Sunset you look Lovely! I also get an all out front bumps although in the last few weeks with ds1 I got a few stretch marks under my bump and on my hips where I got quite big quite quickly! FX I don't get anymore this time as they've all just started to fade.

I used bio oil and palmers cocoa butter but I think you either get them or you don't I already had some on my thighs from a growth spurt in puberty so just think i'm one of the unlucky ones!

I never got any stretchmarks on my belly with ds1 (did get some on my thighs however) but i did get a few on my belly with ds2 which is strange since i carried ds1 for longer and he was bigger :S i'm keeping everything crossed i won't get anymore stretchmarks this time, but i'm sure i will :p

I don't think it has sunk in yet Sunset - did it take you a while to actually believe it?! I bought some sleepsuits this afternoon and I've been up to look at them at least 3 times because they're so unbelievably sweet :D DH and I are already 'disagreeing' about girl names! I also suddenly feel as though this baby/pregnancy is even more precious (which it isn't, it was precious whatever the gender!) because I feel like we've been handed such a lot of luck and I don't know what we did to deserve it!

this is how i feel as well even though i know my pregnancy would have been equally as special if I was having another boy. I just don't understand how I got so lucky, I never in a million years actually expected to fall pregnant with a DD.. at the end of the day it's all just pot luck who gets their desired gender and who doesnt and ask anyone, I never win on lottery tickets and such lol
I've had 3 scans now confirming the gender and it still hasnt' sunk in.. i don't think it will until i'm holding her in my arms iykwim. I'm finally starting to dare to shop for pink, but i do have my moments when i think what if I buy all this and she comes out a he.

oh and yes ladies mind if i rant for a bit?
i got my first bout of gender comments in a long while on FB this afternoon :hair: basically a friend of a friend is 20 weeks pregnant and she posted a picture of her bump to which i commented "what a cute bump" and she went on to ask me if we've found out what we're having and i answered "no, we're keeping it a surprise" to which she then of course went on to say "oh i'm hoping for you it's a girl this time since you have 2 boys, but of course gender doesn't matter as long as it's healthy bla bla" and i answered "well, only a few weeks until we find out what's hiding in my belly, either way we'll be just as happy :)" and of course then she answered "yes but i so hope it's a girl for you, a little mini "sunset" would be so cute etc etc".

See, my problem isn't so much gender comments, it's how people can't just accept and be happy with "we'll be happy either way" but then have to push on how I apparently "need" to have a DD... (did i mention btw that she has a daughter herself)

Feels like I am in early labour! Very painful cramps and back ache! Wakes me up and mostly at night it's that bad. I forgot I was pg last night and thought period was on it's way - it was downhill from there :-(

I keep on saying never again but I do it again anyway! Dh hasn't heard anything about his snip so who knows! Just sad that I won't have anymore but one has to be the last! I need hormone therapy it's not normal to be this broody

Good luck with the scan Charlie! Me and dh are better thanks. Fx he can get through Christmas without spending on his cards! I would rather he got nothing than spend more money. We shall see!

I will try a bath next time I get the bh. Someone said it will make labour Easter as your womb is stronger. Let's hope so, not looking forward to the pain after these :-/

Good luck tomorrow charlie, very exciting! Thanks for the info on the rash! I didnt end up taking the anti b's yet as decided to see how it goes. It certainly has stopped producing new spots, isnt itchy anymore and there is no more pus. Alot of it is crusting over so im hoping its on its way out. Did yours do that? Anyway i will try and hold out til after my attempt and then try and get hold of the antibiotic cream too. Did they give you flucloxacillin?

Inglewood, thanks very much for the L.root, preg tests and sweet christmas card! X

The first weeks do seem to last forever, can't believe I only took the test a week ago, seems like I should be going to my 12 week scan already, time has ground to a halt! I am starting to feel sicky...can't believe it is me this time having read about all you girls feeling bad for so long and not envying you one little bit! Not fun!

indigo - not taking the boys too early to say anything yet....not sure if we will tell them before xmas or wait till 12wk scan x wonder if there is any nub at 10wks doubt it but i should be 13wks when i have my 12wk scan!

Charlie~ Good luck at your scan..
Inglewood~ Tuesday will be here soon!!! I'm gonna say told you so!
Pinga~ thats a beautiful pic

So I am 14dpo if O was when I thought and that was up for debate at the time but thats what FF eventually gave me crosshairs for. I have only had BFN... booo... but no AF either. Went to doc today I have Crohns (really really bad IBS), I have been feeling terrible tenderness in my intestines and I am getting a low grade temp every night. So long story short the office will be calling me tonight because they ordered a blood test for HcG- will know soon for sure if its a BFN..thinking it is, but want to make sure..Confusing bc symptoms could be pregnancy or Crohns- but I DO know the intestine tenderness.... I'll let you know.

Charliespy ~ good luck tomorrow!! what time is your scan? dont forget to update us asap!

Hopeanddream ~ good luck!!!

Indigo ~ sorry to hear your suffering atm. MS is terrible :( at least it means you've got plenty of good pregnancy hormones in your body :) you will have to get a pregnancy ticker :)

Deaks ~ are you going to attempt this cycle?

Wishing4pink ~ what's it like having your ds's birthday so close to christmas? i'm worried this baby will born close to christmas.. i thought when i first fell pregnant that i had hopefully avoided christmas since baby is due end of january but then obviously realised that ds2 was born a month before his due date.

Hello to everyone else!!!

HI all, lots to catch upon here, been nightshift :(

Pinga, OMG! very girly nub! FX for u, the pic's are fab, so clear, wish mine were as good as that.

Charlie, hope u enjoy ur scan tom...what time is it?

Sunset, still envious of ur bump pic!! I had stretchmarks at 20wks with ds1 I was so huge!!! ds2 they just got a bigger bigger but are all over my tummy, like the world map!!

Deaks, :( sorry to hear ur poorly....hope ur on the mend soon and glad u got ur parcel ok, glad u could use them!!

H&G, FX you have soon good news soon. a lovely BFP! I can't wait for my scan, still having boy dreams, but dh trying to make me think more +vely as he thinks they are girls. Getting so excited and nervous....and I have 4 sleeps to go!!!!

