Pbn: did you go on a vacation? Hope you had a fastastic time away [emoji4]

Hopeful: aww DH is ruining our fun here. But guys are like that. My DH says I should just wait till I miss my period. It is not gonna work for me, so i will be testing secretly. I have tons of HPT cheapies at home so imma use them so they wont go to waste. These come with the opk cheapies we got last year, but never got to use since we changed our plan on ttc. Though I think they have expired like last month, saddd. hope they will still work just fine. I have 2 frer and 2 cb which i will only use later like 12dpo or if I miss period.

We got an attempt in yesterday making our attempts so far on CD 8, 11 and 16. We will dtd again on CD19 as I'm away then til CD22 which might cover us in case of delayed O.
CP is medium, closed and firm but was super high and soft and open yesterday. Does that sound like I may have Oed? And if so, when do you think I would have - today or yesterday? CM is non existent but (tmi) DH said there was a LOT when dtd yesterday. I'm just wondering how-to consider my DPO if you get me! Would I be 1dpo today? Hoping not to test this cycle anyway as I don't feel great about it but my POAS-itis shall probably rear it's ugly head lol!!

I've always found doing an OPK around 11am-noon to be a good indicator. But these ones seem to show progression so hopefully not too much longer! If you're testing twice a day you can't miss your surge! Best of luck, here's hoping for loads of BFPs!!

Raisinggentlemen that's getting there and it's amazing how quick an opk can turn pos! You can have pains for several days before o and after but it sounds promising that something is going on.... Hopefully your pos opk will come in the next couple days! What times are you testing? I'd suggest between 1-3pm and 6-8pm [emoji4]

Hopper that's fantastic you got another attempt in! Impossible to say exactly which day you oed but sounds like there's a good chance it has. I'd just count tomorrow as 1dpo as that way it should likely you are in fact in the 2ww.

Welcome back, Pbn. I am glad you had a nice time with your family!
There have been a lot of posts- and we are not even to mid July yet.
I had my attempt (every 72 hours) on CD 17 and another with positive OPK at CD18. Atomic advised both due to a number of special factors (such as my age and how long I have been on the diet). Fx that temps confirm ovulation soon.
With fluctuating summer temperatures, some nights with aur conditioning, and poison ivy on my legs I might have some inaccurate temps ahead.

It will be tomorrow morning for me as I am US, so will be night time for me. I will test to satisfy the POAS addiction in me lol. Dont expect any line though as it is too early still. Finally i was telling my friend that I was ready for AF to get here and be over so I'd have another shot. She told me to go home and test. Sure enough it must have been implantation. Just wanting you to know there's a chance.

Finally i was telling my friend that I was ready for AF to get here and be over so I'd have another shot. She told me to go home and test. Sure enough it must have been implantation. Just wanting you to know there's a chance.

It maybe lighter when you dont hold pong enough and urine is slightly more diluted than afternoon sample. My night tests are usually lighter than 1-4pm tests as well. Also mine went kinda light to super dark, so keep testing twice a day to make sure you dont miss the surge! Pray for you to O soon!

I was testing fmu (7am) and 2 pm...I will try 11 am and 8 pm tomorrow. I sure hope they're at least darker tomorrow! I just took another one an hr ago and it was the same maybe lighter! So who knows? Ugh!Dont use fmu with dip tests. I wouldn't test any earlier than 11am. Also unless you have worked out that the 1-3pm timeframe isn't best for you, it is pretty much the most recommended time to test so I'd include it and then test again in the evening if it looks nearly pos [emoji4]

I think 4 yrs apart would be kind of nice! Having little ones around the same age is nice sometimes but mostly hard! My oldest And youngest are 4 yrs apart and they get along amazingly! My 3yr old and 1 yr old don't get along very well at all! GL! It's still early so keep your head up!

