Inglewood the acidophilus that you were taking was it in a gelatine capsual? I got some stronger ones from H&B but they are in gelatine caps I have just been emptying out the contents but it's such a PITA so have got a bit slack at taking them.
But if I drop or really cut down the cranberry then then I will use acidophilus to get my ph down instead.
Deaks did you drop cranberry for baby asprin?

hi ladies :)
I'm sorry i'm not around much at the moment, i'm so tired in the evenings i end up going straight to bed after the boys lol i'm so much fun at the moment :p Serena is 2 weeks today and I have now officially started to wean off my blood pressure medication. I've got the health visitor coming out this afternoon to see baby S, been so long since i saw a health visitor i have no idea what to expect from her visit lol
hope you're all doing well! i love catching up on your posts :)
homebirthingprincess ~ love the pictures!!!
Deaks ~ I think that sounds like a good idea! if i was swaying and decided to stop the diet i would still continue with the aci gel/replens at least. are you doing o+12 this month?
Lavenderlime ~ how frustrating for you! but great news it isn't an etopic!!
Inglewood ~ have you bought much pink yet? :)
Indigoviolet ~ happy to hear you're feeling sickly again! nothing more reassuring really is there :p
Zanacal ~ how are you enjoying your pregnancy? have you bought much pink yet?
Maybebaby ~ how are you doing? haven't seen you on here for a while, hows your bp? have you got everything sorted now for your bubs arrival?
Charlieispy ~ how are you managing the school run in this cold weather? i was about to freeze to death this morning, -5c!! brr!!

Afternoon all!
Nini, i do hope you are in the process of defrosting right now with some heating and hot water!! How on earth people managed years ago i do not know...i think they were probably much hardier than we are now! I tend to get my lh surge cd 16 at the earliest and cd2o at the latest. Much less stressed about things this month (my psoriasis really got me down last month on top of christmas etc) so hoping that will mean i ov on the earlier side...have noticed that tends to happen with me :) Oh and good idea to recalibrate your hanna....mine seems to need doing twice a month. I usually do it a few days after af and then again just before ov. It has always jumped a little.
Lavender, yes i did drop cranberry for a month or two and took baby asperin instead but have started taking cranberry instead this month as noticed my ph was a bit higher last month. Will stop at ov obviously and may start taking a baby asperin every few days at that point instead. I hope it was the cranberry causeing the bleeding for you as that will be easy to rectify. Or even better, perhaps it was ov. Was it hard missing your attempt?
Hi everyone else....do hope all bumps behaving themselves!

Hi sunset, im not surprised you are shattered...you have been through a lot on top of having a new baby to look after. Yes im doing o+12 and probably o+14 or 16 too. Thats seemed to work in october :) Am on a semi diet now.... dont want to be fully on it anyway anymore (a year is enough!) but trying not to eat the real naughties etc. When i ditch o+12 next month, as well as using acigel, would you think sudafed a good idea too? I would think the combination would almost replicate o+12 in some kind of way???

My mum had two boys that died and she always talked about how much she wanted a son. I think that where my desire for a mixed gender family comes from as it was very much part of my childhood. Luckily my sons will not have experience as I would never talk about it in front of them.
I was actually thinking about this the other day and I think you have a fair point! my mum has always told me how much she wanted me to be a girl and how much she always longed for a daughter and how happy she is she got "her girl" and how she never even thought of a boys name when she was pregnant with me because she was hoping for a girl etc etc and i honestly think the fact that she's always been so open with her gender desire is one of the reasons why i had such a strong gender desire after ds2. it didn't help that hubbys mother always talks openly about her gender disappointment when she had my dh. it was so bad she developed PND and had to send him to stay with other family members for a while and she always jokes about how she wanted him to be a girl.. and i think other people being so open with their feelings contributes sometimes, especially my own mother during my childhood. everyone i've ever been around has had that strong desire for a daughter. I know my great grandmother had 3 boys and she always hoped for a girl, and then my mother has always spoke openly how she hoped i would be a girl and then MIL has never been shy to show her preference for a granddaughter. So yes, it's my mission not to speak about these things in front of my children!!

if you are going to bd through ov i definitely think sudafed is a good idea since it will help get rid of some of the ewcm and aci gel will help keep ph low :) I think you've done so well to have been on the diet for a year! you are amazing and so deserve your pink bfp!! :cheer:

I totally agree sunset. everyone in my family for generations have always had a boy followed by a girl and i definately think thats where my gd comes/came (not sure how i feel at the moment) from. I definately think thats why i was disappointed for several days when i found out ds2 was a boy.... as though he was 'meant' to be a girl because thats what happens in my family. Even my mum commented on how she had the perfect setup... and she is so sweet i know she didnt mean to make me feel bad but its just what everyone in my family has! Obviously i disagreee now. i love having two the same gender! Oh and i will make sure i NEVER make any gender comments to my kids too!

Sorry if I forget people I'm running on empty at the moment,
HomeBirth princess your cupcakes are brilliant! Well done :) I like the end result of baking! Not so sure about the making them part lol I hate the cleaning I know I have to do after!
Sunset so pleased to hear your recovering well if a little tired! Hope you find your camera!
Lavender Actually that's reminded me I need to send a litter to the solicitor, I did hear from Ysl but they wanted me to send the product for them to test, I've been advised against that, it should be independently tested, I've still got very sensitive skin from it, and even now have a red mark under one eye where it was most effected! And this is 4 months on.
Had a day from hell today, got all stressed and ended up crying at my college tutor about it all, I'm having to give up work because it's just way too much pressure along with running a house, caring for two children, being pregnant and college, I feel like I'm not giving my all to anything and am under too much pressure. Plus oh's having to look for a new job, the company have decided to charge for private miles which will mean paying out atleast £400 per month just getting him to and from work everyday as his work is 50+ miles away!
Just need to try and relax, my bp must be sky high today! :(

Hi girls.
Bp is creeping ever upwards but what will be will be. It's 86 and I go to hospital at 90. Not too concerned as who knows I might be ok and go over due.
Had my nct class on Saturday and feel so excited now!!! Also feel like I am going explode like a secne from alien! Dave is kicking the life out of me!
Not sure if I said but took ds1 to the 02 last week the Olympic gymnastic trails. He loved it! He is lovely company, love this age.
Lavender I had mid cycle spotting once and found out by chance I have a polyp in my womb. That has too come out after dave pops out. If it keeps on happening might be worth asking for a scan x

Thank you Indigo, I've just orderd them it didn't say online if they contain any gelatine but you got your girls using them so i'm not too worried!
Deaks mine are from Tesco the dose is 0ne-four a day, one tab 200mg is 5000.mg of fresh fruit equivalent.
I can't even remember now how much cranberry fruit equivalent your ment to take with IG now. Was I taking too much?
Kell you poor thing you certainly have a lot on. Hope you get to relax soon and yout OH finds a new job closer to home.
I hope you get the YSL thing sorted out. Where would you send it for independant testing?
Thank you Maybe I will def ask for a scan if it persists. They are reluctant to do much about it at the moment as it could be so many things. I've had checks for thyroid levels in the last 8 months or so and sexual health checks because I had erratic AF for a few month lack of rather than frequent. The only thing I haven't had is a smear but no point having one whilst i'm TTC the dr. didn't mention that I should have one either.
Well better pop boys in the bath and get them ready to go to pre-school later.
Hope you all have a lovely day , is it all frosty where you all are? Bring on Summer I say!

