Welcome Dreaming and BacktoSchool!!
Sorry Mummy and mwilson. FX for next cycle for both of you!
TP I hope you can see your doctor again soon and that they can figure out what is going on - SO strange and I'm sure it's so frustrating for you to go through!!!

Tested again this morning at 12dpo and they are still as white as white can be. And my temp is starting to come down now, heart rate is coming down, and I think I had a tiny bit of spotting last night which I'm thinking is my first early sign of AF. Feels like I'm out to be honest! But still keeping fingers crossed for all you other ladies in this thread!

Hugs, plastic. I hope December is your month.
14 dpo here and also stark as can be bfn. Back is starting to ache and cramp, so I suspect I'm out, too. Crazy how convinced I was that my symptoms were a bfp -- I wish the 2ww didn't actually last two weeks!
Best of luck to everyone still hanging in ther!

BacktoSchool that was me last cycle! It was so bad. I had round ligament pain, tingly boobs, lower back pain, and cramping off and on. It was so convinced I just had to be pregnant- nope! Haha. I feel nothing at all this cycle though, so who knows?

Yes! My oldest was an oops, so I obviously wasn’t symptom spotting and only tested because I realized I missed my period, I didn’t feel any different. My second we were trying so I tested early, but I had zero symptoms. That luteal phase progesterone can really mess with you!

You aren't stupid!!! It's human to hope; it's impossible to stop yourself. I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Well here we go again! Was hopeful for some bfps but looks like we arnt having much luck! At least we all have each other to moan to lol
ABC and mummy, how long have we been in the tww now?? 2 years I think lol
TP It's totally unfair how your body is messing you about. When I had my mc it was missed at 6 weeks and I didn't find out until 12 I then was still testing positive for weeks after that too. Felt like my body had let me down and those bfps were heartbreaking to see every week. Hope you get some answers and everything works out for you, goodness knows you deserve it x

TP- Please update us with what the RE says. I really hope they can figure out what is going on :(
I'm on day 4 of flashing smiley on dual OPK. I've got a big zit forming on my chin and a lot of EWCM - so O is coming. Expecting I'll get +opk tomorrow - on the day I usually get it (CD13), and my ultrasound is in the morning!!

Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! I just got a +opk!!! Was not expecting it until tomorrow morning. Also feeling a little achy on my right side (and BBB - my zit is slightly to the right too!!). I'm totally thrown off now, I was not ready for the +opk! Pbn what do I do!? It's been exactly 48 hours since our Saturday BD - I need more time between the two attempts but also don't want to miss O! Should we wait until tomorrow morning? Or go ahead tonight? If we BD in the morning will it affect my 11 am ultrasound (in terms of having semen in the vagina - since it's transvaginal)?!!

Abc I'll come back in couple hours when I get home but just quickly didn't you have a flashing smiley this morning? Is it afternoon for you because if so you normally wouldn't have got a smiley until fmu tomorrow morning. With your history of a long surge I would hold off bding tonight for sure and awaut results from u/s tomorrow. Will come back as soon as I can xxoo

Pbn - Yea I had a flashing smiley this morning on the dual opk but took a regular clear blue at 2:45 pm and it was positive. The cycles that I've done both the dual & regular OPKs, I have gotten a solid smiley in the morning followed by a positive regular Clear Blue that afternoon. Since I had a flashing this morning I assumed the afternoon one would be negative - but not this time!!! Grrrrr I was so sure first positive wasn't going to be until tomorrow morning and then plan was we'd BD again tomorrow night - approx 80+ hours after the first attempt. Why is my plan always thrown off?!!!!
And of course I fear if I wait too long, this will be the cycle where I ovulate much sooner after surge :( I don't think we'll BD tonight though.