I've recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, weaning off anti anxiety meds, just over a severe case of tonsillitis requiring a double antibiotic, diet is lax to say the very least and the thyroid has made exercise unobtainable (I'm just best and anaemic to boot!) We had put a limit on things of starting at the latest this cycle before I turn 36 at the end of July but then when it came to time to take the Clomid I was still sick etc and then DH was sick at the time of our attempt so I won't be holding out much hope that this is our cycle lol. I'll use this month to finish my antidepressants and stabilise the diet. Might skip Clomid next cycle tho.

I have my moments, I see so many varied families and all the ages work. Just in different ways. They all have their difficulties too. My boys are almost 3 years apart and they have their moments. Eldest just lights up around babies & little kids, it actually brings out the best in him, part of my continued motivation.

My opks all day were really negative, the last one I took was at 9 and it hardly had a line! We made our attempt tho! Hope if I don't O by Friday that it holds out to at least Tuesday since we r doing e7d. GL to all in the 2ww! Can't wait to join you!

We did similar last year Hopeful. We had a mc and after all my seriously on point swaying I just felt like my heart wasn't in it any more. DH really needed that time to come around to even WANTING one last baby. He took the mc as a sign we should stick with our 3 and I think he really struggled with it. But here we are, we have ourselves a cut off time of July 2018 to at least start ttc again. I hope that you and your DH will be back when you are both ready and won't be long before you see those two beautiful lines! X

Pbn. do you think that O was yesterday from this chart? Temp was 98.22 upon waking and 98.25 a minute later (I didn't move). I had a lot of trouble falling asleep and got up around 1am to go to another room on a different floor and had toast and melatonin (lots of moving). I slept more than 5 hrs before the temp. I almost never have so much trouble falling asleep. my mind just wouldn't get drowsy.

If I probably ovulated yesterday I don't have to stress attempting again tonight-
DH has been a little challenging regarding attempts. Thanks for your educated guess.

And no, I often think the same thing about FRERs coming on offer lol. We were ttc #2 while on holiday in the states. I stocked up on a LOAD of FRERs and CB digital cause they are soooooo much more expensive here! I was down to my last FRER when we got our BFP lol. I was so thankful for the BFP and the fact we didn't need to waste money on more to satisfy my POAS addiction lol!!

Frer on prime (USA) is a joke! I ordered it on 'prime', 3 sticks for $9.99, and it arrived after 4 weeks. I'm just going to stick to Walmart. It's the best price until a wholesaler picks it up! They don't realize that we need about 20-30 sticks a box priced under $20, with a high degree of accuracy:-)

I always checked on amazon and ebay to see if they have good deals. I think ebay is usually faster than amazon though. Online is slightly cheaper for me as I dont have to pay 10% sales tax since I live in California.

Hey ladies,

I think I’m out this cycle. I’m 7DPO and had temp has gone down slightly the last two days. I was convinced something was going on because I’m having awful breast tenderness and some twinging/pilling sensations. Turns out clomid can cause these types of symptoms.

With my other pregnancies I used OPK prior to an HPT and got a dark line. That led up to my BFP. Line on opk the last few days has lightened.

Trying not to be discouraged as it’s only our first cycle TTC. We got spoiled before and conceived first cycle with our first two. That was also 7 years ago!

Hey ladies,

I think I’m out this cycle. I’m 7DPO and had temp has gone down slightly the last two days. I was convinced something was going on because I’m having awful breast tenderness and some twinging/pilling sensations. Turns out clomid can cause these types of symptoms.

With my other pregnancies I used OPK prior to an HPT and got a dark line. That led up to my BFP. Line on opk the last few days has lightened.

Trying not to be discouraged as it’s only our first cycle TTC. We got spoiled before and conceived first cycle with our first two. That was also 7 years ago!

Pbn. do you think that O was yesterday from this chart? Temp was 98.22 upon waking and 98.25 a minute later (I didn't move). I had a lot of trouble falling asleep and got up around 1am to go to another room on a different floor and had toast and melatonin (lots of moving). I slept more than 5 hrs before the temp. I almost never have so much trouble falling asleep. my mind just wouldn't get drowsy.