Littlemisswilko ~ it’s probably just the pregnancy hormones. I hope you feel better soon! ((hugs))
Charlieispy ~ my dh has had 2 weeks paternity leave, only went back to work yesterday. fx the headaches don’t return! And awwww how lovely with little kicks!! Enjoy every minute of it!! :HH:
Deaks ~ interesting. I wonder how big part decongestants play in a sway? I took decongestants daily the week of ov.
Lavenderlime ~ ask me in a few weeks time :p at the moment there’s no routine at all, and it’s total chaos constantly but i love it! It’s getting easier everyday and i think little lady is going to fit right into our daily routine without a problem :)
Kell ~ you sound stressed hun :( sending you a virtual hug! It’s not easy being pregnant and looking after 2 little ones so i can’t imagine what it must be like to work on top of that and do college as well.. it’s alot! Hope you feel better soon x
Inglewood ~ hope your tummy feels better soon! And good luck with the car viewing, how exciting!
Maybebaby ~ I love your positive attitude! Fx your bp doesn’t go above 90 so you don’t have to go into hospital!! Keep us posted! 32 weeks, you haven’t got long left to go now :)
Babymad ~ hi hun, how are you feeling these days? Has the morning sickness eased off?

Sunset, lovely pics!! Thanks for sharing them with us! xx
Charlie, hope dh behaves himself soon. That's the last thing u need.
Maybe, take care, hope Bp does creep up anymore.
Deaks, I couldn't take the decongestants, made me so blocked up I couldn't sleep right and dh was going off his head with my snoring!! lol
Well, Car was a disaster!! They didn't bother to tell us about 3 kinna major prob's with it and although they said the would be fixed, it put us off! We drove 50 miles for nowt! Went to another garage we saw the same car, about 40 miles away again and the car was sold!!!!!! We tried calling them before we went but no answer, so we thought we'd chance it! Damn, a wasted day!!!! Felt alot better today, maybe a wee bug yest?? Spd getting worse, buut otherwise ok.
However, tomorrow is MY 4D SCAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Taking boys sledging (well, Dh is, I get to watch and take pics) then to scan, to choose a prez for each baby them for tea some place nice. And they have NO idea!! Can't wait to see their wee faces tom, gonna keep each thing a surprise, keep them guessing what we're up to. Had to hand in a sneaky note to teachers about absence... so excited for them!!! and me to have more reassurance!!
Hope ur all well? Will be home late, but will post some pics and fill you in when I am home.

Hi lavender, has the bleeding stopped? there are no geletin in those acidiohilus as i ordered the same ones as inglewood :)
Also IG states 1500-10000 fresh fruit equivalent of cranberry supps so if you are taking 5000 x 4 you may be taking to much though i have noticed i am taking the same amount and i dont have any problems...but then we are all different so perhaps drop down to 2 per day?

Sunset, omg such gorgeous pics...you look amazing and little serena is just gorg!!! Oh and think i might take decongestants daily...did you go the zyrtec or sudafed route? If so just one per day?
Inglewood, not sure what time your scan was but im so excited for you and hope you can post some pics! Jealous that you guys are able to go sledging (well your boys anyway!)
Charlie, glad the headache has subsided! Loving the popcorn baby kicks!
My ph is 3.8. Think i may have to relax some supps but then i dont know, perhaps its a good thing its this low now as i could bd through ov or at least not be so worried about timing.
Inglewood how quickly did your ph increase when you went from 3 to 2 acidiphilus? and how much did it increase by?
Getting excited about next weeks attempt. Not bothering to do opks early or stick them down on paper.... all a bit rediculous after a yerar of doing it. Not taking temp daily either and feeling much more normal again.

Deaks Bleeding has stopped now so I would say it was 3.5 days of spotting altogether. So not long enough to be an early period I don't think and didn't get heavy at all but enough to need a panty liner. FX it was Ovulation spotting and nothing to worry about.
I like your layed back approach this month. With a PH that low and antihistamines I would def BD through OV but I'm not a great believer in timing or it would be really easy to get yur DG if it was just that simple. I have to say it was nice not using OPK's this month.
Great news about no gelatine in the sups and looks like they have worked for you too with such a great PH!

My dh is being a saint at the moment. Really looking after me and found us a cleaner. Hopefully she will come next week but oh the shame of her seeing our pig sty lifestyle! I feel really lucky as he is sweet and kind and a great dad, just wish he had some money sense too!
I am still working up to 38 weeks! Making lots of mistakes now and slowing down in productivity. Good job I'm not a brain surgoen!
Indigo you still look modal thin to me! I'm sure the slimmer you are the sooner you show so it's all really good news baby is growing more.
Inglewood I am hankering after a new car but will resist. I have a zafria but it's old now so the middle seat has a lap belt so I don't like using that one. My childminder has a grand voyager which looks great. Oh for a two seater sports car!

Oh im so glad the bleeding has stopped! Have you been temping? has there been a rise to show that ov has definately taken place?
Im still not sure about bding through ov...think i will stick to o+12 this month as planned and then maybe next month...eek! But if ph stays low, at least i wont have to fret about doing it slightly to early :)

thanks hon, I guess it is good but I do really feel enormous and one of my running friends (who is used to seeing me in lycra (!) did guess yesterday based on my hugeness....I wouldn't mind but I'm so scared of telling people before I know all is OK at the 12 week scan.
Praying your bp stays at a sensible level. I'm so impressed at how long you are working, really takes some effort to keep going so long. Great that your DH is being super dad/husband at the mo, just what you need, long may he keep it up! see you soon :HH:

Hi all, what an exhausting day!
Didn't get sledging :( since the schools aren't off it was closed till tea time.....gutted for them (thankffully they didn't know). So we went to a HUGE crazy golf place and they LOVED it!! Followed by Burger King where we told them about the scan! They we so excited! Went to the scan and she said straight away twin 2 was a GIRL! she was lying on top of twin 1!! lol who was squashed into my placenta (poor wee soul). She then said both GIRLS!!!!! and we got an 8min dvd, Cd of pics, and 2 colour A4 pics, one of each baby. Although twin 1 was covering her face with her arm alot. Dh wasn't impressed to part with £122 for what we saw (only in 20mins) but I got my better comfirmation of GIRLS and the boys loved it, so to me it was worth it!! She said they look healthy and I will post the pics from the CD tomorrow as I'm knackered!
After the scan the boys choose a mini build a bear for them and an outfit, they choose some games etc with their xmas money, then out for Dinner! So a wonderful day!
Sorry this is an all about my day post, but really need to get boys school stuff ready then off to bed.....
Will catch up tom and hope ur all well? xx

Hi everyone - just jumping back in as I've been poorly with a sickness bug. I've managed to catch one each pregnancy and thought I'd got away with it this time but no, it was awful and I've never been so sick - and DH wasn't here so the boys had to pretty much look after themselves!! Feeling more normal today, just left with a cough which is very painful because I've pulled all my tummy muscles! Nice quiet day at home with DS3 methinks :D

Morning!!
Deaks, glad ur feeling a better about attempt and things are going well? Is it this weekend ur attempt? or beg next wk?
Lavender, so glad the bleeding has stopped! Had u take the same cranberry strength before?? I had to half my initial dose due to low ph, but worth keeping an eye on. x
Indigo, wish i could fit into lycra!! Even pre-pg! Good for you runnning, last time I went on a 'running' spree I was off work for 6wks with sciatica and had to get intensive pysiotherapy, lost alot of weight running, but never again! You must be chuffed to see ur wee bump coming on...reassuring!
Hello to everyone else!!! :)
Ok what do u ladies think.....names for the :twins: Aubergines today!!!
We have decided to call the Girls Ruby and Amber. (I loved Ruby, which is a precious stone and Dh likes Amber also being a precious stone, so they seem to match well).

Inglewood love, love the name Ruby had it on the list for ds2. Amber is also beautiful and I don't know any Ruby or Ambers in RL (appart from childhood friends). Have you told everyone the babies are girls now? I bet everyone was really excited for you!
I've been taking the same brand of cranberry since Oct and the same dose....
Zanacal you poor thing. I've never had a sickness bug must be awful, hope your feelling better have a lovely Sofa day with ds3.
Deaks no I didn't temp this month or use OPK's as wasn't TTC so just wanted a month off so no real clue when I ovulated I would have thought between Cd 12-16 I guess i'll gave a better idea when AF arrives next week. I also read that mid cyle bleeding can be a sign of not ovulating.... I hope not.
Got the worst cold full blown cotton wool head, headaches, running nose, sneezing the lot. DP had a cold too but I have it about 10 fold and it's lasting twice as long and the boys haven't got one at all?! It's normally the other way around. lol

Aah, Inglewood, they're such sweet names! I have a neice called Ruby (and it was on my list before I did!) and we've considered Amber in the past too :D How will you decide which you call which - does the first one out get one name and the second the other?!
Thanks for the get well wishes. Yesterday the baby was so active and it was really reassuring but she was going really crazy - then it occured to me that it was probably the lucozade having that effect!!