Dreaming, no it doesn't. The myth is that if you ovulate from the left you'll have a girl and a boy from the right. It's been proven wrong time and time again. Treat it like the Chinese gender predictor, a bit of fun only and completely inaccurate [emoji16]

Abc I think of it like this. If you had a flashing smiley this morning but a pos on your afternoon regular digi then that indicates to me you're right at the very start of your surge. You'd have to be super unlucky to o by tomorrow afternoon especially with your history of what seems to be delayed o after pos opk. Ultimately it's up to you whether you bd in fear of missing your window BUT if you do and your u/s results indicate o is still a day or two away you will definately end up with more than one attempt trying to nail the timing to maximise conception odds. If you wait until tomorrow and haven't bded then you can time yor attempt for best conception odds but still only have the one. Getting an u/s is a godsend!!! It will help so much with any future cycles too (not that there will be any [emoji6]) Hang in there!!! What time is your u/s at? Or better yet tell me how many more hours so I can work it out in my timezone :)

Pbn - that makes sense. I'm at the gym right now trying to get rid of my ttc stress :-) When I get home I'm going to try another CB regular opk (at 7:30/8 pm). I'm hoping it & my tomorrow morning opk's are still positive. I seem to have a pretty short surge though so I guess that's also what makes me nervous. But, you're right that my history shows that short surge or not, I still have a delayed O after surge. Hope that applies this time!
I had DH release late afternoon today so def no BD tonight. I'm going to try to hold out and see what the u/s shows and then go from there. It's at 11 am - 16 hours from now!!
When I had an u/s 2 cycles ago when I was doing the fertility tests, I had it on the day I got an afternoon +opk. On that day my follicle was only 19 mm - so still a bit early for O. Maybe I'm just someone who surges well in advance of O?

Ok so that will be 6am'ish tomorrow morning for me [emoji3] yay I'll be awake and ready to hear all about your scan!!! Cant wait! And your plan sounds great! Hopefully the clomid shortens the distance between surge and o this time but not too much [emoji6] I cant wait to hear that you've been told to bd the night of scan as you'll o sometime the next day to day and a half!! That's my hope and my prediction [emoji109] and I'm rolling all those thoughts and positive thinking into a ball and sending it your way now [emoji173]

Yes! I remember telling my husband that it felt like someone was using their nails and scratching my cervix. I know most love first response, but I always get evap lines with them, and one actually gave me a bfn when a dollar test gave me a BFP! So I’m just going to stick with the dollar tests this time and maybe splurge on a digital to confirm if I am pregnant.

Went through our 3rd miscarriage after receiving a surprising BFP. Of all of the information that I read, the first cycle after a miscarriage was pretty awesome odds for conceiving a girl. So we thought, " let's just go for it." I'm due for AF today and had a faint positive on hcg this morning (2nd morning pee) So excited! Praying this one sticks and is our girl. [emoji7]
So now here is a question. Would you tell your SO or keep it a secret until a very fun Christmas present? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji847]

There is a bit to the left/right ovary thing according to atomic... She has talked about 1 study that was done where they followed women's ovulation patterns (which ovary they ovulated from) over a 3 cycle period, with conception on the third cycle. There was 1 particular 3 cycle pattern - L, L, R - where 75% of those women had boys. The other patterns they saw all had a closer to 50/50 boy/girl ratio. The right ovary is the dominant ovary in most women and atomic thinks that b/c your body may be more likely to ovulate from the right when the body is more "fertile"/ in better condition, if you're ovulating from the left and then suddenly switch to the right it might be a result of "improved" fertility. But obviously there are girls and boys conceived from both ovaries and many women ovulate mostly from the right and more pregnancies come from right sided ovulation. Because I fall into the trap of thinking about all the theories/OWT I'd like to conceive on a left ovary ovulation, but I think I mainly only ovulate from the right, so there you go. From what I've read, a lot of women will go for months or years ovulating from the same ovary rather than alternating back and forth, so definitely nothing you can control!
Anyways I'll find out what ovary I'm ovulating from this cycle in a few hours! The zit I had was sort of in the center of my chin, slightly to the right, but appears to be almost gone already! So strange - I'm sure it's a hormonal zit though.

I conceived last DD from right ovary. I just checked back thru my records and since the miscarrage I've been ovulating from the left side. If this cycle I am ovulating from the right (which I'll know tomorow after my scan) then it will mean I have a 75% chance of a boy according to this.... but that my fertility might have improved? I guess we will see!