If I probably ovulated yesterday I don't have to stress attempting again tonight-
DH has been a little challenging regarding attempts. Thanks for your educated guess.

edited to add : the higher temp CD11 was due to restless sleep, using a blanket bc of air conditioning.Gafan I think you may have oed either cd19 or 20. Impossible to say which one and one more temp should verify either way. I'd probably wait and see what tomorrow's temp is if hubby is getting annoyed... or if you think you can initiate things tonight maybe try that? He'll either go along with it or not and if not then leave it be as you want him on board [emoji4]

Last fee cycles Ive ovulated quite early, maybe because of the Vitex Im taking..

Yesterday I had a static smiley on Clearblue purple and this positive cheapie... BUT a negative on the pink clearblue.

So that got me confused... but Im trusting the other two positives.
I had my attempt a night before that.. CD10... fingers crossed!

It sounds pretty likely I ovulated (based on your guess and mine from my chart) so it shouldn't make a difference in conception chances if the next attempt is tonight (72h) or tomorrow (96h). I will go with it and see. I think DH gets spooked with too many attempts.

Raining you're still well above coverline and it's common to have a dip in temp between 6-10dpo caused by a secondary estrogen surge. Looks like you oed day of pos opk which isn't fantastic odds for conception [emoji17] Were you testing just once a day (fmu) with the digis and dip tests? I'd recommend testing again with the digi on the evening if your dip test looks almost pos at your afternoon dip test. The other possibility is you oed 2 days after pos which would give you a great chance! I have to go and check your chart again and I'll add to this post..

Added: ok yep while it looks like ff is right I can see you had some ewcm still day after pos opk so cd17 *could* also be a possibility. Could it have possibly been leftovers and not ewcm? Did you have any other symptoms between cd15-cd17? Also how long is your lp usually?

Tapatalk did not notify me of the new posts! Dang, I have lots to catch up on. While DH was out buying lunch, i sneaked in a test quickly, I used a frer as well, but this is a curve one, and already expired [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] i had all these tests ready when i was gonna ttc last year, plans changed and tests are expired now. Saddd. But i hope it still works properly. I have NEW frer and cb digital but thats for tomorrow hahaha.

The line is much clearer on the frer. I took a few pics with different lightings to help seeing better.

And today it is so hard not to tell DH. I have a plan already but I am so impatient. I dont think I can hold it any longer. Thank you everyone. I feel so blessed and thankful to get a BFP. I think imma cry once I tell DH. You guys make me feel super special and I am also thankful to have your supports through this journey. It gets hard sometimes.

June was my first month at TTC and I swayed pink, very nicely for 2-3 months before June. I had a weird cycle and a BFP followed by a flu. So I used that (and largely self pity) as an excuse to cheat the past 3 weeks! I'm still eating lower calories, but stopped exercising and started snacking and eating cereal for breakfast etc. I need motivation to go back to the diet and exercise!
For all the long time swayers, how do you do it? It's so hard to get back on the wagon and incredibly easy to fall off! :(

I made a little note (damn my printer ran out of ink at the wrong time) and put between his ipad, then I told him i need to use it so he opened it and saw the note. He was surprised and happy that we got so lucky first try. But i was hoping for more of a jumping crying emotional reaction. I tested twice a day. Earlier in the afternoon it was almost positive and then after dinner it was a blazing positive! We decided to have our attempt then.

I’m pretty sure it was ewcm but not 100%. I was DRY the entire cycle and then the night of our attempt there was some. It’s so hard because the clomid gave me all sorts of weird symptoms that aren’t the norm for me. My breast are never sore before my period even though that’s common. I’m chalking it up to clomid.

My LP is usually around 12 days, but was as short as 9 a few months ago after losing some weight.