Our journey has been a long one with lots of heart ache a long the way so I am pleased that my family is now complete but the sadness and longing never get any easier, how do you live with that forever, the last 8 years has been hard enough :( I just wish I didn't feel the way I do...how many times can you grieve for the DD that never was/ or was taken from you

Beautiful pics sunset! :) How are the boys enjoying their sister?
I have stopped being sick now which is great, still don't feel great most days and very tired with being anaemic but defo better than I was xx

Gosh so much to catch up on in just one day or so! We have had some poorlyness in our household so struggled to get on propery yesterday.
Feeling sorry for all you ladies either feeling yucky or stressed. Babymad, Kell and littlemiss i hope things improve very soon!
Maybe hows your Bp??
Much love to you all X
Great PH Deaks :)
GL with your attempt! x

Inglewood – ruby and amber are great names and go together really well.
Sunset – fantastic piccies. You look great! And bless Serena is gorgeous… I love newborns! They are just so magical.
Deaks – relaxing all the opking and temping will make this next attempt so much more enjoyable. Relaxing is good. With DS1 and DS2 I fell pregnant during/after a holiday… so relaxing must help! Fingers crossed it will lead to your BFP…
Zanacal – hope you feel better soon!
Babymad - I agree with Lavender - maybe finding out will help. I have been feeling stressed out that this baby is a boy. I am finding out in 2 weeks. After all my nub guesses being boy I have decided it is a boy and I was really down for a while. I then spent some time discussing boys names with DH and I have to say... I started to feel much brighter. I know I still haven't come to terms with the idea of never having a girl but I will deal with that in the future...
Well I had my first appointment at the hospital. Seen the midwife once but saw the doc today. I like my doctor – a good looking and very friendly man Ended up being at the hospital for 4 hours! Thank god its holidays and the boys were at home with DH. First the doc wanted to do a smear. Then he organised a blood test and a 24 urine test (I have an ongoing kidney prob)… more waiting. Then he wants to do 2 weekly scans until 24 weeks. I had surgery on my cervix and as DS1 was a 35weeker he wants to watch me. So I had to hang about and get squeezed in for a cervical length scan today… more waiting. I DESPERATELY wanted to ask what the gender is… but couldn’t really as I was being squeezed in and she was super fast! Ahhh just another 2 weeks of waiting!!!! I have another piccie of bub though :D All these extra appointments with the boys will be so much fun!!!
Anyways – we’re off camping at the beach on Saturday so I’ll be off here for a few days.
Good luck to any attempters!!!

Babymad, sorry to hear ur feeling down. The others may be right about the scan? That's why I had to know, as waiting till they came would of cracked me up inside and Dh would of been close to killing me! He admitted he couldn't of lived with my emotions if we didn't know. I wish there was something I could say to help, but you will know the right thing to do, waiting or not. :) HUGS xx
Pinga, I've had alot of treatment on my cervix over the years, very unpleasant and hence why I can't give birth vaginally!
Enjoy ur camping and 2 wks is not long till u know! x Yeah for ur sweet potato!!!! Thought my pg was zooming fast, they all seem to be!
Lavender, might not be the cranberry then? but might be worth thinking about, do u take aspirin too? We don't know any Ruby's or Amber's either, so hoping till April no-one has a baby locally that we know with those names!
Z, Wow! 25th Feb, my mum's b'day, so won't forget, so exciting!!! trying to upload 4d pics to my photobucket with no joy! Won't give up!!! We have decided as we choose the name Ruby 1st, whatever baby comes out 1st gets Ruby! 2nd baby Amber. The boys choose lovely wee mini build a bears for them, ds not too enthusiastic to be putting the wee dress he choose on the bear, typical 9yr old boy!! but ds2 was loving it!!!! he'll be playing with dolls for sure!!
We have told family and friends now, but haven't FB it yet, my mum wants to get a hold of a few people before then, so I will do it eventually! Everyone so happy for us, it's lovely. The shock of 2 babies was alot for us both to take in and still is, but abit easier to take in knowing it's girls. Esp with them being identical twins, either boys or girls would of been a new experience for us, but I do feel very lucky, although won't 100% let myself believe it till they are here in my arms.

i also agree with the girls Babymad, that you should maby think about going for a sexing scan. just to put yourself at ease with the whole situation instead of obsessing over it! i thought the way petal went around it and had a sexing scan without her dh knowing was definitely a good idea and one i have started to think about. i dont know how im going to react when im told and really dont know if id be able to cope with my emotions as well as my dp at the same time if this one is a boy. Maby if i knew first then i could get over it in time before my dp knew IYKWIM. I will come to that stage when the time comes. who knows what i will decide

Hi all
Oh babymad i really truly feel for you. Im not sure what else i can add that charlie hasnt already said but i am thinking of you. I still think there is a great chance that there is a girl in there (i was sure of it from your 12 week scan pic) but i know if and when a fourth boy comes along, he will be an amazing final addition to your family. I have been going out of my way lately to find all the pro's to having boys over girls and the more i think about it, the more i have been getting my head around my gd. In fact when i go out now, instead of looking at all the little girls wishing i had one, i have almost trained my brain to look at the reasons why i wouldnt want one. It seems to be working! Plus there is something undeniably cute about seeing a mum surrounded by little boys!! X

I couldn't stay team green I'd need to know either way to either celebrate or get my head around things!
Deaks good luck with your sway this month!
Not much going on here, just plopping away, I should be cleaning as I'm finally at home for more than 5 seconds but all I want to do is sit on my arse and do nothing! :) so that's what I'm doing!

Then OH rang to say he is aching and can only work an hour then feels awful for an hour, aching too, exactly like I was so think its a virus as feel more energetic now thankfully!
Babymad sorry your feeling a bit down, hope you find some positive thinking soon, so hard!
Inglewood, love your name choices! Not sure Ill ever think about girl names unless I had a girl in my arms, dont want to go down that route really as think it may make the desire worse for a girl.
Hope everyone else is good, will catch up soon!

oh charlieispy, your post made me shed a little tear!! I hate GD, it is such a monster and it is so unfair that not everyone gets their DG and that there are so many people out there who go through what we all go through but without the great support we have from each other. Chocolate ~ Glad to hear you are feeling better! I was like you too, never allowed myself to think of a girls name until i was told i was carrying a girl.
Babymad ~ Only you know what’s right for you should you find out or not... it’s a hard decision but i do agree with the other girls when they say it sounds like not knowing is making you very unhappy. I pray you’re having a little girl, because you definitely deserve to hold a little girl in your arms after what you’ve been through!!!
Deaks ~ good luck next week! :)
Kell ~ i’ve recorded it! Was it good?
Charlieispy ~ i’m sorry to hear the headache is back. Do you usually suffer headaches in pregnancy?
Pinga ~ only 2 weeks! Eek how exciting! Are you nervous? :)

Yes sunset we are definitely lucky to have each other on here and have others who understand x x Today I thought WOW 16wks i could find out but i couldnt handle knowing its a boy for another 24wks....rather live in my bubble! I got headaches with ds2 and 3 they are like nothing i have ever had other than in pregnancy my head feels like it is in a vice its just horrible - ds3 isnt sleeping either as he is poorly so although i try not to take my cocodamol I havnt let myself as it knocks me out and with him in our bed I cant do that. So V tired and V sore head.
HIGH FIVE for getting in your jeans though!! V jealous at the mo i am feeling super F.A.T!!! Although i did take a crappy bump pic this morning will post it in a mo!