I am putting my xmas tree (finally) up tom and writing santa letters, xmas cards. Chill out day! Not back to work till 21st Dec, on annual leave, then working xmas night :( joys of nursing!! Luckily a late start, boys will be in bed when I leave. Think I'm struggling at work with tiredness (the next day) and having alot of 'stitch' like pains and spd niggling away, so not sure if I will be working by mid -jan.

Everyone at work knows it's my 20wk scan on tues and asking me to tell them the sex if I find out. Told them I have booked a 4d scan on 18th jan with the boys as a surprise, so NO-ONE will know to then, one of them seemed a bit pee'd off like it was her right to know!! Makes me want to keep it as secret till the end. But have told most people once the boys know I don't mind saying, but beginning to wonder if I will....... I don't want to tell anyone next wk then the boys find out by a stranger, they should be the first to know, not someone at work!! I got all the 'praying for girls' for you, bet it's girls, hope it girls etc....and I can take so much of it, but last night was getting a bit much as if it's boys they will all pity me, I know it!

These bambino's better co-operate on tues or I'll burst with anticipation!!!!! Would be silly to book a gender scan, to have another nhs scan 2 wks later, but couldn't take the wait anymore.....

Should we say when we get out Secret Santa's, just incase any postal probs?????

Also, I have already decided I will not tell anyone the gender..I CANNOT stand the comments..drives me nuts!!!

Thank you! Not sure what I will do now?? I have told people that if DH can't come to my scan on tues I won't find out till my 4d scan in jan, buying me more time. Dh will def be there, so miht have to tell a a wee white lie....
After my scan I'm going to Toys r us and ikea to do the shopping I couldn't do on thurs. Gonna buy a gender specific outfit, put it in a gift bag and hand it to my mum on return. She is the ONLY person who will know b4 the boys as I trust my mum 100%, but not my MIL, so she'll have to wait.
Good for u keeping it a secret H&G, have u ever known b4 birth the sex? I haven't.

I can feel them move now, kick tiny wee kicks and move about. Feels strange, but reassuring!!

Charlie, the weather is calmer, snowed today for 10mins, but yest was WILD!! 80mph winds here, luckily no damage!

Morning ladies!!

Inglewood ~ I completely understand why you would want to wait to tell until you've took your boys to the 4d scan! i can't understand someone would take offense at that.. but then again people take offense at offense at everything these days. People throw little toddler like temper tantrums because i won't reveal what names we're considering  it's so annoying the pity isn't it.. i personally think expecting twins is such a blessing regardless of gender :) imagine you're gonna snuggle 2 newborns, that's just so amazing! i agree with hopeanddream, i believe you're having boy dreams to mentally prepare yourself not because they are boys iywkim.. only 4 more sleeps until you find out, eek :D so exciting! i'll be here stalking ;) i was wondering, if you were team green before, how come you've decided to find out this time? I've been team green too before but this time i felt my preference was too strong to hold of finding out until birth so that was my reason.

Charliespy ~ I'm very excited for you! enjoy your scan and seeing your little bean :) looking forward to your update!

Chocolate ~ glad to hear you ovulated!!! enjoy the 2ww!! :D fx for a bfp!

AFM the plan today was to drive to Manchester and visit friends, but ds2 woke up poorly with a fever so thinking he's got what ds1 had a week ago :( guess we won't be able to go now.. but will wait and see how he feels in a few hours. Hope you all have a lovely saturday! :)

I'm really hoping you're all right with the nub guesses. I'm not even sure if it is a nub or not? I have no idea really... only 8 weeks til we find out and 6 of those are school holidays... feel like I"m going to be wishing the holidays away.

Inglewood - I get your hesitation to tell. I've been telling everyone that I don't know whether to find out... its like one of those things where I want to look but don't want to. I know we're definitely finding out... but I don't want to tell anyone beforehand so we'll be fibbing :D I just want the time to deal with whatever we're having without comments from other people.

We were out last night for drinks - DH birthday and we told his friends I'm PG. One of them was saying - oh I hope its a boy. I've been pretty laid back about any comments but oooooohhhhh this one peeeeed me off big time. He was joking around saying - oh you have to create the family cricket team (DH is already one of 4 boys). I told him off and said what about me!!!! People really don't think!!!!

My brother arrives tomorrow morning so I might not be back until next week... so good luck with any attempts in the meantime and I've got my fingers crossed we'll get some more pink BFPs soon!!!!

Morning ladies, Just a quickie I'm afraid as got a mega busy weekend. I have decided to start takingn the antibiotics. Have researched them and they have a short half life of 1 hr which means they should be out of my system in around 13 hours of taking the last one. I guess this is why I have to take 4 a day as they wear off quickly. Anyway now that I'm not so worried about that aspect I am turning my worry to the fact that I have to take 4 gelatin tablets a day on top of the 2 geletin acidiphilus ones. Does anyone know how long gelatin raises testosterone for? Will it be out of my system in a few days?

Just a thought, could I open the capsules up and take the contents? Also my non geletin acidiphilus have just arrived so things looking up if I can break open the antibiotics!!

charlieispy
December 10th, 2011, 06:01 AM
i will ask DH when he gets home but i think for them to work properly you need to leave them in the capsules something about absorbing them properly if you take them out of the capsules it might kill them off in the stomach? He will know x he is out swimming and tree shopping x oh and getting me more mince meat made 24 mini ones run out of mincemeat!!

Slept terribly last night dh was out so that didnt help and i was worrying about today and then ds3 had a nappy explosion at 4am!!!! BRILL

sunset - so sorry ds is poorly hope he is feeling better soon x

chocolate - FX For your bfp and enjoy butlins my friend is there this weekend winter wonderland???

inglewood - i would not say anything till jan,,,,hehe keep them guessing x

pinga fx for your girl x x

love to all x off to sort out my naughty ds3

Thanks hun, i would be keen to know what your dh thinks. I did some research and because it seems to be quite a rapid release (hence the short half life) drug that opening it shouldnt be too much of a problem. Let me know! X

Pinga - those are beautiful scan photos, they obviously had a good machine - some of them are so unclear! Are you going to post in the Ultrasound Guesses forum? Some of the other ladies are good at guessing and Foxy is an ultrasound tech so she's the only one I believed when she said no nub in my pictures!!