Try to Look forward to your exercise, I loved getting outside and seeing the sunrise was a real delight when I was finding things difficult or a change of locations, but food wise just try to hop back on the right path. you know you're doing lots of things to sway pink so the slip ups arent all that bad. While DH was out buying lunch, i sneaked in a test quickly, I used a frer as well, but this is a curve one, and already expired [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] i had all these tests ready when i was gonna ttc last year, plans changed and tests are expired now. Saddd. But i hope it still works properly. I have NEW frer and cb digital but thats for tomorrow hahaha.

The line is much clearer on the frer. I took a few pics with different lightings to help seeing better.

Pbn: hahahaha that is so true. All my husband was thinking is how it doesnt make sense that I am 3 weeks and a few days pregnant in the world of medicine. We are very excited, but not sure when to tell immediate family. Did you guys tell family as soon as finding out or later at what weeks? And since everyone thinks it is darker for bfp so early, I hope it is not twins. The thoughts freak me out slightly. My family doesnt have history of having twin though.

Emshe: thank you for your sweet words. And that tells you how impatient I am. Just wanted to share the news with hubby quickly, so i did a cb digital. Hubby thinks the line on frer is so faint that it means I am not pregnant. He said it should be just as dark as control line. So digital does help confim it for him.

You can do it, HDP! It takes some easing into and finding what works best for you! This diet can be modified so many ways! Just start slow and cut things out as your own pace. it took a two good months to figure it out.

Shinay don't freak out about twins! Before I knew less than a thousandth of what I do now I got a bfp similar to yours at 8dpo with ds2. Like an undoubtable line and he is and always was a singleton [emoji4] Of course there is always a chance of twins but a hpt wont tell you that at all, not even bw, only ypur first u/s can tell.

Oh and I stopped telling my family after 2nd mc and lucky because I had yet another loss before my sticky bean.. but then again by that stage I wanted my family to know.. in some twisted way the fact they knew I lost my pregnancies gave a voice to them and made them matter?? Acknowledged they were wanted and loved. It's hard to explain but I wanted my losses to be known in the end to my family and friends as I didn’t want them to be hushed under the table so to speak [emoji853] By giving them a voice they became a part of my family history and not just a bad personal memory... gah I'm terrible at explaining this [emoji17] I told my mum and one of my sister's about loss no3. Not sure if any of my other family knew or not. I wanted to scream in everyones face what I was going through but as expected bottled it up and dealt with it on my own and with help from ladies on this website [emoji173]

Last week, I completely came off the diet because I felt so discouraged but I felt so gassy and bloated that it made it easier for me to jump back on the diet. I'm doing LE PCOS so I just increased fats and protein a bit and i've been feeling fuller and better than ever about diet. As for the exercise...SIGHHHH. i'm also struggling so much..the one hr cardio everyday is rough for me especially since i kept losing weight... so i stopped in May! i'm trying to convince myself that even if i do 30 mins every other day it won't mess with my sway and will be better than nothing. I guess i'm still debating whether i'm still swaying or just trying to get pregnant at this point.
I pray it gets easier for you to get back into things! I'm definitely routing for you!!!

My doctor said that nearly all of her patients that try get pregnant within 3 months of a d&c, get pregnant. So I'm feeling like the odd ball- again. My cycles are a little unpredictable and seem to be getting shorter again. My LP was only 10 days and I've read that 10 days or less could be a progesterone issue. Am I unreasonable to even be worried at this point? My every thought, spare moment, food choice, etc for the past 7 months has been trying to have another baby.

i definitely think that you should make an appt to see your doc since your goal is to maximize your chances. I'd also advise you to talk to atomic...she really has a wealth of knowledge with all of these things and could help you tweak your diet/plan.

If I were you, and it was consuming me, I would be seeing my doctor now to put my mind to ease.. But a word of caution - you have to be honest with your doctor about your swaying plan. Swaying pink does somewhat lower fertility and make it longer to get pregnant. And your doctor may just well ask you to shelf all that and BD every other day through O to improve your odds. I doubt a doctor will have the time and patience to believe that swaying can work! And their measure of success is you having a baby, not a girl baby.
So that's just my two cents!
You did get pregnant in the past, so you know you can. Maybe it's just taking longer.