Oh and sunset I Love your avatar of her holding your finger!! So cute!
The programme was good, the families in it just seem so normal which I wasn't expecting! Amazing how the deal with 14 children! I wonder how on earth they afford it! I mean I'm sure they get some benefits or something but still that's alot of people to feed and clothe etc!

Ah babymad - kind of know how you feel but not exactly as you had your girl at one point. Must make it harder for you, i cant imagine that pain. I don't like to think about it but it still hurts for me to. I hate to say that as I feel it belittles dave and he deserves so much more than to be my gd baby. He is worth so much more than that. Feel like I have crawled over broken glass on my bear hands and knees to get him. I do feel like we are a complete family now. Maybe if I was millionaire and younger I would do ivf but I am getting past the dd thing ( but yes it's hard - I could easily cry out why not me? Why it's not fair!) but I find it better to ignore that and think of what do I have. Besides this maybe your girl! It's not over till it's over! I could well be the only smog carrying a boy! There are so many dreams I have that can't come true. A girl is just one of them. I just feel blessed to be pg one more time. Something I didn't think I would be able to do again.
Felt I'll today. Swelling up like a hot air balloon, feel sick, pain in my cervix, can't walk hardly ( much to everyones amusement!) seeing stars. Feels like pe but without the high bp or protein. Not sure I will escape it this time but if I don't I just want it to come now so I can get it over with. It's the not knowing and waiting I hate.

Ah Charlie your bump is lovely! Mine is rock hard but unbelievably still flabby underneath!!!! How I don't know! Nature is mocking me with a bump so rock hard yet still not taking up the slack of my pre pg flab! Grrghh! It will be by knees keeping my pelvic floor company soon enough!

But we did manage to find the baby with my Doppler last night! :) I let dp find it, at first he was wowing at my heartbeat pmsl! Then I say keep looking it'll be much faster than that! So he did and we found it!
Ds2 had a listen as well which was cute! I can't wait to let ds1 hear it! He was at his dad's last night!

Morning all,
kell amazing news hearing the little heartbeat!
Charlie what a great bump don't think I ever had such a lovely little bump at 16 weeks!
I had more spotting well actually it was tinged pink cm yesterday when I wiped and and when I went to the loo again it was clear cm so thought I was imagining things. Then it was a browny/grey CM, then back to pink and now clear this a.m but felt wet this a.m so thought I started bleeding again but just CM sorry TMI. This is the oddest cycle i've ever had!
I went to bed last night at 5pm until-8pm when dp when dp went food shopping. And I caught up on some telly, then watched the gypsy blood programme on 4 I wished I hadn't it made me feel really sick (all the blood, killing rabbits, chickens, bambi) and so sad for those boys. Don't like to judge people from an edited documetary but it's really hard not to.

inglewood - great pictures! :D
Charlie - I can't believe how great you look and this is your 4th!! My bump is sooo much bigger - mostly due to weak posture muscles - if that makes sense! I look about 10 weeks further along than I am :P
Sunset - not really nervous about my scan. I am pretty confident we'll hear boy. I have shed a few tears late at night... but I try not to think about it.
A sad day for me. Today it is 10 years since I lost my Mum! Can't believe I've been without her for that long...
We're off tomorrow so I'll catch up with you all in about a week...

Hi all,
Aww inglewood, those little girls are soo cute! and i just love the names! Ruby was on my list too :-) sounds like you had a perfect day out too x
Maybe, i know what you mean about the guilt and that our boys deserve so much more than to be gd babies, i try not to think of the times i felt really down due to him being a boy, it turns my stomach just to think of how i felt at my 16 week scan compared to the way i feel about him now. He is such a joy to have! when people ask me if im gonna have a 4th and try for a girl (which really pisses me off) i reply that if i could have ds3's twin then i would have him tomorrow! (which shuts them up pretty sharpish) as hes so good! hes a good sleeper, good eater, a true smiler and most importantly he makes us all smile, the older boys adore him and when they talk to him he really giggles at them which just melts my heart :-)) I truley believe he was sent to me for a reason and i couldnt be happier.
Babymad.. i totally understand how you feel, and all i can say is time is a great healer :-) For me, i think i made the right choice to find out the sex and im glad i done it alone so i could get over it by myself without worrying DH, i had 4 weeks to 'mourn a dd' and by 20 weeks it wasnt so hard. We are all here for you as you all were for me :-)
Sunset, ur pics are lovely, and ur fb comment made me giggle about you in ur size 6 jeans lol, think one of my legs alone is a size 6 haha.
Love to you all x x x

Babymad, don't know what to say other than I truly and honestly always believed had I swayed and had another boy then he was meant to be here, to be part of our family and I was meant to be a mum of boys. I couldn't imagine life without my ds2 (a major mummy's boy) who like ur ds3 is a cuddly, loving wee boy and he is amazing, just as I am sure ur baby will be. You mentioned before you bond quickly with your babies, so this little guy is gonna be super lucky to have a fab mum and dad and great brothers to show him lots and to love him. Can imagine the next wee while will be tough, esp if DH doesn't know, but you will prob feel better in the long run for knowing? I feel so guilty now about my GD when ds2 was born, found it hard to bond straight away, that's why I need to know this time, so I never felt like that again when my baby arrived. I have prob been been much more closer to ds2 over the past 5yrs than I prob was to ds1 at a young age. Congratulations, he'll be another wee man for you to love dearly!
Sending you lots of hugs. xx

i watched half an hour of it last night and had to turn away when they had them chickens fighting. im guessing the chicken killed the other chicken but i felt so sad. Especially when all the children were stood around watching and that bloke was willing the chicken to 'finish the other one off' just so horrid. No child should have to see that. babymad I really think the sexing scan was such a brave decision but the right one congratulations on your little boy. What a gorgeous little brood you'll have. I know how you must have felt because I felt my heart sink at the word it's a boy twice. But It wasn't because they were boy's but the fact that they weren't girl's IFYSWIM. You know you did your best by swaying and this was what was ment to be. Would a little shopping spre of lovely little boy bits make you feel a little better, Is there anyone in real life you can talk about it with? I felt really low for a few days but once I'd let it go talked it over with my friends it was easy to move on and focus my little boy growing in belly. Big hugs x

Ahh Babymad, sorry you didnt hear girl, take some time to feel disappointed without feeling guilty about it, thats fine to do!!
I think that families of all boys tend to get a bit of a better mother son bond because the boys dont have that 'mother/daughter' bond to compete with. They probably also have such a great bond with their brothers that this kind of sets them up to be a bit more open to continuing that bond with them and also their parents.
Hope that makes sense, If I end up with 4 boys I will be so sad to accept I won't have a girl, but I can see myself having family dinners with all 4 boys and just loving being the only female there and think we would all feel a bit closer to each other than if we had a girl there too. Its hard when we can't have one of the most important dreams in our lives, but am sure you will conquer it soon and will enjoy the benefits of having lots of boys, going to be some special close bonds in that household! I would have loved loved loved to have been 1 of the 4 of the same gender, how amazing!

Kell AF is Due on Wednesday CD 27 so in 5 days.
Deaks I know right?! Me too!
Charlie when I googled it (I know it shouldn't but I can't help it sounded like implantion spotting because of the tinged CM with the days PO) But I didn't make an attempt this month but suppose there is of course a teeny tiny chance I could be pregnant. But we only DD twice this month. Because at the start of the month DP pissed me off about my birthday so wasn't even talking to him, then we made up and then I started bleeding. Whe it stopped I got this awful cold. Both times it was with the withdrawel method and I used rephresh literally just before so highly doubt anything got through that combo!
I'll have to wait and see what happens on Wednesday really I guess. Just think my body is playing trick on me because I started TTC last month. So my hormones have gone doolally or something???! lol

Deaks wasn't really an attempt as we've used the withdrawal method for about a year as (slack) contraception and I haven't got pregnant but I did use rephresh before DD anyhow because swaying has made me a little paranoid.
I really do think it's my hormones.
Just read this 15 Kids and Counting - Why I'm not dying for a baby (http://www.largerfamilylife.com/2012/01/19/15-kids-and-counting-why-im-not-dying-for-a-baby/) if any of you watched 15 kids and counting it's the blog of the slightly bonkers mum pregnant with twin girls, well that's how she was edited. I thought her twins looked a good size for being born at 34 weeks and she left after two days turns out they weren't rushed in and were born at 36+ weeks! Bad editing. Worth a read.