Deaks - I'm not sure I'd worry about the geletin in the tablets. There's not going to be a huge amount and the boy swayers are having to consume A LOT to increase testosterone. Also, increasing/decreasing testosterone is something which takes time, it isn't instant.

Charlie - Good luck today!

Inglewood - the night before my scan I had a very weird dream. I was at my scan (but you know how dreams are, it wasn't how it is in real life!) and there was this 3D image on the computer of a man standing up and as it got to the crotch area a willy appeared and I was like 'noooo, it can't be!'. I think we all think you're having 2 little girls :D

I had a hair appt at 8am today so there I stood in the freezing cold and nobody turned up! I stayed until 8.30 as it's my Christmas do tonight and I need my hair cut today. Turns out my appointment wasn't put in the computer! I 'may' have looked like I was going to cry when the owner turned up so she quickly cut my hair, then 2 other ladies blow dried it and I got it for free - so it worked out ok in the end! The boys are all staying at my mum's tonight, first time we've left them and I'm quite nervous about it.

I had a scan at 10ish weeks with ds2 and they say if all looks well then heartbeat and all you are 99% OK or something like that. I started telling people after my 10 week scan as the odds were so good. You can start to relax now hon and enjoy (apart from feeling ill of course!)

I will Definetly tell you ladies... I am looking forward to the double cuddles, but the double crying and worry will be tough! I decided to find out this time as with ds2 I was SO sure he was a girl, so so sure as my pg was the complete opposite of ds1 and whe he was born I struggled to get my head round the fact he was a boy. I didn't treat him 1 bit different from when I had ds1 but the GD was tough. So I decided Id rather know and get those awful GD moments out my system and prepare for my lovely new baby boy (boys now!). Hope u got away ok today and enjoyed urself?

What a horrible thing to say, betcha he doesn't have kids!! Hope u have a lovely visit from ur brother and take care. x

Scan was lovely although the couple before us came down and shouted to the receptionist 'its a girl' the lady was beaming <sigh> i wish!!! Well what will be will be x

Kell - hope you feel better soon x

Inglewood - yes thats a potty shot lol x as for finding out I did with ds3 and like you needed to know so if it was a boy i could grieve for my girl before he arrived - i did grieve ALOT however when he was then born there was no upset it was amazing and lovely :D FX for finding out the sex tuesday x x

Hello!

Chocolate ~ yes you will see a temp rise after ov has taken place.

Charliespy ~ Such a cute little peanut you're cooking!! glad the scan went well :D did they find a reason for the spotting or is it still a mystery?

Inglewood ~ Tuesday is it? wow that's so soon! how are you feeling? nervous? good luck, i am super excited for you and will be wearing pink for you on tuesday!!

AFM I'm 34 weeks today and it's dawned on me that from 34 weeks they don't try and stop labour anymore.. it's finally starting to get real :D and also.. DH booked me my practical test this morning for the 7th of january. I'll be 38 weeks then so it's very touch and go if i'll have a new baby then or not. I don't expect to pass first time though, but it would be amazing if I did :D

Sunset, wow 34wks!! I think ur pg has flown by, not sure u feel the same???lol
I can't get to sleep at night with anxiety....tonight will be worse than last night and monday night I hope I sleep at all!! Dh trying to be sweet, he things they are girls and tells me to keep calm! lol

Ds2 I 'think' has hand foot and mouth disease???? He had a rash on his foot last wk and he missed a day with a terrible cold. The rash looked like his shoe had been rubbing and he'd been scratching it, nothing serious that sudocrem won't fix. But yest, he developed about 8 spots around his mouth, none inside, they are red and 2 look white at the top today. My SIL works for nhs 24, so asked for advice and him for me, apparently the risk to me is minimal if I get it and adults rarely do as they get immunity as kids?? He's well with it, no fever, just a red throat (which he's had since his cold) no spots (as yet) inside his mouth and has lost his appetite. But he's well..... so I am a bit stuck! Heard it was about school a few wks back.

Indigoviolet ~ Thank you! :) and I'm looking forward to sharing your journey! :) :HH:

Inglewood ~ Both my boys had foot, hand and mouth disease when i was in my first trimester and the gp diagnosed it as chicken pox but obviously we now know it wasn't chicken pox, since they both got chicken pox when i was 19 weeks pregnant. there's no risk to you if you catch it but you are most likely immune to it anyway since it's such a common child hood disease. the only thing my boys got was blisters on their feet, hands and mouth.. but unlike chicken pox they didn't scab over or itch, but just simply disappeared after about a week. My friends children got hand, foot mouth disease a few weeks back and her husband was clearly not immune because he got it after the kids lol :p
I feel like this pregnancy has flown by.. it's strange, because when i was in my second trimester I seriously thought time was dragging but now when i'm 34 weeks pregnant it feels as if this whole pregnancy has just flown by.. i can't believe i could have a baby in 2-4 weeks time... scary! :)
Good luck on tuesday hun! i can only imagine how nervous you must be! heck, i'll probably be nervous for you on tuesday :p :D

Babymad ~ How are you doing? still feeling better I hope? :)

Been Xmas shopping today and sorting out baby things for my hospital bag. I have over two bins bags of 0-6 m clothes! Gosh not going to miss them and hopefully will not hord it all this time but get rid as soon as it's outgrown! Sister has my pram too but still doesn't feel real.

My best friend moved 400 miles away this weekend. I am so sad:-( just when I have lots of time off work looming am I will lonely as I have seen her every week since ds2 was born. We met at a Nct bump and babes group so I hope I meet new friends with this baby.

I think in about 6 days! eek. I drank some crystal light that I orderded a few weeks ago and mixed one sachet with two pints of water so really concentrated as I'd struggle to drink 8 cups of anything in a day! It was so concentrated it stained my lips mouth and tongue bright purpley red! Lovely!! But didn't get a headache :) like I did from splenda!

Can I ask some advice is there any point starting rePhresh say on CD 12 or to just go for it when I get my smiley or O day as it last 3 days? I won't O until about cycle day 15 or maybe later this cycle as my last cycle was longer.

