Rainbowflower~ Is red rasberry tea the same as raspberry leaf tea you were talking about? I bought Bigelow (brand) Red Raspberry Herb tea (caffeine free) is this correct?
yes, I think so - contains red raspberry leaves :)
it's this one, so you can see the ingredients: Raspberry Leaf Herbal Infusions | Fruit teas | Holland & Barrett (http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=1511)

Think it's too early for an Imp Dip? I think I'm only 6dpo at the most. Who knows...Honestly, I am just thrilled to pieces that my body finally got things in gear and O'ed. Whew! In about a week, regardless of the outcome, I'll be having a food-a-palooza for a day or two :)
Nope! Follow my ovulation chart link and check out my BFP chart from August 28th, 2011 - I had an implantation dip at 5dpo!

Kd, good on you! I always go to a doctor and tell them what I want. It makes their job easier and I walk out happy.
I am loving all the symptoms amari, suregena, OOTB. FX for you all.
Pinkin and Katie, it would be so nice for you both to get a BFP this month. I know you are really close. Sorry you are feeling like it won't happen this month Pinkin. This swaying can be really hard emotionally.
I am sad this morning. My temp has jumped up, so I am sure FF will end up saying I O yesterday. DH won't be home until tonight, so the egg will be dead by then. I had a small blob of EWCM last night which is pretty typical for me when I O. I have been charting for 11 months and I have never O so early before. It was only CD12, my previous earliest was CD13. I would never have thought to tell DH he needed to be home so early in my cycle. He works away 3 days every week, so trying to have him around when I need him is not easy. He has already shuffled things around to try and help and now it's too late. Perhaps being so ultra relaxed this month has backfired after all! :tissue:

Yes, I have nothing to lose. It is just disheartening as last year I couldn't get pg with O+12. This will be more like O+24, so I won't be expecting anything to come of it.
That Chinese calendar was right for DS1 but wrong for DS2. According to that, my next chance of a girl isn't until April/May this year!

Where do you shop online?
what do the opks say?

Amari, when are you testing?
KD...where are you?
Thunderstorms in the heat is so romantic...:)
Actually we had some thunderstorm risk yesterday as the weather was super mild...then snow today.

pink-sorry about bfn, maybe your are still in, you said you didn't get a + test until you missed af with your ds. fx for you still!
katie-hope you are feeling better today and that you are still in too!
lemon-agree about the thunderstorms!
Not sure when to test, I will probably test too early. We'll see.
peony-I hope dh gets back for you!! Hope it's not too stressful.

January 25th, 2012, 01:15 AM
Thanks amari. I just have to hope that I didn't O until today. I did have some O pains and tenderness while I was at the gym, so I will basically be doing an O+12 if I am lucky at this stage if that is when I Od. Not my plan at all, but what can you do?!
We have thunderstorms every afternoon at this time of year. I love them, but the dog is still scared of thunder.
Pinkin, Dannikins, are you doing anything for Australia Day tomorrow? Wish I could have a few glasses of wine!
Lala, where have you gone? How are you?

January 25th, 2012, 01:22 AM
I know this is going to sound crazy, but I'm seriously considering not testing again until Sunday. I've been talking to a good friend this evening, and she's helping to renew my positive outlook a little. I had been calculating my O day wrong (because I have no idea what I'm talking about lol) and she told me since I am unsure I should err on the side of caution and say Sunday (the 15th) was my O day since it was 2 days after I got my +OPK. That would make me only 10 DPO today (the 25th). Maybe I was just testing too early. With my last pregnancy I was put on bed rest immediately because of how low my levels were. So... maybe... I need to just wait it out. It is going to KILL me to wait, but I am out of tests so I will just make sure I don't buy more until Saturday evening. I am driving myself crazy with these BFNs so I need to focus on other things for a couple days.

Peony How did you go with d/h is he able to get home?? Geeze Its so hard sometimes to have your attempt go to plan all the time and effort and then it doesnt go they way you want! Australia Day I wont be doing much my d/h is still away so d/s and i are going to go visit my cusin who had a baby girl last week, she is in Melb so a bit of a drive will be a nice day out anyway. What are you getting up to?? So many parties and bbqs going on !!
Katie thats great that you have a friend who you can talk to it really helps when you have another set of ears and ideas .
I still think you will get a bfp
PeonyPrincess
January 25th, 2012, 08:38 AM
He made it home. The weather is not good, but the pilots do a great job (he is only in a little plane). We had our attempt. At best it would be O+10, but if I O last night then I know I would have no chance. I didn't tell him until afterwards that it was not looking promising as I didn't want him to lose focus! My cervix at 6pm was a lot firmer but not low yet, so at least I know we did everything we could given the circumstances. I won't be holding my breath, put it that way.
We have been invited to a BBQ tomorrow. I am making pavlova. Should be great fun...eating salad and not drinking!! One of my friends knows what I am up to, but the others who will be there don't know. It is so good being able to talk to someone about it all. She wanted to sway as well (she has 2 girls and wanted a boy) and then she discovered she was pg before she got a chance. Anyway, it looks like a boy!
Enjoy your visit tomorrow Pinkin. Hope you get lots of cuddles!

Happy Australia Day! Have fun! Glad you got an attempt in, Peony! Sounds like you didn't miss it! That's exactly how I got preggo the very first time I ever did! GL!
Pink-Have fun, sounds like a wonderful day!
OOtb-How are you doing in the tww?
Katie-What a great friend! I think that sounds like a great plan. I have tested too early in the past and gone on to get a bfp.
How is everyone else doing?
I tested this am I think 9dpo and got a bfn. Even though it is stark white I keep holding it up to the window and I swear at a certain angle I see a shadow of a line. I'm sure it is wishful thinking, if I show it to dh he will think I am CRAZY. I went to a chocolate shop last night for a girls night out where they make their own chocolate and we helped and had a tour and ate about 6 truffles! OMG, not good for LE diet. OOPs. Well, I will try not to obsess all day and pay attention to the children I already have:whip:

To all my Australian Girls…Happy Australia Day! You’re all sleeping right now but should see this when you wake up!
Regarding the Chinese Gender Charts, I am too scared to look at any of them this time b/c I’ve got too much stress as it is and am just  for a healthy, full-term bub. I know from experience to stay far away from things like this as it’ll screw w/my head. :)
Pinkin & Katie, I for one am not giving up hope on your BFPs unless AF comes. :hug2: for you…there’s still time. Testing later is probably a good thing for both of you! :fx: :luck: :cheer: :HH:
PeonyP - you got some sperm in there in time…You did all you could do. I’m sending you some :luck: :pinksperm:
Amari, I’m still trying to ignore the 2ww…6 or 7 dpo but whose counting, lol. YAY…you’re 9dpo! Still early but getting closer! Since you may have seen something, test again today if you have a few tests to burn. Mmmmm…chocolate truffies…:awe:…be still my hungry tummy!
 to everyone else! :HH:

Peony~ came on this morning to see if you DH came home so you can jump him! I'm glad you were able to get an attempt in- you never know. Funny, the one month I got to attempt after tracking for months and months O came CD12 for me (in November) and its always CD 16 or CD17. It seems it always the month the actual attempt is that things shift. Unreal! Anyway, there's still a chance.
Katie~ So sunday you will test? I think thats a good plan.
Can't wait to be agonizing over symptoms myself!
Lemon~ where r you with the 2 WW? When is DS bday party?
Amari~ Looking forward to hearing about your testing(s)!! Fingers crossed for you :)

I'm kind of scared to test though b/c I really don't want to see a BFN but then again, I would love to eat regular food as soon as possible (oh, yeah, and to know I've got my baby finally growing in my belly, lol)... I always think I'll be calm and cool in the 2ww, but the prospect of finally being preg again is too much sometimes and I can't stop thinking about "what if"...Hope the next 20-something days go by swiftly for you! We'll be cheering you on all the way! :)

I was looking at my ovulation tests again and one must have fallen on the floor or something because I swear it wasn't in that photo I posted. It's stick 6 so probably from around the 19th or so, and the line is more overall solid than all of the others. So I must have ovulated on the 20th about which would correlate nicely with my noticing my CP dropping and change in CM.
So, would that make me 4dpo or 5? Going on that assumption, anyway.

I don't even want to think or look at chocolate or anything sweet right now...the nausea found me...and it's stalking me! Ack!
I'm a wimp, plain and simple, but every time I have nausea in the first trimester I say "never again!" but it's not until I'm back in the crappy, I don't want to eat but I have to eat everything tastes like crap mode that I remember what I had promised myself before! Sorry ya'll that I'm not feeling very loving and snug today :(
Thanks for the shout outs Hope and Dreams & OOTB...
I still got my fingers crossed for you OOTB and I DO think the temp drop was "implantation" dip!
Rainbow, I am still hoping you get a BFP coming soon your way...
Peony, how heartbreaking!!! This was going to be your month! ACK, I hate when plans go awry at the last minute! I am still glad you got an attempt in, and one never does know! You may have still caught the egg!
Amari, 9 dpo is still way early! I'd wait 2-3 days and then test again!
Surgena, I think night sweats is a good sign, I still think you're going to pop up preggers!
Pinkin, so sorry about your BFN :( Hopefully March will be your month!
Katie, I'm glad you are going to wait to retest, try not to get too discouraged. Keep busy!
Lemon, when is your DS2's birthday?
I have decided that if I am indeed pregnant with DS3, BRING IT! I am ready for a snuggly lovable bundle of sweet blue, I feel like I am really ready for whatever God brings me...and this feels like the best blessing of all! My DS1, who is so cute and so funny and who breaks my heart every day, has taught me this lesson. If this is what having a son is like, another son would be fine!

Mine is too! Really hope this is a good thing for both of us! I usually get a dip at about 3dpo but this time nothing until 5dpo (or 6dpo in my book). I am seriously stalking your chart everyday! :p
I'm stalking BOTH of your charts! Jen - yours is looking gorgeous - your temp is going up nicely after your dip. I can't wait to watch it the next couple of days!

yeah my doc told me cd 2 as it should make me ovulate around cd 14 apparantly on the 2nd day, she gave me the impression that the later you take it the later you would ovulate but im not to sure, i took it cd 2 with both my boys (dont worry clomid does sway pink but i was doing classic boy swaying with both of those pregnancies unintentionally) and i ovulated cd 16 for ds1 and cd 19 for ds2, so its not very accurate lol,

from what I remember, isn't the earlier you take clomid the more eggs you get but the poorer the quality? and the later you take it the fewer you get but of better quality... although this can take a bit longer to OV?

I'm kind of scared to test though b/c I really don't want to see a BFN but then again, I would love to eat regular food as soon as possible (oh, yeah, and to know I've got my baby finally growing in my belly, lol)... I always think I'll be calm and cool in the 2ww, but the prospect of finally being preg again is too much sometimes and I can't stop thinking about "what if"...Hope the next 20-something days go by swiftly for you! We'll be cheering you on all the way! :)

Dannikins, I always forget to say hi to you until after I’ve posted… Putting you at the top of my list today! Hope all is well…Are you actually going to wait the rest of your pregnancy to find out the gender or will you get to have another peek at your bean? I was “team green” once but I don’t think I’d be able to manage it again!
 Hi to LMN7 too!
Rainbow, that’s a great approach to take…temp if it’s convenient, don’t bother if it’s not. I will say, though, that I wish you would keep temping b/c I’d rather look at your chart this cycle than worry about mine, lol. Your temps just keep going UP, UP, UP like a rocket! I’m in awe!
 Welcome, sis4O. Where are you in your cycle? Are you TTC this month? FortuneBaby says girl ALL YEAR LONG for you?!?!? Hope that’s true!
Amari, sorry for the BFN…still early though! The only reason I said to test again yesterday was b/c you thought there was a teeny tiny something there. Just try to keep busy for a few more days and then we’ll see what you get…:cheer:
Katie, I reeeeeeaaaaaaaallllllllly hope are your signs are leading to a sneaky BFP! Sounds promising to me!
Pinkin – Sending you heaps of :hug2: and :HH: It’s really rough waiting for AF…I know you just want to move on. Still keeping my :fingers: for you though.
Peony, I’m sending you tons and tons of BFP vibes…I really hope you get it this time and I hope you can stay busy for the next week or two. :luck: 2ww just sucks…I know I say that all the time but I just cannot say it enough!
H&D – you’re so sweet! We're all eachother's cheerleaders on this thread! I’m pretty sure I’ll be TTC alongside you in Feb. I looked at the calendar and I think I’ll be Oing around Feb 23rd (ish) so it’ll be soon after you I think. I’m hoping and  all of us can get our BFPs in the next 45 days! We’ll be part of one HUGE due date club together :)
Hey, Lemon…you’re just a few days ahead of me. Today, I’m kind of thinking I just won’t test at all unless AF doesn’t come on time. I never want to see a BFN ever again in my life, lol!