Hi ladies,
Hope it doesn't feel intrusive that I only pop on this thread every so often. I keep up with lots of the posts that are sent to my email, but you miss quite a bit not that way.
Ingelwood~ Love Love Love the names. Its awesome how they go together without being "too Much" like sara and sari. LOL (hope I didn't just offend someone) The connection is great without being blaringly obvious! AND the girls are beautiful!!!! They look so peaceful in the scan pics. So happy you finally really KNOW they are girls.
Babymad~ If I can say, I agree with everyone else about knowing for sure about your little bean. I lost a girl this summer, I know exactly how you feel. I'm not even preggers yet and I think knowing the gender of the baby I lost will make it all that much harder if my next ends up a boy. Hate admitting it but its true. I will be in a white coat! no, really I might be. I know eventually I'd get over it, probably from the moment they are in my arms. (pretty much how I felt with DS2). Just always thought I'd have girls. How could I not? F*&%! thats what I always pictured without question.
Sunset~ The pics are beautiful of ALL of you! You must be over the moon. Hope your enjoying every moment :)
Zanacal~ Thats exciting that you will get a 4D scan can't wait to see the pics.
Deaks~ Hope your attempt goes well. I saw it was coming up soon. I will attempt in February. Hopefully you'll get a BFP and I'll be right behind you.

Thanks for your understanding everyone xx
I know I will love this baby when he arrives but at the moment I just feel so numb, I don't feel like I have an attachment at all. I'm sure that will change as time goes on.
These feelings aren't new to me, I suppose the difference is this time is that its so final there are no more chances....
I'd do anything not to feel so sad and empty, all I can think of is the things I will never experience or do or have.....my head is full of everything, It feel likes it's going to explode!!!
I love my boys more than life and they bring me so much happiness and I am very grateful to have 3 healthy kids, but there's always been part of me that's feel lonely and I know the only thing that would have changed those feelings of loneliness is having a daughter.
Strange isn't it, all I could think of last night ( didn't sleep at all!) is how different my day will be depending on my news....I was so scared of hearing boy and I do feel like my world has fallen apart.....but I know I'm not the first to feel like this and I'm sure I won't be the last, I just kept hoping as I was driving to the app that I would be driving home the happiness person in the world......
I thought someone must be filming it and playing an awful joke on me as it was horrible, the sonographer asked me the usual q's, how many kids did I have, what sex they were.....and then she had the nerve to tell me she had two girls and a boy and how horrified she was at having a boy and she couldn't have anymore kids incase she had another boy, I just laid there thinking...WTF!! I then got home to find a NEXT parcel had arrived and it was a beautiful pink dress that I had ordered in the NEXT sale at Xmas (I know what an idiot!!!) the day was destined to be awful.
I dread people's pity when he arrives- most people know I would have liked a girl at some point so I'm sure they will feel sorry for me....I just wish I cold fast forward time so he was here and I could get on with it..sorry I know that sounds heartless but I know I now have another god knows how many weeks of people saying this could be your girl!!
Thanks for letting me have my rant!! I don't know what I would do without you girls....xxx
Deaks ~ I think I'll do better dealing with this on my own - DH is supportive but he doesn't really get the pain and he doesnt really understand that to me my whole life path has changed because I will never have a DD.....plus he's seen me like this before! He thought this baby would be a boy so he won't be shocked!!
Fingers crossed a good nights sleep and all will look better tomorrow......Xx

Babymad, im so glad you are able to get your feelings off your chest with us and i do hope it helps. Its the day none of us want to face but some of us will and just knowing we can come on here and be supported means the world to us all. Your new baby (and your 3 bigger ones) are so lucky to have such an amazing mum and i really believe boys are given to some mums for a reason, because many mums would be hopeless with boys.
Sunset, im gonna relax timing in as much that im gonna dtd at around 8pm and 10pm on the day after my smiley face whether that is o+12 or not. I generally ov late so if anything it will be a little early but it will be much less stressful than cervix poking etc. My plan will be to get kids to bed, dh gets home, dtd, send dh down to make food, eat, tele, dtd, bed, done! much less stressful than cervix poking!

Wow babymad some people just say the most stupid things! I think with the comments about it being a possible girl, I find they make me smile now. I just say when people ask that I don't know the sex but I feel boy because I know boys and am a boy mum and have kept all my boys things. No one ever says after that they hope a girl is on it's way. To be honest I get more '3 - you must be mad!' comments. Again I just laugh. Not many people could hack three kids and my job but I like my hectic full little life.
If you need any boys things let me know. I can photograph my bits and post you what ever you like. Stay strong it will be a bit better tomorrow but I think it might hurt for a while yet x

Finally heard the placenta on the doppler, been trying for ages and only heard possible movements, the placenta was tucked far over to the left hand side, almost where I'd class as out of womb area. Its also right next to my artery or something so easy to miss it, just hope I hear the heartbeat soon. I really hope the ramzi theory works for me, but knowing me ill be in that rare 3 percent of it not being right ha ha!

Deaks have a lovely day in Norfolk looking at cottages sounds devine!
Chocolate ooh what does a placenta sound like? Sounds promising being on the left! Really hope it's your little girl in there! will you be going for an early sexing scan at the same place your going to you 8 week scan?
My friend with her two little boys one ds1 age the other only two weeks older than ds2 came to play today , the boys had a great time. Lots of boys really are fun and good company!
How are all those bumps coming allong? Is everyone through the worst of the sickness?
Now just having a sofa day before work later, can't afford to pull another sickie as much as I want to will just have to soldier on.

Lavenderlime, hope you feel better soon. I have days where if I dont eat the right way/amount then I start to feel sick, I find having too much to eat is the worse for it, so find a thick milkshake for brekkie sorts that out, and then just a small mid-morning meal/snack.
The placenta noise is like a whistling/windy noise, can't mistake that one like you could a heartbeat, really hope its a good sign, I thought it was to the left at 6 week scan but never asked because I felt silly and couldn't trust my interpretation so will def. ask at the private scan seeing as Im paying for it. If it is left then I know Ill think girl in the back of my head which I dont really want to but gotta be better than hearing right side! Still dont want to know gender because even if I hear girl Ill worry something will snatch my dream away, gender desire sucks!

Woke up this morning and you were the first thing i thought about babymad, giving you another big virtual hug and thinking of you. Oh and we're off to Norfolk today for a windy/rainy romp on wells beach and a second viewing on a cottage :) Babymad, we should meet up there one day! X
Thanks Deaks, means a lot xxx
Hope you have a lovely week-end, it would be great to meet up :) Where do you stay when you go?
I didn't have the best night, and that awful bit when you wake up and for a split second none of it was true.....then reality kicks in! I feel like I must be a really bad person or something as everywhere I turn there are baby girls and it's like someone wants me to feel worse than I already do! A girl sat next to me today with a 6 week old girl, it hurt like hell :(
Have you done your attempt yet??

Thanks Maybe xx I was so certain when we did PDG that I would never have any more children naturally and if the PDG didn't work I would be complete with 3 children, but because we found out that DH could make girls ( I honestly thought he couldn't) and because we lost our little girl I struggled to let my dream go! But I did give every item of boys clothes away as I was so certain If I needed baby clothes again they would be pink.....you just never know what's round the corner...!!
So if you have any baby bits spare that would be great, but dont worry if you don't as you'll be needing them just as much as much as me :)

Babymad I'm quite a bit ahead of you so I won't need the sizes the same time as you plus I have way to much! I will work out how best to get some photos online then you can see if you like anything and I will post them on. Seems silly to buy lots of newborn and 0-3 if I can help out.