Thanks for temp. Rise everyone, just wondered if the rise happens straight after ovulation, so if I were to ovulate at 5am and took temp at 6am if the temp would show. Holiday has been lovely but had horrid ov pains for most of it, just like throbbing and tenderness - I swear I'm going to pop out 5 eggs! Still getting them now but had my strongest opk today much darker than the test line so just hope ov comes overnight so I feel back to normal tomorrow. Hope everyone is good, will catch up on posts when home as hard to get it all on my phone

I would use it every 3 days after AF (or starting now!) so your body is accustomed to it by the time of your attempt. Are you just having one attempt and when will that be? I would try not to use it too close to your attempt because obviously want to get pregnant!

I'm curious ladies.. i asked indigoviolet about it and i thought i'd ask on here as well. I'm planning to send my secret santa tomorrow and i was wondering if we're supposed to say who it's from or if it truly is a "secret" santa??

Maybebaby ~ i'm so sorry to hear your friend has moved so far away :( it's truly horrible to live far away from your friends.. i'm quite shy and also look like a 12 year old so i always find it very difficult to meet new friends since no one wants to really talk to what looks like a young teenage mum, sporting a bump and snort marks on her trousers
You seem to be very organised with your hospital bag? :) I've just finished packing mine, never had one packed in time for labour before :p

Lavenderlime ~ crystal light is dangerous stuff! lol even if you mix it properly it still stains terribly.. i always had a purple "crystal tash" and purple fingers from mixing the stuff.. makes you wonder what on earth is in it :S
sorry i can't be of much help I didn't use Rephresh as it's recommended on here.. i stuck with Aci gel and used a small amount of rephresh as lube to help with bd. I applied a fingertip of aci gel every morning week of ov.

Chocolate ~ good luck with your attempt! fivetuplets would be cute ;)

Thank you Zanacal will def start tonight then.

Sunset I actually really like it minus the staining! tastes like Ribena. God knows what they put in it I was really shocked when I saw it turn so dark from that small amount of powder :O

DS1's main present arrived today a DSlite I'm a bit of a plastic toy scrouge as you all know (don't worry I have got them some plastic tat :D but also some wooden toys to balance it out!!)

Anway ds1 is really into playing games on dp's Iphone as we don't have any games consols in the house.
So we decided to get him a dslite we got it for a great deal of £65 including postage and the seller offered a game card with 80 games on it for £20!!! So a massive bargain as a single cheap game starts at about £12.

Here's a link to 60 of the 80 games View image: yhtac9699 062 (http://postimage.org/image/1z25l86lg/) that it came with. plus View image: XTRA (http://postimage.org/image/2n5x0whd0/)

It arrived today and is as stated. Took a week to arrive from Japan. If anyones interested I can link to the seller. Just such a good deal had to share it with some boy mums!:)

Sunset, my ds1 had HFM yrs ago and I didn't get it, so FX I won't as I read some horrible things about abnormalities due the virus being passed thru the placenta, so gonna mention to my consultant on tues. Can't believe it's only 2 sleeps!! Keep getting txt from my SIL and friends saying will u tell us on tues", my answer... "No, we have decied to let the boys tell everyone after the scan in Jan, only fair they know 1st" they are prob a bit disappointed, but tough!! I'm sure your little princess is just fine, but I'm now gonna worry about this damn HFM!! so can undertand you must be a bit worried. She'll be perfect!! Being well looked after in there!! x

Maybe, my BF moved to London, around 400 miles too and I miss her so much! She has been gone for 18mths and I have been down once to see her. Her mum lives nearby, so she's up a few times. Last time I saw her I told her I was pg, around 5wks pg!

Good morning!! :D

Inglewood ~ Eek, not long now!!!! one more sleep :D are you excited?
If you didn't catch H,F mouth disease last time i don't think you need to worry. It's can only pass through the placenta if you don't have the antibodies and catch the actual disease yourself.. but mention it to your midwife just to certain and she might send you for a bloodtest to check for antibodies.
Thank you, I hope she will born healthy too.. everything that can be done while she's still in my uterus has been done so now it's just to wait for her to be born and after that she will get an appointment to see a specialist who will check her eyes and ears and when she's 7 months old she will have to have a bloodtest done to check for chicken pox antibodies which will confirm if she caught chicken pox in the womb or not. Everything is looking good so far, none of her internal organs have been damaged and she's growing as expected, but unfortunately there are things they can't see on a scan, like skin scarring, blindness and deafness, so yes it's definitely a worry! I try to stay positive and think that the odds of it happening is only 2% so I still have a 98% chance that she will born perfectly healthy :)

Lavenderlime ~ I'm so excited for your first attempt! hopefully you will be a one hit wonder, what a perfect christmas present that would be :D

AFM, I can so tell i'm in the 3rd trimester now.. I need to pee ALL THE TIME and the most horrendous heartburn! I was up for a wee 5 times last night in the space of 6 hours! and during these 6 hours i also woke up 3 times from painful heartburn. I was tempted to sleep sitting up! I'm going to the shops in a little while to stock up on Gaviscon to keep on the bedside table! I'm also making a mental note to remember this stage next time I get broody in the future!

I've also told you ladies that my ds2 has been poorly, well i looked in his mouth yesterday and it wasn't pretty poor boy! he has 2 back molars breaking through at once :/ better to get it over and done with I guess but there's no wonder he's being poorly and super sensitive at the moment :(

Hi all, been struggling to keep up with smog last couple of days! The rash went from bad to worse so i started the antibiotics on saturday morning but just went to the docs as things getting worse not better and the one i saw today is 100% convinced it is psoriorsis (which i have had before as a teen) and that the anti b's are pointless. So i am off those and have to take a cream (vit d) at nighttime. He said it will just need to run its course and should go by 5-6 weeks. Nice! Anyway at least i dont have to worry about my sway! Mind you i expect that the reason i have got this is because i have been feeling stressed and run down and that the shaving and swimming pool was just the trigger!

Anyway enough of me me me...feel like i constantly go on about myself on here! How are all you ladies?

Inglewood, good luck tomorrow! cant wait!