Apparently a day or so after fertilization the egg releases a chemical called EPF (early pregnancy factor) which lowers your immune system to stop it from attacking the egg. Getting ill about now could actually be a good sign. :luck:

Hi out of the Blue ( cool name choice) and everyone else. I am TTC this month after a chemical last cycle. I am ov TODAY!! Awesome right? Not really! My poor ds who just turned 3 was admitted to our local Hospital with what appeared to be some super virus. He was having 105+ fevers. Today is day 6 and we've been moved to Children's Hospital Boston. They are checking for Kawasaki disease, he has some of the symptoms and some bad blood work but not all of it is insistent so we're still thinking virus. He's actually doing much better than he was Sat through Tuesday.
I am ashamed to admit I brought my opk's with me to hospital. Last nights was very close to positive, so after a pm to Atomic I took her advice sent dh home for all my "stuff" and attempted a TBM. So awkward in a bathroom. I just couldn't miss this month after all my hard work, especially because I'm 40 and don't have much time!! When I did an opk's this am it was SUPER positive. Now what? Do we attempt another TBM in our private hospital room? I would never dtd, I'd be to scared! I might dtd ( quick and discreetly with sleeping ds tucked in bed)if it was late and there were no nurses checking in but I'm sure dh wouldn't. I wanted to go through O because of age and using Rephresh and Sylk. What do you all think ( besides that I'm nuts). Obviously Ds is our first priority but I need these o attempts. I did another Rephresh finger this a.m. even though I was due for a full applicator but didn't want to make it too hard if need to do TBM. dh has done FR and it asn't been easy. Today is day 20 of my cycle!! I'm STARVING. Not much on diet at Hospital cafeterias. Mostly Diet Pepsi with loads of Equal!!
Sorry so long but could use you advice. I've read all you posts and praying for a number of you to get your BFP's soon. That stark white first line is heartbreaking.

I survived another day without testing. I did almost have a mini panic attack while shopping though. I had some cramping and it felt as though AF had come, so I rushed to the bathroom worried it had come a few days early. It was a great relief to know I was wrong though. I found myself staring at the pregnancy tests after that, but I forced myself to walk away without buying any. I bought some book shelves though, so I'm going to keep myself busy with putting those together and organizing them tomorrow. I'm just waiting for Sunday because I'm either going to see a BFP or AF. How is everyone else doing?

I'm going to do my first test on the 30th. That might be too early (AF isn't due until February 1st or 2nd) but we're having a date day and are going out to eat (and I will eat regardless of the outcome to enjoy myself!) and stuff, so would be nice if I had a faint positive that day... but I'm not expecting it!

Welcome, sis40. Hope your son is ok. How did the tbm go?
Well, I ended up going to the ob/gyn today because the last couple days I looked like I was 4 months pregnant and this morning I had sharp ovary pain. Turns out I have Ovarian Hyper Stimulation Syndrome from the clomid. I have to get blood work done and an ultrasound to make sure my electrolytes are ok etc. No sex for one month! And, if I'm not pregnant, (which it's looking like I'm not), I have to skip next month of trying so my ovary goes back to normal size. So sucky. I drowned my sorrows in my sons ' chicken nuggets and french fries tonight and a pb&j. Now my oversize belly hurts even more! I really wanted to have a baby before November. Sorry to vent.

It's really tough when family isn't supportive. My mom has always been the type that gives "advice" whether you want it or not. Before I was married it was her constantly telling me to go back to school. Now she thinks I need to do the same child spacing as she did, etc. It's really lame and I hope that either she turns around or that you will find it easier as time goes on to let her comments roll off your back. <3

Well, high temps are probably because I was coming down with a fever. It's much lower this morning than it was last night (above 38C) but its still raised and I'm worried it'll harm my chances... and after such a good sway this cycle too... :(

oh no... and now it's moved my crosshairs and it says I last BDed 2 days before OV! :(
I know my latest temps might not be accurate due to the fever/whatever, but really hoped it was the day before it now says it is!
ETA - right, discarded the temps and changed it to "monitor" *sigh*. PMA rapidly decreasing!!
ETA - again, left the temps as they were (I like seeing more temps on my chart), and just changed the detector mode to fertility awareness and it put my OV day back to where any non-computer would have put it

Out of the Blue, I think you had a great implanation dip on 5 dpo, and your temps are really rsing! I understand about guarding your heart, hun, but you have a beautiful chart! :hugs:
Rainbow, I still think your chart looks beautiful too!
Katie & girl mom and all the others with pesky Mothers: I hear ya, and I understand how that feels to have an unsupportive Mom. Mine is coming around now, and trying to be excited for the pregnancy, but she is still very obvious in what she wants. She says we'll "celebrate" if the baby is a girl, and "accept" if he's a boy.
After talking to her about this, I've gotten very protective of the baby in general, and I think I sort of hope sometimes the baby is a boy, because I'd love him so much...she's gotten in my head...it's like i find her girl only discussions so distasteful that I want to go the opposite way! LOL. Besides, I love my boys with all  They are the world to me!! Another boy wouldn't be the end of the world like she makes it out to be, sheesh!!
Amari, that sucks so bad about the clomid giving your ovaries that condition. I hope you and your DR can work hard at getting it under control. Just remember that while this sucks right now, eventually when you meet your 3rd little babe, you'll be so in love with that baby that all this pain of waiting/ ovulating etc will fade away!
Hope N Dreams, still so excited for your Feb attempt! Need you to join us in the due date buddies asap! :)