I'm so so sorry you never heard the words you so wanted to hear Babymad. I can believe they made those comments while doing your scan, some people just don't think! Take all the time you need to grieve, every one of us on here is here for you. Sending lots of huge hugs and love your way, one step at a time <3 xx

Hi hun, that feeling of waking up and forgetting for a split second then remembering is sheer torture. I do hope it gets easier for you really quickly. I seem to remember constantly crying for about 4 days and then it started to get easier daily. I guess it will be harder for you than that but it WILL get easier.
We stay in various places when we go to norfolk but generally somewhere between wells and Holt. I just love it over there so much. However, after our second viewing today i think we have probably decided to sell our current house and buy our forever house somewhere rural round here instead of buying a second home over there. Just not sure what we would gain other than the beach nearby when we did visit but then we made a successful day trip to the beach today so probably we should just do that more often! But we will still visit as much as possible so you should just let me know when you are holidaying there and we could come over for a play on the beach!!!! Sooooo much fun! X

Chocolate~ I could not agree with you more. I literally could have written this post. I have thought these things many times.

ALL of this is exactly how I felt when I found out I was carrying DS7... not DD1. How different you picture your life to be, how cruel life is instead. I too didn't tell DH. I went to the scan in secret with my sister (told him I went shopping). I had to live with the sadness for another 8 days until the "official sexing scan" was. I cried so hard for those 8 days so when it came time to find out with DH & my 6 boys I wan't so sad. I never wanted my boys to see me sad about another boy so had to do it to prepare myself.
Fast forward 9 months and my DS7 is 3 months old and the sweetest, cutest (largest - ouch!), most perfect addition to the family. Of course I'm still sad about not having a DD. I am desperate for her but every day gets easier. You can overcome GD. I have several times!
I believe everything happens for a reason. Stay strong sweetheart. I know precisely how you feel. (((((hugs)))) :hug2::bighug:

Oh god I think I am more excited about my pram than the baby who's going in it! It's lovely! Been to Portsmouth outlet today and got dave some older bits in the sale. Number one little brother top in next, dinosaur top, blue asides crib shoes etc. Neither boys cottoned on it's a boy! I have a romper that says boy too but they are still clueless! Just done some overtime to pay for it and working Saturday now too!
I just want him to come now! I want to
Meet him! ( and to stop the booting I get all the time from him too!) ooh so excited this weekend. The crib is up too!

pram sounds super Charlie, I will start browsing soon....hope the funeral goes as OK as it can.
Babymad- thinking of you :HH: what I find annoying is that one of us can't go through the GD, we all (or a lot of us) have to go through it and slog it out until it gets better. Wish there was a magic spell just to take the GD away. It sucks and is just NOT fair. Praying you start to feel little improvements soon. What is amazing is that people do get over it and don't look back, praying this happens for you fast. Stay strong hun.

Oh babymad, congrats on your little boy! Im soooo sorry you didnt hear girl, i know exactly how you feel hun. Its just not fair sometimes :-( you did ALL you could do to sway the odds so just remember this little boy is just meant to be in this world with your lovely family, wow hes gonna be so loved, all your sons are gorgeous! It will take some time to get used to i know but as time goes on it will get easier, thinking of you x x
I live an hour and a half away from Wells and North Norfolk and we often pop up there for a day out so id defo be up for a smog meeting in the summer, that would be great :-)))
Maybe, i soo know what you mean about pushchairs! they are just the best part (other than the baby) haha. I love mine although its so big i just love it!
Ds3 and i had our check up today at the docs, we are both fine and i was given a prescription to go back on the pill, my doc said 'considering your age i suggest you go on this one' i was like are you calling me old lol, He said well at 31 your fertility isnt what it was!! how rude lol.

Omg petal I'm 37 which seems to be a 'young mum' in Surrey. Possibly as you to hit 40 before you can buy a house around here. Not sure what I will do after dave comes. Dh still plans the snip which I think is for the best. But then it's no ivf and no baby ever. Dh says we can talk about it after the birth but tbh were both getting on now. Worked out I might be 50 and still standing outside junior school like the boys gran!!!

Hello sixhappysons! All the best TTC next month!
Sunset, hope Serena is doing well?
Deaks and Lavender, not been on for a day or 2 and with preggo brain, did u guys attempt this wkend? how did it go?
Indigo, how are u keeping?
Maybe, do u tend to go over with ur babies? Remember we laughed our babies might be born close together? Mine could be here 10wks on thurs!!!!!! OMG! Get my section date in 4wks.
I have a scan tomorrow, my routine hosp scan, so hoping all is well and they are thriving well together. A mum I'm kinna friendly with at school who has a 4wk old girl handed me a bag of baby clothes! FAB!! esp when buying for 2! so chuffed. I met another mum at the school today who will find out after 3 boys the sex of her baby in 2 wks and another mum said... "Oh, she'll be sick with envy if it's a boy and u got 2 girls" She just looked at me and smiled, but inside I knew how she felt to wait and worry (this mum admitted she had been trying for a girl since her ds2 was born) I felt so so bad for her, esp since I do feel a bit guilty having 2 and believe me feel super blessed, I just wish we were all given our girls. That other mum was so insensitive! I can't stop thinking about how that other mum must feel after that comment! Hope she gets her girl to shut that other mum up!! xx
Well, sorry not many personals, have MEGA tidied my house today and my back is breaking, so off to rest on the couch and watch some Tv.
Catch up tomorrow ladies, nite xx

I think we've all been in a similar situation to that at some point
Serena is doing geat :) I cant believe she's 3 weeks old already and she's nearly grown out of her early baby clothes. At the moment she's wearing the outfit i bought for my sway back in january last year. I can't believe what a journey it's been!

Inglewood, don't feel guilty, you deserve this and it is just lovely that you can empathise and understand how that other mum is feeling and don't go around making stupid comments. All of us on here are SO much more sensitive to other people so at least having our gender desire has made us better, more sensitive and kind people. Ifkwim.
I had a lovely coffee with maybebaby this morning! Had a good old chat and my little ds2 was relatively well behaved and let us talk (for hours!). Maybe- you look amazing by the way, NOT enormous!! I'd say blooming! Hope you had a lovely relaxing afternoon :HH:

lavender you asked earlier about the us preggy girls with the sickness, im still feeling yucky. i wake up every morning feeling like ive got a hangover and literally have to drag myself out of bed . just have this sick feeling all the time! hoping its all worth while!
have my first MW appointment on Thurs and hoping she's going to get me booked in for a scan! hoping because i haven't gone early to see her that it wont take longer to get my 12 weeks scan appointment!
Babymad- sending you a real big hug! hoping it gets easier for you as the time passes on!
inglewood! Yes you are definitely blessed to be having '2' girls but have every right to! your girls chose you and are lucky to have you as a mummy! So nasty of the mum to make horrid comments about the boy mum! i too hope she has a girl just to shut the other mum up. No doubt she has one of each so couldn't possibly understand what she is saying!!!
GL with your MW app Littlemiss :) I didn't see the MW until I was 10 weeks either and thought my scan would be late but it was bang on time so hopefully you won't have to wait too long. Hope the sickness eases soon x

Ah thanks for a lovely morning indigo. Your ds is just so cute! He seems like a happy little boy! I can't belive your still running around, my insides would fall out if I ran now. Another mum asked if I was ok on the afterschool as I was in so much pain. I feel like a real moaner now
Inglewood I am due on the 8th march. Ds1 was three weeks early and ds2 was about 7 days late. So who knows with this one? I hope early but I am watching the 15 kids of counting I recorded. The mums on there who feel addicted to being pg mad me a bit sad. I should be loving every second but it just beeping hurts!! I kept saying that's going to be me with 15 kids. I think I can totally understand wanting just one more and ending up with 15. I did laugh at the baby being sick while the toddler was crying etc. That felt quite a bit like my life with two!
Going to try to remember to enjoy each little pain now as this is supposed to be my last - ;-)