When we did it with IG we wrote who it was from and when it arrived posted a piccy of their presents which was lovely for everyone to see. Up to you of course but I think it is good to say that it has arrived just to reassure your SS. It will be great fun! Can't wait for them to start arriving!

Inglewood - good luck on finding out the sex of your babies tomorrow xxx

I will do some more catching up on this thread when my boys are in bed later. I am currently still tracking my cycles and on CD11 at mo and started testing with OPK's but something i think i read hope you ladies can help. Should i not be testing fmu??

Hi again HappyLea

On the Ebay cheapies a true positive is when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line. You will often get a line on them but they aren't like pregnancy tests where any line no matter how faint is a positive. You can't test FMU but you can with digitals. The best time to test with cheapies as bout 2-4pm whilst your just trying to track your cycles. When you attempt you should test several times a day to catch the start of your LH surge so you can work out when O+12 will be (if that's what you'll be doing). Hope that helps. Hope your dad has a seedy recovery from his operation.

Inglewood 1 sleep think I'm going to burst! lol so excited!

HopeandDream how are you hope you've got your bloods back. FX for you.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow inglewood, try to get some sleep tonight. Altho if it was me i wouldn't be able to, lol. Will be hanging around on here waiting on an update from you, how exciting!!!!!

Glad everything went well at the scan Charlie and pinga, lovely seeing your scan pics.

Also i got my secret santa in the post!! Thought it was one of the many xmas pressies i've ordered and when i realised, screamed loudly and then put in on top of a shelf until xmas day. So lovely to be sharing xmas with you lovely ladies :)

As for birthdays around christmas sunset, your little girl won't know any difference. My son likes getting 2 lots of pressies, but i always have his party earlier in the month as xmas is a busy time and makes it a little easier. He thinks he's very lucky to get 2 birthdays!!!! lol

Hi to everybody else, will try to catch up properly later on

Hello Ladies, just getting a minute to pop on. Went xmas shopping with my mum for HOURS! then got home and decided I DID want that new jacket after all!! So called my mum and she gladly came back into town at 4pm...lol Desp needed a winter waterproof jkt! Dh just laughed!

I am super anxious, can feel the nerves causing havoc with my body in more ways than 1!! lol I have desp tried to keep busy today to make sure I am tired tonight and can sleep. Feel sicky, have a nervous bladder and my heart is racing and it's still 13.5hrs away!! Hoping so much she can tell me tom, surely one of them will be 'flashing' their impt parts!!

Gonna try and suss out Dh's phone later, to log on here straight after the scan, but if I don't it will be around tea-time as we are xmas shopping in the city after the scan. Can't believe it istomorrow, did u all feel this uptight the night b4? I wasn't like this 2wks ago when I was gonna ask, maybe as I wasn't sure who would be scanning me then and if they would say?

Deaks, so sorry ur having a real rough time... psoarsis isn't fun, my dad has it bad.

He loves having a xmas/N.year b'day, as does his twin sister as they say everyone is in festive spirits and it's a happy time! Sure ur wee one will love it too if she is born this mth!

Thanks to everyone for ur best wishes for tomorrow!! I promise to try and log on asap, Dh's phone permitting I don't have a fancy android phone...maybe dh will oblige???

How are you feeling today Deaks?

Feeling ok, got another appointmewnt at doctors tomorrow to see if anything other than steroids can be prescribed for my psoriasis. Noone i know rates steroids becuase once they stopped using them, the skin problem came back including ds1's excema. Plus it says on the info sheet that came with the meds that it shouldnt be used on more than 30% of the body which is tricky seeing as im covered in it. It also says it shouldnt be used for guttate psoriasis which is the type i have, i guess because it is such a wide spread rash. So... lets hope they find something more suitable and swaying friendly ;)

How are you lavender?

HappyLea

FX for you.

Indigo hope the sickness eases off soon.

Thanks you so much for that Lavenderlime, i will change the time i am testing to afternoon time. We will be trying to do O+12 when we decide to make our attempt.

Thank you all for your lovely welcomes.

Deaks~ I have psoriasis. I get it on my elbows. My dermatolotgist prescribes a lotion and a spray. One in am one in pm. For two weeks then used only on weekends. Gonna run to my bathroom and get them- OK lotion is Vectical and spray is called Clobex. It works AMAZING. Once I got preggo though Doc took me right off. The annoying part is the Vectical is thick like Vaseline- I have to watch my elbows on furniture. Don't know if available where you are- I'm in US. Cleared it up in a matter of days. Stuff is amazing.

I hope tomorrows Doctors appointment goes well. And they can prescribe you something along the lines of what HopeandDreamG has as that sounds really good!

I'm goo thanks. Just gearing up for my sway. We'll the rephresh worked but my PH looks to be about 5 now not in the 4 region two days later so think I'm going to have to use it about 6-12 hours before my attempt for it to be really effective.
People use lime which has a much lower PH and still manage to get pregnant. So just have to hope a girl sperm battles through. I think i'd rather the conditions be too harsh and not get pregnant than having a higher ph and getting pregnant. Because I'd have 12 weeks where I would be convinced it was a boy!
What will you be using for your sway?

HopeandDreamG - Did AF show? How close to your attempt did you use rePHresh. How were your bloods? Sorry for the 20 questions! :)

This is how I feel, if pregnant Ill believe its a boy and not have that 'possibly girl' excitment. I used replens about 3 hours before dtd this month but feel it was a boy month so wont mind if a bfn.

If it is a negative this month then I am going to do everything to sway girl next month. Although did the diet alot and still didnt lower PH so going to do some research.

Thanks ladies. I've tried to google it but there's not really much information out there on high blood pressure in pregnancy. I don't have pre eclampsia yet and hopefully it won't develope into that but i guess i'll know more after i've been for my next to midwife appointments this week. Hopefully my bloodpressure will behave and not climb anymore, preferably even go down lol

Babymad ~ what a lovely gift for your dh! i love that idea! and congrats to your ds!!! :D

Maybebaby ~ How did it all start? just high bloodpressure or both high bloodpressure and protein in the urine? and what kind of birth did you have? c-section or induced vaginal?? I've never had high blood pressure before, but i cant say i was surprised today considering how much swelling i've had since 22 weeks.
I too am sorry to hear about your dad, so sad! but i bet he's looking over you from above!