im so sorry katie, if it helps my mother called me yesterday and told me my baby probably wasn't a boy at all as the scan was too early and then she demanded to know when my husband was getting his vasectomy. she told me i was crazy and already my sister stopped speaking to me and my grandmother offered to pay for my abortion. really the only person who wanted this baby was me. i hope you are pregnant, your baby is a blessing boy or girl, it doesn't matter, its part of you and part of your family.
This post just freaks me out! What is wrong with those people??? I am trying for #5 so I understand the comments but unless you are asking them to be your full time nanny, pay for private schooling, change all diapers and do all feelings they have NO say in our reproductive life!!
I haven't slept since Saturday. Almost a full week. Ds is very sick. Last night they took out his old IV put in another and at 3:00 am (with a fever of 103 going on 7 days) his arm started to swell. The IV leaked out of his vein and into skin!! Then to add insult to injury they did a horrendous nose swab test at 3:30 this morning with the logic he was already upset let's just get it over with!! I am so tired I could cry. TBM again last night. Insane stuff TTC a dd. Needless to say although I've been so good on diet. I am shoveling scrambled eggs in as a fast as I can! I'm 5'7" and 108 so still girls weight. I just need to eat to keep up strength with ds.

Peony, it’s just so hard to really say when you O’d…I’m always at odds w/FF b/c it often tells me I’ve O’d on a date that I really don’t think I did. I’m keeping the hope alive for you this cycle!
Sis4O - So sorry about your chemical :sadflwr: Wowzuhs!!! So sorry about DS!!! You know, I probably would be doing the same thing and try to get whatever I could up there. Are you using a Diva cup to put the stuff in? That’s what I’d do…just get something from DH in there, carefully insert and then lie down. What a great story if you conceive from this! I always seem to have some crazy conceptions so maybe it’s a good sign for you too! You are so right…those stark, white tests just kill my spirit sometimes. My wish is that none of us ever see one of those again!!! Best of :luck:…hope you catch that :pinksperm: and lots and lots of :HH: to your DS. Stay strong! BTW, 5’7” and 108?!? Eat up, girl!
Pinkin – Sending you lots of :HH: and NO AF vibes…still cheering you on :cheer:
Katie – XXXXXOOOOO:HH: :hugs: Why are our Moms like that?!? That’s kind of another reason why I want a daughter…to not make some of the mistakes my Mom has made like that and instead be supportive in my daughter’s choices b/c ultimately it’ll be her life and I will support what makes her happy.
Lynxie, Feb 6th will be here before you know it! So are you at 1dpo today then? WOOOOO-HOOOOO! Wish I had a nice 11 day LP…Mine is anywhere between 11 – 15 days. My cycles are ALWAYS a mess!
Amari, so sorry…That’s so frustrating! I’m really, REALLY hoping that you get a sneaky BFP so you don’t have to post-pone TTC. Hope your start feeling better and your belly goes down. We are always here for you so please vent away! TTC is frustrating enough but w/swaying and other roadblocks it sometimes just seems so unfair. I’m sending you lots of :HH: and good thoughts, Amari!
Girlmom – congrats on your baby boy….You are going to have SOOOOOO MUCH FUN with him!!!
Hiya H&DG! COME ON, FEBRUARY…:awe: :cheer:
Auroara – thx for the positive words about my chart. I’m afraid I’m just a bit jaded b/c I’ve had good/better ones in the past that were just epic fails. I’m hoping these next few days will move swiftly so I can just move on to Feb and get a little hope back. How are you feeling…still really sick? It must be so difficult to be so ill and working, especially at a relatively new job. I feel for you, Mama! :HH: Give that bean lots of love!
Rainbow, sending you lots of :HH:…I hope you feel better. I think your little bean is just fine…just think lots of positive thoughts if you can muster them. It might make sense to now purposefully forego temping b/c it may just stress you out. FF frequently changes my O date…sometimes even 2x. It’s kind of a given w/my chart that once I get CH, they’ll be sure to migrate. Don’t worry about your O date at all b/c you’ve had a great attempt, regardless of the date!
MJ…How’s that little bean??? How are you??? Hope you’re not too ill but still “feeling” the bean.
 to everyone else…:HH:

Aurora78, I completely get the super bond you are feeling toward that baby! If it's a boy you will be ultra protective of both him and your feelings. You'll probably even feel like he is your "special baby". At least it's how I felt with my hardest sway son. He is my little dolly. You don't love them any more than the others but you feel very protective/slightly guilty for allowing anyone(even secretly yourself) to be disappointed over his gender. I mean REALLY?? He'll be a new beautiful soul that you brought to this world. It's just a miracle and you should shut down ALL negativity now. Just do not allow it. I'm older so have learned even with my parents that they are not always right and it's a good idea to point out how flawed their thinking is. Call them all out. It will be good for everyone. Just my two cents on a half fried no sleep brain ( but still smart enough to be right about this). Still stay positive about pink but I like your thinking if blue!!

Oh, weird. Tonight I am feeling strange in my abdomen. Like, almost "I BET I'M PREGNANT!" feelings... it reminds me of early pregnancy. A kind of "heavy" feeling... can't describe it. I was nursing my son and it felt like I had a little weight in it. Have had steady cramping today, though. Like I mentioned in the 2ww thread... it's like (whispers, TMI) number two cramps!
Stupid 2ww...
I hope it's BFP, though. Then I can spend time fretting if I did enough or if my failings ruined the sway. :P

Amazing what some of the moms comments are. I happily cannot relate on this one. My mom supports whatever decision I make, and would be happy and support me either way whether I had more children, or not. The only reason she cares about the gender of my next is because I care plain and simple. This is a big part of why I desperately want a DD, I want to have the relationship she has with me, with a daughter of my own.
Auoara~ I like the way you are thinking about your little bean. Must be hard that it means so much to your mom what the gender is of the baby. I'd feel similar to you the way you are thinking about it makes so much sense.