Why don't you go easy on the diet, include high nutrients back in, eat some eggs and BD more frequently? You know just maximize your chances of pregnancy overall! I don't know how hard you are swaying. Maybe you just need to ease up. GL!

It's funny how you want people to know and understand, but you also don't want the pity/sympathy/(maybe)judgment?
I told my parents after I had my first mc, I told my mom during the second, and when I got pg with DS I told everyone (family) right away because I wanted them to know how loved this baby was even if we were going to lose him (which thankfully we didn't!). For my 3rd mc after I had DS I told my mom but this time she told people that I did not want knowing about the preg OR the mc so that really hurt me as it was intended to be confidential.

At any rate, mc stays with you, and it stays with you, and it stays with you. You want other people to have empathy toward the absolute anguish that you're in, but a lot of the time it just seems like they don't understand or can't relate to what you're going through - unless they've been there. At some level, I know those pregnancies would have never progressed and resulted in a baby, but they still mean something to me, and I think they always will.

I'm now pg again (4w6d) and we are not telling a soul until 8 weeks (for family) and 12 weeks for everyone else. But who knows - I am terrible at keeping secrets so it could slip sooner lol

I really am not sure! Today temp stayed the same as yesterday. 8DPO now, maybe 6? Also TMI but cm was creamy/yellow a few days ago and now the last two days nada. I’m having cramping this morning. Dont apologize. I cant imagine the pain and how heartbroken you and some other ladies have gone through. They are a part of you and they will always be there in your heart. I wish no women shall have to go through that, but it happens more often than I would think. I kinda want to tell family, but I am afraid, like you said, if something happens, I dont want our family to be so sad and disappointed. It will be first grandchild for both my and DH family.
12 weeks is a long time and I do want to tell our family slightly earlier than that. I will try to call doctor and see when I can come in. It most likely wont be till 8 weeks. DH thinks we should tell around 5-6 weeks.

As for symptoms, I am the same, have been sooo hungry throughout the day recently. And if I dont munch on sth, my hands will start shaking. I have also been feeling dizzy and light nausea. Hgmama I'd just make the appt and see what happens. I wouldn't mention swaying at all, but I would say you've been tracking your cycles and using opks to optimise your chances to no avail. Are you hoping for clomid or femara? If you're ready to just get pregnant you could try smep this cycle before seeing someone?

June was my first month at TTC and I swayed pink, very nicely for 2-3 months before June. I had a weird cycle and a BFP followed by a flu. So I used that (and largely self pity) as an excuse to cheat the past 3 weeks! I'm still eating lower calories, but stopped exercising and started snacking and eating cereal for breakfast etc. I need motivation to go back to the diet and exercise!
For all the long time swayers, how do you do it? It's so hard to get back on the wagon and incredibly easy to fall off! :(

No, you do NOT need to tell your doctor about swaying and in fact you shouldn't. They will simply seize upon that as a reason you have not conceived and do NO investigation even though swaying should not be preventing most of you from conception (we have average 3 months to conception) as long as you don't cut back too far and you drop sway tactics over time. There could very easily be something that is wrong that a doctor can fix with a pill but they won't do that if they assume that you're doing something that may harm your chances of conceiving.

HG, I have tried and true methods for boosting odds of conception that have helped all but a handful of people conceive since 2010. I am more than happy to help anyone up their chances of conception but please go off what I say and not others, even though they mean well they just don't have the same level of experience I do. We are hitting a moving target between swaying pink and conceiving and it takes minor adjustments sometimes to make that happen. No one wants to toss out a sway boosting odds of conception when there are ways to BOTH keep swaying AND boost odds of conception.