Deaks ~ fx your doctor can give you something a bit more appropriate for the rash!

I was induced at 37 weeks. I had swelling and put on two stone in week. Thought that was normal ( what a idiot!) went for routine midwife check my bp was 145/90 and I was admitted straight to hospital where my bp went mad! Was there for a week, went home for a few days then re-admitted. Hopefully the protein will go. You can have pe for weeks before they deliver but unfortunately it only gets worse never better with time. I hope you don't develope it, but it isn't always that bad. My bp went to 195/165 ish and at no point did I ever feel I'll.

Here's my update~ AF came today. I knew it was coming soon bc I had a blood test and knew my first attempt was a BFN. I was starting to have a crohns flare. Thats why my temps stayed high, and why I was exhausted :( boo. Anyway now I'm on a steroid entocort AND an antibiotic. So I'm not even able to ttc for December. I'm MAD. But trying to look at it like starting fresh. Starting hard core on diet tomorrow. Will be ready for January. I do feel better already for the meds so I'm aiming to get off them for January. I know the anticiotic Im only taking for 2 weeks and the steriod is out of your system in 4 days.... So I'm Decembers cheerleader!!

Im just not convinced much goes into your system if its used sparingly like you did. Im trying to just use whatever prescribed on the bad bit of my legs. Have you ever tried coal tar? Im sure thats what i used as a teen. Sorry to hear bfn for you and also that you cant attempt this month. Fresh start in the new year! X

I'm gobsmacked, so overwhelmed!! Had my scan, she did all the checks, said babies are well, twin 2 a little bit smaller than twin one then said "so u want to know if u have a football team or saving for 2 Weddings?" "Well, ur I think ur saving for weddings!" She asked what the boys want and when I said ds1 boys/ds2 girls, she said ds2 would be happy. She said they would check again in 2 wks. Got lovely compression stockings for work due to varicose veins/phlebitis. But Bp good. Went to do xmas shopping and bought 2 wee pink sleepsuits from next with fluffy rabbits on the front!! Couldn't see any dresses I liked, like u Z!!! Where are they when I can finally buy them!!! lol

Took the bag home and got my mum to pull them out, she kept hugging me!!! After 4 grandsons, she has 2 grand-daughters!! Hope they don't change their mind at my next scan!! FX!

awww i'm so truly happy for you!!!!! :D :D

HopeandDreamG - Did AF show? How close to your attempt did you use rePHresh. How were your bloods? Sorry for the 20 questions! :)
No problem- ask me anything!
Yes. Af showed today. Don't know if you saw other post- can't even ttc for December on steroids and antibiotic right now for Crohns flare. Getting ready to diet STRICT starting tomorrow for January. Don't want to give up too much, I'd rather have a few BFN and get a PINK BFP if that makes sense. But I will do rephresh a little further before attempt. Does that make sense? Also wanted to keep it at one time attempt instead of more. THoughts?

about my secret santa present, i've sent it out but i do apologise it's in a HUGE parcel box!! i had 2 options in the post office, one box which of course was too small or a box which could probably have fit me in it  okay that might be to exaggerate a tad, but the box is big! I did write from santa on the christmas labels but it does have my name and return address on the parcel box so i guess I won't be much of a "secret santa"

Inglewood - CONGRATULATIONS! 2 beautiful little girls! What a blessing... :D

Just popping on here... things have been busy with my brother here. He's currently still asleep as is his little girl - both still suffering from jet lag... so I've got a chance to pop on here. He does NOT understand why I want a girl. He has 1 of each anyway.

Well - I managed to post my scan video the other day and every single person changed their opinion/guessed boy... so feeling a bit down. Am trying to prepare myself for when we find out. DH said I guess having a daughter is going to be one of those things in life we never experience. Broke my heart when he said that. I know its not definite yet... but in my heart I feel it is... :( Sorry don't mean to be depressing. Good to get it off your chest....

Hope everyone is doing well and getting ready in the run up to Christmas... Its only Next Week! insanely soon!

Right, my ss is in the post too - or will be tomorrow!

Have my growth scan and consultant app tomorrow - ekk! Hope all goes ok. Half want to be signed off work (I can't book xmas off as there is no cover - errmmm... I told them 14 weeks ago I was leaving to have a baby!!) and half me thinks don't be stupid as baby would be early. Oww so mad with work!! My team lead has two weeks off as she has to see her neice???!!! What about my CHILDREN! No family Christmas for them! Ba humbug!

Pinga - you never know! It could go 50:50 right now. Far to early! I did think oh no dd for me ever, but sometimes I think I could have another, other times I think how much I love to travel and want to get back to that. Theres lots of things I am never going to do. Thinking like that makes it easyer for me. Plus after this PG I can't think about being PG again! I hope I want to get sterilsed the very next day! But I am terribly broody after giving birth.

Went to my friends empty house today to check post - she had a lovely home and to see it empty and her gone makes me so very very sad :¬(

Thanks!! Not telling boys yet. Have booked a 4d scan on 18th jan and they don't know about it! They will find out then and I will let them tell everyone what sex the babies are! So some people know I was gonna ask today, but know I'm not saying till Jan. Only people that know are DH and my parents. Don't trust my in-laws NOT to tell the boys at xmas time when we visit, so better to keep quiet all round.

I LOVE ur pic's on FB, I showed my mum today and she agreed he is the cutest little guy and she said he had such lovely eyes, so bright for being a newborn. Bet ur so proud! Do the boys adore him? Bet they fuss, cuddle and kiss him! Who wouldn't he's so super cute! I hope he's still sleeping well for u and ur not too tired. Yeah for fitting into ur pre-mat jeans u lucky lady!!! Has always taken me mths, even yrs!!