I think 11dpo. Yes, I am having cheat days. I am not even hungry at all and I am eating like crazy anyways! My dh wanted me to gain weight anyways, so I decided to just eat whatever I want for a few days and then I still have a good 6 weeks of strict LE diet after that. Atomic said in the blue forum: " the pink swayers throw away the first batch and only use the second! If you DTD two times in succession, that will simply add more sperm into the vagina which would be GOOD for blue. Also the high pH of the semen may help max. numbers of sperm from the second batch to survive."
I'm soooo paranoid about my sway! We DTD all together 6(!!) times because I got all whigged out about my lack of positive OPKs and confused about when I was due to O but I didn't want to miss out this month.
I'm having a lot of "symptoms" (for whatever they're worth) so now I am looking at my sway in hindsight and feeling nervous!
He FR at least once a day and sometimes 3 times a day started January 8th. We DTD once the night of the 18th (he released twice before that attempt in the day), then again the morning of 19th, and then he went all day WITHOUT releasing himself and we DTD again the night of the 19th...
The 20th we DTD in the AM and at night (although now I'm starting to forget which days were what but I think that's how it went!)
Then 21st PM DTD... without any FR. During these attempts, the only FR was the first day, er, as far as I know.
The first couple of attempts I was probably just due to use repHresh so likely not in there as effectively, but put another applicator in halfway. All the while on antihistamines, etcetera.
I should just go to bed and stop analyzing! :(

Amari~ I am doing good too. I go back to my doctor on Wednesday. Each time I go for a visit we step down the steroids I am on. I started 3 a day, then 2 alternating with 3, now I am at 1 a day alternating with 2! Still healthy, so Should be off completely soon, and then have it out of my system for my attempt in February. I was so upset when I had to miss December! Then I got worse and had to miss January. In hindsight, its not such a bad thing. My plan is completely set, I did not have to be on LE through holidays etc. I think it will be the same for you. You can gain some weight back, enjoy eating a little, get your health in order and be ready for March. It won't feel so agonizing, once you've had a break! You'll have to do a ticker like mine!!

Your attempt sounds very similar to mine. We ended up dtd about 6 times because I was so scared I was going to miss my surge. We dtd twice in one day once too - I think it was the day before we were due to leave on our trip and I was worried we wouldn't get any more attempts in (though we did).
I used rephresh too, though not much - only 1/2 an applicator every 3 days, and I was using antihistamines + had been on the diet and lost all the weight I gained in my brief pregnancy and more. I've been second-guessing my sway as well, so I know how you feel. Let's try to be confident together that we did the best we could :HH:.

Hey ladies... sorry I haven't been on very much. I still have not tested. I'm feeling like this isn't my month though. I had a tiny bit of blood when I wiped earlier. I don't know what to think. I usually spot just a little the day before I actually start, so I'm just waiting to see what happens today. I forgot to add a little story from today...
This evening, my dad and I went to see my niece in her school play. It's about 45 minute drive to get to her school from where we live because my sister lives north of us. I was feeling pretty down about the tiny bit of blood from earlier, but I wasn't about to say anything to my dad about it. On the drive home we got to talking about this new baby at our church, and how sweet she is... and my dad just kept going on and on and on and on about how much he adores babies. It made me want to be pregnant so badly. I know my mom has lectured me about how having another baby would be stupid, but I know she and my dad would eventually be thrilled for us. I wish so badly I'd get a BFP now, but I can't help but think it isn't my month.

hi guys i need some help, sorry for long message but really need my ladies advice, i got 2 + opk yesterday on clearblue digital and an internet cheapie, but my cm was different to last month, it was white and stretchy but not like last month, my cervix was also not very soft i had been bloated for a few days and thought O was on its way, well i kept checking cervix and cm, and both stayed the same, went to bed and woke up my cervix is now very very low and hard, my temp has rose but my cm is still the same ???? (white globy, stretches but not loads) is this the diet thats done this to my body ? or have i not really ovulated, im so confused, i dont know what to do as next month (my first attempt) we were planning a 0+12 well i have no idea when that was this month i dont even know if i did ovulate at all, i should be starting a tablet today that will make me bleed to start clomid as i had no idea i would ovulate on my own before hand..... im so confused and very fed up as it seems my plan of a 0+12 now is slipping away, anyone any advice would be very gratefully received,
rainbowflower
January 28th, 2012, 04:44 AM
if it stretches slightly I always consider that "transitional" CM, especially if it's not clear
if I'm not sure about what to class it as, I feel it's texture between my fingers - if it's slippery, I record it as EWCM. If it's less slippery, I put it as creamy.

littlemissnaughty7
January 28th, 2012, 06:11 AM
so if i had ovulated in the night when would a 0+12 be ?
rainbowflower
January 28th, 2012, 07:07 AM
It depends on what time you ovulated... that's part of the reason why O+12 is so risky, without an ultrasound it's virtually impossible to know the exact time OV was and even then it's only if you happen to be looking at the time. some women get OV pains around OV, but even then it's hard to know if it was pain because of the ovary swelling/pain during the egg release/pain due to your internals becoming irritated afterwards. Checking CM/cervix even can't be completely relied on, because that just changes in reaction to the progesterone after OV and there's no saying exactly how long it takes for your progesterone to increase enough to start to change things because that probably varies per person and per cycle too
However, better to attempt too early than too late, at least then you still have a shot at pregnancy.

We've gotten pretty lucky, really. We've never created a bed time for him because we figured it was less stressful on everyone that he just go to sleep when he is tired and ready. In the end, when I returned to work, it happened to work out REALLY well. The day he goes to the childminder and has to be woken up early, he goes to bed early. Then weekends, he likes to stay up a little (don't we all?) and we all sleep in.
With my husband's 4 on, 4 off 12 hour shift pattern, the days he has our son, it is REALLY handy because it means he can sleep in and recoup after such a heavy shift pattern! So, sometimes he'll sleep in until 11am! 9am is quite early for his weekend standards but he went to bed neither early nor late last night.
Think I'll do the same thing with the next kiddo, taking into account all kids are different and what worked for my son may not work for another, but we'll see!

you're very lucky! how old is he?
we've tried absolutely everything with our DS from following his lead at bedtime, late set bedtime, early set bedtime... lots of naps in the day, less naps in the day, lots of food... it took us absolutely ages to get him to sleep in a good block of sleep but 5am is wake-up time almost every day!
I figure we've had our lot of a baby being difficult with our DS, and that the next one is bound to be easier lol

Rainbow Our d/s was such a good baby but from the day he was born until 6 months old would feed EVERY 2 or 3 Hrs he would sleep in between... But anyway we never got full night sleep from him until he was 2 and I had him toilet trained just before his second bday and he has never worn a night nappy so all of sudden he was sooo easy!! Hes such a good boy I dont think we will get another one like him ... He wakes between 6.30 and 7. May wake on the odd night for toilet or a drink but not often... Doubt you can have 2 good kids hey??