It is not enough just to eat more nutrients. Remember, there are blue swayers and people who are not even swaying and eating tons of nutrients and still don't get pregnant. Sometimes people think "oh I need chicken and prenatals" when neither of those things even ups your chances of conceiving. What we may need is calories overall and fat, and then to ditch any extraneous sway tactics and adding attempts properly, not just willy nilly. Just eating more nutrients and having more attempts is not enough (because many times the way people add attempts doesn't even boost their chances of conceiving anyway.)

Ladies, it's literally impossible for me to keep up on these threads. I WANT to help anyone who is struggling but I cannot always read every question in these threads. Sometimes you're not going to get the same advice that I would give in them. So if you need help, please start a dedicated thread just for yourself where I can help you one on one and not in a long thread where lots of people are asking lots of questions and everyone's situation gets all confused as to who I'm answering and what questions I'm replying to.

My doctor didnt say anything about 3 months average to conceive after a d&c. she said that if I hadn't conceived within 6 months to call her, not to wait a year because I'm 39. I just called to set something up because it's been 5 months. I agree with pbn about not mentioning the sway yet. And I strongly suggest you talk to Atomic, she's doing some things with my diet and attempts to increase the odds of pregnancy while maintaining a girl sway.

I tested twice a day. Earlier in the afternoon it was almost positive and then after dinner it was a blazing positive! We decided to have our attempt then.

I’m pretty sure it was ewcm but not 100%. I was DRY the entire cycle and then the night of our attempt there was some. It’s so hard because the clomid gave me all sorts of weird symptoms that aren’t the norm for me. My breast are never sore before my period even though that’s common. I’m chalking it up to clomid.

My LP is usually around 12 days, but was as short as 9 a few months ago after losing some weight.

I really appreciate your input!!

The same with me....since the LE diet my LP was very short, 8-10 days :(

It will cost thousands of dollars out of pocket for a third "year" in a row if I don't have a baby by June 30, 2019. I'm getting depressed. My doctor said that nearly all of her patients that try get pregnant within 3 months of a d&c, get pregnant. So I'm feeling like the odd ball- again. My cycles are a little unpredictable and seem to be getting shorter again. My LP was only 10 days and I've read that 10 days or less could be a progesterone issue. Am I unreasonable to even be worried at this point? My every thought, spare moment, food choice, etc for the past 7 months has been trying to have another baby.

Are you thinking with seeing your doc you may want to get Clomid/Femara? I can tell you my experience & how I ended up on Clomid. I had an early m/c last August after conceiving on our 2nd month TTC. I met with my doctor after that and told him we'd been trying "for a few months" (technically true since we started in July!), that I have super short cycles and that my LP is normally 9-10 days (all true!). I told him I felt like something was "off" with my cycles/hormones (even though I conceived my two boys w/ the same LP!). He agreed to do basic fertility testing over my next cycle but made it clear he would not offer any medication until he did so - so I had to wait that cycle out in terms of TTC. So he tested my AMH, FSH, estrogen, and post-O progesterone. All of those came back normal - although, my progesterone on CD21 was at the very low end of normal. So I think it was the combo of borderline progesterone, very short cycles/ LP and my recent m/c that made him lightly suggest that I could try Clomid if I wanted to. Because I wanted it for swaying I jumped on that offer right away! But yea so I got Clomid even though we get pregnant easily and I don't have PCOS, and I do think it helped my cycles in terms of producing a "better" ovulation and thus more progesterone post-O. In your case, if your cycles are getting less regular, you have a short LP and you had a miscarriage recently maybe your doc would be open to trying something, but if she's like my doc she may make you jump through a few hoops first (ie testing). As far as the LP, 9-10 days technically is long enough - but like atomic told me in the beginning of my swaying process, with that length of an LP you still may be a good candidate for a med like Clomid b/c it is a good treatment for short LPs.