Abc will be interesting to see when you get a temp spike. I read in a thread (unrelated to this site) about a lady being monitored on clomid and she had two follicles measuring 26mm but didn't ovulate until 4 days later. They would have been even larger by then (was a non bfp cycle) I'm wondering if your body was doing something similar (hence the delay in temp rise from pos opk) and maybe a trigger shot will help release them on time? Not at all saying this is what I think is happening, I am not experienced in any way in all this, but maybe its a plausible scenario. When do you see your ob about u/s results?

Pbn yea it's possible. Two cycles ago I had an u/s on CD13, the same day I got a +opk, and I only had one dominant follicle that was 19 mm. That was a non-Clomid cycle. So to go from that to 2 follicles that are 25 mm on the same cycle day it seems the Clomid is def doing something. I hope they release late today - I'm worried they are too big already.
Ugggghh I wish I could talk to my doctor today!!!

Sort of a dull, off and on ache on the right side and just sort a feeling of "warmth" in the whole ovary areas if that makes sense. But I've also been nauseated and had an upset stomach today, which is most likely stress/nervousness-related bc I was super nervous before u/s. I have IBS so whenever I get stressy/nervous my stomach goes crazy. So I can't really tell what symptoms are IBS vs O related. I did have a pretty good amount of EWCM earlier today.

Yes 14 days :) I only have 1 previous cycle to base it on, but from what I gather your luteal phase should always be the same length. So yes, in theory, I believe if your LP is 12 days you should be able to test earlier than me with my 14 days (someone more knowledgeable might correct me). Not that it stopped me from starting testing at 9 dpo!

Girlsway I actually don’t think you would get a positive any earlier than someone with a longer LP, because it doesn’t mean you necessarily implant earlier, if that makes sense? Either way, the countdown is on! What day do you plan on testing?

I agree with Greydore - I don't think LP matters as far as testing since regardless of LP, implantation usually happens between 7-12 days (and I think it's more commonly 7-10). I think LP only comes into play b/c if your LP is shorter than 10 days, there may not be enough time for egg to implant esp if progesterone starts dropping down before arrival of AF. But I don't think having a shorter LP makes you implant earlier. I have an LP of 10/11 days normally and think the earliest I've gotten a BFP is 9/10 days.
I'm sorry Robin :( I can't imagine how difficult this day is for you. I am glad you have a scan though as a bit of a distraction at least.

With my youngest I started at 8 dpo, got bfn at 8 and 9 dpo. I skipped 10 dpo and got a BFP at 11. So I’m trying to hold out til close to my period so it’s a clear BFP (if it is one). Though I don’t have a good feeling about this cycle, again because of timing.

Sent from my SM-G900I using TapatalkYup no spike. I'm actually wondering how accurate my temps are this cycle given that the amount of sleep I've been getting each night has been all over the place - some nights only getting 5/6 hours & I keep waking up 20 min before my alarm goes off. But my temp this morning was def not in my "post O range". Opk was negative at 7 pm last night so surge is over I guess. Had lots of EWCM this morning still. Other than that I have no idea what's going on. Really hoping I O today and see temp rise tomorrow. It's Thanksgiving here tomorrow so it would be a perfect way to start the day!
My doc hasn't called yet which is very strange as he's really good about calling early. I'm going to call him in 20 min when the office reopens after lunch.

Ok, doc finally called!!! He said I had a 25 mm follicle on the right ovary and a 27.5 mm follicle (YIKES!) on the left. He said as of the time of the u/s, I had not ovulated, although he said the report showed a bit of "free fluid" from one of them so he said I might have been "on the cusp" of ovulating. I asked if those follicles were TOO big - he wasn't super clear, said they could get too big but said they looked good/healthy yesterday. He said I did have a slightly higher chance of twins b/c of the two follicles. We talked again about my fears that I have a delayed O after LH surge, etc., and he said if I don't get pregnant this month he may add a trigger shot next time to get the eggs to release. But he said that my lining looks really good and that the Clomid seems to be working well, so that's positive!!!!
He said to BD again tonight :( I don't think we will... But I'm still feeling insecure about the timing... Worried that O was already starting at the time of u/s and we missed it or worried it'll still take awhile and yesterday's attempt wont be good. I really HATE this timing stuff!!! Ugh :) Oh well... I guess we'll see what happens. With no temp rise this morning, a lot of EWCM still today, and a +OPK at 2 pm yesterday - hopefully O happened late last night or early today...

