and all mine this year have been 10-12 days, this month ff is saying 11 days. If ff is wrong about a 27 day cycle this month, and my cycle is still 25 days, that means my luteal phase is actually only 9 days. Is that something to be concerned about? A alot of things I'm reading are saying that even if conception occurs, your lining sheds before the egg gets a chance to implant...

It's really hard ttcblue and I can only say if I see an obvious pattern that could *possibly* be a good sign and even then it gaurantees nothing 😭 I keep saying all kind of good and bad looking charts have the chance of resulting in a bfp, just that some patterns can be more exciting as they have some correlation with bfp charts if that makes sense. I can happily point out if I see such a pattern in 2-3 days time but I don't want you to think if I see one then a bfp is gaurenteed or if I don't then a bfn is coming because its 100% not that cut and dried (wish it was lol)

I know I understand. I also meant bad signs too. Like if there's something other than a sudden drop that may indicate af is around the corner. I don't know, I'm trying really hard to keep myself busy but then I notice something "different" and get so excited thinking it's a good sign. Then I look it up and it means nothing. It's just frustrating.

Pbn3
July 18th, 2017, 05:36 PM
Pretty much a steady decline over a few days or sudden drop close to coverline can be a good sign af is coming but other than that I don't really know of any 'bad' signs 🤔 Also don't be waiting for an implantation dip (I think you mentioned that in an earlier post) as with all the bfp charts I've seen over the past couple years there was definately less with a 'dip' than ones with :)

Ttc the suspense of the tww [emoji28] ive had short LP before but some cycles it's ok. It's always hard too as we never really know the exact moment an egg is released. So close to testing 🤞🤞🤞

Mtolbert ahh kids. Could be many many places. Maybe in shoes, cupboards. Thats where mine tend to stash things.

Thinking of you Max! Definitely not out yet. This ttc business is hard. Its a big player on the emotions with build up to ovulating and craziness of the tww and symptom spotting. 🤞🤞

After a big change in CM and some O pains last night, Finally some progress. The first pic is a comparative between last nights and this mornings just 12 hours apart. We are due to bd today as per e4d schedule. If this afternoons is much the same we will bd today and at positive opk. If its much much darker ill hold off til its positive. I know it could put me in the 2 attempt category so im giving it some thought.

Either way and whatever will be, im excited in having our last baby. It feels really good to feel good about it being our last and accepting what is. I don't drink wine but i think ill get a few bottles to celebrate and help in what little sway i have [emoji16] and my working week has finished until Saturday!

Shann, today is not even the same, it's more gooey/snotty and there's not quite as much. I have no idea what to consider this but just following your suggestion so thank you :)

Netti, the 2ww is terrible. At times it makes me want to give up ttc, which I know makes no sense. Thank you for the reassurance. I'm going back and forth between testing at 10, 11 or 12 dpo. I'm not entirely sure what I want to do yet.

Mommy, can't wait for your positive to come! Please let me know when you get your package, I had dh mail it for me yesterday :)

Ttc I second what shann said too! And why not skip the dollar store tests as they aren't the most sensitive tests and may get you down. I say go the middle road and test at 11dpo with something more sensitive. Speaking of which, remind me again what hpts you're using? Sorry, I'm sure I've asked you this before, just hard to remember 😉 mommy2apples I'm feeling good thanks! Well tired almost all the time, yuk at the oddest times but good in any case 😀 my boys are good for the most part. Ds1 has attitude problems which is quite stressful at times but we are working on it (not really getting anywhere it feels like 😂) but it's wonderful to talk to him about baby ❤ I think he's going to make a wonderful big brother to at least one sibling 😂😂

Morning ladies,
Went in for my bloods this am..the collector was lovely and said she would mark it as urgent so I can ask my GP for the result this arvo when I see her (taking DD2 because of her cough).... my frer is back to the same darkness as Monday...what worries me now is ectopic, given numbers can fluctuate with that..so am not hopeful. In 48h, I should have had a blazing frer by now (and IC too) but they are essentially back to 13dpo Colors.
I keep hoping it is all ok, but can't allow myself to "be pregnant " at this stage after the initial projection etc.
SOrry to be a downer...hope to see lots of happy healthy BFPs in coming days!

My parents just arrived' sô will touch base tonight before bed! ;)

Ttc and max- I can't to see what those tests have in store for You! I am so hopeful for bfps for everyone!

Netti - fx those lines get darker soon! I can see its trying to get there. I know everyone is different but for me by the third day of my lines gradually getting darker I had a positive opk! Good luck have for and happy baby dancing!

I hope I got the names to the right people!

Afm: I will be testing first thing in the AM. I will be 8dpo but I've gotten super faints before at this dpo so I will kmfx that I might see someone something!

Anyone testing tomorrow?

Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk
Hey Pbn... ummm I guess I had a lot of CM early in the week last week - more so than later in the week - but I'll be honest I'm not real proficient at monitoring/ interpreting that :) One thing I remember is on Wednesday of last week (cd12 I guess?) I had this fairly big zit pop up on my chin randomly. Since starting my sway diet 4 months ago my skin has cleared up sooooo much and I've had almost no acne except for a little during AF (I used to have a lot more pre-sway diet). So I thought that was odd, and when I Googled it, I found chin acne can be an O sign.

Other than that I had what I thought might be o pains off and on throughout last week but I've been dealing with some IBS issues too the past few weeks so could have been that too. I'm really not very in touch with the signs my body gives off when it comes to ovulation :)

This week I've also had a lot of twinges/pains on both sides around my ovaries and I've been more tired! So I've convinced myself I'm pregnant :) I think that largely comes from the fact though that I got pregnant on the first month with both of my boys so I'm now like trained to think it's just supposed to happen immediately! I know of course that's not how it works :) And I don't feel great about the timing of our one attempt since we just don't really know when I O'd (and if it was cd 11 we may have missed it!). With both my boys we had multiple, well timed attempts!