Babymad - it's hard avoiding pink and little girls and girly things. Next is a no go for me some days. Oh and the kids section in monsoon! Do you a sister or girlie friend? I keep reminding myself I have a lovely sister who loves the spa and shopping. My mum on the other hand detests shopping! She tuts if she has to queue for more than one minute ( why???? Your retired woman!!! What else have you to rush off for???) she also hates spending money and when I tell her how much things cost she asks if I am loaded! '£3 for a sandwich?? You must be loaded!!! £1 for a cup of tea??? You must earn a fortune???' me ' er no - where do you live? The moon!' takes the fun out of shopping trip with her!
If you love the girlie things you don't exclusively need a dd for that. The other things are a bit more tricky. My son loves shoes and buying shoes so he is fun for that. What I miss is quite painting and fairy play etc. Right now they on the floor in front of me play fighting. That's great too. It's just the noise! Mostly the constant giggling by the one while the other one shouts. I imagine my girl would be watching with me on the sofa while knitting or sewing but she would probably be at the bottom of a bundle ripping the boys hair out in reality.

ar yeah bit far from the midlands...wells it is!
so i got my offical +opk just now but it was almost + at 1pm so i reckon my surge was nearer then. I take quite a while to ov after my lh surge so i should really be counting at least 40hrs but that is going to land right in the daytime and my bd hours are only 8pm til 6am so im pretty much screwed! will either have to bd early and risk bding over ov or bd late and risk missing the egg altogether. Have had my usual phone call begging dh to take a day off... but it never works :(

Wow you guys have been busy today!
Deaks where abouts in Herts are you? I'm in Stevenage, small world! We also looked at a few places in Bedford/ Biggleswade but haven't acted on them, need to get a decent deposit together :(
Inglewood hope the scan went ok!
Babymad hope things get easier soon!
Maybe lol I could see myself going for 15 without meaning to! And she was talking about 16/17 with her daughter! Crazy lady!! I suppose with that many kids what one or two more gonna hurt!
Nothing to report here really, feeling less and less sick which is good! I'm busy trying to arrange 13 grandchildren ranging from 28-9 months old to get a picture of us all together for my nan's 80th birthday in a couple of week! You have no idea how difficult it is to get us all together! Will be worth it tho!
I've also managed to get ds2 out of the cot and into the bottom bunk so far so good 4 nights and no waking! He's actually been sleeping better!

It is such hard work having to fend off people's comments all the time, even at a funeral, goodness! feels like you always have to be on the ball and ready with a quick answer. such a shame you have to feel the pressure (like you said, we all do more or less), it is all other people.
re the swaying, in a way it is reasurring to think there is nothing we could have done, then you can't blame yourself but it is also a bit depressing that you really can't do anything to sway your odds. I do believe in certain things like the LE diet etc but wish I didn't as I was SO bad on it....oh well, nothing i can do now...
are you still feeling rubbish? I'm on a really bad patch at the moment, 12 weeks tomorrow so hopefully will start to emerge from this awful, depressing, non-stop sickness.

Thats lovely that you are close to your sister :) Shame that its not quite the same with your mum though.
Unfortunatley im not close to me family (long story) I haven't seen my dad for many many years and its been 4 yrs or so since I last saw my mum, although we haven't lived with each other since I was 14 so our relationship has never been a close one. I do have a brother and we do get along but he's in Liverpool so we don't see each other very often. I do miss having a family. I would have loved to have a sister. My friends have always been my family.
The play fighting and noise drives me mad at times, I would live to sit down and draw and paint nails and play with hair! Thats why i've never understood why I was blessed with boys (apart from the obvious reason of course that DH's family are ALL male!) because I am so much more girly.

Babymad I know it's not going to make things better but from every girl mum I've ever spoke to I've heard that girls are so much more difficult than boys, I guess we all look at thing through rose tinted specs with regards to girls like painting, pretty princesses who are well behaved angles, but reality is always so different!
My neighbours girls are a nightmare, now I'm sure some of that is parenting skills but I think some of it is just being a diva!
I know it's no help but I have every faith our dreams are far from reality.

Just seen the end of 15 and counting. 19 hour labour for her 15 th baby??? Are you kidding! So much for it gets quicker each time! She must have an amazing pelvic floor! And they was both so glam! If I had that many kids my dh wouldn't come near me! I would be a mess.

Maybe that's a really valid point actually! My dad had 3 girls me and my sisters, he always talked about wanting a boy but always in a joke kinda way so gd didn't seem that bad, but deep down I know he always wanted one!
Well he now has two grandsons from me, and he loves my boys! Honestly I never saw it till now but your so right! He got his boys just took longer than expected! And the best part he gets to hand them back when they play up hehe!
Dad will take ds1 out to do 'man things' and they both love the time together!
Have u got 15 and counting on series link? I just watched this weeks one, not quite so Glam in parts! And one woman had 12 girls!!!!

Babymad, sorry to hear about ur family, some of my Dh's family are estranged and it's complicated. Bet u have lots of girly friends though to hang out with and enjoy girl time. Most of my friends aren't really girly, so think I have 'lost touch' with that side of me having the boys. My closest friends are gay and now live in London, they don't have kids and are by no means 'girly'. We used to laugh on nights out, they were jeans and casual and I was lipstick and heels!! lol Changed days, my 'rare' nightout and I'm hunting my out heels! But we still have the pamper days together and I love my 'kinna girly' time with my friends, that's a special bond and since I never had a sister it's nice to have good friends. Shame mine live in London now!
As for the car, looking at s-max like u have, just not many about (looking for diesel). Have a horrible feeling won't have one by the time they come in 10/11wks. AHH!
Deaks, Fx for ur attempt! will u be setting an alarm?????
Sunset, what a lovely moment putting her in ur 'sway' outfit, bet u had a huge smile.
Babymad, I won't be (hopefully) as early as beg march, but def a month after. x
AFM, need to go back and read more, before posting...had 4 pages to read...lol
Had my scan and all was well. One baby is head down the other breech and twin 1 (breech) weighs approx 2lbs 1oz! They other just a liitle under...both seem happy and doing well. My mum was asking tons of questions, asking to see the 'girly bits' and was making me laugh....she doesn't hold back, but in a nice way, she's not loud or pushy, was just excited!! Bless her. Saw Consultant who pushed for my physio appt (Fri at 11am) as my back aches +++ and told her I have developed a varicose vein (downstairs!!)...just to keep an eye on it! She said I looked pale and being so tired they checked my bloods as they were missed weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!

Yes kell I recorded them all. Looking forward to the 12 girl one - looks like hard work. I think the last one left me thinking I could 15 but in reality very few people could parent 15 that well. Made it look to easy! 15 teenagers is nightmare surely? Kids are like puppy's sometimes all cute until they get big and eat you out of house and home for ten years plus! My son already eats more than me and he's eight and about three stone of skin and bone! I couldn't Offord to feed 15. Strange as I guess the series is meant to shock but I am left in awe of them!
My mum only had us two girls. Lost three baby's including two boys after the both so she loves my boys. She has never said she hopes I have a girl. I know she understands though. We never talk about it but she understands I'm sure.