ABC I’m not sure, haha. We are out of town with family and I didn’t bring any tests, and thankfully we are busy and enjoying ourselves so I’m not too preoccupied with testing. I’m either 8 or 11 dpo, so when we get home on Saturday night I could probably test Sunday morning and possibly get a reliable result (I will be 10 or 13 dpo). I feel really different than last cycle, so maybe that’s a good thing?

We will be dtd multiple times to catch the egg.
Has anyone ever read the book "it starts with the egg". Wow what a good read! So informative.

Abc yay for spike [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] even though it was expected it's still wonderful to see lol! Also you could have easily oed early hours of morning before temping and took your bbt before your body temp increased. Hence why cm was so scant and dried up. I think you have a mist beautifully timed attempt and cannot wait for testing time to roll around [emoji173]
Robin how exciting!! Cant wait to hear how this cycle goes! Everything crossed for you and hoping like mad this will be your bfp cycle [emoji120][emoji120][emoji120]

Thanks Pbn!! I feel pretty confident now that I O'd before my morning temp yesterday as the difference in my CM yesterday was just so drastic. I really think I'm just a "slow riser" when it comes to temps. Maybe it's related to the fact that my temps run really low normally anyways.
I've also decided to give up temping after this cycle. The stress it's causing is not worth it. Next cycle I will use OPKs and the ultrasound and hopefully a trigger shot and call it good :) :)

ABC I know I’ve said this, but I’ve read every study on ovulation I can get my hands on. bbt is the LEAST reliable of all fertility markers. If it stresses you out too much, give it up. I’m going to next cycle!

Ok probably not but yea I'm not temping next cycle... It's clearly doing nothing to help me out and it's making things worse in terms of my stress!!!!

[emoji23] but it's way too early isn't it? I Was gpingnto wait until Sunday week (3rd dec)It all depends on when implantation occurred. Hcg can appear within 2 to 3 days after that on frers.
So if you implanted on 6dpo then 9dpo isn't super early.
I have gotten bfp on 9dpo before.
However like I said.. if you didbt implant then.. it could be too early

I didn’t have any symptoms with my two boys before a BFP. I was super crampy with my second son the first trimester, but it started well after a positive test. Every one and every pregnancy is so different, it’s so hard to attribute symptoms to certain genders. My friend had really easy, dream pregnancies with her boys. Her third pregnancy she felt awful, so of course was hoping it was their girl...nope, boy #3!

I sometimes feel a little achy in that area around O, but I also have IBS which I think has flared up the past two cycles around O (probably due to being nervous!) So the discomfort is likely due to that. You would think with two very large follicles this cycle that I would have felt something more, but nope!
I do have very clear EWCM though so and I monitored that more this cycle so I think I'll just use that to replace temping. :)

False positives are rare dreaming. Stick to a pink dye test and you'd be right. 10 dpo is early especially if you're not using a sensitive test like frer. 14dpo onwards for any tests would be easy long enough to wait I think.

Thank you all SO much!! I can’t stop smiling, I wasn’t this excited with either of my other pregnancies.
We were trying for two cycles. I had my IUD removed on October 2, totally missed my fertile window that month due to a really long cycle, had a period November 1 and that was it!
I just have to say, for everyone waiting to test, I felt absolutely nothing until a couple days ago. No cramping, breast tenderness, or lower back pain (whereas last cycle I had all of those). We visited family this weekend, so lots of food and wine. The whole weekend I had hot flashes off and on, I had to walk outside multiple times to cool off. I had periods of racing heartbeat even though I wasn’t doing much activity. I felt nauseous off and on, which I kind of just attributed to all of the food and drinking. I noticed I was getting up to pee more than my 30 week pregnant sister. I was also really tired. I’ve also had creamy CM since O, which I usually don’t get until right before my period. Sorry if that’s too much detail, I just know I like to hear how others felt during the TWW.
I took the test last night around 9 pm. This morning, about 12 hours later it looks about the same. Should I be worried it’s not darker?