Maybe, it took me a while to get over my BF going 18mths ago, but I'm ok now. Pre-pg I had a fab trip to London to stay with her!! Once ur little guy is here u will be kept busy and might not be so upset, lovely she'll come and visit. How far is she away? hrs wise? x

Think the Hand, Foot and Mouth has got worse?? But just incase it's something else I'm gonna get him checked out. Spots spread more up his cheeks, no appetite (not like him), quite hoarse and just not himself :( Wondering if it's teh tonsilitis again? they are a bit swollen, but no fever.... Morning all! Was checking to see if Little miss had been on with any bfp pics???

Sunset, baby brain is a 'given' with my Pg's...do u know for 2 days in a row I forgot ds2's lunch box and homework bag!! was his glasses last wk and the school have asked ME to supervise the kids going across the road to the village hall with the teacher!! Now I ask u!!! She who runs back in with 'forgotten' items......lol

Maybe, do u work on xmas? I am working Christmas day :( but desp want it off next yr with it being the babies 1st xmas, so I HAVE to work it this yr. Not so bad to work nightshift tho. Would hate to work thru the day.

I am planning to sort out xmas prez, go to the village hall to 'supervise' lol and then take ds2 to Dr, he's still not right and wouldn't even eat a bananna today!! Now that is odd for him! complaining of a sore ear too, so best to have him checked. DH has the car, so need to take both boys out of school early to get the bus and I have no-one to collect ds1 at 3.15pm (dh not home then) and he'll not go with my neighbour since the boys fell out (well, her son lied about my son then got caught out lying)...

I have 3 new scan pic's if anyone wants a nosey???...not great, but ds1 thinks they look 'creepy' as the babies are facing the scanner!! They do look weird. It's the first 3 pic's taken yest.

Inglewood, how did it go with ds at the docs?

I have been taken off the steroids (though can still use them a little on the really bad patch) and prescribed coal tar :) I believe that is all good for swaying, so im back on... only used a teeny tiny amount of steriods twice so no damage done...and anyway tamara said if testosterone had been raised i would see a raise in temps and also the odd facial hair!! im waiting for a letter from the hospital to see if my ds1 will be having an operation on his foot. i dont know weather i told you all that my ds1 is polydactyle ( he has an extra digit on his foot) its a normal toe and all his bones are fully developed so his case is extreamly rare. He's had all is xrays and mri scans over this past year, we are just waiting for the nod for the operation.

Thank you H&G I'm going for a one time attempt too! :). I usually fall pregnant easily so realise it may take a little longer as by swaying i'm really decreasing my chances of getting pregnant but that's ok as long as I know I've given myself the best chance for a DD!.

Dp's dad has a new (younger) wife and they had a baby boy on monday. So took Ds1 to see him today and to drop off a card and gift. Feels funny that my boys uncle will be younger than them!!!

It was all a little strange really when we found out she was pregnant, I think DP was very hurt as his dad was never hands on with him and his brother. Plus it will be odd having a brother that is 25 years younger than him!! but they all seem very happy and the baby is very cute and looks like BIL when he was a baby!!

DP's grandad said to DP's dad, about the baby 'send him back we wanted a girl!' (they had two boys, DP's Dad had two boys and I've had two boys!) No pressure not to have a third boy then!! God knows what they'll say??!

GeCon - the baby girl spells are on ebay but there is a certain one the girls have been buying and some people have jumped on the band wagon and are doing the same kind of thing buy selling girl spells. i think the seller is fairy witch and are about £6 but one of these gals whove bought one will need to confirm it

Thanks sunset I think it was ment as more of a joke than anything but just made me feel sorry for a 3rd boy if I ever had one. If I had girl she would be spoilt beyond belief as it would be the first girl in three generations. My Dad likes me having boys though as he has three daughter:)

Gecon I got one it cost £10 with a money back guarantee from ebay the ladys lovely and will recast if your not pregnant within 3 months of getting the spell and if nothing 3 months after you get your money back. She has great feedback!

I was sent a spell ring which I wear a few times a week or pop in my pocket (you don't have to wear it all the time), words to read out before DTD. And told to have a 30 minute bath before BD then read the words out and do it 3 times in my cycle as spells work best in 3s (although I will only be doing a one shot unprotected attempt) and prop my hips up after BD.

Hope that helps, inglewood got one and hers sure worked;)!!

Well I got scanned straight as I had to be slotted in so jumped the queue. Omg there is a baby in there for real!!! 2 lbs 8 oz so bang on for size. Breech (naughty baby!) and still a boy :-) I have been signed off from the hospital as I am seen every two weeks by the midwife and its all looking ok so far. Just as well as I was for three hours and a few minutes short of being fined by tesco for parking to long. A lot more excited now, bit bad news I have very little room to play with my blood pressure but they said I will go on meds if needs be (didn't work for me before though) more worried he won't turn - little bugger!

Hey everyone, congratulations lmw :-). Babymad that's an amzing feeling, I really miss that! Well I'm about 4dpo just about and I'm sure one breast leaked a bit of milk?? I stopped bfeeding about 2 months ago, my breasts are just looking for any excuse to start producing milk again, just a whiff of possible pregnancy and they are off ha ha! Hope everyone sleeps well x

Thanks hun! Mine was definately caused by trauma to the skin by shaving and then the chlorine in the pool as my legs were on fire and the spots started when i was in the pool. Yuk, never going swimming there again! It'l go eventually as guttate psoriasis doesnt hang around longer than a few months. :)

Goodness me, just shows u never know what can be picked up at the pool! FX it clears soon that's awful.

Babymad, sorry to hear ur not sleeping :( esp after saying the nausea was a bit better, always something waiting to take over isn't there!! Lovely u felt the baby kick, so reassuring!! I get firmer kicks these days from both sides, so weird! babies lying like Yin and Yang!! Are u waiting till 20wk scan to find out gender? As ur 16wks now!! wow!

Lavender, lovely news about the new baby, but must be tough for ur Dp, would be strange to have kids older than ur own brother, but suppose it happens alot these days. What do ur boys make of the baby?

Chocolate, I'm waiting for the milk floods!!! Around 20wks+ I start leaking milk and wake up soaking wet!! Breast pads on the ready!!!