I never in over a year of swaying, TTC-ing, 3 miscarriages, fertility testing, and then recurrent pregnancy loss testing with a Reproductive Endocrinologist told my doctors about my swaying. I can't imagine telling them all I was doing (dieting, alcohol, coffee, etc) to try to get a girl would have gone over at all well with them and I'm sure they would have told me to drop those things as they were likely harming my fertility. I did however at one point tell my RE that I had lost a lot of weight over the past year and asked if that be a factor in my m/cs and she said no, not at all. But yea I wouldn't bring that stuff up either. I think outside of our community here it would be really hard for most people to understand all the things we'll put ourselves through to get a girl - even though we know that nothing atomic recommends here is dangerous and she's done her research on what is safe and what's not in terms of swaying!

Dont apologize. I cant imagine the pain and how heartbroken you and some other ladies have gone through. They are a part of you and they will always be there in your heart. I wish no women shall have to go through that, but it happens more often than I would think. I kinda want to tell family, but I am afraid, like you said, if something happens, I dont want our family to be so sad and disappointed. It will be first grandchild for both my and DH family.
12 weeks is a long time and I do want to tell our family slightly earlier than that. I will try to call doctor and see when I can come in. It most likely wont be till 8 weeks. DH thinks we should tell around 5-6 weeks.

With my DS1 I told my mom the day I got my BFP, LOL! And I've basically told her right away with every pregnancy, including my 3 m/cs. She hasn't even always been the most supportive when it comes to responding to my pregnancies and m/cs but we're still very close so I just always feel the need to tell her right away anyways. We tell my dad and stepmom early too and this pregnancy we told my DH's dad and siblings very early. All of our immediate family members know about all 3 of our miscarriages. For me, I realized with m/c #1 that it doesn't bother me having people know that I m/c but it does bother me if I can't talk about/process it - and I did want those in our family to know what we were going through and we wanted that support. But that is just me - and other people have totally different feelings about announcing pregnancies and how they would feel if they miscarry and people know about it. It's totally individual and totally needs to be what's best for you and DH!!! Some people seem to like keeping it a secret for awhile - I'm terrible at that and want to tell everyone right away LOL!!!!

With my 1st 2 boys I dtd every other day and ds3 was an o+12 attempt. This time I wasn't worried about timing but trying to stick to a 7 day abstain. Although now it's looking like I might o Sunday bc my opk I took at work today is decently darker than yesterday at the same time. If I O Sunday we might try compressed fr (2x in 6 hrs) or a regular attempt. I'm not sure I want to miss the 1st month off bcp or if I should wait til next cycle. Which is better, 1st month off bcp or abstain?

thanks for writing this, ABC. one of the things I wondered about my miscarriage at 7.5 weeks was if it was because I was losing weight (not swaying, just relatively low calories and probably sometimes not enough water if I forgot to drink it). It sounds like your doctor would tell me the weight loss had nothing to do with my miscarriage. I know that a developing embryo will take whatever nutrients needed from Mother's body, but I still worried about it.

I'm fairly sure coming off bc sways quite strongly pink and I'm not sure if it's wise to potentially 'not' get an attempt in if the compressed fr doesn't work out (hubby unable to see second release through (it being your actual attempt)) so I'd probably just have a standard attempt and maybe j&d after a couple minutes as a compromise? Again though, this is an Atomic question so please run it past her [emoji4]