[emoji170]10/2013 [emoji170]2/2016I know it's hard not to think that way (about being "due" for a m/c). I felt that way with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies, and my 3rd was a m/c. When I m/c the 3rd, some of the people who I told about it who have 3 kids told me they never had one. There are lots of 3+ kid moms who don't ever have one :) :) :)

It's 1 in 4 pregnancies that end in a miscarrage unfortunately. There's no use worrying about it bc you can't change the outcome.
I had my 20 week loss as my 4th pregnancy.

Sent from my SM-G900I using TapatalkPbn you sound like you're nesting!!!!! :) :) :) It's the right time for that too!!! That sweet baby is going to be here so soon now!
I think FF got it wrong on my O date - I really think it was Tuesday or Wednesday (probably Wednesday). I asked Atomic and she said based on what the doc told me about my u/s, I probably did O earlier and just had a delayed temp rise. I hope that's the case! Even so - still a looooong time until testing :( And I'm already telling myself it didn't happen so I don't get my hopes up too much!!

How are you doing? Did AF finally show?
I have been thinking of you. Are you still doing the ivf pgs route? Mine was pushed to Jan start bc of the holidays...
So my issue was AF had showed as soon as I stopped the progesterone, but I was still getting those BFPs and feeling symptoms until CD 10 or 11. I'm CD16 now, and my RE's office only got back to me on CD 14. So that was two weeks of contacting them to hear nothing. So I'm done and will likely be doing all my care out of state. And now I have to worry that there is something wrong that I was still getting such strong pregnancy stuff so late after just a chemical. I would have been almost 6 weeks by the time my tests went negative! and temps show I'm clearly ovulating now, and it's brutal to actively prevent. I just know if we try, we get pregnant, and nothing we're fixing is making a difference
DH is still very reluctant to do IVF for financial reasons and keeps saying we should try until one sticks, but that is killing me. Six has destroyed me. So this week will be our final decision after our out of state appointment. I believe we'll do one cycle, but I'm terrified there will be no boys or no normals at all

Yes! Not so much emotional for me but very snippy. I was really short with my husband this past weekend, enough that he asked if maybe I was pregnant. Eek can’t wait for you to test!!
Girlsway that is still pretty early. Will you test again in the next few days?
Pbn I’m going to buy a digital today...I’ve only taken two Walmart cheapies, so I’m hoping that there’s enough hcg for a digital now!

Just catching up on this thread and it's great to see more good news, HUGE congrats Greydore! Hope I didn't miss anyone else!
BBB and plasticserenity how are you both?
Thanks for checking in :) I'm on CD5 today so ready to start thinking about our attempts for cycle 3. Hopefully I will have another nice regular cycle and ovulate around CD14.
But I do have a question for you ladies - my lovely other half has booked an amazing romantic trip away for my birthday. It's a lovely little log cabin out in the woods with a hot tub! Now I'm okay with most things in the 2WW (I still have alcohol, coffee etc) but what are your ladies' thoughts on hot tubs in the 2WW? It seems pretty risky to me considering it's a pretty big no no in pregnancy :/ I will be around 5 - 9 dpo when we're there so right around potential implantation time. Seems such a shame to not make use of it when I'm not even pregnant, but I'm not sure I could use it with a clear conscience! What do you folks reckon?

Can an implantation dip happen as early as 4/5/6 dpo? I'm likely 5 dpo and had a dip today of about 0.3 degrees F. I read that at 4/5 dpo it's more likely just a "secondary estrogen surge", which usually happens in non-pregnancy charts :(
I also woke up this morning with my mouth open - guess I had been mouth breathing and I am a little stuffy. Could that have caused the dip?