He just turned 2! He's always been a complete pleasure, with his sleep, his temperament... he's been a dream boy! No wonder we want a second kid so bad! From day one he's been marvelous.
Even in newborn stage, even with being up to breastfeed, I guess my attitude towards understanding that newborns wake up to eat because their digestion is so fast and efficient made it feel less stressful to me. No lie, I was sleepy, but I was never stressed out. I just rolled with it... went with the flow... maybe that rubbed off on him. We also babywore until he was too heavy to do it constantly, so I think that helped in his first year with his calm, cool, contentment. Don't know, though!
And like you say, we've had it SO SO SO easy with him, our second is bound to make us think twice before ever having a third. :P We shall see!

If our d/s went to bed at 11pm he would still wake at 6.30am or 7.. Hes really placid too and was from the day he was born... I coped really well with the disturbed sleep when he was little... and could function strangely well during the day with that!
I just didn't think he would still be waking every 2-3hrs at 11 months! it only really improved at 12 months when I night-weaned him (he now gets BF right before bed, and first thing in the morning and that's it) but even now nothing will persuade him to wake up later than 5am unless he's ill. He's 13.5 months now.
he had a dummy briefly; at first it worked a treat and he'd suck it and go straight to sleep... but then he started to wake up when it would fall out overnight (every 10mins or so was his worst) so we confiscated that and went cold turkey and he learnt to drift off without it... but not without me being there and/or offering him boobs to comfort-suck on.
We tried the Baby Whisperer's shh/pat and pick up/put down multiple times (I'm stronger willed than he is and I never back down so as to give mixed messages, but even then he never learnt to self-settle). Even if the baby whisperer's techniques would work for a few days (i.e., still with me having to go in to settle him) it wasn't long before he would teethe or be ill and go back to square one and he never learnt to just go to sleep on his own despite all my persistence... and even then, patting and shhing is still a "prop", isn't it? I think I spent over 6 months trying to comfort him to sleep like that.
EVENTUALLY we caved and decided to try controlled crying... that didn't work well either, it wouldn't comfort him when we went back in, he would just scream harder to try and get us to pick him up.
So all in all it's been quite a stressful year! Plus a more tired baby means a more grizzly one during the day... ever since he's started sleeping in longer blocks since we night-weaned it's like he's a different baby! He's so happy and content now, most of the time :D

They're all so different, aren't they? I'll still feed him at night but it's usually only once now or not at all. I didn't try any sleeping techniques. I must just be way too relaxed about not being in control, or something! I just went along with his ebbs and flows! I'm so odd, but it worked out. Sure, there was the odd night where I KNEW he was super tired and just needed to fall asleep, but usually those times were complicated by having other things going on (a bigger awareness about the world around him, teething, etcetera) so I just let go and went with it.
Babies, they can never be predicted! They are their own little beings and they'll do whatever they do! Us parents probably learn as much as them simultaneously! :)

Heck yeah!! I did. This past cycle, I didn't even feel like ovulated, Diet has tremendously reduced my PH (3.8-5.5<-- OV). When I tested on CD 13 (usually testing 4x/day), got a +opk, on 2nd test. had lots of EWCM, that day. 10 HOURS later, I hardly had any EWCM. next day (CD 14) I was a sticky/dry. is it possible I did not OV? or ovulated within 10 hours of the +opk (which is complete opposite of when I had boys. days leading up to OV and OV day, LOts of EWCM, Sex drive was high, OV pain).
I do have the CB digital OPK though. So next cycle I will test with 2 different kinds. I hear the regular sticks are good, because lines get darker AS you get CLOSER to OV and start to fade as OV ends, I think. Any recommended brands, from Target or CVS??

HAHAHA! I did the SAME thing! I'd wake up and get him from his moses basket, unbelievably sleepy, and feed him while BBC 24 hour news was on so I could see sort of what time I started and stopped and also to keep me awake, then I'd get him all nicely tucked back into his moses basket when he was done... and go back to bed, only to jump straight awake from a deep sleep and COMPLETELY forgot that I even put him back to bed and thought he was still attached to me or under the blankets suffacating.... only to look at the end of the bed and see he was nicely tucked in and having zero memory of it. It was craaaaazy!

I remember once I was dreaming that I was breastfeeding (I guess that's normal given how much time we spend doing it in the first few months!) and DS was crying in real life... Sorry, Katie, but amari said it very well. You're feeling discouraged right now, but remember that veeery few women get pregnant the first time, and that's when they're not doing things to make it harder to get pregnant like we swayers do! Give yourself a couple of cheat days before you decide whether or not to wait a long time before you try again. Personally, I found it easier to keep going - the diet gets easier the longer you're on it. My first time around it was 4 months before I got my BFP (so 5.5 months on the diet), and this time I lucked out and got pregnant my second time trying after my m/c. I hope you feel better soon :HH:.

My DS1 is exactly the same way. A sweetheart. I have great sleepers too. As a toddler even he would go to his room to try to climb in his crib for a nap. DS2 is similar (not as easy as DS1, but still easy). At night they both brush their teeth, go potty, and get in their beds. It takes 2 minutes. Friends cannot believe it. So your not doomed to have 2nd kids that aren't as easy!