Think DH's twin sister has taken the huff we didn't tell her yest, not replying to our texts. She even said her wee girl (who is 7) was so upset Dh said no-one was to know yet, mmmm....not sure she really was? MY SIL told everyone she was having a girl after her boy, wasn't a big deal for her like it is for me!!

let her take the huff inglewood. this is your miracle and dont let anybody spoil that!! She may secretly be gutted that 'your' the one having twins and having girls too. You know what ppl can be like. they like to see if you fail at everything! chin up hun!!! xxx

chocloate i never breastfed with ds2 but if i squeeze either nipples i get milk loss. i know its so strange as you would think it would have dried up seen as though he's 3 and half but i told my mam and she said that i was just like her. im the baby of the family and she said allthough im 24 yrs old she can still express a little milk! lol i had a niggly feel before getting a bfp this time round as my boobs have been super tender and feel lumpy and heavy! fx you get a BFP!

Well good morning! I think I've caught up! Altho I'm not sure how much I took in after reading 16 pages lol!
So excuse me if u get names and events mixed up!

Lmw- huge congratulations on your bfp!! Happy and healthy pregnancy!

Inglewood- I'm still so pleased for you, how annoying of your sil, what's it got to do with her anyway!

Baby mad- happy belated birthday to your ds and so sorry for the loss of oh's mum, hope he is coping ok!

Sunset how's your bp now?

Afm- well work is quite good, I'm working in accounts three days a week, it's been a long time since I sat at a desk all day, it's very weird! I keep getting a numb bum as well lol! Seem to have picked things up well! The evenings are a rush and I've been working on college assignments as well so the house has been totally disgusting! Assignments handed in now and I've got a couple of days of work and college so get to clean, chill, be with my baby who I've missed terribly, do a bit of Xmas shopping and just generally relax!
Ds1 had his school play on Wednesday I really enjoyed it,ds2 came with me, he was really good and then his brother came on stage and he wanted to be up there with him lol!
Pregnancy wise alls well, the sickness has really eased, I had a week or two where it was awful but now it's just first thing because I've not eaten, getting a little back ache but nothing too bad and it could be the chair at work more than anything.
Had a big argument with dp yesterday because of how lazy he is and how I never get any help even when I ask for it! I know he has the hump about me working as well, mainly because of lack of control and me having a life outside the house! All seems to have blown over now but nothing will change, I probably should have just not bothered saying anything!

Right must get off here and get on with the day!

Hope all ladies and babies are well!

Good morning! I can't believe i'm here writing another "good morning post" the days just seem to fly by! it's nearly weekend!

Inglewood ~ Eugh for people taking offense at something so ridiculous. It's very understandable you would want your sons to find out first before anyone else and if they can't see that then they're just plain stupid IMO! at the end of the day your sons are your immediate family, your SIL is not. But i think it could have something to do with what Littlemisswilko mentioned, perhaps she's feeling a bit "threatened". She's not going to be the only one with the girl anymore iyswim? and the fact you're expecting identical twin girls is just even more amazing.. and lets not forget having 2 boys and twin girls, that's the perfect family make-up!! :)

Kell ~ I don't know yet, i'm going tomorrow morning to have my bp checked again. I'm hoping it was a one off but I doubt it. Glad to hear you're enjoying your new job and that the nausea has eased up, but i'm sorry to hear you had a big fight with your dh. I hope he starts coming around to the idea of you working soon.. you would think he would be more supportive?

GeCon ~ I too bought my spell of ebay from a lovely lady called mia-angel :agree:

Chocolate ~ sounds like a promising sign? :) how long will you wait to test?

Littemisswilko ~ any MS yet?

can i ask u ladies as im now totally confused, for ttc a girl r we supposed to hav extra calcium? this forum is differnt to what ive been used to!! is the ig diet better or the LE? xx

Sunset
December 15th, 2011, 05:57 AM
Homebirthingprincess ~ I really don't like to say which diet I think is "better" since I think it all comes down to personal preference. What works for one person may not work for someone else iyswim. Personally though I am more comfortable with the idea of the IG diet. I did come across the LE diet before I started swaying, but the IG diet made more sense to me so I that's what I went with. I don't judge anyone for doing the LE diet or A-gender diet or french diet or any of the other 100's of swaying diets out there, as long as you feel happy with your sway and believe in it then that's all that matters :agree: but I know myself how confusing it is to read up about one diet and then come across another website which is the complete opposite.. it had me very frustrated there for a while before I decided to pick just one diet and go for it a 150%

Morning all, on to have a quick rant......sorry!!!

Dh started work at 6am today, he phoned me at 8am saying "quick get on FB, did u say we are having girls, even by accident??" I said no and checked.... the only comment is from an ex-work collegue who is kinna 'psychic' with things saying "how lovely 2 girls"...I just took that as a guess from my scan pic?? I replied to her, "Is that what ur thinknig? not sure, ds1 wants boys, ds2 girls" That was it...I didn't confirm or say we even knew or were going to find out!

Well.....apparently my older SIL (not the above mentioned one) phoned dh at work and said, "hear it's 2 girls" dh said where did u hear that, she doesn't have fb and told him it was on FB!! The only 2 people to have Fb in his family is MIL and Dh's twin sister, so I texted them asking who told my older SIL that? The twin sister got back to me said, not her, hasn't spoken to her in wks, so it must of been my MIL who phoned her and said!! Dh is FUMING!!!! and me, as do they honestly think a friend on Fb is gonna know the sex before our own family???? (I know u guys know, but u know what I mean). This is why he can't trust his family :( not to tell the boys at xmas!!! Who does my MIL think she is telling his sister before we do??? Super mad ladies this morning...can feel my blood boiling!

Hey, homebirthprincess - I was confused to start with, and basically wanted to just limit nutrients as much as possible as I think that is key so mainly ate pasta and some parmasan or rice. I think if Im not pregnant this cycle I will follow IG 100% as I did the diet 70% ish and if Im pregnant I will feel like its a boy so next time want to do 100% for my own hope really.

LMW - thats reassuring to know as ever since feeding DS1 Im sure I could get milk out if I tired. Ill prob. start testing in a few days, but have decided if its negative this month I will actually be a bit relieved and will give it 100% on the IG diet etc. next cycle or may even wait till March,or at least try for 0+12 in the meantime although I did look out for changes this time but couldnt pinpoint 0+12 by doing that so not sure.