ABC- thanks for hopping in to comment. I'm not sure what I want out of my doctor yet, maybe just opinions and a plan. I made an appt for Aug 1st. That will be CD 20 for me. I'm hoping that it will all be a great jinx and I will be getting a BFP just days after meeting with her. Wouldn't that be ideal??? Thank you for telling me your story. I would be open to clomid or femara, but by tracking my cycles, it does seem like I am ovulating so I don't know if clomid or femara is needed- but I didn't know it could help me LP. I too have a short LP, averaging 10-11. I am so within a normal range of cycle length, but my O is a different CD every cycle. I wouldn't mind it for the swaying though. :wink: I would like labwork. I feel like I am STRUGGLING with not losing weight and I am truly trying. I have gained 15 lbs since March's miscarriage. I also do think I need to get back on a TTC/pregnancy safe anti-depressant. I got off a non-safe one in November, but given my previous history of intrapartum and PPD, I might need it all the time now. So those are my goals. Back on meds and a plan to check me out post mc.
So back in December when I got my IUD out, I did tell her that I had a swaying for girl plan. I was doing IG things at that point as I had not found this site yet. I explained why I was taking Cal-Mag and Cranberry. She said "Cool, my sister did all the girl things when she was TTC a girl." So other than that, I don't think I will further talk about swaying. When making the appt, the nurse said, "are you having sex every other day?" I almost LOL. DH and I would never be able keep that up. Do I fib on how often I am BDing?

Atomic- Thank you for posting! I have already had a slight mention of swaying girl which she had no problem with. I won't mention any more unless specifically asked. Today I bought my big plan and sent in my questionnaires. That way we can chat back and forth and come up with a good plan to boost odds both ways.

My doc is a cool guy but I think if I told him I was doing things to try to "sway girl" he may have looked at me like I was totally crazy!! Although he's been in practice a long time and probably dealt with far crazier women so who knows!

I do think Clomid can help even in women who ovulate normally but it's definitely something you'd have to feel comfortable with. And of course I'm a prime example of Clomid's biggest "risk" - twins! So you have to factor that in as well. If you are ovulating already it could increase the odds of more than 1 egg being released.

Yea the frequency thing in terms of what to tell your doc is a little tough... I'm glad I never really got asked that question! But, you're doing every 72 hours or so right? While not every other day that's still a pretty good pattern I think so maybe you could just say every couple days, and explain that with your busy schedules the every other day thing is pretty tough? May have to fib a bit if asked how close to your +OPK you are BD-ing though.

If you really want to increase your odds next cycle too you could try E4D plus one attempt at +OPK? Seems to be recommended more often now by atomic and others and I saw atomic say the other day that lately 2 attempts really hasn't been much worse for a girl than 1. Your choice obviously, just an idea though.

HGmama it helped me bd in first positive opk, it was 2 days before ovulation. I did e4d +1 attempt at first positive opk. I was also eating 2 eggs weekly, 1x weekly salmon, full fat dairy (if u didnt try yet)

What makes me a bit worry is that it has been 2 days since i last used frer, but the line doesnt seem to be darker given HCG is supposed be getter darker every 2 days. I am not sure if you would count the test this morning as FMU as I woke up one at 5am to use restroom and I tested with the sample at 7am, so it could be counted as SMU? I only have 1 frer left so i will save it to use on Monday. I have been out most of the day, so I will test again tonight when we get home. Being out is good as it keeps me from thinking and stressing out hahaha. I hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful weekend so far [emoji173]

One attempt is still considered one of the strongest sway tactics HDP. Maybe switch to e4d though rather than one attempt at pos opk for a cycle or two? It's more conception friendly while still being pink as its pretty much still one viable attempt.

FF puts me at 4DPO. I have 2 frer tests and lots of wondfo cheapies. When do you all think is the best day to start using them? If frer I don't want squinters- I want to wait until a pretty clear accurate reading.

I am equally tempted to just wait for AF so I don't get my hopes up as much if it isn't a sticky bean.

Gafan if you want to avoid possible squinters I would wait another week. You'll be either 11 or 12dpo so should have a clear line usually by then. I think it's possible you are 5dpo and caught your temp on its way up but either day could be o day [emoji4]

Shinay please try not to poke around your cervix when pregnant as it can be risky for causing an infection. Your cervix will be firm during pregnancy. It will probably rise as the pregnancy progresses and soften/lower when you get close to labour. You tests look beautiful!! I’m home from camping and now 10 DPO. Wasn’t able to temp since Friday. Still bloated, slight cramping, creamy cm and very sore bbs. I took a test and I may see an extremely faint line.