Hah! My son LOVES brushing his teeth! I guess what did it was I always went, "Ooookay... EEEEEEEEE!!!" And he'd flash his front teeth and go, "EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" so I could brush the front, and then I'd go, "Okay... ready? AHHHHHHHHH!!!!" and then he'd go, "AHHHHHH!!!" and open his mouth and I would do all his back ones... wash, rinse, repeat, then I'd hand him the tooth brush (not let him run around with it) and he'd attempt to follow my prompts himself. hi guys i need some help, sorry for long message but really need my ladies advice, i got 2 + opk yesterday on clearblue digital and an internet cheapie, but my cm was different to last month, it was white and stretchy but not like last month, my cervix was also not very soft i had been bloated for a few days and thought O was on its way, well i kept checking cervix and cm, and both stayed the same, went to bed and woke up my cervix is now very very low and hard, my temp has rose but my cm is still the same ???? (white globy, stretches but not loads) is this the diet thats done this to my body ? or have i not really ovulated, im so confused, i dont know what to do as next month (my first attempt) we were planning a 0+12 well i have no idea when that was this month i dont even know if i did ovulate at all, i should be starting a tablet today that will make me bleed to start clomid as i had no idea i would ovulate on my own before hand..... im so confused and very fed up as it seems my plan of a 0+12 now is slipping away, anyone any advice would be very gratefully received,
I would go more with temp being reliable (as long as you slept at least 4hrs, and took it at about the same time) over CM. CM and cervial position can be totally unreliable. If you had a temp shift you may have O'd. Do you use FF to track, this helps tremendously. I really do not think you can be comparing CM from month to month. Way to difficult to remember exactly how stretchy or lotion like CM was.
Are you set on 0+12? I don't think timing matters AT ALL and if its raising your T thats worse then having timing that is exactly where you want it. IMO: I would read the threads on 0+ vs. cutoff.

Heh, oh no. He just works in a call centre/customer services for a company that sorts out other companies/business car rental/business vehicle problems, i.e. if they need to get towed. HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE. Cracks me up... but his previous job was working for a what's on music/theatre guide in the UK. He worked there for 12 years and he NEVER had a pay rise. When we got married, priorities changed, and he moved on. Music is his life so he does a website and music reviews and puts on gigs now instead, while working at this current job.

IMO: I would read the threads on 0+ vs. cutoff.
I wish I had temped... I didn't think much of it so never bought the things (BBT thermometer thing, etcetera) to do it. I WISH I HAD, though! :(
I hope I managed to find ovulation on intuition and checking CM/CP, though, since those cheapie internet OPK's didn't work like I thought they would! The pregnancy ones were always fine for me. :(

I am just trying to work out my attempt for march.. If i start the diet again today it will be 6 weeks on it I will be due to o around the 23rd of march. I am not having d/h F/R this time because He is not supportive of the swaying thing anymore he did so well this time around but we both got so stressed about it. He doesnt believe in any of it and gets angry now when i mention swaying I have to some how do this diet without him knowing!!! HOW????? He will not be happy to see i am on the diet again . Anyway with my march attempt I am aiming for dtd on o day. I will get d/h ( without him knowing my plans) to releaseday before o and then I will release d/h day of o but then couple of hr later will say OH KNOW i am ovulating!! sneaky arent I!! So will dtd .. But do you think i should dtd twice over o??? I will be using Rephresh, Or should i just leave it at once on o?

Ugh, this is some serious pain. Where in the hell did this come from? It's pretty excruciating. I'm getting a little annoyed now! I can't sit upright. I've taken paracetamol/tylenol... :( Owwwwww. I must have lifted my son funny or something.
ouch sounds yucky...

Got ya! Too funny he's dealing with all the problems and doesn't drive himself!! Great he still does what he really loves on the side...
Pink~ I would do another attempt. With everything else you have will be doing to lower sperm count another time dtd won't add to much more sperm. I've read and read and read on this bc I was set on a one time attempt, but I no longer think it will weaken my sway to add a few attempts. If I can find one of the threads I will post it for you to read. I think you need to up your chances of a BFP especially after all the hard work and having to do it on the sly!

My 2 cents: If you are hell-bent on using Represh, I would definitely do more than one attempt.
My Nov. attempt with rephresh plus one BD = BFN. I think Rephresh definitely makes it challenging for those swimmers, so up to you, but if you ONLY want one attempt, I'd stick to no rephresh and maybe just a J&D? or even just one attempt and Zyrtec to dry up any CM?
And Katie, I'm sorry about pre AF bleeding and 13 dpo BFN :( I hope you can get another attempt in soon, I hope you don't take months off, but you gotta do what's right for you and your family, though I hope this doesn't set you back off NOT ttc'ing....you have such lovely, cute and cuddly looking sons! You should keep going and join the other fine ladies who are going to attempting in Feb! Or join Pinkin in March.

agree, I think with RepHresh it's a good idea to have multiple attempts. I don't think it in itself prevents a pregnancy, but I do notice less CM when I use it and wonder if it forms a slight barrier across the cervix. I certainly wouldn't use it along with an antihistamine, but I know some very fertile women can still get pregnant with using both!
Pinkin - you can start temping whenever you like! it's probably best to start about a week before OV. I tend to start once AF has gone. For most women, temping doesn't tell you WHEN you will OV, it only shows if you have or not. To confirm you have, you need to have 3 higher temps so really it can only confirm OV when you're 3dpo. However, some (like me) usually get a drop in temps for 1-3 days before OV so that can be a sign that OV is imminent. It's sensible to do it for at least one cycle because then you can practice it and see what a normal pattern for you looks like!

I used both, though my use of rephresh was sparing (1/2 tube every 3 days, and my last application was 3 days before O). We also had about 6 attempts, so that's probably what got me my BFP.

that's interesting to know! I used a whole tube 2 days before OV, and 3 had 3 attempts following it.. so I hope that was enough! didn't use antihistamines, though (didn't need to as I didn't have much CM) but don't know if I'll get a BFP from it

Yikes! I used both repHresh AND antihistamines... ha!
I've always gotten pregnant first month, though, so I did want to go all out in the first month... and we did have 6 attempts, two of them in between repHresh (i.e. it was 4 days since the previous use) and then I used a full applicator again because I got nervous, in the middle of the attempt!
Hope that didn't mess us up!

if you got pregnant first month before I'd say you're very fertile so could potentially get away with it!
for me, it was 2nd cycle each time (well, technically 3rd for one of them but I was still spotting after my MC and I don't actually think I could have conceived that month) ... I know actually that's quite good in the scheme of things, but we're not super-fertile!