Inglewood - glad the scan went well. Your vein sounds ouchy! The pain in my unmentionables is unbearable. That's why I'm not loving this pg. Never had this before and it hurts so much. Just realised yesterday I can't do a plank in yoga any more ( why I want to try is a mystery even to me) those mussels are gone now. Nothing holding my core together. Maybe hence more pain? Everything is sitting on my pelvic floor. Must be hard with twins

Morning all!
Petal, I have bought them quite alot now, well it seems alot, but trying to think how many bodysuits, sleepsuits etc I will need a day/week... I will need and x2! Not cheap! Have bought tons of nappies, wipes, bibs etc...other mums think I'm prob crazy, been asking them how many nappies they go thru a day....lol trying to stock up before half pay kicks in at the end May. All the Baby events are the supermarket are great, but don't want to over-buy and people give gifts and I end up with too many of one size. Although my mum can swap for bigger sizes. People have been SO kind and given me buggies, car seats, nearly new baby clothes and my in-laws got our cot bed, mattress and divider. I feel so lucky as only have 1 of everything!. So far other than clothes I've bought all my Avent stuff half-price in mothercare's sale. Feels very odd buying for girls, was buying leggings for them with tops and thought why am I not buying dresses?? Not intentional, just think my brain is in trouser mode having boys! Got a few dresses now, but no skirts tho! Gonna clean my pram and try to sell it, prob won't get much, but every little helps and it's still in great condition considering both boys were in it.
Got all the Maternity paperwork from work thru, start mat leave 1st April-30th Sept, then I'll prob take a few wks annual leave, so back at work mid oct. Doesn't seem long! Wish I could afford to take a year off! They will be about 6/7mths when I go back, hoping they are in a decent routine for Dh as he'll have to get up thru the night himself with them then go to work himself!! Then I'll be sleep deprived all day waiting till he gets home to grap a few hrs kip unless they are good afternoon nappers? My boys were, but betcha this time these babies won't be!! lol
Deaks, FX for ur attempt!
Sunset, were u given steriods before Serena was born? was it to stop labour? My consultant told me yest she would give me some a week or 2 before twins come, she said she would explain better nearer the time. I'm guessing it's to either stop me going into labour myself and/or help babies pre-delivery???
Maybe, thankfully my vein 'downstairs' isn't sore, just hope it doesn't get worse! Not long now and urs will go! My mum said she had the same prob in pg and it went after birth. The joys!!
They move like mad these days and it's quite painful, esp the baby on my left (the smaller one!)...OMG can it kick!!! They are now lying like yin and yang again, so kicked up and down my bump. I was shocked they can still move, but oh yes and don't I know it!!!
Have a great day ladies!

Hi all, hope you are well.
Inglewood bet it does get expensive, at least they can share clothes but means you will need to wash and dry twice as fast! You gotta get some dresses, Id get them for young up to 9 months before they start crawling as a pain to crawl in them lol. You can do loads, shorts with tights or leggings, so cute!
My 8 week ish scan is tomoz night, thought I was picking up placenta noise on the doppler but dont think it was and I heard DS2's heartbeat at this stage and nothing so a bit concerned, but will see what happens, at least there def. was a heartbeat at 6 weeks so that hard part has been accomplished ifuswim.
Will post tomoz after the scan xx

Deaks, FX for ur attempt!
Sunset, were u given steriods before Serena was born? was it to stop labour? My consultant told me yest she would give me some a week or 2 before twins come, she said she would explain better nearer the time. I'm guessing it's to either stop me going into labour myself and/or help babies pre-delivery???
I was yes. I got given 2 shots 24 hours apart.. The steroid injection works by helping the baby's lungs to mature quicker so they're not as likely to suffer breathing problems if they're born early.

Charlie that sounds like SPD or sciatica (sp) poor thing!
I'm going crazy for fruit at the moment, today I've eaten two clementines an apple, banana and massive Bunch of grapes, it's gotta be really juicy or I'm not interested! Oh and now I've gone off chicken completely!!
My belly is starting to show a little now, do you know what the best time to feel the baby is when I've woken up first thing and I need the loo, my bump looks massive! I love it lol!

Thinking about boy names - what do you think about sky and euan? I am a bit of a nature lover so sky is a good hippy name ( maybe not a great name for a middle aged man?) and euan can mean from the yew tree. Ds2 is also a tree. Love petals oakly and names like that. Ds1 and 2 are both Celtic names begining with r.
Think our parents would hit the roof with sky!

Sunset, Thanks, thought it would be because of their lungs being born at 36wks.
Just watched OBEM, what did u all think of it? Betcha that girl regrets saying she would be dissapointed to have another girl when her wee girl watches it years later and asks why she said that!

I like Sky, I only know female Sky's as Charlie has said but it can be a unisex name as I know a female Sam, George and Jaimie I actually really like boy names on girls. And a male Jude which I always thought of as a female name even with Jude Law being so famous. I guess most names have a male and female equivalent especialy on the contanant. Charlie I know an Indiana! He's two and his brother is Artimous (sp?) Indy and Arto for short. I love hippy/unusual names. I love Valentine for a boy but DH would never allow it so I used it for one of our cats instead! Could talk about baby names all day. Maybe that's why some mum's have so many haha actually think I'd run out by number 15!

Hi all....
just been skimming through all the posts!!!!
We just got back from our camping trip - went to Apollo Bay a beautiful spot on the south coast. I'm completely knackered but we had a fantastic time. DS1 loved building sandcastles and my little daredevil was straight in the water - it was freezing... but didn't stop him. The only problem was they woke up sooooo early with the sun. I was asleep by 9.30pm every night :)
Thanks everyone for your kind comments... I miss my Mum every day... my Dad too. Sometimes it feels very unfair. I miss just being able to talk to them.
Babymad - Still thinking of you. Hope the heartache eases a little soon. Just feel what you need to feel. I bet your little DS will be ultra sweet to show you that boys are great! :) Hugs to you...
Lavender - Valentine was my uncles middle name - he was born on Valentines Day though :)
DH turned round the other day and said we really can't use a particular name. I've been concerned that it wouldn't work with my the other boys names but I still LOVE it. Now that he said its a no-no. If this is a boy it will seriously have NO NAME! Oh well practically halfway... give us a bit of time to "discuss".
Anyways I have a huge pile of washing after our holiday!!

Pinga, glad u had a great camping trip, my boys would LOVE it! Dh takes them camping with his brother, but believe me it's rough camping in the woods with the midgies, back to basics with no luxuries!! But they love it!! Not me, I stay at home, not a camping girl. Now I have an excuse not to go....
My Ds2 didn't have a name until he was 3 days old, I find boys names tough as Dh and I have different taste in names. FX it's girls names ur choosing soon! When is ur scan, next wk?

I like the name sky, but like most haven't heard it as a boys name, I like it!
I just watched one born, the lady in the birthing pool was so quick!! She was gutted about having another girl, even apologised to her son!
I thought the disabled lady was lovely! And she coped so well in labour! I was so pleased to see how she was getting on after as well! And what a loving supportive husband she has!

LOVING 'Call the midwife' series, finally got round to wataching first 2 episodes today! I have the book, but got about 1/4 of the way thru it and now it's been so long I'd have to start again. x
Anyone have any mad cravings??? I wouldn't say they are 'cravings' but I love Pistachio nuts, salad cream and pepsi max...things I can honestly say I've never bothered with much before. Not a huge nut fan or fizzy juice and don't think I have had salad cream for years!!!! Oh and eat tons more tomatoes!! x

Littlemiss I got my reading from TTCbabylovepredictions. I got the link from the thread on here. I got the reading for $5 but because she took a week to reply to me she did my my next two children instead of just my next child.
Do let us know what you here back when paypal is up and running.
Charlie good luck with your reading, I'll be really interested to see what they come back to you with. I really want to have a reading in RL My MIL went to an evening and the lady was really accurate calling her by her name before addoption which very few people know and said kots if other correct things. A weird thing she said was does your son have a daughter which she replied no and she said she could see a little giril and that he would have a daughter and she would be planned.Tthis was about the time when I first looked into swaying which nobody knew about. But MIL thought she was talking about DP's older brother who she had mentioned earlier in the reading and had got lots of things correct about him (He has no kids ans him and his long term GF have no immediate plans for kids) really hope it was about DP. Think I'm Going to go and see her for a private reading.
I've missed call the midwife can't wait to catch up on iplayer when we get the net back.

Hey all just a quick one, scan showed bubs is there and growing so very happy! She thought placenta to right so = boy!! But she seemed confused about how to tell which side so not thinking much of if it is to the right - but I do now think boy and am ok with that, feel no different. Placenta is to the front so hard to hear heartbeat too