My husband is older, though (37, versus 34/35 when we conceived my son, my how time flies!)... so who knows, but he's very healthy, though has an ale gut! Haha! :)
I know when I got pregnant with my son in hindsight when I looked back, because I was post my second miscarriage, still waiting for my period to return... we went on holiday to Bruges (so we were eating chocolate, gorgeous belgian waffles, cheese, fat fat faty fatness food, and I was drinking belgian fruit beers and I DO NOT like alcohol!)... I had some brown spotting (must have been ovulation but I thought it was my period finally returning!) and so we DTD unprotected that day... *durrrrr*
Less than a month later, I woke up ill and lamented my period hadn't returned yet, oh woe is me. :P Then I put two and two together, of course.

awww, that's a much nicer way to get a BFP - I had the worst experience I've had so far TTC after my MC. Each 2ww my body would torment me with strong pregnancy symptoms thanks to being more sensitive to progesterone... and each time AF turned up (so, twice) it sent me deeper into depression. My editor (a lovely middle aged gay man) actually guessed I was pregnant before I told anyone (didn't tell them until 16 weeks) I think because he noticed that I was less depressed -all my colleagues knew about my loss, of course, so probably assumed we'd be trying again!

Miscarriages are awful. :( I am also, whenever I get a BFP again, will be very cautiously optimisitic because it took me two goes to get my son! But my two miscarriages happened when I worked in a neonatal unit in Manchester... crazy, long hours, a lot of heavy work (I'm not a nurse or anything but I was still in the thick of it all) and a long time of travel distance. As soon as I switched to my current job in a nearby hospital, which is a desk job mostly and just under the edge of full-time, I got pregnant with my son within a month of working there.
So, hopefully, I don't experience loss again, but no one is safe from it. It happens. It's hard. I wish it didn't, but even so, it's a wonder our bodies manage to get it right so often considering it is a very complex process.

Good morning from the east coast. So we're still in Children's Hospital. Ds (3) on day nine of fevers over 103. Some insane virus is just attacking him. It's even more challenging because although incredibly sweet and gentle he is PDD-NOS and can't tell us what hurts. As a side effect they did discover an ear infection last night. They've pretty much ruled out Kawasaki Disease but we weren't so sure for a number of days. Another couple of days and they'll need to check his heart if fevers persist. On top of that the one yr old at home is now sick!!
O.k., On to TTC info. Last month was chemical. Been on diet, weight is 109 today. I am5'7". Been on baby aspirin, folic acid and loads of diet coke with gallons of Equal( I know ....bad). These last nine days in hospital diet has been very hard to follow. Barely leave room. Good news almost ate nothing ( or slept at all....again bad). Started testing with Opk's cd 8 negs. forever. started to fade to positive early last week. Dh was doing fr all month. Started dtd last Wednesday. Got super positive opk in hospital on following Tuesday. Didn't want to reverse all the work I'd done. Started TBM All week( again, seriously?? Is this what I've become). Now on to real question. My chest kills!! My Opk's will not turn back to negative. Super dark double lines. So annoyed. Did I not really O? Is my body still trying?? Dtd is impossible in here. TBM is stupidly( real word?) hard but manageable,I've also been diligent with Rephresh, small amounts of Replens and Sylk. What is your thought on what is up with my body and opk business?
Sorry so long but need help and a vent

true, noone is safe from it... I think I'll be scared next time too, but want to try and enjoy pregnancy more than I did with my DS. Don't know how easy that'll be. Ladies who can get through pregnancy without all that fear are so lucky, really - neither of my pregnancies were like that and I really think once you've had one MC your enjoyment of pregnancy is tainted for life.

I'd do a pregnancy test in your position, OPKs can pick up pregnancy hormone, so perhaps you're pregnant!

Totally agree! I used to be one of those carefree women - I sailed through a high risk twin pregnancy (with which I got pregnant the first month we were actively trying), and also sailed through my pregnancy with ds3. I was one of those people who assumed miscarriages happened to 'other people'. My perspective has certainly changed now, and I've been on edge this whole pregnancy, and likely will be until I'm holding a healthy baby in my arms.
I'm so sorry for ALL of you who've had to experience a loss. It's awful. :HH:

I hear you on that one. :(
My mom bought me one of those little fetal heart monitors to try to keep me optimistic with my son. I hadn't yet heard his heartbeat with the midwife and I didn't get an ultrasound at 12 weeks as per protocol because I had an early one at nearly 9 weeks due to cramping and getting paranoid, so I had a long wait between that and 20 weeks. I had the fetal monitor when I was around 16 weeks and I gave it a try and found him, which helped, and I couldn't stop listening and hearing his heartbeat move away from the monitor simultaneously that I felt a little movement was amazing stuff. By the 20 week scan, after I had that, I was starting to feel okay finally. And having worked in the neonatal unit, I kept thinking if I got past 24 weeks, if anything were to happen, I know there are amazing people out there that can help.
Luckily, that was a bit melodramatic, but you cannot help but think that way!

Mocha - I guess you don't think about it if you don't hear anyone talking about it! I was posting on a forums even before TTC and there were ladies on there who were experiencing multiple MCs (some had had 8+) so I was aware of it from the start. Sometimes more information is not a good thing, even though I probably learnt a lot about temping, and fertility from that forums!
I think from the moment I got my first ever BFP I was excited but instantly petrified too because I was scared that the thing I wanted so much would be taken away from me. I got my little baby with me, connected, in there for 11 weeks in the end (almost 13weeks pregnant when we found out about the loss), and knowing he/she existed for just over 9 weeks... I feel grateful for that time even though it wasn't long enough. That was still our special first baby! Without that loss, we could never have had our precious DS, our rainbow baby... and can't imagine life without him.

OMG my doppler was a lifesafer! we first heard DS at nearly 10 weeks and it was amazing! listened right before my dating scan because I needed to hear that he/she was alive and that I wouldn't be going in to see a motionless baby on the screen again.
I also kept setting targets to reach in order to feel safer, but there's always a new one, isn't there?
will you use the doppler next time?
